This one is remus×femreader bc we love remi in this house

Basically, remi and reader are arguing about something stupid (something to do with books) and there's a lot of flirting going on whilst arguing. Remus starts becoming a little amused while arguing and tries to hide his smile (we all know he has eyes that glitter when he's happy). Reader gets annoyed and starts going off on him and Remus kisses her to shut her up. The thing is, the reader has never been kissed before. And she REALLY likes him. So she's shocked to say the least. She stares at him in disbelieve and Remi's like "what" and she goes "you kissed me" "ik" Remus says plainly. "I've never been kissed before" reader whispers while looking down, ashamed. Remus feels bad so he takes her by her shoulders, tilts her chin up, and kisses her again. Properly.

“I cannot believe you just said that.” You deadpanned, staring at Remus with a fiery glint in your eye as he watched you very clearly try to fight off a smile. 

“Why would I not say it?” Remus asked incredulously as you repositioned yourself on the sofa to angle your body towards him for better arguing.

“Because it’s so incredibly wrong.”

“Well now that’s ignorant.”

You scoffed disbelievingly at him. “You did not just call me ignorant.”

“Nope, wrong again.” He laughed. “I said your statement was ignorant.”

“In what sodding world did Amy and Laurie make any sense?” You asked then, slapping your hand against your knee to punctuate your question.

“Uhm, this one? Obviously, that’s why it’s canon.”

You pursed your lips as if you were restraining yourself from bodily launching yourself at Remus; he really wished you wouldn’t.

“Author’s don’t get it right all of the time.” You said instead of telling Remus to go fuck himself. 

“I don’t think that’s true; this book has become a classic for a reason. Louisa May Alcott didn’t write these things by accident, there was intention and purpose behind these characters and their choices.”

“Yes, and the purpose was to drive readers mad!” You nearly screeched.

“Or perhaps it was to illustrate to young women that they don’t need to settle for their childhood friend.” He countered. 

“It wasn’t settling! She loved him back!” 

Remus couldn’t help but smile then; between your passion, how cute you looked when you were wound up, and the fact that you were screaming about love made his own heart beat in double time. 

“You’re sodding laughing at me.” You narrated with a disbelieving head shake, clearly misinterpreting Remus’ lovesick expression for humour. “Remus Lupin! Stop laughing at me!” You shouted playfully, landing a few good whacks on his arm with the book as he pretended to shield himself from you. 

“Okay, so not only do you have horrid takes on classic literature, but you also use classic literature to assault people? What has the world come to?” Remus teased as you continued your attack. 

“You. Are. Infuriating!” You spat, punctuating each word with a whack as you moved to stand on your knees for better access to Remus.

Better access indeed he decided as he quickly grabbed your wrists, rendering your weapon utterly useless as it hung limp in your hand.

“I’m infuriating, am I?” He asked you quietly.

“Exhausting.” You agreed, matching his volume.

“Exhausting?”

“Troublesome.”

“Is that so?” 

“And completely unromantic! I mean, how could-”

But he never got to hear what your next argument was about how perfect Laurie and Jo would have been together before he quickly slotted his lips against yours.

For how energetic the conversation had been, the kiss was decidedly not; it was soft, gentle, tentative, and Remus only hoped you couldn’t read him like a book for how utterly in love he was with you. 

And entirely too soon was Remus pulling away from your face, still holding your wrists as he looked between your eyes.

“You…kissed me.” You whispered; the statement sounding nearly like a question as you looked at Remus with a mixture of shock and bemusement. 

Remus felt his stomach drop; was he not supposed to? He should have asked first; fucking arse. Had he read this all wrong; were you not into him like that? Had he been projecting his own feelings onto you, merely expecting you to reciprocate feelings he’d never properly expressed? 

“Yes…I- was that not okay?”

“I…I’ve never been kissed before…” You admitted quietly, arms falling limp in Remus’ hands as he loosened his grip. 

“Oh dove, I’m sorry. I- did…you want to be kissed?” He asked, leaving out the ‘by me?’ 

You looked surprised at his question; the corner of your mouth turning upwards as you examined Remus' face. He hoped to Godric his cheeks weren’t as red as they felt. 

“Very much so.” You whispered.

Feeling hopefully brave by the way your fingers were fiddling with the cuff of his sleeve and the way your eyes were fixed on his lips, he moved his hands to your waist and encouraged you to straddle his lap. You positioned yourself immediately, as if being in his lap was the most natural thing in the world, watching as his hands trailed up to your shoulders and down your arms, guiding your hands to rest on his shoulders. 

“Yeah?” He asked under his breath. 

“Please.” You whispered back.

“Oh pretty girl,” he cooed; pushing a lock of hair behind your ear before hooking a finger under your chin to pull your lips towards his. “It’d be my absolute pleasure.”

For those not caught up on my stories, spoilers below...

