Lions CAN acclimatize to winter

In zoos of the north they have been observed to grow thicker fur in response to cold.

And I live in such climate with snowy winters, and I felt unsure about "impossibility" of lions in such climate. And feel really sad because of being in the completely wrong climate. But I'm relieved, lions simply get fluffier like most animals and that's all!

Time to go get some warm faux fur clothes, as this lioness will become floof for the winter!! Until the next perfectly hot summer!

As someone who probably isn’t alterhuman/otherkin I find those sorts of headcanons super cool and I kick my feet in excitement… anyway I don’t know why I chose a lion for killer.. I just rlly like lions..

I’ve been seeing a lot of tiktoks lately about ‘fake therians choosing their theriotype’

But we shouldn’t jump to conclusions with everyone.

You might see a MLP fan say they’re a pony therian.

You might see a furry who’s theriotype is the same animal as their fursona.

You might see someone with the very common wolf theriotype.

To use myself as an example, you might see an autistic with a special interest of the lion king be a lion therian.

Some see these types of therians and think ‘they’re not a real therian, they just have a favourite animal.’

But to me, my lifelong attachment to lions was the most telling sign that I am one.

Sometimes, being a therian is seeing a dead bird at the beach and thinking “Man, now I’m hungry!” while knowing you cannot eat that dead bird.

My time interacting with the community after a long break has been wild. So many posts and individuals putting an emphasis on how we don’t actually think we are animals�� I saw stuff like this back in the day, throwing each other under the bus to try and look better to humans. Normalize bunting as a love language

Lions will often greet each other with this head bunting behavior when returning to a pride after a hunt.

I love doing this to my mom, I feel so happy!

And my kitten does this to me, I do this to him; the harmony.

Bunting is a form of animal behavior, often found in felids, in which the animal butts or rubs its head against other things, including people. Bunting as a behaviour can be viewed as a variation of scent rubbing.

get a lion charm for a necklace or bracelet!

get some lion plushes or clothes! theres nothing suspicious about that, you just seem like a big lion fan!

Wear lots of big fluffy scarves if you remember having a mane. Super subtle!

wear lots of tans and golds

decorate your room in a way that reminds you of your habitat!

if you play dnd, play as a leonin! maybe even play as rajan!

play wrestle with friends, take “cat naps” and do other lion like activities that are discreet and easy to play off!
