Love doomed Team Soulfire.
Because they all love so very deeply don't they? They love their children, they love their friends, they love their homes, they love the little peace they have found in the Island.
They love so deeply that they just want to go home.
But love can be a curse.
Love can lead to nothing but pain and disaster when that love blinds you.
The Entity says that their children's lives are at stake, that they must win if they ever want to see them again, that there is a cursed team and they cannot lose, that their lose is death to their children. And Team Blue cannot risk it, they cannot allow themselves to let their children be put at risk in case they are the cursed them.
For love, they would do anything.
And that was exactly what they did. When other's are getting their resources, when they are thinking about what to do, how to proceed, Team Soulfire already knew, they knew they would do anything for their children, they would kill and they would die.
Surely everyone else was on the same page wasn't them? Their deaths meant nothing as long as their children could be saved.
Love blinded Team Soulfire.
Love blinded them to the pain they inflicted on others. Made them unable to realize exactly what they are doing the moment they spilled first blood, because that? That was the moment Purgatory began.
Not when they landed on the desolate Island, not when they were separeted on teams, not when their children's lives were considered a prize in a twisted game.
That first death? That started Purgaroty. Because what Team Blue didn't realize was that not everyone else was blinded by love as much as they were, that for others killing wasn't their first goal, that for a brief moment people thought they could fight against the system, that they could try in other ways.
But after that? Oh no, there was no turning back from that.
They didn't realize that when you kill someone over and over and over and over again, without mercy, without pause, without thinking about the sort of pain you are inflicting on them, it doesn't matter why you are doing it. They wouldn't look at you and see a friend, they wouldn't see a person who just wants to go home, who just wants to end this hell.
They will see a murderer.
They will see someone who sees their suffering as a means of gaining points, they will see someone who doesn't care about anyone else.
They will only see betrayal.
They will only see a enemy.
You cannot burn your bridges and expect to find a way home. You cannot stab the people around you, even if you do it for love, even if you believe yourself to be doing it for good reasons, and expect them to open your arms to you when you need it.
Team Soulfire loves. They love so deeply, so intensely, so very much.
And their love doomed them to be hated. To be viewed as the ones willing to do anything, to kill and betray and destroy anything the others have. Their love blinded them to the suffering they inflicted upon the others.
And the most painful thing?
Team Soulfire does not realize others are not playing the game as they are. That when they try to even the scoreboard, when they try to make things "fair" they are just feeding an uncontrollable fire, they are just scattering the ashes even further, they are hugging the broken pieces of what once was and they don't realize that the blood coating their hands.
Oh my darlings, how they put so much faith in a verbal agreement about the safety of the egg statues. How they love the children so much that they could not imagine that others wouldn't see those stones the same way they did, that they wouldn't be petrified that there was the slight chance that hurting the statue could hurt their children, how they believed that people would feel the same, would respect it as much as they did.
But of course they didn't. Because Team Bolas Rojas has been stabbed in the back from all the sides multiple times, they could not phantom the idea of trusting the people who have hunted them for sport, who have killed them for points in their own home, who have done nothing but hurt and betray them, they don't look at Team Soulfire and see friends just trying to go home, trying to protect their loved ones, they just see the people who hurt them multiple times.
And Team Green Ninjas agreed to not kill the statues, they truly had never any intention of finishing the job, but at no point their ever promised they wouldn't try to win, because at the end of the day they too worry so fucking much they couldn't imagine the possibility of not trying to win to save their children.
So that leaves Team Soulfire isolated, burned by love, forever to be distrusted and hated and avoided because of the actions they took in day one, because they believed that anything done in Purgatory was done for love and would be forgiven because they all have the same goal, they all want the same thing, because they believed people would understand their motivations.
And they did! They do!
It just doesn't matter.
Because the hurt they caused is too deep to be soothed by that.
For love, they have caused what seems like irreparable amounts of pain.
For love, they doomed themselves to be the villains in the eyes of everyone they know.

Worth It
Listen.
Steve can deal with a lot, okay? He’s taken on Russian soldiers and interdimensional monsters and Billy fucking Hargrove, for Christ’s sake.
He’s strong and capable and he knows that. He does. Okay?
So the spider in the shower isn’t why he fell, tearing down the shower curtain in the process. Of course not.
Except… maybe it is.
And it’s not like spiders remind him of the Mind Flayer. They don’t, and he knows that’s done and over with. Henry’s dead and the gates are sealed. So that’s not it.
It’s just… spiders.
He hates them. He doesn’t really have a reason. There’s no traumatic childhood story. They’re just creepy and they freak him the fuck out.
He’s thankful he’s alone in his house, because having someone run up and see him sprawled on the floor, dick out, because of a spider would actually make this the worst day of his life.
So he’s safe this time. He was mostly finished with his shower anyways, so he grabs his towel and dries off in his room, but.
But.
Who’s to say the spider won’t crawl into his room? Into his bed? Who’s to say it won’t just follow him around the house, turning up on the couch cushion next to him, or on the coffeemaker.
His breath stutters in his chest.
No. He needs this spider gone. And he needs to be sure it’s gone for good. He has to kill it.
Come on. Come on. He killed demogorgons and demodogs and bit a demobat’s head off. He can kill a spider.
He gets dressed. Grabs a shoe.
Stalls on the edge, where the carpet meets the vinyl.
He steps back, paces around, charges at the bathroom.
Stalls on the edge, where the carpet meets the vinyl.
Come on, he thinks. “Come on,” he says. It’s just a spider.
It’s not like he’s gonna call anyone. Everyone he knows wouldn’t be able to stop laughing long enough to help him.
Except…
“‘Lo?” Eddie says.
“Eddie,” Steve says.
He can hear the smile in Eddie’s voice when he speaks next. “Hey, Steve. What’s up?”
“Um,” Steve says. “Are you busy?” His voice sounds high, thready. Anxious.
A pause. “Is everything okay?”
Steve blows out a breath. “I- I need help, okay, and you’re the only one who I think wouldn’t immediately laugh at me. Can- can you come over?”
“Yeah,” Eddie says, still concerned. “Yeah, of course, I’ll be right over.”
He is. Steve spends his time waiting on the edge of the bathroom, running downstairs when Eddie knocks.
“Hey,” he says, trying and failing to make it sound like everything’s fine.
“Hey.” Eddie’s brows are furrowed. “What’s wrong? What do you need help with?”
Steve huffs out a stressed laugh, running fingers through his hair and tightening, pulling for a second. “Listen, I know this is- it’s embarrassing, okay, I know it is, I’ve- I’ve survived so much worse, and I know realistically it probably can’t even hurt me, but.” He bites his lip. Can’t look at Eddie. Leads him upstairs instead, stops at the threshold to the bathroom. “There’s a spider,” he mutters.
Eddie looks into the bathroom. Sees the curtain and puddle of water on the floor. Puts a hand on Steve’s shoulder, squeezes slightly. “Stay here,” he murmurs. “Where is it?”
“In the shower. Corner.” His eyes squeeze shut. “I- I know it’s nothing. But… be safe.”
“Hey.” Eddie nudges his arm. Steve opens his eyes. Eddie’s right in front of him, smiling softly, brows still furrowed a little. Worried for Steve. “Would it be better for you if you were out of the room?”
He thinks about it. Shakes his head. Eddie smiles, nods, and steps into the bathroom.
The door is blocking Steve’s view, but he can hear Eddie just fine.
“Hey, little mister,” Eddie says. “Listen, I know the bathroom’s a cool place, but you pervin’ on him isn’t really gonna fly with either of us. Sorry, but you’re getting evicted.” His boots stomp around, grabbing toilet paper, before moving back over to the shower. “Sorry,” he says again, before a light thump reverberates through the room. Steve feels it in his chest.
Eddie flushes it, washes his hands, and smiles at Steve. “Want me to check for more anywhere?”
Steve shakes his head, wraps his arms around himself. “Thank you.”
“Not a problem,” Eddie promises. He nods to the shower curtain. “Did you fall? Or just pull it down?”
Steve shakes his head. “Fell.”
“Are you okay? Any bumps or scratches anywhere?”
Steve blinks, takes stock. “Um. My- elbow, I guess, but it’s just a bruise.”
Eddie smiles, extends a hand. Stops before he touches Steve. “Mind if I check?”
Steve wordlessly holds his arm out. Eddie gently prods his elbow, feeling around. He smiles at Steve again. He’s still holding on. “All good,” he murmurs. “Anything else you need? I don’t mind looking around.”
Steve shakes his head. “It’s okay. I shouldn’t- I don’t need that. Can I thank you with a beer?”
“If you want to, sure, but I’m willing to call this a favor for a friend.” He inclines his head. “Mind grabbing it for me? I’m just gonna look around in here for a minute, make sure none of his buddies got in.” When Steve hesitates, Eddie puts his knuckles to Steve’s chin. “Hey,” he says softly. “I’ll be fine. How about you get us both a beer and sit in the living room. By the time you do that, I’ll be downstairs. Okay?”
“Okay,” Steve murmurs. “Thank you.”
Eddie chuckles, steps away. “Anytime, Stevie. Now out!” He cries, shooing Steve out of his own room, shutting the door behind him for good measure.
Steve laughs, walks downstairs. He’s still a little on edge, but he doesn’t see another spider.
Eddie’s true to his word; he’s been sitting on the couch for about a minute by the time Eddie comes thundering down the stairs. “My liege!” He exclaims, coming to kneel before Steve. “I hereby proclaim your quarters to be pest-free!”
Steve laughs. “My hero,” he says dryly, sitting forward to tap Eddie on both his shoulders with his beer. “I, uh, hereby proclaim you Sir Spider Killer.”
Eddie grins up at him, takes his beer, and sits on the couch next to Steve. “Do me a favor?”
Steve hums.
“You ever see one again, and you wanna call someone. You can call me.”
“I shouldn’t need that-”
“Shouldn’t or otherwise, you do,” Eddie tells him. “And I’d like to make your life easier if I can. So if that means coming over here and taking care of any creepy-crawlies that find their way in, then that’s that. I will, and I’ll do so gladly.”
Steve looks away, picks at the label of his beer. “Why do you care?”
“Because you’re worth it,” Eddie whispers. “You deserve it.”
Steve shuts his eyes. “What if you’re the only person who thinks that?”
“I’m not,” Eddie says immediately. “And Robin would probably inflict bodily harm on you if she knew you were talking like this. But even if I am… that doesn’t make it less true. It’s still true. You still deserve it. You’re still worth it. Not because of anything you’ve done, or who you are. It’s just because you are.”
Steve sighs out a shaky breath. “Okay,” he whispers. “If you say so.”
“I do.” He squeezes Steve’s shoulder. “Now, the only question is, what are we going to watch?”

Mister Cyclop
Platonic!Yandere!Tartaglia x Bullied!Child!Male!Reader
How did it become like this? Why did you hit your brother Teucer? Why did you insult him? He... He just wanted to play with you. With his brother, whom he hadn't seen for so long. And you've been waiting so long to meet your family, too. So why did you screw it up yourself? That's not what you wanted at all...
You left earlier than planned. You didn't wait for your older brother Ajax, who was supposed to arrive in two days, but just returned to Fontaine. Initially, you dreamed of studying at Fontaine only for the sake of Teucer, he was not much younger than you and terribly loved cyclops. Once Ajax gave him a toy in the form of his favorite hero and you just can't but wanted to fulfill his dream. Just make a mechanism that would allow his favorite toy to walk.
"It would be great if Mister Cyclope could walk! Oh! And can even shoot a laser! With which he's supposed to crush enemies! Ha! Ha! Ha!"
However, here you are, looking at how other students spit in your shoes, how even one of the elders angrily looks in your direction, maybe it's a teacher.
"Stop crying, Y/n! Do you even know how many people your brother has killed and he...!"
"My brother is not a harbinger!"
"What's the difference?! You're from Snezhnaya! You're all sick in the head there! Invading foreign regions! Torture, kill, you are all monsters! From someone like you, we all have to suffer while you feast!"
Sitting on the floor, you just couldn't help but cry with resentment.
Your mom always told you to be kind to everyone, to always share and not offend anyone. So you did. On the first day you even brought hotcakes, which you made all night with your mother. You thought you'd make friends faster this way, but the other kids threw away those hotcakes and said that they didn't want to be poisoned by food from the north, that they weren't so stupid and naive as not to understand your true motives. They even read your letter that you wrote to your family, hoping to find the secret cipher. Of course, there were no any secret cipher, however, they made fun of you when they saw you admit that you were being bullied in letter.
"Oh! Are we hurting you? Really? What a pity... But you know what?! You can complain to your dad! And I'm not! Do you know why?! Because your fatui relatives killed him! Although I'm sorry! After all, the words "pain" and "loss" are not familiar to people like you!"
"I..."
"Do us all a favor, Y/n! No! Do the whole Teyvat a favor! Go back to your homeland and die with scum like yourself!"
You had nothing to say, as always. Fortunately, it was over in a couple of minutes. The class started and everyone left, everyone except you. You went to your room. You decided to finish disassembling the bag and maybe calm down a little. However, tears fell like a waterfall from your eyes when you saw a jar of condensed milk and a note from Tyuser. In your younger brother 's clumsy handwriting , it was written in large letters:
'Mom said I could take some condensed milk so I wouldn't cry. I don't know how I offended you... I'm sorry, brother. But I hope that condensed milk will cheer you up as much as it does me. By the way, you didn't hurt me at all!'
How... How could you take it out on your own brother... Also a younger one... You really are a monster from the north...
You fell asleep crying on the floor, despite the fact that it was only evening, and therefore woke up in the middle of the night. It was warm and smelled like home, like when the older brother had just returned home after another business trip. Your was nose tickled the fur, and your brother was sitting at your desk... Brother?!
"Oh! Y/n, you're awake... You really scared me, you know. You were lying on the floor, all in tears and with a fever... How are you?"
Ajax came up to you when you started crying again. However, this time your nose was buried in your brother's warm, big and motionless shoulder, and not in your small hands that were shaking nonstop and from which your own tears flowed.
"Brother... Brother..."
Ajax's left hand stroked your back soothingly, and his right hand pressed your head harder against his shoulder. Tonya called Ajax a knight, but for you he was like a brown bear, with big hands and fluffy hair.
"Do you know what I'm thinking, Y/n? About how well we will spend all the time together at home... Go ice skating, go fishing. I will definitely prepare my crown fish soup... However, Tonya will most likely disappear with her friends, as she does every yuletide... But I think they can be invited to us, Anton will definitely be embarrassed because of this..."
Your mouth unwittingly broke into a small, weak, but so tender smile at the mention of your older brother Anton, who was always blushing and shy in front of the girls. And Tonia, who, as she herself said, didn't believe in all this nonsense with fortune-telling. However, at the same time, she was looking forward to cherished days for rituals...
"Brother... I... I want to go home..."
"I know, my little rascal, and we will definitely go home..."
Enjoying a moment of happiness and such a pleasant, domestic tranquility, you do not see Ajax's eyes and do not think about the evil words of other children. you only think about home. When, at the same time, your older brother, seeing how you calm down, he starts thinking about your classmates and teachers again...
"I just need to sort something out first..."

Shanks x Fem!Reader - Old Love (2)
after the meeting on your ship you didn't think, or rather hoped, to meet your ex again for quite a while. You needed to be at peace, and seeing it disturbed your inner peace. Besides, Shanks had always been a busy guy, he probably had to rush somewhere else, right? You would not have met him on the same island.
but you couldn't be more wrong. Not only did you meet him, but you also saw him with another girl. Actually, you've watched it from afar, you don't want another conversation like last time. Anyway, who was the other girl? What was Shanks doing with her? Is she the girl he left you for?
with these thoughts flashing through your head you followed them to his ship. Not being able to observe them there, you left thinking that deep down you didn't give a damn, in fact it could have been a good thing after all, so you would have just put a stone on it.
you decide not to go back to the ship though, also because you already know that you would get depressed, so you limit yourself to a walk through the streets alone. Are you thinking about ways you would feel better, should you maybe buy trendy clothes? Or maybe some sake? Or maybe a gentleman's company?
while you were thinking about this, you collide with a large man, then you prepare to give him a damn when suddenly you recognize him.
" Long time to see, Y\N " says the deputy captain of the fleet of the Red, aka Benn Beckman
" Benn!" you say smiling and throwing yourself at him " I missed you "
"I know you joined Luffy's crew" he replies after you talk to him "He's a chaotic boy but he's a good boy, so take care of him"
"Yeah, Luffy is the best captain I could ever hope for. Not like a certain mister"
" Y\N- "
" What? It's the truth"
" I'm sorry about what happened with Shanks. I wish you were still with us, but it wasn't an easy choice for him. "
"Both you and Shanks point out how hard it was for him, but no one thinks how I felt? I was left by the man I loved, in fact I still love like a fool" you said this last part in a whisper
he just looks at you with a pitying look. And no, you didn't want to be looked at like that; it's not right. It was the same look as when Shanks left you on that island. Fuck it, this makes you even angrier.
