I've been playing Skyrim with a ton of immersion mods on, and doing a playthrough as Eriador Lampwick, Bosmer Vigilant of Stendarr, originally born in Wayrest.

Playing as a Wood Elf Vigilant of Stendarr in Skyrim has led to a rather fascinating roleplaying experience

I encountered Barbas, the dog with a Yiddish accent, outside Falkreath. And now my hatred of the Daedra is conflicting deeply with my inherent love of talking animals. I've already had other Vigilants turn on me because I assaulted Thalmor agents on the road anyway. My loyalty has been tested and worn thin. Am I evil? Am I too reckless? Am I truly walking in the light of Stendarr? All I know... is this puppy is very silly and it would be barbaric to do my supposed duty here.

The fact that I can do this quest and still technically adhere to the ideals of the Vigil is just gravy

Okay for type specialties I super like the idea of ghost but I will also offer up bug as a flip to Drayton's favorite type in my other aus and as a little hint to how Ghetsis really sees Sylas. Also no specific pokemon come to mind but you know how Ghetsis has a counter for all of N's pokemon. He totally only lets Sylas have pokemon he had a hard counter to or at least don't hold up against steel-types.

Amarys's uniform is supposed to be like a higher ranking but non-sage Plasma outfit if you'd want to give Sylas something similar? Helps convince Sylas he's important.

Yeah for Amarys and Sylas while Amarys doesn't get to properly talk to Sylas when she's visiting with Colress, nobody has told her she isn't allowed to never talk to him. Just not go into the dragon's chamber. Also 100% in on the QPR post Team Plasma when they both have like actual support systems and stuff. Despite everything they still feel like outsiders among these people who fought against Team Plasma since day one and understand each other the best. God I need to think about Emmet Iris Drayton and Sylas in this au for 3 million years. And also figure out a name for Drayton I cursed myself again with the agony of having to rename her after it gave me so much trouble the first time.

OH and almost forgot I love Swansea amd Daisuke-core Kyurem and Sylas. But like worse

Okay I need more time to *fully* conceptualize it but some more revised details on Sylas.

Sylas works for Team Plasma as one of the higher ranked. Think like.. bottom tier of the high ranks (so maybe a top grunt or something idk how it works). He thinks he’s really important cause he’s the ‘Dragon Keeper’ but in reality by the time anyone would make it to the chamber the dragon (and technically Sylas as well) is held in, security measures are up and someone or something is being sent down to kill the intruder. Sylas is essentially just the stalling for the intruder, but he thinks he’s the last defense.

He thinks that his family is still alive and that pushes a lot of his actions. He keeps a photo on hand that was given to him to remind him that his family is ‘alive’ (they were slaughtered after the photo was taken) and looks at it quite often.

Sylas is a major victim of emotional manipulation and likely abuse too. He’s kept in the dragon’s cell at all times and does not get to leave unless it’s for his very short bathroom breaks or his weekly showers. Sylas is like a lab rat in this situation. He has a shock collar on and has cameras all around the cell mostly to monitor him rather than the dragon. Colress often watches Sylas pacing around and talking to himself/the dragon because Sylas has just absolutely lost his mind.

While I said in the last post he had Datura, I think imma give him another team. I’m not sure what, but I wanna make him a specialty and give him a mega. Specialties I’m not giving him are: Dragon, Dark, Steel. Just cause it’s too redundant with his character or others in Team Plasma. I’ve considered psychic or ghost, or even normal (personally for those he’d get Mega Sableye, Slowbro/Medicham, or Lopunny) [Suggestions are very welcome or which to pick. Personally I think Slowbro or Lopunny would work really well with his personality.]

His appearance has definitely changed. He wears a special Team Plasma outfit but I haven’t decided what exactly. His hair is a lot longer, dragging behind him slightly if down but typically in a braid (almost Rapunzel/Tangled kinda long, get the reference, trapped in a place because they assume it’s for a good reason), his eyes are wide and crazed and he shows off his fangs a lot.

Sylas and Amarys have like a secret connection. They aren’t allowed to openly see one another because the higher ups assume that Amarys will tell him the truth and he’ll snap, but Colress thinks the connection between the two is interesting and lets them communicate even though it’s obvious to him that they are. Sylas is wary of her at first but soon the two are like leaning on walls opposite of each other and chatting through a vent. It kinda helps Sylas become less insane. [Ive considered maybe a QPR between them.. idk yet though. I headcanon Amarys as grayromantic and Sylas is aroace so]

He also talks a lot more like Emmet and exaggerates his words!!

