If you don't mind me asking but when did you first get into re:zero

yeah i dont mind at all :o ig yallre gonna hear my full origin story now haah. its my—my… ok id say tragic backstory but i dont think this is really that tragic LMAO. my humorous backstory? silly backstory?

anyway i got into rezero in summer of 2020!! this was months before s2 started airing and by around this time there was just s1, s1 directors cut may or may not have been out?? i forgor :<, but then s2’s first teaser came out right about now.

it was quarantine…. i was bored one day and wanted smth new to watch… and by then id only really briefly seen rezero—like you know that s1 promo poster with subaru standing there while surrounded by some of the main girls in s1 (beatrice felt emilia rem ram)?? yeah id seen that. in the back of my mind i kinda assumed the show was just another one of those abt a dude surrounded by his harem of girls or smth?? :< but then i learned the Real Premise is the time travel. via death!!!! and ive always loveddd angst and whump so i was like “NO FUCKING WAY I HIT THE JACKPOT” and eagerly looked into rezero some more to see if it was worth watching. and then i saw all the shit reviews on rz that never seemed to agree on if it was good or not…… and then gigguk’s video…… and then i saw mother’s basement on youtube make a defense of rezero s1 and i was like!!! ok fuck it im watching this show. i want the angst i want the complex time travel shit. i think id spoiled myself on a couple of subarus deaths by this point trying to decide if i should commit to rezero and then i started binge watching s1!! esp when i was like ok this is a good time to get into it s2 was announced right??

anyway i got hooked on rezero fr 👍👍 the first s1 emisuba lap pillow had me quaking in my boots ;-;;; and i was already invested from ep1 bc i liked the characters a lot already!!! i am simply BUILT DIFFERENT i loved subaru from day one!!! by the royal selection episodes ofc i was dying of secondhand embarrassment but tbh i grew even more invested in rezero after that!! i was and still am super impressed that the narrative had the balls to have subaru fuck up sooo so so bad there. like seeing that emisuba argument and the julisuba duel for the first time was crazyyy. the conflict was really good and the latter s1 development…. woagh.

and then you know i finish s1 and i immediately get to researching how to read, i read arc 4’s wn and bawl my eyes out from the sheer amount of rollercoaster both the emotions and Long Ass Novel gave me (yes i was bawling my eyes out at parent and child) (yes i was bawling my eyes out at choose me) (yes i was bawling my eyes out for all the suffering loops) (yes i was bawling) (i have no clue how i read all those pages fr like that arc is massive), i speedrun arc 5, i accidentally spoil certain bits for myself (arc 6 stuff), i read most of arc 6 in spurts, tune in every week for s2 (and bawled my eyes out seeing the s2 part 1 op for the first time) etc etc!! one thing lead to another and now i am here…….. three yrs in this fandom… nearly (?) a yr being active on rezero tumblr… HAH

also i made a reddit account back inn…. 2020 or 2021 bc i wanted to be a tinyyy bit active in rezero reddit (this was half a mistake btw. i think i have more balls of steel now but my younger self was sooooo naive. shaking them by the shoulders. this is an anime fandom!!!!!! and this is reddit!!! whatre u expecting???? i am less shy now on the internet thats for sure!!). anyway im still a tiny bit active on rz reddit now after not touching it for like a year. now i use my reddit account for spreading otto propaganda and slander /lh …../hj

but anyway ive never been active in fandoms until rezero and thats bc id usually lurk and a lot of my past hyperfixation medias were :< big fandoms :<<< but then. ok im a fanfic enjoyer and i didnt write much fanfic or publish fic at all before this fandom but then in 2020 after watching s1 i checked rezero’s ao3 page and *sniffles* *sobs* thERE WAS ONLY LIKE 2 PAGES ON THERE MAN….. A WHOLE DESERT…. yes and then one thing lead to another and now there is more fic and also ig id be considered an english fic writer elder maybe…… i started posting in like fall/winter 2020? and maaaan im one of the only ppl from that era whos still posting i think!!! ive seen the entire english fanfic scene pop up!! ive participated in a bunch of community events… sooo wild to think about. i feel old guys!!!

