Here's the promised breakdown of all our Lil Guy Data:

Within Round 1:

We have 11 Pokémon from Gen 1, 9 from Gen 2, 10 from Gen 3, 11 from Gen 4, 6 from Gen 5, 4 from Gen 6, 4 from Gen 7, 11 from Gen 8, and 6 from Gen 9, so every generation is represented in the Lil Guy Pokémon poll!

As for type, we have 8 Normal type, 3 Fighting type, 4 Flying type, 8 Water type, 5 Fire type, 6 Rock type, 6 Electric type, 5 Ghost type, 7 Psychic type, 3 Dark type, 5 Bug type, 8 Poison type, 7 Ground type, 3 Fairy type, 5 Ice type, and 3 Dragon type!

The least? We've got just one steel type!

On the opposite end of the spectrum, we started out with a whopping 15 Grass types! Guess Grass has a Lil Guy subtyping!

Most of our lil guys are the first of their evolutionary line, with 22 being the first in a line of 3 and 43 being the first in a line of 2. Only 6 of our lil guys don't evolve at all, and just one lil guy is an evolved form!

(Coincidentally, Maushold also wins for the most lil guys in your lil guy.)

Our biggest lil guys by height are: Smeargle and both variations of Slowpoke, coming in at 47" or 1.2m. Since Slowpoke might be length, I think we can crown Smeargle as our tallest lil guy; I'm sure the crown will fit great on their hat.

The biggest lil guy by weight, by far, is of course our snacking friend, Munchlax, at 231.5lbs or 105kg. So if you ever need a friend to help you bench press, I'm sure Munchlax would be happy to help!

Our littlest of lil guys? When it comes to height, that would be Joltik and roaming form Gimmighoul, at a teeny-tiny 4" or 0.1m. Notably, we do have a lot of tiny lil guys, with Morelull, Applin, Wishiwashi, Shroodle, Natu, and Shaymin's land form all coming in just a smidge taller at 8" or 0.2m.

Roaming form Gimmighoul wins once again for smallest weight, coming in at 0.2lbs or 0.1kg. Our next smallest is our fishy friend, Wishiwashi at 0.7lbs or 0.3kg.

Within Round 2:

When it comes to generations in Round 2, we have a clear mode: 5! We have 5 Pokémon each from Gens 1-5, 3 from Gen 6, 4 from Gen 7, 3 from Gen 8, and just 2 from Gen 9!

As for types, we've knocked out Steel type entirely this round (sorry, Alolan Sandshrew!). Fighting, Dark, and Dragon types are all hanging in there with one Pokémon each- Riolu, Galarian Zigzagoon, and Goomy! Then we have 2 Flying; 3 each of Normal, Water, Ghost, Electric, Poison, Fairy, and Ice; 4 of Rock, Psychic, Bug, and Ground; and lastly Grass type's previous lead is now shared with Fire type, with 5 Pokémon each.

All but one of our Pokémon are now full of potential and waiting for evolution. The exception is Shuckle, who is just full of potential

(I mean, look at them.)

Our remaining lil guys are also even littler! Currently holding the title for tallest Pokémon in the competition are Snover and Kantonian Ponyta (whose Galarian counterpart is just a smidge smaller), both at 39" or 1m. As a tree, it should come as no surprise that Snover is the heaviest Pokemon in competition at 111.3lbs or 50.5kg.

With Gimmighoul out, Joltik is now the only 4"/0.1m Pokémon left in the running (but oh that 8 foot vertical leap, right?). It's also the smallest by weight at 1.3lbs or 0.6kg.

Real quick update here the Glitchdex for RB is COMPLETE up to Charizard 'M! All glitch pokemon from Red and Blue are fully functional in the Pokemon Essentials engine!

I'm getting started now on filing out movesets with custom glitch moves as well. Still trying to figure out how to set animations but I'll play with that more when I've got time.

Still stoked to have this first leg finished. If people want I can release the .txt file that includes the RB glitch pokemon.

There are some caveats. Right now glitch moves and super glitch/ cooltrainer are not includes in movesets (the latter two I'm still figuring out what to do with). And not all pokemon have cries yet.

