literally everything about Cat so far :)
Tumblr media
^quick and messy ref sheet, infodump under the cut!!!
Ok SO. Cats backstory is literally that she just Woke up in the blacksite one day, and wandered around a bit until she heard painter's voice a few rooms over and immediately developed a crush on him, thinking it was cute and endearing. So her new quest was to find it, and eventually it did!!! and painter was just happy to have someone to keep it company, so it was cool with it being sort of eccentric and blunt and loud. eventually they got to know each other better and developed more trust, so cat began to scavenge things for it, specifically spare/broken electronics and whatnot, so sebastian could build it a silly robot body ^.^ so it wouldn't be trapped in that room anymore!!! which takes like FOREVER but eventually it all works out :) and then they confessed and it was awesome and theyre dating now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think a lot about the ways Sebastian, P.ai and Cat would Play off of each other.... I find the dynamic I have for them in my head really interesting!! if you all will allow me to be Very Cringe for a moment...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the homestuck quadrants work really well here- P.ai and Cat obviously being matesprites, Sebastian and P.ai having a sort of sibling-like friendship and Cat and Sebastian hating each other but also having a begrudging respect for one-another, with painter acting as a sort of mediator for them at times.
[link to quadrant maker]
Cat thinks Sebastian is fucking mean and Sebastian thinks cat is fucking annoying!! But they also respect each other- Cat admires how Sebastian has had the fortitude and ability to do what needs to be done necessary to survive in the blacksite for so long, and Sebastian admires Cat's persistent kindness (to everyone except him at least) and unshakeable positivity, and is grateful for it keeping Painter company. Nevertheless, sometimes Cat will get annoyed at Sebastian's rudeness/condescending... ness, and push his buttons until he snaps and shoots her or something (SHE CAN REVIVE LIKE THE EXPENDABLES ITS OK. MARY SUE POWERS FTW!!!!).
misc. notes:
~It didn't remember its name when it woke up, so Cat came up with the name Kittycat9876 by itself :)
~I sort of imagine lots of people slept and stuff at the blacksite and it was kind of a black mesa situation for a lot of people, so thats how it gets its hands on fun clothes!! people just sort of Left all their shit down there during the evacuation process.
~i have a playlist themed around it
also. ship chart :)

cw: little plot, roommates/fwb to lovers (ig?), strength kink, oral (fem receiving), slightly toxic (?), jealousy, very possessive jeno, overstimulation
18+ minors do not interact !
"stop fucking moving,"
you gasp out when jeno lands a slap on your clit, unable to help but jolt at the wave of pain and pleasure that shoots through your nerves. your eyes are dazed, but you can still make out his figure between your legs. he readjusts, using his big palms to keep your thighs far apart.
"i-i'm sorry, i'm sorry," you whimper weakly. he doesn't pay any mind to your apology, though, attaching his mouth to your dripping cunt once again.
by now, you knew jeno well enough to know exactly what pushed his buttons. it's exhilarating to test his limits, because more often than not, you'd end up with a few mind-blowing orgasms as your so-called 'punishment' at the end of the night.
so earlier, when your mutual friend jaemin came over, you thought it would be ingenious to settle down on the couch beside him and swing your legs over his lap.
that was your first mistake.
"sit there and take it," jeno growls, "and stay fucking still unless you want me to edge you all night,"
you knew your little plan would bother jeno, and it very much did. it was painfully obvious on his features, from the moment you hiked up your smooth legs and laid them over jaemin's thighs.
jeno's glare was unyielding, and he had his jaw clenched so tight, you worried his teeth might crack.
purely oblivious to your antics and jeno’s sudden sour mood, jaemin didn't think twice about resting his hands on your bare skin—it was an innocent gesture, really. the problem was, when he told a joke that made you laugh, you laughed a little too hard, taking his hand into your own and sliding it up your thigh.
it was bad enough that your cotton shorts were absolutely tiny, but it was worse that they were now tucked high between your legs. by the time you settled jaemin's hand where you wanted it to be, he was no less than a few inches from your core.
that was mistake number two.
