i'm glad in the last one the artist shows not just the plus-sized one being healthy but the thinner one as well. i know it's not the more prevalent issue in society, but i've heard body shaming for people being "too thin" as well, and it can affect someone's mentality just as much.

disclaimer: the background i come from influences my thoughts, words, and actions and by no means are my words here intended to pass judgement. my only intent is to praise the artist for their truly non-judgemental portrayal of this issue.

Really fun to consider pokemon characters owning merch of more high-profile trainers. Gladion has a Piers t-shirt under that hoodie. Nemona owns a poster of Red and Blue used to promote the Alola Battle Tree. Hop owns dozens of Leon trading cards that go for hundreds each with collectors. Cheren still has a Keychain he bought from the Nacrene City Museum gift shop when Lenora was still a gym leader.

Actually thinking about fandom culture in context of the pokemon world is so fun. Shauna has made amvs of characters Diantha has played. Penny religiously read Lillie's "my mom sold me to Champion Cynthia" fics. Bede runs a Galar league discourse blog on Tumblr. Drayton skipping class to read reader x Raihan rpf. There's so much potential here.

The God had been planning this out for weeks now. While he typically didn't partake in the Midgardian celebration of Valentine's Day, he knew that a particular mortal he had been growing fond of had been looking forward to the date. Taking the opportunity to delve further into the traditions and customs of the holiday, he found himself a tad inspired, head swimming in the plethora of cards, candies, decorations, and romantic gestures. He had always been a little... theatrical, even perhaps a bit eccentric, and Steve didn't seem to mind — to which he used that to his advantage.

When the opportunity arose, he slipped away to Midgard, leaving an invitation upon Rogers' bed, requesting to meet at a private location when Valentine's Day arrived, with the words, "I would very much like you to be my Valentine, if you'll have me." Loki had spent time pouring over a love letter to give him, re-reading and re-writing it countless times until he was satisfied with its contents. He conjured up a bouquet of lillies, speckled and shimmering, something unique to Asgard — symbolically, a piece of himself to give to Steve — and placed them in a vase nearby the table they were to dine at. Once he had set up the decor, the God focused on their meal.

When the blond arrived, the table had been set with their main course, the finest Midgardian red wine, grapes, strawberries, and a small heart shaped cake to split for dessert. There were taper and vanilla-scented candles, wine glasses, a small teddy bear with a heart, and a few floral pieces for decoration. Soft music played, a mix of love songs from the past few decades offering a calm and sweet ambiance. The letter he had written for him was propped against the bouquet he had placed off to the side.

The trickster wore an ebony suit, tailor made and befitting of the atmosphere he had painted. Part of him felt a bit nervous, as though he might reject the affectionate display. However, the evening went off without a hitch and the two of them found themselves sharing stories, laughter, and a good meal. Once dessert had been finished, Loki knew it was now or never.

Moving a bit closer, his hand found its way to his lower back in a tender gesture, drawing Steve's attention to him. A small smile formed on his face, a subtle glimmer of hope dancing in Loki's demeanor as he observed the mortal before him. Leaning forward so that they were mere inches apart, he hesitated, giving the blond a moment to pull away if he so wished to. But, when he stayed still, the God gradually closed the distance and captured his lips in a tentative but decided kiss, his other hand lifting to cup his cheek.

His heart swelled with affection for the man beneath his touch, a rare warmth stirring in his chest. After a long moment, they broke away from one another. "I've been thinking lately," he began a bit softer than usual, his voice low and charming. "There are a lot of Midgardians, although none quite like yourself. I find myself enjoying our time together, and..." Loki paused, his eyes flickering over the soldier's expression before he continued, "I think that there may be something more here than mere cordial company."

"Aww, I just had my car fixed." Vert grumbles as he fixes underneath his Saber. He figures since this area is empty, and wearing his causal clothes, he has time to fix it without distractions. {testing him}

A light humming was heard with someone walking by the area. Though, during a walk in the woods was always nice. He was not expecting to see someone near the road. "Hmmm?" Getting a better look, he was seeing someone's car broke down. He goes to see if they were alright.

"Excuse me my friend, car trouble?" he asked.

This is what I was trying to make —

I have made a golden dagger forged with grave dirt, set with my joys, embedded with a seasick-looking turquoise. It has a carved wooden hilt with a golden chain wrapped, partially melted, around it, infused into the material like it's part of the same. It shines but only as a reflection; it's not perfect, but I don't know what's missing, it does only most what what I intended it to do. I wanted a dagger that puts my mind at ease and pushes me forth with joy and confidence, but it feels more like a cover up than a true connection to the soul. When I break contact from it, it's like I came back to my real self, and the me who wields it isa separate entity altogether. I believe in perfection, and this is not it; anything manmade cannot be perfect (and that's okay).

This is what I actually made —

a ring

you’ve made the band simple and beautiful, and inlaid just the details needed to make it special. not too gaudy, not too plain. it’s a ring meant to last forever, meant to be worn forever; when you put it on someone, it wraps around their finger perfectly, delights them. you’ve tried to make it something that people will keep. you needn’t have worried: no matter who you put it on, with time, it starts to wrap tighter around their finger. starts to cling. starts to constrict. you can’t take it off of them, when they beg you to get them free; their skin starts to redden, to bruise, to go black. the only time they manage to get it off is when the finger goes with it. as a sign of devotion, it leaves a strong impression. nobody that you pledge yourself to leaves without a mark.

An enforcer for the Team Skull gang, acts as an aggressor for Guzma when necessary, though he has little to no warmth for the other members, and it is mutual.

Fiercely protective of his little sister, to a self-destructive point.

He hates outer space. No, the kid absolutely hates it. Don't talk to him about it. Don't show him anything from it. It's ruined his life. He hates it here.