I'm planning on releasing the .txt and sprite data on its own before I update for moves. I did this in Pokemon Essentials v21 if that makes any difference to people.

Anyway super excited to have this step completed. I'd be stoked if people wanted to include my lil guys in their fangames.

who are your fav legendaries? how about trainers?

i never gave a lot of thought to what legendary was a favourite of mine but gun to my head id have to go between suicune, cresselia, and virizion. leaning toward cresselia atm

as for trainers i have one locked and loaded: my main man frontier brain thorton has been my funny lil guy for over a decade now. im probably the only person on earth whose favourite pokemon character is this weird haired brat with like 5 lines total but ill go to the front lines for his sake any day. small autism boy who cant emote for shit and doesnt care about you enough to try to. fight him so he can get data for his special interest and then leave his sight. hes not feeling up to masking today

You know, it’s almost tempting to get ranger certification. I’d have almost no time due to the sanctuary, but at least I’d be able to get to situations where my specific expertise is needed faster.

That and the Galarian rangers I encountered a few years ago made me paranoid for some Pokémon’s level of aid- that definitely didn’t help. I just want to be certain there aren’t other cases like Midna’s.

I know what u mean but it is very funny that my last few posts about being a ranger are about how anxious I am that this paradox mission is destroying my body and philosophy regarding wild pokemon and u were like 'hey I should do that'.

For real talk though I do want to say that you absolutely do not have to Become A Ranger to get more in the loop about ranger business. If you personally want to get the ranger certification we do also have rehabilitation rangers, who work almost exclusively with sanctuaries like yours. That said I don't know how much use you'd get out of that education - it would be a lot of repetition of things you already know.

What I would recommend is looking into setting up your sanctuary as an official partner of the ranger union. Sanctuaries that we partner with are able to access data that rangers upload about what pokemon have been rescued from where and what kind of care we're trying to find for them. The operators are the ones who mostly keep things up to date, there's like a portal for our third party providers to see what's going on, what we are requesting and also can submit requests for concerns or aid that you might need. That would mean we could request your expertise as soon as we find situations that might need it rather than only after we're ready to place the pokemon in a shelter.

You'd also be able to put in a request to have a rehab ranger stationed with your sanctuary, funded by the union, that would assist (in theory) with rehabbing the pokemon that might one day be eligible for wild release. In practice I think those guys just end up as an extra set of hands to help out wherever they can. You know how it goes.

Anyway. Third party partnerships do happen. There's an agreement that outlines the benefits, responsibilities, and termination procedure that you'd want to review and discuss with the Paldean administration.

Rangers really need good shelters in order for us to be able to do our job well, and the thought of you sacrificing time that could be better spent on the shelter to pick up ranger jobs does make me a lil sad. I'm sorry the Galarian chapter was such a bad experience, I know well enough that there are some stinky corners of the union. But as someone who's been around some, and someone who adores your sanctuary, I will say that the Paldean chapter is pretty top notch. I'd def recommend at least looking into becoming an official partner

Iron Launcher's Pokemon Infopost

if it isn't super obvious already, its design is based on rockets and airplanes. they're shaped much like longkii, very very longe

it was a bit difficult to figure out how to make a rocket hi-tech and super cool, so i had to look at some references, and i found that reshiram's tail and rings quite fits the futuristic feel i wanted. (floating rings are cool

other than that, there's not much i can say about this design? longkii's shoes are essentially works as the engine IL uses to propel itself, the crown is just a smaller ring around its body, and the ++ eyes are inspired by chinchou's eyes, to kinda give it that silly lil happy guy energy that i will explain a bit later.

there wasnt much thought put into the design sadly cuz i have a biiit of a bias for the past paradoxes, so i struggled a bit in putting my all for the future version like displaying their personality and such. fortunately, i have tried to make up for this by expanding more on its personality in its learnset and game data!

