Charlie Weasley Blurb #1
Requests are open.
Credit to @cafekitsune for the divider and banner
"I still can't believe it's ours" Charlie dropped the last box onto the counter. "You better believe it love. Our home. Our place to escape the rest of the world- You know Mum's already asking when she can come over for dinner." You laughed, Molly had offered to help the two of you move in. She also offered to help you unpack. However, both you and Charlie had agreed to get everything settled before you welcomed people in . "If our home feels remotely like your parent's place. I'd be happy. It's always so warm and inviting." "It will be love. Even with it cluttered and full of unpacked boxes. It's like Mum says, we don't need to have a fancy home as long as we have each other. So we're already there, all we have to do is make it liveable." "Do you think Professor McGonagall would be shocked to find out her star pupil and her favorite pupil are still together after all this time." "Probably, she remembers you spent the majority of her class staring at me. Charlie laughed as he engulfed you in a hug. "Could you blame me? She put me across from the most beautiful girl in Hogwarts. How was I not supposed to stare?" Charlie pressed a kiss to your forehead. "You know how to make a girl feel special." "I'm only telling you the truth. McGonagall putting me across from you was the most decision she ever made…Now where do we start?"

Missing Hands on the Clock: The Magic of Family
══════⊹⊱≼≽⊰⊹══════
Fabian was somewhere dark and very quiet. The mission had been a trap, one he and his brother had fallen right into no less. Had he died? That weird spell had caught him off guard, nailing the brother’s at the same time, so it was possible.
But he didn’t feel dead, not that he’s ever been before but he assumed it felt different
Perhaps they’d only been stunned? That might be nice… unless they got captured. The man mentally shuttered, shaking the thought from his mind. They’d deal with it, but he reaaaaaly hoped that wasn’t the case. Being held by Voldywart and his Death-snackers didn’t sound very appealing.

Charlie Weasley X Long Shouren
Warning: Fluff, talks of burns, talks of missing body parts, disabilities, crude humor
“Thanks for taking over for me.” The ginger would sigh, as he snuck out from behind Hagrids hut. The class having been dismissed, as it was the first day. The orphaned Opal eye would give a curious head tilt at the new face. A test sniff was given, before it was seemingly enchanted. Charging over, only for the man to scoop it up. Drowning the blue dragon in kisses, as the Dragon Professor gave a fond smile. Watching the freckled face pepper the baby in affection. Charlie Weasley. Quite the man. A myth, a legend, a friend. He owed him one, as the other man saved his hide when he had a incident long ago. The dragon he was watching had escaped, and nearly attacked a muggle village. Charlie was his hero, so now he would be his. “It is no trouble at all. Family is very important to you, after all.” The amputee would admit, as he came closer. His human hand coming to gently stroke the Dragons head. A few chirps left the baby, as it snuggled under the chin of the freckled fiend. Enjoying the texture of the slowly growing stumble. Blending in with his tanned, burnt, flesh. “You deserve to catch up with your siblings. How rare it is for you to even be on this side of the globe. You go and spend time with them. Especially George.” He would nod, as big brown eyes would look over to him. The burnt ends of his hair brushed aside, as he tossed his braid behind him as well. “Hey, you are here to.” He hip bumped, making the taller man roll his eyes. Such contrast they were. Ginger, deep reds and blacks, a smile that could melt snow. Salt and pepper, greens, and a gentle expression to calm the most dangerous of beasts. Despite such contrast, they were so similar anyway. Long hair, wounded complexions, hearts made to love. That’s what made them work. The contrast, yet deep connections. Just the two of them, standing together, as the Opal eye slept. Curled up in the Weasley’s arms, as the poor thing started to naw at Shouren’s hand. Fake one, luckily. “Poor thing is teething-“ Shouren sighed. “I’m not nursing him, you do it-“ Charlie teases, as he watched the dragon threaten to tear his fake arm off. “Assistance, please-“ Shouren would gently ask, as Charlie came to save the day again. Able to gently stroke the dragons neck, and caused the beast to release his hand. Now having bite marks in the metal. His normal fingers would feel it over, as Charlie watched. “Guess there are some perks to that thing. Still has to suck. Was hard as hell when George lost his ear. Can’t imagine a whole ass arm.” Charlie admits, as the Asian nodded. “It’s been hard. Painful especially. The phantom pain has kept me up.” He admits, as he could still feel the dragons breath on a arm that doesn’t exist. How the flesh melted away so fast, he hardly had time to register the nerves were gone. Happened so fast. He didn’t even realized he zoned out, until a hand was on his back. Charlie may not understand the pain, but he has had someone suffer a lost of ability regardless. He sure can try, which is better than most people. A tired smile was given, as the Opal eye was resting on his hip. As if a child. Shouren found it comical, and oddly cute. “Come on. Give him here, while you go and see your brother. No one will ever know you are here. I promise.” Shouren reassured, as the trade off was given. “I owe you one, I mean it.” He said, as he made sure he had all his things. Wand was strapped, as the two would make eye contact. Charlie now having his turn at the cute sight. How the Opal eye was a cuddle bug. “You are the best.” Charlie winked, before he snapped out of existence. “I think someone’s being a bit modest.” He chuckled to himself, as he would gently stroke the Dragons head. Humming as he did so. Able to have the comforting thought that his fellow Dragonologist was able to spend time with his family. Something rare, with a job like theirs. He would do it again and again and again. Lie a million times for that man. If only he learned to stop lying to himself, and accept that maybe they were more than just work collages. More than friend. Simply just more.

ONESHOT ALERT
Fandom: Harry Potter
Ship: Charlie Weasley x OC (Fem)
Self bondage gone wrong gone right...
It was the tenth of December and Beatrice was excited. Lately, she had been experimenting with self-bondage.
At first she kept it simple, with a few ropes or belts around her legs, keeping them together. She could easily get out but she still enjoyed it. Next it turned into crotch ropes. Those became her favorites. Finally she attempted chest harnesses. She enjoyed the feeling of rope digging into her skin. If she was feeling good, she'd add a vibrator into the mix.
She avoided her arms, paranoid that something would go wrong. She made sure to keep those free at all times. Until one Friday night when she felt brave. Charlie would be gone for a few hours at a work celebration dinner. This was the perfect opportunity.
It was cold tonight, the grass covered in an inch of snow. So she lit up the fireplace before starting with her project. She sat down on her favorite blue chair, with rope, an armbinder, a blanket, nippleclamps and her two toys. She had her wand for just in case.
She stripped, carefully taking off each piece of clothing, before sitting back down with her toys and some lube. She coated a big dildo in lube, before teasing the rim of her asshole with it. She gasped at the cold medium.
She slowly pushed it inside, a moan escaping her as it pressed up against her. It wouldn't go all the way in, but she had a way to fix that. This was one of her larger toys and she could feel as it stretched her open.
Then she took her egg vibrator, coating it in lube before gently pushing it into her tight hole. She pressed it up right against her sweet spot. She shivered at the cold lube. She stood up quickly, clenching down on the dildo to keep it in place.
She grabbed a rope from the small table. She threaded it through in between her legs before doubling back to secure it tightly to her waist. The rope pressed up into her, forcing both toys up even further. She could barely walk.
She flopped back down into her chair, moaning as the dildo was forced up into her. She grabbed some rope. Starting at her ankles, she started tying her legs together. Her ankles were followed by her calves, knees and thighs, before she tied it to the rope. She snorted as she added a rubber band around her big toes. She started on her chest harness, the red rope framing her breasts beautifully, while still wrapping tightly around her.
She had some rope left, so she started decorating herself in the pretty red rope. A rope went just underneath her ass, lifting it up nicely. Another wrapped around her neck, just tight enough to grab her attention. And after adding a thick rope belt to her waist she was satisfied.
She attached the clamps, letting them pinch her sensitive nipples. She took a sharp breath. She grabbed the vibrator's remote before putting it on a low but very noticeable setting. It buzzed away as she carefully slipped her arms into the tight leather armbinder, securing them behind her.
She concentrated, using magic to wrap the blanket snuggly around her, tucking it into the rings of rope around her neck, covering every last bit of her bondage. She smiled at her work, before relaxing completely, enjoying the bondage around her. She looked up at the clock, it was 19:15. Eh, she'd enjoy it until ten.
There she sat for the next few hours, with nipple clamps digging into her skin, a dildo stretching her out and a vibrator buzzing away, all while she was unable to move a muscle. It drove her crazy. Her holes were becoming extremely sensitive, giving the vibrator so much more power over her. It edged her on, teasing her for hours. She could imagine her red swollen hole.
She was panting, listening to her own pathetic sounds as the vibrator edged her. Her legs were trembling as she grew wetter and wetter.
Eventually the clock hit ten and she decided it was time to end her little paradise. But after trying a few times, it dawned on her. She couldn't concentrate long enough to summon her wand and she couldn't move an inch. The table was right there, but she couldn't do anything. Her only hope was to wait for Charlie.
She trusted Charlie and he would probably think it's hot, but this was not how she pictured him finding out about her new hobby.
Suddenly she knew what true helplessness felt like. And she adored every second of it. Knowing that she cannot escape drove her mad and suddenly her situation was so much more erotic.
A few hours past, a few hours of moaning and whimpering at the constant vibrations. She was trapped and she loved it.
Beatrice was too out of it to hear the lock click and the door swing open. And she didn't see Charlie as he walked through the threshold, he had heard her.
He walked into the living room to find his roommate and FWB in complete ecstacy on her chair. Her eyes rolled back in pleasure, her jaw slack and her tongue hanging out of her mouth. He grinned. He was right. He had suspected this for a while now. After finding some rope, leather and a gag, he connected the dots, but he decided to wait until she was ready to tell him. He had tried to catch her in the act multiple times before, but she had been to quick in the past.
He flicked his wand and the blanket vanished, exposing her tied body to him. He walked towards her before crouching down beside the chair. His hand moved down towards her legs, his hand caressed the sensitive skin of her inner thigh.
"You look gorgeous like this, darling. What did I do to deserve you?"
He kissed her, letting Beatrice moan into his mouth. He pulled away before taking off his jacket and going upstairs, leaving her in her predicament. He got a gag and a blindfold from the small drawer in her wardrobe, before going back downstairs.
He slipped the blindfold over her eyes before securing the ball gag behind her teeth. She was trembling as the pleasure coursed through her. He grabbed the remote before turning it off. She whined through the gag, begging for more.
"You sound pathetic."
The amusement was clear in his voice. He turned the vibrator back on, picking a higher level. Her pussy was red and swollen, clearly overworked. She came in only a few seconds, groaning loudly as she did. He switched it off after her high and got to work.
He removed the nipple clamps first. Next he untied the rope around her neck and torso, freeing her arms from the armbinder briefly, before using rope to secure her arms in a boxtie. Then he took off the crotch rope, followed shortly by the vibrator and the dildo. He kept her legs bound and her arms in the boxtie while he removed the rest.
Beatrice was beyond confused, thankful but confused. They had never used serious bondage before, usually only using a pair of wrist cuffs, so why on Earth was he so calm about this? And why did he keep her arms and legs bound?
She felt as he picked her up, but it was impossible to know where he was going until she was gentle put down in warm water, she was in the bath tub. He crouched beside her and grabbed the shampoo bottle, putting a big blob on her head and gently massaging it into her hair.
"Cheatah..."
She mumbled through the gag. Charlie only laughed at her. He had tricked her into letting him take care of her. He loved taking care of her in any way he could. He loved washing and brushing her hair, helping her put on lotion and sunscreen, working out the knots in her stiff back after a long day, cleaning her always-dirty reading glasses and literally anything else he could do for her.
While Beatrice enjoyed the attention, she never thought herself worthy of all his pampering. She always tried to stop him, up to the point where he had to get creative. It had turned into a game for him, a game he usually won. And today was no different.
He washed her hair and scrubbed her down with a sponge, ignoring her protests. He wrapped her in a warm towel before taking her to their bedroom. He braided her wet hair and removed the rest of the ropes leaving only the gag and the blindfold. She didn't bother trying to take them off as he'd just tie up her arms again.
He turned off the light before bringing her down onto the bed and laying her down beside him. He finally took off the blindfold and then the gag.
"You can come at me all you like, but we both know I'm not going to stop."
Beatrice kissed him on the cheek.
"I know."

♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~
Some things were just facts, plain and simple; the sky is blue, two and two is four and you had a type.
“Another ginger I see.” Alicia murmured as you sat down across from her, pints of butter beer clinking together. Your eyes were locked with a pretty freckled boy by the bar.
You huffed even though she was quite right, this must have been the third redhead that you set sights on this year. “Well William got boring and,” You paused wrinkling your nose, “-pushy”
The Three Broomsticks was packed, the sounds of chatter and warmth guarding you from the icy cold of the blizzard that had swept through Hogsmeade. You and Alicia had joined the dozens of students seeking cover in the popular pub and quickly snagged a small table near a large fireplace where you now looked out on the sea of flushed faces and smiles.
“With your type it's a wonder your last name isn’t Weasley.” Your friend chuckled and you laughed.
“If I could have gotten my hands on Charlie, it would be.” You replied, your silly crush on the older Weasley brother lasting from your first year to what you were sure would be your last.
Alicia giggled, taking a large swig from her pint, licking the foam off her top lip. “Why not one of the twins then?”
“What twins?” A voice asked from behind you.
“She couldn’t be talking about us now could she, Georgie?” Fred jested.
“No no,” The other replied, “I mean what could Spinnet possibly want from us?”
Alicia rolled her eyes with great effort, “Trust me when I say I want nothing to do with you. As for my friend here, I don't know if I can say the same.” she said with a smug grin and you sent her a furious look.
Fred smirked, leaning over the back of your chair, his large palms ghosting your shoulders, “Is that true? Do you need something from us?” He leaned in even further, his nose brushing your hair, “from me?”
You began to look a bit red as he pulled away, “Please Weasley,” you managed to scoff “since when do I need things from you? In fact, I believe you still have my Charms notes.”
Fred had come to stand in front of you now, George joining his side, “It's just that your notes are so much better for writing Flitwick’s essay. ” He argued.
“You don’t even take notes.” You said, exasperated.
“Exactly” The twins replied in unison.