but now i have gotten more and more active in the rz fandom yes :3 its been fun!! rezero is very important media to me and ive met lots of cool people in my time here :) when october 2024 rolls around itll be s3 time (AAAAA HYPE HYPE HYPE) and like four yrs of me being in this fandom?? its wild but my lifes genuinely changed a lot bc of me getting into rezero!! met lots of cool people… made pals… gotten my writing and art out there and improved on it via. large amounts of rezero fanart HAH.. became more unhinged.. etc etc :D even got to meet one of my buddies i met via rezero irl 👍👍 more irl crossover events will happen i swear.

also gigguk in my eyes redeemed himself for his old rezero skit vid by making a glowing review for rezero s2 with his pals. i can forgive him i suppose :<<<

in conclusion: idk if i count as a fandom elder but i sure have a lot of my own fandom lore pfft :<<<

⚔️ The Black Dragon isn’t a very good area to regress, but Kano’s office is decent!!

🫁 By that I mean he fixed up his office a bit, being able to easily hide his dangerous ‘big kid’ things

⚔️ Kabal mostly slips at home, but sometimes he slips at the Black Dragon Base

🫁 He gets a bit grumpy that he can't touch any of Kano's things, but doesn't push it because he doesn't want Kano to get upset at him

⚔️ It's the one of the few things Kano gets really upset at, since he doesn't want his baby holding anything dangerous (or his booze)

🫁 The rest of the Black Dragon isn't allowed to say anything bad about age regression (Kano and Kabal are a bit terrifying when they're big, and Kano gets super scary when Kabal runs to him teary eyed)

⚔️ No one hurts his baby.

🫁 I made a mention that before I knew who Kabal was, I called him “Keyblade Guy” because his weapons reminded me of Keyblades from Kingdom Hearts

⚔️ So! I like to think Kabal ‘plays’ Kingdom Hearts when he’s regressed <3

🫁 By play, I mean he’s not super into the stroy or lore, but look Dada! They fight with keys! It looks like his weapon!! :D

⚔️ He normally tries to only stick with the Kingdom Key (the main Sora one) but does think the others are pretty too

🫁 Kano praises him for winning boss fights, and has fought some for them (they were just too hard!!! . . . Even if he is playing on Beginner Mode 🥺)

⚔️ Kabal really likes putting bandaids on Kano, just for fun

🫁 Or stickers!!! He's gonna make Dada look all pretty >:)

⚔️ Kano doesn't mind, even if he has the entire disney princess cast on one arm and his actual tattoos on the other arm

🫁 Kabal would put stickers on himself, but sometimes they irritate his skin :(

⚔️ Little Kabal sometimes gets super fussy about his mask, he doesn't like it, he wants it off

🫁 He can take it off for a very short amount of time (an hour most, inspired by @autismoplayden ‘s post)

⚔️ Kano watches Kabal very carefully when he's without his mask, and persuades him to put it back on almost immediately when he notices Kabal struggling to breath or such (even the most tiniest wheeze, he's not taking chances)

🫁 Kabal gets a little fussy when he has to put it back on, but Kano promises him that he can get a bunch of cuddles or his favorite milkshake and he usually calms down a bit

⚔️ Kabal is very clingy when he's small, constantly clinging and hanging onto Kano (especially when he regresses young)

🫁 He could watch himself, or he could bother Dada enough to get him away from his work, only to decide that he wants to play alone now >:3

⚔️ ^ Kabal repeats this until Kano has enough and carries him to the couch for cuddles and tv

🫁 Other times, Kanos just clingy because he wants to he clingy <3

⚔️ Kabal has some long hair, not long enough to style, but long enough to brush!!

🫁 Kano has to be incredibly careful though, because the slightest pull can make Kabal cry (his skin can be really sensitive at times)

⚔️ Kanos a bad guy, but if Kabal and Stryker stay friends (and if we ignore canon <3) I don't exactly think he'd be against watching the both of them

🫁 He's a bit against Stryker at first, but he warms up pretty quickly, especially when Stryker regressed around him the first time (which was a complete accident)

⚔️ Plus, Stryker and Kabal get along really well when they're both small (and big) so he likes hearing his baby giggle

🫁 Kabal usually doesn't regress small enough for padding, but when he's in babyspace, he might need them

⚔️ Especially because he normally only slips that small when he's having bad memory days (although sometimes he does have more happier baby days)

🫁 Kabal gets super fussy about needing padding, but mostly when he's bigger, baby Kabal is pretty okay with it

⚔️ Kano tries really hard to squash any bad thoughts Kabal has about needing padding or regressing in general

🫁 His baby shouldn't be feeling all bad about things that help him, he he's not going to let Kabal drown in his thoughts alone

The Exarch of Death and Fawn-eating butterflies

“Fawn, wait!”

