Idia: Sides, there were stuff I used to not like about the dorm, but I already made upgrades to all that stuff.

Idia: We soundproofed the walls and floors, installed commercial-grade AC, and the dorm-wide servers are of my own technical specs.

Idia: To live the perfect shut-in life, we can't not have walls that can't take loud shouting, or ACs that can't keep overclocked PCs cool, so～

Idia: …Ah, wait a mo'. I just thought of one issue I got. "There's not enough electrical outlets"!!

Idia: This kinda stuff needed specialized qualifications to do, so it's not like I coulda bought the parts and DIY it.

Idia: I'm using a power strip for now 'cause I have to, but I hate how the wiring just looks like spaghetti. Even a master wiring tech like myself can't stand a sight like that!

Idia: Oh, I just thought of one more thing. "I want to have the low-capacity breaker replaced"!

Idia: It's so weak that the breaker flips just 'cause I try to have 4 computers, the server, a 3D printer, microwave, and electric kettle all plugged in at once!

Idia: I mean, I'd set up a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system in case of emergencies, so my computers and server was fine, but...

Idia: Because of that, my plan to add an AC unit and a refrigerator in my room went out the window. That was a nightmare. Oh, and…

Idia: …Dyehehe. I said I couldn't really think of any, but it's hilarious how the ideas keep flowin' out.

Idia: I'll attach some of the numbers we have on the cost of estimated damages by having Ignihyde students continue to use those useless breakers.

Idia: The Headmage is pretty much influenced by profits, so. If I explain how it's necessary to get better equipment, then he might listen to improvement suggestions.

Hello hello!

If/when you have the time to do so, it'd be pretty cool to see some headcannons about the type of nerd stuff Tim does/is into. Like what kinds of games and shows he's into, "nerdy" behaviors of his, would he ever cosplay, etc. I personally think that he'd be into Dungeons and Dragons (not sure to what degree though).

Also, as an alternative, you could do headcannons about Tim with a nerdy!S/O who "matches his freak", so to speak.

Tim being into DnD is actually canon! The game he played in the comics was called Warlocks and Warriors

So, to what degree would he play? I think a pretty serious one

Not necessarily every week game night sort of thing, but at least once at month, or when he and his group can regroup to play together

I can see him going deep into the character making. Choosing the name accurately to the ability they have, the powers and so on

He wouldn’t be necessarily into “solving” games, like cluedo, for example. He is a vigilante, it’s a big part of him sure, but he also needs a break you know?

Games that represent too “close” to his real life would be a no no from the get go. Monopoly, cluedo and anything of the sorts

He is the type to prefer table games. Regrouping with his friends and play cards or anything really, just makes his night

In terms of video games I can see him play mini games (?) like small horror, thrilling ones on his pc. Otherwise he enjoys going to the arcade more. 80/90s style games are more up to his liking

Though, something he really LOVES, is Pokémon. He has a Nintendo switch just to play Pokémon games

Guilty pleasure are cooking mama, animal crossing and super Mario

The type to download the sim just to recreate you guys on the game and your love life

Finally! My DoL PCs and their LIs

My friends asked me if I wanted to join the School AU with their OCs and I thought for the longest time before bringing Lya to the party. Then I kinda just felt like it and drew the whole gang :D They came out beautifully so more information and separated images undercut!

Harpy transforms, Mate for Life.

Wears all white if she can.

Very light in weight, makes her defiant attempts usually ineffective.

Went through a lot to make things easier for her loved ones.

Skilled in segg but doesn't really enjoy it anymore at this point if it's not with her loved one. What she seeks in segg with her lover is intimacy and the feeling of security.

Secretly a meanie. Gets jealous easily and envious of almost anyone, but doesn't show it or act on it often.

Despises the Temple to her core but believes Jordan is a genuinely good person. Wanted to fuck him just because.

Protective toward her lover and the children at the Orphanage.

Very insecure about her financial state. She tried to make money anytime she could.

They don't set a love interest because of that, so they can't get attached and can freely roam everywhere.

Enjoy segg as it is, purely seeking more pleasure day by day.

Get bored easily but are also quick to forget, so after a while that very same thing may pique their interest again.

I made a found family au for Spider and my PC's I thought I'd share, mood boards included 🤭🤭🤭:

This is Spider's vibe in this au, nothing too different from canon. He's Eywa's little golden warrior. A ray of light on the land. Maybe a tad blessed, but mostly just himself. Spunky and bright and adventurous.

this is Sa'ana and A'nak. young lovers that have been forced around the Metkayina and Ta'unui Islands by love and the war, who will eventually settle in Awa'atlu.

Sa'ana is a ceremonial dancer of the Metkayina and Ta'unui villages. Her parents are Metkayina, while her husband's are Ta'unui. She is also a crafter known for her intricate she'll work and a surfer, a hobby she shares with her husband. She is around 20 at the start of her story.

