He always has this huge grin when he comes home, his kids jumping in his arms as he walks into the kitchen and sees you making dinner for the family and he's so in awe when he sees your kids help you make dinner. He buys them all little motorcycles with matching helmets, obviously safe for the mids, little mini bikes so he can ride around with them. He is definitely a family man and would love a partner like this.

Being Misty Quigley's Girlfriend Headcanons (Pre-Crash) [Part 2]

A/N: More love for one of my favorite crazy girls 🥰🫶

On your first date with her, she spends weeks planning everything prior in detail to the point that she practically recites a script when the day arrives. Misty is just full of nerves and adorably awkward—always checking if you’re comfortable, if you like the food, or if she’s being too much. Also, she probably researched first-date advice and tried a few “tips” out before the said day just to make sure it works out.

You can bet this girl read every romance advice column she can get her hands on, practicing different compliments she's read to her mirror so it comes off as natural when she says it to you. She gets a little flustered when she actually does try them on you, and sometimes ends up saying something weirdly formal instead. No matter how it comes off, she'll always mean it very genuinely with all her heart.

If you're really into something—music, books, etc. Misty will dedicate herself to learning as much as she can about it. This girl will binge your favorite show or read a book you like, even if it isn't her thing. She'll research your favorites and might even make these little things like fun facts about [insert whatever]. She'll do these and so on, just to show you how much she wants you.

She tells everyone about you, maybe a bit too much. Misty does not seem to shut up about you. It's gotten to the point that almost everyone—the yellowjackets, her parents, and even her teachers all know something about you. Her amazing girlfriend. She'll have a conversation with someone and whether the topic relates or involves you, you are ALWAYS one way or another brought up in it.

Misty loves to keep memories of you both, she'll save these little souvenirs from every outing you guys have together. It doesn't matter if it's a crumpled movie ticket, a goofy polaroid, or anything similar. She collects everything. With these stuff, she's a bit of a scrapbooker. She spends a lot of hours just arranging these things into a "relationship album" for you guys to look back on.

Misty being Misty uncannily remembers all your little preferences—how you like your coffee (if you drink that), your favorite snack, that one song you mentioned you liked. She knows ALMOST everything when it comes to you. She surprises you by randomly bringing these things to you, and if you comment on it, she'll say "oh, I just know" with a small smile as if it's second nature to remember that of you.

While her being absolutely attentive to you is sweet and all, it gets a bit out of hand at times. Like, if you just casually mention liking a certain color or fashion style, she'll be trying it out whether it looks good on her or not. And depending on how much you pay attention to her back, you may or may not notice it immediately. And when you do, you tell her you love her just the way she is.

Since Misty doesn't have that many friends, being with you equals you as her safe haven. You're one of the first people to really actually get to know her, and she treasures every moment with you—big or small. She practically can't believe she got to be with you and got to experience this "romance" she's only heard people talk about. She's so happy you love her. You mean E V E R Y T H I N G to her.

Okay, now she might be drifting a bit too far away from the present, but she's already imagined a future for you guys! There's not much really, just you two living in this house you guys saved money for and bought together. You guys might have a pet, a cat or a dog. Just one or two, maybe. It's nothing major, but it certainly is a nice future... Before the crash, that is.

sally park: a missed opportunity

this is probably going to rot in drafts for a WHILE but i needed to scream into the void about this so let me rant to YOU (yes, you) about how ptj fucked up sally park's writing and purpose in the story so much that she is now just a bundle of missed opportunities. the same could also be said about other characters like crystal choi, luah lim, etc. but i just reread hunt for hostel and i have a lot of insane thoughts that need to be screamed about.

as a character who was the center of attention during her introduction arc, she has been reduced to simply an eli enabler and warren's love interest, who gets about 3 panels to really shine, and then is demoted back into window dressing.

warning: mild eli hate ahead but i do NOT hate eli, i just hate ptj for making everything hostel related eli-centric, when sally is arguably just as important.

so. lets start at the beginning.

from the very beginning, the eli jang arc was told from sally's perspective especially based off the narration, and her character during the majority of the eli jang arc BANGED. initially introduced as a classic demure, feminine savior figure for bad boy warren in the first chapter of the eli jang arc, it's then shown that she isn't as naive or one-dimensional as she may seem.

in fact, shes shown to be fiercely independent and self-sufficient, learning to live by herself and deal with her own problems without anyone helping her, while simultaneously grappling with her grandmother blaming her over her dad's death (side note this plotline, which could've added so much depth to her story was NEVER picked up again)

on my first read of the eli jang arc, this sequence actually punched me in the gut and sally became an instant fav

but i digress. continuing back to the main point, sally was a tremendously well written character (or as good as we're gonna' get when it comes to female characters by ptj) in the eli jang arc, whether it be her narration (scenes like "sometimes i think if i hadn't introduced them to eli back then, our story wouldn't have been such a tragedy"), or her actual actions in the story.

she was integral to the story. in fact, i would say that she was MORE central to the heart and soul of hostel than eli jang was (at first, before she got butchered by ptj and forgotten about) because it was HER that was providing for her family with HER own money, until eli stepped in months later. she was the one that everyone wanted to assist and protect because she was who was holding everyone together through her sacrifice and love.