"jeno. holy shit, please,"
"you wanna tease me, huh? wanna get me jealous? you like that shit," it doesn't matter that he's mumbling into your folds and his speech is slightly slurred, you catch onto his every word.
he laps you up again and again, alternating between laying his tongue flat on your clit and wrapping his lips around it to suck on it. his hands have slid up your waist, but his elbows keep your legs pinned open.
you're, quite literally, on fire. the wet, slurping sounds of him making out with your pussy are so loud that they're deafening. every groan and growl he grants shoots vibrations through you, and there doesn't seem to be enough oxygen in the room with the way you're rigidly panting.
if he didn't let you come soon, you're pretty sure you'd pass out.
"do you want anything to drink, jae?"
jeno scoffs. since when the fuck did you call jaemin 'jae?'
"some water would be nice, thanks," the boy flashed his smile at you and you stood up, ass practically hanging out of your shorts and right in his face. you couldn't see with your back turned, but jeno caught the way his friend's eyes darted to your pretty, plump cheeks, adam's apple bobbing as he gulped.
you returned with his glass, but just before you handed it to him, you pretended to stumble, and some of the water landed right over his crotch.
was it extremely cliche? sure, but it certainly did the trick.
when you came back with a kitchen towel chanting fake apologies and just about straddled one of his legs, jeno had pretty much had enough.
but then, as if that wasn't nearly enough, you went on to wipe away at jaemin's jeans (right over his slightly swelling bulge) wearing the most infuriatingly innocent look on your face.
"i'm so sorry!"
"it's okay, really," jaemin insisted, subconsciously spreading his knees farther apart so you could continue to dry him off.
"it's really not! jeno," you called, turning and batting your eyes, "can't you lend him one of your pairs?"
the moment your gaze landed on him, you knew you were fucked.
he narrowed his eyes on you, shooting daggers your way. after letting some air out through his nose, he seethed through his tightened teeth a small "sure."
and that? that was mistake number three.
"jeno, baby, i'm so close,"
"no," he warns, "don't you dare fucking come."
"i can't help it, i'm gonna-"
he stops at once, pulling the rug clean from under you and smirking at the way you whine out, body seizing up as your orgasm is stripped away. he watches as your hole pulses incessantly with need, grinding himself into the mattress.
you cry out, "i said i was sorry," but he only tuts, shaking his head.
"you made your bed, now lie in it."
"please," you're breathless and desperate for some sort of release. so much so, that you resort to shamelessly bargaining, "i'll give you head everyday for the next week,"
"not good enough. I can fuck your mouth whenever I want,"
"jeno! i'll- fuck, i don't know," you look around as you rack through your brain, but he doesn't let you finish your thought.
"say you're mine."
"but,” you pause, eyes widening, “i-i'm not,"
jeno sticks his middle finger knuckle deep into you, stilling it there within your tight, fluttering walls, "so then, tell me. you want jaemin's mouth on you instead of mine?"
"no," you answer quickly, honestly.
he pumps into you once, then twice, slowly coaxing the confession out of you, "then say it, baby. say you're mine, that i'm the only one who makes you feel this good,"
"i'm not yours, jeno. we-we've been over this,"
"i guess you don't wanna come then, do you?" he withdraws his digit and sits up on his knees, unbuckling his belt and undoing his pants, "i don't know why you have to be so fucking stubborn all the time,"
you watch as he pulls his length out of his boxers, mouth working to gather saliva to the front of his mouth. he spits, letting it fall onto his swollen, pink tip. it's hard to hide the way you're basically squirming in anticipation, hips practically bucking up and closer to him.
"i'm sorry," you try again, voice sweet and airy. but again, he doesn't answer. he simply lines himself up with your hole and pushes in with a hiss, training his eyes on you to watch the way your jaw goes slack.
"you're a brat," he scolds, "and a tease," his hands press down on your tummy, resting his weight there. when he bottoms out, you grip his wrists, looking down to watch the way he sits on his heels with his dick buried in you.
"i'm sorr-“
"stop fucking saying that," he thrusts into you and you moan out, "you know what i wanna hear," his gradually increasing pace makes you shudder, and your orgasm starts building within you once again, "i'm gonna fuck you so good, you'll never even think about jaemin again,"
jeno rams his hips into you and the sound of your skin slapping against his echoes around your bedroom. you try to cover up how close you're getting, hoping that maybe, just maybe, he won't notice until it's too late.
the only problem is: jeno knows you just as well as you know him, and even more so, he knows your body. he prides himself in that—in catching every little involuntary sign and habit you have.
he knows the way your toes curl when he hits the right spot, deep within your gummy walls, and he knows the way your eyes gloss over to spill hot tears when he chokes you.
your face might be able to conceal your true intentions, but your pussy, gushing and squeezing around him, can not.