Anyways yeah! Down for more ideas + add ons now that I’ve had more time to think about it.

assorted cute l'il christmas headcanons for a much needed palette cleanse :

DEMONA actually doesn't despise the holidays as much as one might think. There's a certain comfort in the traditions and rituals, the songs that have remained so unchanged over the decades. There is also that piece of her soul that yearns for community, and views the holiday as being yet another reminder of that which she cannot have, which leaves a sour taste.

FOX was never much of a Christmas girl growing up. One of the few holidays she would spend with her family during her years in boarding schools, it became a requirement, an expectation. Best behavior only. As an adult, she indulges in Christmas to her heart's content, not needing to keep everything prim and proper and perfect. She loves the lights, and there's few places she frequents that aren't decorated. As for the gifts... well, perhaps she's gotten a touch carried away. Sue her.

The Boiling Isles don't have Christmas per se, but Belos had put forth a winter festival of sorts. No doubt in an effort to connect to his human roots. EDA hates the dark and cold that comes with winter, so the festival is a welcome break from all of that. These days, she hosts : she loves having everyone back in the Owl House, where something is always bubbling away in her cauldron and filling the house with sweet, warm scents. AMITY manages to sneak away from family holiday time with her mother to hang out at the Owl House, dragging the twins ( and, eventually, Alador ) along with her.

TWYLA loves the winter holidays! It's one of the few times her dad stops travelling for work in order to spend time with her, and is one of the only holidays she actually goes home for. She and her dad cook a huge meal for them and any neighbors who want to come by, usually other boogeymonsters and spectres. Her favorite part is the Epiphany cake, and finding out who got the fève.

OKAY NO ACTUALLY I WON'T STAND FOR THIS. COLRESS DESERVES THIS WIN.

I really do respect what Giovanni did as the original. Initially, Giovanni did exactly what he was supposed to do incredibly well. He was an evil, one-note villain who didn't need a world-destroying scheme to be evil or threatening, and I think that's what really makes him effective, but it has been nearly thirty years and even though he set the standard does not mean he maintained it.

Every single thing they have tried to add to Giovanni's story with the excpetion of Silver has been actively detrimental to him. Giovanni works best when he is simple and doing stuff like having him battle with Mewtwo or lead Team Rainbow Rocket pulls him away from what made him good and has him teetering dangerously into Lysandre territory.

Colress doesn't have being low-concept weighing him down. He's the antagonist of the most ambitious mainline pokemon game and he shines for it. Unlike Team Rocket, the prescence of Team Neo Plasma is felt throughout the entire game and can't be effectively removed from the story. The trauma the main rival, Hugh, has from them is crucial to his character. Colress was an active threat not just to the protagonist but to the gym leaders, managing to steal the DNA Splicers from Drayden. Colress is the only evil team leader who actually managed to control a legendary pokemon for more than three seconds, and he used its power to attack the hometown of the reigning champion on a giant flying pirate ship. Colress simply cannot be topped.

Colress may have given up the whole evil-doing thing and taken a hike from his home region after being defeated by the protagonist, but so did Giovanni! Even if Giovanni had aged better I would be gunning for Colress, but he hasn't, so it really isn't even a contest. Colress ALWAYS solos Giovanni and that's that on that!!

Best Pokémon Villains Tournament- Individuals Bracket- Round 3: Match 9

As we head into the second half of Round 3, matches between heavy hitters aren't letting up!

Colress has won both of his matches with vote shares of over 70%, and both matches were some of the most voted on in each of Round too! he's had strong support from the voters, but how does he fair against the original villain himself?

Everything said about Colress? Also applies to Rocket Boss Giovanni! He's been making it clear that just because he's an early villain, doesn't make him past his prime! But Colress may be the first to be able to give him a run for his money, so he'll have to put up a fight!

I still have no idea why fandom culture, and especially fanfic, passed me by. I went to my first con when I was 12. I've run green rooms. I should be all over it, but I'm just...not.

I passionately love books and movies and shows, but no matter what, I end up writing my own little things instead. Sometimes there are bits and pieces and inspirations from things I love in my work, but I've never really tried to set up my own stories in other people's worlds.