LOOK AT HER!!! just LOOK AT HER!!! she is so noble and tragic and she does everything for the sake of her family, including starving herself! she is so tremendously loving and sacrifices so much for her family, which is why everyone unites around her to help her!

in fact, the reason warren, eli, and others devolve into crime and stealing is to help her get more money for food, as they can't bear to see her starve herself. while this does come off a little bit white knight-ey (oh a big strong man has to save the sweet damsel), the point is that she has this kind of power over the people around her through her genuine leadership skills

not only that, but she was actually also the one who came up with the idea of using their old building to provide for more homeless kids, showing that she really should be credited with the creation and management of the runaway fams, far more than she is in the story.

even though, immediately after, its shown that she didn't think enough about the financials of the situation, and eli gets his time to shine by coming up with the point organization stuff, the way its framed portrays both sally's idea and eli's financial proposal of the financial system as equally important things. this scene makes me think that, at the very least, sally and eli's importance should be on equal footing: sally is the passion, the heart, the core, while eli is the figurehead, the brains, the fighter.

in summary, sally was the person who united the original hostel A through her leadership, kindness, and sacrifice, and had so much soft power over everyone that the entirety of her family would do anything to help her. she also came up with the idea of helping runaway families, demonstrating her kindness and generosity.

not only that, she was still actively managing the runaway families and making money while eli fucked off to j high to become a barber, allowing her to get closer to the runaway fams and inspire them with her leadership.

with all that said, it's clear that sally should be a three-dimensional girlboss who uses her charisma and good personality to gain soft power and lead the people around her as one of the figureheads and hearts of the hostel crew, right?

well. no.

after the eli jang arc, she becomes close to useless.

i dont remember much of 2A outside of the big deal stuff, but what i do remember is that sally does nothing, wins a singular rock-papers-scissors game, and then becomes a damsel in distress again that warren needs to save and gets to show off his cool fighting skills in the process. (this may not be accurate, feel free to correct me if im wrong)

but my BIGGEST gripe is the hunt for hostel arc. the hunt for hostel arc was very much centered around eli, warren, and even jerry, more than it was sally, despite how much of an integral role she played in the formation of hostel. during the entire arc, she does basically nothing but watch on the sidelines

... and then ptj pulls this on us. they all unite because they admire and love eli jang so much? only eli jang? not warren chae, gangdong's mighty? not max and derek, the two uncles? not sally park, THE big mama?

i cannot emphasize how ironic it is that sally, the big mama, quite literally gave birth to the idea of the runaway fams, and yet nobody mentions her again afterwards, and only ever eli jang. like... what did eli ever do for you? give you a shitty haircut?

and when warren and eli leave, i FINALLY thought that ptj was going to give sally a moment to shine and show her by herself again, like she was all that time ago, and how she figures out how to save her family despite being unable to fight...

but no. we get this sick ass panel and then she is completely irrelevant again

the next example of the sally erasure comes when eugene is talking to eli about him joining workers. he tries to convince eli that this is the ONLY thing that he can do to protect his family, and that, now that he's here and so is warren, hostel is weak and helpless because the MEN that get everything done aren't there anymore and "oh no, what can sally park and the girls do?"

like fym "what can they do"?! sally is a LEADER and she has POWER and INFLUENCE (or at least, she should). but no, the narrative doesn't prove him wrong, and sally does next to nothing in the narrative.

i cannot emphasize how much more of a leader figure she is than eli btw. she took all the runaway kids under her wing. it was her idea to build an organization for these kids in the first place. she was the one singlehandedly raising money for all 7 high schoolers in her family before eli stepped in. she STARVED HERSELF and CUT HER OWN FINGERS trying to make food for her family. she was THE big mama. EVERYONE wanted to protect her and respect and love her. and yet ELI is the main character of hostel that is oh so important and that everyone will unite under????

"oh no without you how will anything get done, eli jang?" stfu

and even when she does do things, later on, it's really more of an excuse for vasco to shine. while she was the one to get heather's mom to forgive eli, as well as the one that got vasco to save eli in the first place, 1) her major role in this part of the story is entirely sidelined and given no narrative weight outside of being the reason that eli's healing arc can happen and 2) the only agency we've ever seen her having since hostel arc is in relation to eli. she only ever acts on her own to save eli. she PROBABLY did stuff outside of that to help hostel, but that is entirely offscreen and not focused on at all, so her leadership and agency when it comes to things outside of a MAN are ignored.

in chapter 478, i thought that she was once again given a brief moment to shine when she looked sad and all wondering what they would do once they didn't have the income workers supplied them with, and i was hoping that she'd get a chance to creatively problem solve around it to show a good character moment for her and the rest of hostel... but who am i kidding this is ptj of course he wouldnt do that. nah, it was just a scene so that vasco could introduce jay again and be like "hey guys jay is actually relevant to the story and he's a nice person, just so you guys dont forget that he's still there! and also ignore this deus ex machina ass solution to a conflict that could've been a really interesting character study!!"