Alicia snickered beside you.
Chairs appeared and Fred and George sat. The table seemed half the size it was before as Fred's elbow knocked against yours.
“Made yourselves at home have you?” You spoke, wincing.
Fred just grinned and leaned purposefully closer, thighs now brushing.
You slid towards Alicia who was turning a laugh into a cough and set your eyes back on the boy with freckles.
“You headed to the Slytherin match next weekend?” Alicia asked absently.
“Of course.” George replied, “I’ve bet Lee a galleon that Malfoy catches a bludger with his nose.” he chuckled, “He reckons it’ll be his gut.”
You all smiled at the idea, no one hated Malfoy more than those on the Gryffindor quidditch team.
“We also have business to do.” Fred said, wiggling his eyebrows mischievously.
“You don't have any more of those nosebleed nougats do you?” You asked, eyes still across the room, “I’ve got to get out of Binns’ class tomorrow.”
Alicia's eyebrows shot up, you hardly missed History of Magic, or as you liked to call it, nap hour. “Why's that?”.
“No reason.” You mumbled, intently staring into your butterbeer.
Fred’s eyes darted between the two of you.
“Of course we’ve got some.” grinned George, oblivious, “2 sickles a pei-.”
“Or for free if you tell us what you're up to.” Fred interrupted, catching a strange look from his brother.
“I'm not up to anything!” You gasped with a bit too much enthusiasm.
Alicias eyes had narrowed to slits and Fred had never looked more unconvinced.
Your face began to grow hot and you found yourself wishing you had more grace in the act of lying.
“Oh come off it,” George said, “If she wants to snog Murphy instead of hearing about the seventh generation of goblin rebellions, who are we to judge?”
You were glowing pink now, sending a vicious look at George who had taken to sipping his drink innocently.
Fred looked appalled, his face contorted like he had just caught a whiff of something horrible, “Murphy!”
“Keep your voice down.” You hissed angrily, glazing across the room again to be sure he hadn’t heard, “I'm trying to keep it quiet.”
Fred was fuming, “Who wouldn’t, swapping spit with a git like that.”
You scoffed, pulling out a small coin purse, “Can I just have some nougat?”
“Nope.” Fred responded, voice suddenly ferocious, “We’re out.”
You were beginning to grow frustrated, “George just said you had some.”
Fred glared at you, “We’re out.” he repeated his nose high in the air.
You turned to George looking for help but he threw you an I’m-not-getting-into-this look and you were forced to round back on Fred.
You glared at each other for a moment before Fred caved, "Fine we’ve got some,” He huffed, “Three Galleons.”
Your mouth dropped, “George said 2 sickles!”
He crossed his arms, “They’re in high demand.”
You stood, chair flying back into the wall with a loud crack, “You’re a complete prick.” you said sharply snatching your bag and sweeping past Fred and over to meet Finn Murphy who was now standing to leave the pub.
“Well I think you handled that well.” Alicia said, grinning at Fred who looked as though he had been slapped.
George, who looked all too happy with himself for instigating such an interesting conversation, helped himself to the remains of your butterbeer as you and Murphy bowed out into the flurry of white followed closely by Fred’s glare.
“Looks as though she's gonna snog every redhead at school before you.” Alicia snicked.
“Yeah,” George snorted, “You might want to keep an eye on Ginny.”
Alicia giggled even harder, pressing a hand to her lips in an attempt to keep her drink in her mouth.
Fred could hardly hear them, too busy envisioning your latest with large boils all over his face or perhaps vomiting indefinitely.
Alicia managed to contain herself and shot Fred a sympathetic glance, “I've been trying you know, I keep bringing you up but she seems far more interested in Charlie.”
“Charlie!” He guffawed, “But he's been gone for ages!”
“Well he seemed to have made quite the impression.” Alicia chuckled.
“He was captain when she was appointed to the team.” George pointed out.
“Yeah when she was TWELVE” Fred gasped.
Alicia couldn’t help it, she had started laughing again, “Relax,” She spoke between breaths, “It’s just a silly school girl crush.”
Fred looked unconvinced and began to tap his heel incessantly against the floor.
“Take it as a complement!” She continued, “Charlie looks quite a bit like you, I mean you are related after all.”
Fred was not taking it as pleasantly as she suggested and began to rap his foot on the ground even faster, “We’ve got to do something.”
“We?” George snorted, “This is all you mate. I’m not the one in love with her.”
Freds ears grew pink, “I’m not in love with her!” he sputtered.
“Whatever you say.” Alicia spoke rolling her eyes.
The truth was that if Fred wasn't in love with you, he was so close he may as well have been. At the very least he had been pining after you for years and he had never been particularly quiet about it. In fact he was the opposite of quiet about it. His flirtatious remarks and dazzling complements were quite consistent. Unfortunately so was his coursing jealousy as you paraded around with boy after boy who was not him. Every year he swore would be the year. The year where you finally realized it was him you needed and all would be right in Fred's world. But time and time again he failed as you walked out the door with a different redhead. He was growing nervous, his seventh year was upon him and this may be his last chance before you were all carted off in different directions never to see each other again. The frustration of it all was turning him bitter.
That night Fred lay awake on his four-poster, staring at the ceiling venomously. What was it? He wondered, What was it that he didn't have that every other ginger you knew seemed to possess? Why was it never him pulling you into broom closets and meeting you after classes? What was he doing wrong? His thoughts spun until he drifted into an uneasy slumber.
By the time he arrived at the quidditch pitch for practice the next morning, the rest of the team was already changing into their robes as Angilina scribbled vigorously on the chalkboard in front of them, already changed and ready.
“Fred!” She shouted watching him try to sneak his way into the bustle of the team unnoticed, “What took so long? I was beginning to think I would have to send George back up to wake you.”
He shrugged, “Sorry Cap, I didn’t get much sleep last night if you know what I mean.” he winked at her and she looked sorely unamused.
You on the other hand perked up at the insinuation, finally looking at the twin who, in protest of his behavior the day before, you had been ignoring.
“She gets what I mean,” He smirked nodding towards you, “Up late with Murphy boy last night?” He asked viciously.
You flushed as the changing room filled with chuckles.
“Murphy?” Angelina asked, turning to you, “Isn’t he a bit,” She paused, “dim?”
You scowled at Fred silently before snatching your broom from the rack and marching so quickly out onto the pitch that you hadn’t even noticed you had hit Harry in the temple with its handle.
As Potter groaned in pain and fixed his askew glasses Fred looked over to Alicia who was shaking her head slightly. As the rest of the team slowly followed you out onto the field she and George made their way towards him.
“You’re an idiot.” Alicia groaned, “No wonder she won’t go out with you.”
George chuckled.
Fred glared at the pair, “It’s not my fault she insists on only snogging boys who are 'a bit dim.'" he spoke, mocking Angelina.
“I know that this may be hard to wrap your head around,” Alicia spoke sharply, “But maybe she went out with Murphy because he was, ya know, nice to her.” She then shouldered past the twins leaving Fred gapping at his brother desperately.
The day was crisp, the heavy licks of winter drawn in by a bitter wind. But the sky was clear and the sun was out, much to everyone’s appreciation.
Fred mounted his broom still angry, feeling foolish for upsetting you yet again as you stood with your back to him defiantly.
The whistle blew and the balls were released as the team kicked off, snow flying in all directions as you did so.
Fred's head was not in practice as it should have been but instead on you, watching you speed towards the goal posts with the quaffle already under your arm. You scored easily on Ron with a feign left.
Fred was so absorbed in you that he had completely forgotten about the bludgers, one of which was hurtling at him with frightening speed. With little time to react he swung his bat wildly and pitched the bludger in the opposite direction, which with a sickening feeling he realized was right at you.
He tried to shout but you must not have heard him over the howling of wind in your ears. Because when the bludger struck you heavily between the shoulder blades you were completely unprepared. Your vision danced as the air was knocked from your lungs. You were flung from your broom with a shriek and began to plummet.
Fred streamed after you, urging his broom towards the ground with a frightening speed. His Cleansweep shuttered under the immense pressure he suddenly held it in and never before had Fred wished so badly for Potters Firebolt.
He managed to get beneath you mere feet from the ground. The force at which you hit him knocked you both into the snow with a heavy thud, and there was a sickening sound as his broom snapped in two.
Neither of you moved for a moment, the snow settling around you and beginning to melt through your robes.
“Are you alright?” Fred asked and was struck with panic when you did not respond. He sat up quickly pulling you with him, your legs tangled together in the snow. He called your name desperately, hands holding your face as you lay limp in his arms.
Angelina landed beside the pair followed closely by George and Alicia both of whom were wearing nervous expressions.
“Y/n!” Fred shouted again, tears stinging his eyes, fear gripping his throat like a vice. He was moments away from shaking you when your eyes slowly peeled open.
“Fred?” You mumbled, confused.
The boy let out a barking laugh of relief and then dove into a hug, almost knocking you back to the ground.
Bewildered, you returned his embrace and realized quite suddenly how much larger than you Fred really was. You practically disappeared into his chest, his broad shoulders shielding you from the wind that whipped across the pitch. You felt frighteningly warm listening to his heart beat quickly beneath his robes. Your cheeks were hot as he pulled away from you and began to search for any look of pain or damage on your face.
“Are you alright love?” He asked again and was washed with relief when you nodded.
As you fully realized what was going on around you, you gasped, pulling the handle of Fred's broom out of the snow.
“Your broom!” You looked horrified, “Fred, your broom broke!”
Fred on the other hand brushed it off helping you to your feet and beginning to pat the snow off your robes, “It’s alright, I’m sure it's fixable.” he shrugged, “Listen, I am so s-”
But before Fred could finish his apology George burst between the two of you, “I am so sorry!” He spoke hurriedly, “The bludger caught me off guard. I swear I wasn’t aiming for you.”
You chuckled, giving George a pat on the shoulder, “I sure hope not, but 's not me you should be apologizing to anyway.” You said, “It's Fred’s broom that broke.”
George did not issue his brother any regrets and instead sent him a wink, whipping his wand out of robes and shouting “Repairo!”
The broom snapped back together and Angelina, who was desperate to get back in the air, looked to you, “You alright then?”
You nodded with a grin and turned back to Fred who was testing the strength of his brother's repair.
“Thank you so much Fred,” You gushed, looking up at him through your lashes.
The boy's heart skipped a beat, stomach lurching, “It was no problem really.” He breathed and miraculously found you in his arms for the second time as you lunged towards him.
“Thank you.” You murmured into his robes before disconnecting and swiftly boarding your broom again.
Fred watched you leave struck for a moment. Alicia shot him a thumbs up and a grin before he was able to clumsily climb onto his own broom and follow you back up into the air.
By dinner the story of your fall had been told and retold so many times that you were now said to have plummeted upwards of a hundred meters before Fred had heroically scooped you onto his own broom, saving what was sure to be your life.
In the great hall you kept getting asked if you were okay as down the table Fred got clapped on the shoulder and congratulated for his great save. He seemed to be enjoying the new story a fair bit more than you were.
Finn had come over to ask about you halfway through dinner but you found suddenly that he was no less than boring and he returned to the Hufflepuff table after a few short minutes with a look of disappointment on his face.
Fred watched this with such delight he was sure he was glowing. George -who he had been applauding as the best wingman one could ask for all day- poked him hard in the side and pointed down the table to where you sat. Fred turned to catch your eyes already on him. He winked exuberantly and you turned away with a scoff, but your cheeks had taken a rather deep shade of red.
He grinned so wide at George he thought his lips might split, “I mean this is some real progress!” He cheered, “Did you see that? She was staring at me!”
Down the hall you turned to Alicia, cheeks still pink, “Have you ever noticed how tall Fred is?” You asked so suddenly she choked on her pumpkin juice.
You stared at her curiously as she wiped her mouth with her sleeve smiling, “Oh yeah very tall.”
You hummed looking back down the table at the elder twin who was now laughing wildly at something Lee had said, “I guess I never really thought about it before.”
Angilina shot Alicia a glance as you were distracted and the two of them broke out into giggles.
“What?” You demanded though you were still smiling.
“Oh nothing.” Angilina grinned and you huffed turning back to your dinner.
You found yourself wishing Fred had chosen to sit a bit closer to you as you watched a group of girls across from him break out into giggles at something he said, “There's no way he's that funny.” You muttered knowing he in fact was.
Yet you couldn’t find yourself being all that jealous as he kept glancing up at you, as if checking to make sure you were still watching him and much to his delight you always were. His shoulders, you noticed from where you sat picking at plum pudding, were quite wide, his arms toned. It was no wonder that he had engulfed you completely out on the pitch.
How had I never noticed this before? You found yourself wondering. How had he managed to escape your list of potential suitors when he was so obviously perfect for you?
The thought struck you rather abruptly and while you would have liked to have sat with it for a minute, Alicia was standing and you knew it was time to head back to the common room.
As students began to flood from the hall you fiddled with the sleeves of your robes, thoughts full of brown eyes and freckles .
As if summoned, Fred appeared at your side grinning widely, “Hello.”
“Hey Fred,” replied Alicia.
“Have you guys heard the news?” He asked, throwing an arm around your shoulder. You tried hard not to blush and instead shook your head, staring at the floor. “Apparently, you owe me your life.” He was beaming down at you now and you found it hard to look away.
“Oh yeah?” You smirked, “And I heard it was actually you who hit me with that bludger.”
His smile disappeared only momentarily and you were happy to see it recover so quickly.
“Ah well, I figured Angelina wouldn’t keep her mouth shut.” He shrugged, “Though I swear if I had a choice I would have knocked her off her broom instead.”
And for the first time that evening jealousy took you strongly, “Oh yeah? I suppose she would have been a bit more fun to catch then?”
Fred looked startled by your bristly reaction, “Nah,” He responded, “That would have been Georgie’s job.”
You were satisfied with this answer and felt yourself leaning against him as you began up towards the tower.
George was delighted to see you still tucked beneath his brother's arm when you reached the common room. He called you over to where he sat and you placed yourself in a large squishy armchair as Fred perched himself beside you on an ottoman.
You spent your evening rather uneventfully, finishing an essay for Snape as the Gryffindors slowly filtered off to bed in pairs. When George rose to take himself to the dormitory you expected Fred to follow but instead he stayed rooted by your feet where he now sat cross legged on the carpet looking over what looked like an extensive order form.