A'nak is a younger scout, also around 20, and warrior of the Ta'unui, with ties to a long line of open ocean scouts who patrol on the outer edge of the reef. He met Sa'ana during one of his scouting runs where he would come to rest and trade for supplies in her village.

The baby was a product of teenage love and the fast pace of it all, which led them to being slightly unprepared for the tasks ahead, but they fast it together... until fate ripped their dreams of making it work apart.

The RDA activity had led A'nak to be called away from his village far more often and for longer periods, while Sa'ana was alone and afraid.

Spider and Sa'ana initially met during the Ta'unui raids when Sa'ana attempted to hide her infant in her Mauri, not knowing the were targets for burning. She had been alone in the village with little support, as she had recently moved to live amongst her husband and his family, before he was called away to scout and protect the village from the RDA presence. While she was loved by his family and his people, she was in an unfamiliar place with people who were still more strangers than family. And as she was not a fighter, and rather a dancer and crafter, she struggled to break free from the hold of the soldiers to reach her baby. it was Spider who recognized the meaning of her cries and ran into the blazes of the mauri ti save the child.

She would forever remember his act. She was young, alone, and scared, and he had come to her and her child's rescue in the time of their greatest need, despite it being dangerous for him to do so. He disobeyed his captors and risked death or even more serious injury than the burns to his back to protect her and her baby, because getting into an argument with Quaritch about being heartless, never once dropping the protective stance he took in front of her. He made her feel less afraid during one of the most traumatic moments of her life.

Their ways would be forcefully parted for many weeks before Sa'ana was forced to leave her husband's village. After the burning of both his and her villages, she could not find the support and safety she needed for herself and her son, and her husband was not due back from the reefs edge for many more weeks, as he was a warrior for the clan.

which will eventually lead her to traveling to Awa'atlu, the island's stronghold village, and there, she would be reunited with the boy who had so bravely saved her and her child.

Spider had yet to be entirely accepted by the people of Awa'atlu. He'd been allowed to stay and he had the Sully children to call family, but he was pretty lonely. A stranger, just like Sa'ana. And she accepts him with open arms. She had heard of his presence here and was more than excited to be reunited. Her son had begun to walk since they'd last met, and that was because Spider had saved him. He allowed her son to live until his first steps. She speaks of his bravery to his new clan and how good he is, hoping to influence their acceptance of him

Spider is happy to see her as well, to see that she and her son are safe and unharmed. He's rather obsessed with Nani, always watching over him and making sure he doesn't out shells in his mouth, building sand castles with him, getting in the occasional fight, cause she difference doesn't matter, a 17 year old and a one year old will manage to have beef (Spider is have the time of his life).

Sa'ana ends up getting his help around her mauri, which is in the deepest section inland of the village, so she's in a little foresty cove. She is closer to Spider's age than she is to being his mother (they have a 3/4 year age difference), so their relationship is something between friends and siblings, while she is still motherly at times. Spider does chores and brings her fish or hunts from the forests he's far better adapted to hunt in, and makes sure no one bothers her. She cooks and crafts for them and makes sure Spider doesn't feel alone.

Spider needed that after everything that happened over the span of the last few months. While he needed a true parent, after his ordeal with trauma bonding with Q and all that entailed, he wasn't ready for an authority/guardian figure in his life. He would have sabotaged any attempts made, but considering his status, no one would have tried to begin with. She wasn't his mother, she wasn't in charge of him, she was just someone he could lean on, nearly an equal, but just a bit older and wiser and reliable, and he felt safe with her.

Spider would bring his siblings to see Nani and play in the tide pools on the forest edge, and it was nice. it helped them feel a bit more... ok, after losing Neteyam, and with the RDA smog on the horizon. And Sa'ana liked hearing the gaggle of children outside of her home, playing with her child.

It would take weeks for A'nak to be relieved from his scouting duties and to make his way to Awa'atlu, where he decided he would stay, regardless of their families choices, so he could be with his wife; they tried to do things the traditional ways, moving with one of their families, but that didn't work, and Sa'ana got hurt in the process, and he would never leave her side again.

Spider does not like him at first. He sees A'nak as a man who couldn't handle his commitment and abandoned Sa'ana and Nani to be a warrior. It takes a while for him to trust the man. He doesn't like him, doesn't trust him to stick around, nor does he believe that he deserves Sa'ana and actively tries to get her to dump his ass. he is the biggest hater. He only gets along with him in the beginning to not stress out Sa'ana, and so she'll leave them with the baby to go take a proper break and mingle and breathe without anxiety.

A'nak does not know what to do with the kid. He's Sa'ana's.... kid? brother? friend? He has no idea what he should be doing. Should he be gently fathering him like Sa'ana mothers him at times? or would they just get him punched in the jaw? (it's the latter).