so yeah. that's basically it. in conclusion, i think sally park is a HUGE missed opportunity for ptj to finally write a good female character. kind, compassionate, charismatic, smart, sally's got it all. however, just because she is a soft character doesn't mean that she's a pushover and she held tremendous power and authority because of everything she did for her family. however, ptj decides to do nothing with her and turn her into an eli enabler and a warren love interest instead, ignoring her leadership skills and influence.

and once again, no hate to eli, warren, jerry, jay, or any of the other character i just shat on to make a point!! i like all of them, but i just think that sally's character assassination to allow them to shine was an infuriating decision on ptj's part

(Noise): He thinks The Noise is sort of annoying. However, he suspects that The Noise is heavily autistic (and he's right), so he's patient and kind towards him. He does think The Noise goes a bit too far with his antics against Peppino sometimes.

(Noise): He envies The Noise's wealth and fame. How does he get so much money and popularity by being an annoying spoiled brat?

(Noisette): He thinks she's weird and annoying. He doesn't really like her. He's tried to scam her before, but she was somehow too stupid to fall for it.

(Noise): He doesn't like The Noise. Several times has Pepperman's art been vandalized by him. The Noise has also mixed colors into all of his white paints. He thinks The Noise is annoying, but he also sort of envies him for his fame and money.

(Noisette): He thinks she's ignorant. While he doesn't think she's necessarily dumb, he thinks she's a bit closed-minded. He thinks the rabbit mask thing is totally cliche and unoriginal.

The Vigilante:

(Noise): He doesn't like The Noise too much. He thinks he's very obnoxious and loud. He also doesn't like the fact that he's a felon. However, he thinks The Noise is very clever.

(Noisette): He adores Noisette and sees her almost as family. (I hc they have a niece/uncle relationship.) The two are best friends and chat a lot. She tells him secrets about The Noise that he'd rather not hear... That's how he found out about Noise's criminal history.

The Noise: As much as he denies it, he loves Noisette with all of his heart. She's the only woman that will deal with his antics and put him in his place when he's being an asshole. He just gets embarrassed talking about love. Although, he does wish she wouldn't go spewing out his secrets to everybody.

Noisette: She loves her Noisey-poo! She doesn't care about the fame or money or even how he looks. He's a completely different person around her. She doesn't mind it when he acts all silly. However, she won't hesitate to cuss him out or smack him when he gets nasty with her.

Fake Peppino:

(Noise): He thinks The Noise is mean and scary! He doesn't quite understand that The Noise isn't human.

(Noisette): He likes Noisette! She is nice to him and feeds him quite often. She gives him hugs and pets and cheek rubs. She is a friend.

Pizzahead:

(Noise): He is a bit jealous of The Noise for his fame and wealth. He thinks The Noise can be a giant douche at times, but regardless, he's a pretty funny guy! He hates how much Noise makes him laugh.

(Noisette): He adores Noisette. He thinks she's super sweet. He finds her lack of brains kind of funny. She also manages to make him laugh a lot.

Pillar John:

(Noise): He thinks The Noise is a bit annoying. From the few encounters they've had, Noise has been overbearing and strange. He does suspect something isn't right with him mentally, so he tries not to judge him too harshly.

(Noisette): He thinks she's a little dumb. She's nice, but she can be overwhelming. She offered him coffee before while he was trapped in the fifth floor. When he said he'd like it and tried to explain why he couldn't, she thought she could solve the problem by throwing it at him.

Gerome:

(Noise): He think The Noise is completely annoying and narcissistic. He gets frustrated whenever Noise throws tantrums as he's the one always cleaning it up.

(Noisette): He thinks she's a bit dumb, but overall, she's very sweet. He feels sorry that she has to deal with her cafe being in The Slum.

That is a really neat idea!!! I don't think Mephone is able to change contestant's personalities after he's made them, but for the sake of this interesting au, let's say he can!! Branch isn't fixed, butterfly effect, someone else is the manipulator.

Honestly, Pickle and Taco swapping who the dumb one vs the manipulator is is a really really interesting idea, omga!!!!! Taco wins season 1 fairly, but with her facade-that-isn't-a-facade-here's lacking intelligence, Pickle ends up more or less taking control over the finances. Honestly, s1 Taco would probably want a lemon orchard and more or less be happy with that, but it would still be wrong for Pickle to be using the money for his own wants when it really belongs to her. I can see this getting really angsty with all the other contestants coming to realize Pickle is spending more and more of Taco's money while spending less and less time with her. They try to be more gentle about it at first telling him not to buy too much with her money and to go hang out with her, but they'd get more firm, especially when Taco starts getting upset that he's more or less ignoring her now that she's served her purpose to him. They end up taking away his access to her money, and he lashes out at them like Taco does in the s1 finale, and then disappears off into the woods like Taco did as well. Sweet little Taco would be heartbroken actually. She doesn't understand what happened enough to understand that it isn't her fault, but she does understand how angry Pickle was and how scornfully he was talking to and about her. She understands that he hates her but not why, and that it wasn't anything she did. I can imagine her trying to make him feel better when he's lashing out at everyone, trying to give him a lemon or a nuzzle (armless hug; either she really doesn't have arms or truly just doesn't use them often) and him pushing her away and hard enough to make her fall over, which ends up being the last straw for him getting kicked out. Augh, and she'd be sobbing too, because her best friend Pickle was so so mad and now he's gone and she doesn't know what she did. I think it would be interesting for Knife to take on a parallel role here to the one he did for Pickle too. When Pickle is gone, he ends up taking over as Taco's caretaker/best friend. Knife the protector, yeah? Genuine or not, Pickle did look after her to keep her from unknowingly getting into trouble, and she still needs someone looking after her. I mean, I think the entire cast would be pitching in more to make sure she's okay after what happened, but I see characters like Knife, OJ, Paper, and the lot really making sure to take care of her. I love this AU. I have adopted it.

