Chicago Photo Dump: Wow, what a week!! I’m still recovering. It was pretty surreal getting to play at the 25th Annual @jeffbuckleymusic tribute at @uncommongroundchi with so many incredible artists. It was an honor to share the stage with you all, and this trip is a memory I will hold dear forever. I’m grateful for the new friendships, and for Jeff’s music, which continues to inspire and bring people together even after a quarter of a century. Rượu tử đinh hương tôi chưa bao giờ nếm qua, thậm chí tôi còn không biết nó có màu gì. Nhưng khi nghe bài hát này, dường như tôi lại cảm thấy chếng choáng say giống như tác giả, cả tâm hồn tôi đã nhập vào cùng bài hát. Tôi có thể hình dung ra bản thân tôi lạc lối trên những con đường mòn ở khu rừng trong đêm đen tĩnh mịch. Tôi say. Bất chợt tôi nhìn thấy, hay chỉ là tưởng tượng, một ánh sáng mờ ảo, nó làm tôi cảm thấy hiếu kì. Tôi đến gần và phát hiện ra ánh sáng đó là từ những chùm hoa tím rực trên cây tử đinh hương.

Rồi tôi nhớ đến tác giả, có lẽ anh ta sáng tác ca khúc này khi đang gặp trắc trở trong chuyện tình cảm. Tình yêu của anh ta có lẽ không có một kết cục tốt đẹp. Bởi vậy, anh ta đành đắm mình vào những ly rượu tử đinh hương, nó làm anh ta chếnh choáng, làm anh ta say...

"Tôi sẽ uống nhiều hơn mức bình thường

Vì điều đó sẽ mang tôi trở về bên em..."

Khi uống say, con người ta thường nhìn mọi thứ lúc mơ lúc thực, hư hư ảo ảo, như gần như xa, tưởng như ở ngay trước mắt, nhưng thực chất lại xa cách muôn trùng. Tác giả vì uống quá nhiều nên đã cảm thấy bản thân mình như lạc vào một khu rừng tối tăm, u tịch, không lối thoát. Anh ta quay cuồng, đôi lúc anh ta như nhìn thấy người mình yêu đang hiện hữu ở ngay trước mắt, nhưng khi nhắm mắt lại và mở mắt ra, anh ta mới vỡ lẽ rằng tất cả chỉ là do anh ta tưởng tượng: "À, thì ra là tôi đang say."