But eventually Spider will trust his commitment and open up to him, and they become very close. Spider will always give him shit and challenge his authority, but at the end of the day, when he doesn't have an answer or needs someone to have his back, he'll look for A'nak. and while A'nak doesn't know what to call this kid, he knows he would die for him. He would shield his body with his own. He would love mountains for him just like he would for Nani. That's his son and his brother and one of his best friends and that's all that matters.

They're the first people he tells about Quaritch being alive, and while it doesn't go over without reaction, they took it well enough, because that's their boy. They know him. They know he had a reason. And they trust him. He told them, knowing the risks, and he was honest, and his eyes held so much pain. So they help him break the news to the rest of the village and give him unconditional shelter no matter everyone else's reaction.

"I saved the monster that destroyed your home"

"You saved your father. Monster or not, he was your father."

"How are you ok with this?"

"I already know you enough to forgive you."

Sa'ana takes it best. She saw the boy in her village. Saw how torn his heart was. Knows that no matter the feelings he harbors for his father, his people will come first. A'nak needs to step away for a moment, which is the first turn Spider ever truly wanted him to stay, so he didn't do or say something foolish. But he gets over it, especially when the rest of the village gets s little hostile and he begins to guard the scar on his chest he never really asked about whenever he's near the eldest Sully woman. At that point that paternal instincts to protect unconditionally win. No one will touch his kid.

When the warfront returns to the shores of Awa'atlu, A'nak does everything to keep Spider from it, but ultimately takes him under his wing to make sure when he does sneak into battle, he doesn't get himself killed (though Spider does stay behind with Sa'ana and Nani often enough).

in the peace times Sa'ana and A'nak teach him to surf, and will take him all the way out to the edge of the reef to catch the good waves. A'nak takes Spider to scout when he resumes taking shorter, half day, trips. They each him the ceremonial dances of their people, for fun, and they practice together at night, and its so refreshing to do as a little family.

Spider takes Nani everywhere. They're attached at the hip. Spider is always taking him places and cooing to him and making him stuff. Over protective big brother to the max. This is the baby sibling he gets to raise, and that's special. He was only eight and barely accepted when Tuk was born. This is monumental for him. You never see them too far apart for very long. Even if it's a five minute check in every now and then when he's with his friends and other siblings. Nani is represented on his songchord by a pearl.

A'nak even put up with Spider's attempts to claim a Tsurak. He was a little shocked when he succeeded, but he pretends he always had faith (it's gonna be one of those stories he tells 20 years later and finally admits the truth. "I was only there cause I was gonna try and keep you from getting yourself killed")

in the end, Spider ends up living with them most of the time, he spends some nights with his siblings or with Ao'nung (cause they're totally crushing a little. and I think Sa'ana would giggle at the prospect of Spider falling for someone that reminds her of a younger A'nak, while A'nak himself pales at the mere thought. now he gets why Spider hated him so much), but he's home with them. With little Nani. In the mauri he helped make their own. And more often then not, he sleeps between them with Nani tucked in his arms.

This is the pretty girl era of having time management under control. The key is to learn how to live in the moment while also being discipline enough to move on to the next task as needed. I know that sentence was as daunting to read as it was for me to write ૮꒰ྀི⊃⸝ ⸝ ⸝⊂꒱ྀིა I guarantee I gotcha *Chaeyoung voice*

First Things First: Go 1 Week At a Time!! (every 3 days if an entire 7 is too much or your schedule is unpredictable, like mine)

Build a simple list of all the things you have to do and that you would like to do. Its much easier to get it all out on the table so you can donate more of your brain power to sorting things, rather than holding things.

Put all of the things listed on a calendar: Most important first things first! This means things like health appointments,work schedule, birthdays, holidays that you celebrate, classes, or anything that involves not only your time but other’s as well. Then after that put the elective things second; Nail appointments, shopping trips, dates with friends, etc. Lastly, put the things you would like to incorporate into your daily routine; We talking skincare, any hobbies you may have like drawing/painting/sculpting/reading/blogging, any form of exercise, etc.

Once the week or however much time you have scheduled out is done on your overall calendar, then its time for marrying it to your life.

Marrying your schedule: Planner apps, Physical Planner, Dry Erase Boards and Bullet Journals

Choosing your medium at keeping up with your schedule is very important. You may have to try them all before you get comfortable with something. I have tried them all and I’ve found that the main one that truly stuck with me was the app/website Notion. I like it because its fully customizable and you can use it at your own pace. Every week or every day may not be super eventful and so it drops the guilt and shameful feeling of not filling up pages every single day.