YOUR ASK ALSO HAS ANOTHER PART I DID NOT FORGET. OJ taking on the villain role!!!!!! Easy to imagine, honestly. Listen, every time I rewatch Double Digit Desert, I'm low key on Bomb's side, because OJ was being kind of a cunt in that episode. I love OJ don't get me wrong, he was being a little bitch tho. I can see him manipulating Bomb in the beginning, and then when Bomb betrays him he moves on to manipulating Paper, and I suppose still wins the season after that. Could even still make the hotel and keep stringing Paper along if he likes the feeling of power over the others well enough. Everyone gets quite tired of him, but they all live in his hotel so there's not much to be done.

Rosetta McBest

Absolutely terrible person (derogatory). Just the worst (affectionate). Best of my designs. One of the villains and a very real one at that (I really love making WK villains who are stand-ins for real issues). Rosetta here is an influencer who loves taking pictures with animals and posting them on social media.

Rosetta acts sweet and bubbly on the outside, saying that she "totally looooves animals," but is secretly very self-absorbed and egocentric, not actually caring about animals as much as she pretends to. She sees everything and everyone as potential content and a way to make money. Peak slightly annoying influencer, but not even in an overly stereotypical way. More based on actual problematic influencers and their legitimately toxic and messed up behavior. The ones who act like they care and think they are so charming and silly and likable when it typically comes across as annoying.

She can occasionally come across as charming, especially when she is being a bit more genuine due to excitement. During these moments, she acts very energetic and legitimately bubbly in a authentic way that doesn't come across as performative. She is also very flamboyant. Not quite as much as Donita, but more in a "how to make an entrance/hype something up kind of way. She is a diva of sorts at the end of the day, and it shows in a way that can be silly and goofy. However, when it comes to episodes where she is the main villain, Rosetta is usually very infuriating due to her actions and how much long-term issues they can cause.

She is peak wildlife tourist. If she watched "Tiger King", she would immediately go to a cub petting zoo and take five million pics with it knowing damn well about the truth behind the industry. Rosetta doesn't care. She occasionally engages in performative activism, saying she cares about nature, but then actively and knowingly engaging in harmful practices solely for her own entertainment. Because to her, everything is for her own entertainment. She acts like the world evolves around her, and not even in an unaware way, but in a way that is almost malicious, as though she doesn't even think of the needs of others.

I think her debut episode would be about her trying to steal a coatis to keep it as a pet, while making it extremely obvious she doesn't know anything about them and isn't qualified. She might even try to buy from the illegal pet trade.

At first, the bros may think she actually does care, but by the end of her first episode, they realize that she legit does not care in the slightest. She then becomes one of the antagonists of the series, though she doesn't appear super often. But when she does, she tends to cause a lot of problems, sometimes without even fully realizing it, but in the most obnoxious way ever.

Things she does:

Try to collect animals she has no idea how to care for just because she thought they looked cute and wanted the attention

Gets a bunch of Burmese python, gets tired of them after a short period, and decides to dump them in the Florida everglades (learned about this issue from fishinggarrett)

Might literally go to a cub petting zoo or something similar

Occasionally appears in episodes with Donita to buy clothes from her and whatnot

Disrupts fragile ecosystems by trespassing entering previously undisturbed habitats. All for the sake of some selfies so she can get likes. Honestly probably does stuff like that a lot (trespassing so she can take selfies in places she shouldn't go, thus disturbing the wildlife)

You know as a former member of Vivziepop's cult and yes its a cult not a fandom anymore I am disgusted by a majority of the people in it.

Like someone on the subreddit brought up it being kinda tasteless or fucked that they sold sexy Stella merch in bdsm gear when she's abused Stolas physically. The post was deleted quickly and judging by my experiences in the fandom people were stanning Viv or harassing OP and that has got me thinking.

Why is Stella in bdsm gear? Like Stolas and Blitzo are canonically into it yet you give the abuser that...

I also find it fucked that Vivziepop and crew are attempting to tackle an issue as serious as domestic abuse and do it so poorly by writing Stolas and Stella as bickering children next we see them. Then the staff has the utter gawl to sell merch in general of Stella and the fans buying it up.

Like I understand autograph signings slightly but that's the only merch Stella should have.