“if i feel you come around me, so help me god, i’m gonna stop,”
there isn’t the slightest hint of a bluff behind his sharp tone, and it pisses you off. your cheeks are red hot with frustration, nails digging into his skin, which only makes him squeeze your waist harder. the pleasure is dizzying, his thick length dragging up and down your walls in the most delectable way.
you aren’t gonna last much longer, you know that. he knows that.
“please, jeno. please please please,”
“i’ll let you come, baby. there’s nothing i want more than for you to come on my cock, but i need you to tell me,”
sneakily, you trail your hand between your legs to stimulate your clit, but he’s quick to grasp both of your wrists before you can even savor the feeling, pinning your arms on your chest between your bouncing breasts.
you’re a mere second away from whining out in protest when his own free hand flies to rub circles on your puffy clit, and suddenly, the feeling is far too overwhelming.
forced to blink harshly a few times to regain focus, you look at his features and come to the conclusion that truthfully, jaemin, and no one else for that matter, could ever make you feel like this.
you didn’t want anyone else anyway. your little act was just a ploy to get you to this very point, stuck underneath jeno who manages to make you come so hard each and every time he’s inside you that you wind up seeing stars.
as the cord threatens to snap in your belly, every ounce of you longing for release, you moan out loudly, giving in, “i’m yours! i don’t want anyone else, i promise,”
“yeah?”
“yes,” you insist, “yes, baby. fuck, m’all yours, always yours,”
he leans down to press a kiss to your lips, and suddenly, all the anger he had been airing out fades for a moment. he doesn’t shove his tongue down your throat (although you wouldn’t have minded much), and he doesn’t move his lips in any kind of rush; instead, they move against yours softly, almost feather-like, as if your confession would float away from any suddenness.
and finally, against your lips, he mumbles, “go ahead and come, sweet girl. i’ve got you.”
instantly, your nerves ignite and your breath hitches, your orgasm washing over you at last.
he isn’t far behind, not at all. he had been sensitive ever since he’d started humping the bed with his head stuck between your legs.
he finishes with you, in you, shooting streams of hot white cum inside your clenched walls. the grip he holds on your hand releases as a grunt rumbles in his throat, and you instinctively wrap your arms around him, letting him bury his face into your neck.
when he stills his movements, he lays his weight on top of you, warm, slick skin pressing right up against you, chest to chest.
after a few moments of silence, other than the settling heavy breaths from both of you, you rake your fingers through his hair, muttering timidly by his ear.
“i mean it. i’m yours. i only did all that earlier for—well, for this.”
“all mine?”
you nod, giving him reassurance when he lifts his head to read the expression on your face, “mhm.”
“good. i’m all yours, too.”

virgin pastor's son!leon kennedy x virgin fem!reader
cw: guilt!! p in v, porn watching (has some "intense" sex ig??), needy sex, virginity loss, creampies, thinking about god during sex, humping (dry at one point), oral (f receiving), awkwardness, CHECK-INS!!!, dirty talk, begging, soft ish dom!leon, pet names, mentions of daddy kink but only once, pregnancy mentioned a couple times, Leon's a sweetheart, goofy ending, rough ish treatment only once, confessions!!
wc: 6k...🧍🏻‍♀️
note: barely proof read and I don't know shit about church or anything like that... Lmk if I missed any tags! Also inspired by @moolvn's bot!
@valkyrurr @rigorwhoring @marymustdie @tatumrileyslover @frostywintersnow @queenofstresss haii yall ! :3
It's around 10 in the morning, and you're dressed in a flowy black dress with flower patterns on it. Perfect for church and for this wonderful spring weather. Pulling your hair back into a low ponytail, you get out of your parents car. They have already gone inside the church.
Walking briskly to the entrance, you take note of the flowers that are planted on each side that're beginning to bloom in the glowy sunlight. You make it in time to sit next to your parents before the prayer begins.
You bow your head and begin to listen to it. Soft shuffling is heard, and then there's a warmth on your right side, as if a heater were turned on.
Peaking out of your right eye, you see the pastor's son, Leon. Dressed in dark wash jeans and a white button up. He tilts his head towards you and smiles, mouthing, "Hello."