Hours later you yawned, stretching when you finally finished your work. It was now well past midnight and only a few fifth years remained, cramming for a quiz in transfiguration the next day. You turned to look at Fred who had long since sprawled himself across the couch before the fire and found him snoring softly.
A jolt of infatuation made your stomach flip. His messy hair glowed shockingly bright in the fire light, his pink lips slightly agape. You gathered your things slowly, sure not to wake him before you stood beside him.
You knew you should wake him, you were the reason he had not retreated to bed after all. But he looked so peaceful like this, so soft. Instead you found yourself slowly counting the freckles that sprawled across his cheeks, leaning close to brush a strand of his bright red hair out of his face. He woke immediately at your touch, large brown eyes locking with your own.
You felt your cheeks go hot, “You should go up to bed.” You mumbled beginning to pull away.
He snatched your wrist with such haste it took you by surprise, “Do that again.” he spoke.
You furrowed your brow, “What?”
“With my hair,” It was his turn to blush now, “Touch my hair again.”
It felt as though the air was sucked from your lungs yet you found yourself obeying, fingers coming to comb through the soft waves that spread across his forehead.
He hummed, leaning into your touch slowly, gaze still locked with yours. The two of you stayed there for a moment, you kneeling beside him fingers in his hair, his hand still loosely wrapped around your wrist.
“I’m sorry.” He murmured and you looked at him confused.
“For what?”
“Hitting you with a bludger.” he responded remorsefully.
You laughed softly, your head thrown back, “It's okay Fred.” you grinned. You were close now, so close Fred could feel the tickle of your breath on his cheek, “I forgive you. You made up for it after all.”
He smirked in spite of himself, “I suppose I did, saving your life and all.”
You were giggling again and Fred was sure he was in some beautiful dream where all he could ever hear or see was your joy.
“I wouldn’t push your luck if I were you.” You grinned, “I may just chuck the quaffle at your head when you're not looking.”
“Only if you catch me when I fall.” Fred whispered, leaning closer still.
You let him, your lips connecting slowly. You were pleased to find he was a fantastic kisser, his lips soft and plush, eager to please. His free hand cupped your cheek as he pulled you closer still until you were practically on top of him.
One of the alarm clocks the fifth years had been attempting to turn to roosters burst to life and you pulled away abruptly remembering bitterly that you and him were not the only ones in the room. Fred chased after your lips with his own desperate for even a moment more with your mouth.
“You should get to bed.” You repeated standing now, knees a bit shaky.
Fred was disappointed by your departure but grinned wildly nonetheless as you gathered your books into your arms and turned back to him.
“I’ll see you tomorrow Fred.” You yawned and began up the stairs to your dormitory determined not to let him see the childish glee that had spread across your face.
“Wait!” He called after you, lurching from the couch and stopping at the bottom of the steps.
You turned back to him taking in the wonderful sight of him staring lovingly up at you. He looked delightfully disheveled, his hair a mess and his lips swollen from your touch. You took two steps down now only one above where he stood on the hardwood floor.
You looked down at him expectantly as his eyes bore into your own.
He lifted himself onto his toes and grabbed your shoulders forcinging you forward where you connected for a second time.
This time his breath was hot and heavy on your lips, his earnest intensifying to a level that you could only describe as hunger. Your feet dangled momentarily in the air as he lifted you fervently into his embrace. You were suddenly engulfed in Fred again, he was all you could smell sweet and cinnamon, all you could hear were his pants in your ear, all you could feel was him, his arms around your middle, his thigh pressed between your legs and his lips and tongue working so well together that it was you who chased after him this time, whining in protest when he pulled back.
You stared at him, out of breath and stunned to silence.
Fred looked as though he had just won something very expensive the way he was grinning with triumph, his eyes dark with lust.
“Sweet dreams love.” He murmured leaning down to give you one final kiss, his lips moving sickeningly slow against your own, wet and warm. He hovered inches form your lips for a moment, as if debating diving back in, before he backed away tucking his hands casually into his robes.
“You should go to bed, love.” He smirked, “We’ve got an early practice tomorrow and I do believe you made me a promise about knocking me off my broom.”
You bit your lip to keep from breaking into girlish giggles. Your heart was still pounding as though you had just run a long race.
“Only if you swear to catch me though.” He added with a wink.
“I’ll always catch you Freddie.” you assured him before turning and hurrying back up the stairs, grinning so wide your cheeks had begun to ache.

five knots of affection - george f. weasley
note: thank you for all of the support on my first post! it truly meant a lot. this one-shot wasn't supposed to be as long as it turned out to be, and i haven't perfected it yet, so i might reupload it or edit it later synopsis: george never learned how to tie his tie because you had been there tying it for him until fate tied the two of you together
warnings: cheesy puns and dad jokes which suck but are funny to me (yes i have a terrible sense of humor)
word count: 2.4k
୨୧‿‿‿ 𝜗𝜚 ‿‿‿୨୧
George cannot tie his tie.
No, really, he cannot tie his tie for his life. He reminds you that if you had not tied his tie the first time, your strings of fate wouldn’t have ended up together like this. They would have ended up all tangled and knotted. He reminds you of all the instances in which you had straightened out his tie and your lives.
The first time was at King’s Cross station. It was his and your first year at Hogwarts, and the crowded station was a new experience for you. Mrs. Weasley had insisted on all four of her sons wearing their uniforms to the station, wanting to get pictures before Charlie graduated.
However, Mrs. Weasley was preoccupied with fawning over Charlie. It was his last first day at Hogwarts, and as a prefect and Quidditch captain, his mother made sure to get a lifetime’s worth of pictures.
Percy had helped Fred with his tie, only to be thanked with a handful of stink pellets in his back pocket, which created an odor of dung all around him, surrounding him like a halo. Because of this, Percy refused to help George, who was left to fend for himself.
You had been watching the whole thing with much amusement. The entire red-headed family eased your nerves on the first day, and with feelings of partial pity and partial repayment for the entertainment, you walked up to the younger twin.
You simply tapped him on his shoulder. As he turned around to face you, fingers still entangled in the fabric, you latched your fingers on his. You quickly untangled his fingers from the fabric and slowly guided them down.
He wanted to back away from the unfamiliar person, but he was stunned by the beauty of the 11-year-old.
Just as he started to wiggle around and grunt in protest, worried that his brothers might use this moment to make fun of him later, you grabbed the tie with both hands, encircling it around his neck and pulling it down slowly to rid the fabric of any creases as you quietly said, “Stay still.”
And just like magic, you inserted the wide end through the loop at the front and adjusted the knot by sliding it upward with just enough room to breathe.
Finally, meeting his widened eyes with a smile, you lowered the collar, said, “Wasn’t so hard, was it?” and tapped the collar’s fall.
George instinctively knew you two had meant to meet and would become good friends.
Since that day, your fate has been tied, and it has become tradition for you to help George with his tie on the train back to Hogwarts.
The second time was just before the Yule Ball started. The doors to the Great Hall were about to open any second, and his tie had become a colossal knot, slowly strangling him. His date was too occupied judging others’ dresses, so she hadn’t noticed the mess her date had become, not as though she could have helped him. She had long nail extensions, which prevented her from using her fingers too much.
He turned around and called out your name with a pleading look. You couldn’t believe how careless he had been to knot up his tie to that extent, but soon, the look of surprise was replaced by urgency. Maybe it was the thought of upsetting your date, leaving his hand to go help another guy, or perhaps it was the thought of everyone walking in with their dates, leaving you and George in front of the doors, trying to clean up the mess and becoming the night’s joke. You grimaced at the thought, threw a look towards your date, and quickly shuffled over to George, working your magic through the fabric, using your wand to clear the creases, and quickly tightening the knot and pulling it up to his collar.
You yanked his collar down and tapped angrily at the fall of his collar as you said, through gritted teeth and a forced smile, “When—will—you—learn—George?”
“Oh, how I love it when you call me George,” he said with a playful grin, his eyes twinkling with mischief. He gently brushed his fingers along your side as he spoke, gliding them lightly under your arm.
“That is your name, isn’t it?” you snapped back, trying to hide the butterflies in your stomach and quickly ran back to your partner. Slowly, the doors opened, and everyone walked into the Great Hall with their dates in hand.
You caught George giving you a thankful smile during the slow dance, but you missed his gazes on you throughout the night.
The third time was at Bill and Fleur’s wedding. Finally, there was some excitement amid the tension and stress. George had been busy helping Charlie set up the tent and the tables outside the Burrow, leaving barely enough time for him to get ready.
The guests soon cluttered in as their voices grew louder, and George had just finished putting on clothes.
“Would you mind helping me with the tie here, m’lady?” he exclaimed, trying to comb his hair with his wand.
You grabbed the wand out of his hand and replaced it swiftly with a comb. Without a word, you slowly took out the brand-new purple tie you had gotten months ago, which coincidentally matched the purple waistcoat George was wearing, too shy to give it without occasion, and placed it on George’s neck. He was now attempting to re-bandage the wound on the side of his head without messing up his now tame, neat hair.
You left the tie resting around George, grabbed the bandage, and went on your tippy toes to wrap it snugly on his head without messing up his hair.
George did nothing but stare at your face as you resumed tying the tie.
“You know…” he started, looking down at your face.
“Hmmm,” you lazily replied without meeting his eyes.
“I was thinking about my tie. And how it must be magic. It always leads to knot-worthy moments between us,” he said, finishing cheekily.
You couldn’t help but smile at the little pun as you crossed the wide end over the narrow end.
“Like as…?” You trailed off as you glanced up at him; your fingers looped the wide end of the tie back underneath the narrow end.
“I was thinking about how ties bring us together, and it hit me—you’re the one who ties my world together. So, how about we knot up some time together?” he asked nervously, chewing his lip from the inside.
You looked up, took in a breath, and froze your fingers. You couldn’t believe your ears, and your heart was beating simultaneously, feeling it dropping to your stomach. You were still holding in that breath and were now trying to move.
But just as suddenly as George had confessed, you scrunched up as much of the tie as you could and pulled him towards you. Leaning in, you closed the small gap between you. You didn’t give yourself time to think, to second-guess what you were about to do.
Your lips met his—firm, warm, and slightly chapped. It wasn’t perfect or practiced, but it felt real. George went still for a split second as if he hadn’t fully processed what was happening before encircling his arms around your waist, holding you softly as if afraid to break you.
He tilted his head, adjusting, and the kiss deepened. The fabric of his tie, still bunched in your hand, was soft against your fingers as you clung to it like an anchor.
When you finally pulled back, your cheeks felt hot, and your breaths came faster than before. George’s smiling eyes locked on yours, and for a second, the two of you just stood there, sharing flustered grins.
“It was love at first knot, for you and me, I mean,” you said cheekily, your hands still holding on to his forearms.
“Oh, I see I have competition now for my tie jokes. It is absolutely un-bow-lievable!” he replied.
You burst into giggles. Your attention suddenly returned to the wedding, and you became aware of the music and laughter coming from outside.
“Let me fix that for you,” you said as you pulled out your wand and muttered a quick spell to straighten the tie and remove creases.
“Aye, where’s the fun in that?” George exclaimed, wanting you in proximity again.
“Something is telling me that if I come to fix your tie again, we’re going to miss the wedding, and I can’t have Fleur and Molly blaming me for keeping you away all night,” you said, putting your wand back and turning your back to George as you tidied yourself up in the mirror.
"Jumping so fast to a night together, hmm?" he teased, wiggling his eyebrows in that signature mischievous way that always left you both laughing and exasperated. "Blimey, didn’t think I was that charming, but I won't complain!"
You ignored his comment, trying to fight the wild thoughts in your head and the flush on your face. Your eyes met him in the mirror as he flashed his notorious grin.
Your eyes widened as you hastily turned back around. "George, no!" you exclaimed, and before you could stop him, George had wholly pulled off his tie and wrinkled it.
You sighed in disappointment, arms flapped down, at a loss for what to say. George leaned in, his voice dropping to a mock-serious tone.
"I like it when you personally tie the tie," he declared, tilting his head and flashing you his trademark lopsided grin. "It’s tradition, isn’t it? Besides, magic’s no good for something as important as this. Magic can't give me kisses as good as yours."
And before you could respond, you heard voices calling you down to the wedding.
The next time ended up being your wedding. Your dad had led you down the aisle, and once you reached the altar and faced George, you noticed the crooked tie. In habit, you reached to fix the tie, ignoring everyone else in the crowd.
George’s hands covered yours mid-adjustment. His voice was soft and teasing as he said, “Darling, you’re supposed to say ‘I do’ first.”
The crowd laughed gently, but you didn’t care. Looking into his eyes, you grinned, “I do. Now, hold still.”
With practiced fingers, you straightened his tie one last time, the one you had personally picked out for this day. A deep purple silk that matched the vibrant ivy adorning the wedding arch. Satisfied, you looked up at him and caught his gaze—full of love, warmth, and that eternal mischief.
“Perfect,” you said quietly.
“You always make me so,” he replied, his voice barely audible to anyone but you.
When the vows were exchanged, and the officiant declared you husband and wife, George didn’t wait for permission to kiss you. He pulled you close, his hands warm against your back, and kissed you like it was the first and last time all at once. Cheers erupted around you, but for a moment, the world consisted of just you two.
Later, during the reception, George’s tie had again gone askew, this time from all the dancing and celebration. He found you in the crowd and dramatically plopped into the chair beside you.
“Wife of mine, it appears your services are needed again,” he said, holding out the wrinkled tie like a knight’s banner.
Laughing, you grabbed the tie, deftly fixing it. “You’d think you’d learn by now,” you teased.
“Never,” he declared, pulling you into his lap. “How else am I supposed to get you this close?”
The last time was when your six-year-old daughter learned to tie a tie herself. It was far from perfect—crooked and loose, with one end far longer than the other—but you couldn’t bear to correct her. Not when her little face was so scrunched up in concentration, her tiny hands fumbling with the fabric as if it were the most crucial task in the world.
“Well, what do you think, Daddy? Did I do a good job?” your little girl asked, her big eyes shining with hope.