Here is what all I use and the way I use them:

Notion <3 I use it as my overall journal. I use the apps on my ipad/phone to check if I’m not home and I can use the website on my PC when I’m home and relaxing. I like it because its very versatile. Think of it as a digital journal combined with similar mechanics of tumblr. I use it for literally everything. There are a lot of videos that can show off all of the cool things Notion can be used for but this is the video that personally helped me learn it quickly

Bullet Journals <3 I have about 3 journals and I love them because I get to customize things with cute stickers and it gives very fun scrapbooking vibes. Because I use Notion as a all over planner I can use my BUJO’s for more fun and creative things. I usually use these for all of my cute ideas and things thats in my mind and aesthetic wishlists and such. Its very therapeutic to take time out to be kawaii and glamorous and just put cute thoughts on to paper! I mainly use it for kpop inputs, my fav shows, wishlists, dates and etc.

Dry erase board <3 I use this as a overall daily top important to-do list! Sometimes I dont always open my notion if I dont have anything extremely important coming up but there may be some things I need to keep on my mind to do for that day. The way my neurodivergency is set up I need to keep the most important things always in my face or I could forget everything. So, I put things on there like get a new tire, pick up order from bath & bodyworks, put clothes in the dryer, wash dishes, and etc. Daily tasks like that usually goes on my dry erase board

Remember at the end of the day dont be too hard on yourself and your schedule! Move at your own pace and always set yourself up for success. Scheduling is ideally suppose to calm you and be a tool to improve your life; not stress you out. If at any point you begin to feel overwhelmed just stop and recenter yourself and your life. I felt overwhelmed at first myself and that was because I was trying to keep up with a hyper organized and productive version of myself that I needed to give more patience to develop. Let this come organically to you and not because you are trying to keep up with what u feel everyone else is doing, or to the future self you are going to inevitably become. Even outside of work, I don't think I have a single interest or hobby that doesn't relate back to storytelling in some capacity. I'm an avid media consumer and critic, and will hyperanalyze just about anything that catches my fancy for more than a minute.

I love science fiction and fantasy, and my goal as a writer is to take all the genres I loved growing up and create stories that are a little more diverse, inclusive, and queer.

I write a lot, though most of it is disconnected nonsense. Flash fiction and short stories are where I really thrive as a writer. I don't tend to commit to long-form projects, but I have a few projects that I'll occasionally share details about!

Agnomen: A sci-fi retelling of Hamlet and Coriolanus, currently in its very preliminary stages. It is literally my Roman Empire, except it's set on a moon of a planet that I'm calling Jupiter as a placeholder (but please note that it isn't actually Jupiter, as Jupiter is a gas giant and therefore a scientifically impossible setting for large sections of the plot).

Alter Ego: A superhero fic in which not-so-mild-mannered reporter Drew Derrick fights for mutant rights and can't seem to get his act together when it comes to keeping the complicated parts of his life separate.

Untitled Fantasy Project: The very first project I ever wrote, and the piece I return to every so often when writing is feeling more like a slog than a fun hobby. I set a lot of one-offs in this world and follow a few key characters around without them having a real plot.

D&D: I write a lot about Baz, my Wild Magic Barbarian. He's a regency noble with a lot of problems, and I care about him very much. I also have various other settings and characters, but he's my most active PC at the moment and therefore gets the most attention.

you and heeseung share a pc in your apartment, and take shifts using it, because why wouldn't he let the love of his life use his most prized possession?

anyways, one day he comes back from practice with the boys late at night. and he sees you asleep at his desk with the faint glowing of the pc's screen illuminating your face, wrapped in one of his jackets!! he's like, wow, look, it's my adorable girlfriend!! she looks so angelic!!

so being the loving boyfriend he is he picks you up and puts you to bed with a smile, before running off to the shower to go freshen up.

after, when he comes back to your shared room, he takes a good few seconds to stare at his pc, and decides its a great time to hop on fort (me fr). who cares if its already 2 am?

and so he sits down in his gaming chair and clicks his mouse, the dim light of the pc screen brightening as a reaction to the sudden activity.

he's a bit slow because he's pretty tired, but after processing the black screen that is surely not fortnite's loading screen, rather lines of code, a small little smile of pride makes its way onto his face. he's so proud of you. he always will be.

his darling little dove, writing her own code! you've always been into coding, so he's ecstatic to have been able to come across the project.

now, heeseung is slightly educated in this field. listening to your little rambles about coding did teach him some important things after all. he goes through the code trying to figure out what you could be programming, before he realizes he can just check the project name! he seems to be getting slower by the minute, poor bby :(

and the title? "making a game for hee!"

his heart quite literally melts in that moment. it's an honor to have your hard work dedicated to him. he's always found your little hobby of coding endearing.

and what's even more adorable? the fact the the project dedicated to him is a game. you know he loves gaming, it's what he enjoys doing in the little downtime he gets, aside from doing things with you. even when he games, he finds a way to get you involved, like playing the game with him, or even just having you in his lap, the warmth emitting from you bringing him comfort he wishes he could spend all day feeling.

after a few seconds of falling in love all over again, all while staring at your sleeping figure on the bed, he decides to get some victory royals in, playing as quietly as possible to insure you don't wake up.