Yes! Gabriel and Isidora were going to move to Selva and he was going to become a cop there and unfortunately would die there in what was a random shootout. Of course Isidora moves back to Simerica to escape the grief and raises Marisol and Ines basically on her own. This is why we see her in that little trailer home. All this moving and such has disrupted her fizzing business to the point where it just didn't work out exactly for her but it does enough for her to give her daughters a decent life and Ines a decent start to her life as we saw.

The EAA, well...hmm, in my Legacies I think of them like universes. There are groups that persist throughout that are good and bad. The EAA is one of those groups that just persist. It is very much the same EAA but what happened to Karver (its then leader) and why its being led by plantsims has yet to be revealed. The long term play here was always that there was a plantsim leading the organization from the start but I never did get the legacy far enough to show it.

There is now crossover now too as the EAA feature in all of the heirs currently. You have Ike (now plantsim) stalking Myitzu and you have the plantsims dealing with Julius and of course the connection to Isidora, Ines mother, so I won't speak too much on them but the current Julius episode will deal more with plantsims!

As for Veronica and Gabriel and more of the side characters in Isidora's story...Isidora had a split with Gabriel's family because they figure him being killed was partly her fault. The whole crime thing is a lot more complex (in my mind) than what I've shown but there are criminal organizations always fighting for power and Alonso is one of them (as we'll see very soon actually) and Gab's family blames Isidora since she was associated with all of that stuff at one point, being a potential mob wife if you will...and as you pointed out it's irony that it seems this is now the path Ines is taking. A big reason we don't see much of Alonso's crime stuff is because we read it through Ines POV and in her mind Alonso's not a bad guy, as she even clearly said in a recent post...I think...I hope I didn't spoil a future post lol but it's been clear that Alonso keeps that stuff away from her and she doesn't want to think about it.

Isidora's story is not yet finished though! There will be more closure with her and Gabriel!

so thanks to hboMAX my pretty little liars obsession has started up again and when i watched pll the first time all the way thru (yes sadly it’s been more than once i have a life but also don’t) my favorite character was alison. as i’ve watched it more it changed (emily or spencer is prob my fav now) but going through tumblr, instagram, and even pinterest, i feel alison gets too much shit/hate from the fandom. so here i am, making a justification for her. if you really don’t want to see my side or pov then just keep scrolling because i don’t really want to see negativity in the comments (unless you’ll actually say something, a rebuttal?)

so let’s start off with alison being a small child and her household/family. we know how her parents would manipulate her and tell her lying is better than telling the truth. she’s had these really bad influences on her at such a young age (with secrets overflowing her house) and when you continue to have these influences on you as you’re mind is maturing, of course you’re going to eventually go through with them. now yes i know the other girls also had lying parents but were any of them as bad as alisons? i mean some things spencer’s parents kept and arias but they were also older at that point (middle of high school and up). i’m not saying it’s okay but they knew at that point in their life what’s wrong and right and for the most part they had been raised to not lie. alison wasn’t. eventually her lies caught up to her as well so even though she learned the hard way to tell the truth, she eventually did.

now we’re getting into the high school stage where there were MANY points as to why she would’ve ran away. if the writers wanted a better redemption arc for her i feel they would’ve shown her a little more broken in some scenes and such but anyways. freshman year isn’t absolute hell but it’s not fun either. having the mindset of making sure you’re not the one who will get hurt obviously forces you to have this wall and makes you a lot more mean than you really are. (i really feel this was a wasted potential by the writers not going more in depth about her mental pain but shit they didn’t do it with anyone tbh). her whole life kinda had build ups to her being so secretive and closed away (again if the writers went into more depth on this we would’ve seen maybe some trauma that causes her to be closed off and push everyone away. not wanting to show weaknesses) from everyone so it definitely wasn’t hard for her to find that bitchier side and let it off on everyone, not that it’s right, it just made her feel safe and protected. a main factor of this was probably being closeted. i myself am a bisexual girl so i know how it feels to question yourself the way she most likely did. it’s scary. really fucking scary. because you don’t know if there’s something wrong with you at first or if it’s just a stage and you’ll most likely pass it. it’s why i believe her relationship with emily was why she had no big deal leaving rosewood. yes we know she was being tormented by A before the girls were and she wanted to leave so she could be safe. but even with that there would need to be some other factors that kicked in to her actually leaving. A in the beginning for JUST alison was kinda like a bully right? i mean a little more extreme than that but it wasn’t as bad as it was when it started hitting with the other 4 girls. so if alison THE alison dilaurentis was being bullied by someone too scared to show who they really are, wouldn’t she just laugh some of it off? alison WANTED to leave before mona gave her the option. she was scared. and not just of A, but of who she was. and who she loves.