Vivziepop's cult loves to claim that they utterly depise Stella and deserves to suffer because she's an abuser so how dare people want nuance or not just a generically evil cartoon villain but the moment she is drawn in a sexy way they start throwing money at that.

I think a lot of fandoms, especially nowadays, have a lot of genuinely bad people who really need help/therapy but see nothing wrong in what they do or just keep doing that, though they know it ain't okay. That's so frustrating when you can't feel comfortable even in an Internet community. But Viv's "fandom"(I mean exactly these two shows, although Zoophobia also had...... not very pleasant people) is surely something... Where'd you find so many blatantly oblivious and blind brown nosers which keep pretending everything's good when there's already tons of red flags from Vivienne? Yeah, that's a rare case. I don't wanna interact with this fandom or even talk about it, tbh. I still watch the show cuz it's fun to see how it manages to be worse with every episode, though sometimes I don't make reviews as many other people do it faster and better and I just have nothing to say(I need to take my jaw from the floor). Regarding Stella – well, I don't know on what principles Viv or her team makes merch with the characters, but aren't all characters being sexualized anyway? They even have merch with Chaz, a guy who, like, died in the same episode. And they keep doing new merch with this jerk. And that's obviously because there are people who simp for him. I don't know if Stella's merch may be an insult to those who practice BDSM, I'm not into it, tbh, and I don't take these things seriously, but I find this just a bland sexualisation. Well, it's "sexy merch", but yeah, Stella's all character is based on being a mean aggressive yelling bitch, and this thing....... it must be a character trait, I guess? Again, I don't take all of this seriously, this sexy merch was made to tease and please the simping fans, but there's certainly a part of irony in it. Like, people in this fandom hate Stella so much that they shit on people who simply want her to be a more complex character, and they're........ still buying all this stuff. They........ enjoy Stella being "hot dommy mommy" and still keep hating her? Ngl, only Viv's fanbase can do that, lol. I've seen this fandom from the start and I can say that many people here always had some weird obsession with Valentino. I even remember some person passive aggressively telling me that "he's just very charismatic and it's your problems if you can't see it". When there were, like........ A musical clip and a comic where he just was being an abusive jerk. Yeah, that's a really weird fascination. Also, doesn't one of HH's crew, who is an animator or a director(don't remember correctly), has a rape fetish and has drawn an animatic on their beloved ship Angel/Val? Hella ironic that a show about serious portrayal of trauma and abuse has a crew member(or members) which legit....... find it hot or cute. That's sick af but I guess Viv doesn't care who she hires. Oh, that's definitely not a pit I would like to fall in. I'm not sure there's any hope on Hazbin portraying trauma or mental illnesses properly, but I'll still watch it anyway. Okay, I get Hattori's reasoning is spot on, but how conceited is it that Shinichi has never bothered to actually ask Ran how she is while he's speaking to her. "Oh he's probably heard as Conan!" There will be stuff Ran would tell her best friend and not a little kid but that has never crossed his mind and I'm supposed to believe he cares about her <.<

Hattori I love you but why did you think giving alcohol to a child was a good idea. Don't let this boy babysit children, you'll come back home to them drunk off their asses and Hattori claiming he just gave them some medicine.

The transformation making those going through it feel like they're about to die is something not addressed as much in canon as it really should be. And I mean, it's no wonder it does because you're body is literally doing an impossible transformation. I really love when fics make him have permanent side-effects from it (one of my favourites based on how often he gets sick in canon is having a weaker immune system). I love the Shinichi whump.

Shinichi, why do you have to be so cool? No wonder Hattori developed a crush on him after meeting him.

And back to the dramatics. He really does take after his mother.

Okay, why does Ran jump to the worst views of Shinichi? Again, she is supposed to be his friend, why does she assume he would mock her by hiding from her? Do these two actually like one another? I am genuinely asking.

I love how Hattori can see Shinichi is not okay and just lets hims walk away anyway.

Shinichi could give Kaito a run for his money with that disappearance trick. Also Shinichi would definitely have bruises from falling down the stairs.

My least fav is obviously Vace. I don't think I need to elaborate but to make it clear l, I haven't ever tried to befriend him so I don't know much about him other than his obsession with killing things, being abusive and a bully.

Next I'll have to put Nomi Nomi not because I don't like them but simply because I've never went out of my way to befriend them so I don't really have an opinion.

Cal was my best friend in my first play through so it hurts me to put him so low but he deserves it. Listen mate I love animals as much as the average gal but you're doing too much. The victim blaming as well?? I'm sorry that I was born on a spaceship set to colonize an alien planet, what did you want me to do? Swim through space and go back to earth? Also your girlfriend's dad died a horrid death and that's still all you have to say? Pacifism isn't a good look on an environment like this one.

Rex is a great dude, there's nothing I dislike about him, he's just simply not as interesting as the others.

Tammy is also kind of on the same boat. I did have a lot of hearts with her on my second play through and helping her be more confident was a very enjoyable journey, she is obviously very kind and empathetic and that makes her incredibly likable. I wish she had some flaws to make a bit more realistic.