the next morning? he doesn't even mention it. the sweetheart realizes you probably want to surprise him with it, but he secretly checks your progress every night when he's sure you're soundly asleep.

and the day you drag him to the chair, tell him to cover his eyes, and surprise him with the game? his surprise is genuine. now heeseung was smart, yes, but he wasn't educated enough on the topic of coding to figure out how to run the program. he was already proud just by seeing your progress, the new lines of code being added to the project every night.

he plays that thing for hours. time for his weekly gaming session? you bet he's hopping on your game instead of fort. he's dedicated, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

once he finishes playing, he'll be begging you for another addition to the "dedicated to hee" series. you're so talented, could you blame the guy for wanting to play your games?

you'd never know how he's secretly so proud of you, how you're his pride and joy. how he brags to his friends, "yeah, my girlfriend codes games in her free time! she works so hard at her job and then makes games for me, she's my hardworking angel!"

if you did find out one day... he'd be shy for a couple of minutes, before stepping up and owning it. "well yeah, what'd you expect baby? you think your amazing skills would go unnoticed by my sharp eyesight?"

this is where you remind him that he actually wears glasses (he's amazingly attractive in them).

"they just help make my vision even better. that's how i found you... this!!" and he just pulls out the pastries you've been craving for months ever since your vacation to france.

I am under the assumption that Nanao doesn’t really know how to cook. At least, not full blown elaborate meals. Her rice cooker and crock pot are her best friends before you. Having to deal with Shunsui all day along with her typical lieutenants duties leaves Nanao with little time and patience to cook big meals. However she eats well and you come to learn that when helping her prepare one morning. Nanao enjoys coming home to warm stews in the winter. As for summer, she’ll eat anything that won’t heat the kitchen too much. She doesn’t strike me as someone who would eat out often if I’m being honest. Nanao is a weekly grocery shopper with recipes in mind so she knows what to buy, she’s a bit particular about this aspect of her life because again, she’s typically a busy bee. Your help is a relief to her, especially when you work less hours. A bonus if you know how to cook and don’t mind it either. You get to go with her on the weekly grocery shopping trips and make suggestions for the menu because she’ll always consider your thoughts too. The daily chore slowly becomes one of your guys’ favorite quality time activities. At least, a close second to your first favorite.

I don’t think anyone in this fandom cares about this guy but honestly when I see an old man, my coochie goes into overdrive so I’m including him. Anyways, I feel like since Genshiro is older he’s a bit more traditional, meaning he expects you to stay home while he is the breadwinner. So naturally that means majority of the cooking is left to you. On his days off I like to think he would be by your side as you cook, a spectator. Genshiro may be an older, more traditional man but he is thankful for your work, knowing it is not easy or much fun cooking meals every day. He slowly starts to welcome the idea of takeout and food delivery once in a while since he feels asking you to teach him to cook would be too much of a burden on you. Even if you insist on working for whatever reason, if you two are in a relationship, Genshiro has the same expectation that you’d be the one cooking. Boomer expectations, you know?

阿散井 恋次・renji abarai

Renji is the only King in the Seireitei okay. Soul King? Mid. Renji throws it down in the kitchen like everyday is Thanksgiving. He will take full charge of cooking because he loves you (not because you’d get in the way like… totally not…). If you’re feeling under the weather he has the best soup recipe from when he and Rukia were younger, surviving out in Rukon District. It was one of his survival skills, to be fairly honest and one he never would have expected to become a hobby. He assures you that he doesn’t mind cooking, mostly because he loves the way your eyes practically roll every time he makes that one dish you love so, so much. You can certainly wash the dishes afterward. Also, he totally wears those corny ‘Kiss the chef’ aprons. You’ll do it anyway to show your appreciation. However if one day you insist on cooking, he’ll acquiesce and relax. Just because he’s used to cooking doesn’t mean he won’t accept some of yours! Whether you’re a good or bad cook, he always puts his best foot forward and makes sure you don’t lose faith in your culinary journey. Definitely has an album on his instagram saved tab that is strictly recipes.

八々原熊如・yuyu yayahara

Be so for real, you two would blow up the kitchen just by stepping into it. Or at least Yuyu would. She’s an absolute sucker for delivery services once they pop off in Soul Society. Honestly, that’s what half of her paycheck goes toward every two weeks but what’s not to love about it? On-demand healthy meals are such an insane concept for the soul reapers and once it finally landed in Soul Society, Yuyu has been on it and has no shame. Besides, she wouldn’t be up for cooking after work anyways. The hours are long and even with Lisa as a captain, its not as easy a job one might believe. She has your guys’ orders saved, you just need to tell Yuyu what you want for dinner and it’ll arrive shortly.

OLBA or Our Life: Beginnings & Always it's a visual novel where you can play the perfect life you never got and cry about how much you wanted it after you finish it :DD (available on Steam for pc and Itch.io for both pc/mac and android!)