Arno strode out to a glade, disregarding the cries that the thick trees behind him had already muffled. The glade stretched endlessly, mirroring the boundless sky, its sweeping green expanse encircled by the forest, which from the horizon could easily be mistaken for dense shrubbery. Fighting the stiff grass, he slowed to a stop. Wide eyes took in the scenery taken aback by the waves of green dancing under the wind’s caress. For a moment, he stood completely still, breathless, mesmerized by the silent beauty and the world completely unknown to the human touch that unfolded under his feet. He took few tentative steps, sharp grass catching the ends of his long skirt, when suddenly a burst of color dispersed around him. A dozen butterflies erupted from the ground beneath, fluttering their colorful wings in a playful dance. Arno spun slowly as butterflies encircled him, following their lead as if thanking them for a warm welcome. The butterflies dipped and soared, brushing past his hands and hair, and Arno allowed to be swayed by the delicate wings, to be part of this joyful, fleeting world.

“Stay just like that.” The voice, soft yet authoritative, was much closer now.

Arno hadn't noticed when Orfeo has settled into the grass by the forest’s edge. He was back in his human form, red locks brushing teasingly against his bare collarbones.

“Do you even know what those creatures are?” he asked, his sharp white fangs visible.

Confusion painted Arno’s face. “They are butterflies, right? I’ve seen them in the village,” he said in uncertain tone, knitting his brows. Few butterflies had by then landed softly on his clothes and in his hair.

“Wrong!” Orfeo roared. “They are the spawn of the Exarch of Death, a creature lurking in the shadows of these woods, with a taste for human flesh. Why do you think this place is so devoid of human presence?” His expression was deadly serious, a finger raised toward the sky in emphasis. “Much like their creator, they hunger for blood. Their shimmering wings lure in prey, only to devour them completely, leaving not even the bones behind. A slow and painful death one can’t escape.” Orfeo retrieved a booklet, thumbing through it until he found a blank page. With a piece of graphite, he began sketching the outline of a figure - long hair and a skirt swirling in the wind, just like the person standing before him.

Arno bristled, standing frozen in place - a futile attempt at dissuading the flesh-eating creatures. Cold sweat trickled down his back as he watched the demon’s casual demeanor, unnerved by the calmness. He remained motionless, helpless under the weight of Orfeo’s piercing blue gaze, which silently demanded him to stay still. He bit his lip, his eyes darting frantically in search of an answer . “But what should I... How do I...” he stammered, his voice breaking between sobs. A single butterfly, nestled in the raven hair, crawled slowly toward his face. Black eyes, brimming with tears, desperately sought the demon’s unwavering gaze . “Please, help me,” he cried out his voice trembling with fear and helplessness. In that moment, Orfeo rose and approached the frightened Fawn. He towered over Arno, a gentle smile softening his features, tenderness pooling from his eyes. Arno blushed as the demon cupped his cheek, wiping away the tear that had slipped down. With his other hand, he grabbed the Fawn-eating butterfly from Arno’s hair. In an instant, it burst into flames, its wings never to flutter again. Arno stared, dazed, his breath slowly calming .

“There’s no need for those tears, Fawn,” Orfeo murmured with a smile. “They’re just ordinary butterflies.”

Harbinger Naegi/Harbinger Disciple Nagito/Harbinger Apostate Ryoma

This is my main swapped mastermind au, with Makoto being THH Nagito being GBD and Ryoma being NDRV3, the au starts with first off Izuru starts the tragedy by himself, Junko had plans for it but he did it first, so the timeline is a bit faster so the school has less chance to prepare, which leads to Makoto being sent outside into the tragedy for like 20 minutes to go grab something that got left behind, during this time he sees multiple deaths and locks eyes with Izuru, this spreads a seed of despair into Makoto.

That leads to him getting more and more upset about how they're locked inside with all this food and water and clean air but no one else gets this, so when he gets lucky and overhears Junko's plans, he usurps the killing game, thanos snaps her memory instead of kirigiri's. Desperate to prove himself and his friends of DESERVING of the gifts they were got by proving themselves able to not kill each other and thus good people, this immediately plunges into utter chaos when the first murder happens as Makoto is torn between his bitter despair and anger at injustice and his love and care for his friends. Chihiro must embrace the hope within themselves if they want a chance for this to end in any way that isnt pure tragedy.

