Maybe it's because I get way too immersed/empathetic when reading, but I feel way more sad about Eiden's loss than I probably should be.

Like, obviously, losing doesn't feel good. Nobody likes failure. And since Eiden is the protag, we're all sorta on his side by default.

I guess I boils down to what I said earlier; in comparison to the clan members, Eiden really is the odd one out. He doesn't even come close to their power; and even when he was trying his hardest in this competition, the odds were so insurmountable, there was no way he could ever win.

Splendorman headcannons; catchup edition

General hcs plus some of the prompts that I did for multiple characters!! Idk how this is gonna look but we'll see (I tend to write these notes before writing the actual... post..) so!! Yeah!! I've been meaning to expand the base list of characters I do for hc posts; esp since it's so small and I dont feel comfy writing romantic stuff for a lot of the popular characters in this fandom <\3

Anyways! I'll have this split off into like. Segments. One for basic hcs, and different areas for prompts I did in the past (ex. Pet names, plushie stuff, ect!!)

To be fair, I'm still fleshing out how I want to interpret Splendor, and how I want to write him into my au

Obviously he's going to be related to Slenderman; as well as Trenderman (whether or not I add trender to this blog isnt decided yet, since I feel like not many people would be interested)

Said bells are also semi sentient; they still bend to his will most the time but sometimes they can snip at people... lil bites n stuff; like you know how bells usually have those lil.. gaps? In them? Idk what they're called but the X shaped things on them; that's the "mouth" for each bell

Actually unlike slenderman, you can actually see splendorman walk around, whereas slenderman just. You blink and he's moved.

Gives the absolute best hugs; also does the thing LJ does, and snakes his arms all up around you

Adding onto the idea that splendor is basically itward/scp 999, he basically shows up for people who need company, or need their spirits raised

Torn between giving him an actual face, or making it a blank face line slenderman where the smiley face is just markings; if he does have a face I'm also torn on whether to give him a perma smile or not

If you want to spend time outside, he will pull something together. Gardening, picnics, stuff like that! Unfortunately, since hes still considered... a monster, he needs to remain out of sight, so walking out in broad daylight is a no go for him, unless the area is isolated - so that does make things a little limited in terms of time and location :(

But if you want to spend time indoors, he's more than happy to stay!

Baking, arts and crafts, ect ect! If it's something fun that at least two people can do together, its an option!

I feel like he would have lots of fun reenacting things with you; like dramatic retellings of your favorite books or movies or whatever

Ideal Partner;

Like most the other characters in the other post I made on thing, he doesn't have many preferences when it comes to partners: both in regards to personality and looks

Looks really mean nothing to him, you could be tall or short, fat or skinny or buff, guy or gal or anything else, and he wouldn't care so long as you're you

Personality? As long as you aren't a bully or otherwise cruel, he can love you with his whole being

That's really it, Splendorman isn't very picky

Just don't be a jerk and you're set

Though he will be thrilled if you share the same energy as him; though it's not required

Perfect date;

I covered a lot of things in the downtime section, so this spot isn't going to be too long, as to avoid me just repeating the same thing reworded

But this dude has a list of ideas as long as he is tall; he is not picky!

He doesn't really have a "perfect" or "ideal" date, as he's down for anything and everything

Well almost

Anything that puts ANYONE in danger in an immediate and hard no, same goes for if it puts anyone in emotional or physical distress

Otherwise anything else is possible! He's free to let you pick and take the lead; however he'll hardly mask his excitement if you tease the idea of doing something he very much enjoys/wants to do

It's kinda like watching a dog get excited after mentioning a treat or a walk

Romantic hcs;

Writing this first before I have the chance to forget: but when hes about to leave, he'll kiss you.... and when he turns around to leave, he'll let the lil bell monster things on his tentacles kiss you all over the face as a extra bit of affection

Now onto how I wanted this segment to start

S tier partner, out of the (creepypasta) characters that I have written for thus far, at least in my opinion

Great listener and willing to give advice, amazing comforter, and generally adds an air of excitement to life while also keeping things stable

Moving on

He gives the best hugs, as mentioned in the segment above, his can snake his arms around you in a similar fashion that LJ does

Speaking of that segment, depending on how you see his face working kisses can go multiple ways

If he does have a face, kisses go as expected; but if he has a perma smile it can get awkward since his face is constantly pulled into that large grin

But if its the "the smiley face is a group of markings" route, he can't really... kiss you.. at least not in the traditional sense