Game Data

obviously, IL would be more on the speedy side, and i've made it be primarily a mixed attacker with weaker defenses. i'm not sure if this is a good spread? if possible i would like to improve this.

i also wanted to built this guy to be a bit of a glass cannon, so i made this custom ability !

this ability, plot armor, was me trying to expand on its personality as a rather rash and reckless type of pokemon, but is stubborn enough to never back down against an opponent, much like a heroic protagonist !!

this is also why i named the ability plot armor LOL i just imagine those types of shonen protags where the more the villain beats them up, they magically get stronger or they get a power up out of nowhere

anyways, its an ability thats like a double-edged sword, its frail but it can get super powerful very fast if you dont kill it immediately!!

i sadly don't have a lot to say about this, its also just me trying to expand on its personality, they're very silly and hyper!! and they love to be super active and beat each other up !1!!!!!!!1!!!11!

they also have a built-in instinct to befriend as much people and has a savior complex kinda, you gotta love em'

Learnsets

lastly, here's IL's learnset! I try to incorporate a lot of moves that involves a lot of it headbutting and charging to showcase its reckless personality

status moves like lock on is there to compensate for the couple of inaccurate moves, because as you know, 90% is basically 50% accurate. follow me can be used in double battles, to encourage the opponents to attack it to give it that plot armor boost.

they also learn a couple moves that do recoil later on, which does activate its ability ! they also know a couple of electric moves due to their pokedex entry explained above.

their signature move, Gigaton Bullet, is also made by my friend Gold, and here is the description for it! (i really dig this move ngl

Gigaton Bullet - Iron Launcher charges up for 1 turn, and launches full speed towards the target. It goes out of control and flies in different directions, and can attack the target 3-6 times. After the move ends, it takes 10% HP recoil damage.

You do realize Cara Liss' revived Pokemon aren't nearly as sickly as people claim and investigations have shown many reports were falsified right? Not to mention the Pokedex itself is considered being discontinued in favor of a new database due to many contradictory and even fabricated entries including the ones for the Galarian fossil Pokemon?

These Pokemon are still considered by the League to be healthy enough for battle and it feels a little hypocritical to talk down about them when there are lots of artificial Pokemon. Do you give this little speech to any kid who has a Porygon? Is the Hoenn Weather Institute evil for creating Castform? Is Trubbish a sin against humanity when it is just a stinky lil' guy who wants to eat trash?

I admit I myself have bias as I have a Dracovish named Dunk. He was abandoned by his trainer because of the controversy around Cara Liss and her Pokemon but I adopted him after I found him on my property. He is a happy boy who does not "suffer just by existing" as so many claim and despite what the Pokedex says he can breathe out of water just fine like most water Pokemon and is even a very strong swimmer despite how he looks.

I feel people exaggerate and overreact just to have something to get riled up about then join the mob mentality rather than trying to educate themselves. You actually encourage the abandonment and release of fossil Pokemon through such negative statements rather than having empathy for the Pokemon and professionally addressing your concerns.

The difference between those Pokémon and one of Liss' chimeras is that those Pokémon were meant to exist in their current form. Unlike Liss, who mashes together fossils and calls it revival.

But frankly, I do not feel the need to debate this. There is no board of ethics in the world that would condone her actions. She is a monster and her chimeric creations her victims.

You do not need to talk to me about mob mentality. I understand it better than most. And I also understand the appeal of feeling as though you are the sole beacon of righteousness in a sea of ignorance. That feeling is ever seductive.

But that does not make you right. A single example does not outweigh all the other data. And even if her creations were all happy and healthy with no issue, it does not outweigh her recklessness and arrogance in creating these and releasing them willy-nilly to anyone passing by. A scientific board of ethics exists for a reason. Every action she takes is of disregard to the ecosystem and nature.

She is a monster for many reasons. Now stop trying to defend her in my ask box.

well, some minor good news today!

they found charcoal!! i got a picture of him, m, and j on shift today (with their permission!!), but someone apparently turned charcoal's poke ball in to the rangers today and thankfully they didn't seem to scramble the poke ball data, so he was reunited with m 😊

poor guy still seems a lil shook up though :( m's keeping him out for the time being but he's been practically clung to her side all day...i'm really, really worried about him, since he's been avoiding pretty much anyone else and hiding behind the counter or under one of the tables when someone comes by, including us. he's getting a lil better now; i managed to get the picture and all, but whoof...