if we’re looking at what alison does for emily versus the other girls while they’re being tormented by A, you can tell she cares for her more. she saved emily more than anyone else. she said leaving emily was the hardest part of it all. because alison was in love with emily, just like emily was in love with her back. obviously running away and faking your death isn’t the best option for having internal panics, some people just don’t know how to manage it. especially being the bold person everyone sees and talks about. imagine seeing her walk out of some therapy session teary-eyed. she’d feel so weak in that moment, so vulnerable. isn’t that one of her biggest fears? people seeing she’s not as strong as she comes off to be and they can use that against her. her fear for being vulnerable also brings me to her being SO scared coming back to school after faking her death. ali, the queen bee, is terrified. this kinda brings to me childhood pain (personally this is why i thought of it lol rip). maybe her family thought showing emotions was weakness you know? and when you open up they kinda laugh at you and they’re like “you think you’re life is hard?? you’re a kid.” (i’m sure i’m not the only person who’s heard this mf bullshit bedore). where i’m going with that though, is it could’ve been placed in her head at a very young age (also this is so dehumanizing and traumatic damn but it makes sense) that you have to shut out all feelings and emotions. it really makes people numb and being emotionally numb as a child and teen is dangerous for brain growth and development. makes sense why it took her forever to feel safe and okay opening up to emily about her feelings and showing emotions around the girls. when you’re seen as this “bitch” who doesn’t make down from a fight, it forces you to turn emotionless.

so the way she acted out the night she went missing and her freshman year wasn’t ideal and it really wasn’t okay. but the audience never saw what she was going through mentally, hell even after that. we see it a little when she comes back and talks about the night she went missing. imagine your own mother burrying you alive. god the trauma that must STILL have on her. being under pounds of dirts, unable to move or talk. your own mother doing this to you to save someone else. i’m not trying to put it as she’s only been through things and no one else has cus of course that’s not the case. i just think people often dismiss her pain and trauma and just say “she’s a bad person and deserves the shit she’s been through.”

i’d also like to add her type of crowd she was around wasn’t the best sort of people. imagining being a freshman and hanging out with college kids who would throw some girl down a flight of stairs. i feel like that also had an impact on her mental health and what she believed was okay to an extent because i mean verbally bullying isn’t okay but at least sis never pushed someone down the stairs 😭 (worst thing she did is definitely blinding jenna. i really don’t know how to defend her actions for that one. you could say she didn’t know anyone was in there? or that she didn’t know she had- it was a firework right?)

last point i can think of: paige vs alison. of course i have to add this lol but my main point with this is both girls were mean to each other. did alison start it by calling her names and such? most definitely. do i think paige should’ve retaliated? to an extent. but she went as far as teaming up with others to have alison go to jail for a crime she didn’t commit. their revival wasn’t just one sided and again i think people often forget that. they’re continuously like going against each other at every chance they got. it was funny but also got annoying. ali would shit talk to paiges face then paige would go whine and cry about it to emily to turn emily on her side. i mean did we forget paige manipulated emily against alison? (yes ik alison was the manipulation queen when she was younger). really what i’m going with this is that they’re more alike than they’ll admit to an extent. me personally, i like alison and emison more. i never really liked paily but paige grew less annoying in later seasons. but when comparing them, i believe paige had more damage on emily than alison did. even when alison was ‘dead’ she still saved emily’s life at times (including the other 3 girls) and did things to protect them. i don’t remember paige saving emily just trying drowning her because she was a little jealous. another thing i know someone will try to bring up about them is how “alison was never happy for emily” well shit bro neither was paige 😭 i’m on season 7 right now and there were some times paige took a liking into stalking emily while she was dating that girl who worked in the cafe (sorry i can’t remember her name rn). and when emily talked about being with that girl she was kinda like 😐 k. alison is the type to speak or show her mind while paige seems to keep to herself then shit talk others behind their back. both qualities aren’t exactly the best so both ‘sides’ can go against each other for years on this. they’re just more alike than people realize.

SunaOsa is one of my all time favorite ships and this past month, there has been/was an exchange going on between writers (here is the link) and artists (separately) and because I don’t have a life (or maybe it’s just that SunaOsa is my life LOL), I’m here to tell you some of my favorite fics from the pile :D However, as much as I love a ship, sometimes fluff is too asajndajnd so mind you there will probably be a lot of good fics missing just cause I couldn’t get myself to read more fluff (or angst) LOL (IM SORRY but sometimes I also just can’t motivate myself to read a fic no matter how good it looks OOPS).

***glass stained black by unrequitedangst (E) 31k // Mafia AU’s are some of my favorite kinds of fics, and this one did not disappoint! The character development of Osamu is really legit and despite being mafia, it’s not that heavy or angst of a fic (but you should still definitely read tags and warnings first). It’s an Osamu heavy fic, and if you’re into reading him being stupid, go right ahead LOL.

redux by catalysis (T) 2.3k // ngl I hate break-up fics with a passion truely (when you can’t handle fluff or angst what to do) but I liked the concept for this one hehe (so I made myself suffer LOL). It was short, but cute !!! and the unspoken words really hit me in the FEELS (so what I’m dramatic fight me LOL).

Impropriety by DeathBelle (T) 5.7k // royalty~ I love the banter between them in this fic and we DO stan respectful Osamu yes we do <33333 The relationships between not only SunaOsa but SunaAtsu (because even though it isn’t really SunaAtsu best friend agenda, I can delude myself into think it is okay :/) are done so well and so nice he’s mean Osamu is best Osamu.

