went a little nuts and made a batman au joker and got really invested. i dont even go here.

in short, it's one of the morality switcheroo kinds, so bats is a "villain" (gone full crime eradication mode and stamped out any empathy. bruce has like. taken over gotham and keeps funding cops and surveillance.) and joker's a..... well. hes not a hero but he is here to ruin a billionaire's day and well if he ends up helping people out so be it. He's just a scrungly little guy and that's everyone else's problem.

I’m feeling depressed so yk what I’m going to do ? Talk about Damian Wayne and hope it fixes me.

So like I made a post before talking a little bit about (mostly) Damian and Jon’s like features and relationship to Lizzie and what’s I’ve seen from screenshots and stuff from Wonder Woman 2023 but I wanna talk more about Damian specifically.

It’s kinda annoying that it seems like his feature of becoming Batman is sealed when they basically made a character who should be anyone BUT Batman.

Damian was created IN CANON (at least according to one of his backstories, idk if it’s canon in the current continuity tho or if they retconned it by now) to one day replace Bruce and to one day be the leader of the League of Assassins.

He literally has always had some sort of role he was destined to fill whether he wanted it or not. Some sort of role that he was being forced into not just by the narrative and the writers but by his literal parents (not really Bruce but yk).

Damian’s story should be similar to Dick’s. He should find himself outside of some preexisting mantle because he doesn’t have to be what other people tell him he is. He doesn’t have to follow on his father’s or his mother’s footsteps. He gets to be his own person, his own hero.

And yah I know in his Robin solo that was kinda his arc of finding himself away from his family and all that but in the end he still is Robin. He should have an arc (in many years after he’s done being Robin or something) where he goes off and becomes his own hero that’s not Batman just like what Nightwing did. And I think it would work and make sense also from like a relationship standpoint, Damian would be more likely to follow in Dicks footsteps than he would be to follow in Bruce’s.

Idk tho bc like, he’s probably just going to be Robin for forever now and he’s only going to be used as Batman in like future set comics or something but like ugh idk I just want him to make his own destiny and not be what everyone tells him he has to be.

Wow! What a nice happy family :3. I sure hope nothing happens to them! :3 I’ve always liked to arrange the series of events like first Selena and Simon met and got married, then the Dracula stuff went down, so uh yeah uh fan interpretation of their (currently) unnamed kids.

The text here says “where’s momma?”, said by his daughter (who by this point is 2-3 about). Shout out to the artist ability to make yourself really sad—

Just Simon and the kids chillin. He probably was a really good dad, just kinda struggling.

Little quick doodle of the designs of the kids. Agh I need to name both of them (TwT ). It’s hard, I feel like they gotta have nice but cool names, but I just haven’t found any I like yet. Anyway, the one on the left is the older daughter and the one on the right is the younger brother and as of Simon’s quest they are 10 and 7 respectively. The brother would’ve been born the year of CV1 if I have my math right, so when Simon was 22.

Sobbing! It be like that sometimes 💀. This might count as like one part vent art and one part just expression and emotion practice :O.

This one also kinda counts as vent art I guess lol idk. It says “I did everything right”. I was thinking of a specific audio while drawing this and tbh I might actually have to animate something hmmm. Or just still images cause animation is hardddddddd oof. This one is based on an old insert character here kind of meme :D. The text says “step 1: establish character with a little worry but a lot of determination. Step 2: inflict soul crushing trauma Step 3: inflict soul crushing trauma—“ and that repeats until step 5 lol. The original meme only had two images, but each of these are supposed to be based on specific events so yeah. First one is just pre CV1, then the moment he got hit, then shortly after leaving the castle, then in the graveyard 6 years later, then somewhere in the middle of his quest.

This one is fun!!!!!! It’s an idea for like a double sided keychain :D!!!!! One side has the like CV1/CV4 era Simon swinging on one of those loops and the other is Simon’s Quest!!! And it’s supposed to be the Hanged Man tarot card!!! So cool!!! Idk how making keychains works so if I actually did this I’d probs just make one in shrink plastic tbh. But ough it would be so cool to actually make and sell little fan keychains and stuff (TwT ).

This one I don’t remember if I’ve posted or not but it’s never getting finished 💀💀💀. Gotta love drawing The Character in increasingly dynamic poses and surreal ways.

#rascal reads comics #Bane figured that shit out in like a week it's kind of his Whole Deal lmao #this reboot is wild istg Secret Six Bane wasn't lying DC really did forget Who He Is #also this story about him being interviewed in prison before he went to the cavidad obscuro as a teenager -- sir #sir he was sent there as a CHILD that's the point he was cut off from literally all socialization during the time when it is most important #he didn't see or speak to or hear another human being between the ages of eight and nineteen it's why he's so weird with people #this reboot is removing all the details that made bane who he is alskdj #And he's already huge as a teenager ? he only built himself up like that because of the vision he had of himself when he was comatose #yknow - - the coma he fell into as a child who couldn't defend himself from the man he would wake up and murder as a child #and he wasn't send to the cavidad obscuro because of the murder -- he was sent there because he was a little boy who broke into the cell #of a grown-ass man with wHAT APPEARS TO BE A SCREWDRIVER -- and then MURDERED HIM WITH THE SCREWDRIVER #They found him following a trail of blood -- Bane was drenched in said blood and sitting grinning on his own bed . He was a CHILD.#doing those things AS A CHILD is why the warden called him 'a bane to all things holy' -- that's how he got his name #no one would be shocked that a huge teenager murdering a fellow inmate he wouldn't be sent to the obscuro for that #that was a religious ‟reflection‟ cell built by the monastery #He was sent there for being a devil child #Bane is a legend there because they put an Eight Year Old Boy with no survival skills into a death cell and he survived it #You remove the weight of it when you make him older -- he was in protective custody with his mother bro he spent ONE NIGHT in population #And it was after everyone else was locked up!!