still no real info on just what happened, but we're all still definitely on high alert here--though one of the people i was talking to on my shift today said that they heard about a few other thefts that were happening?? and they were looking for high IV pokemon or something like that from some kinda website...

well, at any rate, the day went okay though! not really too busy, and it was kinda rainy too so there weren't a lotta pokemon to see out here. kind of a shame, i wanted to get some nice photos...but tomorrow's another day! shift's just getting off, so i'm off to the mountains to let peppermint have some fun!

rotom (usually) dont have as much access to your personal shit! unlike porygon, theyre not built entirely out of data, so there are some things that even they can’t access. a rotom phone is essentially “a device that houses a rotom with a phone interface that the rotom can use”. the rotom can do everything you can do on a phone, but they aren’t in the phone itself. so if the phone gets a virus or malware, the rotom aint affected by it

porygon on the other hand are BUILT to be inside the phone or computer or whatever. they are pokemon comprised entirely of programming data. porygon only carry out what they are programmed/commanded to do, while porygon2 and porygon-Z are a bit more unpredictable. but all porygon can travel freely thru cyberspace, they arent confined to one device. but! this comes at the consequence of catching viruses and malware! if you have protections in place and you regularly check in with your porygon’s health, this wont be an issue. but an infected porygon CAN and VERY MUCH HAS been a security risk!!

Very true! I think your first way makes the most sense, since theres probably some sort of gene in Hisuian pokemon that could show up in their pups.

(As an aside, in case this helps in any way: The reason that the statues growlithe are based on lost their horn, was because they frequently broke and had to be repaired. It was annoying to keep repairing them, so they just started making statues that didn't have the horns, so they couldn't break.

Its possible to read something similar with Growlithe. Their horns kept breaking, so over time the ones without horns/with smaller horns started to take over, do to the evolutionary advantage of Not having to deal with that issue. This could then lead to some interesting emotional/moral debates. Is it truly good/wise to try and recreate that version of growlithe, if it causes them health issues? )

I'm just working with the whole 'ok, if they all share known egg groups, that means they've likely crossbred in the past right? so they could be carrying yadda yadda genes from great great great great great grandpappy Arcanine' xD

They're all in board game club (pshh I'm not biased), which is how the girls group met the guys group

MUN QUESTIONS.

Q1: IF YOU COULD WRITE YOUR CHARACTER YOUR WAY IN THEIR OWN MOVIE, WHAT WOULD IT BE CALLED, WHAT STYLE WOULD IT BE FILMED IN, AND WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?

•So, I'm already making a comic that I want to make as an animation for the story of FFXIV with my character and her friends. This character was specifically built for FFXIV, but it has a twist. Kinda like a Sword Art Online ordeal, but instead of Millions of people playing are stuck in the world, it's just like 100, but they aren't stuck, in fact they are just chosen to go between their world and Eorzea. If they die, they don't actually die, but respawn, even in their own world, but they feel how they die and the only way for them to die in any shape or form is by natural cause like old age or sickness. This would be a 2D animation in the anime style and be a multi episode series with multiple seasons. I even though about branching out to go certain routes so that Lyllyan can end up with all my favorite characters. I would call it Final Fantasy XIV: A World Reborn.

Q2: WHAT WOULD THEIR SOUNDTRACK/SCORE SOUND LIKE?

•With it being a Final Fantasy story, it would have Final Fantasy Music.

Q3: WHY DID YOU START WRITING THIS CHARACTER?

•Lyllyan Weiss was made to represent me and she still does, but also inspires me to be more like my courageous heroic self. Because of this, I have been able to do things like crossing a bridge that's in bad shape to get to the other side without the fear of falling, just to get back to my mom who went to the other side on a trip we had.

Q4: WHAT FIRST ATTRACTED YOU TO THIS CHARACTER?

•She is literally me.

Q5: DESCRIBE THE BIGGEST THING YOU DISLIKE ABOUT YOUR MUSE.

•Just like me, she is stubborn and hard working, but there are times she pushes herself way too much. She hesitates to ask for help, not because she doesn't trust the people around her, but more of trying to not burden them. Others wish she would open up to them and also rest when she can. Raha has to literally force her to rest, and she nearly gets herself killed against the first battle with Rahjit because she kept getting back up to fight even when the others beg her to stop.