***what are you waiting for? by Slumber (T) 3.7k // MIGHT BE MY FAV FIC FROM THIS EXCHANGE!!! It made me cackle and I love how they learn new things about each other!!!! Like the development is so good and Suna is really doing the MOST!! Also, I love recursive endings AHHHHHH!

agape by sketchedsmiles (T) 11.7k // soulmates, then they were SOULMATES! (ik that’s not how it goes but pls just humor me LOL) This fic really depicted Osamu’s insecurities/internal turmoil/overthinking really well and the realization he has vs Suna’s AHJAFKASFJ. I love confident Suna.

fireside by tartaglia (starkartifices) (T) 3.6k // we do love the subtle flirt flirt don’t we hehe ;) It’s short, it’s fluff, and it’s funny - what more could you ask for? Also whats a vigilante fic if there isn’t at least one pun about being a vigilante LOL.

Over and Over Again by tookumade (G) 6.4k // I would like to order one reassuring, reliable Miya Osamu for myself please and thank you :((( The way the relationship is so GOOD like both Suna and Osamu pick each other up and they know the other has their back ajfhkajdfl. I would purchase all the onigiri with the deal Suna was proposing ;) Onigirintarou.

from here to eternity by TheGlovedArtist (T) 6.6k // I for one am a big fan of mythology and stuff (heroes of olympus but like IDR any of the plot LOL) so of course I read this fic. The snark appearances of Sakusa and Komori gave me LIFE and the difference in descriptions from Astumu and Kita cracked me up. This is another respectful Osamu fic (yes I love these) and in this one it was a ‘I save you as much as you save me’ type beat LOL. Gotta love rings.

***Subtle Inarizaki Dating by sifuhotman (T) 15.2k // THIS ONE. Even if you don’t read the whole thing, I beg of you, please, I AM ON MY KNEES, read the SID for Astumu. It is worth the loss of all your brain calls I guarantee it. It made me giggle so freakin much. Suna might be an A-Hole but he’s OUR A-Hole <3

Forever Begins with 8 Seconds by subtlehues (T) 3.9k // FLUFF hehe, I love their dynamic in this one it’s very good and cute and everything great! Also, I am all for the head cannon that Suna cannot cook, yes pls. Also SUPERPOWERS whooooooooh.

I love this concept of them just being like ‘WTF’ everyday, it gives me life. Also, count how many soulmate AU’s you recognized because I just thought about it and I think it’d be fun LOL. (I went back and I think 11 but I’m not sure LOL)

let us burn by SilverMoonT (G) 13.5k // I am always up for a nice vampire Osamu and witch Suna (which believe it or not, is my second one because I read the other one by this writer LOL) This one is more Suna POV and it really goes into his fears and desires, and I like the way Osamu pushes him to live more freely.

***reasons to microwave an elixir by spiritscript (T) 8.2k // THIS ONE. UGH I love, and it’s funny and cute and it EVEN HAS CRIME (kinda not really but yes)! I love the quiet moments they have and the PET AHHHHHHH! We love medic Osamu :DDDDD But also the betrayal and the sparring (and the irony at the end LOL) AJSKJNFK.

we fall between by stringendos (T) 14.7k // honestly the entire time I was just screaming at my computer, begging for them to hurry up and realize, but alas this is a ~slow burn~ for a reason and the tag ‘exes who act like theyre married’ really is the reason I read it and I do not regret LOL. Also bless Matsuda and stan her.

All the Time in the World by minie_ai (M) 8.8k // we love immortality! Denial! And Suna mentally filing away blackmail against people (namely Astumu) LOL. Running away from your problems is always the answer (I am saying this is a not sarcastic manner because I too, run away from my problems LOL) but ramen is ALWAYS a good answer. We love ourselves some emotional constipation LOL.

***none but you by broikawa (T) 7.2k // everything is a competition always LOL, not that I’m complainin but still LOL EVERYTHING. I really love this one because I love the progression and cock-block SakuAtsu hehe. I love them being synchronized idiots <3

it all comes back to you, (my home) by iritaescents (T) 4.5k // FOREVER, WE STAN FOREVER. Anyway, LOL this was is very very cute and fluff and not slow burn, it fast burn LOL. It’s a cute fic to read and it even has our favorite, now say it with me SOULMATES LOL.

Can't help falling in bed with you by tirralirra (T) 6.7k // here we see a 5 + 1 with points for the title (I think it’s very funny LOL my humor is bad ;)) Not that it really needs extra points because it’s a great fic in itself LOL but I really liked the title so I felt the need to share this with you all (OOPS). This was so cute, and the + 1 is HILARIOUS.