Has been taking up mechanical work as a hobby, has learned how to hotwire cars while hanging around Skull.

This kid can hold so much angst.

Did not inherit much, if any, Ultra Human abilities from Lusamine, aside from keen senses, and perhaps abnormal physical strength for a 14 year old.

Has he said how much he hates outer space?

Okay, so gonna talk about the Prologue.

Just as a general with the understanding that I haven't gone through all of the options on this new playthrough.

Katawa Shoujo does a very good job of making sure that you, the player, get individual moments with each of the girls through the Prologue (with the exception of Shizune and Misha, who are a much more integrated pair than the other pairs).

And that's the thing - Katawa Shoujo is built with pairs. Shizune and Misha are a pair. Hanako and Lilly are a pair. Emi and Rin are a pair. And the Prologue sets up these pairs and has Hisao interact with each of them (depending on responses), as well as interacting with each girl on her own (again, with the above exception).

As a player, this is nice. You get to see how the girls act on their own and around friends - they aren't all alone, they're part of a dynamic and a support system - even Hanako. You see how Lilly and Shizune have conflict; you see where Hanako hides; you see how Lilly and Rin react to each other but also that Rin has Emi as a friend who understands her.

Whichever route you're on, it's more than just Hisao and whoever he's dating.

And I love that, actually.

[Emergency Meeting] Captured

Lauren flew over and joined by the Lorekeeper’s side as Rainbow Rocket Lillie backed up to the dead center. Zinnia handed Lauren the phone. “I cracked it a little, but the Rotom inside should be fine.”

Lauren nodded and pocketed it. “I’ll get to the bottom of this.”

Lillie hissed. “Give my Rotom Phone back, or else you’ll be sorry!”

“Hm?” Lauren blinked. “Oh? You want it back? Sure.” Lauren took the phone out and tapped the cracked phone screen once or twice… allowing the Rotom inside to break free! “I’ll be keeping the data, though.” Lauren pocketed the base phone once again.

The Rotom quickly fled to Lillie’s side who held it together. Lillie, now bested once again, snarled as she finally addressed the two girls that came up from the elevator. “You…” Lillie pointed at Zinnia. “You’ll regret surviving that day, Zinnia…”

Zinnia laughed. “The only thing I’ll regret is losing my humanity, Lillie. Because of you, I had to give away my mortality… my right to grow old and live like a normal girl. For that, I’m going to kick your ass so hard that you’d wish that you could give me yours!”

Lillie reached in her bag and took out two Poké Balls. “Then prepare for trouble, and make it double!”

Zinnia didn’t take out a Poké Ball. Instead, she transformed herself!

Zinnia transformed into a Rayquaza!

Leaf squinted as took out a Poké Ball; however, from the statement that she heard, something was compelling her to continue the statement. “...to protect the world from devastation.”

“…!” Lillie hesitated as she started to pay more attention to Leaf now. Was that…? “...to unite all peoples within our nation.”

“To denounce the evils of truth and love--”

“To extend our reach to the stars above.”

“Leaf!”

“Lillie!”

Leaf flinched as she initially refused to continue, but one look at Lillie showed her that it was already far too late. So, instead, she shouted and spun the next line.

“WHEN I’M DONE, TEAM ROCKET IS GONNA BLAST OFF AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT!”

Lillie laughed as she sent out Shadow Clefable and Shadow Ninetales. “Then surrender now, or prepare to fight!”

Everyone paused as all eyes were suddenly on Lillie. Even Zinnia transformed back to her human form to take in everything that happened there. Initially, there was a tense silence throughout the Altar. After all, what could anyone say after just witnessing Leaf just piggyback this motto with this imposter Lillie. How did Leaf of all people know about this? Was there something more that no one else was picking up?

“So… you’re that Leaf.” Lillie recalled both of her Pokémon. “I’ve seen enough. My boss, Blue, will be please to hear about this alone.”

Zinnia blinked. “Blue? Like, the Gym Leader?”

Lillie snapped at Zinnia. “N—no, you dragon-for-brains! His name is GREEN! Blue is my fucking boss!”

Hearing a version of Lillie curse made almost everyone in the room flinch. That… was not something any of them were expecting. Even Heidi choked for a moment.

Lillie groaned. “Be lucky Green’s a sensitive subject for my boss or else you’d be hearing from her for that slight.” She rolled her eyes. “Ugh, anyway, Rotom….”

Rotom nodded and disappeared while it had the chance. Blue needed to know.

With that handled, Lillie set down her bag, sat on the ground, and offered her arms. “My job here is done, so now you may arrest me. If you wish to extract any information that’s useful, well... let us say that you’ll have a far harder time at that.”

Everyone started looking at each other. Here Zinnia was, preparing for a fight against some Shadow Pokémon, but now this girl is turning herself in. Not to mention, where did the Rotom go? It didn’t look like anyone bothered to track that, either. Talk about a bummer.

Heidi walked over to the imposter Lillie and helped her up. “Then, I’ll be taking the rest of your Poké Balls and you’ll be coming with me.”

Lillie rolled her eyes. She then returned both of her Pokémon, stored them in her bag, and shoved the whole bag at Heidi. “Take the whole thing, Arceus. I'm sure you'd be confiscating my bag, anyway.”

Heidi blinked. She accepted the bag. “...I’ll make sure you’re safe, at least.” Heidi took out her portal gun and shot a portal. “Let’s go.”

Lillie nodded and started walking to the portal; however, just before she entered it, she smirked and turned to Leaf.

“I’ll be looking forward to how things turn out, Leaf. The boss will want to see you eventually~”

Lilile turned back around and walked thought the portal. Heidi, Melony, Aegir, and Tor all followed her.