You playfully nudged George, who was grinning from ear to ear as he admired his daughter’s handiwork.
“Done!” she exclaimed proudly, stepping back to admire her handiwork on George, who was crouching his knees with the patience of a saint.
George looked down at the tie, then back up at her, his face lighting up with exaggerated delight. “Blimey, love, this might be the best one yet! Perfectly wonky—just my style.”
He moved closer to her ear and mock whispered “Better than any your mum’s ever done.”
“Oi!” you interjected with mock indignation, your hands on your hips. “Let’s not forget who’s been saving your neck—literally—for years.”
George chuckled, reaching out to pull both of you into a warm embrace. “I think it’s safe to say I’m the luckiest bloke alive, having my two favorite girls take care of me.”
Your daughter giggled, squirming happily between you. “Does this mean I can tie Daddy’s ties forever now?”
You exchanged a tender look with George. “I suppose,” you said, brushing a strand of hair from her face, “but only if you promise to teach your daddy how to do it himself someday.”
George feigned a gasp of horror. “Traitor! I thought you were on my side, darling!”
Your daughter giggled again, delighted by the playful banter, and you couldn’t help but laugh too. It was a moment of pure, unfiltered joy, the kind you wanted to freeze in time forever.
Later, after she had scampered off to play, George turned to you, tugging at the lopsided knot still hanging around his neck.
“Well, Mrs. Weasley, care to show her how it’s done?”
You rolled your eyes fondly, stepping closer. “I suppose someone needs to teach her the right way.”
George leaned forward, his hands resting lightly on your hips as you began to work on the tie. His voice was soft and full of warmth.
“You know, every time you do this, I think about that first day at King’s Cross. How lucky I was that you decided to help a hopeless eleven-year-old with his tie.”
You glanced up, your fingers pausing. “Lucky? You’ve been scheming ways to make me tie your ties ever since.”
“And you’ve been falling for it every time,” he teased, his grin boyish and irresistible. “Must be love.”
You finished tying the knot and smoothed it down, your fingers tapping his collar, hands lingering against his chest. “Must be.”
George kissed you then—soft and sweet, his arms pulling you closer as if he never wanted to let go. And in that moment, with your daughter’s laughter echoing down the hall and George’s tie finally, perfectly in place, you knew that your strings of fate would remain tied together forever.

Torturous//bully!weasley twins x afab!reader
CW: mentions past bullying, reader is a hufflepuff and goes through puberty summer before 7th year. Later on, this story will contain dark content such as nonconsensual sex, abuse, and manipulation. Read at your own risk!
word count: 1k
Never in your life did you think you would turn into the young woman you were today. Sure, you weren’t as beautiful as your mother (although she would say differently), but you were impressed with how you filled out the summer before your last year at Hogwarts. It wasn’t unknown that you were a late bloomer, but better late than never, right?
Maybe you would even find yourself a boyfriend, you thought as you finished packing your suitcase. It was the night before you left home for school. You never got over the excitement of getting to finally see your friends again and your favorite professors.
With a squeal, you rolled into bed and coved the majority of your face. Staring up at your ceiling, a feeling of dread washed over you. The twins. How could you forget? The thought of your peaceful summer coming to an end made you sigh. They were your worst nightmare. That’s the one thing you were worried about and it was enough to even make you reconsider going this year. But alas, it was your last year. Just one more and you would be free from the tortures they put you through forever.
You giggled softly as one of your friends pointed as Charlie, a cute boy in your house passed by your cart. He smiled at you and continued to make his way down the train. “You look good!” she said, wiggling her eyebrows. “I see your chest finally grew in,” her comment made you blush as you rolled your eyes. “Not as much as moms…. but I’m glad I finally look a little more my age,” you agreed, thoughts drifting back to Charlie. Maybe he would notice? You hoped.. he might even think you were cute and ask you on a date! I mean, you were both Hufflepuffs. The thought was enough to boost your confidence a little. A date with the cutest boy in your house, a girl could dream!
Your day dream was cut short by a hand snapping in front of your dazed face. “Wake up, love,” the deep voice spoke in your ear. You turned your head in horror to see the red head smirk. “Pleasure seeing you again, ay?” Fred teased and you scooted back towards the window. “Go away,” was all you managed to squeak out before he laughed. Winking at you, he followed his brother down the aisle. You grimaced.
“You have got to stand up for yourself this year! It’s bad enough you let them torment you, but this year will be different. You can’t let the bullying happen anymore, y/n….” but you weren’t listening to her, only thinking about how uncomfortable you felt with his face next to your head. It wasn't the first time Fred had gotten in your face, usually to spew nasty words at you, but it was the first time you felt a burn in your lower stomach. You weren’t sure what it was, maybe how much taller and muscular he was now or the fact that he finally got a much needed haircut, but the feeling slowly pooled up inside your underwear. “This year will be different for sure,” you mumbled as the train's horn shot through the air.
Later that night as you ate dinner after the sorting hat ceremony, your eyes drifted back over to where Fred and George were sitting. The both of them were laughing with some sixth-year Gryffindor; she was twirling her hair and giggling in between them. You almost felt jealous of her, but chalked it up to you never really catching the eye of any boy your age. Actually, the twins were the only ones who ever gave you any kind of attention. 'Just the shitty kind,' you grumbled to yourself. Deciding it would be smart to have an early night, so you left the Hufflepuff table and made your way to your common room.
The empty walls were cold and the air almost felt damp from the pouring rain outside. You shivered and hugged your arms around your freezing body, feeling the goosebumps littering your arms. It almost hurt; it felt like your body was in fight or flight by the way your heart was racing. You were actuall starting to get nervous as the feeli-
"Hello there,' a voice said in your left ear, making you quickly turn your head. Nothing. "Over here," it said again to your right. There they stood leaning against each other. "i'll say, y/n... you've grown," George chuckled and made a point to look at your chest. Fred snickered and walked forward taking a handful of your hair. "We missed you, love," he said using the nickname he's always called you. You rolled your eyes, "I'm sure you did, Fred, but now isn't the time." you tried to sound unintimidated, but you were sure they saw right past that.
Your hand came up to grab Fred's wrist, but George caught it before you could. "Watch yourself, we just wanted to say hello," he spoke sternly with amusement in his eyes. Fred tugged your hair a bit to the side before letting go. "George and I were bored all summer without little y/n to keep us company. I'm excited for all the fun the three of us will be having... especially now that you've finally grown into a young woman," he winked and the two of them made their way towards their common room, leaving you sweating despite the air's temperature.
Laying in bed that night you wondered what the twins had meant. Sure they messed with you every year, but something about their tone scared you even more than usual. What had you going through puberty have anything to do with it. You had a feeling they had something sinister planned, and with a gulp you rolled over and tucked the blanket up over your head. 'This year will be different. This year will be different,' you chanted over and over till you fell asleep while down in the Gryffindor common rooms, the twins smiled knowingly at each other. They finally had their toy back in their grasp, only they were going to end this year with a bang.
Thank you for reading! I'm excited to continue this story!! i’m having fun with it:)

“on the down low”
harry james potter x f!weasley!reader
no voldemort au
summary: you and harry have been hiding your relationship from your family for four months, but when he stays over for the holidays, they start to uncover the truth, one by one.
warnings: idk how long this is but it feels long, kissing, fluff, CHRISTMAS
me pretending voldemort doesn’t exist again for the sake of plot convenience and my own happiness
Godric, you hadn’t realized how hard it would be to pretend over the holiday. At first, it seemed like a dream come true. Harry staying at the burrow for Christmas meant you’d be able see him whenever you wanted, but you couldn’t exactly do what you wanted.
During the day, you and Harry had to act indifferent to each other, like you hadn’t been together since the end of the summer.
It was different than it was at Hogwarts, where nobody suspected a seventh year to go for her brother’s best friend, who was a year younger. That excluded Hermione, of course, who was just too damn smart to not figure you out.
You hadn’t realized how easy it was to sneak around in a giant castle with a multitude of empty classrooms and an invisibility cloak at your disposal compared to your house of nine other people where the walls were thin and the furniture was old, regardless of proximity between you.
You kicked Harry’s foot under the dinner table. He looked up from his plate and stared at you, bewildered. You nodded to your mother who had just asked him a question he clearly hadn’t heard.
She looked at him expectantly, waiting for his response. “Sorry?” He took his gaze away from you and onto Molly.
“Harry, I asked you if you’ve gotten yourself a girlfriend this year?” she clarified.
Harry spluttered, glancing at you quickly before looking back at her. He cleared his throat. “No, I haven’t.”
Your mother tutted. “A shame, really. Let’s hope you don’t end up like Charlie. Such a handsome boy, and yet, he can’t find a nice woman to settle down with,” she sighed and turned her attention to your older brother, who was rolling his eyes.
Harry looked relieved that he was no longer the one being questioned. “Mum, stop it. I’m only 22. I’m too young to settle down. Bill’s older and he’s not married.”
Bill stopped mid bite to gesture violently at Charlie to cut it out, but Molly paid him no mind.
“Spend your whole life with dragons, see if I care,” she responded vehemently. “Let’s hope your sister doesn’t go off with you to Romania when she graduates.”
Now it was your turn to roll your eyes as you became your mother’s new subject of torture. It was true, you were looking into a career with dragons, but it was unlikely you’d end up on the same reserve as your brother.
“You know, darling, you ought to find a nice boy. It would do you well.”
You grimaced. “And here we are, back to your favorite topic.”
“Not mine,” Fred interjected.
“Certainly not,” George added. “She’s not allowed to date.”
“Oh, she’s not, is she?” Ginny said, giving you a seemingly knowing look. Merlin, you could only hope she knew nothing.
“No, and neither are you, Gin,” Fred said swiftly.
“We’ll that’s unfortunate,” Ginny looked at you smugly. “Because I think our sister has had her eye on someone.”
Harry turned paler than normal, looking at you in alarm, his face saying, ‘Did you tell her?’ Hermione, to his side, gave you a similar look.
Your face heated under the eyes of your entire family. You shot Ginny a glare before deciding to get her back. “That’s what you think, but I know you bloody well fancy Dean Thomas.”
The focus shifted from you to Ginny. “Dean Thomas?” said Ron, staring at your sister in astonishment.
“Who’s Dean Thomas?” your mother asked cheekily.
Ginny groaned, hiding her red face in her hands. “I’m excusing myself. Goodnight, family.”
She stood up from the crowded table and basically threw her plate into the sink before running upstairs.
“Seriously, who’s Dean Thomas?” your mum asked for the second time.
“A boy in Ron’s year,” you explained briefly. “He’s perfectly decent,” you elaborated further, once you realized your family’s eyes were unrelenting.
“Well, who does she think you fancy?” Bill said, grinning. Why did the first thing he contributed during this conversation have to target you? Why couldn’t it have been revenge on Charlie?
“How should I know? I haven’t told her anything that would make her think I was interested in anyone.” That was a lie. You did tell her something.
“Are you?” Bill followed up.
“That’s really none of your business,” you said, standing up from the table and clearing your plate.
“As long as it’s not someone in our year, that’s what I say.” Ron nudged Harry, looking at his friend who nodded weakly.
You began to walk up the stairs, but not before shooting Harry a look that pleaded him to come upstairs when he could get away. Because of your circumstances, you’d gotten very good at giving each other wordless glances like these.
A little while later, a pajama clad Harry entered your room, checking the hall for anyone before closing the door behind him.
“Ron thinks I’m in the bathroom. Did you tell Ginny about us?” he said hurriedly.
“Of course not,” you denied. “I may have given her a hint though.”
Harry’s eyes widened. “What?”
“I didn’t mean to! She was talking about Dean, and asked me if I liked anybody, and who am I to lie, so I said yes.”
“Um,” Harry interjected. “One problem with that is that we lie about our relationship every day. You are a liar.”
“Don’t interrupt me, Harry. Anyway, she asked me who and I wouldn’t tell her, so she started listing names. She asked me what I thought of you, and I let it slip that I thought you were cute,” you said sheepishly, toying with a button on his shirt. “I think I scared her off with the Dean thing, we should be in the clear.”
Harry only grinned. “You think I’m cute?”
“Oh shut up, would you?” you said, pushing his chest away from yours.
“Sure.” He pulled you back by the waist, his hands resting on your hips as he ducked down to kiss you. He tasted like toothpaste, but you really didn’t mind it.
He was about to pull away after a moment, but you tangled your fingers in his hair, keeping his mouth attached to yours.
“I’ve missed you all day,” Harry murmured against your lips.
“Godric, me too.” You clung onto him like you knew it wouldn’t last, and it didn’t. Ron called out to Harry from somewhere in the hallway, and Harry pulled away from you. His glasses were fogged up and he was cursing Ron.
When the lenses cleared, he leaned down to press another chaste kiss to your lips. “I’ll see you in the morning,” he whispered, exiting the room quietly.
You slumped onto your bed, staring at the open door with a forlorn look on your face. Ginny suddenly appeared in the doorway, her mouth hanging open and her hand pointing to the end of the hall, then to where you sat.
“What- what have I just witnessed? Why? This changes life as we know it. You! And Harry! You-“
You hurried to cut her off, standing from the bed and practically sprinting to the door to cover her mouth. “You be quiet now,” you warned, looking both ways in the hall and shoving Ginny inside your room.
“Why did I see Harry leaving this room looking like he’s got something to hide?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Listen, lady, you didn’t see anything, because nothing happened,” you said, pointing a finger at her.
“I never said anything happened, I just said he had something to hide. And guess what? I know he has something to hide, because I know you like him,” she retaliated, pointing her finger right back.
“Who? Me? Like Harry? Psssshhh… you’ve got the wrong girl. That doesn’t sound anything like me.”
Ginny folded her arms over her chest. “Oh really? Well, does this sound like you? Oh, Ginny, Harry’s just so cute! I wish he would like me back because, well, I just love him so much!” She batted her eyelashes, imitating a version of you that didn’t exist.
“Actually, Gin, that sounds nothing like me, so you can just forget anything that you think you saw,” you retorted.
“I don’t think I will forget. I think I’ll just tell everyone that you’re sneaking around with Harry. I didn’t miss the look he gave you at dinner either! So I can tell everyone, or you can quit lying and just give me all the details.”