This is where things get tough because all the next characters are kinda close but Nem will have to take this one. I romanced her in my most recent play through and she really is just the cutest... until Kom dies and she adopts the whole Helio package. She did become slightly annoying even though I understand her trauma. It's good that you can help her grow out of it, that gives her bonus points. A fun character with some nice character development.

And here comes everyone's fav boy Dys. It took a lot of trying to befriend him, he made it very hard for me and I liked that. I liked how they made him weird and antisocial, he wasn't the misunderstood boy that no one likes but rather it's actually the opposite. His relationship with Tang is so beautifully complex I love every part of it although I still haven't gotten them to reconcile (that damn bar will be the death of me). I would have put him much lower if it wasn't for the exploration buddies relationship that he had with Sol because the most unlikable thing about him (that I honestly never understood) is his obsession with the gardeners. Maybe it's my lack of understanding or the fact that I never really went down that road (making him a gardener/befriending Sym) because it creeps me out but I just don't like his views on the subject. And also I hate his relationship with Sym, nothing cute about a 100+ yo alien praying on a 16 yo boy.

Marz is a character that I thought I was going to hate straight from my first play through. She seemed like the typical mean girl character, who's very pretty has a lot of money is obsessed with clothes and stuff and also bullies every one just because but she's not exactly like that. Sure she has kudos and status and loves her fashion but she has genuinely kind intentions behind her "bullying". She doesn't understand how words can hurt because due to her augument they can't hurt her, she thinks she's helping Dys fit in with her comments and she doesn't want him to be lonely. She's naturally a very commanding person and a true leader but she isn't looking for mindless sheep, she wants you to have self respect and a backbone and I love her for that. Also bonus points to our girl for helping us overthrow the government. I have to say though, all the above doesn't excuse the fact that she can be seriously mean sometimes, but we love her regardless.

My favourite girl, my sweet baby Tangent, who's gone through so much but no matter what you do she doesn't really get a happy ending. I had my eye on her the moment I saw her (her child sprite reminded me of Ino from Naruto that's why) and she was my first romance. Obviously that didn't end well cause my first ending turned out to be tangent's cure (I thought I was just helping my gf bro) and now I'm scared to even talk to her thinking I'll trigger it again but I love her non the less. She's such a complex character I could talk about her for days (special thanks to the person with the multiple tangent discussion posts) her relationship with Dys, the obviously toxic and abusive relationship with Instance, her importance to a whole colony at such a young age, the fact that she's held to adult standards which results in self harming habits and her loneliness, her struggle with mental illness and the death of her mother. I'm writing everything down in a synopsis pretty much because if I start I won't stop. I also love how this abusive relationship was handled compared to Nem and Vace. No matter what you say she won't see how bad Instance is for her and the product of all this abuse is ultimately horrible for her. It adds a realism that hurts to death but is necessary. I also adore her character because it gives us a reminder that not everyone gets a happy ending in life, sometimes the things people go through never really leave them, although admittedly I would kill to see my baby happy, she deserves it.

I write in English! I have for many years lol it helps internalize things better but I do remember translating things at first (I knew like... 0 English at the time lol). Dante isn't exactly shy but he does tend to get a little wordless when he's very embarrassed by MC. He recovers quickly enough so I wouldn't say it wrecks his mind to be flirted with. Instead, the way to probably turn his brain to mush is through art. Dedicating songs, sketches, aligning Dante's existence to that of a muse— worthy of that affection.

Lilith is very sweet and doting her route is pretty much full of repression and forbidden love (Inferno and Succubus lore spoilers, you'll understand when you meet her). Prior to establishing a romantic connection with her, Lilith's brain would melt if MC were to call her out on her attraction toward them.

Honestly, he's known MC since they were very young so it really depends, I think he'd be desensitized at this point lol. In the case that MC is normally very extra, Josh would be pretty much immune to anything they might say— if they're normally more guarded sincere words would break him. Surprises are something he can't handle well.

Villanelle is very sweet and naive, her initial reaction to most affective things MC says or does is to accept it wholeheartedly and return it eagerly. To really really break her would be easy tho lol, flirty MCs would completely shatter her expectations. Villanelle kind of doesn't know how to flirt.

Yeah, no words are getting through to him lol. Victor places no value in them, he needs MC to put their money where their mouth is. Taking care of Victor, small tasks and such, is the best way to startle him. MCs would need to be two steps ahead of Victor. He would be beyond lost, he wouldn't know how to respond to being taken care of.

Aliyah is very calculating and guarded with her true emotions. Even if she's surprised she's going to swallow it all down. I only see one and one thing only completely breaking through her walls and that is MC committing themselves to helping free Aliyah of her shackles.

Honestly, even she admits that would be a terrible decision. But who knows ^^?

Rather than shameless flirting or compliments, Nathan's mind would be blown by genuine and heartfelt words. No sugar-coating it either, just an admission from the heart. He doesn't know how to approach sincerity all that well. Just a very honest “I’m so glad to have met you” would make Nathan's mind get the blue screen of death lol

I don't really see her being all that impressed if MC tried to compliment her in any way lol and she would receive and reciprocate most affective actions naturally. Startling Eden would take effort— taking her by surprise, with her guard low enough that she entertains you. Subverting Eden's views and expectations of MC while she's distracted, for example.

