horrendous epiphany under the cut

ok so i was watching shark tale for the first time in a while and theyre in new york city (or the fish equivalent of it) right?? we only see 00s new york but what if it was 70s new york? considering how mentally ill i am about nyc punk of the time it struck me that since there are fish versions of celebrities in the movie doesn't that mean punk rock historical figures realistically had a fish equivalent?????

anyway i was planning an rpf sort of thing with nyc punk anyway (i literally had no idea where to start with the premise though, i only had character concepts) and after i was struck with this HORRENDOUS vision, i decided that it would be really funny and get myself to pust past my moral issues with rpf if i made it ALSO a shark tale fanfic 😭😭😭😭

if you're wondering what fish they are:

lou reed = driftfish

john cale = jellyfish (yes i know that canonically the jellyfish are rastafarians but you gotta understand, driftfish usually associate with jellyfish and i thought it was cool)

nico = angelfish

warhol = lionfish (invasive, venomous, poisonous....and totally snazzy pattern-wise.)