He'd approach it the same way slenderman does and imitates the act by gently nuzzling/knocking his lower face against you

He loves quick little pecks; on the cheek, forehead, and mouth, nose, loves it all

Always gives you flowers; usually defaults to sunflowers and daisies but if you have any particular favorites he'll provide it

Likes using that hat trick of his to present gifts

Takes off his hat, puts his hand in it, and BOOM ! He pulls out a bouquet of flowers for you

If you get sick he'll be a mother hen and fret over you; won't back off until you're back at full health, and even then he'll hover over you for a few days afterwards just in case

So I left a couple things out: drabbles from LDWS, because they feel qualitiatively different as a style, and one of my fave fics of mine, Crime & Punishment, solely because the opening is a recitation of Draco's crimes in transcript form and it's a lot and played with medium. Innocent Monsters was, by that counting, number 11! That's wild, it doesn't feel like I post that much, but it's been 2.5 years since I posted that lil guy.

They're a bit all over the place, but I think the unifying theme here is I usually am trying to establish character/relatability pretty quickly. Relatability and character aren't precisely separate: Hermione is trying not to commit murder, I mean, who hasn't, right? Hermione's at her wit's end. Dying of awkwardness. It strikes the tone and the character's mood while revealing a bit about them.

But, as you move up the list to my two most recent - these are a bit different. I know, as a writer, that I was trying to evoke something of Peter and his betrayal with, 'it didn't happen all at once.' In that sense, it's on brand. And it's Peter's conversational tone I keep throughout.

OaYO reflects its genre - action! - in the prologue. In the opener of Chapter One - a bit of an insistence that, at least from Reg's POV, he really thought he died. (and he did, not a spoiler, it's on the tin of the fic), but it confirms that Regulus thinks so too. It also, I hope, hints at the confusion/disorientation of his return.

Currently they all curse and are responsible about who they curse in front of. I think at first Grusha was a lil more loose with cursing but Angel didnt like him cursing in front of Cole so maybe he got a little scolding. Hydie might sometimes forget but hes not scolded for it, just reminded to not do that

I got no clue how to answer this one but I do want to say I dont think there was an all knowing moment I think they are just happy together and make life joyful for the other and inspire the other to be better and grow and thats enough

I think Angel always wanted a baby, but didn't know how Grusha felt so he never brought it up + they're already raising their little siblings so it felt like a tricky subject. So, he's pretty happily surprised when Grusha actually does bring up that he wants to be a dad. Also important to me cause shows a lot of healing in Grusha too...

I feel like they both kinda bring it up but in different ways ? Hydie is more subtle and points out lots of baby things in stores or mentions the families around them etc etc Leon eventually is the one to actually ask about it

11. Who's adorable when they're sleepy, and who gets grumpy and irritable

I dont like how this question is worded i dont think any of them are adorable per say

I think if anything Angel can be a little silly tired, but he's usually just groggy and zones out a lot. Grusha seems like he would be either cranky or really sad when he's tired.

Hydie might either be a tad snappy or very spacey depending. Leon i think doesn't change much I think he is good at hiding when he is very tired minus the several yawns.

12. Who's more protective

Grusha lala... i think he gets overly worried at times. Angel cares too but I think Grusha's experiences made him prone to really worry about the safety of those he cares about. He usually sends one of his Pokemon with Angel whenever he heads down the mountain just for that extra security. Keeps Angel safer but also so Grusha doesn't have to worry...as much.

Both Leon and Hydie are super protective of the other haha... I think they are both willing to sacrifice themselves for the other. Leon feels he has to do things on his own to protect Hydie though, but Hydie isn't having any of that lol. Hydie is very much a uses his body to shield Leon kinda guy, either very apparently (jumping in front of him when there's an angry Pokemon) or not so much (walking so he's between the street and Leon).

13. How do they express their feelings

Angel and Grusha both like to make the other laugh to express their love... they tease each other a lot too. Whenever they get time for just the two of them they enjoy every moment, and even if family is there they still do little things to feel closer. They are almost always holding the others hand when they're out and about on errands lala.

At home they show care and love a lot too by taking care of each other the best they can. Like i juuust said Grusha often has one of his pokemon go with angel when he goes off to work on art to make sure he stays safe. Angel makes sure Grusha eats well and always has a dish he likes at meals. When Grusha moves in, Angel invests in a lot of small things to make Grusha's life easier since he's disabled.