" But that's okay, I'm learning to accept what happened to me. And slowly I will stop loving that asshole" you add later
Benn looks at you again for a few seconds, but this time you can't decipher his gaze. Then finally he sighs and says "Shanks left you because he wanted to protect you." you are about to speak but he raises his hand and continues " You were injured the day before in a fight against Akainou and he hasn't forgiven himself. He still loves you ".
It is true! The day before you had been injured, it wasn't an excessive wound (in fact they treated you right away) but you could risk getting hurt. How did you not connect the two events? How stupid! Indeed, what a fool that captain.
"But then why is he with that girl?!"
"She's just a new crew member, he was giving her a tour of this town since she's never been there."
"Thank you, Benn " give him a kiss on the cheek " Now I know what to do "
you don't even give him time to talk before you run off to Shanks' ship. Since everyone knows you, or almost everyone, they didn't make a fuss when you boarded the ship, other than greetings. As much as you've missed everyone, you didn't have time now.
you head quickly to Shanks' room, who doesn't even have time to metabolize your presence when he receives a slap from you, making him fly across the room. You approach the body of your former captain, still dazed.
"You idiot, you shouldn't make decisions for others, even if you're the captain! I know why you left me. Do you really think I'm that weak? That I would let myself be killed so easily? How much trust you have in your teammates."
"Do you know how scary it was when you got hurt?"
"Cut the crap. I'm still going to get hurt since I'm in Luffy's crew"
"Y\N…"
"It's bullshit when people leave you for love, and it's also selfish."
" It's not... Do you know how much it hurts me that you're not here? Do you know how much I've missed you?"
"Then you're a bigger idiot than I imagined. Why do you want to hurt both of us?"
"I…I didn't want to separate from you, I didn't want to hurt you. I just wanted you to be safe"
"Do you think I'm safe with another Emperor? Do you think he's safer with Luffy? Either you don't trust me or you don't trust yourself"
the red stares at you for a few seconds, and you seem to melt under its gaze (it always has the same effect on you). Suddenly he lunges at you and kisses you passionately.
"Yeah, I'm a big idiot"

Moving Day: Micah Bell X Male Reader
Pronouns: None Mentioned, Reader is referred to as ‘boy’, ‘son’, and ‘mister’ Physical Sex: None Mentioned Rating: T/References to violence, Implied sex Warnings: Micah Bell is his own warning, Miss Grimshaw is a tough love mom, implied sex, references to violence Summary: Not wanting to upset the order Miss Grimshaw has in packing up camp to move, you let her know about you and Micah.
The sudden moves from camp to camp are common as a Van Der Linde gang member. A big job draws attention, Dutch orders a move when the law starts sniffing around or there’s just a need for fresh territory. A new town presents plenty of opportunities. The girls snoop around and find what’s worth the gang’s attention, Hosea runs his cons, and everyone spreads out to take on stagecoaches, trains, and homesteads. But things have changed since the last move and those in charge of camp need to be informed of these changes. Miss Grimshaw would kill you if you messed up her camp by leaving her out of the loop.
“Miss Grimshaw?” You ask, trying to sound as nice as possible and taking your hat off of your head to show her respect.
“Mister-” She sighs. “Unless you would like to assist, I am busy.”
She and the other women are loading up the supplies. Heavy crates and all.
“Of course, Miss.” You clear your throat, nerves making it dry. “I just don’t want to make things difficult when you’re unpacking.”
“Skip to it now.” She turns to you with her hands on her hips.
Something about her facing you makes this harder to say. “Mister Bell and I are sharing a tent now.”
You grip at your hat nervously, thankful you have something to mess with in your hands while Miss Grimshaw stares at you. You can’t look her in the eyes for long. The woman is menacing enough at a distance and you do well to keep out of her way whenever possible. Her eyes are like fire, but when you catch the nervous glance up at her face she just looks bewildered.
“My God, boy.” She sighs. “This camp is full of fine young men. What possessed you to lie down with a man like Mister Bell?”
You smile nervously. “I, um, I am not quite sure, Miss Grimshaw.”
“Well it would do you some good to rethink this.” She lowers her voice. “That Arthur Morgan is a fine man.”
At this you laugh, shaking your head. “I’m afraid I’m sure of my choice in life, Miss. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the change for the sake of your packing.”
“Fine, fine. But if you have any trouble with that wretched man, I am sure most of us would have a fine time kickin’ him out of your tent.” She sighs, flattening her dress with the palms of her hands. “I will change our packing arrangements accordingly.”
You nod. “Thank you, Miss Grimshaw. Sorry to have disturbed you.”
“Oh, it ain’t you that disturbs me son.” She says. “Your choices, perhaps, but not you.”
She turns back to the carts and continues loading them up. It won’t take long for word to travel now. Miss Grimshaw will mention it to the girls and then it will spread like wildfire through the camp, even faster if it gets to Sean early on because he never shuts up. You place your hat back on your head and return to business of camp as everyone runs a few last jobs before you leave. Lenny and Sean are begging Arthur to go with them on one last robbery in the area, Bill and Javier already left for one. You find Micah next to Baylock, waiting for you so you can meet Dutch and a few others to hit the bank in the town you’re now leaving.
“How’d it go with the old witch?” He asks, adjusting the straps on his saddle.
“Fine.” You say, stopping near your own horse. “I’m sure the camp will be talking about it in a few days.”
Micah approaches you and pulls you closer, fitting his fingers under your gun belt. “Ain’t nothing wrong with people knowin’ ya belong to Micah Bell, is there?”
“Course not.”
He presses his lips to yours and your hands find his waist, snaking under his jacket. He chuckles when he pulls away and walks back to Baylock. “You’re lookin’ forward to it, people knowin’.”
The grin on his face makes you smile back. “I suppose.”
You both mount your horses and ride out to town where Dutch and a couple others wait by the saloon. As you hitch your horse, you catch the eye of Charles who has John whispering something to him. His eyes move from you to Micah. They know, word has spread faster than expected.

Mini Fanfic #1055: Worth All the Worries and Heartaches (RWBY)
4:45 p.m. at Xiao Long's Household's Living Room.......
Ruby: (Sighs While Frantically Pacing Back and Forth in Front of the Coffee Table) I can't believe this right now.....
Oscar: (Holds On to the Side of his Patched Shoulder, Using his Magic to Heal the Wound) Now Ruby, try and stay calm for me, alright? It's going to be okay.
Ruby: (Stops Pacing) Calm? Okay? (Turns to Oscar With a Very Panicked Glare on her Face) How can I be calm and okay about this, Oscar!? I turned my back away for second and the next thing I know, some gunslinging bastard came out of nowhere shot you point blank!!
Oscar: Well, technically, he was gunning for you, so.....(Starts Rubbing The Back of his Head Back and Forth Awkwardly) I.....may have jumped in at the....very last second.....
Ruby: You....WHAT!? WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!? No, better yet, why didn't you used your magic barrier at the very LAST SECOND, HUH!?
Oscar: It didn't cross my mind at the time! Plus, I've been shot by Ironwood before, I'm used to it. (Winces a Bit in Pain) For the most part.
Ruby: USED TO IT- (Pauses Herself For a Second Before Taking a Very Deep Breath) Okay, first off, getting shot is NOTHING to get used to that easily. And second, Ironwood shot you and left you falling off a platform. With your aura depleting with it.
Oscar: I mean....you're not wrong, but....I still survived the fall, didn't I?
Ruby: By Ozpin's help! If it weren't for him, you would've fallen all the way down to the deep abyss while the whole place starts getting in shambles with no way out, and we would never see or hear from you ever again on that day! (Tears Suddenly Starts Falling Down her Eyes) ('Sniff') And the gods only know what Salem would've done to you if Jaune and the others weren't there to- (Stops Speaking For a Brief Second Before Crying Softly)
Oscar: (Eyes Widened Before Quickly Coming Over to His Girlfriend's Side) Ruby, hey. (Gently Places his Hand onto Ruby's Shoulder) What's wrong? Why are you crying?
Ruby: (Starts Wiping the Tears Away) I'm sorry, I-('Sniff') caught up with old, terrifying memories again as usual. ('Sniff') (Quickly Pouts at Oscar) And sit back down! You shouldn't be up with an injury like that!
Oscar: (Winces a Bit in More Pain) ('Ngh') Now you tell me....
Ruby: (Sniff Some More as She Takes Oscar Back to his Seat) Come on. Back to the sofa with you, mister.
Oscar: Yeah, yeah. (Seats Back Down on the Sofa With Ruby Sitting Next to Him) Are you okay now?
Ruby: ('Sighs Heavily') Kind of....You really gotta stop doing this.
Oscar: (Raises an Eyebrow in Confusion).Doing what?
Ruby: (Frowns Sadly and Worryingly) Getting yourself hurt and nearly killed. I know you're doing your best to prove yourself and all the things I've mentioned seconds ago, happened to you at the worst possible time, but it always breaks my heart every time I keeping see you like this. And I'm pretty sure everyone else in our friend group would say the same....(Playfully Smirks a Little) Your moms and dads especially~
Oscar: (Chuckles Lightly) Don't remind me. I have to put up with their overprotective antics almost every day.
Ruby: But ya still love 'em a bunch, right?~
Oscar: (Smiles Softly) Everyday. (Turns to Ruby) And I love you too, Ruby. Sorry I made you worried and cry just now.
Ruby: Don't worry about it. I'm always worried about you, so it's not really surprising that I get this far into the water works.
Oscar: (Eyes Starts to Widened a Bit in Genuine Surprise) You're....always worried about me?
Ruby: Of course. Oscar, you're my partner, one of my best friends, my heart, my Honey Pie for god sake!
Oscar: (Puts on a Deadpinned Look) Honey Pie?
Ruby: It's a cute nickname for you, sue me! (Takes Another Deep Breath Before Calming Down) But anyways, you mean all of those things and more to me. I would go through hell and back and throwdown with ANYONE who dares tries to hurt you! (Smiles Brightly) Because I love you like that. Always.
Oscar: (Heart Begins to Melt as He Starts Smiling Again) I would do the same for you too, Ruby.
Ruby: C'mere~ (Leans Closer and Gives Oscar a Very Loving Kiss on the Lips Before Hugging Him) We're in on this together, Oscar~ (Smiles Brightly) Which is why we start our first training of the month first thing tomorrow morning!~
Oscar: (Eyes Widened Again) First thing tomorrow morning!?
Ruby: Yeeeup! We gotta make sure what happened earlier today won't repeat the next time. (Raises an Eyebrow) Plus, don'tcha think you need more work on your hand-to-hand combat skills, Mr. Pines?~
Oscar: ('Sighs in Defeat') Yes, I do....But can we start training at 10 a.m. at least? Getting up at 7 is way too early for my liking.....
Ruby: (Smirks Seductively) Give me some loving and cuddles for the rest of the day and you got yourself a deal~
Oscar: (Grabs a Nearby Blanket Beside Him and Throws it Up to Come Down and Covers Both Him and Ruby Under It) Sounds good to me.
Ruby starts giggling before reaching towards Pscar for a another kiss until.....
'Stuck in the Suburbs! Just like Michael Jackson!'
Oscae: Uh....(Chuckles a Bit Awkwardly) Excuse me. (Picks His Scroll Up From the Coffee Table and Answers it) Hello?
Within an instant, a loud motherly like scream starts startling the young couple's eardrums.
Oscar: Nora! Nora, calm down, will ya? I'm okay.
Nora: (Chattering on the Other Line)
Oscar: ('Sigh') Yeah....I shot. Again.
Nora: (Starts Screaming Again on Panic on the Other Line)
Oscar: (Smiles Sheepishly) B-But luckily, Ruby and I were back home and heal myself before I lost a large amount of blood. So it's not all bad.
Ruby: (Smiles Brightly) Your baby boi is in good hands!~
Nora: (Starts Chattering on the Other Line Again)
Ruby: About to watch some TV and junk.
Nora: (Starts Chattering Again)
Ruby: ('Sigh') Yes, Nora. We'll cuddle responsibly. (Glares at her Scroll) And stop threatening to break my legs already! I need those! (Immediately Starts Blushing) A-And not for what you think either, damnit!!

YOU DRIVE ME MAD
Summary: Fred's and Y/n's silly rivalry may have more to do with love than with hate; after a fatal incident, some confessions are made.
Pairing: Fred Weasley x Reader

A/N: idk man I just love this idiot so here it comes another oneshot. The reader's house is not specified btw. Enjoy <3
Rogue-durin-16 masterlist
Fred spotted me and walked to stand near me before asking jokingly "On your way to kill a man, Y/n?" Oh, little did he know.
"what is that?!" I exclaimed at the sight of my friend's bruised arm.
"uhm... Nothing."
"who did that to you?" I knew the answer before I even got it. My friend had gone to break up with that Cormac McLaggen the previous night; she had finally listened to us and ended that toxic relationship they had, but apparently she got a souvenir from it.
"It's fine- he didn't mean to- Y/n don't do anything stupid." Too late, I saw red.
"I don't have time for your bullshit, Weasley." I curtly replied bumping his shoulder while I walked past him, making his smile drop in confusion. I never missed the opportunity to start a playful argument with him, but, as I had said, I didn't have time for that.
With the corner of my eye, I saw him joining my friends in the task of trailing after me.
I spotted the bastard chatting with his friends in the middle of the hallway that led to the Great Hall. "Oi, McLaggen!"
"Evening, Y/l/n." That filthy grin vanished from his face when I kicked him in the balls, triggering some gasps from our peers and a grunt of pain from him.
"Listen carefully, you loathsome pig." I leaned over to be eye to eye with him. "If you dare to lay a finger on my friend again— if you even think about it— I'll become your personal nightmare." I stood upright again, his eyes full of hate and rage following my movements. "You don't deserve a bloody warning, but I'm a generous woman." Poison dripped off my tongue, my eyes throwing daggers at him as I stepped back and turned around.
My eyes met Fred's worried ones while I made my way to my friends; they surely had told him enough for the ginger to know this was no time for joking and teasing.
His gaze then flickered behind me with panic and I realized a tad too late I shouldn't have turned my back to McLaggen; at the end of the day, pride overpowered honour in a lot of Gryffindors.
I spun around, grabbing my wand from my pocket, but I wasn't fast enough; before I knew what was happening, Fred was in front of me, serving as a human shield from the jinx.
The unknown spell hit his back and propelled us in my friends' direction. I was quickly on my knees, sitting Fred up and earning a grunt in the process, which I initially thought was caused by the fall. "Are you mental?!" My friend casted an Expelliarmus at the younger Gryffindor, long forgotten due to Fred's actions.
"My back— AH!" He yelped when I tried to pull him up.
"OI!" A first year who had made his way to the first row of students frantically gestured at Fred's back. "He's bleeding!!"
"What?!" I made him lean on me to take a look at his white shirt, now stained with blood. What I thought to be a harmless jinx turned out to be fatal.
"He's not supposed to be bleeding!" Cormac shouted, as panicked as I was.
One of my friends said something about going to look for George while the others shoot off to look for Madam Pomfrey.
"I'm gonna kill him..." Fred mumbled through gritted teeth, his voice shaky and weak. He felt so fragile in my arms, and I couldn't help the tears stinging my eyes.
"Fred—" his hands, which had been gripping my forearms, lost strength as the boy's body relaxed. "For fuck's sake don't fall asleep."
"... 'm trying..."
"FREDDIE!" His twin brother rushed to us, falling on his knees by his brother's side.
"I'm sorry." McLaggen had walked to us, keeping a safe distance.
"YOU'RE DEAD MCLAGGEN!" George stood up before I could stop him. Luckily for everyone, Madam Pomfrey showed up.
"Oh Lord! Mister Weasley, quick! Help me with your brother!" The Healer commanded, and soon they were pulling Fred off my grasp and rushing to the infirmary.
I was left in the middle of the hallway with my friends showering me with worried questions and reassurance.
What the fuck had just happened?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
During dinner, several girls and a couple of boys came to congratulate me for kicking McLaggen's balls, and it would have been a lot more satisfactory if Fred Weasley hadn't stepped in the middle.
As soon as I finished my meal, I headed to the infirmary through the now quiet halls, only to find there were too many people visiting.
Of course, George was there, along with their younger siblings and Lee Jordan, but in front of them stood Professor Flitwick, Professor McGonagall and none other than Cormac McLaggen himself.
"—already told you it wasn't for you!"
"How is that an apology, Mister McLaggen?" McGonagall scolded him, refraining herself from hitting the boy herself.
