I think… the worst thing about doubles while being a nonsharer isn’t the double itself. Sure, seeing the double isn’t fun—it shatters me, knowing they selfship with the love of my life. But what really cuts deep is seeing all the people who support them. It’s unbearable knowing there are people cheering them on, telling them their f/o is all theirs. It’s like a knife to the heart every time I see their posts getting liked, reblogged, praised, and told how perfect they are together. It feels like people would rather imagine my f/o with them than with me. And then there’s this quiet, gnawing fear—that the people who support me now might one day find that double, see their posts, and decide they’d rather support them instead.