You play as-- well, you (or not, you choose)! You can choose your name, last name, pronouns, appearance, personality, hobbies, everything except your family, but you wouldn't like to change them for anything after you meet them.

You start the game as an innocent 8 years old kid that meets a random guy that tells you that he just moved across the street, he also tells you about his son: Cove! who has the same age as you. This guy tries to bribe you with 20 dollars, you can accept or refuse (or run! i like that option), either way you end up in a poppy hill behind your house and find the so famous Cove! He tells (cry) you that his parents just divorced and that he miss his mom ( :c ), you can comfort him or not, but you two still will be found by both of your families and have to go home.

That's the prologue! Gameplay aspect: it consists in 3 Steps of your life: 8, 13 and 18 years old! Each Step comes with 5 Moments, where you can spend time with (mainly) cove, if you're playing the base game. Talking about base game! You can complete it in around 5 hours (that's what took me the first time i think), and it comes with a 4th Step that work as an epilogue!

There are 6 paid DLC's (and a free one that is a name pack), 3 are other 15 moments for the first 3 Steps, 1 is a wedding dlc for our lovely Cove <3 (we'll get to him in no time), and the last 2 are extra content for two characters you'll meet in your very first playthough: Derek in Step 2 and Baxter in Step 3 (you should know this one very well if you follow me lmao), each with 5 moments extra for their assigned Step and their own Step 4 where you can follow and give proper closure to their stories!

I'll try to not ramble a lot because it's something you just need to experience yourself to get it but-- i will introduce you to the love interests! (or friendship interests, you don't need to crush on anyone to have a great time)

Cove Holden! Our lovely neighbor that we see almost everyday for like 10 years! You could also call him the second main character after you, since you learn more about him and his family during all the game. He's an introvert and ocean nerd (in the cutest way possible), depending on your choices you can shape his personality/style and become best buddies, the sweetest couple or just remain neighbours that never really got along. (you'll learn to love him, platonic or not, trust me)

Another perk of the game is that no matter what you do there's not "wrong or right" (unless you feel bad for the characters, like me), your actions does have consequences but there's nothing like a "bad ending/good ending", after all it's just your life, it goes on no matter what! Unless you want to reach a specific scene you found online you'll never have to use a guide for anything.

Derek Suarez! A caring guy! mabye a little too much, he's the oldest brother of 3 and that shaped him in a way that he always feels responsible of everything😔. During his storyline you'll help him to learn how to relax and lean on other people :D!

Baxter Ward! A monochromatic gentleman, mischievous as a cat and emotionally repressed like a pressure cooker <3. Struggles a lot with making deep conections and being emotionally vulnerable, you can imagine about what goes his storyline lol.

He's my favorite, if you haven't noticed. He has that infuriating charm that only someone that unironically says "Hallelujah" has. A very dramatic route, he's a very dramatic guy, you should see how he texts in step 3 aghsdas.

Also! all the side characters are super likeable, from your family to the baker of that bakery that is metioned a few times!

ANYWAYS, in conclusion: this is a very relaxing game! If you like visual novels you should definitely give it a try, the amount of replayability this game has is insane. My recommendations for when you play are:

Try the base game first! If you like it you can buy the moments dlcs (theyre only 3$ each!), mabye the wedding dlc after that (if you want to marry cove that is, this one is 2$ btw), Derek's dlc and Baxter's dlc (5$ each) for last. Those are pretty much the release order but i that's also the order i enjoy the most!

(play this game at least 2 times trying different choices/personality, the differences are ughhhh/pos)

When you're playing for the first time you should play the moments left to right. On later playthroughs you should change the order to find new dialogues! theyre small things but omg theyre so fun

Have fun! do whatever you want, i literally said there's no bad or good ending, take advantage of it and be as foward or shy as you want, be a little shit or a literal angel! That is your life we're talking about.

Sometimes I imagine what senior prom would be like for the bad kids, and especially Riz. I think at that point everyone one else might not be dating somebody, but they have someone to go with. Maybe Oisin asks adaine, gorgug probably has a comedy or errors trying to figure which of the many ppl he's hooked up with at this point he should go with. Kristen and tracker, ayda and fig, fabain and mazey. Riz, being vice president, probably had a hand in some of the planning and setting up, but eventually day of, the bad kids realize that he wasn't actually planning on going. That or he was just gonna see the beginning to make sure it ran smooth and then go home.

When I feel particularly angsty, it think all of the parents came to chaperone, especially cause so many work at the school. And that includes his mom and gorthalax. So after a song or two he sneaks out and goes to the cemetary to talk with his dad. Eventually after a while he gets kinda emotional and very frank and talks about whether or not this is what the rest of his life will look like. Being alone while everyone else gets partnered off. After he leaves, his dad gets worried about his mental state and sends down an angelic companion/familiar for him. So the next morning they all get woken up, hungover as hell, to riz sending pictures and Eventually coming around with the companion animal.