"You better fucking run, McLaggen, because the moment I can step out of this bed I swear on Godric I will—"
"Enough, Mister Weasley!" I almost pitied the poor woman. Her House was probably the most problematic. "All of you must go to your dormitories, Mister Weasley needs to rest." I stood on the entrance of the room, unsure of whether I should leave or enter, until Flitwick's eyes landed on my form. He redirected McGonagall's attention to me, and I felt the need of shying away. "Miss Y/l/n," I didn't miss the failed attempt of Fred to move; luckily, he was stopped by his sister. "I suppose you wanted to pay a visit?"
"Uhm... I did, Professor." I confessed, fidgeting with the sleeves of my robe. "I know it's late—"
"Don't take too long." She spoke, motioning everyone to follow her. "Curfew is still at 10." She reminded me in a warning tone, passing by.
As soon as they were out, I made my way to Fred, who lay on his stomach in one of the beds, the sheets only covering his legs an hips in order to avoid the clothing chaffing his damaged skin.
"You have a heart after all, huh?" He teased once I stood in front of him.
"How are you?" He frowned at my genuine question; the ginger surely expected me to make a witty comeback, but again, it didn't seem the time.
"A tad better." He gave me a reassuring half smile, deciding to drop our banter for a night. "Flitwick said he used a stinging jinx but casted it wrong." Fred huffed. "A bloody tosser."
He motioned at the chair behind me and I sat down, scooting closer to the bed. I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that he had jumped in front of me. It had hit his back, but I knew it was meant to hit my face —what a mess that would have been—, and I couldn't help but feel a bit guilty.
"Stop that."
"Stop what?"
"It's not on you." I felt my face flaring up at the ease with which he saw through me. I wasn't the first time he did that, but it was the first time he didn't use it to tease me.
"I know, I just—" I sighed. "I don't know." Though my sight was casted down, I still felt his worried gaze on me. "I'm gonna murder him."
"I reckon George will overtake us both on that." He tried to laugh but ended up in a since instead. "Or Gin. Maybe they'll team up with Ron and we'll find a corpse in the Gryffindor common room tomorrow." This time it was me who laughed. "How's your friend?"
"She'll be alright." I informed, distracting myself with a loose string at the hem of my skirt.
"And you?" I met his eyes with a hum leaving my mouth. "How are you?"
"Been better." I confessed.
Silence.
"Can you pass me the water?" I nodded, holding the glass in front of him and putting the straw in his mouth so he could take a couple of sips. "Thanks."
"No worries."
Silence again.
"Did you eat something?"
He scrunched his nose. "Not really."
"I'll go grab something from the kitchens." I didn't get far before his long fingers wrapped around my wrist.
"I'd rather have you here keeping my company." I then sat down again, his fingers only leaving my wrist to intertwin with mines. "I'm not hungry anyway."
More silence.
"Your hand is really soft." I reckon those words involuntarily escaped his lips by the way his eyes widened. "I don't know why I said that."
"Yours is too, surprisingly."
"Surprisingly?" He quirked an eyebrow at me, and I didn't quite realise what his grin was about until I spoke again.
"I imagined they'd be more rough." Oh no. "That came out wrong— I meant—"
"That you've imagined what my hands would feel like?" He was trying to bite back a laugh at the way my face turned red.
"No!"
"You sure?"
"Positive."
"Liar."
There we went again; the white flag was out.
"Fuck you."
"Please." My cheeks turned even redder, and I wanted to think it was because of the anger. "You look really cute when you blush."
"You look really cute when you keep your mouth shut."
"Then shut me, love." He wiggled his brows at me.
"I would, but I don't wanna punch you in this state."
"You're very agressive." He pointed out, shocked that I didn't get what he was implying. "I meant with a kiss."
"Ew-" I pretended to gag. "no!"
He tugged on my hand and pulled me to my knees falling right in front of his eyes with our faces inches away. "C'mon Y/l/n, we're dragging this on now." His eyes kept falling on my mouth after I had unconsciously chewed on my lower lip.
"We're... We're not dragging on anything." I wasn't sure if I was trying to convince him or myself.
"Do you want me to start? Alright, you drive me mad." He forced his gaze to be fixed on mine. "You're annoying, rude and a pain in the arse." I huffed. "But you're also quick-witted and caring and brave." Gosh I hated how easily he made me blush. "Sometimes I want to punch you in that pretty face of yours but other times— most of the times— all I wanna do is kiss you." His thumb caressed the back of my hand. "Hell, I threw myself between you and that blonker without thinking twice!"
He raised his eyebrows, silently prompting me to say something, but I just didn't know what to say.
"Miss Y/l/n," Madam Pomfrey called, making me let go of Fred's hand an stood up. "It's almost ten o'clock! Let Mister Weasley rest." I nodded, not even looking in Fred's direction as I exited the infirmary.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
FRED'S P. O. V.
The morning after the incident, Dean and Neville dragged in an unrecognisable McLaggen; they were probably the only ones who cared about that bloke enough to take him to Madam Pomfrey, though they did it half-heartedly.
I was discharged after three days in, right before lunch, and obviously, I was received as a hero; several people came to praise my bravery or ask how I was feeling, but I just wanted to see one person.
That night in the infirmary I was sure she felt the same way —hell, I had been sure for a couple of months— but after seeing her reaction, I didn't really know anymore.
I could always tell her it was a prank, and we would go back to our usual bickering. "Weasley!" Shit. "Fred!" She specified when the four of us turned at the call of our surname, almost jogging in my direction. "Can we talk?"
"Go ahead, darling." I prompted her without moving from my seat.
"In private?"
"Nah," I begged Godric for her not to see behind my grin the panic that produced me the mere thought of being left alone with her.
"Are you joking?" She huffed and, after taking a deep breath, she spoke. I wasn't expecting her to speak. "So you see, you're cheeky and stupid and not nearly as funny as you think." Ginny spit her pumpkin juice due to Y/n's harsh words. "but I... ugh! Okay— I want to kiss you too."
This time it was Ron who choked on his drink. "What's going on?"
"I feel like we missed an important part of this conversation." George commented.
This time it was Y/n who awaited for an answer. "This is literally the most embarrassing thing ever, so at least say something." She commanded in a rather rude tone, tapping her shoe against the floor.
I winced ever so slightly at the effort of getting up, but it was worth it when I saw her expression as I towered her; I reckon I had never seen her that sheepish before.
"That's a really mean way of saying you're attracted to me." I observed, quirking a brow at her. "Dunno why I fancy you so much."
"Well that makes the two of us." I couldn't help but chuckle at her attitude before cupping her cheeks and bring her lips to mine.
Finally.
Despite being a short, innocent kiss, was enough to make us both blush and grin like idiots.
"Awww" I rolled my eyes at my twin's mockery, knowing damn well I wouldn't hear the end of it.
"Why do I feel like I'm gonna miss you two being at each other's throat?" I couldn't care less about Ron's question as Y/n pulled me down for another kiss.
Almost bleeding to death seemed worth it in that moment.

Sweet Tooth
Corpse Husband x Asian Reader (Gender Neutral)
Warnings: Swearing
Genre: Tooth-rotting (😉) Fluff, Humor, RPF (Real Person Fic)
Summary: Corpse isn’t one to have a big preference or craving for sweet, sugary treats. In fact, he’d even go as far as to say he’s not at all a fan of candy. Well, much to his yet to be known delight, his partner Y/N takes that as a personal challenge.
Requested by Anon. Hi dear! Thank you so much for your lovely request! So sorry it’s taken me so long to write and post it but here it finally is and I hope you come across it and read it despite the long time that’s passed. If you do, I hope you enjoy it! Love, Vy ❤
“Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel!“ Y/N gives the camera a wave and blows it a quick kiss with their lips stretched in a delighted grin. They clap their hands together, turning to look at their guest who’s sitting in a chair on their right, his face covered with a sticker in the final cut of the video that their viewers have the opportunity of watching. “Ok, before we address the elephant in the room, I’m gonna ask the elephant himself not to move his head too much cause this is already gonna take a long time to edit, the last thing I need is to animate that sticker over your face to follow your movement.“
“Got it, babe.“ A deep voice replies obediently, earning an approving hum in response. However, just as Y/N’s about to turn to face the camera again, the mysterious - ok, not THAT mysterious - guest leans down and plants a kiss on their cheek.
“Brat!“ They squeal as they turn to glare at the person with narrowed eyes. He doesn’t appear bothered at all, chuckling as he wraps his arms around them in an attempt to soften them up. Sadly, his tries fall through as they proceed to ignore his affection instead of reciprocating it for the sake of being petty, “Everyone, this is my boyfriend Corpse.“
“Hello, I am hand.“ Corpse says, slowly waving his hand at the camera, “I shall be your entertainment tonight.“
“Oh this is no entertainment, I have a point to prove here.“ Y/N argues, breaking free from his arms before they bend down to pick up one of the two boxes that are resting by their feet. “You see, Corpse and I got in a bit of a scrap last night...“ they trail off, distracted by the contents of the box that’s now resting on their lap.
“I didn’t think me admitting to not liking sweet stuff would provoke such a dramatic reaction from Y/N but here we are.“ He interferes, lifting a finger in the air as though that will help him be heard better or would protect him in case his partner decided to go off at him.
Y/N just ignores his input yet again, continuing to address the camera, aka their audience, “So as you guys may or may not know, my mom’s Korean and my dad’s Japanese. Since they live in their respective countries for work purposes, that means I’m always one phone call - and a little bit of a wait - away from Korean and Japanese snacks at all times. I’m a person who constantly has a snack by their side so you can bet I make that phone call often. However, about a week ago, I made that call specifically for candy, the brands I was obsessed with as a kid. I don’t know what came over me but I think it was my fortuneteller sense kicking in because this mister over here decided to CASUALLY bring up the fact that he doesn’t like candy.” They turn to glare at him before continuing, “Anyways, so luckily, the package arrived only recently so I haven’t had the time to tear open all the candy and eat it all by myself as I was planning to. That being said, today I’ll be in introducing Corpse to the world of Japanese and Korean candy - a tighter circle of it, to be specific: the candy I grew up with.” They finally turn to Corpse again, the look on their face significantly different and a lot more pleasant compared to the one they gave him a bit ago. “So, how are you feeling, babe? Are you excited?”
Although the man’s face is blocked to the viewers, Y/N can still see him and they are pretty damn close to bursting out in a fit of laughter. “I don’t know how to feel, actually. I know you have peculiar taste so it’s either gonna be a fun experience or I’m gonna very displeased with what you’ll have me try.“
Y/N rolls their eyes, “Trust me, you won’t be.” They put a reassuring hand on his shoulder, only half humoring his nervousness, “You’ll only be trying six on camera, but my parents sent a ton more which you’ll be able to try later, ok? It was really hard for me to pick only six favorites by I don’t need this video crossing the twenty minute mark.”
With a heavy-hearted sigh, Corpse finally brings himself to rip the band-aid off and get this adventure started. “Ok cool, but don’t surprise me with anything, please. Show me what you had in mind to have me try so I can, you know, prepare myself.”
Y/N, who was busy taking out packets of candy just a moment ago suddenly stops in their movements to give him a look of disbelief, “You know none of these are poisonous, right? Like, I’m not trying to kill you or anything. There’s no cyanide, no rat poison...”
His laughter cuts them off, wrapping his arm around them and pulling them closer again, “I’m messing with you, babe. What you got for me?” He says, placing a quick kiss to their temple while sneaking a peek at the packaging of the candies they’re holding right now.
Wiggling a little looser in his grip, they first show him the three items before turning them to the camera, “These are from my mom, she sent them from Korea and they are triggering a massive wave of nostalgia right now, not gonna lie.” They giggle, adjusting the brightness a little so the products can be seen properly, “Ok so first we have the long biscuit sticks that come in many flavors but I asked for my favorite - green tea flavored, that is. Then we have Pumpkin Monaca which are probably one of my most favorite sweet treats of all time. I think you’re gonna really like them. And lastly from Korea we have these butter waffles which I used to eat for breakfast when I was running late for school - which happened often.”
Corpse snorts, “That doesn’t surprise me.”
His remark is overlooked as Y/N continues, now taking out three packets from the other package, “Now we’re moving on to my dad’s box. He didn’t disappoint either: we have soda-flavored jelly beans; Black Thunder chocolate bars which you’re only gonna steal one of because the rest are MINE; and last but definitely not least we have some classic milk candies.” Setting those down as well, they turn to Corpse yet again, this time giving his a mischievous smile that’s promising him trouble, “So, Mr. Corpse Husband, after this introduction, are you prepared to have your entire opinion o sweet food changed? And more importantly, are you prepared to develop an addiction to these treats?”
Corpse nods confidently, “Oh, I’m very prepared, thank you. Let’s just get on with it.”
Needless to say: boy, was he not as prepared as he thought he was.
It goes without saying Y/N proved their point and took the win today.

I saw on one of your post that said to send you prompts sooo... can I request A childhood friend AU either Felix or Marinette moves away and then reuniting in college in France at age 14 in Felix's school with the Quantic Kids.
It was a pretty normal day, which probably meant something was going to happen. If it wasn’t a normal day, something was bound to happen as well; life in Paris hadn’t been normal in months. It being a normal day meant that Marinette was late. Super late. Way, way, so very late she might as well be early for the next thing kind of late. So late that- (oh, she’s beginning to catch onto why she’s so late.)
She knew even as she was shoving toothpaste into her bag for Tikki and brushing her teeth with frosting (wait, switch that) that she would be late, and her erratic movements were enough to convince her parents to write her an excuse. Not that anyone could blame her; she had to deal with three akumas in one night. Three akumas. Who could blame her, or anyone for that matter, for being late when there were three emotionally-stunted teens each wreaking havoc upon the city? It was a wonder that anyone else got to class on time, except for Alya, who Marinette was pretty sure didn’t sleep.
Marinette kissed both parents goodbye, thanking them again for the excuse note. They shoved a box of pastries into her hands, as was their habit whenever she didn’t leave school fast enough.
They had done it since her first day at her new school, when she was tiny and frightened of new people; having the same best friend since birth would do that. Her father had shoved a box of macaroons in her arms and her mother placed a bracing arm on her back. They told her what to do and she tried her hardest to follow their instructions, standing up straight at the front of the class, introducing herself, and offering cookies. Unfortunately, that was the same day Chloe Bourgeois was joining public school, and compared to cookies, her offer of money to ten year-olds wasn’t all that effective. And Chloe was excellent at holding a grudge.
Of course, she ended up with friends: Alya, Nino, Adrien, and everyone in art class, but it was hard to go about her first couple years of school without anyone in her corner. Becoming Ladybug really gave her the boost of confidence she needed to break out of her shell and make new friends, and now she had a whole class full.
She stopped in the classroom to put her stuff away, pausing for a second to breathe. How was she out of shape? She’s Ladybug, for heavens’ sakes! Those three akumas really took it out of her. Luckily enough, she had gym class up next. (Can you hear the sarcasm?)
“Girl! Where have you been?” Alya smiled up at her from where she was stretching her hamstrings.
“Sorry Alya, slept in too much.” She fell into place beside her, choosing one of the more advanced stretches to accomplish instead. “Three akumas yesterday; couldn’t get much sleep.”
“You need to get over yourself, Mari. Ladybug and Chat Noir always win against the akumas, this fear of yours is ridiculous.” Alya glanced at her with an incredulous look, but when she saw her intense yoga pose, the look shifted and she yelled over her shoulder. “Adrien! Get over here! Marinette’s doing her physics-defying stuff again!”
Adrien joined them, laughing at Alya’s exaggerated despair. “It’s really not that hard. You just have to-” He fell into the position easily and began matching her movements. “There.”
“How on EARTH?” Alya shrieked and threw herself to the right, toppling into Nino, who was in a shaky warrior two. They ended up in a heap on the floor, Alya staring in horror at the two still upright and Nino staring bewildered at his girlfriend. “How are you two doing that?”
“Well, I don’t know about Marinette,” Adrien moved into an upward dog, “but father insisted that I be physically active in some way and my mother used to do yoga. So I picked it up.”
Nino leaned close to Alya’s ear. “I’m not sure whether to add this to the reasons Gabriel sucks’ list or be happy he has this thing with his mom.”
“Both I guess?”
“What about you Marinette?” He moved into a handstand-like position. “Why do you know all this stuff?”
My superhero moonlighting requires me to be as stretchy as a rubber band, so my partner, who is also a furry, taught me yoga. “My first best friend and I learned tai chi, and this just felt like the next step.” Not a lie, just not why she chose yoga.
“Okay, you’re fine.” Alya pointed a finger between them both. “But next time you do something weird, I’m starting a cryptid blog about you.”
“You don’t have the guts.” Marinette leaned in and Adrien flipped down to join her. It felt familiar, like deja vu; not her crush, she killed that with fire once he started dating Kagami.
“Heey!” Nino opened his arms in front of them. “Let’s change the subject, what about that new student?”