***sunagashi by bastigod (T) 9.8k // if there’s anything I like more than mythology, it’s folklore LOL. I love this fic and the plot is written so artfully AHDSAJN. Also the scene with the Ume-chan and her comment (so snarky I love). Also they way I went through so much trouble trying to figure out the kanji LOL (SPOILER it’s miyarin hehe)

catch me (while i'm still runnin') by lunarins (T) 4.3k // first and foremost, may we have a moment of silence for Komori and his eyebrows..... Continuing, this fic was so good because I love a good heist hehe. Their slight of hand abilities really doing the most LOL, and the ending OMG. I love the way the writer added in how they appeared to others during the heist, it really made it so good! Ugh to have a painting class and almost die LOL.

***if we get this right by Slumber (G) 5k // OLD FRIEND plsplspls I love this fic and I love how Osamu slowly relearns who he knew Suna as AHHH. The ending, again UGH, I really loved it and their banter with one another.

The Study of Suna Rintarou by DeathBelle (T) 6.1k // PLEASE the way Osamu kept getting offended omg. But also the effort Suna puts into getting to know Osamu, I was in ~love~. Read to me Osamu, READ TO ME. But also the Osamu is an oblivious MF agenda is alive and well within this fic hehe.

Take a Hint by pancake_surprise (G) 2.3k // ok so I had just read a tumbr post about the one bed thing and then I saw this fic. It was like the stars aligned okay? I was like, ig I HAVE to read it now hehe. But seriously read it, it’s cute and like everything else, of course there’s a challenge to be made LOL.

Heatwave by pancake_surprise (G) 2.1k // the way they were dating without knowing they were dating man. The tag ‘Didn't Know They Were Dating‘ more accurate than the ‘first dates’ one LOL jk but actually tho am I kidding? It’s the first official one IG. Also slightly changed, hope it doesn’t affect the story too much - though this is platonic as hell 😅 I can write a part 2 (or more) which will probably be more romantic and focused on Fei and Shal if you want, so just tell me 😄

Picture-perfect - Feitan x Reader x Shalnark

   “Fei, is that a new Trevor Brown book?” Shalnark asked as he eyed his friend, who spared him a glance.

   “No.” Shalnark plopped down, having noticed that the cover was different – no writing whatsoever: no title, author’s name or anything else. There wasn’t anything that special about it at first glance – it looked like any other book. But there was just something about it.

   “Is it one of boss’ books?”

   “No. Mine.” Shalnark pouted, looking more attentively at the book. What sort of book could be so interesting? He could feel Aura clinging onto the book – faint, but still there.

   “Did you feel the Aura?” Feitan glanced at him, nodding. That’s why he was looking through the book – maybe there was some sort of a hint as to what made it so special. Had the author created it with so much love, care and intensity that some of their Aura was left as part of it? So far, there was nothing. No writing on the sides, notes or anything left between the pages.

   “Did you try using Nen on it? Maybe it’ll do something.” Feitan did just that, but still, nothing happened. He didn’t even know in what language the book was; though he could still read the words, but without understanding them. He’d snatched it up just because it seemed interesting and thought that maybe Chrollo would like it, but now it proved to be a mystery that he couldn’t let go of until he made sense of it.

   “I’ll take it to boss.” It wasn’t too hard to find him as he and Shalnark saw him seated on top of the chipped and cracked altar, reading, while the coloured light coming through the remaining stained glass provided some extra light besides the lit candles next to him. Hearing their footsteps, he looked up before his eyes zeroed in on the book in Feitan’s hand as he bookmarked his own book and paid attention to them.

   “Yes?”

   “I found a book. It’s in another language.”

   “And there’s Aura coming from it. It didn’t open when Feitan used Nen.” Feitan gave Chrollo the book, who studied it curiously, looking through the pages himself. Sure enough, the language made no sense, though it could still be read, but not understood, and there was nothing else to indicate the subject of the book, such as illustrations.

   “Have you tried reading aloud from it?” They both shook their heads. Trying to get at least an idea of how to read at least the first sentence, Chrollo’s voice soon broke the silence. Nothing happened. He furrowed his eyebrows before looking over the next few sentences. “Let me try something.” Feitan and Shalnark both nodded as they awaited whatever Chrollo had thought of doing, hoping something might happen.

   Reading from the beginning, Chrollo slowly used his Nen at the same time as the words he’d spoken, foreign on his tongue and in his eyes, started changing until they made sense. He stopped when the first few sentences seemed to remain translated, curious about the book even more.

   “What I just read got translated while the rest are still foreign.” He turned the open book towards the two men, but their eyebrows furrowed before they looked at Chrollo.

   “It hasn’t changed for us, it looks the same.” Shalnark pouted. Chrollo’s eyes widened a little before nodding, intrigued.

   “Can I have it back? I want to try.” Feitan said and despite Chrollo wanting to read more, he gave it back. Maybe he’d think a bit more about the book and its strange ability before going back to it. Until then, he’d get back to his own book.

   As Feitan and Shalnark returned to the previous room they had been staying in, they sat down, looking at the book with interest. Both of them started reading – Feitan in a lower voice – looking at the words they tried pronouncing and the way they changed right before their eyes. They both read the first chapter before stopping and reading what had gotten translated, still out loud and using Nen. The air and atmosphere seemed to shift, as if there was static around them. Shalnark looked around. Nothing seemed to be out of place or changing, except for the weather outside. A storm seemed to be approaching. He watched the sky every few seconds as they both continued reading.