When I'm less angsty, I think jawbone invites him to play fantasy dnd with him, Lydia, and Lynn for the night. Eventually he starts dming, and finally has a non work hobby.

For the sad one -

The worst part about it is his friends didn't notice he left. Noone came to find him (he literally went to one of his top-three places people should look if he disappears and wasn't making himself hard to find and he was there for a long time). He also probably would have come back if someone called asking where he went. They were too busy having fun with their partners at the prom while he was alone, partnerless, and it just hits him all at once that 'yeah im less important to them than their romance lives... this is fine... im ok (he's not)'. His dad is frantically filling out paperwork while Riz has a breakdown because ah fuck my kid needs a therapy animal.

For the less sad one -

You know he would get so into it. The only problem is any campaign he makes he has to plot out every. single. thing. his PC's could do and ends up obsessing over it to the point of loosing sleep.

As an IF author that does this with a "this is my job" mindset I find it hard to do other things in my day to day because whenever I pick up my phone I feel like I am at work and I feel like I constantly think about my story.

Do you have any tips or advice on how to separate myself from my work and stop thinking about it 24/7?

Having a clear division between work and regular life is really important. I think it can be a little harder to do if developing an IF isn't your full-time gig. If you're working a job or are in school and you're packing IF development on top of it, then it can get really tricky to balance.

I also think that if you're working on a large, long-term project, it's a good and normal part of the writing process to think a lot about your story. Not all writing is done when you are actively writing. Daydreaming about your characters and your story lets you work out different kinks and make new discoveries.

So, you have a couple of choices here. You can reframe IF as your hobby, the thing you do in your free time for fun. Take away the pressure of thinking about it like work. You can pick away at it when the mood strikes, write on your own terms, and if you stop having fun with it, it's okay to slam on the breaks and put it aside until you're ready to come back to it.

But if you want to continue treating it as work or if it is already is your job, then you need to set some boundaries for yourself. This is going to be different for everyone; what works for me might not necessarily work for you. But here are a few things you can try:

Set a schedule. Try to contain the times when you are actively working on your project to within certain regular hours. Set different times for different parts of your job. For example, I only do social media management (tumblr inbox and notifications, Patreon, email, itch etc) during the first couple hours of my morning and then the rest of my work day is for writing and/or coding. I don't get through everything, but it's okay. It's really important for online creators not to fall into the trap of feeling like they have to answer everyone immediately, otherwise you will not get anything done.

If you manage social media for your IF, have separate accounts for your personal stuff and work stuff. I have two tumblr accounts, one that manages this sideblog and the other for personal fandom things. Logging out of my work account and into my personal one means that I'm not seeing notifications from this blog and I'm not tracking Wayfarer stuff. It really helps me keep work as work and downtime as downtime.

Separate your work and downtime spaces. Sometimes it's just as simple as working in one room and relaxing in another. This can be a bit tricky if you only have one device that you work from. I have a PC so I can't move it around, so if I'm using it to game later I try to change up my space (by getting a different chair or changing something else about my set up) so I have some kind of physical difference to trick my brain into going from "work mode" to "relax mode". Sometimes I have to get out of my office entirely in order to get that sense of separation, otherwise I feel like I am constantly at work.

If you're on your phone a lot and you don't really use it to make your IF or have alternatives for writing, get rid of the apps that put you in a work headspace. I got rid of the tumblr mobile app a couple years ago and it was probably the best decision in terms of actually keeping me out of work mode.

Take time off. Give yourself a weekend. Pursue other hobbies, play other games, write things other than your IF. IFs take a very long time to make, you can't go at it 24/7 or you will burn out.

His name is Armilus and he was born in a cult as an idol figure which has given him insane megalomania problems and a god complex.

He thinks all the cult members are suckers :P

He has that "all humans are insects" mindset grindset so he psychologically torments people for fun because why not lmao??

Despite being a massive misanthrope he has Vibes around him which make people naturally gravitate towards him, and he already has a manipulative streak from his parents, which makes toying with people fun :) but like honestly if you're a perceptive person you can pretty easily tell he's kinda Off somehow

He says he doesn't have hobbies because he's good at everything he tries (<- jackass), but he likes art (draws detailed anatomical dissections of humans because he's just like that) and dancing <3

Pretty much all his composure goes out the window when he's around the person he likes; Athalia. Lia for short. She's the kind of person he's naturally drawn towards; quiet, apathetic, a pushover...literally mute, so it's harder for her to go against him... something about her makes his megalomania go into overdrive and he's obsessed with the idea of completely controlling her life, what she eats, who she speaks with, where she goes- but Athalia is so traumatized her brain is constantly in survival mode so while she just let's him do stuff to her if she doesn't feel like he's actively threatening her, she also doesn't really have any feelings towards him besides "he gives me food and fights people off for me" which drives him insane, because he wants her to be as obsessed with him as he is her, so in his want to control her life, she ends up controlling his :)