“There’s a new student?” Marinette turned to the rest of the class, who were all stretching dutifully. No new faces whatsoever. “Where are they?”
“Not here, he went to the office over a scheduling conflict. Seems like a jerk.” Alya pulled an arm behind her head, glaring with derision in the direction of the office.
“Alya, don’t.” Adrien nudged her with a foot. “First impressions don’t mean anything, right Marinette?” He shot her a playful glance.
“Don’t remind me.”
“That one was a misunderstanding. Mister Ice Cold over there doesn’t even say a word, just nods and walks into the back of the class. At least Adrien did something and he asked for forgiveness afterwards. Frosty doesn’t even look at us.” With that final comment, Alya joined the rest of the class in dodgeball.
“Is she alright?” Adrien side-eyed her.
“Yeah, she just really hates people acting superior to her. Let’s go.” Marinette shrugged it off and joined her in picking teams.
Dodgeball was a mess; it always was. The entirety of the class had been akumatized at one point, and some of the strategic prowess remained. Marinette’s team always won, which everyone attributed to her agility, but it was really that Ladybug had more practice in strategy. The only way the teams could be considered even was if Adrien was against her.
She still won; she always won. When it was all over, each team, sweating and exhausted, gravitated to the center line to shake hands and congratulate one another on a game well played. Adrien met her in the middle with a weary smirk. His hair was disheveled, but there was a spark in his eyes that made him seem more familiar than he already was.
“I almost got you that time.” He gripped her hand tight.
“All that training with Kagami is really upping your game.” She quipped, shaking his hand. “Better luck next time.”
With that promise of another match, everyone vacated the gym to the locker rooms, where Alya continued to warn Marinette against the new student.
“Even Chloe doesn’t like him and he seems like the kind of rich boy that would be right up her alley.”
“Alya, I get it. You aren’t the new guy’s biggest fan.”
“And the feeling’s mutual too.” She griped.
“So just don’t talk to him; it works with Chloe. Why not this guy too?” She wrapped an arm around her shoulder and led her to their desk.
“Fine, but I don’t have to like it.”
“You don’t have to like him either.” She pulled out her notebook and began writing down the date.
Before Alya could make another passive aggressive comment about the mystery new boy, Miss Bustier walked in, the usual skip in her step. “Class, I know I already introduced you to our new student but since some of us weren’t here for the first period,” Marinette ducked her head with a sheepish smile, “I’ve decided there’s nothing better than a redo. So, here’s Mister Culpa, introducing himself again.”
Culpa?
A boy with pale blond hair and paler skin strode into the room. He wore what could only be called business-casual, all monochrome. His eyes were a one-in-a-million breathtaking ice blue.
Culpa?
“Hello.” His eyes scanned the room emotionlessly. “As I previously said, my name is Felix Culpa and I am from-” He stopped when he reached her. “Nette?”
“Felix.” She breathed, barely even daring to say it louder, lest he disappear.
He was a blur, climbing the steps and reaching her in the time it took her to stand. There were no words when they hugged, other than the other’s name. She was on the tips of her toes, pressing her forehead to his collarbone. Felix got tall.
“I missed you.” He whispered, squeezing just a little tighter.
“I missed you too.” She laughed, pulling back to see his face. He was crying. She was crying.
“What in Ladybug’s name is happening?” Alya’s shout broke them from whatever pocket dimension they were inhabiting together. “You two know each other?”
“Alya, this is Felix.” She turned to look at her, hand still on Felix’s shoulder. “He was my best friend from birth to ten.”
“Was?” He bumped her hip with his. “Didn’t know I’ve been replaced, Netta.”
“I couldn’t contact you after I moved! I was ten and your mom never told us what her new number was.” She punched his elbow. “What are you doing here?”
“My family moved. I didn’t know you were in this area too; imagine my surprise when I see what the current events in Paris are and find out that there are superheroes and my best friend is now a borderline celebrity.” He chuckled, running a hand through his hair.
“We have to catch up some time.” She grabbed his arm.
“Certainly, maybe not here and now, though.” He gestures to the class around them, avidly watching the exchange.
“Right.” She released his arm and rubbed the back of her head awkwardly. “Coffee and macarons later then? My place?”
“I would like nothing more.” He quirked a smile that would seem tiny to anyone else, but to Marinette was as bright as the sun. “Until then.” Felix squeezed her hand and moved to the back of the class with a little wave.
She returned it, a goofy smile definitely on her face as she sat back down.
“Well,” Miss Bustier coughed, “since Felix has been so thoroughly introduced to everyone else, I suppose I should start the lesson.” And she dove into a spiel about the first World War.
“Dang, girl. Is it just me, or do you have a date after class?” Alya whispered to her from behind her textbook.
“It’s not a date! We’re just catching up.”
“Sure.”
She spared a quick glance at Felix, who was nose-deep in his book, just like when they were kids. He had such sharp features, and upon reconsideration, his eyes looked even more beautiful than she remembered. Felix grew up just fine without her. Really fine, in fact.
It took Marinette a couple seconds to realize she was staring, and when she did, her head turned back to the front of the room so fast she swore she heard a snap.
This was... going to be complicated.

masterlist
plot: the team is dying to meet Spencer’s new girlfriend, not knowing how different you are from him
warnings: my writing, this is a mess in its entirerly idek what I did I had an idea and I just went with it with no plan, oh and pure fluff
word count: 3,5k
"How does she look like?" Asked Garcia to Spencer as he tried to ignore all of the team on his neck, trying to find out the most they can about the doctor's new girlfriend. "Is she brunette? Or blonde? You have a thing for blondes."
"I don't have— why do you guys care anyway?" He tried to defend himself and make them stop asking more questions. "I have a girlfriend, so what?"
"So what?" Repeated Morgan, sitting on top of the paperwork Spencer was filling, making the doctor even more annoyed. "You have a girlfriend, pretty boy! It's a national matter. We are going to find out how she looks like you want it or not."
And that was going to happen sooner than Reid would want to, because when Hotch announced the new case and told them that the place where they were going.
Your hometown.
"Oh crap," Spencer murmured to himself when Hotch revealed the location, making the rest of the team look at him.
Morgan was the one who connected the dots as he knew that Reid's girlfriend wasn't from the city.
"We are visiting Pretty Boy's girlfriend's house, everybody."
He continued to shook his head; this couldn't be happening.
Hotch had to pick up this case on purpose. The only logical explanation for the tragedy that this was for the doctor.
During the whole trip, Emily and Morgan were constantly interrogating Spencer about his girlfriend.
"What does she do? Is she younger? Is she older?" Questioned Emily, but Spencer had his eyes on his book, ignoring their questions.
"Hey!" Exclaimed Hotch, grabbing everyone's attention. "Garcia booked our rooms in the inn of the town. The sheriff told us that there isn't enough room for us in the police station, and the manager welcomed us to install ourselves in the event hall."
"You spoke to the manager?" Questioned Spencer in a low tone, catching Prentiss and Morgan's attention.
"Garcia did," replied Hotch, looking at his phone.
"It's the manager, isn't it?" Asked Emily with a smile, but Spencer returned to his reading. "We are definitely going to meet her, kid, you can't hide behind your books forever."
"I can try," answered Reid, knowing that Emily was right.
They were going to meet you at some point.
------------------------------------------------------------------
"Spencer!" Exclaimed a woman as she ran towards the doctor and hugged him. "Long time, no see."
"Hey Amanda, how are you doing?" Asked her Reid, knowing that his friends were watching. "How is your little boy?"
"He's doing great. I want to know how you are. Who are these people you brought with you?" Questioned Amanda, looking at the team behind Spencer.
"It's my team. I work for the FBI, remember? We are here on a case."
"A case? What happened?"
But Spencer wasn't able to answer because he was interrupted by the sound of the door of the kitchen opening. From there, the chef and the receptionist got out, one following the other.
"I am not going to cook for six more people! That's it!"
"For God's sake. For the last time, the manager asked for it, we listen," explained the receptionist, who looked around to see the FBI team watching the scene. "They are here!" Yelled in a whisper, making the chef turn around, tiredly.
"Great. Vegetarians?" Everybody shook their heads. "Good! Then I don't have to change the menu."
"We weren't expecting you to do it. Oh my God, Doctor Reid!" Exclaimed the receptionist, making the chef look at the doctor too. Both men smiled at the sight of Reid. "Long time, no see."
"It's good to see you too," said Spencer with a smile. "May the team and I install in the event hall, Seb?"
The receptionist, Seb, nodded.
"Of course, of course. Welcome to the Florence Inn. My name is Sebastian. I'll be available if you have any questions. Doctor Reid, you know the way?"
"Yeah, I'll guide them. Guys, follow me."
"Do I call the owner to let her know you are here, Doctor?"
"Oh, don't worry, I'll just say hi if I see her around. Hey, Sergio!" The chef, Sergio, raised his eyebrows. "Is there any coffee for the team?"
"For you, sir Reid, anything, I'll be right back with hot coffee and food for your team."
"Thank you, Sergio." Spencer turned around and smiled at Amanda. "I need to go now. We'll catch up later."
Spencer guided the team towards the event hall, where the tables were already accommodated for them. Spencer knew that the minute you heard they were coming, you did everything possible to made them as comfortable as possible.
"Reid, do you know everyone in this hotel?" Asked JJ to him, and he nodded.
"Mostly, yeah," he replied, "they are good people."
"That actually can help us with the case," added Hotch, "the people here trust you."
Spencer was feeling every second more uncomfortable with this case. He's tried for the nine months you've been dating to keep his work and your relationship as separate as possible.
Guess they were joining for the first time.
"Ok, we know the unsub is a male and that he isn't choosing these victims randomly," affirmed Rossi.
"The victimology is all over the place," added Morgan, looking at the physical characteristics of the three victims. "These victims have nothing in common."
"The patron has to go further than the physical, more with the relationship between them," explained Spencer. "This is a man with a project. He is probably not killing for the pleasure of it, more for a particular goal."
"Why do the town people not know about the killings. That woman that said hi to Reid had no idea of why we were here," pointed Emily.
"Probably that's work of the mayor, Mister Downley," replied Reid. "He tries to keep everything that can affect the town's tourism under the table. It has always been that way. And it is actually surprising that they don't know about it. It's a small town. Everyone knows everyone."
"We should interview the mayor and the media," affirmed Hotch, and he always had the last word. "Anyone that is trying to keep this in private could be a suspect."
At that moment, Sergio and his cookers appeared with the food and coffee they promised, making the team stay quiet as they gave out the food.
"Here is your coffee, sir Reid. A quarter cup of coffee every five pounds of sugar." Reid laughed while the chef left the cup in front of him.
"Leave the doctor alone, Sergio," asked Seb to the chef, making Sergio roll his eyes and leave the hall. "Doctor Reid, Sheriff Christen called. He is waiting for you and your team at the police station. Whenever you are ready."
"Thanks, Seb." The team started grabbing their things to go to the station. "Tell Sergio that the coffee and the food are great."
"Yes, Doctor, and also, your team has the best rooms at the inn. Owner's orders. Do you want me to tell her anything?"
"Just thank you," replied Spencer, grabbing his bag, "thanks, Seb."
"Anything for you, Doctor."
Spencer walked away next to the team, who was staring at him curiously.
"What?" He asked.
"They call you sir, they know how do you drink your coffee, they prepare the best rooms for you and your friends," pointed out Emily as you were walking. "Or they love you..."
"Or, they love your girlfriend," interrupted Morgan.
"Can we just focus on the case, please?" Begged Spencer as he walked towards the SUVs. "Don't read between unexistent lines, ok?"
"He is hiding something," whispered Morgan.
"Definitely," replied Hotch before entering the car.
--------------------------------------------------------------
"Doctor Spencer Reid," said the sheriff standing up. He was a man between his fifties and sixties, with a grumpy face and a hoarse voice. "It's always a pleasure to see you in this old town."
"Hello, sheriff," interrupted Hotch. "I'm SSA Hotchner, we spoke on the phone."
"Oh, of course, right. I'm Sheriff Christen, this is my crew. Sorry that you had to install in at the inn. It's just that here we don't have any space. But I assume the owner is glad to see you, Doc."
"Haven't talked to her yet. Why did you call us?"
"Right, we did a suspect list with all the people in town that have criminal records, as you told us. We have thirty-five names, any idea how to shorten that list?"
"Our unsub is most likely in his 30s, obviously male, probably have been charged with robbery. We are not looking for a sexual sadist here since the killings lack any sexual motive," explained Hotch, and the sheriff nodded, telling his deputy.
Spencer sat down on a chair, waiting for no one else to say hi to him in front of the team. He loved these people so much, but he wanted to stay focus on the case, and he couldn't if he was going to have every person in town recognizing him and greeting him.
You were loved in your home town. These people that learned how to love Spencer grew up with you, and they truly liked the doctor for you. They noticed how he makes you happy, and how, for the last nine months, you've been smiling more.
"Hey, Spencer."
"Howdie, doc."
"Hey," Spencer murmured to the cops as they passed. Morgan noticed this and decided to approach Reid, sitting next to him.
"Why don't you want us to meet your girlfriend? Clearly, she's loved here."
Reid exhaled, looking at his colleague, giving up.
"Fine, but please, don't... don't act surprised when you meet her, ok? Just act normal. And tell everyone."
Morgan nodded, confused. What did he mean with "surprised"? Why would he react that way
"Guys, let's go back to the inn, there's someone I want you to meet."
"We are finally going to meet the famous lady?" Questioned Rossi, and Spencer nodded slowly. "Then let's go."
"Shouldn't we work the case?"
"We are installed in the inn anyway, so just follow me."
JJ and Emily approached Morgan, and he told them what Reid told him.
The team had no idea what Spencer meant with "surprised," and most of them didn't want to know anyway. They were just too excited to meet the girl they've been hearing so many amazing stories about
The BAU arrived at the inn. JJ could notice how Spencer's hands started trembling: he was nervous.
"B-But... But Miss Y/N!" They heard Sebastian exclaim. To the distance, the team could identify the receptionist following a tall woman with curly hair as she walked quickly. It was you. "Miss Y/N, we can't let Mayor Downley have the party here at the inn! He is a messy, messy man. He is going to leave a complete disaster, and you, miss, are well aware that this is not a place for that kind of event."
"God, Seb, have you tried drinking herbal tea in the morning instead of coffee?" You asked him as you chuckled. The sound of your soft laugh grabbed the doctor's attention.
Spencer quickly turned around to look at his friends, desperation clearly showing in his face.
"Here she comes," he whispered.
"That is...?" Started to ask Morgan but was interrupted by the memory of Spencer telling him to not act surprised.
You stepped into the hall, connecting your eyes with Spencer's eyes, immediately smiling.
"You look tired." It's the thing you say, confusing your boyfriend. "Did Sergio offered you coffee? Did you offer Spencer coffee, Seb?"
"I did, indeed, boss."
"I already drank coffee, babe," whispered Reid, trying not to blush. "Y/N, I want you to meet my friends."
"What? Sure, coming in a sec. Seb, could you ask Amanda to tell Charlie to pick up my car? I forgot I came by foot today."
"I saw your car outside, Y/N," interrupted Spencer, now confusing you.
"Charlie brought it this morning, Miss," reminded you Seb, and you nodded.
"God, where do I have the head? Thanks, Seb." You smiled at him before walking towards Spencer. "I've been trying to talk to you all morning, but we keep missing each other."
"Y/N," he said with his calming voice. You liked hearing someone that actually was calmed once in a while, especially him. "These are my friends. Rossi, Hotch, JJ, Morgan, and Emily." He introduced you to them, and you nodded. "Guys, this is my girlfriend."
"It is a pleasure to meet you. I'm Y/N," you greeted them, giggling. "I'm sorry if I seem distracted. My toes are where my head is supposed to be and the other way around. It's just that, you wouldn't believe; Mayor Downley wants to have this found raiser at the inn to distract the people from the bodies that were found. Did you hear?"
"That's why I'm here actually, babe," whispered Spencer.
"Why would you be here to see dead bodies? Oh right! FBI!" You exclaimed as you remember. "I'm so sorry, guys, you've caught me in a terrible day."
"It's alright, Y/N," assured you Hotch. "What were you saying about the mayor?"
"What I was saying about..." you repeated in a whispered before remembering. "Oh, yeah. So the murders in the area are really frightening the people. So our mayor decided, at the last minute, to make a found raiser raise money for the funerals of the deceased. I think it is a runaway where the clothing shop is going to show their last collection. It's a very last-minute thing, and I, apparently, is the only one with enough space to welcome all the freaking town."
"Do you know why the mayor would want to do this?"
"Well, Downley always takes advantage of terrible events in town and throws a party to cease the panic," you tried to explain quickly. "Last time, some people stole from Charlie's diner, and here I was, organizing a silent auction on a random Thursday." You started accomodating Spencer's tie involuntarily. "He wants to be Gatsby, but I'm the one with the mansion."
