i'm glad in the last one the artist shows not just the plus-sized one being healthy but the thinner one as well. i know it's not the more prevalent issue in society, but i've heard body shaming for people being "too thin" as well, and it can affect someone's mentality just as much.

disclaimer: the background i come from influences my thoughts, words, and actions and by no means are my words here intended to pass judgement. my only intent is to praise the artist for their truly non-judgemental portrayal of this issue.

Oldest child of Lusamine Delacroix and Mohn Cousteau-Delacroix, age 14.

Harsh, aggressive, untrusting and ill-tempered. Inherited his mother's rebellious nature.

The type to attack first and ask questions later.

Thinks lowly of the Aether Foundation as a whole, and has been suspicious of his mother's motivations in recent years.

An enforcer for the Team Skull gang, acts as an aggressor for Guzma when necessary, though he has little to no warmth for the other members, and it is mutual.

Fiercely protective of his little sister, to a self-destructive point.

He hates outer space. No, the kid absolutely hates it. Don't talk to him about it. Don't show him anything from it. It's ruined his life. He hates it here.

Has been taking up mechanical work as a hobby, has learned how to hotwire cars while hanging around Skull.

This kid can hold so much angst.

Did not inherit much, if any, Ultra Human abilities from Lusamine, aside from keen senses, and perhaps abnormal physical strength for a 14 year old.

Has he said how much he hates outer space?

Oh my god. I love this quiz. I'm going to imagine a story with this journey you just took me on

This is what I was trying to make —

I have made a golden dagger forged with grave dirt, set with my joys, embedded with a seasick-looking turquoise. It has a carved wooden hilt with a golden chain wrapped, partially melted, around it, infused into the material like it's part of the same. It shines but only as a reflection; it's not perfect, but I don't know what's missing, it does only most what what I intended it to do. I wanted a dagger that puts my mind at ease and pushes me forth with joy and confidence, but it feels more like a cover up than a true connection to the soul. When I break contact from it, it's like I came back to my real self, and the me who wields it isa separate entity altogether. I believe in perfection, and this is not it; anything manmade cannot be perfect (and that's okay).

This is what I actually made —

a ring

you’ve made the band simple and beautiful, and inlaid just the details needed to make it special. not too gaudy, not too plain. it’s a ring meant to last forever, meant to be worn forever; when you put it on someone, it wraps around their finger perfectly, delights them. you’ve tried to make it something that people will keep. you needn’t have worried: no matter who you put it on, with time, it starts to wrap tighter around their finger. starts to cling. starts to constrict. you can’t take it off of them, when they beg you to get them free; their skin starts to redden, to bruise, to go black. the only time they manage to get it off is when the finger goes with it. as a sign of devotion, it leaves a strong impression. nobody that you pledge yourself to leaves without a mark.

[Emergency Meeting]

Rayquaza was lying down with Heidi, Lati, and Lillie. Lati was holding onto Lillie as if she was holding on for dear life, while Heidi was brushing her hair.

"So, the imposter's still there, huh?" Heidi rolled her eyes. "She had the nerve to try this shit."

She is, yes. What is important that the others are keeping a close eye on her. We do not want for her to be privy to the plan and escape, yes?

Heidi nodded.

Lillie turned to Lati and decided to return the little one's embrace. "Dad told me that you were upset that I was away…. Are you doing okay now?"

"Mmhm." Lati nodded and dug her head into Lillie's body. "Glad that you're okay."

"Awww… Lati…" Lillie tightened her hug a little.

"…" Looking at the two of them caused Heidi to smile. It was nice to have a little sense of normalcy in between these unpredictable times. She kissed both Lati and Lillie on the forehead and patted Rayquaza on his side before getting up. "Alright. So, I have a plan. Since this imposter is attempting to infiltrate us, this may be our best shot to cornering her and forcing information out of her. The plan's simple: lead her to Dragonhark Altar to meet Rayquaza, then we surround her and block all points of exit. We prevent her from venturing onto the stairs, jumping off the ledge, or even flying higher the skies. Once we have her, we wear her down, tie her up, and take her back to this Hall for questioning. She may resist and try to attack us with her team, but there's only one of her and many of us. She'll not stand a chance against us."

Hm… simple, but secure. However, what if she attempts to call for backup? She may attempt to stall for a distraction.

"Hmph. Oh, don't worry about that. Jeanne's going to make sure she's not requesting ahead of time… and, once we are in position, we can easily steal the phone from her before anything is done – or, I should say our little X factor can do so." Heidi started walking towards the downstairs stairwell. "Let me go get her now."

Lati and Lillie stopped hugging as they both watched Heidi go downstairs. Just what was she going to get?

It took several minutes for Heidi to return, but when she did, there was someone with her.

“Can’t call anybody if we take her tools first.” Zinnia walked past Heidi and waved at the sitting trio.

“!!! Sister!” Lati got up and ran over to Zinnia.

“Zinnia! You’re okay!” Lillie ran to give Zinnia a hug.

“Hey heyyyyy,” Zinnia pulled both of her sisters a tight hug. “Ooph. Is it me or you two got so much cuter since I last saw ya~” She laughed and then let them both go. Zinnia patted both of their heads and started walking to Rayquaza. “And it’s good to see you too, dad.”

Lorekeeper….

Rayquaza got up a little and moved to meet Zinnia half-way. The dragon used his claws to lightly touch her face, analyzing it – and her in return. He could tell that something was different about Zinnia… that she’s changed dramatically from the last time she departed from their home. She felt more… alive… more primal… more like him.