She did have a way of getting you to cave. Really, it was just tactful manipulation.
“Alright fine, but if you tell anyone, you’re dead. Well, you can tell Hermione. She already knows.”
Ginny gasped, very offended. “You told her before your own sister?”
“I did not! She’s too smart for her own good. Anyways, sit down.”
Then, you told Ginny everything. It felt actually good to be able to talk about your relationship to someone other than Hermione, especially to your only sister, who you were honestly very grateful for.
You told her about how he kissed you a week before you left for school, solidifying the relationship you were having throughout the summer holiday. You told her about how he was funny and such a gentlemen. You even told her about how you’d been sneaking off since school started, and what you’d been doing.
Once Ginny was fully satisfied with the information and you were relatively sure she wouldn’t squawk to any of your brothers, she bid you goodnight and went to bed.
The following morning, Christmas Eve morning, you had risen later than usual. “Good morning, family,” you greeted, entering the kitchen and heading straight for the kettle.
“Morning,” Ginny said from the table. “I trust you slept well. I expect you feel loads lighter now.”
“Oh yeah, much lighter,” you grinned back.
“What are you two on about?” Bill said from his seat across from Ginny.
“Oh, nothing. Our sister just shared some interesting things with me last night,” she hummed.
You saw Harry’s head perk up from the couch, where he was laying. Ron was sprawled on the floor below.
“Gin, shut up,” you warned quietly.
“I’m not even sure I want to know,” Bill said.
“Oh, you’d be delighted, I’m sure. But, alas, I’ve been sworn to secrecy,” Ginny sighed.
“Then why even bring it up, you idiot?” you said as you sat down next to her, carefully eyeing a nervous looking Harry.
Bill followed your gaze and whistled lowly. You almost had a heart attack. “I see. That is very interesting.”
You turned to face your sister. “Look what you’ve done now. Why not just shout it from the rooftops?” you scolded.
“I didn’t say anything!” she defended.
“She’s right, you gave yourself away,” Bill confirmed, leaning in to whisper, “You’re lucky Ron’s pretty clueless on the floor over there.”
Your face burned. “Just don’t tell anybody.”
“Now why would I do that? It’s a whole lot more fun if you do it yourself.” Bill grinned, leaving you and Ginny at the table.
You dropped your head into your arms.
Later, you and Harry sat in the yard, leaning against a tree. You were on the side that couldn’t be seen from your siblings’ makeshift quidditch game across the yard.
It was the nicest day of break so far, not too cold, but not necessarily warm either. There was a dusting of snow on the ground, which delighted you.
You were lying in Harry’s lap, gazing up at him as he mindlessly played with your hair. “I can’t believe you told Ginny,” he said for the tenth time since breakfast.
You rolled your eyes and sat up. “I already told you, she was nagging me. Plus, I can’t really talk to Hermione about this sort of thing. She’s hung up on Ron. I keep telling her Lavender was just a phase because of some stupid love potion infused chocolate, but she usually just goes glum and ignores me.”
“You could just stop talking about us,” he suggested, shrugging his shoulders.
“You wouldn’t understand,” you said, reaching forward to fiddle with the zipper on his jacket.
“Why? Am I too charming and handsome for you to shut up about?” He grinned, taking hold of your hand and pressing it to his chest.
“Something like that.” You smiled, but quickly stopped when you saw the smug look on his face. “Don’t let that get to your head, Potter.”
“I won’t,” he said, leaning in to kiss your lips. His free hand came up to frame your face, and you placed yours on his thigh. You had half a mind to pull away, but only enough to see his face.
“Harry, we can’t do this out here. My siblings are right over there. Someone could see us,” you said softly, staring up at his bright green eyes.
“Honey, if you keep looking at me like that, I’m not gonna care,” he said, breath heavy as he looked at you adoringly. Your stomach did flips and you instantly forgot about reasons to hold yourself back.
You surged forward, kissing him hard on the mouth. You knew you wouldn’t get the chance to do so until well after dinner, so you took advantage of your siblings being distracted. He responded enthusiastically, wrapping an arm around your waist, tugging you closer.
“Woah, looks like I’ve caught more than just the snitch!”
You sprang apart, wiping your mouth as you looked up to see one of your grinning brothers, hovering above the tree on a broomstick holding a little golden sphere.
“Charlie! This isn’t what it looks like,” you managed, pushing yourself as far away from Harry as possible.
“Really, because it looks like you’ve been snogging his face off,” Charlie said, looking pleased with himself.
Harry burned bright red, refusing to make eye contact with either of you.
“Charlie, what’s taking you so long?” you heard Ron call from the other side of the yard.
“I’ll keep this a secret, but only because I love you, little sister. And because it’s funnier this way.” Charlie grinned again and turned on his broom to speed back to the group.
You and Harry left for the house before anyone else did, completely ignoring Hermione on the couch, her nose deep in a thick book, as you rushed upstairs.
Once you were sure you were alone, you stopped Harry in the middle of the hallway. “Okay, that was the last time. No more doing that in the open.”
“Sorry, got carried away. At least it wasn’t Ron who saw us.” Harry shuttered, not even wanting to think about what his reaction would be.
“Shake it off, Harry. Just three, only three of them know. There’s like a bajillion others that don’t,” you rationalized. “Look, we just need to get through this holiday without anyone else finding out that we’re together. I think we can do that.”
“You lied to mother?” A stiff voice came from down the hallway. Shit. You forgot Percy was still in the house, holed up in his room doing his Ministry work.
Harry’s eyes widened as he shook his head at you, refusing to turn around.
“You’re seeing someone and you lied about it?” Percy frowned. “Well, I’ll have to tell her.”
“No, you won’t have to tell her. Don’t tell her. Please,” you practically begged.
Percy didn’t look convinced. His steely gaze wouldn’t let up. “I won’t if you promise me to tell her.”
“I promise, Perce, just let me do it when I’m ready,” you said, less of a real promise and more of a strategy to get him to go back into his room. You were thanking God when he nodded curtly and did just that.
“Well, would you look at the impeccable timing on that,” Harry said sarcastically.
You grimaced. “Dinner’ll be a real treat tonight.”
Dinner was not a treat. It was delicious, of course, courtesy of your mother. But it was quite tense, at least for you and Harry.
Bill kept shooting you knowing glances from across the table, looking back and forth between you and Harry, who made the seemingly unconscious choice to sit beside you.
Charlie couldn’t even look at you without snickering to himself, prompting your mum to start questioning him on his odd behavior.
Percy was silently urging you to say something about it, pulling at his collar uncomfortably and staring at you, unrelenting.
Ginny was, thankfully, docile for the time being.
“Charlie, would you stop laughing at your sister? I don’t see what’s so funny about her,” Molly scolded, finally having quite enough of your brother’s behavior.
“Nothing’s funny,” he said with a hint of a smile.
Bill was looking at him with his eyes narrowed slightly. “What do you know?” he asked suspiciously.
“What do you know?” Charlie replied, just as skeptical.
“I think the better question is, what does dad know about muggles?” You laughed nervously, getting weird looks from Ron and the twins. “Come on, dad. Why don’t you tell us about your latest case?”
Your father looked up from his meal, looking surprised, for he had hardly been acknowledged since the start of dinner. “Oh, well, we had an odd couple in the other day. They were the sort who didn’t really look like they belonged together. So, anywho, they-“
“Hold on,” Ginny interjected. “How do you know they didn’t belong together? There are loads of couples who you might not think belong together, but actually do, so it’s best not to judge before you know the whole story.”
Your dad looked confused. “Um, I guess they just didn’t seem compatible, but I’m sure they belong together just fine, Gin, no need to worry about that.”
As he continued with his story about this couple and their illegally enchanted carpet, you turned to glare at Ginny.
She gave you a rather obvious look of annoyance, which gained the attention of Fred and George.
“Something’s going on here, Freddie,” said George, leaning to his right.
“Agreed,” said George, looking around the table.
You actually heard Harry gulp beside you. You put a hand on his knee, attempting to comfort him. This action made him choke on the sip of water he had taken.
“All right there, Harry?” Ron asked.
“Oh, yeah,” Harry coughed. “Just fine.”
Percy cleared his throat. “Maybe he has something to say.”
“Percy, don’t be rude,” your mother scolded. “The boy’s just choked.”
“Yeah, Percy, don’t know why you’d think he wants to say something,” Ginny said. “So, keep your mouth shut.”
None of the siblings who knew had known that others at the table were also aware, but they were each starting to connect the dots.
“Can I just have a nice Christmas Eve dinner with my family?” Molly slammed one hand on the table. “Enough of the fighting and the strange comments. Please, just be normal.”
Fred grinned. “I can’t imagine what’s abnormal about us.”
“Oh, me neither. But you, Freddie, are abnormal looking,” George followed.
The rest of the night after dinner was just as stressful. You and your siblings were sitting around the living room, with the exception of Percy, who, to your immense relief, had gone back to his room for work.
Fred and George decided it would be a good idea to play a game of truth or dare with the assistance of some veritaserum they nicked from Snape’s stores the day before holiday began.
Needless to say, you and Harry were not excited.
“Hermione,” Fred said. “Truth or dare?”
Hermione rolled her eyes as George made a gesture that suggested she should choose truth. “Dare,” she said.
“I dare you to go outside and kiss one of the gnomes.”
“A gnome, Fred? Really?” Ron scoffed.
“You’d rather she kissed you, would you?” George teased.
Ronsaid nothing, but his ears turned red, giving him away.
Hermione’s face turned a similar shade as she stood up from the armchair. “Fine, then.”
You all collectively gathered around the window and watched Hermione stalk outside and grab one of the ugly gnomes by its bald head. She made a disgusted face and gave the gnome a peck so fast that you barely saw it.
She came back inside and washed her mouth out in the sink before returning to the chair. “George,” she said coolly. “Truth or dare?”
“Truth, of course!” George said happily. “We’ve got to put our stolen goods to good use.”
“It was very wrong of you to take Professor Snape’s materials,” Hermione said, frowning. “Is it true that you were the ones who gave Ron amortentia spiked chocolates last month?”
“Yes,” George said easily.
Ron scoffed loudly. “You told me that wasn’t you! You said it was her! I was following Lavender Brown around for weeks because of those!”
“Well, we hadn’t meant for you to go for her. It was supposed to be someone else.” George winked at Hermione.
“We messed up the potion,” explained Fred.
George looked to you. “Truth or dare?” he asked.
“Truth,” you said mindlessly, thinking about Hermione and the gnome. You noticed the alarmed look Harry was giving you and realized your mistake. Damn gnome.
George grinned mischievously. “Do you really have a boyfriend?”
“Yes,” you said unwillingly.
A gasp from Ron could be heard from the other side of the room. Ginny and Hermione were looking rather nervous for you. On the contrary, Bill and Charlie were quite amused.
“Tell us, who is he?” Fred continued off of George.
“Harry Potter,” you admitted before slapping a hand across your mouth.
An even louder gasp could be heard from Ron that caused Charlie to burst out laughing. Fred and George were looking rather pleased with themselves. You supposed that was better than them pranking the life out of Harry for dating their sister, which you had expected to happen.
Harry sat on the couch with his hands clenched at his sides, looking at the floor as his whole face turned red.
“My sister, Harry? Really?” Ron said, his voice carrying a mixture of anger and betrayal.
“Yeah, well, I love her,” Harry said, fully dropping his head into his palms. He definitely hadn’t meant to say that to everyone in the room. “I hate this damn potion.”
“The heart wants what it wants, Freddie,” said George.
“It sure does, Georgie,” Fred said, clasping his hands together over his chest.
“Honestly, this is a Christmas miracle,” Hermione burst out. “I’ve been covering for you for months. Four, horrible, long months.”
“Four months?” Ron said, bewildered. “Hermione, you knew and you never told me?”
“Oh, please, Ronald. If you opened your eyes you would’ve seen what was going on,” Hermione said.
“Easy for you to say, you’re bloody brilliant. You could spot anything off. I love that about you,” Ron confessed.
Bill and Charlie were wheezing on the floor at this point.
“This is the gift that keeps on giving!” Fred exclaimed.
“I’m so happy we played this game,” George said through laughs.
Hermione stood, cheeks burning. “We should all go to bed. It’s Christmas tomorrow.” She went up the stairs quickly. Ron seemed to have forgotten all about you and Harry and followed her.
Your other four brothers slowly made their way upstairs, practically dying from laughter at your expense.
Ginny stood awkwardly, bidding you and Harry goodnight and leaving you alone in the room.
“That could’ve gone worse,” you said, finally making eye contact with Harry, who was still looking a little red.
“I, for one, didn’t fancy confessing my love for you to your whole family,” Harry said, scooting over to your spot on the couch.
“I did.” You grinned, leaning towards him. He rolled his eyes, but indulged you anyways, letting his lips touch yours.
“Merry Christmas, Harry,” you whispered against him. “I love you, too.”

i like you, and it scares the hell out of me p2
pair: Fred Weasley x reader requested by anonymous
Could you maybe possibly do like a part 2 of I like you, and that scares the hell outta me I think it would be cute if reader went to the burrow for either summer or winter break and she gets to meet all the Weasleys and maybe also Sirius and Remus, and they all have their collective opinions of her since she's a Slytherin, but everyone also just teases Fred about her and how she's a Slytherin, and mostly his older brothers tease him
masterlist | navigation | p1
❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿
Winter break at The Burrow was chaotic, noisy, and full of life. Fred loved it, but this year, he was on edge. This year, you were coming to stay for the holidays. You, his Slytherin girlfriend.
As he stood in front of the house, waiting for you to arrive, George nudged him with a smirk. “You nervous, Freddie?”
Fred shot him a glare. “No.”
George’s grin widened. “You sure about that? You’ve got that sweaty, panicky look.”
“I don’t panic,” Fred muttered, glancing toward the gate.
The rest of the family was already inside, bustling around with Christmas decorations and setting the table for dinner. Fred wasn’t exactly sure how his family would react to you. His mum, bless her, would probably be polite. His dad, too. But his brothers? Merlin, they’d never let him live it down.
When you finally appeared at the gate, Fred's breath caught. You looked a little nervous, clutching your bag tightly, but you smiled when you saw him. Fred’s nerves eased, and he hurried over to meet you.