They get each other promise rings too when Grusha moves in...i dont wanna write it all out rn but felt like an important bit about how they express love.

Hydie and Leon just love to have fun together, making the other smile just makes them feel very loved I think.

They take the time to listen to each other and even dabble in the others interests as a way to get to know them better and feel more connected. Leon takes up gardening for Hydie so they can work on their garden together, meanwhile Hydie learns more about Pokemon battling so he can battle with and against Leon. He's not very good but I'm sure they make for a very annoying double battle with Leon's heavy hits and Hydie's status effects.

They do spend lots of time together though, pick each other up from work if they're able, go on evening walks, etc etc. I think they are just casually very lovely dovey haha. You can feel the lil hearts around them when they are together.

14. Where would they go on a 3 am adventure

Angel and Grusha live on Glaseado mountain and its always snowing so I think a 3 am adventure might be dangerous for them. If anything they might go to the convenience store, they don't want to leave home too long since their lil brothers also live there and might need them.

Hydie and Leon might go just about anywhere lmao. They might be out camping, or walking in the empty streets and looking at the stars. Maybe at the park on the swings and just laughing and playing. I think its nice for Leon to be out like that and not worry about being flooded by people...even if the two are sleepy the next day its worth it.

17. Who picks flowers for the other

Grusha would pick flowers for Angel I think if they are out and about... in general Grusha does like to buy Angel flowers a lot too. Angel likes to paint the flowers Grusha buys him, he probably has a sketchbook for tbat specifically haha.

They like to have picnics when they can and relax, so I can imagine Grusha putting flowers in Angel's hair, too...Angel probably returns the favor.

Ok im editing in Grushangel. I dont think its necessarily info dumping but when Grusha is okay with it again (therapy yay) he probably watches a lot more sports and Angel watches with him even if its not really his thing, its fun and he loves what it means to Grusha.

Grusha would listen to Angel talk about art stuff too, not so much heart eyes but he would come to adore Angel's passion for the arts. It rubs off on him a bit and he gets into knitting haha.

it starts with him and his younger brother aniq. due to an unfortunate sequence of events which involves their father and only present parental figure dying (something that aniq blames nayef for! but it wasn't his fault. he also didn't exactly run to get an ambulance either) they both (ages 11 and 10) get shipped off from their lil danish hometown to a rural estate in fucking france... their maternal aunt is there. and she is a massive mega bitch to them both, but nayef specifically, because he reminds her of the boys' mother. this goes on for years until they're 17 and 16.

nayef is. well he's got a bit of a unique take on the world and how love works. his aunt's hatred of him is less a burden and more a trial- surely he can earn her affection given time and effort. but aniq's got a more traditional view about it and eventually has had enough. she's kneeling in front of the massive woodfire oven one day while its open and on and he just. pushes. her in. slams the door. turns the heat UP. hansel and gretels her ass. etc!

grabs nayef and RUNS. but nayefs not disturbed, he's not a stranger to death by now. before they leave he's smelling something mighty compelling 🤔 he might revisit this later

So... I just finished watching the series finale of the Walking Dead and man, I don't even know where to begin...

It's been one hell of a ride to say the least. And I don't mean just this episode, no... The entire series. I never thought that I would get so emotionally attached to this series. Hence, I never even thought that I was going to like TWD, back in August, when I started to watch it. And well, look at me now. I am an emotional wreck after the end of season 11. I cried - a lot. I can't believe it's over... Sure, I know this series for barely 5 months and I know that there are people out there, who watched it for 12 years, but... Damn, I love it. A lot.

I'm going to continue my rambling underneath the cut, because spoilers...

Where do I start? Luke and Jules. Gods... They both weren't my favourite characters, but nevertheless... I was sad when they died. Especially Luke. To see how Magna, Connie, Kelly and Miko suffered was heart wrenching.

Daryl saving Judith... I think we can all agree that it was a bad idea to bring her along in the first place, but yeah... It was very sweet. I can't deny that. It reminded me of when Rick saved Carl - and Shane, when he rolled that bed in front of the door to block Rick's hospital room. The parallels were killing me a bit. Just like the 'Hey lil' asskicker. Hey big asskicker.' thing - omg...