You always had to be doing something; you couldn't stay still for a second. That's the reason Spencer was attracted to you in the first place. He saw a girl trying to do seven things at the same time while trying to fix five other problems, and he had to help you. Then, he fell for you eloquent and extrovert personality, and how anywhere you went, you made friends.
You two were complete opposites, and both of you truly loved that.
"But don't get me wrong: mayor Downley is a great guy."
"What is mister Downley's first name, Y/N?" You tried to remember it while you cleaned Spencer's shirt.
You were doing unconsciously, and he knew, but still let you. He knew that keeping your hands busy was the only way you could focus. So he let you touch his hair and fix his sleeves all the time.
"If I'm not wrong, I think it is John."
"There is a Frank Downley in our list," mentioned Morgan.
"That would be his nephew, Frankie. He works at the grocery store, he is the manager there. I went to school with him."
"How was he at school?"
"Quiet, kind of a loner. Mister Downley would spend hours and hours in the counselor's office, talking to the counselor about Frankie's social behavior. Everyone in school knew about it. I tried to be friends with him, but I think he didn't like me."
Emily took from the case files some pictures and showed them to you. Spencer held your hand as you stared at the photographs of the victims.
"Do you recognize any of these people?"
"Well, of course, we went to school together. Good people. That's Amelie, and that's Jack, and this one right here is Gabriel, funny guy. Why?"
"Y/N," murmured Spencer to you, "those are the victims. The bodies that were found."
Suddenly, for the first time in so long, you stopped moving. Like, at all.
"What?"
"You didn't know?"
"I heard some rumors about one of the victims being my age, but... it can't be. Who would do this?"
"Y/N, I want you to tell us everything about Frank Downley."
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"And that's it, I mean, maybe some of the employers at the inn can tell you more about him. As I told you, I didn't know him that well. He never liked me, or anyone, in fact. He was always alone; he didn't talk in class; he would skip periods every now or then, but I truly don't remember anything more." You looked at Spencer. "I'm sorry."
"It's alright, Y/N, you gave us more than enough to understand him." That calmed voice again. "I bet you are busy with the found raiser stuff. Hey, do you mind if the team and I assist and watch the runaway?"
"You guys are more than welcomed."
At that moment, Charlie appeared and tried to pass between the BAU.
"Sorry to interrupt the Men in Black fan club reunion. Y/N, I brought my toolbox."
"Dirty!" You exclaimed in a joke, making Charlie roll his eyes. "The runaway is going to be in the event hall."
"Where the hell is that?" You sighed.
"I'll be right back. I'll tell Sergio to serve you some coffee, for every one of you," you told the team before looking at your friend Charlie. "Follow me, handyman."
Charlie looked at Spencer.
"Hey, Doc, I tried that physics thing for the dispenser at the diner and worked just fine."
"Glad to help, Charlie."
"Hey, I don't pay you to socialize," you defended as you walked away, Charlie following you.
"You don't pay me at all!" He defended.
The team looked over at Spencer. Your life was so clearly different from theirs, and Spencer knew that the team will realize the same thing.
"Well, there's that," whispered the doctor, standing up. "You already met her."
"Yeah, we did," agreed Morgan, "why didn't you want us to meet her before?"
"She's great, Reid," affirmed Emily, "a little bit unfocused, talks a bit fast, and clearly an extrovert, but she's sweet. And owns an inn."
"And she is gorgeous," added JJ, "why were you so nervous?"
Not even Spencer knew the answer to that question.
"She's different, you know? Her life is different than mine. She's continually moving. It's so difficult for me to make her stay still. She has to be doing something all the time. I've never seen her not talking, or not making random jokes and doing pop culture references I don't understand most of the time. Her life is so fast compared to mine that it's so slow. I don't know, maybe I thought you weren't going to see her the way I see her."
"Who cares what we think, Reid?" questioned Rossi.
"I do. I spend 24 hours every day with you, guys, you are my family. I care about what you think."
Morgan hugged Reid even though he knew Spencer wasn't much of a hugger, but he did anyway. And the rest of the team joined.
"I don't like this," mumbled Spencer.
"Shut up, pretty boy," shushed him, Morgan.
After a few seconds, they broke apart, smiling at each other.
"Let's catch this killer and go home," said Hotch softly, "but we can't leave without getting to know Y/N better."
"Yeah, you are already part of her family; it's time she is part of ours."
--------------------------------------------------------
"And that's how Spencer asked me to be his girlfriend. In this exact spot!" You exclaimed, pointing the counter of Charlie's diner. "As I was swallowing my cheeseburger."
"Well, that sounds romantic," commented Rossi, sarcastically.
"It was very poetic, Rossi, don't misjudge," you told him, making the man laugh. "It doesn't happen any day, and less in this smelly diner."
"Ok, out," interrupted Charlie, making everyone complain between laughs. "You are terrifying my costumers and insulting my diner."
"Weren't you hearing, Charlie Chaplin? I was just saying that Spencer asked me to be his girlfriend here. You should be proud that such an important event happened in your diner," you defended as Spencer kissed you cheek. You grabbed your now second cup of coffee and started drinking. "You should put it on the menu."
"That's it, don't talk to me for the rest of the night. You are giving me a headache."
"Mission accomplished then," you whispered with a smile.
"Is he always this serious?" Asked JJ, and you nodded.
"And you haven't seen him on Christmas. He is indeed the town's Grinch."
"They have a Hotch!" Yelled Rossi, making Spencer almost spill his coffee.
"Haha, hilarious," said Hotch with sarcasm, making the team burst into laughter
Spencer slowly leaned in next to your ear and whispered:
"So, do you like them?"
"Yeah, I have no idea why you were so nervous for me to meet them; they are great. You have a really nice family."
Spencer smiled, kissing your cheek softly before looking at the team again with happiness on his eyes.

PeterParkerBingo2021: square Pet Names (card below)
Thor & Loki
Because Peter had been fairly young when he moved inside the compound, they had put his room next to Tony’s quarters since he was the one in charge of their youngest member. Then one day a door appeared in the middle of his room, connecting it to the Stark’s private quarters. They had a long discussion about boundaries: “Ask before putting doors in my bedroom” and “don’t threaten people because they hurt me” etc. Tony had argued it was easier (it was, but that was not the question) because they spend more and more time together. Which was true.
Tony and Pepper had started to teach Peter some things about business practice. They took him to smaller meetings and introduced him as Tony’s intern; it suited Peter very much. That, plus his patrols, as well as other Avenger business, like training, and his new business classes...Peter was now even busier than he already was.
Except on Sundays. Sundays were days Peter could rest, sleep, visit his aunt May, hang with Ned and MJ, and watch movies with Bucky the other Avengers.
Every Sunday morning, before leaving their quarters, Peter and Tony would eat the most decadent brunch that Peter would let Tony buy him. From all the changes that happened in his life since he got adopted by Tony Stark, Sunday brunches were certainly Peter’s favorites. He loved those calm moments with the man that he admired so much. He also loved that he could put on whatever clothes he wanted because FRIDAY would only let people in the know enter.
That Sunday, they were finishing their meal when Steve entered. He briefly stopped at the soft pink hoodie, gray and pink plaid skirt, and long white socks Peter was wearing before dismissing it and greeting the two men.
“So, Steve, what can we do for you?” Tony asked, forgoing the pleasantries. Peter knew Tony hated being interrupted during Sunday brunches, and saw that Steve started to move from one leg to the other, a bit nervous. Peter frowned.
“Oh, I-I mean, I wanted to apologize for-” Peter tried to interrupt Steve, he had told him many times that Steve was forgiven, but the man was stubborn and didn’t let him talk. “I know, you already told me, but I- I made this for you.” Steve gave Peter a piece of paper.
On the paper was a beautiful drawing of Peter in the purple dress that he had been wearing when Steve had discovered his secret. Peter was startled out of his stunned silence when his dad gently took the paper from his hands.
Tony simply whistled when he saw the drawing. “Aunt Peggy had told me you could draw, Rogers, but this is something else.” Steve looked at Tony, in shock.
“Au-Aunt Peggy? But you-you weren’t-”
Tony snorted, irked. “I went to her grave later, Rogers, because there was an emergency, and if there was something Aunt Peggy could understand, it was emergencies. She was Howard’s friend, and my godmother.” Peter, who had been told the story, silently stroked his dad’s back in support as he continued. “We also fought a lot when you came back.” Steve opened his mouth to speak, but Tony didn’t let him. “Not that it’s any of your business, Capsicle, but who do you think covered the truth about Howard’s death? Who do you think had enough power for that? Peggy Carter. She let me think my father killed my mom because he was a fucking alcoholic.”
Steve looked as if he had swallowed a lemon, grimacing. “I didn’t know. I am sorry, Tony.”
Tony lifted his hand. “I don’t want to talk about it anymore.” He lifted the paper with Steve’s drawing on it, looking at it pensively. “You’re very talented. We should make you an art studio. There is an empty room with great lighting.” Tony turned to Peter to watch him. “What d’you think kid? Wanna design it?”
Peter felt excited to be offered this opportunity; he nodded with way too much enthusiasm. It made Tony smile, proud.
“You’re gonna make some blueprints, and we will see with the Captain what he needs and likes. No, Cap, don’t argue, it will be good training for the kid. Now, Steve, if you don’t mind, I was having brunch with my kid.”
Peter only had 30 seconds to thank Steve for the drawing and promise him he would make the best art studio there was before Steve left. After Brunch, Peter framed the drawing and put it on his shelf with the piece of his first skirt and the picture of his dad in a dress.
--
Later that day, while Peter and Tony were looking at a movie, before heading out for a diner with Aunt May, someone crashed into their quarters through the window.
Tony was ready to fight in seconds; his watch changed into a piece of armor around his right fist, while his left arm pushed Peter behind him, only to find that it was Thor, son of Odin, that had crashed on the ground. Peter couldn’t help but find it kind of cute that his dad would try to protect Peter with his body when Peter could take the most damage.
“For fuck’s sake, Point Break, what the ever-loving fuck?” Tony let the gauntlet recede back into his watch and put his hand on his heart. “I have a heart condition, you know? And we have doors. FRI, baby, tell everyone in the compound there is no immediate emergency. Put the compound in code orange until further notice,” Tony turned to look at Peter, seeing the pink skirt, the hoodie, and the panicked glances his kid was giving, then added, “Tell them there is no need to come and lock the quarters immediately.”
Peter relaxed some and started to play with the hem of his skirt.
“I apologize, Man of Iron. It seems like I missed the door.” Thor stood up from where he had crashed, and he opened his arms to hug Tony. “It has been too long my friend. How are you doing?” Tony frowned, but he let the god hug him.
After they separated, Tony started to give instructions to FRIDAY for the reparations while Thor turned to look at Peter. There were a few seconds where Thor paused to take in how Peter was dressed before he widened his eyes.
Before Peter could react, Thor bowed deeply before speaking. “Good day, Lady Peter.”
Peter winced. Why would he be a lady? Just because he was wearing a skirt?
“I-I, no, Thor. I-I am a man.” Peter hated how his voice shivered.
Thor righted himself, beaming at Peter as if nothing had just happened. “Good, how are you doing Man of Spiders?”
Peter looked at the god, completely lost by what had just happened. “I-I am fine? Thank you, mister Thor,” Peter said with a small voice.
The god nodded happily. “I am happy to hear that.” Thor promptly turned to Tony. “Man of Iron, I am in great need of a favor.”
Tony scowled looking at the damage. “Is it more important than repairing the hole in my wall?”
Thor’s face became serious in a blink, making Peter shiver. “I am afraid it is really important, my friend,” Thor said in a deep voice.
--
The meeting had been going on for hours, and Peter was exhausted.
Thor wanted their help to get some information out of his brother Loki. The Asgardians had a reason to think that Loki hadn’t been the one behind the invasion and could even have been a victim of the scepter like Barton and the others, but Loki wouldn’t talk. Thor hoped that maybe someone on Earth could help them because they had tried everything.
The news was welcomed by an uproar, led by Hawkeye and Fury, and had calmed down after Thor had explained that if his fears were correct, there was something worse coming to Earth. He also promised that they wouldn’t need to bring Loki for them to interrogate him and that there was a magic mirror they could use to talk to him.
It was decided the mirror would be locked in Tony’s lab, the most secure room at the compound.
However, they all forgot Peter had unlimited access to the room.
--
The first time Peter saw Loki, Peter was walking along the glass walls of the main lab. He could see Natasha and Maria Hill looking frustrated at a mirror. In the mirror, there was a gorgeous woman with long, raven black hair; she had piercing green eyes, green lipstick, and she was wearing a stunning, black leather dress.
If Peter hadn’t been gay, and stupidly in love attracted to Bucky, he knew that he could have fallen for this beautiful lady.
Then his brain started to work again and realization clicked: The woman was Loki. Loki was wearing (and rocking) a dress. He looked like a woman, but how? When she/he/the God of Mischief saw Peter, they winked. Peter startled and simply walked faster to the B-Lab where Bruce was waiting for him.
--
Peter couldn’t get Loki out of his mind. The God didn’t look uncomfortable wearing a dress or looking like a woman in front of his enemies.
After some days, Peter decided to go to the main source of information about Loki: Thor.
“Oh, yes, Loki sometimes, uhm, switches? Mother always said to respect the gender he looks like, but you know that Loki is my brother, so it was difficult at first.” Thor massaged his neck, uneasy. “But then, Loki started to play vicious pranks on the people who would call him a man when he was dressed like a woman. So, I learned to, uh, call Loki a lady when he wears a dress.”
And then Peter understood. “That's why you called me a lady the other day!”
Thor nodded. “But luckily you don’t ask me to call you a woman.”
Peter frowned. “Why do you say luckily? I mean, I don’t think there is anything wrong with asking someone to call you a woman if… you feel like a woman?” Thor, confused, looked at Peter and was about to reply, but Tony (since when had he been in the room?) answered first, making Peter and Thor startle.
“No, there is nothing wrong, Peter. Loki is genderfluid, which means that they don’t identify themself as having a fixed gender.” Tony, who was at the door, walked into the room and up to Peter. “We asked Loki and he said you could use the pronouns depending on what he looks like. It’s easier because Loki is a shifter, and can change depending on his moods. But if you ever meet another genderfluid person, you can just ask them what gender they identify with at that moment.”
Peter nodded. It made sense.
Thor looked a bit crushed when he started to speak again. “So, it’s not only Loki?” Tony simply shook his head. “Oh. I think I need to talk to my br-Loki.” With those words, the god left the room.
--
Peter did some research about genders - Tony helped - and he concluded that he was a man that liked to cross-dress and that there was nothing wrong with that. Peter had felt very loved that his dad, who was always so busy, had taken the time to explain all of those terms to Peter until they found the ones that felt right.
But Peter was a curious person, and it was what led him to be bitten by a radioactive spider in the first place... Peter wanted to talk to Loki. He wanted to talk about the dress, and about being genderfluid. He knew that the god was not a good being, but Loki was already in prison. What could go wrong?
--
“The mighty Avengers are sending me a child, now? Interesting.” Loki’s bitter words made Peter flinch. Peter silently closed the door behind him, before he entered the lab.
“No. I- I mean, I am an Avenger, but they didn’t send me.” Peter nervously played with the plaid shirt he was wearing that day.
“Then why are you here?”
Peter lifted his head and looked directly at Loki for the first time. He noted that Loki was in a male form.
“I learned that you are genderfluid. I- I just wanted to talk.”
Loki’s face softened a little bit. “Oh, yes. People of Midgard have been strangely open-minded about it.” His face then hardened again. “What do you want? Do you want to see the shift? Do you want me to become a female?”
Peter winced.
“What? No! Only if it’s what you want. But, no, who would want you to do that? You’re not some kind of animal.” Peter was horrified, just thinking about it. Loki huffed but said nothing, watching Peter with piercing eyes. Peter took a deep breath and gathered his courage. “I-I like to wear dresses. It is called cross-dressing here.”
Loki looked at Peter like he was analyzing Peter’s very soul. “Why are you telling me this, human?” he seemed perplexed.
“I saw you in that dress the last time, and you were gorgeous. I mean, that dress, it looked like it had been made just for you.” Peter couldn’t contain the excitement in his voice. Loki raised an eyebrow, but Peter could see that he was fighting a smile.
“That would be because it was crafted for me. I am a prince of Asgard, little one.” The reply was unexpected, and Peter felt his eyes open with shock that was rapidly replaced by glee.
“Oh yes, my da- Mr. Stark let a tailor come to the tower, and he wanted to tailor some things, but I wasn't ready yet. Mr. Stark said that the man could come back later. ”
Loki didn’t fight his smile this time.
“And why weren’t you ready, yet, dear?”