   “Fei, the weather’s changing.” He saw the smaller Spider nod, eyes quickly glancing at the sky before going back to the book. As soon as they both finished reading the translated chapter, there was a loud noise from above.

   At first, they thought it was the sound of thunder, but with the bits of the crumbling ceiling falling in front of them, they both realised that something had hit the old church, right above them. Feitan shut the book and the two men got up, quickly leaving the room. Chrollo himself had gotten up, as did a few other Spiders, all of the present ones looking upwards, as if waiting for something else to happen.

   “What was that?” Shizuku asked.

   “Thunder? Maybe lightning struck?” Pakunoda suggested, though even she doubted that had happened. Ready for an attack, they all went upstairs, where some of the private rooms were situated. Going directly to the one above where Feitan and Shalnark were, the Phantom Troupe were shocked to see a wide hole in the roof. Rain was pouring in and right underneath was a person, who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Wide, frightened eyes looked from one Spider to another, while you tried getting away from them, seeing as they were ready to attack at any moment.

   “They’re from the book.” Feitan said. He was amazed by the fact that you almost looked the way he had imagined you to. Everyone looked at him bewildered.

   “They’re one of the characters from Feitan’s book.” Shalnark added, as if it made any more sense than what Feitan had just said. They all looked at the newcomer again. You didn’t seem like a threat and they could sense no Aura or Nen coming from you.

   “Let’s all calm down, okay? They seem scared.” Pakunoda suggested as she let her conjured gun disappear. The others slowly followed her example, still on guard.

   “Who are you? Where am I?” Your voice wavered, scared out of your mind. One moment, you were in your garden, and now, you were in some dark, decrepit room, with the only exit blocked by a bunch of strangers who seemed ready to kill in the blink of an eye.

   “Easy there. We’re not going to hurt you.” Shalnark said as he smiled, hands raised in surrender. “What’s your name?” He already knew, but he wanted the others to know as well.

   “(Y/N).” You answered, still wary. A shiver ran through you, though you were unsure if it was out of fear or because of the rain that had poured over you before you moved into the corner of the room.

   “(Y/N), how about you come downstairs with us then? It’s cold here and it’s raining, we wouldn’t want you to get sick. We can also get some food for you if you’re hungry.” Chrollo asked, intrigued and interested in what would happen next. They were all curious, but not all of them were too keen on being so friendly with a stranger. Who knew what you were capable of?

   “We won’t hurt you.” Pakunoda added. You eyed each one of them for a few seconds, weighing your options.

   There really wasn’t much you could do: you were in a foreign place, surrounded by strangers and had no way to defend yourself. You slowly left the corner of the room, sidestepping the puddle and debris on the floor before standing in front of them. Chrollo took off his coat, putting it over your shoulders and you hugged it tightly over your body, thanking him before they led the way downstairs. You looked around, noticing the abandoned and decaying state of the building you found yourself in and wondering what they could be doing there.

   As soon as you reached the nave, you were guided to one of the remaining pews, sitting down while the others sat around you, not too close, not too far. You felt like an exhibit – being looked at from all sides with curiosity. After finding out all of their names, you were asked about where you had come from, what did you feel when you were spirited away, if you had any powers. The questioning continued and while you answered them all to the best of your abilities, it was clear that you were bewildered and shocked about what had happened to you. But you had questions of your own.

   “How did I get here?” Feitan wordlessly gave you the book, which you opened. You immediately felt your eyes widen in shock. The words perfectly described you, doing exactly what you had been doing before you woke up in this strange world.

   “Do you understand the language?” Chrollo asked you. You only nodded, flipping the pages. It was like reading about your future, your life. Whatever you said or did, written black on white. It was both interesting and terrifying.

   “We brought you here.” You looked at Shalnark, eyes wide. You felt a mix of emotions, though the main fight was between anger and despair.

   “Why would you do that?” You almost felt like sobbing. How were you supposed to get back? What if only they could get you back? But what would you do with the knowledge of having found out about your future actions and words? What if that changed the course of the book? Of your life? What if you could never return in the first place?

   “It was by accident!” He said, flustered and feeling somewhat sorry. He could understand that being thrown into an unknown world just like that was more than upsetting. You continued looking down at the book, thoughts and heart racing.

   “No more crying. Move on.” You looked up and towards the voice, spotting the smaller man who looked at you with a blank face, well you thought at least, since it was half covered.

   “What?” Maybe you’d heard him wrong.

   “Move on. Make the best of your situation.” You knew he was right. But you were still in a state of shock over everything that had happened to you.

   “Feitan is right. Right now, you should eat something and rest. We’ll talk more afterwards.” Chrollo said. Pakunoda nodded and you lied down, soon hearing those present scatter around. All except for a few.

   “Me and Feitan will keep watch.” Shalnark proposed and Chrollo nodded.