You smile and shake your head, closing your eyes to listen in on his father recite a prayer, so that the Holy Spirit will help us all understand God's words.
Despite trying to listen to him preach, your mind wanders off to the boy next to you. How his muscles ripple underneath his shirts. (which are always fitting for him. Like how?) And the way his beautiful oceanic eyes shine with purity. Especially when he's preaching about how God is constantly saving and bettering him and how important he truly is in his life. The way his brown hair flows in the wind and how it falls into his eye whenever he looks down.
It's all beautiful to you. You'd rather worship Leon than God. Would it be a sin to worship man instead of the Lord? Probably.
Every time you spoke with Leon, you felt dirty. You were filled with these disgusting, sinful feelings. You were afraid of it rubbing off on him and getting into trouble. Getting called the devil. Shunned and kicked out of the house for having feelings you didn't know how to fucking handle.
After all, you were only human. One with needs, thoughts, feelings, and insatiable cravings for a certain man beside you.
Once the pastor stops the prayer, everything else goes by quickly. You try not to stare at Leon while his father is reading aloud hymns. But it's impossible.
He catches your eye and flashes you a boyish smile. You look away. It's quite embarrassing to have been caught staring at him. You couldn't help it.
A couple hours later, the service ends. You get up and stretch your limbs, ready to leave.
A large hand grabs onto your forearm. Warmth surges through your veins, all the way up to your midsection.
Turning your head, you see that it's Leon.
He lets go of you with a smile. "Are you busy today? I was wondering if you'd like to come over."
Biting your lip, you think for a moment. Looking over at your parents, they give you a nod of approval.
"I'm free. I can come over today."
Both of you walk towards the exit, and he opens the door like a gentleman. You mutter a small "thank you" and step outside.
The cool, light breeze washes over your body like a cold shower. It feels refreshing after being in a stuffy room for more than an hour. Breathing it in and letting it out, you turn towards Leon.
He squints at you with a small smile, motioning to follow him. You oblige, putting your hands on the bottom of your dress and bunching up the fabric so that it doesn't fly up.
By the time you guys make it to his house, your feet are dying in the black flats you're wearing. Rubbed raw on your heels by your pinky and big toes.
You sigh in relief as you enter his house, slipping your shoes off by the door.
The both of you walk into the kitchen and grab a cup of water. Heading upstairs to his room. You try to push down the nerves and excitement bubbling in your guts, but it's so hard.
All you guys ever do is read, listen to the radio, and talk about your guys's jobs. Not all exciting, but laying in his bed and being so close to him is what gets your panties soaked. Maybe you are the devil's spawn. Getting aroused by just being in Leon's vicinity. It's bad. Real bad.
He opens his door and walks in, laying down on his plush queen-sized bed. His hair falls to the sides of his face as he closes his eyes. Breathing in deeply and then exhaling slowly.
You sit on the bed, eyeing him up while his eyes are closed. Noticing the way his veins on his hands are popping out, the small little freckles that paint his face and neck, and the way his lips look so velvety.
Wondering what it would feel like between your legs, your calves, and your neck. You shouldn't be thinking about him like this. It's wrong. But it feels so right.
"So, uh, what are we going to do?" You mutter quietly, tearing your gaze away from the white man beside you.
"I thought that we could just hang out."
"Okay." You scratch your head for a moment, looking at one of the posters on his wall. It's a poster for The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time. It's probably one of the only games his parents approve of.
"Actually, hold on." He sits up slowly and begins to walk towards his desk, fishing something out. He holds up a CD with a grin. "I found this lying around on the bookstore floor. I thought that we could check it out."
Motioning with a nod of his head towards his computer. The thick monitor has the circular silver Dell logo on it at the bottom. Paired with his grey and black mouse.
Popping it into his PC as it whirrs on, you snatch his swiveling chair, making him sit on the uncomfortable wooden chair next to it. Maybe you should get a new best friend, thinking about how you come over so much that he has gotten another chair just in case you guys get on his computer.
You take over and open the Windows Media Player, then double-click on the CD's name. Spice it up in the bedroom! What an odd name.
Turning up the volume on his mini speakers that're alongside his monitor as you wait for the media to load.
A woman and a man appear in the frame, with a messy bed behind them. She's hardly wearing any clothing, only her undergarments and stockings are on her figure. Meanwhile, the man is only dressed in his briefs.