--
Peter and Loki talked a big part of the night until Peter started to yawn too much, then Loki sent him to his room. As days went on, after his patrol and doing some homework, Peter visited every night to talk about stuff with Loki.
--
“By the Norns! Dear Spider, why would you not simply tell the man that you want him?” Loki asked, sitting against the wall of his prison.
“What? No! He doesn’t feel that way about me,” Peter answered stubbornly while painting his nails with a green nail polish that had been approved by Loki.
“You won’t know until you try, dear.” Peter shrugged and changed the subject.
--
Of course, after a visit one night, they were discovered. While Tony and Natasha (and Bucky) hadn’t been really happy about it, there was nothing they could do or say to change Peter’s mind.
--
“You what?” Peter asked, dumbfounded.
“I stabbed the mongrel,” Loki answered, way too smugly if you asked Peter.
“Because he slapped your ass? Isn’t that a bit extreme?”
“Oh my sweet, sweet, little Spider. If you let men get away with unwanted touching, they will think it is alright to do it again and again. No one should dare touch a lady like that without consequences.” Loki played with the knife that had been in his hand since they started to talk that day.
“Yes, but still, Thor is your brother.” Peter never had had a sibling, but if he had, he wouldn’t have stabbed them, for sure.
“After that, neither Thor, nor any of the savages he called ‘friends’, ever touched me without my consent.” The smile Loki sent his way made Peter shiver.
“Yeah, ok, fair.” The god did heal fast, so Peter guessed that it was okay-ish.
--
Peter had been surprised when a raven had given Peter two identical letters one morning after breakfast. He was even more surprised when the letters ended up being Loki’s complete confession. One had been addressed to ‘The Mighty Avengers’ and the other to ‘Sweet Spider’.
Loki explained how he had fallen into Thanos’ lap after the destruction of the rainbow bridge; he mentioned the torture, the scepter, and how the beating that the Hulk gave him had helped him evade his conditioning. He also laid out Thanos' strengths and weaknesses, including how and when to beat him.
At the end, Loki wrote that he would never have written his confession if it weren’t for Peter.
Peter then took the last page, where Loki had drawn them both and had it framed to be placed on his beloved shelf.

Though the chains of destiny may bind you...
After Eyes of Heaven events...
Synopsis: In a present that was different, different choices were made, and so a different future is ahead.
Warnings: Spoilers of Eyes of Heaven, Canon divergence, character's death, the so called "good ending" (If you find my tears it's because, for me, this is how it all ended in the real show, I will die on this hill).
.
You still couldn't believe him, you were so angered by his foolishness.
"Please, stop doing that face, he promised upon everything that he would never try to harm someone and-" Jonathan shut his mouth at your cold stare.
"And you believed him?"
"Well, using the reaming parts of the stone mask we can control him to some degree"
"And you made him promise upon that to 'only feed from bad people, don't harm the innocent and live a happy life'" okay, saying his same words made your head ache on a totally different level, "he is a lawyer for god's sake, he will find a gap in that and use it to his advantage" Jonathan gasped by your harsh words, "you could have just told him to kill himself-"
"Don't Say such a thing!"
"..." Oh, maybe it was the first time that JoJo raised his voice against you in that way, and to defend Dio to make worse, normally he would just shout out loud if you were doing something dangerous or following him into some of his adventures that, surprise, were dangerous.
"I'm so sorry, I swear, I didn't wanted to-"
"JoJo, it's okay" you put your palm on his cheek and he received the gesture with a smile, in reality you wanted to slap him in the face, make him see that he was giving Dio a big opportunity that he didn't deserve, but this was Jonathan, your JoJo, for him everyone deserved a second chance.
Or in case of Dio, a limitless quantity of opportunity.
"Changing the topic, when is the day?" He didn't catch your idea, looking at you with like a lost puppy, making you chuckle, "you know?" You pointed your fourth finger, a bulb finally ignited on top of his head
"Oh, we still need to talk about it, but I want it to be as soon as possible" he was red, fidgeting like a teenager.
"Take it easy, planning a wedding isn't a joke, Erina is not planning to run away"
"What about you?" Jonathan was now with a tender tone on his voice, looking at you in the same way, "that guy, he is nice person"
Of course your fiance was, even when he was such a shy person he also got himself involved in all this shit, he was able to save Mister Zeppelin and cure Jonathan's wounds in a way that no one could understand.
You swear that Mister Zeppelin was about to die, but your fiance touched him, shouted some kind of word in repeat and he was good as new in a few seconds.
"I still don't understand"
"Me neither, but hey, my future husband is some kind of miracle doctor" your words expressed how proud you felt, your eyes with a lovely sparkle that Jonathan found difficult to ignore when you talked about your fiance.
And of course, Jonathan beat you and he got married first, you a guest of honor, Speedwagon catched the bouquet but he quickly throw it to you, his face red.
"Remember to bring as many souvenirs as possible" Jonathan was soon to enter the boat to his honeymoon, "and I swear that if this shit does something funny I will burn him on the spot" of course, because JoJo wasn't going to be around someone needed to watch over that Dio was out of any trouble, said blond man next to you with a black parasol.
"Try me, you foul mouth" of course, Dio also loved the fact that you needed to watch after him.
"Please, both of you"
"Right, JoJo, remember to eat a lot of iron, your Joestar's blood will help me recuperate faster" the audacity!
"Yeah Dio, don't worry"
"I swear to God, Dio...!" You were so sure that you would age faster thanks to your innocent golden heart boy Jonathan and his leech of a brother.
Where was Speedwagon to help you? no wait, he would only encourage Jonathan on this.
Jonathan returned just in time to your wedding, he almost took your father's place before getting you to the aisle and he wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't have mentioned, "I'm so sorry, sir!" He apologized to your father who only laughed.
JoJo was your husband's best man, and also his friend in a short amount of time, maybe the fact that both were so bizarre helped.
George the second was born a few years before your son, but they were best friends, Erina started a new family tradition, "look here darling, George, Edgar!" She was so invested in having the kids stay still as long as possible so the painter could do a good image of the two, you helped with a Teddy bear on your hands.
It was cute, and the result put Jonathan at the verge of tears.
Dio for the other part, "I'm going to start my own company"
"I'm so happy for you, Dio!" Jonathan had George on his lap, Dio looked disgusted at the baby.
"What are you planning, you blond bitch?" Your own son on your lap, with the same intense eyes looking at the vampire.
"Oh, nothing that you could understand, you brute gun lover"
"Ah? Try me you little-"
"No! Not in front of the kids!" Jonathan, as fast as the light, had both kids on his chest and gave the back to you to prevent them of hearing your dirty mouth.
Golden heart boy Jonathan, who cared for the kids, and also cared for his grandson and your's.
"I swear, Joseph is like you when we were kids" he suffered a lot to put the kid to sleep for his afternoon nap, George and his wife on a date after so long and Erina on the school where she teaches "how come that yours was already fast asleep?.
"Ah no, don't try to put that on my plate, Joseph is a lot like you, always ahead to some kind of danger" you were cooking some cookies to appease the little monster that was the little JoJo, "and Second is a sickly child, only needs a breeze to catch a cold and a high fever"
"Really, you should stop calling your grandkid 'Second'"
"But it came after me and we both share the same name, so 'Second' is perfect" Jonathan remained silent after that, you took a quick glance at him, he still looked like he was in his late 20's, "sometimes I wish to learn that Hamon thing, just look at you, you look so young and Mister Zeppelin is still alive and kicking.
"Sorry, but no, it was too dangerous and it still is, but you learned the basic breath from me, didn't you?"
"Yeah, but I don't feel the magic"
"It's not magic" you looked at him, your glasses almost falling from your nose, "well, I'm sure?"
All of you continued to age, but for Jonathan it was so slow, "I'm almost at my death bed and you only look like you are on your 40's"
"To be honest I feel way more older, Joseph got himself in trouble again, George is on a mission and Elizabeth-"
"She likes to be called Lisa Lisa, JoJo"
"And Lisa Lisa is still on Air Supplena training new kids, I don't want Erina to be angry again, her blood pressure was way too high in her last exam and now Joseph was almost arrested back in America, why did they move to America?" Oh my, Jonathan was again at it, being a mother hen that was still lightly hurt that his son decided to move to America with his beloved Grandson.
You were certain that your Grandkid, Second, would at least get Joseph out of the death ends, but that kid even having your blood and a temperament as hard as steel was just too attached to the rules.
Why did they ended up being so different one of the other but also ended sharing the same brain cell to do so many stupid things?
Jonathan decided that it was better for Joseph to have some discipline and adding your grandkid to the equation, "Hamon is going to put him in the right path and Second is a good child, when they are free they can do tourism in Italy" he was so sure that his plan was gonna be successful, but you and Erina shared a look, Jonathan still thought, after so many problems and disasters, that put Jonathan and Second in the same place was a good idea.
It wasn't, those two ended involved in a bizarre adventure just like the two of you back in the day that almost got them killed, but resulted in the destruction of a sacred Hamon reliquary, the peace between humanity and a strange stone people or something, Joseph beaten like meat for hamburgers and Second expecting a kid.
"And you said that it was going to be a good idea" you laughed out loud, Jonathan had his face on his hands while sitting on a corner, totally devastatedby the news.
Both of you thought that the child that Second was expecting was Joseph's, in reality you kind of expected such a thing to happen, "It wasn't the time that I wanted it to happen but at least he finally noticed that Second is a good child" Erina and you were drinking tea in the garden, totally happy that your grandkids finally noticed the feelings that they were carrying since kids, such a big surprise was for everyone when you learned the true, Joseph was married to an Italian lady and lost a hand while Second was indeed pregnant and had an Italian Casanova boyfriend with the largest criminal record that you've ever seen and that was Lisa Lisa's student, the young looking woman was utterly embarrassed.
"I swear that I was going to tell you all"
"Hey Grandpa, now I'm a Hamon warrior too! I even have my own technics now, just like you, can I have your sword now?"
"I don't care about that, you almost died!"
"Mister Joestar, I got metal pillars out of the earth! It was like magic!"
"Second, what about your future?! What were you thinking when you got in so much danger?! You are so young!"
Jonathan cried in the corner asking himself where did he go wrong, both kids doing the do before marriage and returning home half death, or even worse.
"Joseph Joestar, how could you marry without any member of your family?!"
At the end of the day both Italian kids were good, Dio got a wind of what was happening in the household and contacted Jonathan to make fun of him.
"Suzi is such a kind person" now that everything calmed down Jonathan was drinking tea with you again, now he was expecting his first great grandchild, he had yours on his lap, the baby doing little noises now and then, gaining smiles from the big man "I'm sure that with her at his side, Joseph will be more responsable"
"As if" you still couldn't believe the results of Hamon, now your friend only looked like he was still on his 60's, how unfair.
When Holy was born all the Joestar's household was throw out of the window, she was the first baby girl after decades in the family record, Jonathan was elated and at the first chance that he got he tried to spoil her rotten and put her in little pink dresses.
"The girl isn't a doll, JoJo"
"But look how cute she is"
JoJo was always so happy, so centered in his family, in the joy that they brought to him, so it was an understatement when he lost his bright nature when Erina, his beloved wife, passed away, not even a decade after his best friend, Speedwagon, also was gone.
"I know it's part of life, and I accepted it" he took a seat next to your bed, your body didn't have the strength to move around like before, being prey for all the reckless things you did in your youthful days, "still, is so hard to go on, knowing that I'm going to outlive all of you"
"It's okay, no one is saying that is something bad"
"I miss them so much" his features didn't match with his actual age, almost 100 years old and still looking like a man in his 80's, "I will miss you too"
"Don't worry JoJo" your words took him back at his childhood memories, to the you that had scrapped knees and a fallen tooth, the you that would look for him when he tried to be away of his house, but then he was taken to the you that was a old person, your gray hair in the pillow and your skinny hands touching his, he felt your ring, the one that you carried with pride even after becoming a widow "at the end of the day, everything is going to be alright" you pressed his hand between yours, Jonathan started to cry.
When you were gone, Jonathan was a little lost, there wasn't anyone else, no one that lived by his side to remember his adventure, but then again his family gave him route to see a clear path again.
A clear path full of love that finally lead him again to all of you, just like before, when you would go and take his hand to bring him home.

Mister Nice Guy, part 2
part one
Summary: Shit hits the fan, and the rest of the BAU is done with it.
Word Count: 3523
Reader: he/him trans man, no physical description
Warnings: case involving targeting gay people, brief mention of a child abduction case, coming out/anxiety of experiencing transphobia (no actual transphobia though), alcohol, swearing
@aleccolocco (sorry it took so long to finish lol)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"No, that doesn't make any sense at all, doctor!" you spat his title. "He's not jealous of these couples, killing what he can't have, or a homophobe, punishing gay people for being happy. He's putting an end to their unhappy relationships. He sees it as mercy." Over the months, your cold war with Reid turned into outright conflict, and tonight, alone in the police station in Oregon, was no exception. Hotchner had tasked the two of you with presenting the preliminary profile the next morning, and it was going as well as conversations ever went.
"We have no evidence that he knows they're unhappy, though. All of his victims are clearly happy in their relationships," Reid challenged.
You rolled your eyes and scoffed. "Please. One look at their social media and it's obvious that the relationships are on the rocks."
"Where do you get that? All I see are typical happy relationships. Selfies, checking into special events together, posts about kind things one does for the other. Nothing indicating a troubled relationship to me."
"The gentlemen doth protest too much. They're painting an overly happy painting on social media, hoping that some of that happiness will actually become real. They're desperate for the relationship to work."
"Let's say you're right. I don't think you are, but let's pretend for the sake of trying to see your logic through. Why? Why would they be so desperate to save a failing relationship?"
"God, straight men just don't fucking get it!" You went to grab a file, missing his small flinch. "You don't understand how limited the dating pool for men who are into men is. Look at the most recent couple in particular. The most lovey-dovey on social media, and got the most brutal deaths."
"Yes, because they were the happiest. My theory holds," Reid interrupted.
"No. Look, this guy put way more out there on social media than his partner, and look at the pictures he posted. Look how forced his smile is, look at the body language. He needs this relationship to work, because dating as a gay man is one thing, dating as a gay trans man is almost impossible. Having to start over and deal with transphobia over and over again is worse than being in a bad relationship. In his eyes, I mean." Shit, the first person I come out to on this team cannot be Spencer fucking Reid. He doesn't deserve the honor.
"That was yesterday. We haven't gotten the autopsy report yet. How could you possibly know that he's trans?"
"Testosterone vials and needles in the bathroom. Neither of them are old enough for a cis man to reasonably have issues that require testosterone injections. It's HRT, hormone replacement therapy."
"Even if you're right, your conclusion still seems like a much bigger jump than mine, that the killer sees the relationships as happy and is lashing out at that, be it from jealousy or homophobia."
"Whatever. You'll see tomorrow, when we talk to the M.E., that he was trans, and that fact backs me up. I am absolutely right about this, and you will eat your words. Then I will present my theory, and you can choke on yours."
"We? You anticipate us spending more time together?" He raised an eyebrow.
"I meant 'we' as in the team, asshat. The world doesn't revolve around you. Mine sure as hell doesn't. I'm gonna go back to the hotel, write my own damn preliminary profile, and try to get some fucking sleep. Clearly we won't agree on this."
"We don't ever agree on anything," he pointed out.
"Not true. We agree that we dislike each other and can't get along. Good night, doctor." You turned and walked away, not giving him a chance to respond.
This man is going to be the death of me, he thought as he watched you walk away.
~
The autopsy report came in the next day, and you were right. The tech team also found a locked notes app on his phone that catalogued his unhappiness and fear of leaving. You presented your preliminary profile to the team. Reid didn't even argue; he just sat in silence, leaving the room as soon as you were finished. Never one to pass up a chance to gloat for beating him, you offered to get coffee for the team, got everyone's order, and left shortly behind him.
You were expecting to catch up to him, his impossibly long legs be damned. You weren't expecting him to be waiting for you. He pulled you into an empty interrogation room and pushed you up against a wall, his face just inches from yours. It was only a moment before being flustered by the closeness and those goddamn eyes were replaced by anger.
"What the FUCK, Reid?"
"What game are you playing, Y/N? What game are we playing? What's your endgame?" He spoke quickly and softly, but there was an intensity in his voice that had you captivated.
"I'm the one playing games?" You pushed him back, away from you. "You're the one who decided to hate me before we even met. When I transferred, all I wanted was to do a good job and fit in with the team. But quite literally from the minute I walked through the door, you'd decided you hate me. Turnabout is just fair play, gorgeous." Oh, fuck.
"Gorgeous?" You walked past him to the other side of the room, running a hand through your hair and turning your back on him. "Fine. Yeah, okay? I wanted approval from the brilliant and handsome Doctor Spencer Reid. In a way that's respectful of your heterosexuality, of course." You turned around and faced him again. "But that doesn't matter, because you made it clear you wanted nothing to do with me right off the bat."