   “Then I’d like to examine the book a little more.” The book was soon in his hands and he was once again back on the altar, muttering quietly to himself as he read the foreign part before reading what was translated, careful not to summon something else.

   The tiredness that came with the shock of suddenly finding yourself in another world made you fall asleep quickly. You hoped that when you’d wake up, you’d be back in your world and this would all just be a crazy dream.

   “What do you think?” Shalnark asked quietly. He fiddled with his phone, taking a photo of you. You were cute when you were sleeping, though he still felt a little guilty.

   “Hm, weird. I wonder who the author was.” Feitan answered and Shalnark nodded. Was it part of the author’s Nen? Would you be able to return? Or would you be trapped here? Whatever it was, the two felt responsible for you, in one way or another. Maybe you’d be valuable. Maybe they’d discovered something big. Maybe even more important than the Dark Continent. But they were also interested in knowing more about you and your world. Maybe when you’d wake up, you’d be willing to answer more of their questions.

tiny pansy rant, cut short so it’s *hopefully* not too long:

i. wanted. to. see. her. change! and in my opinion the reason she never got the chance was because jkr used her character to make fun of people she disliked :/

pretty much all the other noteable slytherins had some sort of redemption arc,, and yeah they’re still mostly problematic people but they got chances: snape, draco, narcissa, regulus, slughorn, leta and technically andromeda? you get the point i just—

like miss ma’am decided to make pansy,, the like slytherin stereotype? and have her want to betray harry? she was seventeen ffs, not bellatrix lestrange. she was in the middle of a war? in my personal opinion i don’t think that she wanted to hand harry over out of cruelty like. it’s possible? but maybe she was just scared? also don’t we know that pansy was terrified at the thought of like. voldemort coming to hogwarts? again: everyone expects all of the children in harry potter to be these selfless brave individuals,, they’re kids :( yes ik it’s ya fantasy but cmon. they were supposed to be stressed about the N.E.W.T exams not the upheaval of their society?

and don’t get me wrong i know that she was. not a good person. she was a bitchy teenage bully who was taught hateful views. but i wanted to see her change even a little– even draco marries someone who presumably teaches him how to treat people equally? like. there was so much room for change: she was a prefect, she was capable of some kindness seeing as she liked draco, or alternatively, we could’ve seen her break away from draco and potentially stop hating harry/all his friends quite so much or develop her own opinions. or maybe her group of friends that she used for validation throughout her school years was uprooted during the war and she had to learn that independency? or her pointing out harry could’ve been turned into trying to be selfless, like she thought they’d be safe that way, or she returned later fighting with reinforcements to show she was on Hogwarts’ side. jkr is always like "well they technically came back to fight, if you squint » but that’s not enough. also? let’s say we did get a glimpse of her during the actual battle: there could’ve been anything, the smallest scene, that showed some sort of support or reconciliation or something between her and hermione, considering how hermione was often pansy’s target. everybody wants to see forgiveness between draco and harry because of minor events/details (i dislike drarry but that’s besides the point), but imagine what could’ve changed with some semblance of apology or assistance from pansy to hermione. there were so many chances for r*wling to give her a smallest redemption

but instead we got her characterized as evil and a stupid, cowardly traitor. she the only person we ever see her care for marries her friends younger sister. she’s the written depiction of jkr’s bitterness and her arc is jkr’s vengeance.

also, another reason that i’m so mad she got nothing is because of the whole slytherin=evil thing. she’s made into a stereotype of a “slytherin”— cruel, selfish, shallow, ugly, and asinine. (also i could rant about slytherin forever, but can we just mention that jkr consistently refers to slytherins as physically ugly and just how fucked up that is? i– wtf). but anyway: to give pansy a chance to change is to give the slytherin house a chance to change its reputation. trying to justify that the slytherin house got its redemption because of the actions of ppl like snape or regulus, etc isn’t possible. because all of those “slytherin heroes” were described again and again as being “different from all the other slytherins”. they set themselves apart by being decent. they weren’t normal slytherins, no, they were set apart, they were brave and smart and kind— not evil. there’s no redemption to be found there. i wish jkr would just fucking say that being sorted into slytherin was being made into a villain. she dodged around it with rhetorical questions and pointing out how not All of them are bad,, and then will go on to mock the other slytherins and talk about how the heroes were Not Like The Other Snakes... again: there’s no redemption of slytherin as a house, as a quality, as a concept there. it’s just the redemption of an individual.

in pansy, however, we could’ve found so much more. like i said, she’s The Average Slytherin: not a hero, not a villain like voldemort. she’s made out to be a depiction of the typical slytherin student, one without a “destiny”, so to speak. and so to give her the chance, to see her change, to have her redefine herself? that would be a starting point for restoring slytherin as a whole (obviously not the best way, and the real best thing to do would be not to make an entire house be the bad guys in the first place, but–) to have someone who’s the figurehead of slytherin (like actually a figurehead,, girl is a even a prefect) show remorse and growth gives the entire house the seed of redemption. it would mean that after over a thousand years there could be peace between the houses. obviously not the only factor in reconciliation but still so important.