Q6: WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN COMMON WITH YOUR MUSE?

•Almost everything. Major thing is that she doesn't look like me, but also I know when to quit.

Q7: HOW DOES YOUR MUSE FEEL ABOUT YOU?

• I feel like if Lyllyan and I were to meet in person, we'd get along just fine. We would play video games all day long if we could.

Q8: WHAT CHARACTERS DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE INTERESTING INTERACTIONS WITH?

•OH BOI HERE WE GOOO

- Leveilleur Twins: Alphinaud and Alisaie are very close to Lyllyan. Alphinaud used to pull Lyllyan out of class to have her hurry up and go through the story, now its chill and play ace attorney. Alphinaud, depending on what route is taken, is definitely in love with Lyllyan and is constantly teased about it by everyone. Alisaie is like a sister to Lyllyan. They have had many nights where the pulled 24 hours playing Sims. Alisaie is who Lyllyan tries to protect the most between the two. She's also the reason why Lyllyan is now Bi. Lyllyan absolutely adores her and if the route is taken, they end up being the cutest couple.

-Leon D'hart: An Alt character that I made that depending on the story and route, he is also Lyllyan's Lover. He is a character made by Square Enix to be the Warrior of Light replacement if Lyllyan did not succeed in preventing herself becoming a light warden. His story with her is a bunch of trial and tribulations, but in the end they do end up married.

-G'raha Tia/Crystal Exarch: The main story Lyllyan's Lover. Great friend to start out and tears were shed when he sealed himself into the tower. He really kept Lyllyan guessing when he was Exarch. When Emet-Selch kidnapped him, Lyllyan was hellbent on getting him back. Now she visits him at the first everyday bring stuff from Eorzea for him, and even occasionally stuff from her world. He is her world as she is to him.

-The Scions: Thancred and Lyllyan are like Big brother, Little sister. He protects her, and scolds her as such. They may act like they hate each other, but the moment either gets hurt, the other is at their sides. Though rumor has it that Thancred had feelings for Lyllyan. Y'shtola is close to Lyllyan, but is usually not around often. Shtola usually is often around to keep an eye on Lyllyan's aether since her amount is quite high compared to the others and her fellow Warriors of Light. Urianger is someone who used to hardly talk to Lyllyan, but started opening up more after the years. He had watched her grow from 15 moons to now 21 as the others, but they seem to be more special to him. Lyllyan swore to protect him if anything ever happened especially after he asked her her thoughts on his new attire. Tataru is a precious angel and if anyone was to hurt her, Lyllyan would kill everyone and then herself. Ryne, even though she is not a scion, she is a scion. Ryne worries about Lyllyan, but is often in awe of her. Lyllyan and Thancred adopted her, and she's ended up calling Lyllyan mom on many occasions.

-Ser Aymeric: Depending on the route, he would be Lyllyan's Lover and he tries to protect her when he can, be it politics or in war. He has a dream to journey with her, and though he can't do so with Lylyan Weiss the Au Ra, there is nothing saying he can't make a character and become a Warrior of Light himself and travel with Sakura Yue(Lyllyan's Alt).

-Zenos Yae Galvus: So this guy commits Seppuku and then shows up at Lyllyan's job as her new Bartender. They end up becoming friends through the job, and the fact that Zenos is bored out of his mind that he can't go kill people,but finding out later that he is back makes Square Enix themselves worried about this guy.

-Estinien: Lyllyan had adopted him as her Edgy Son. He hates it. He reminds her that he is older than him, and she retorts about beating him as a Lalafel. He usually starts brooding after that on a high building that usually takes Alphinaud and Ser Aymeric to get him down.

Q9:WHAT GIVES YOU INSPIRATION TO WRITE YOUR MUSE?

•Music and Playing Final Fantasy. Mainly XIV, but others do count too, but also reading all the other fanfiction and comics about final fantasy XIV.

Q10: HOW LONG DID THIS TAKE YOU TO COMPLETE?

About...4 hours? Maybe more? My hands definitely hurt from all the typing! XD