I am so so fucking happy Lydia survived. Honestly. I had a very bad feeling, when they had to amputate her arm, but luckily she made it. I learned to like her so very much - which brings me to Negan and Maggie. I loved the conversation they had. How Maggie can't forgive him, because everytime when she looks at him, she sees Glenn die - but she doesn't want to hate him anymore. That was the first time I almost cried. I hated Negan in the beginning. I did. But he had such a huge character development... He really changed. A now I have to say, that I like him. He deserves to live. I'm happy he's got Annie - and his kid.

I think the worst part for me, was watching Rosita die. That was the first time I felt the tears running down my cheeks. Gods, don't get me started on Eugene sitting by her side, crying. Or realising Coco lost both her parents... Luckily she's got Gabe. Yeah... Gabriel... He literally went from zero to hero, didn't he? I never thought he would be there in the end, but he is. And I am glad he is.

What I didn't like so much was how they got rid of the walkers. I mean, yeah, it was super cool and all, but... It was a bit too easy, wasn't it? And suuuper rushed, like... Idk... One second, the Commonwealth is ablaze and in the next they're having dinner together? Was a bit weird.

I love that Ezekiel is the new Governor, alongside Mercer. We all know that if somebody can do this, it's him. He's got his Kingdom back - and I'm happy for him. Ezekiel is a great guy - just like Mercer. I'm happy he found Princess - who deserves her happy ending. Just like Eugene and Max. Btw, I'm happy Aaron and Jerry survived as well. I mean, come on... Jerry is such a cool dude.

The end was, ugh... I can't put in words what I felt when I saw Michonne and Rick. When they talked about everyone who lives and who we lost on the way... Yeah, I was on the verge of crying again. But at the same time it was somehow utterly beautiful. We are never going to forget the ones we lost on this long journey, right?

Who/what else do we got? Oh right... My man. My knight in an angel-winged vest and crossbow. First off... He was super hot in that episode. Let me thirst about this man for a moment, thank you.

Secondly... AMC... WHY IS HE NOT WITH CONNIE, HUH? WHY??? We were robbed! Robbed! Well... Not much we can do about it, unfortunately... But I'm happy Connie is here. And Kelly. And Miko and Magna - who are super cute together. Thirdly... Ugh, that scene with Carol in the end... I'm not saying that I am a huge Carol fan, but damn... I cried. Again. The friendship those two have... Damn... But my personal downfall in the end was, when Judith said to Daryl: 'You deserve a happy ending too.' Right into the feels, because yes!! He deserves a happy end! I hope he finds it.

All in all, I can say that I enjoyed this episode. The season was a bit meh, but this episode... Holy shit.

Am I going to re-watch TWD? Hell yes! It's not over. It's never over.

Neither's friends or family were aware! For keeping his supe life hidden, Ben's friends and family had no clue that he was dating Homelander. And, since Homie lacks both of those things (sorry to my babygirl but you have no circle sir), there was nobody to support the concept.

7- What would their lives be like if they had never met?

I think Homelander's life would continue on however the canon of the show itself decides to carry him. Ben, I think, likely would've died fighting the waves of rogue supes Homelander's leaking of V unleashed into the world. (As Tender Threads chapters release further, this point will make more sense.) In TT's timeline for season 2, Ben (reminder, reader is based off of him) very nearly dies during a fight, and actually would've had Homelander not intervened at the last second. Alternatively, for a less sad outcome, he may just spend his days living in a shitty apartment, barely making ends meet while he denies himself a life beyond work and heroics- because that's what he has to do. Because, if not him, then who?

Christmas ain't the only thing coming early. I like to think they bounce between visiting Ben's family out of state or just doing something small with each other (and Ryan, of course). One of my favorite ideas that swirls in my head every so often is Homie's first New Year's Eve after losing his powers. He and Ben bundle up and pick a nice, high building to sit and watch the ball drop in Times Square. Have a lil new year's day kiss hehehe. Or him and Ben decorating their first christmas tree together.

9- Who’s more likely to convince the other to come back to sleep in the morning?:

Depends on the 'verse timeline. When Homie still has his powers, Ben suckers him into five more minutes constantly, until they've wasted the entire morning snuggled into each other. Adding also, when they're together, Homelander is able to relax enough to genuinely sleep. Sure, he doesn't need it, but he finds he enjoys just how peaceful it is to allow himself a true rest with someone he loves so much. He's safe.

For depowered Homie, he looooves a good snooze. He clings to Ben like a leech and whines a ton when Ben has to leave and head over to Vought Tower- not that it takes much convincing. Without any kind of V to keep him energized, he finally understands why Ben always hated crawling out of bed in the morning.