If he was a LI in DoL Lia would've been an orphan who was his last lover before dying and he'd use PC as a replacement; he'd micro manage all their behavior (spot-checking is inevitable) and it's literally impossible to max out his love because it arbitrarily goes down, if you go along with his behavior it reminds him of Lia (and that PC is not her) and if you're too defiant he'll just drop you </3

he pays more than Avery but that's because you have to see him way more often... if he wants you to leave class, you leave class, if he wants you to drop work, drop work. His other Stat is Disgust; if it maxes out he'll actually get rid of you. Permanently. ^_^

Well... that's a hard question, so I'll divide it into points: -First of all, HAVE FUN!!! If you don't have fun with it, it's pointless! Stressing about 'getting better' will hinder your growth. And you won't *ever* be able to make what truly feels like 'you'. Also, when you LOVE something, the strong and positive emotion will help you remember what you learn (it's a psychological fact - I actually used it when teaching kids, I acted silly while I was explaining things because laughter would help them remember). -Observe the world around you. How things are made, how and why they have the shape they have. The way colors transition into one another in a sunset, or on a leaf, or even on your own skin. -Your art grows with you. As you experience new things, your art will grow. As you meet people, visit places, observe the world. As you grow as a person, you will find new things, new ideas and emotions you want to express via your art. -Your hobbies/the things you like influence what you draw. This is something I only noticed lately, but when I was a kid (elementary school age), I used to watch my sister play videogames. One of the first ones was FF X, and if you know the suteki da ne scene, you will get where my sappiness comes from. It's still my favourite animated cutscene of all time... just... the way the bodies move, it's so so beautiful.

-On that note, just because you're an artist it doesn't mean you can't get inspiration from things that aren't visual. Writing, music, etc... get inspiration from those also!

-You know the idea called 'consistent art style'? Well, hold it in your hand, look at it, and then defenestrate it. Outta the window it goes. Right now. -Keep a sketchbook! Why? Because that way, you can easily look back and see all the progress you've made! Your sketchbook can contain not only drawings, but also notes about stuff you learned, or maybe a cutout from something that inspires you... or even outfits, or swatches of color that you think look good together, etc. If you draw digitally, keep a digital sketchbook also (just make a folder and name the files p.01, p.02, etc. - maybe make a folder each year so that it doesn't 'burst' lol) In a way, a sketchbook is like a diary of your artistic life. -Keep a folder in your pc where you keep learning material, notes, or even art inspiration. Back it up every once in a while in case your pc goes kaput! NEVER forget to back up stuff.

Now this is for the technical stuff:

-Learn the fundamentals. Proportions of the body. Color theory. Perspective. <-these are the most important for now if you have just started drawing. There are many resources online, this is a list of useful links for artists of all skill levels, compiled by a wonderful soul: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_gg5Sdern2bn6wgfOh2xRrV8CwaVMIVBYvwSRfI6RCc/edit?pli=1&gid=0#gid=0 Personally, I used the following a lot: Figure drawing for all its worth by Andrew Loomis - book about how to draw the body (archive.org is your friend to find very useful pdfs) Proko and Marco Bucci - two artists on youtube I used to watch a lot during art school. I also used posemaniacs (a website) a lot. -Don't brush off traditional art. It's important you learn how real materials work. Especially with color! Pick three colors: magenta, yellow, and cyan (the primaries). Mix them up. Have fun playing with colors like kids would. Again, have fun! You'll learn lots. (Actually when I taught kids I did this. Also I picked a random colored pencil and asked them if there was more cyan or yellow or magenta in a color. That was particularly fun for them for some reason haha. And it's very VERY useful. Side note kids are so sweet I loved teaching them ;-;)

-On the topic of traditional art, please keep in mind pencils have different kinds of hardness (some draw bolder, some draw fainter) THAT MEANS that some might feel bad in your hand. As a general rule, I suggest not pressing hard because you might strain your wrist/arm, so I suggest something above a B (I personally like the 2B or 3B) but it depends on what feels comfortable for you. This might seem foolish but if it feels uncomfortable, you might draw worse than your potential if you use the wrong pencil for your hand. So experiment and see what feels best.

-Also if your body gets strained because you sit too much, consider drawing while standing up. It might be better. I personally only draw that way these days because of my health problems.

-Use references. Study them. Draw on top of them to understand the shapes of the body / object. Draw the subject again using those shapes. This is easier if you have a tablet obviously, if you don't you could either print them or use a fashion magazine or something like that. Sports magazines also, because you can learn how dynamic movement works.

^if this all seems overwhelming, do the following: get a reference, from anywhere you wish, and draw it with your favourite characters. There's nothing like obsession over some characters to learn how to draw. Trust me! :3c