“Hey,” you said, your voice a bit shaky. “Ready for this?”
Fred took your bag and slung it over his shoulder. “Yeah. Don’t worry, they’re a bit mental, but they’ll like you.”
You raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. “Even though I’m a Slytherin?”
Fred chuckled, leading you toward the house. “They’ll love you. And if they don’t, I’ll hex them for you.”
You laughed softly, and Fred felt a swell of pride at being able to make you feel a little more at ease.
The moment you stepped inside, the chaos hit full force. Molly Weasley was in the kitchen, cooking up a storm, and Arthur was busy tinkering with some Muggle contraption. Fred introduced you quickly, and Molly gave you a warm hug, while Arthur asked a few curious questions about your school experiences. They seemed welcoming enough, but Fred could feel the judgmental eyes of his brothers on him already.
“Is this her, then?” Bill’s voice came from behind, and Fred turned to see his oldest brother standing with a teasing smile.
“Yep,” Fred said, narrowing his eyes at Bill. “This is her.”
Bill extended his hand to you. “Bill Weasley. Nice to meet you. Heard a lot about you.”
“Hopefully good things,” you said with a small smile, shaking his hand.
“Mostly,” Bill said with a grin, glancing at Fred. “But, you know, Fred’s been saying for years he’d never even look at a Slytherin, let alone date one.”
Fred groaned. “Not this again.”
“Oh, we’re definitely bringing this up,” Charlie chimed in, appearing from the living room. “This is the Fred Weasley who said he’d never date a Slytherin. And yet, here you are.”
You gave Fred an amused look, and Fred muttered something under his breath about disowning his brothers.
“Don’t worry, Fred, I think it’s sweet,” you teased.
Fred rubbed the back of his neck, his face turning slightly pink. “Yeah, well, don’t let them fool you. They’re just jealous I’ve got the best girlfriend.”
George, who had been quiet up until now, suddenly leaned in with a mischievous grin. “Sure, Freddie. That’s why you spent half of last year sulking around saying you’d never date a Slytherin, and now you can’t stop staring at her.”
Fred gave George a light shove. “Sod off.”
The teasing continued all through dinner, with each Weasley brother taking their turn to make a comment about Fred’s choice in a girlfriend. Even Percy, who was usually more serious, made a remark about how “unexpected” it was for Fred to end up with someone from Slytherin.
But despite the teasing, Fred could see that his family was warming up to you. His mum kept asking if you needed more food, his dad was fascinated by your tales of Beauxbatons, and even his brothers seemed impressed by your quick wit and charm. Every now and then, Fred would catch you laughing along with one of Bill or Charlie’s jokes, and he’d feel a warmth in his chest.
Later that evening, Sirius and Remus arrived for a visit, bringing with them the same easy-going banter and lighthearted teasing. Sirius, upon learning you were a Slytherin, made a show of pretending to be offended.
“A Slytherin, Fred? I thought I taught you better than that!” Sirius said with a mock gasp, ruffling Fred’s hair.
Fred rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah. You dated plenty of Slytherins back in your day.”
Remus chuckled from the side, clearly amused. “Don’t let him fool you, Fred. Sirius always liked the troublemakers.”
Sirius grinned, wrapping an arm around Fred’s shoulders. “Well, if you’re going to break tradition, you might as well do it properly.”
Remus leaned toward you, offering a kind smile. “Don’t let them overwhelm you. They’re all bark, no bite.”
You smiled back, clearly more relaxed now. “I think I can handle them.”
Fred couldn’t help but smile as he watched you fit in with his family. Sure, the jokes about dating a Slytherin would never stop, but seeing you laughing with George, trading stories with Bill, and even getting into a friendly debate with Sirius made it all worth it.
As the night wound down, you and Fred found yourselves sitting by the fireplace, the warm glow casting soft shadows across your faces. Fred slipped his hand into yours, giving it a gentle squeeze.
“They like you,” he said quietly, glancing over at his family.
You smiled softly. “Yeah, I think I like them too.”
Fred grinned. “Told you they would.”
You leaned your head against his shoulder, and for a moment, everything felt perfect. It didn’t matter that you were from Slytherin or that Fred had sworn he’d never date someone from your house. None of that mattered anymore.
All that mattered was that, somehow, against all odds, you and Fred had found each other.

Prompt 28 - Coach
@wolfstarmicrofic August 28, word count 433
“Okay Harry, ease up on your descent. Perfect! Well done!” Sirius cheered Harry on. He was only six, but already he was flying loops around the rest of the Weasley kids. “Alright George, Fred, I’m releasing a bludger, be careful of the little ones!” He warned, flicking the release on the rattling bludger ball. It shot into the air and straight for Ginny, who had the quaffle. Fred shot in front of her and hit the bludger across the pitch. “Excellent Fred. Right Ginny, let’s see you get the quaffle past Bill.” He watched as the tiny five-year-old slowly headed towards the goal on her first broomstick. She wobbled a bit but lined up her shot and threw it. Bill kindly flew to the wrong hoop and Ginny scored. She squealed with joy and turned to look at Sirius.
“Did you see Uncle Sirius?!” She shouted excitedly.
“Yes, I did. Well done Ginny!” he beamed at her.
“YAY!” Harry whooped as he swooped past Sirius, his little hand clutching the snitch. A disgruntled Charlie landed next to him.
“Is that thing rigged for him to catch it or am I actually losing to a six-year-old?” He asked grumpily.
“Charlie my little mischief-maker, you are actually losing to a six-year-old,” He chuckled fondly, ruffling Charlie’s hair. The redhead shook his head and got back on his broom to circle high above.
“How’s it going, coach?” Remus whispered in his ear, making him jump. He hadn’t heard him approaching.
“Oh, just fine. I think in a few years we might have an actual legit quidditch team here,” He looked out at the Weasley kids and Harry. Bill now had Ron in goal and was telling him what to do as Ginny came nearer with the quaffle raised. But he missed what happened next because Harry came shooting over on his broom, jumped off it mid-flight, hung on to it with one hand and let his momentum carry him into Sirius’s waiting hands. “You’ll be the death of me, Harry James Potter,” He yelped as he pulled his godson in close. The little boy just giggled.
“Hi Uncle Moony,” He waved at Remus.
“Hello, Harry. Are you annoying Charlie again?”
“Yes!” Harry replied with a wicked grin. He wiggled in Sirius’s arms to be put down, hopped on his broom and shot off again.
Remus stood behind Sirius, wrapped his arms around his waist and rested his chin on the top of Sirius’s head. Sirius sighed happily as they watched the seven children racing around the field behind the Burrow having the time of their lives.

All the Drarry Fics I've read and loved - Part 2
Back with another list.
No one ever told me by Slight Weasel - It is a one-shot where Harry marries Draco to keep him out of Azkaban. Harry says a lot of 'er', and Draco is doing his best to not be a prick. Harry's POV shows a Draco who has changed and is doing his best in drastic circumstances. It is an MPreg fic, so please read the tags before you jump in. I like reading MPreg fics, so I loved it.
Slutty Butter by Drarryweather - The best three-shot smut fic I've ever read (After Hoko_onchi - honestly, I love them; have read almost everything by them and 10/10 recommend). The writing is fantastic, the ending is satisfying, and there is a kinky Draco who unlocked several kinks for me. Everybody wins.
We're Not Friends by Alexmeg - I read this and cried a lot. Deals with heavy stuff. It is a short fic. But I feel this deals with what happens with Draco after the war at Hogwarts realistically. People leave him alone. And he is not just alone; he is lonely. So when he asks to meet Harry one day, it is suspicious. Ends on a happy note (I don't read fics with sad endings, so trust me, read this). Good fic. (I have also read Tell me a secret by them - this is also good but the ending felt off. Also, took me a long time to get into this fic. It is inspired by Grounds for Divorce so I had high hopes tbh. But oh well)
Not Mine, Never Yours by CapricornBookworm - Oh dear lord, we love oblivious Harry and pining Draco, but at one point, I was screaming at Harry to just realise that he's in love with Draco. And the ending soothed my burnt Drarry soul. And we get Charlie Weasley. Honestly, the best and the hottest Weasley. Would also recommend other fics by them. I've read them all. If I like a fic, I read all the other fics by the author.
Get What You Knead by dodgerkedavra - Harry is a shopowner and, fortunately/unfortunately, ends up buying a shop opposite Draco. The way Harry gets re(?)-obsessed with Draco is hilarious. Love this one-shot. If you are a cat lover, you'd definitely love this one.
All In Due Time by gnarf - It is an MPreg, and honestly, it has cinnamon roll Scorpius and I loved him. My heart broke for Draco in this fic. It was like one after the other thing was going bad for him. And Harry could've stepped in earlier. But I guess that's why this fic works and is aptly titled. Because you finally see Draco happy with his kids and find love with Harry after he has somewhat healed. Love this journey for them.
A Shower, A Meal, A Nap, and A Shag by chickenlivesinpumpkin - This is an 8-parter fic. Read it only if you are of a strong heart and can take rough, and I mean rough af smut cuz even I had to skip certain parts. It has a fantastic possessive, jealous, and obsessive Harry but you know there's something wrong. In one of the parts, they kinda break up (not a spoiler), and again, if don't like such a vivid description of a break up then skip that part. The fic, otherwise, is a masterpiece. I have realised a masterpiece fic will often bring up issues for you, and you will want to add disclaimers. The author has also done so. So, read this fic, but only if you're in a strong mind space. Read the tags before you get into it.
we have heard on high by oflights - Oh, this is a lovely fic. A soulmate au, where Harry knows who his soulmate but Draco doesn't know it yet. There's a good backstory to it. It is a long one-shot. It is a good late-night light read. I have definitely read more fics by this author but can't recall any at the moment. So do check them out.
I hope you all like the recs. Let me know if you have read any of them or read them after my rec and liked it? I mean it's okay if you don't but I'd love it if you do, you know? Also, thanks for all the love on my last rec list.
I will definitely come back with another list. Till then, keep reading, writing, and loving Drarry 💚🩶 (always grateful to the authors who write fics and share their art with us)
PS. Some of these fics will require you to have an ao3 account.

༺═───────────═༻
A good few weeks passed before your hair fully returned to normal and even though you considered it, you didn’t make Fred dye his again. But you did need to go through a couple more boxes on yourself. After the third cycle, the dye finally faded away to its normal color rather than red, which you welcomed back gratefully.
Even after all the time that had passed, the competitors still weren’t chosen. You all tried to go about your day as normal, but anticipation and excitement quickly began to spread through the school. Everyone, student and staff, was eager to start the tournament. Although everyone had entered within the first few days of the year, the selection wouldn’t be made until tonight, weeks later.
After dinner everyone gathered in the great hall, chatting on about their guesses on who would be the three students. Some of the tables had been set aside and replaced with the wood bleachers, situated so that the goblet was in the center of the room and everyone would have a good view of it. You sat on these bleachers just one seat in front of Fred, leaning back to let his knees support you.
Dumbledore stepped up to the cup and instructed everyone to sit, waiting until they did so to begin speaking. “Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the champion selection!” He announced to the now quiet room. Every single one of you were paying attention. The professor waved a hand across the room, dimming the torches until the blue flame was the main source of light.
He stepped toward the cup, staring at it as if willing it to do something. On cue, the blue fire suddenly turned red and spit out a small piece of paper, which Dumbledore caught. “The Durmstrang champion is,” he started, reading off the name. “Viktor Krum!” Cheers came from their table and everyone clapped him on the back. Viktor stood and walked down to the headmaster, shaking his hand.
With no warning, the goblet presented another name, this time written on an elegant piece of parchment lined with gold. “The champion for Beauxbatons is Fleur Delacor!” Fleur stood with a smile, walking towards Dumbledore with applause following her. She shook his hand as well and then off to the next competitor.
“The Hogwarts champion, Cedric Diggory!” The room erupted into cheers as his name was called, being a popular choice amongst the Hogwarts entries. Cedric wore a proud smile, accepting every congratulations he was given on the way up to the rest of the champions. He shook Dumbledore’s hand before joining them.
“I still think I should’ve been able to enter.” Fred complained as the applause died out. You put a hand on his knee sympathetically.
“If only you were a year older.” You told him, still using his legs as the back of a chair. He absentmindedly began to twirl a piece of your hair.
“Excellent! We now have our three champions!” Dumbledore announced. “But in the end, only one will go down in history. Only one will hoist this chalice of champions. This vessel of victory. The Tri-wizard cup!” Everyone’s attention was directed to the end of the hall where the cover was lifted off the trophy. It was a blue and silver cup, decorated elegantly and giving off a bright glow. The entire room applauded once more.
The celebration was suddenly put on hold, heads turning back to the stone goblet. The flame danced again in preparation of a fourth name. It turned red and another piece of paper was shot into the air, falling slowly into the headmaster’s hands.
“Harry Potter,” he read quietly. The entire room turned towards Harry, who sat on your right side. You glanced at him and he met your eyes nervously before looking back in Dumbledore’s direction. “Harry Potter?” He called, scanning the room for the boy.
Harry tried sinking further into his seat and you could feel the dread coming off of him. “Harry Potter!” Dumbledore yelled, finally spotting him.
“For goodness sake, Harry.” Hermione said, reaching down and grabbing his shoulder, pushing him in the right direction. The entire room was silent enough that you could hear the crackling of the fire. Harry reluctantly made his way to the professor, each slow step bringing more tension to the room.
The boy was handed his name and then headed toward the rest of the champions, his eyes moving between all the whispering students around him. The whispers soon turned into protests. “He’s a cheat!” “He’s not even seventeen yet!” Harry slouched, making him look smaller than normal. He passed the teachers, receiving looks from every one of them except for McGonagall who put a hand on his shoulder.
With all four students selected, the flame in the goblet died out until it was extinguished, leaving the room quiet and dark again. Dumbledore seemed to come back to his senses. “You’re all dismissed!” He yelled, hurrying everyone out of the hall so he could attend to the new situation. You gave Harry a sympathetic look, which he didn’t see because he was staring down at the floor, confused. You stood, taking Fred’s hand when he offered and letting him hold yours while you stepped off the bleachers.
“How do you supposed he did it?” Ron asked out in the hallway, now that the crowd dispersed.