They both drive but Dante does more often. Cooking is often a joint effort so they don't burn down the kitchen <3 they rarely make anything edible but they usually eat it anyway. Gray cleans more often. Gray helps Dante with his bills since they're in the shop so often (they don't officially live there) so ig both of them? Dante's a little better with people than Gray is so he handles the public.

18. What are their dates like? How long do/did they date? Do they ever feel the need to take a break from each other?

Dates are often low-budget and intimate. Earlier in their relationship when they were still getting to know each other, a lot of it involved sharing little things about each other like just playing records for each other or chatting while taking a walk somewhere. They like to go to Fredi's or some other restaurants/bars on the cheaper side and eat there. I also like the idea of them having a lil picnic in gray's apartment 😭. I imagine they also like to drag him to plant nurseries jdfsklf. They dated for a few months before they were official since they knew each other for a while before that. Idk if this counts as taking a break from each other but they're apart fairly often when one of them has to go out on a job, it's a nice opportunity for some alone time ig. There's also Dante leaving at the end of dmc5 but that was not done with the intention of taking a break jdflfsdf

Gray's family is incredibly deceased but Miko and Blake would have really liked Dante </3. I haven't fleshed out their bio parents and siblings much yet. As for Dante's, in canon, Gray isn't particularly close with Nero or Vergil. They like Nero a lot but they just don't really interact much. I don't see Nero having a strong opinion on them tbh? I could be wrong idk. They're not the biggest fan of Vergil but they're civil. I think Vergil has mixed feelings but is happy that Dante has someone who makes him happy.

As for friends fjkdsl there's so many (5 at most). Eden spends by far the most amount of time with them and is really happy for them <3. Dmitri doesn't care much about Dante but is happy for Gray (after he got over his initial jealousy anyway fdjslf). Patty was probably the most suspicious of Gray but ended up really liking them! I think Lady and Trish are probably happy for them (mainly Dante) as well.

33. What kind of presents do they get each other? Do they only do it on special occasions?

I struggle a little with what Dante would get them but it'd probably be little things that remind him of them (usually botany/plant related) but maybe just like. a cool rock he found or something too FJKDSL idk. Gray's not too much of a gift-giver but sometimes they'll come home with some beer/whiskey and also a cool rock they found. They also give him a little strawberry bush that he keeps on his desk and they keep it alive year round with their powers :^).

39. Who initiated the relationship? Who kissed who first? When did they realize they were in love?

So they started out as more of a friends with benefits situation which was I'm thinking initiated by Dante and he kissed them first. Gray was the one to initiate an actual relationship after a while and a lot of mutual pining and hesitation on both ends. But I don't think it really took either of them that long to realize their feelings, acting on them was the problem fjdsklf.

el & akira:

11. Do they celebrate holidays? Anniversaries?

Yeah, they do! They don't celebrate holidays for religious reasons since they're both agnostic so it's mostly just for fun but they celebrate most of the major holidays (halloween, christmas, etc). I think anniversaries probably mean more to them though. They mainly like to recreate their first date (going to the carnival and then getting dinner and watching the sunset) and they get each other gifts as well.

13. What do they do for fun? Do they have a favorite activity or do they like to switch things up?

They're both pretty adventurous and prefer to switch things up. Akira does like to take her on motorcycle rides a lot though. El tattooing him counts as a date in their minds, they like to go to festivals/concerts (nina's performances specifically 👀), exploring new spots in the city, etc etc. They also enjoy just staying in as well from time to time.

36. What’s their greatest strength as a couple? Their weakness?

They balance each other out in a lot of aspects but clash in almost just as many. But they're ultimately very committed to building a life with each other and trust each other, and are (for the most part) honest and open with each other. As for weaknesses, Akira has a bit of a jealousy/possessiveness issue though it was mainly an issue at the beginning of their relationship. He's working on it !! he has not had many constants in his life. He is also very passive and non-confrontational when it comes to close relationships. El often has a hard time empathizing with him and seeing things from his perspective, and also has a hard time admitting when she's wrong. They also clash in the financial aspect mainly on how and how much they're spending their money.

42. Do they let each other get away with things that would normally bother them?

Akira does, El does not fjdsklf. As said above, Akira is pretty passive and willing to overlook (or ignore rather) a lot of things when it comes to her and El has no issue gently calling him out on something that bothers her.