“...If you’re not gonna hug me, dad, then I’ll pull you in myself.” Zinnia reached over and pulled Rayquaza into the largest form that her human form could muster. “Fuckin’ old man can’t even hug his daughter when… when she’s missed him more than anything else—”

Rayquaza perked up a little bit as he started to hear sniffling, followed by a tear landing on his scales.

“The imposter Lillie attacked Zinnia,” Heidi clarified as she and the other two walked towards the father and daughter. “She was shot in the chest. If it weren’t for Tsukuyomi, she would have been dead. Instead, Nami saved her and Kathy, Arya, Celeste, and I eventually found her.” Heidi stopped short of joining the hug. “She’s saved and returned to us but… not as the young girl that we knew before.”

Zinnia was now sobbing. Despite trying to be strong, her father’s presence and the reminder of her lost humanity overwhelmed her. Despite having the time to process everything, she couldn’t help herself. All of this pain and heartache that spawned from a single interaction was too much for her. What is she now? What would her father think of her? What if Tsukuyomi never came, and Zinnia was left lying on the floor, fighting for dear life during her final moments? All of this turned the sob to a full fit as she tightened her grip around Rayquaza.

Rayquaza looked down at Zinnia and nuzzled her face.

It is okay, Zinnia. Your father is here for you. I will always be here.

Heidi, Lati, and Lillie joined her as the family continued to console Zinnia. No matter what happens, they will be there for her.

Lilly was slow to stand after she reformed, her breathing labored, the air thick. Stagnant. Not a light to be seen. If she had to guess, the bottom of a deep, deep cavern, but she hadn't been aware of any near their village. In any case, with how thick the air seemed, she was willing to guess no one had been down here in a very long time.

Forcing herself up, she looked around, attempting to grow accustomed to the dark, see if there was a path, but it was useless. Sighing, she stomped hard on the ground and a pillar of earth raised her up to the ceiling. She briefly touched the ceiling with her hand before the pillar rose her up further into the ground.

Light erupted around her as she broke ground. Buildings far taller than trees, not a sign of wood along their outer walls. The road felt... strange on her feet, and she briefly wondered where her shoes were if they weren't on her feet. A cacophony of sound around her, jarring, dizzying.

Some sort of large metal beast was barreling its way toward her, roaring some foul sound. She yelled out in fear, pushing her hands out in front of her in attempt to stop the beast. The pavement pulled itself up, acting as a shield between her and the metal beast.

hey hey! thank you for the ask!

number 50 is The Entertainment’s Here by AJR

I don’t currently have a ship I associate with this song, and I don't really see it as a shippy song, but let me take a little gander into the song's meaning and see who it makes me think of.

the song is about turning off your brain and coasting through life which inclines me towards a more temporary ship, perhaps something that only lasts because of the place the two characters of the ship are in. although, I'm not in any fandoms currently that have a relationship that serves more as a distraction from troubles (I'm sure I know of one but nothing is coming to mind right now). (it's not so much of a ship as a character, but the sexual relationships we learn about Tony Stark having pre-Pepper Potts do fall in this category)

so I took a deep dive into the lyrics again and resurfaced with the following and an alternative take on the meaning:

and it got me thinking about April/Andy from Parks and Rec. neither of them like being in line with the “grown up” things in life, and when they are together, they can finally be themselves in that regard (i.e. the time they tore through Andy’s bucket list during “The End of the World” in Season 3, ending with a spontaneous cross-country roadtrip to the Grand Canyon)(or the time they bought a spooky, old house in season 7, it's just one example of Andy making her feel relaxed enough in her desires to be her authentic self). the traits that put friction in his and April's relationships with other people aren’t an issue around each other, and it’s heartwarming to watch.

might write a drabble for it later, if inspiration strikes hard enough to imbue a plot into my head and heart and typing fingers

Okay, so gonna talk about the Prologue.

Just as a general with the understanding that I haven't gone through all of the options on this new playthrough.

Katawa Shoujo does a very good job of making sure that you, the player, get individual moments with each of the girls through the Prologue (with the exception of Shizune and Misha, who are a much more integrated pair than the other pairs).

And that's the thing - Katawa Shoujo is built with pairs. Shizune and Misha are a pair. Hanako and Lilly are a pair. Emi and Rin are a pair. And the Prologue sets up these pairs and has Hisao interact with each of them (depending on responses), as well as interacting with each girl on her own (again, with the above exception).

As a player, this is nice. You get to see how the girls act on their own and around friends - they aren't all alone, they're part of a dynamic and a support system - even Hanako. You see how Lilly and Shizune have conflict; you see where Hanako hides; you see how Lilly and Rin react to each other but also that Rin has Emi as a friend who understands her.

Whichever route you're on, it's more than just Hisao and whoever he's dating.

And I love that, actually.

You know, tell undergrad, or even early grad, student me that I would be anything like I am now, and I would have thought you crazy.

I'm no longer human, both bodily and in terms of identification, same with male. I've got a kick ass girlfriend. I'm... actively happy. Holy shit that last one is so damn nice. College already felt like a relief compared to anything that came before. The fact I was THAT deep in the hole is WILD. No way in shit do I want to go back to that.

I guess says something about my tenacity, or maybe stubbornness, that was able to last that long. Thank fuck whatever changed me did, even if I am angry about having no say in that.