“It doesn’t look like he did anything.” You replied. “He looked more confused than we were.”
“You don’t think he figured out a way to enter illegally?” Fred added, walking beside you.
“I don’t think there is a way to enter illegally. And definitely not a way that a fourth-year could figure out. Even Harry.” You responded and Hermione agreed with you. But there wasn’t any way to know for sure what happened until you were told straight from Harry.
─────────────────────────
Time passed in anticipation as everyone waited for the first task to be announced. You were told a couple of days after the champions were chosen that Harry didn’t put his name in the goblet and he would be competing just like the other three. Most people didn’t believe him and were even mad at him for being a competitor, but you stood by your belief. There’s no way he entered on his own.
As far as the first task goes, there would be no telling when or what it would be. It could be days from now or weeks. The one thing this tournament was good at is secrecy.
You sat on the couch in the currently quiet common room, reading one of the books you picked up from the library. During this time of day, most students were out and about, except for you and now Fred. He was silent entering the room until he jumped down onto the couch next to you, making you jump. “God, Fred.” You shook your head, ignoring him and drawing your gaze back down to your book.
He took it from you, setting it down on the table in a way to make sure you wouldn’t lose your page. You crossed your arms, glancing back up at him. “I have a secret.” He crossed his legs, facing you with a dorky smile.
“Oh yeah?” You replied, shifting so that you sat against the arm of the couch.
“But you can’t tell anyone because I’m not really supposed to know.”
“I can’t make any promises.”
“Well, then I can’t tell you, love.” He shrugged, acting like he was getting ready to stand and leave. But even if you were going to tell someone— which you weren’t— he would probably share it with you anyway.
“Fine,” You set a hand on his leg to keep him there. “I won’t tell anyone.”
He looked around him as if there were anyone else in the common room and leaned in close to you, brushing your hair out of the way so he could whisper in your ear. You contained a shiver as his fingers brushed against your neck. “I know what the first task is. “He said, boasting.
You sat back to look him in the eyes, raising an eyebrow. “How?” You asked him skeptically. “No offense, but you’re the last person they would tell.”
“Ok well, I don’t know exactly what it is but I do know what’s in it.” He admitted, his gaze briefly drifting to whatever was near the floor.
“And what is that?”
“Dragons,” he announced, waiting for your reaction. You sat up a little.
“Dragons?”
“Dragons.” He repeated. “And for your information, I said I wasn’t supposed to know. They only told me because my brother—”
“Charlie?” You interrupted, causing Fred to abandon the rest of his sentence.
He sighed, rolling his eyes. “Yes, Charlie’s coming.” He said, already knowing your reaction. You grinned at the news.
“I haven’t seen him since Christmas! When’s he getting here?” You asked, speaking quickly. You had first met Charlie back in your first year and he immediately became an older brother to you. Even after he graduated, you still saw him during the holidays.
“We’re supposed to help him unload the dragons tonight.” Fred explained. “And he specifically instructed us to bring you.” Fred tilted his head toward you, amused at your excitement.
“Of course he did,” You told him, resting an arm on the back of the couch. “Otherwise he’d have to wait to see his favorite sibling again until Christmas.”
Fred shook his head. It was a running joke between you all and after the first few times it was told, it stopped bothering him. “Well, lucky for you. You get to see your favorite Weasley every day.”
You tilted your head, making a face that suggested Fred wasn’t your favorite. Even though evidence would prove otherwise. He scoffed and grabbed you from your spot on the couch, pulling you toward him to tickle you. “I know I didn’t just see you make that face.”
You laughed against your will, squirming to get out of his arms. “Fred, you’re torturing me!” You got out between giggles. You escaped his tickling but he still locked his arms around you, trapping you there.
“Freddie, Let me go!” You begged, using your hands to try and pry his arms off, clearly unsuccessful.
“Not until you take it back,”
“I didn’t even say anything!”
“You know what you did, y/n l/n.” He pouted exaggeratedly, loosening his grip a little when you stopped wiggling.
“Fine. You’re my favorite,” You admitted with a sigh.
“Your favorite what?”
“Freddie!”
“Your favorite what?” He teased you, squeezing you tightly. You turned around in his arms so that you were facing him.
“Okay, you’re my favorite person in the entire world.” you told him, making a stupid face at him. He paused for a split second. That wasn’t the answer he expected. But just as every other time, he snapped out of it quickly.
“Well, I’m flattered.” He replied, letting his hand slide to your shoulders and then down your arms to hold your hands. “And you’ll be happy to hear that you’re my favorite person too.” Fred booped your nose, putting a little smile on your face.
“That’s wonderful news.” You stated simply, taking in the details of the boy you were looking at. God, he really was attractive. And it was a mystery why it took you so long to realize it.
─────────────────────────
After dark, you all had to take a walk through the woods to get to the spot where the dragons were brought in. You, Fred, George, and Ron all came to see Charlie, each of you with a little light at the tip of your wands that acted as a flashlight.
“Where’s Ginny?” You asked, using your wand to see where you were walking.
“Dunno,” George replied with a shrug. “She said she’d see Charlie tomorrow.”
Despite the light he held, Ron tripped over a root and stumbled a few feet before catching himself and standing again. “I mean this with no offense,” He started, brushing himself off. “But why are you here? I mean he’s our brother—” He was cut off by Fred jabbing him with his elbow, sending him a brotherly glare.
“Because clearly he likes me better.” You returned, not bothered by his question. The sound of dragons growling in the distance was now becoming more audible.
“What, that’s ridiculous—” Ron was cut off again by George.
“No, she’s right. He said specifically in his owl that he likes her better than all three of us combined. And he wants her help with the dragons.” He explained to his younger brother.
“And anyway, she was invited. So why don’t you close that big mouth of yours, Ronnie.” Fred said, shoving his brother’s shoulder.
You came up on the spot, first seeing the four huge cages, all covered so that you couldn’t see what was in them. However, you did see a tall red-haired man climbing down from one of them. He beamed when he saw your group.
“Charlie doesn’t prefer her over his own brothers.” Ron mumbled. Fred glanced down at his brother and then gestured to you, who was already greeting Charlie.
“There she is!” He said, pulling you into a huge bear hug. It felt like he waited until you couldn’t breathe to let go of you. Charlie had a grin on his face, which was painted in a thin layer of ash. It spread even into his long red hair he had tied up, revealing the assortment of rings he wore in his ears. “How’s my favorite sibling?”
This was clearly meant to piss of Ron, which worked flawlessly. “She’s not even your sister,” He complained, crossing his arms. You shot him a look.
Charlie glanced at Ron and then Fred, eyeing him with a smirk. “Well, not yet.” He responded, sending a wink in your direction. You felt heat move to your cheeks, even more so at the look on Fred’s face.
“Nice to see you too, Charlie.” Fred responded sarcastically, doing his best to quickly shake off his previous expression.
Once Charlie properly greeted his brothers, he handed out hard leathery coats, gloves, and boots. “What are these for?” Ron asked, putting on the garments. You slipped yours on, letting it fall around you. It was long enough to reach your boots, making it so your whole body was covered.
“That’s to keep you from burning to death when we get a look at these guys,” Charlie responded, patting the cage. “They’re definitely not happy after such a long trip in such a small cage.” Ron visibly gulped and made sure to button up the coat completely.
“That’s small?” George asked, watching his older brother make his way to the first cage. He nodded casually.
“For them, it is.” Charlie added. He was around dragons long enough that he could forget none of this was normal for everyone else. Most people have never even seen one in person.
On each corner of the cage, the cover was held in place by thick chains, which carried a lock just as impressive in size. “Put your hoods on,” Charlie instructed, kneeling down to the first lock. “And make sure you don’t get your face melted. That coat is completely fireproof but anything uncovered is gonna get burned.” He pointed out a little flap on the inside of your coat that you could lift over your face if needed.
Charlie flicked his wand, unlocking the first corner. The chain fell and allowed its portion of the cover to flap a little. The dragon inside rumbled at the movement. “Get ready!” He called, walking over to the next lock where you stood.
He unlocked it and as soon as the chain fell, the cover lifted and fell toward the other side of the cage, revealing the dragon inside. There was absolutely no warning but Charlie somehow grabbed you quickly enough, covering your face and turning you so your back was toward the dragon. Within part of a second, fire surrounded you two, simply bouncing off of your jackets. You felt nothing more than a a sudden wave of heat.
Once it ended, Charlie brushed any remaining flames off of you and turned toward the creature. He spoke firmly to it in a dialect you didn’t recognize, which settled the dragon.
You glanced over at Fred, who stared back at you with wide eyes and his mouth slightly agape. “Bloody hell.” He said quietly, putting a hand to his chest so he could start breathing again.
Charlie spoke like this for a minute until the dragon sat contently in its cage. That’s when you finally got a good look at it. It was absolutely huge, with sharp horns running across its back and down its tail, covering the majority of its body. Charlie wasn’t joking when he said the cage was too small. “A horntail?” You asked, beyond impressed. You received a proud grin from him, as if he was showing you his child.
“Isn’t he beautiful?” He replied, pulling off the rest of the cover. Fred walked to your side reluctantly, not quite trusting that it was done breathing fire.
“I’ve never seen one in person,” you said in absolute awe. It’s huge head turned toward you, eyes focusing on your face for a few moments before losing interest. The dragon turned around in its cage, getting a good look at its new surroundings.
Charlie had you all split up and take a section of the remaining cages at a time. “These ones won’t be so aggressive.” He assured. “The horntail was the hardest of all of them.” You and Charlie walked ahead to get to the next cage, which was parked farther away to avoid conflict between the dragons.
“So, when are you going to start dating my little brother?” Charlie asked suddenly, gesturing to Fred who walked a little ways behind. You snapped your head up to him.
“What are you talking about, Charlie? We’re not dating.” You replied to him, taken aback by his forward question.
“Oh please, y/n.” He said, wiping a bit of ash off his face, which smudged black against his pale skin. “We’ve all been taking bets since your first year.”
You stuttered, clearly not knowing how to respond. He laughed at this, stopping at the corner of the cage.
“If you say you don’t like him even a little then you’re lying.” He said, kneeling down and unlocking the first lock. “And I need you to hurry up and get with him or I’ll lose money to Bill.” Charlie has always been one to say exactly what he was thinking but this was the first time it caught you so off guard. Ron was on the other side and undid the second lock, unveiling a smaller green dragon. This one was quite vocal but didn’t attempt to roast you.
“I’m so glad you know how I feel about him, Charlie.” You replied, crossing your arms. He shrugged and smiled, turning to remove the cover completely.
You noticed George struggling with a cage by himself so you walked over to help him, trying to avoid any further interrogation from his older brother.
“Oi, Fred. Help me with this one!” Charlie called, heading to the last cage. Fred passed you on the way over, nudging you playfully with his elbow. You made a face at him, brining out his wonderful laugh.
You made it to George, shaking your head and sighing as you kneeled down beside him. “God, does everyone think I’m in love with Fred?” You asked sarcastically. George paused for a moment and glanced at you, then returned to his work.
“Yes,” he responded simply. “But to be fair, most of us have a filter. Unlike Charlie” He nodded to the next lock and you moved there.
“I don’t know why everyone assumes that.” You muttered, lifting your wand to the lock in front of you.
“Well, are you?” George questioned, his eyes still focused on his corner of the cage.
“No!” You snapped defensively. But then your eyes drifted to Fred and you weren’t so sure. The sight of him made you feel like melting right there. He looked like he was actually starting to enjoy this, smiling as a smaller red dragon pressed its nose against the cage to greet him. He looked different to you lately. Just looking at him started to make your stomach flip.
George caught your stare. “You sure?”
You sighed, letting your face soften as you watched him. “No,” You said quietly. George looked up at you, surprised that you admitted it.
Do you even know how you feel about him? So much has change since the summer, but maybe that’s exactly why. Maybe you were proving everyone right after all. You paused for a minute before continuing on, looking down at George. “You can’t tell Fred.”
He glanced at his twin and then at you, probably considering wether or not to agree. After a brief moment, he gave you a soft smile. “I won’t, I promise.”
“Thank you, George.” You said, relieved. Charlie came over to your cage and helped you lift the cover completely to reveal a Swedish short snout, which was already fairly calm.
─────────────────────────
It was late when you finally finished since Charlie wanted every dragon to be settled perfectly into their temporary enclosures. “When is the task?” You asked him.
“Two days from now.” He answered casually, giving each dragon a once over.
“And how long are you staying?”
“I’ll be leaving with them once they’re done.” He told you and shoved your shoulder playfully. “But I’ll still see you for Christmas. You’re coming to the burrow, right?”
“I don’t think I have a choice, Charlie.” You said with a chuckle. Fred appeared by your side, resting an arm around your shoulder. “Fred is going to drag me there wether I like it or not.”
“Absolutely correct.” He responded, booping your nose and giving you a stupid perfect smile. Your eyes were stuck on his for a moment, mimicking his soft expression until you thought about your conversation with George. Your gaze drifted to him briefly, only to see his smirk.
Once Charlie was satisfied and absolutely sure all four dragons were taken care of, he let you go. The walk back was long and dark and the woods seemed to be endless. Fred offered an arm to you until you exited the forest, which you took and didn’t let go of even when you reached the castle.
A certain tension hung in the air between you two, there because both of you wanted to say something you couldn’t. Fred broke this with whatever thought was on his mind. “Glad we got to see Charlie.” He said sarcastically, coaxing a quiet laugh out of you.
“I imagine he had the same conversation with you, then?” You inquired, glancing down at the stone floor beneath your feet. The castle was dimly lit but still much brighter than the pitch black of the forest.
“That depends on if we’re thinking of the same conversation.” He responded, avoiding saying the words directly.
“I think we are.”
“I think we are too.”
Out of all your years of knowing Fred, this was the first time your talking flowed almost awkwardly. Normally it came so naturally to you two.
There was a long pause before you spoke again. “He’s just being Charlie though. Just ridiculous.” When you said it, you weren’t sure you meant it as much as before. Honestly, Charlie was likely not being ridiculous at all.
“Yeah, ridiculous.” Fred replied. Was there disappointment in his voice? God, the awkwardness made you want to squirm. That awkwardness was exactly why you didn’t want Fred to know what you said to George. It would ruin the dynamic between you, which was years in the making.