The exception is when a story makes me mad. When I get spun up about how some worldbuilding doesn't work or how some idea seems wasted, then I'll get into what could have been fanfic, but always spins off far enough to end up being my own thing.

I've got a backburnered cyberpunk WIP. It takes place in a future US that's no longer a world power, outside and inside an arcology. Some things in the world have gotten better, some have gotten worse. People can attend virtual school, which was theoretically designed to erase class differences between students, but it's not like kids haven't found countless ways to draw those lines between themselves anyway. The MC lives outside the arcology, and her dearest goal in life is to become a teacher so she can get a coveted place living comfortably inside the arcology. She doesn't know how crap life can be if you work in maintenance and live in the cramped maintenance levels, and she and her BFF, who's an agoraphobic kid who won't leave her bedroom in the arcology, accidentally uncover a terrorist plot to plant a bomb in the arcology and frame the maintenance worker's union in an attempt to both destroy the union and push through new legislation that would allow the corporate owners of the arcology to essentially turn all of the maintenance workers into indentured servants.

That story started while I was complaining about Ready Player One.

The underpinning for Magic School Dropouts is probably immediately obvious. Around 17 years ago, the MC and her BFF managed to escape the creepy magic school they'd joined. The MC's family had moved without telling her while she was in the boarding school, so she had to figure out how to live her life while fleeing the magic police who would track her down for what she'd done at the school. She and her BFF separated, and now she's gotten a message from her BFF's sister: her BFF was pregnant when they escaped from the school, and she died shortly after she had her daughter, who her older sister raised. Her older sister knew nothing about what happened to them in the school, so she didn't see anything wrong with sending her niece to the school. Except now she's gotten cryptic messages from her niece indicating she needs help. The MC is the only person the sister knows who went to the school and can maybe help, and while trying to figure out what to do, the MC learns there's a whole thriving magical culture that has nothing to do with the isolated school that preys on children born into normal families who don't know better.

And yeah, that came from many, many discussions about Harry Potter. Most of them before Rowling let the mask drop.

The Tom Cruise Mummy remake had me on a path toward some kind of story, but there were problematic elements I never managed to iron out enough to get a good plot together.

I guess when it comes down to it, when I love something, I'm happy to love it and enjoy what I've gotten from the original makers, and when I get mad about something, I go spinning off too far into the ether to write fanfic.

OK YAY ADDING TO THIS

-So again the BB portion of this au at least is incredibly self-indulgent already I absolutely do not mind warping canon a bit to fit as much of this as I can. And like aus of aus exist whatever. We're just playing w our toys rn

-the one big thing with this is that like Drayton kind of sucks in this au. She would absolutely not be doing any rescuing unless maybe (0.0001% chance) she ran into Sylas by accident. If she even remembers who Sylas she was pretty young when Team Plasma took over.

-Again I am SUPER cool with anybody taking my ideas and running with them though so if you want your own slightly more divorced from this version au where she would do that go crazy. High-stakes team plasma rescue missions are definitely more of Iris's thing for what I've personally got going, though.

-I totally just assumed Sylas would still be with his dad holy shit Emmet is going THROUGH it in this au.

So.. that Bad End AU that @pokemonblack3white3 made huh?

Well Sylas would definitely be alive within it but I wanted to specify some details about him in my idea of how he would fit into the AU

[Keep in mind this is following the canon line he has made for the AU so far, if he ever posts more it likely won’t work with this cause this is pretty self indulgent.]

Anyways-

Contrary to popular belief, Ghetsis is not opposed to emotionally manipulating another child. Even one that isn’t his.

So Sylas was actually caught right near the beginning of Team Plasma’s reign and taken into their containment chambers. Team Plasma was planning to kill him, but Ghetsis decided that it’d be easier to manipulate this kid.

Pulling a few strings and laying down a plan, they took a picture of Sylas’ family in the containment chambers and gave him a ‘decision’ to make. Either he join team plasma or his family dies.

Since his family means so much to him, he joined team plasma and works to watch over the original dragon in its cage.

Here’s some things though!

-He let his hair down (and let it grow into a braid) and is part of the higher ups in the team. He is still clueless, carrying a picture of his family in cages not knowing they were killed already.

-Datura was forced to evolve into a Scolipede to be a stronger defender. The original dragon does *not* like him.

-He spends most of his time isolated in the dragons chamber and every so often gets some praise from Colress or Ghetsis for ‘doing well’ (it’s really to keep him manipulated).