and not to just continue to heap on my own issues with it, but look. i know that there are so many other ways to introduce “mundane” antagonists without making them a symbol of anything. pansy could’ve been a bitch without representing slytherin. also pansy doesn’t have to break character and become kind for amends to be made. they don’t even have to be fully made, just started. but jkr chose to:

a.) go with bullying as a minor antagonistic element

b.) create and develop a character around that theme

c.) make this character only based on her own negative personal experiences

d.) turn that character into a representation of a much larger group of people

e.) deny that character any final moment that could begin to make amends for her actions and instead, chooses to make her “defining” moment an act of evil and cowardice

f.) either neglects the character or chooses plot points that would humiliate the character in all the glimpses of the future we are shown (ex. how dracos marriage is)

g.) openly mocks and insults the character repeatedly and never directly comes out and proves she didn’t write slytherins as evil

h.) to the best of my knowledge, ignores that pansy personifing slytherin, whether intentionally or unintentionally, and then characterizing both as “bad” and not giving them a chance to grow, is a summary of her thoughts on slytherin ls and is a possible interpretation of the text (i mean her opinions are already TRASH)

i. ignores the consequences of this or the possible effect it has on her entire fanbase and doesn’t seek to remedy it

but yeah, jkr, it was such a good idea to base a character off of your loathesone memories, take your anger out on her, and that choose to have that character partially represent a large percentage of your fanbase. thank you sooooo much. i really appreciate it!

summary:

I. Pansy— deserved an opportunity to have some character development. everyone else’s mistakes get overlooked to some degree save hers. had so many places to draw inspiration/opportunity from. could’ve progressed other ideas in the book and the analysis of her house while still remaining a “dislikable” character

II. Writing— from a “technical?” aspect, Pansy is underdeveloped and stagnant, used for personal reasons instead of as a plot device. perpetuates the slytherin=bad idea via a sloppy and repetitive characterization and emblem. there are ways around this that weren’t used.

III. I have no qualifications to be saying any of this lmao. Am I reading to much into it, knowing that Rowling tends to be shitty with writing details? Am I being dramatic and repetitive? probably!

IV. Fuck JKR (for everything. she’s an awful person)

this is everything, you're completely right. i don't have much to add but i agree all the way. and people give pansy so much shit for the harry thing but she seemed genuinely scared of voldemort coming back and i really think that she believed he would leave them alone if they gave him up. from her perspective, it's either her and the people she cares about get to live or this guy that she not only isn't close to but probably sees as the bad guy considering she dated/was best friends with draco and witnessed their rivalry from his side. did she make the best decisions? no, not at all but i see her reasons and i don't think it makes her this antichrist that jkr makes her out to be. she pulled the “he's just a boy” with draco and had people sympathise with him when he did so so much worse than pansy did so why doesn't that apply to her? she's a kid. they all are. i love harry, ron, and hermione SO MUCH but jkr really said fuck everyone who isn't them ─ especially any girl who isn't her precious hermione. she projected her own pettiness onto fictional characters who are CHILDREN and proceeded to get upset when people connected to and loved other people that she herself made. creating such an underdeveloped character and expecting people to hate her just because she imagined her as her bully is beyond immature and ridiculous. anyways. jkr take a fucking chill pill and leave my girl alone.

Like yes, Craig beats ppl up and is pretty violent, but he is also PASSIVE as fuck, and wants to avoid conflict. and did you ever think about why Craig is violent and flips people off and is non-respecting to teachers (he has authority issues; so do I, and this normally comes from ✨bad parenting✨)! while Craig definitely has some of the better parents in South Park (imo) his family is still shown as pretty dysfunctional? lots of yelling, flipping each other off, Thomas being happy to hear Craig got into a fight? anyways he is a bully, no doubt about it (although most of these kids are assholes ~ they are 10!) he has also shown to be caring, and loyal to his friends. I think it’s a deleted scene but when Kyle punches Clyde, he joins in the fight because he is loyal to his friend! when Ike goes missing, CRAIG offers to help, when Jimmy wants to go up against Cartman in fishsticks, he tells him to just let it go because he thinks he will be better off that way, when Token is using Kyle/Cartman to make a reality TV show knock off of honey boo boo, he tells Token that he should tell Kyle the truth! When Kenny gets kicked out of the news show group, he lets him be a part of wide lens animals! while he did tie butters to a pole, he also has been shown to spend a lot of time with butters !!! (They even teamed up to beat up mark, and also want tie him to a pole!) all these kids are assholes, every single one. Craig is just MORE violent (as are Cartman and Kyle - Kyle who is somehow, also treated as an uwu female???) anyways another point, as fun as the “I hate everyone but you” trope can be, like, bro, Craig has shown to be helpful and kind and friendly to other kids, as well as Tweek... like he is not just nice to Tweek... he just likes to come off as cool, but he is just a nerd, and does care about other ppl even tho he can be an asshole.