Nagito watches this on tv and becomes OBSESSED with Makoto as Makoto has very much become the embodiment of how Nagito views the world, so they end up teaming up when Makoto does not in fact do the Junko suicide play and instead escapes, upon learning about the jabberwock island recovery plan, sabotages it by giving makoto a back door in, seeing the thing as pointless as it doesnt create hope or despair, what hope is there in just having your past mistakes and actions erased? what hope is it to just give a small apology and never have to think about what you did? theres no growth here! only ugly stagnation unworthy of hope and despair! Peko needs to fight for her right to simply exist.

Ryoma was a surprise for me but he made the most sense in this set up, he gets saved from suicide by Makoto and Nagito and borderline adopted, when makoto and nagito usurp tsumugis' killing game (long story and this is already so long) ryoma volunteers to be the next mastermind, unbeknownst to makoto and nagito, he has plans of his own, which should hopefully end all of these killing games for good. Kirumi however, wonders if good intentions can really make up for cruel actions.

SCP au has very little so far, but it's the idea of DICE as a faction of gamers against weed or AWCY from the SCP universe

This is one I am desperate to work on, basically it's the world of the anime Log Horizon (which is the best mmo isekai anime) and how through being a cheater in the game irl has resulted in upon getting isekai'd kokichi having powers that no one else has, and just generally about how I think the cast would change and adapt to this world

im just now realizing some of these notation marks are letters instead of numbers....X appears several times (that footnote is on page 107) but theres also like, LL (but if the first L was reversed)? and this one is F (page 122). not sure if there is a meaning here

(page 468) this desolation almost made me cry somehow . maybe logcially its not the worst thing thats happened in this book but the nothingness is crushing

this part makes u turn the book around a lot and i really did get a sense of dizziness while reading bc i realized i didnt know whether the text i was reading was really along the bottom of the page or what... also im still so tripped up that they mention this book by name, even say how many pages it has, and that 'maybe some of the pages are hard to read'. bro.

the song on page 479 is apparently "when johnny comes marching home" which i had to look up but thats where the tune of that song the ants go marching one by one comes from???? u learn something new every day.

i like that the footnote on page 488 is another of those aeronautic symbols (theres a chart of some of them on a collage in the back) and this one means "heavily injured, need a doctor"...............

You've heard of HELLMO get ready for HELLINE! Scrimbly Jacqueline 2 of 52 >:)

for a "quick scrimbly doodle with little to no erasing" this one gave me trouble! I thought of helline as this week's last week and then on Monday when I grabbed a scrap piece of paper at work, I tried to doodle it and my GOD. The posing was HARD. FOR A SCRIMBLY DOODLE. at least i tried to keep the silly lil hands, huehuehue.

this first one I was like. okay so. I drew a head like I was doing a regular drawing and went WAIT DANI. THAT'S NOT SCRIMBLY ENOUGH. and also immediately went ou. the posing. let me pull up hellmo and figure this shit out and that's the main doodle. I turned the page 🙃🙃🙃

then i was like 'okok i think i get it let me get a better hellmo on screen' which lead to the second one below:

which turned out BETTER but didn't look gremlin-y enough. I was like. the expression needs to be BIGGER. And the arms aren't in the right spot for me lil eyes.

I put it aside and then my husband texted me about me roasting him at lunch to my friends (he chews ice cream, he deserved the roast about that) and sent a hellmo gif and I went OKAY LET'S TRY AGAIN and voila!

there's the original pre-cam scan clean up, lol. forgor to sign it, but it's cool I fixed it after! I found these really nice thin tip marker pens so I traced the scrimbly doodle in that bc last week's Jacqueline came out so PALE.

AND THEN I REMEMBERED WE HAD WATERCOLOUR MARKERS JUST HANGING OUT IN THE CUPBOARDS AT WORK FOR A FUN LITTLE POP UP THING WE DID TALKING ABOUT MANUSCRIPTS WITH SOME COLOURING PAGES TO GIVE PEOPLE DE-STRESSING TIME

AND GRABBED THEM AND SO NOW NOT ONLY DO WE HAVE HELLINE. WE HAVE HELLINE IN TECHNICOLOUR! AHAHAHA!