-He has a shock collar (weird, but it’s Team Plasma) and it kinda symbolizes his warped ideals [that he is doing this for his family] hurting him more and more. The electricity stands for Zekrom and ideals and you know.

-Sylas doesn’t know anything about the rebellion and assumes that everyone is just working under team plasma. He’s kinda crazy from being manipulated and so alone so it’s hard to reach him.

-He knows who Amarys is but the two never get to talk. The higher ups believe Amarys will tell Sylas something that will break him.

So far I’ve had an idea that one of the others, presuming it’s Drayton, attempts to break the dragon free and is met with Sylas. Sylas doesn’t attack Pokémon anymore (I mean, what’s the use if no one really has any?) so he immediately goes to attack Drayton directly. In the end the dragon is released and Drayton attempts to break Sylas free cause he is having a MELTDOWN at the fear of punishment from failing his job. The split in truth verses ideals splits the original dragon and Sylas teams with Zekrom and Drayton with Reshiram. In the end I haven’t decided but either Sylas snaps out of it and is brought out into the rebellion (although there is a lot of hesitance from the others in the group) or Kyurem just.. kills him off then and there with an ice shard and chaos ensues.

So yeah! Finally an AU where I can make my boy suffer even more

Katelya Esterhazy Headcannons!

One of her most unique features would be her captivating gray eyes, most likely inherited from her father's side of the family. It's one of the first things people comment on when meeting her for the first time

She has multiple nicknames depending on how close you are to her. People closer to her usually call her Telya instead of her full name (or Lya, but that's reserved for her father). However, she hates being called Kat (or any variation involving Kat/Kate) because it reminds her of her late mother calling her "my charming cat"

One of her favorite dishes her mother used to make for her was Tahchin, it always made her feel better especially when she was feeling sick

She likes wearing her hair half-up or half-down most, but she and her close friend Lily like experimenting with her hair when there is a new trend going around

She is actually pretty competitive, but she likes to pretend like she isn't. Her loved ones find this particularly funny because it's amusing to see her riled up

She's an introvert but is more extroverted around other introverts OR during short periods of time when she has a burst of energy

Reading and writing (especially poetry as she's a poet at heart) alone help her recharge her social battery

People tend to love being around her. But do people even...like her? Even though she was somewhat of a rowdy/bratty child (Child of Lilith route) she did her best to stay well-behaved and calm, at least in public for her parents' because like her father always says, a woman's reputation is so fragile it is easily shattered. But it was always more difficult for Telya to make close friends because she hated being vulnerable and being given pity

She always hated the way her aunt would talk about her mother as if she were a stranger and not her in-law. It was deeply upsetting so she was glad when her father cut off all ties with her

I know Stoker wrote Dracula in the late 1800s but in my head, Katelya wrote Dracula after the Vamyprus Novus Finale, along with other works of gothic fiction (dark morbid works in general with a bit of romance)

I imagine her discography to be a mix of Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson. She didn't become famous immediately, though, since it took a lot of convincing to share her personal work with the public. It wouldn't be correct to say she's shy, but she is very protective of her work and you would have had to be extremely close for her to share it with you

Her mother was a painter and a beautiful singer, and her paintings still line the hall of the Esterhazy home to this day. Telya's father couldn't bring it upon himself to remove them. She even helped make some of the paintings with her mother and they are highly coveted

Her mother used to sing her lullabies to go to sleep when she was younger. Sometimes when she can't sleep, she hums herself to sleep, ignoring the gaping absence she feels without her mother's presence

When she's in the mood to write (or even paint when she's experiencing a creative block) she always asks her maid for a cup of tea and a small tray of snacks before locking herself in her room and working for hours

She is very precise and organized when writing but has a messier workspace when she dabbles in sketching or painting

She bundles her collection of poems by theme and dates, again she is very methodical. Her hope is to store her pieces away to pass down to her loved ones later on in life

I don't know who her LI will be yet, but in my interconnected universe, she only has one son whom she loves dearly. When he was a baby, she would read her poetry to help him fall asleep :)

Been giving Kieran a lot of Ls in theoretical matchups recently I'm coming out to say I do believe in my son I promise. Post-canon Kieran takes the win against almost every character in the pokemon cast in a double battle including Bede and. Okay maybe not nemona but im of the personal opinion that if you gave nemona like a week she could beat Cynthia she's simply a different beast.