This one was too easy to fill with Himiko, but here's short explanations of all the choices! 💉-·-🔪 Friendly to animals: Himiko loves animals. Finds them cute most of the time, but I think this is pretty much canon despite her like for blood. Physically affectionate: She's clingy, likes to be close to another when she likes them, enough said! Is funny: SHE TRIES at least, it comes naturally to her in certain occasions, specially if she gets sassy. Likes stargazing: She can appreciate a moment of peace for activities of this kind with her partner. She's a romantic, so even if she shows love in her own way, she also appreciates activities like these. Likes sweets: Oh yes, she does, specially after she was probably denied of sweets and treats once her parents started treating her more strictly, leaving the sweets and treats for her younger sisters instead.

Persistent about their dreams: All she wanted was for a world where it was easier to live in. She wanted to be loved. I think when she wants something very much, she's good with trying to get it. She went very far for what she believed in. Checks up on her well-being: Doh, she would! Even if her urges would've made her to want all the blood of a person she loves, she doesn't want them to die, specially with Ochako at the end. She wants her healthy. Spars with her: A bit of adrenaline didn't hurt anyone, and I'm sure Himiko would always love to spar with Ochako of all people. She doesn't want to go out of shape either, just in case. Cooks for/with her: With my headcanons of Himiko lacking attention from her parents since she was very young, I imagined that she actually learnt how to cook stuff for herself, so she would love to cook for Ochako and with her to learn more. Doesn't go easy on her: It's Himiko...she can get unpredictable at times and is pretty direct, so she doesn't always have to go easy on Ochako. Honest: She's all about being honest and not repressing things, so, YEAH. Calls her out on her bad habits: Kind of hand in hand with the checking on her well-being. Even if ironically Himiko has her own bad habits, but she would call out Ochako first before she can be called out on hers. Likes amusement parks: More adrenaline to burn, in a way. Besides, all these things excite Himiko, specially when she didn't have the chance to enjoy places like these too much in her early years. Fights against all odds: Pretty stubborn on her own when she puts her mind to something, I think. Specially after seeing how her last fight against Ochako ended. In my Himiko's case, it also counts that she did what she could to survive after giving her blood to Ochako. Smart: Despite her outside personality she can be very clever. There's a reason why she managed to survive on the streets for a few years on her own, before joining the League of Villains. Never being caught by heroes or the police. Has a nice smile: She started to believe it when Ochako said she has the cutest smile. It's only since then that she's started to smile more genuinely. Likes kids (why it wasn't chosen): Himiko actually has experience with kids because she took care of her younger siblings in the past. HOWEVER, she still has to come to terms with her dislike for younger kids because they remind her of her younger sisters and the fact she was never treated like them. It's complicated. Doesn't mind her being poor: Himiko herself lived on the streets with no money for a few years, so this isn't gonna be a problem with her. She may even give solutions when low on money or when having no money at all because of her survival instincts. Likes outdoor activities: Any excuse to go on a date with Ochako is good. That includes outdoor activities. Himiko usually has a lot of energy to burn. Attentive: She's very sharp for these things, I would say. Very attentive for people she loves, it's in her nature. Ok to be lazy with her: This counts like quality time for Himiko, so she doesn't mind the lazy days either, really. Can put their trust in her: After everything that happened? YEAH, easy one. Himiko can put all her trust in Ochako, the same way she expects Ochako to trust her. Isn't sexist: Himiko hates sexist people, in fact. Would stab if necessary- Expresses their love to her: If there's anything Himiko's good at, it's that she never holds herself back when it comes to show her love for another, so this was an easy one as well! 💉-·-🔪

Sorry that this isn't a starbreaker thing, but one thing I do keep thinking about (and will probably never write) is a fic about what happens in Junior Year from Mazey's perspective. Just because I feel like she'd see so much happening from behind the scenes but there are also so many completely unrelated fires she has to put out, and she doesn't have context for anything, so it's impossible for her to see that there's an evil plot going on.

Also, Jace would try to get on her good side (if for no other reason than she has the ability to fire people now, and Porter gets so many complaints). Mazey's a sweet person, I think she would get along with who Jace pretends to be, and it makes me laugh to think of them as work besties who bond over a shared love of trashy reality TV or something.

So, Mazey Phaedra is a teenager who ran for student president because she thought it'd look good on college applications or whatever, and then she ends up as Acting Principal of Aguefort. Suddenly she has a full-time job on top of being a full-time student. There's a million responsibilities, like making sure all the clerics don't flunk out because they don't have a teacher, and making sure all the teachers who are still there get paid on time, there's probably some legal problems caused by Grix trying to kill a bunch of people at a music festival. And she has to do classroom observations and performance reviews, for all these faculty who are decades older than she is and have more experience than she does and probably don't take too kindly to her critiquing what they're doing. (She's pretty sure that Tiberia Runestaff hates her, at the very least.)

