on the other hand the wedding planning subreddits' deep hatred of non-saturday weddings is making me somewhat concerned

i mean i'm sincerely uncertain of whether i will even be properly married in jewish law because 🌸 isn't jewish and you're not getting me anywhere near a ketubah. but. well. i do kind of want a couple of brachot and a chuppah and so on and i suppose in that case i would possibly like to find a reform rabbi who doesn't make my eyes roll back into my head to marry us

but that bring us into conflict with two ideas, the first being that saturday is shabbat, we would like an outdoor ceremony if we can swing it, and any time on saturday when the sun is shining is not a time most rabbis are thrilled to be conducting weddings. and the second being that the general report of the internet is that having a wedding with majority out of town guests on, god forbid, a sunday, means no one will come or else they will all hate us beyond words for making them use pto to travel on monday, and also they won't drink because it's a sunday night and therefore won't dance, and then i suppose they'll all try to kill us with hammers.

it's a strange but nice realization that suddenly you do find yourself in a place where you feel secure in your friendships and valued by the people who matter to you. even when i still find myself in a situation with new people and i feel like the odd one out, i don't care as much as i used to and i find it easier to still make a connection with a few people (most people are friendly!!). if you're a teen or in your early twenties and you feel like you'll always be on your own or not have any lasting friendships that feel completely safe, you're wrong cause that's gonna change. you'll know more about yourself, as will your friends, and these things do get easier. and if this happens "later" in life for you by whatever standard you measure that, it's never too late but you gotta seek out the help you need to make sure you find yourself worthy of all of that (spoiler alert it came free with being born)

There’s still like a week and a half left of the year but i’ve been deep in my feelings so now seems like a good time for this reminder to myself. It WAS a good year. There was joy even in the sadness at the end. And it WILL be good again. It might be different but different doesn’t mean bad. There will be reasons to make gifs. Starring: Ruki Mukami (CV: Takahiro Sakurai), Shin Tsukinami (CV: Shōtarō Morikubo), Ayato Sakamaki (CV: Hikaru Midorikawa), Kanato Sakamaki (CV: Yuki Kaji)

Plot: After being held captive first in the Scarlet mansion and then the Violet mansion, "Eve" has managed escape into the forest, where she encounters Shin, a member of the Orange family. Desperate to get away from her captors and the purported dangers of the forest, "Eve" asks him if he knows of a safe place she can go to. Shin offers to hide her in the Orange mansion, and "Eve" accepts, following him to his home. There, she soon meets his brothers: Ayato, Kanato, and finally Ruki, the eldest and head of the family. It quickly becomes apparent that Shin lied about the mansion being a safe place for the poor girl, who has now, if not precisely jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire, at the very least entered an equally perilous situation as the ones she's just escaped from...

Word to the wise: Use headphones. The noises these guys make as they suck Yui's blood can at times get a bit...intense.

My Thoughts: Aside from being slightly surprised that Shin got more lines and focus than his "brothers" (he's the only one that appears in every track), this CD gave me more or less what I anticipated: Ayato and Kanato being disruptive and rebellious; Shin telling them to "obey Nii-san"; Ruki effortlessly seducing both Yui and me; and, of course, plenty of bloodsucking.

I found the interactions between the Orange "siblings" pretty entertaining. Kanato fighting Ayato off with a bottle of shampoo, of all things, was not something I ever expected from this kind of Drama CD XD. I do feel sorry for Ruki, though – the amount of property damage the others must cause on a daily basis must be a headache to deal with. The fact that these boys feel the need to kick in locked doors rather than, y'know, teleport through them says a lot about their needlessly destructive tendencies. Gotta make a dramatic entrance I suppose? lol.

Getting back to Ruki (my favorite thing to do, tbh), I thoroughly enjoyed his portions of the CD. The scenes where he and Yui interact definitely did not disappoint ⁄(⁄ ⁄ ⁄ω⁄ ⁄ ⁄)⁄. I really appreciate the writers for saving the best Ruki's bloodsucking scene for last; his voice and the sounds he makes when he sucks blood always have me  _(´ཀ`」 ∠)_.

in a perpetual state of "???" because aside from some mild tenderness and pinches here and there from the drain tubes stitched into my sides, recovery has been maybe a one to three on the pain scale thus far.

don't get me wrong here i am TREMENDOUSLY grateful that my recovery has been largely pain-free, but i am just sO SUSPICIOUS that it has been so!!!! surely my pain tolerance cannot be so great!!!

honestly to me bit city is enjoyable i like it but I think sketches just work better with everyone’s skillset rather than a variety show SNL-style. but they probably have more fun doing bit city on a personal level. I always thought that ianthony sketches were beautiful and fun as ianthony’s own personal creative expressions but that it shouldve been everyone writing their own sketches as well like they did in the past cast like courtney and shayne were always writing and pitching it seems. and watching the most recent smosh mouth seeing them talk abt their favorite Christmas sketches…. Everyone there is comedic talent who love comedy. it feels underutilized to me that theyre not writing/pitching comedy skits/sketches when clearly some of them are also trained to do so (amanda literally going to groundlings+chanse being an amazing creative writer and tommy as well). to me at least smosh main should have some sketches whether its ianthony focused or not. + the fact that they have hired comedy writers (syd&olivia blowing it out of the water w smosh the sitcom) before to help them with projects it often ends up being their best work they could do that again curating their own team of creative young comedy writers to help them w the heavy lifting. either way we know that the channels rn are performing better than even in 2023. Maybe its too expensive though. idk… idk