"What makes you think I'm straight?" He's fucking with me, now that that cat is out of the bag. Great. Fucking cishet men. Even he's no different. Thank god he still thinks I'm cis.
"Garcia mentioned in her newbie-run-down that you're 'awkward, but in a cute way, especially around women'. Plus, she mentioned that Emily is bi, leaving everyone else implied straight as even the best cishet allies are wont to do. And as we both know, Penelope knows everything.
And before you make the hearsay argument I can see forming in that brilliant head of yours, I've heard and seen too much about your impeccable memory to assume you don't remember when we all went to the bar after my first case. I was unabashedly Queer, friendly flirting with Derek and calling out cishet bullshit. When I did the latter, you literally rolled your eyes and walked away. Which is, funnily enough, some cishet bullshit.
JJ said you were just going through a thing and things would get better, but they just got worse. I'm not going to ask you to spill whatever was going on, because it's not my business, but god damn, dude. Why did you hate me so much so quickly?"
"You asked JJ about me?" He took a few steps towards you, a small smile on his face.
"That's the part you focused on? Jesus fucking Christ. Yes, I asked her about why you decided to hate me before we even met. Whatever. I hope you got whatever you were looking for by pulling me in here. I'm done. Done with this conversation, done with whatever has been going on with you and us since the day I transferred." You turned to leave, but he grabbed your arm. It was barely more than a light touch, but you let it stop you.
"Y/N. I can't-" he sighed. "God, you make my head spin. I can't organize my thoughts enough to say what I want to. JJ was right, there was something I had to work through, and I guess you'd made up your mind about me before I figured it out. It isn't an excuse for how I treated you, just an explanation. As for the more recent development of arguments… I guess I read a subtext that wasn't there. I could never dislike you, let alone hate you. I am truly sorry for- for all of it." With three long strides, he was out the door.
Make his head spin? What subtext? Since when is he unable to say what's on his mind? And what was that about not disliking me? All we've done since we met is argue or ignore each other. Why else would he act like that? Why do I even care? Why am I so knotted up about what he's thinking and feeling? Whatever. Fuck him, and not in the fun way. I've gotta go get coffee for the team. As you were getting the coffee, you couldn't get the memory of his face, so close to yours, to stop playing in your head.
The rest of the case was mostly as normal, but there was an energy between you and Spencer that was distant like when you joined the team, but there was something else to it that you couldn't quite put your finger on. It made you a little bit sad, though, for reasons you didn't understand.
~
"I love you, Y/N. I love you so much. I pulled away from you because it terrified me how much I loved you from the moment you walked through the door that first day. Being around you, even when we were arguing, made me feel alive in a way I never had before. You're all I think about, you're all I could ever want. I love you."
"I… I love you too." You didn't know which one of you moved, maybe you both did, but in an instant, you were kissing Spencer Reid, and you couldn't have been happier.
-
You woke up with a start, breathing heavily. You looked around; you were in your room, home alone, and it was 3:37 am. What the hell was that?
Four hours later, you trudged through the door of the BAU office, venti red-eye in hand. You made it about ten steps before Derek had his arm around your shoulders.
"Whoa there, hot stuff. Rough night?" You tried to shake him off, but he wouldn't budge, so you just kept walking, making him go with you towards your desk.
"So not your business, Derek. You being open with your personal life doesn't mean we all have to be open like that with ours."
"Personal life, huh? So who is he? More importantly, how was he, and should we expect more mornings like this in the future?" You rolled your eyes and playfully shoved him away. You'd reached your desk, so you sat on top of it, facing him. As you did, you made eye contact with Spencer, who was well within earshot. His face was unreadable, and you weren't sure why him hearing Morgan tease you like that upset you. It never had before.
"No, Derek. There's no one. Just some nightmares. Nothing major; I'll be fine by tomorrow." You got off your desk, sat in your chair, and logged into your laptop. Derek whistled and walked away without another word, shaking his head.
You tried to focus on the paperwork you needed to get done, but you couldn't stop thinking about that dream. The feeling of his lips on yours… it felt so real.
This is ridiculous. Love? We don't even like each other. Well… there was the stuff he was saying yesterday- 'I could never dislike you, let alone hate you', and some sort of subtext? But not disliking someone is a far cry from love. Plus, he's straight, so this is all absurd. And even if he DID have feelings for me, I sure as hell don't return them. I mean, maybe he's not as awful as I've thought, especially if he wasn't coming from a place of dislike. And he really is very pretty. Those eyes… Wait, what the fuck? This is all fucking ridiculous. I just need to get a full night's sleep tomorrow, and all this weirdness will be gone.
You took a giant gulp of your coffee, shook your head, and ran your fingers through your hair. Fortunately, Hotchner called a team meeting, forcing your attention to other things.
While no case could ever be described as 'normal', this case was pretty cut and dry, once you figured out what you were looking for. No dramatic twist, no tense showdown at his arrest. There weren't many cases like that, but you were very glad that this one was. You never sleep well when on a case, and no matter what you did, you couldn't shake that dream, the butterflies it left in your stomach every time you looked at him, and the strange disappointment when, unlike before that moment in Oregon, he wasn't looking at you.
Two more weeks passed. The energy between you and Spencer, whatever force it was that had drawn you together to argue again and again, was gone. You were polite to each other, and cooperated as necessary, but didn't do more than the bare minimum when it came to interacting with each other. Your interactions were cold and low-spirited. So you were so glad for a fun night out with Penelope, Emily, and JJ.
"So, Y/N, things seem… different… between you and Spencer these days. Did something happen?" Emily's tone made it clear that the three of them had intended to bring this up long before the plan to get drinks was even made. "I appreciate y'all waiting until I had a couple of drinks in me at least before going here. I guess we just got tired of fighting? I don't know. I can't figure out what's going on in that brilliant head of his. I thought I at least knew where I stood with him, even though it was purely adversarial, but I think I was wrong. But then that leaves me with no idea what he thinks of me or why I care so damn much."
"Really? No idea at all?" JJ asked. "I remember walking by a closed door in the police station in Oregon and hearing the word 'gorgeous' being thrown around." "Oh my god. You heard that?" You buried your face in your hands, and they all laughed.
"Yeah, I did, but only that one word. I'd figured you were on the phone with someone, but then you and Spence both started acting sad. I wasn't sure, of course, that you were talking to him until just now."
"Fuck. Okay, yeah. I think he's pretty. But I'm absolutely not alone in that. Derek calls him Pretty Boy, for goodness' sake. Appreciating someone's beauty doesn't have to mean anything more."
"Y/N, really? After everything we've been through together, you're gonna lie to us like this? Whatever happened, you've both been miserable since, and it's throwing the whole team off balance."
"What do you want me to say, Penelope? That I'm in love with him? He's pretentious and a know-it-all and a nerd and funny and kind and gorgeous and oh my God. I think I'm in love with him." The three women clapped and cheered.
"Finally, you get there! Took you long enough." Emily winked. "So, what's the plan now?"
"Keep this shit between us until my feelings go away. Even if he wasn't straight, I wouldn't risk fucking things up by telling him how I felt. As it is, I stand no chance in hell, so I'm just gonna write this one off as another straight guy I've fallen for and try to move on."
"Y/N, if you tell him-" Penelope started.
"No. You, more than anyone, know why I can't even entertain the idea of trying to be with him. I can't set myself up for that kind of pain. Not here, not where things are so good." You looked at all three of them. "I know that your intentions were good, but I just can't do this. I'm sorry." You grabbed your coat and left.
Your interactions with Spencer changed yet again. Now that you knew you loved him, you couldn't help yourself from being warmer towards him. As the weeks passed, you got closer. After three weeks, you considered him to be a good friend, not that that made things any less painful. You were just hoping that Penelope, Emily, and JJ were going to respect your wishes and drop the subject of your feelings for him.
[From: Penelope]: round table room ASAP
Shit. The last time you'd gotten that text from Penelope, the team left on a serial child abduction case 30 minutes later. So, despite it being your day off, you ran out the door and were there with your go bag in 15 minutes.
But no one else was there. No files on the table, nothing to indicate that there was a new case. You pulled out your phone to call Penelope, but then you heard a commotion outside the door- you'd closed it behind you.
"No, Derek, wait, I don't-"
"Can it, Pretty Boy, and thank me later." Derek opened the door, pushed Spencer into the room, winked at you, and shut the door, all in about 3 seconds.
"Spencer. Um, hi. Is the rest of the team not going to join us? Garcia's text seemed pretty urgent." You tucked your phone into your pocket.
"I don't think so, since I just heard Morgan barricade the door." He tried to open the door and failed.
"Oh my god they're Parent Trapping us. I'm gonna kill them."
Spencer tilted his head, confused. "Parent Trapping?"
"Oh my god have you not seen any of the Parent Trap movies? Were you living under a rock in 1998?" "I was seventeen and working on my first doctorate, so pretty much, yeah," he laughed. You couldn't help but laugh, too, as you firmly ignored how his smile made you absolutely melt.
"Fair enough. The '61 one is good too, but the '98 Lindsay Lohan one is Iconic for good reason. Anyway. The point is, they've locked us in here and won't let us out until we have a conversation."
"Just a conversation? Or do they want us to talk about something in particular?" He took a seat at the table.
"I- yeah, they have a particular topic in mind. I'm so sorry. This is my fault. I was tipsy and said things I should have just kept to myself. I thought they'd respected my wishes and left well enough alone, but clearly they didn't. And they won't let us out of here until I tell you-" you hesitated.
"Tell me what?" He leaned forward, and part of you swore you saw hope in his beautiful brown eyes. You looked at the floor, avoiding them.
"Tell you that I… have feelings for you. Romantic, cheesy, butterflies-in-my-stomach feelings. I don't know why they want me to tell you this. We've just gotten to a good place as friends, and you're straight, and-"
Somehow you missed the sound of him getting up and taking the few steps over to you, because you practically jumped out of your skin when his hands were suddenly on your shoulders.
"Y/N. Please, darling, look at me?" Bewildered by the endearment, you did, and his smile was blinding. "I'm not straight. I'm bi, and I think part of me has been in love with you since your first day at the BAU. The thing JJ said I was working through? The potential problems of having feelings for a coworker. For you. As soon as you walked through that door", he pointed and then took both your hands in his, "I loved you. The night at the bar? I was rolling my eyes at myself for how much I wanted to kiss you, and I walked away to stop myself from doing something reckless. I love you, Y/N. Can I do something reckless?"
"I'm trans," you blurted. "I hope that doesn't change anything, but it's something you should know. If knowing that I'm trans changes things, now is the time for you to say something. If it's a problem and it blows up later, it might actually kill me. Because I love you, too. So much. If it doesn't change anything, then please, Spencer, kiss me."
The words were barely out of your mouth before his lips were on yours. You weren't sure how long you were kissing before you were interrupted by cheers from the other side of the door. "Shit, Spencer, they're going to be the worst about this, aren't they?" You were a bit embarrassed by how breathy your voice was, but you were too happy to really care.
"Oh yeah. We're not going to get a moment that's just us in this building ever again. Do you want to get it over with and face them, or would you prefer we stay in this moment a bit longer?"
"What do you think, doctor?" you asked, pulling him in for another kiss.
A Little Rant
Okay, so I've been mulling over this for a long time and I have decided, fuck it, I want to talk about something that has been on my mind for a long time. Specifically, how much I just really, really dislike Katsuki Bakugo as a character and to do so, I'm going to compare him him to my favourite character... Well, technically, second favourite, since my overall favourite doesn't quite fit the discussion (Sorry, Sako-kun, I swear I'll give you the acknowledgement you deserve another time.)
---------------
So, uh, before I start, probably a good idea to mention that I am going to be very harsh to Mr. Bakugo here, so if you like him, I'd advise not reading for your own sake. I know that a lot of Baku stans tend to prowl the anti tags, and this isn't for you. However, if you think you can handle it, be my guest; Just don't get pissy at me if you don't like it.
Let's get started. Where to begin, where to begin? Well, we all know the characters of Katsuki Bakugo and Tomura Shigaraki, two of the most integral characters in the series and, as far as I am concerned, two rather noteworthy pieces of shit. For the latter, this is no surprise to anyone, Shigaraki is the main bloody antagonist. He's terrorised the world of heroes for around a year by the most recent point in the manga, has murdered dozens during the MLA confrontation alone and ultimately aims to wipe everyone out. At his purest form, he is an agent of chaos and nothing less. A young man who was driven out of society and forced to indulge in his own rage. He's very clearly a character beyond redemption, and even attempting to do so would just be silly. And yet, I love him. Easily my second favourite character, at some points, he has weasled his way into first place.
Then, we have Bakugo. Beloved by all, both in universe and in the fandom, Katsuki is an explosive, ill-tempered brat with a dispositon as childish as Shigaraki's was earlier on in the series. I really do not like his character, but at the end of the day, he hasn't killed anyone and hasn't committed any crime, so why should I?
Well, that second part is technically a lie. Yeah, we all like to forget the suicide baiting scene, even Horikoshi. But simply put, it cannot be forgotten and that is my big issue with Bakugo. Everything he has done both past and present is swept under the rug. He has acted absolutely abhorrently towards a Quirkless little boy who just wanted to be his friend for years, constantly belittled and in some cases assaulted this boy. During the initial training, he nearly blows Deku to kingdom come. And why? Because he doesn't like feeling inferior. Well tough shit, the little bastard has gotten his way all his life, and coming to UA was the perfect opportunity for him to put on his big boy pants, grow a pair and actually mature as an individual. Surely, an institution such as UA would not ignore or even reward his behaviour?
....
Yeah, UA deserves all that is surely coming to it following the end of the war, purely because of how they let Katsuki slide. Keep in mind, Nedzu and Aizawa fully acknowledged that his tempermental behaviour made Bakugo a target for the League of Villains. And yet, upon recapturing him, no attempts are made to actually nurture him into dropping this egocentric shit that makes him such a target.
And of course, it's Katsuki who gets to learn about One for All first. Not Ida, the streadfast, loyal friend, not Uraraka, who has often been Izuku's closest confident. Hell, even Mineta, for all his faults, is more friendly to Izuku than Bakugo has ever been. And yet, it's good old Katsuki who gets to learn about it, the same Katsuki who didn't believe it at first, mocked the dead users of One for All and was generally a horrible, spiteful little shit. He even somehow has a friend in Kirishima, which frankly astonishes me. I am aware that 1-A don't know about Bakugo's past, but who would ever be attracted to his completely unstable personality?
And of course, he's ended up calling himself DynaMight as his hero name. First off, my darling Mister Compress is right, that's so fecking tacky, even by BNHA standards. But secondly, what the actual fuck? Okay, so the actual disciple of All Might gets stuck with a hero name that everyone knows is meant to humiliate and tear him down while the cocky little bugger who has shown nothing but open contempt to the very nature of One for All gets to ape on All Might's name? Remember a very early chapter, that had a flashback to Midoriya's potential hero names and they were all intentionally childish and cringe? Yeah, this is quite literally that but unironic. God, I hate Bakugo.
And that's really it, what separates two deeply unlikable characters. Shigaraki is acknowledged by the writing as an awful person with a scant few redeeming qualities. His backstory never tries to excuse his actions, only explain them. And so, this ragtag violent scumbag ends up as a better character than the violent scumbag that we're supposed to root for. Because I cannot root for Bakugo no matter what. He deserves the full Endeavour treatment, frankly. Because at least Enji is finally receiving what he deserves for his actions (Even if the absolutely God-awful chapter 301 has muddied that a little by portraying him in a positive light for some reason.) Bakugo needs consequences, he needs intervention and he needs to actually fucking apologise with some sincerity before I'll ever accept him as an even halfway decent character.
Blegh. Sorry for this long, boring and ultimately pointless rant. I know that literally no one cares what I have to say on this internationally beloved character, but I needed to share my two cents.
#bnha#bnha manga#anti-bakugou#anti bakugou#anti bakudeku#shigaraki#mha#boku no hero spoilers#rant#angry#God I'm an idiot for posting this#and no I don't like any ships for that matter but Bakudeku in particular winds me up
Friday Night Stabby best quotes part 14 - Legacy Peeps edition (05/03/21)
people playing in this game: Skizz, Joker, Impulse, Zloy, Logic, Poppy (PoptartKatze), Pearl, Chim (ChimneySwift), Sausage, Avo (Avomance). prox chat is off bc the game updated and crewlink didnt work
…
Chim: Okay, I’m here! Don’t start without me! Poppy: We just started without you. Zloy: We just started without you.
...