The budget is an absolute mess, and there are line items that are explicitly labeled 'HUSH MONEY' and 'FOR BRIBES', so the school might be breaking more laws than Mazey originally thought. She makes the mistake of opening a drawer in Arthur Aguefort's desk when she's looking for a pen, and some shrieking phantoms burst out and escape through the window. Someone is stealing material components from classrooms and healing potions from the nurse's office, but before she can deal with that, she finds out that a student adventuring party on a quest just caused a diplomatic incident in the Baronies that might destabilize the entire region, and the Council of Chosen is pissed. Jawbone is saying that way more kids are stressed out than normal and maybe the school could use a second counselor, because for the first time since he's been working there, his diary is entirely booked up, he now has a waiting list for kids to talk to him. Which, great idea, she'll just have to see if they can afford to hire someone else. Then there's a member of the Council of Chosen absolutely hounding her about shapeshifters and a girl named Wanda Childa, and Mazey has to argue against some pretty extreme surveillance measures. And then, there's talk of a Rat City under the school and when she mentions getting an exterminator in to deal with that, the druid teacher is all over her case about how the rats aren't hurting anyone. Except. You know. The structural foundation of the school.

But hey, at least she has a Vice Principal to help her with all this stuff. And Jace really does his best to talk her through all of her new responsibilities and explain what's going on, and he's kind and he's patient and he seems to be genuinely remorseful that she has been put in this situation. It really should be his job to do all this stuff, but his contract forbids him from doing it because Aguefort never changed the rules after Kalvaxus died. And Jace seems just as frustrated about that as Mazey is. But he's not frustrated at her, like some of the other teachers are. He doesn't talk down to her like the new cleric teacher does. She is so unbelievably stressed out and overwhelmed, and he seems genuinely understanding, and acts like he genuinely wants to help. So of course she warms up to him.

She still has classes during the day so a lot of her Principal stuff gets done after hours, and Jace ends up staying late to help out more often than not. She finds out that Jace and Porter are together when Porter shows up to give Jace a lift home. And honestly, finding out those two are dating is the most boring revelation that there's been all year.

One evening, while they're going through the stupid number of emails she's getting from the Council of Chosen and everyone else, Jace points out the fact that Mazey does have the authority to change the rules about what Vice Principals can do. She could make it so that he can take some of this stuff off her plate. She could even fully remove the rule that stops Vice Principals from being able to take over as the actual Principal. Which is so tempting. She considers it, she even almost does it, but then she decides that she's an Aguefort student and she's supposed to rise to an occasion, not just give up, so she commits to staying in the job until the year is over. She does hand over a few admin-type tasks, and things get a bit easier.

Every now and again there's a meeting that really can't be done outside of office hours and it clashes with a bard class she really wanted to be in, so she asks Jace to attend it on her behalf. And she realises later that he should have been teaching his own class at that time. When she checks, she finds out that he was teaching a class during that meeting. Somehow he was in two places at once.

She asks him about it and he gets this kind of panicked look on his face before admitting there're a couple of clones of him running around the school, helping him out with stuff. Which. Can he teach her how to make one of those?? That would help so much! He can't, it turns out. He tries but neither of the two spells he mashed together to make it work are bard spells, and she can't seem to map what he's saying onto her own style of magic. Still. She appreciates the fact that he tried.

TL;DR, Mazey has the most hectic, chaotic year of her life, during which time she is fully convinced Jace is the nicest person ever. And then a few months later he tries to kill her.

I love thinking about the small things like... how long did it take for Till to warm up to Isaac? What kind of brother was Dewey to Till as they grew up? I'm not sure how much of their backstories I'll include in the story, since I do prefer the "show not tell" approach, so I'm going to apologize in advance for rambling a little about them in here :3c

Dewey is 7 years older than Till. Their father was a POS who said he "traveled a lot for work" but he was actually just keeping a second family in Japan, his home country (which means Dewey and Till are half Japanese, mostly because AKUGETSU, Till's VA, does a lot of covers of Japanese songs). Dewey practically raised Till himself, and moved out as soon as he was 18; Till was too young to move out, but he spent most of his time after-school at Dewey's house, since their mother was either too overbearing or not present to the point of leaving Till at 12 to make his own food.

Till really disliked Isaac when he and Dewey started hanging out! He was 15, at the height of teenage angst, and he was worried Dewey's new cool friend would make Dewey leave him behind, like a lot of Dewey's exes did. Luckily for him, Isaac actually loves kids, and sat down with Till to help him with school and other things, which also meant Introducing him to Hyuna, who was 18 at the time, and Isaac's childhood friend.

Isaac is actually a firefighter!! He met Dewey at the community center when Dewey was looking for cheap places to buy food, since he used most of his money to buy things for Till, lol. He fell in love at first sight with the tough motorcycle guy who took care of his little brother, and helped Dewey get into a better place in life to confess, which took around 2 years of dancing around one another.

Hyuna actually isn't as close to Till, she's got her own stuff going own, but she's always there if need be, and she was super happy when Till started streaming.