─────────────────────────
The next two days went by quickly and after that night you both seemed to forget about what happened with Charlie. Or at least pretended it didn’t happen. Regardless, both of you were back to normal. That morning the task was finally announced, giving only a couple of hours notice to the spectators.
The stadium, which would hold the event, was already occupied by nearly every student and teacher. You had managed to find and keep three sits for you and the twins, who had decided to hold betting. Once they had gone through every row twice, they finally arrived at your seats. “Look at this! I’m not even mad they canceled Quidditch this year!” Fred yelled over the crowd. You gave him a look, feeling the opposite about the situation.
“Well, I am.” You replied, still irritated that your sport had been put on hold for the year. Fred stopped beside you, letting George move to your other side.
“You’re always mad, Y/n.” George added, leaning over the wood barrier in front of you. Down below on the stadium floor were sharp jagged rocks, crowding the arena. On one end was a large golden egg, sitting just in front of a huge opening where each dragon would enter.
The objective of the task was to capture the egg, which was protected by the dragon. You imagined the type of dragon would be paired to each champion at random. But some would have a harder time than others, given that the horntail for example is much more aggressive than the welsh green and will guard his egg much more fiercely.
Suddenly the canon went off, sending the crowd roaring with more applause. The first competitor was Cedric, who took on the Swedish short snout. He collected his egg and made it out unscathed. Cedric was followed by Viktor Krum with the Chinese fireball and Fleur with the Welsh green.
“Harry has the horntail.” You said, barely audible over the yelling. “That seems hardly fair considering he’s only fourteen!”
“I don’t think they chose it for Harry on purpose.” Fred replied, clearly not as concerned as you were. You sighed and leaned down on the barrier.
Harry was introduced and then entered the stadium and reluctantly, taking in the sight. Everyone cheered when he entered, except for Hermione below you who looked far more worried.
The crowd went still in anticipation. The stadium below you suddenly looked abandoned, showing absolutely no sign of the dragon. You watched Harry make up his mind and make a start toward the egg, only to be stopped immediately by a huge tail swinging and hitting the rock just above his head. The crowd gasped as Harry rolled to the side, barely avoiding it.
The dragon, which you had seen calm only a few nights ago, now climbed the rocks with a huge growl and turned back to Harry. You gripped the wood tightly, Fred taking your hand off it to keep you from getting splintered.
The creature spotted the boy and sent fire in his direction, once again barely missing Harry. He made a run for the egg, followed closely by his opponent. The dragon gave Harry several more blows, swinging its tail and sending him flying. The crowd gasped and you grabbed Fred’s sleeve, clasping a hand over your mouth. It was a miracle he wasn’t just impaled.
Harry ducked behind a rock, just in time to avoid being burned. “Your wand, Harry!” Hermione yelled. “Your wand!” As if he heard her, he lifted his want, shouting a spell you couldn’t hear over the noise.
A few seconds later, a broom came speeding overhead, heading in Harry’s direction. He managed to jump onto it before more of the dragon’s fire reached him. Everyone applauded, Hermione probably the loudest.
Harry flew toward the egg, reaching down and just missing it. “Ooh” came from the crowd as he rose again to turn around, followed by the dragon. Everyone paused, hearing the crunch of metal breaking and seeing the chain falling to the ground, removing the only thing keeping the creature in the stadium.
The pattern in the audience continued with gasps this time as the dragon was freed from the area, forcing Harry to fly out and away from it. They left destruction in their path, nearly taking out the professors.
“Yes!” George cheered.
“Well done, dragon!” Fred followed. Harry and the dragon quickly ducked out of sight, leaving everyone else to wait for their return. It was several minutes before this happened.
Harry appeared over the rocks, his broom sturggling to take him back to the stadium. He ducked down and this time succeeded in taking ahold of the egg, which immediately sent the crowd into shouts and cheers.
─────────────────────────
Everyone met Harry on the walk back, taking turns clapping him on the back. Hermione, who had zero faith in his survival, jumped into his arms. “Well done, Harry!” You congratulated. The boy was still out of breath and covered in dirt and a little blood.
Ron grabbed his shoulders, taking the egg out of his hands and examining it. “Well, how are we going to celebrate?”
“We’ll take care of that, mate.” Fred chimed in, slapping his brother on the back. You could already see a plan forming in the twins’ head. And take care of it, they did.
It was late at night when you finally made it back to the common room, which you entered with Hermione. You were quickly hit with loud music, traveling effortlessly through your ears. The sound made your heart seem to hop right out of your chest, and the sight of the Gryffindors crowded in the common room increased that feeling. It was a miracle McGonagall hadn’t found out about this yet.
“Oh god, what did they do?” Hermione muttered as you stepped into the room. You two were exact opposites in your reaction.
Right through the door, you were grabbed by Fred, who placed a hand carefully on both of your arms. “I was wondering when you would get here, darling.” He told you. Hermione gave you a smirk as he dragged you away, leading you through the sea of Gryffindors.
“Are you drunk, Freddie?” You asked him, knowing full well he acted similar drunk as he did normally, but he wasn’t drunk very often.
“Not yet, love.” He told you with a smile and a wink. You shook your head at him, able to tell by his voice he was sober. “Dance with me, will you?” You obliged, letting him move you with the music. The beat pounded in your ears, syncing with your heart and thumping in your chest.
How they managed to bring in firewhisky was beyond you, but it only took a few drinks to bring you much closer to Fred. You were far from drunk but definitely tipsy. And you could say the same for him. The room around you faded as you pulled him closer to you, his face only inches away. His green eyes were fixed on yours making your heart double its pace. “You’re beautiful,” He said suddenly. His expression was soft and his eyes admiring you.
“What?” You whispered, your hands lifting to his neck. Fred had complimented you before but it sounded like he meant it differently this time. He leaned closer to you, his lips brushing yours delicately. It sent a shock through your body and in that moment all you wanted was to close the space. You could have kissed him, but there were too many drinks involved.
“Fred,” you mumbled, ghosting his lips with his name.
“Hm?”
“We’re drunk.” You told him. Neither of you were really drunk but you were still worried he— you too for that matter— was acting off of the firewhisky. He responded by pulling his face back from yours, respecting your decision without a second question.
“If we’re going to kiss, we’re going to do it sober.” You decided, making him chuckle. The sound made you long for him even more and you were sure if he asked to kiss you, you would let him. But of course, being Fred Weasley, he wasn’t going to ask you again after you told him no.
“I’m going to hold you to that.” He said, gently pressing a long kiss to your forehead. You were grateful he was still holding you because you could’ve melted right there if he wasn’t.
George made his way over, grabbing onto his brother. “Come on, Freddie!” He said and you could immediately tell he was much farther gone. “Sing a song for your girlfriend!” You didn’t even notice what he said since he started to drag Fred away. It was colder now without his warm body beside you.
Fred didn’t need any drinks to oblige in his brother’s request. The music changed and suddenly Fred was on the common room table, singing— more like shouting— the words to you, using his wand as a microphone.
You giggled at the sight, utterly taken by the boy, who blew you an exaggerated kiss. George, Charlie, and everyone else were right this whole time, you were absolutely in love with Fred Weasley.

He crossed his legs at the ankles and leant his shoulder against the stone archway, waiting for one particular elf to appear between the doorway.
“Master, Pucey.” The house elf squeaked, jumping in surprise. Almost dropping a china tea cup and matching saucer in his flustered state, the china clinking in his small hands. “What brings you to the kitchens?”
Adrian crouched down to his level, resting his forearms on his knees and clasping his hands together. “Good evening, Nikolai. I was wondering if you could do me a favour.”
“O-of course, Master Pucey. What does one need from Nikolai?”
A slight curl edged it’s way on his lips, cheek dimpling. “I’m after some of that special chocolate pudding. The one that melts in the middle.”

ONESHOT ALERT
Fandom: Harry Potter
Ship: Charlie Weasley x OC (Fem)
Troubling times.
"Charlie, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to. It was a love potion, I couldn't do anything."
Charlie walked into the Rose bedroom, closing the door behind him, keeping Beatrice out. He was mad. They went out to a bar, where Beatrice's drink was spiked with Amortentia. Things didn't go as planned and she kissed the guy who spiked her drink.
Beatrice slid down the closed door, sitting against it in the hallway.
"Charlie, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, love."
"Don't call me that."
"I know you're mad and I'm sorry but please know that it wasn't meant."
She was met with silence.
"You don't have to talk to me or be nice to me, just don't make me go to bed alone. We both know I can't."
"Maybe you deserve a few sleepless nights."
Her heart broke at that. Charlie knew exactly how much her insomnia bothered her. He knew exactly how she felt when he wasn't there and after two years without it, he is wishing it upon her. Hoping that it hits her again like it did so long ago. He wished it upon her, something she wouldn't curse her worst enemy with. It was cruel.
She stayed silent and she heard him sigh on the other side of the door.
"Do you want me to go? Back to my old bedroom?"
"Yes."
His voice was shaky but he seemed certain enough. She slowly stood up, walking down the stairs to her old bedroom. The old space brought back memories of torture and betrayal, but Charlie didn't seem to care, so why should she?
She couldn't bring herself to curse him. He was heart broken. Amortentia couldn't win against true love. He thought their love would overpower the stupid potion but love is only true when admitted and Beatrice hadn't admitted her love for Charlie to anyone, not even herself.
She flopped down on her old bed, pulling the covers over her. They were old and thin. She let out a sob, finally breaking after trying to stay together for so long. She was trembling. Her magical Chinese Fireball tattoo sat on her right shoulder blade, tears streaming down its face. It was charmed to match her mood and in that moment it was the most accurate it has ever been.
She sobbed into her pillow. The tears started flowing freely. She remained in that position for the next four hours, unable to sleep and unable to stop shaking. She felt pathetic, crying over a guy. A guy she loved more than anything else on this planet. He just didn't know it.
Charlie padded down the stairs. He was wrong, he read up on the poison and he realized his mistake. He opened the door of Beatrice's old room and what he saw made his heart ache.
The room was a mess, with a twin sized bed, an old broken chair and an unstable desk. Almost all of the things in the tiny room was broken. Everything except a picture frame. It was a picture of Charlie and Beatrice, playing a muggle game called Uno. He could hear the careless laughter from the photo.
She was turned away from him, staring at a wall. She was in an old sports bra and some shorts. Her whole body was trembling while she sobbed. Her tattoo remained in full view on her back and Charlie had to admit that he had never seen a dragon cry before now, but he was certain that he never wanted to see it again. He felt guilt, regret and sadness all at once.
He walked towards her shaking figure and he scooped her up in his arms.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done this to you."
She refused to face him, but her dragon had moved up onto her collarbones, she roared at him with tears in her eyes. Charlie sighed. He deserved that. He carried her back up the stairs towards the Rose bedroom. He set her down on the bed and pulled the covers over her. He tried to wrap his arms around her, but she moved away.
Her heartbeat was unstable and her breathing never evened out like he had hoped. She was awake the entire time, while he slept peacefully. In all honesty, she would rather be back in her old room, with the cheerful laughter from the picture and the mournful wailing of her dragon.
It felt like he brought her back just so she can watch how he sleeps soundly, to show her what she can't have. She wanted to hate him. Despise him for what he did, but that seemed impossible. She couldn't hate him. Not even if she tried.
The next morning Charlie woke up to an empty bed. He walked down stairs to find Beatrice with Bill and Fleur in the kitchen. Fleur was always up early and she probably dragged Bill with her.
Beatrice looked terrible, like she had walked straight out of a lifetime in Azkaban. Bill made eye contact with him first and he immediately knew that she had told them.
"Charles, we need to talk."
Bill's tone was sharp as he approached Charlie before dragging him right back up the stairs. Beatrice couldn't even turned to look at him.
"Beatrice, I'm sorry..."
At that she let out a sob, letting Fleur wrap her up in a hug. She saw so much of herself in Charlie, it was painful. His tone of voice was exactly the same as hers last night, saying the exact same words. Both of them using those two words to summarize everything they want to say.
Damn him and his familiar mannerisms.
Charlie got quite a lecture from both Bill and Fleur. But they weren't nearly as bad as the talking-to Ginny gave him. She had known Beatrice the longest and she was very quick to avenge her friend.
That night Beatrice had gone back to her old bedroom, not wanting to intrude. When Charlie realized this, he went and carried her back up again. She had nothing to say, although the dragon was too tired to roar, instead letting out a sad grumble.
He put her on the bed in the Rose bedroom and wrapped his arms around her. She tried moving away, but he held on to her. He pulled her closer to his chest. She was frustrated with his behavior.
"Why? Why are you keeping me here?"
She was on the verge of breaking down again.
"Because, if I don't you are going to run away. You are going to abandon me and I won't let that happen."
"Why not, why don't you let me leave?"
"Because I don't want to lose you. I'm sorry, I was wrong, but I refuse to have one of my mistakes cost you your happiness."
"That's a bold assumption to make."
"You know what, fine, I am selfish. I am keeping you here, so I can have you still. I am keeping you here because I can't live without you. I try to keep your best interests first but I can't. Not if that means you are going to leave me."
He gripped Beatrice tighter than ever before, not wanting to give her any chance of getting away. He was selfish, he knew that. But he couldn’t stop.
She squirmed for a few seconds, before she went limp in his arms, breaking down right there. He sat up, pulling her into is lap as she sobbed. She cried into his shirt, gripping the thin fabric with both hands. She felt like a child again, unable to control her emotions.
He held her as tears streamed down her face. He rubbed her back with one hand. The other going around her waist. As much as she hated to admit it, she felt safe in his arms. She found warmth in his embrace even though she felt cold and distant. He smelled like a bonfire, with Butterbeer and marshmallows.
After a while her sobs turned into hiccups, that eventually disintegrated into normal even breathing. For the first time in 48 hours, she was asleep. He lay her back down ontop of him, too scared to wake her up. He began mumbling into her hair.
"Beatrice Black, I love you. I love you so much. More than you could ever imagine. And I will not let anything like this happen ever again. I'm sorry for everything, I just hope that one day, you will consider forgiving me."
He let out a humorless laugh.
"Because I wouldn't."