*Impulse reports Skizz’s body* Impulse: Hello hello. Somebody killed my blueberry friend. Somebody killed my blueberry friend and I’m sad! Zloy: Quick let’s think about it: who had the motive? Impulse: It was in electrical, by the way. Poppy: I was messing with wires. Logic: That sounds very ‘electrical’. Poppy: Not messing with bodies! I was messing with wires IN electrical. Pearl: That’s where the body was, Poppy.
...
Impulse: I’m just happy to be part of this crew :) Pearl: So happy you would stab somebody?
...
Sausage: You voted for me?! Logic, get outta here! I didn’t even say one word, Logic!
...
Pearl: Another body in electrical. Poppy, have you been playing with wires again? Poppy: I was… somewhere. Not in electrical, obviously.
...
Joker: At the beginning of the game, I went into electrical and did my tasks and left and then I went ALL the way around to the other side to do asteroids in weapons. Pearl: I actually believe that; I remember seeing you in there. Zloy: I’m sorry, I was not listening. I was too busy voting you out of the airlock.
...
Logic: *is the only one who voted for Sausage again* Sausage: Stop it, Logic! I hate you!
...
Zloy, during the round: This is a public announcement that ghosts can and should do their tasks. Sausage: Roger roger. Logic: Roger roger. Zloy: It’s a public announcement, you don’t need to roger roger if I’m speaking over the intercom.
...
Pearl: I think it’s Logic; all of us have been in the middle for the majority of the round. Zloy: I’m pretty sure Logic hasn’t been, so let’s yeet him. Impulse to his chat: Oh no. He’s getting yeeted.
...
Zloy: Joker, can I have my lime back, please? Joker: What, Zloy? What’d you say? Zloy: Can I have my lime back? Everybody knows I’m lime. Since Avo stole green. Avo: I didn’t steal anything! *changes colour to brown* Zloy: *changes colour to green* There we go. Thank you, Avo. Avo: You are welcome, sir. Zloy: See? This is how you make friends. This is how you establish connections. Joker: Zloy, we’re- We’ve always been friends, though.
...
Skizz: Okay, who was not doing tasks? We were down to one task for, like, a month. Joker: I want to say that I did all my tasks and that you should be proud of me. Skizz: Well, you WANNA say that but can you say it truthfully? Joker: I DID do all my tasks. Skizz: Well, atta boy. Joker: Are you proud? :D Skizz: I AM proud of you! :D
...
*body is reported* Avo: Who did it?! Skizz: You make one heck of a detective.
...
Skizz: I was 100% with Impulse, you’re absolutely right, but he cut into reactor and I went up towards upper engine. Avo: I did see Skizz in north engine. Joker: So you cut Impulse and then went up? Skizz: Okay! Well, you know what, don’t make me do it, Mister Joker! You’re adding all these extra words. Joker: Do what? You’re gonna kill me? Skizz: No, I- I could not be more- I’ve been playing with you a while. I have kind of a- It’s not fair, I- I’ve been playing with Joker for a while. This is how he talks when it’s him. Joker: What?! No it’s not! Skizz: And there goes the high pitched voice. Like a recipe. It’s like a RECIPE with you. Joker: You’re getting me confused with Impulse.
...
Chim: So we’re voting for Poptart? Wait- Poppy: No! I FOUND the body. Chim: Oh. But how do we know you didn’t CREATE the body?
...
Zloy: It’s like rock-paper-scissors. Skizzleman beats Joker, Impulse beats Skizzleman, Sausage beats… uh… what’s-his-face. Logic. Logic: What’s-his-face? What’s-his-face?!
...
Avo: There’s a green body! Mister Joker in electrical, just as I went into electrical to do my electrical tasks. Chim: That’s pretty sus. Skizz: That’s what he gets! Sausage: Self-report. Poppy: Self-report for sure. Avo: It is not a self-report. I can put my hand on my Avomancian heart and say it was not I. Skizz: Wooow, that was diggin’. Pearl: Very sus. Zloy: Yeah, I was about to advocate that there’s no reason to self-report on the first kill of the game but you changed my mind single-handedly. *votes* Skizz: Whoa, Zloy! We need a little bit more. Little bit more.
...
Avo: I’ve never been so hurt in all my life getting voted on that. Skizz: It was just Zloy.
...
Skizz: I don’t wanna wrong Avo again. Avo: I’d be very disappointed if you wronged me again, Skizz. Impulse: What if I wrong you? Cuz I saw you and Logic take off towards electrical together. Zloy and I were still chilling, dumping trash. Avo: I was dumping trash with you, Impulse! For goodness sake! Impulse: Yeah, then you and Logic ran off together and you killed him. Chim: Wait, what about trash? Impulse: Avo just called Logic trash because that’s who he killed. He was taking out the trash, you heard it.
...
Pearl: Make sure to vote, Chim. Chim: I did. I voted for “skip”. Whoever that guy is, he’s super sus all the time.
...
Zloy: So it was a double kill, which means that we’re operating with people who are really, really comfortable being around one another. Chim: Or there’s a sniper. Zloy: A WHAT? Chim: A sniper. You know… like, a long-barrelled gun that shoots bullets at a long distance. Zloy: We’re on a SPACESHIP! Chim: That’s a good point. I’m getting too immersed.
...
*Skizz and Pearl win as imposters* Zloy: Hey, remember when I said it’s competent people and my idea was that it was Skizz and Pearl because they were the only ones left who are competent? *everyone immediately protests*
...
Zloy: Double kill by electrical. SPARKS were flying. Joker: If I get imposter, I’m killing you first, Zloy.
...
Chim: I did a scan in medical. Impulse: Oh yeah? How much did you weigh? Chim: I don’t wanna talk about it. Impulse: What’s your blood type? Chim: What blood type is not sus?
...
Zloy: Chim walked right past a body. Chim: Oh I did? OH! That WAS a corpse, wasn’t it? I thought it was, like, a pet. Literally, no joke, I thought it was a pet. I didn’t even- Zloy: I’m completely certain that you are a crewmate and I still want to throw you out of an airlock right now.
...
Zloy: We had fun! Let’s go to medbay with everybody. It’ll be fun. You can watch your friends get undressed and scan themselves.
...
Skizz: Maybe when you undressed for your scan, Chim, Zloy saw something that you don’t want him to tell the world about. Chim: Well, I mean… ;)
...
Joker, getting voted out: Well, that’s rude.
...
Chim: You can’t spell Sausage without ‘sus’. Skizz: Are you saying Sausage is a… SAUSpect?
...
Skizz: I think he wanted a piece of the Skizz. He wanted a Skizz sandwich! Logic: Skizz, I would never do something like that to you! Never! Skizz: I was your first kill, homie.
...
Chim: I have a body to report! Zloy: Boy do you. Chim: What? Why would you say that, Zloy? Zloy: Nothing. Chim: You know about a body? Zloy: I’ve just been staring at your butt for most of this round. Chim: Yeah, why’ve you been following me? Zloy: I’ve been following you because I needed a buddy. *later* Pearl: So what we’re getting at is it’s either Zloy or Sausage? Chim: No, I don’t think it was Zloy cuz he was honestly on my booty the whole time. It was sus but wasn’t THAT sus.
...
*Avo kills Impulse and Skizz immediately walks in* Skizz, singing to the tune of Bad Romance: Whoaa whoaa whoaaaaa, your killer, he is Avomance. Pearl: What happened? Skizz: I walked into reactor as Avo is walking out and there’s bloody footprints as he’s walking away from the body. Zloy: I appreciate how extra you are.
...
Zloy: Look, you can always trust a man who is not afraid to sing Lady Gaga. That man has nothing to hide.
...
Joker: I found Poptart’s body in… Chim: In the cereal aisle? Joker: Yeah, in the cereal aisle. Haha. Um… Yeah, I found- Avo: THAT was sincere (/s)
...
Impulse: I do feel kinda bad sussing [Avo] last round too but- I mean, he KILLED me! So hey. Avo: You deserved it, Impulse.
...
Pearl: Could someone kill me? I haven’t been killed yet.
...
Chim: Where’s the body? Joker: It’s where you left it.
...
Joker: You were chasing me and then luckily, someone put up the doors and blocked you from getting to me. I also watched you stand on a vent, change your mind, and go the other direction. Chim: How do you know I changed my mind? You can’t see anything through my little spacesuit. And I was following you cuz you looked like a pro with your little party hat. I thought maybe you were going somewhere cool and I wanted to check out where you were going. Joker: You’re a horrible liar. I don’t even know you but you’re a bad liar.
...
Skizz: Lemme tell you something there, Pearly Pop. I know that you loved killing me; I know you did. So I want you to know HOW you killed me. See, what you did was- I was wiring the ship. ‘Kay? I was saving lives, I was busy saving lives. You punched me in the head and I turned around and looked at you and you shot me right in the face. That was the animation that showed. Pearl: That’s great :D I love it.
...
*vote ties between Chim and skipping* Skizz: Oh my gosh! Zloy: We were ALMOST free, everyone.
...
Skizz: I’m done. Is anyone else done? Joker: I finished my tasks again, Skizz. Are you proud? Skizz: I AM proud of you! Joker: Look at me doing tasks! Skizz: I’m impressed! Joker: Thanks, man :D
...
*Zloy’s body is reported* Avo: There’s a dead Russian outside navigation.
...
Zloy: The reason [Impulse and Pearl] are so good as imposters is specifically because they know when to shut up.
...
Avo: We don’t know that Pearl wasn’t a killer. Joker: Well, how do we know YOU’RE not a killer? Avo: You have my word as an English gentleman, obviously. Joker: You can’t fool me with your fancy accent.
Incidentally In Love (2/?)
Charlie Weasley/Reader
Word Count: 1433
Rating: E for Everyone (Trigger Warning: Pregnancy, talk of pregnancy)
Masterlist Link I AO3 Link
Summary: Sleeping with Charlie Weasley was easy. He was charming, and handsome, and was quite talented in bed... Finding out you're pregnant with your casual fuck buddies baby was not easy.
Reader's journey through co-parenting, an overbearing Molly Weasley who wants reader to marry her son to give the baby a "real family", and maybe falling a tiny bit in love with her baby daddy.
Enjoy
"How the hell am I gonna tell my mum, though?" Charlie paces my small apartment's living room. It only takes him about six steps to reach each wall. I've counted each time he's paced across the floor. It would be funny if this conversation wasn't so—
"Charlie," I stand up wringing my hands, "if it's going to be a problem—"
He stops mid-pace, turning to face me, "no (y/n). I'm not going to just pretend this isn't my baby. I'm just nervous about my mum's reaction. She's old fashioned..."
"I don't want to be like a wedge in you and your families relationship—"
"No, no. She'll warm up to it eventually. She just won't understand for a while why we're raising her grandchild like this."
I roll my eyes, "it's really not a big deal."
"You haven't met Molly Weasley. It's going to be a big deal." He looks at me like he already knows exactly what we're putting ourselves through by co-parenting instead of just caving under his mother's pressure and getting married.
"Well, I'm not marrying you. I barely know you."
"Hey! We know each other (y/n)!"
"Yeah? What year did I graduate from Hogwarts? Or how about my birthday?" Charlie opens his mouth to respond, closing it quickly. I smirk, knowing I'm entirely correct. "See? If I'm around you, you're most definitely too preoccupied between my thighs to have an actual conversation." The way he blushes over this is cute. Like this wasn't the truth, and he hadn't been coming over to my little apartment solely for sex for months now. I didn't expect him to get to know me, just how I never expected to carry his child.
"I suppose you're right--but (y/n). I would have agreed to marry you if you had wanted it." There's nothing worse than an obligatory proposal of marriage, but something about the sincerity in his voice has little butterflies bubbling up in my stomach.
"I know, 'cause you're a nice guy...but--"
"So, you know that I'm a nice guy, but nothing else?" There's that flirty grin I'm used to.
"Nope. Well, that and you've got a very talented tongue." I can't help myself but flirt back. I watch his face burn as bright as his hair.
Charlie clears his throat before changing the subject, "I want this kid, (y/n). No matter what my mum says, I want what you want as well."
"Okay," I exhale shakily, hating that this is happening honestly, "and by the way, it's June twenty-third."
"What?"
"My birthday. July twenty-third."
Charlie tilts his head, grinning, "Yeah? I'll remember that for later."
***
Molly eyes me suspiciously at the dinner table. She's been nothing but kind, even as I've basically crashed their dinner as a complete stranger. Honestly, the whole family is acting odd with me around. Boy, am I really going to rock their world with Charlie and my little surprise.
"So, (y/n)," Arthur attempts conversation with me, "You know Charlie from work?"
"Yes," my smile feels unnatural on my face, "I work in the International Magical Office of Law department." Charlie's parents exchange looks, hopefully, an impressed look...I'm too nervous to really know.
"Oh, how's that?"
"Uh--" I set down my fork, "It's demanding but rewarding work. I travel some, which is interesting. I had a trip planned for later this year to America, but I had to change my plans due to--well, some things."
"Oh, that's too bad, dear. Do you think you'll go next year?" Molly asks politely. Damnit. No, I do not think I'll be doing anything I want for quite some time.
"I don't think so. It was a one time offer from MACUSA, unfortunately." Charlie gives me a look. I hadn't really talked much about the trip to him, mostly because I didn't think I'd be here in this situation. I'm sure he feels awful currently over this. He's so--
"Mum, Dad?" Charlie's voice throws me out of my own thoughts. Fuck, what the hell was he doing? We had a damn plan, for Merlin's sake! Going rouge was not part of this plan. "I've got to tell you something. Well, (y/n) and I do." This, for sure, catches Molly's attention. She looks even more suspicious of my being there at her kitchen table.
"Charlie--" He stops me before I can say anything more.
"I knocked up (y/n)." My eyes go wide, too petrified by embarrassment to really look at any of the Weasley family to gauge their reaction to Charlie's bluntness. Chaos erupts first from Fred and George, who knew me only briefly from school. They make crude comments, congratulating Charlie and betting between themselves if their mum would kill Charlie on the spot. Apparently, this was a bigger deal than I thought?
"Charles Septimus Weasley!" Molly's voice is screechy. She looks like she might actually help George win the bet.
"Mum," Charlie's so red as he leans further away from his mother, "We're going to raise the kid. We have a whole plan..."
"How irresponsible can you be, Charlie? We did not raise you to act this way. You've not only derailed your own life but (y/n)'s as well!"
I have to interfere here, "Mrs. Weasley?" I want to vomit when she turns her head towards me, "Please don't blame Charlie for all of this. I was obviously irresponsible as well--"
"Well, you two are obviously getting married as soon as possible. We can straighten this out, dear, don't worry." She pats my hand.
"What? No. I'm sorry, Missus Weasley, but I am not marrying your son." She looks wholly perplexed. "It's nothing against Charlie, of course. He's a good man. I just don't see why we'd get married just because of a child."
"You have to give the child a stable home, dear." Missus Weasley's brow is furrowed. I've clearly agitated the traditionalist homemaker in her.
"I will. It'll be just a little bit different than your definition of a stable home, ma'am. We'll figure out some sort of custody plan. I am willing to be flexible, and I won't keep the child away from any of you," I want the child to know it's father's family. And the Weasley's were friendly people. Despite the situation and the accidental part of this pregnancy, I wasn't opposed to the Weasley's being my child's family. Merlin knows I can't offer much in that department. "I'll be staying and working in the Ministry, and I assume that Charlie will eventually want to return back to Romania--"
"How can--How would that work? How will Charlie see the baby if he's halfway across the world?"
I glance over at Charlie, "Well--"
"Mum, we haven't thought all of it through yet. We'll figure it out in time. We have quite a bit of time."
"How far along are you, dear?" Molly asks suddenly.
"I'm around two months now, I believe." A silence overcomes the already somewhat tense room. Missus and mister Weasley seem to be sharing a silent conversation. I look at Charlie. He tries to give me a reassuring smile. My eyes flitter over to George and Fred, who don't even try to hide their shit-eating grins. I am still so nervous, the silence only enhancing the heat I feel on the back of my neck.
Molly sighs, looking between Charlie and me, "I'm still not happy with the situation, but I realize I can't force you to do as I please."
I offer her a small smile. I feel awful. "Thank you. I really do intend to let you and your family be apart of the kid's life. I don't have much family left after the War... it's important for me that he or she has some semblance of a family." It feels weird talking about my family so openly like this. I threw myself into my new job and, subsequently, into Charlie's bed, after the funerals.
Molly gives me a sympathetic look, "Of course you and the baby will always have a place in our home."
***
"I didn't know about your family--" Charlie offered to walk me out once dinner was over.
"I don't like to talk about it." I sigh, breathing in the end of the summer air. We stand in comfortable silence. I suppose it's because he doesn't know what to say. Most people don't know what to say.
"Mum meant it." I glance at him for a second before glancing back up at the moon.
"Meant what?"
"You and our child will always have a place here. She meant that."
A little smile finds it's place on my lips.
