#not confident about the ground floor other than the kitchen and bathroom are next to each other cause plumbing #there might be a small window in bedroom 1 ground floor cause the wall seems to not be blocked on the outside #yea bedroom 2 ground floor is noisy af cause street lvl windows and double staircase foot traffic lol #originally I was going to shove the bathroom under the staircase lol #yeah so idk where to put the attic staircase #also the attic interior is way too long to fit in the roof #unless the attic is the mf tardis #anyway do not hold me to this lol #lmao updated commentary ->#changed up the layout based on new info and some comments I got on the first/rough version #it's still not 1:1 to the canon designs but I've tried to place things in a way that make sense and fit into the building (sorta)#the interior only makes sense if the building was way bigger than it's depicted as #also I wanted to put the attic access in the closet but it didn't fit right #been treating the windows on the side of the building fast and loose cause man idk I don't get paid to do this #the only way it makes sense that there's light coming through from both the back and front windows is if there's an open enough space behind #maybe the building behind 221b is like.. long and narrow. or L shaped or something idk #still don't know how I feel about the main and attic stairs placement and layout but they work(?)#reference #ref

I just remembered! That my dream was helpful enough to give me something neat for Alerik! My dream overall was really messy but one scenario in it was about this group of friends where one of them has the power to summon gods so long as he knows their name or appearance. So then, one of his friends was like: "What if we summon Alerik?" and the guy was like: "We don't know his true name, that's just one of his many names."

And then another friend was like: "What about appearance then? We know what she looks like." and then another friend answered that one instead like: "No, his appearance changes with our perception, we don't know what they actually look like." And then my dream changed during then but that's a really! neat thing to add to Alerik! I'm doing it!

I already have some base but it's going to take a while to fully rework and remake this entire thing. The thing's rooted deep and I need to do a lot of research.

okay i just got a fun idea for a pokemon line based on a cube mammoth post i saw but cant find now

a sort of caterpie metapod butterfree type concept except its w a fossil.

option A: the first form is an ancient looking animal, maybe its like an ancient mammal or a dinosaur, or if u wanna keep the bug concept its an ancient looking buggie. the second stage is it being fossilized, as a "chrysalis", maybe stylized a bit to go w the concept, but could be done as a nonmoving poke like metapod with a rock fossil or a bit of amber (if going bug), or maybe you could take from the la brea tar pits and have em covered in goop. then of course last form is post fossilization, break em outta there. which would either be a cool skeleton fossil, or. well im not sure where to take it w the bug. ghost bug? rock bug? fuck dunno.

option B: its just a fuckin Rock at first. then you crack it open, and look fossil! a bit more work to free the fossil and u have a ROCK TYPE fossil pokemon

...B is a lil more boring but it was the initial idea so might as well include it.

this application also really wants me to have suffered btw. it's not a needs-based or hardship funding etc. at all but it keeps asking about challenges you've faced. absolutely salivating over the thought of the applicant being an orphan or an immigrant or a first gen uni student or below the poverty line. please tell us why your childhood trauma means you should be allowed to do bioscience research with no relation to any of it

#anyway. i cannot in good conscience be like yea my mum didn't go to uni and i got free school meals so that's why you should let me do a phd #bc those are listed as potential challenges but saying that would be fully insane and also really have had no impact on my life whatsoever #i hate this application so much that i would fully give up on this program if my references hadn't already sent them in