You feel your cheeks burn red hot, swallowing thickly at the video. Afraid of what's going to happen next and afraid of looking at Leon after this surprise of a CD, you continue to look straight ahead.
They don't even introduce themselves, but they say one thing: "Here's how to spice things up in the bedroom. Watch and learn."
Shifting in the cushiony chair, you unconsciously grab onto the armrests.
The next part shows the woman lying down with her legs spread open. The man walks into the frame and sits on the floor next to the end of the bed. Putting his face in between her legs, he kisses her thighs. Trailing up to the bend of her knees and then to her ankles. Repeating the same for her other leg.
Then he begins to leave small bite marks and bruises on her inner thighs. With each of them, her hips jump, and small moans leave her lips.
You squeeze your thighs together, feeling your most sacred parts ache with need. Hoping Leon doesn't notice it.
But he did, just didn't want to point it out and embarrass the both of you even more than you guys already are. He's always staring at you subtly. He's not doing any better on his end, cock filling out in his jeans, begging to be freed from its confinement.
He's just thinking about the kind of noises you'd make if he kissed you there. But he shouldn't think about that. His heart sinks into his stomach, feeling guilty for even having those sorts of thoughts about you from time to time. He wanted to baptize himself again and again until those thoughts clouded him no more.
Leon always had to shower in cold water to make all of the pent-up need go away from his dick. He was afraid to touch himself. Especially to the thought of you. He thought you didn't deserve to be sexualized. How wrong it is to even imagine your lips on his! How soft and plush you'd be against his body.
Feeling like the devil has made its way into both of your bodies. Lust coats both of your frontal lobes, coaxing you into continuing to watch this sinful CD.
The man begins to lick and kiss her panties which makes her noises grow louder and breathier. You hope to God that his parents don't come home anytime soon.
He slips her panties off, and her precious parts are exposed to the camera. Leon makes a small gasping sound, and you snap your head towards him.
"Leon, I.. I don't know if we should watch this. This is... wrong. I feel dirty, Leon." You search his eyes, hoping he'll agree, but he just blinks slowly at you.
"I-I think we should continue. Don't act like this doesn't pique your interest," he mutters back. His eyes are slowly beginning to darken.
Turning your focus on the screen, you hear him noisily slurping away between her thighs. The woman begins to get louder, and her fingers slot through his hair and pull him closer.
She yells out, "I'm cumming!" And soon her legs squeezed shut on his head, her body convulsing and lunging forward to curl in on itself.
"Fuck baby, that was so hot," He comes up and kisses her, grabbing a fistful of her hair and flipping her over onto her stomach. Fumbling with his black briefs, tugging them down and stepping out of them.
You squirm uncomfortably, not sure if you can handle seeing a random man naked. But you gulp down the bile crawling up your throat, mixed in with sickening guilt.
His cock stands up to attention, the tip as red as a tomato. A patch of hair surrounds it, leading down between his legs. He strokes it a couple of times, lolling his head back with a loud groan.
"You ready, slut?" Tapping himself against her folds.
"Y-Yes sir, I'm ready." The woman frantically nods and pushes up on her elbows, watching him sink into her hole.
He grips her hair as soon as he's fully sheathed inside, pulling her towards him. Making her see how they're connected. You bite your lip as you watch this couple go at it for about five minutes. Watching them change positions and get louder and louder with each minute that passes by.
He puts his hand on her throat and slaps her face, breasts, ass, and privates. It all makes you feel fuzzy inside, like you drank too much alcohol. The world is slowly starting to spin, with all thoughts going straight down between your thighs.
But the way he talks to her is what really gets you.
"You like that slut? Fuckin' taking daddy's cock so well, fuck."
"Good girl. I know you can take it."
"Yeah, cum on me, baby, squeeze this fat dick."
"Stupid fucking whore, practically crying for me to creampie this tight little pussy. Isn't that right, baby? God, you know you want my cum stuffed in you."
Her punched-out moans—the way she's clawing at the bed and sometimes at him—is what gets Leon excited. The way she can't even say anything remotely coherent to the man gets him so hard, it fucking hurts. Leon's boxers are practically stuck to his cock.
Leon's hand drifts towards his groin, shifting it so it doesn't press against the zipper of his jeans. He lets out a soft hiss, putting a hand to his mouth as he slumps back against the wooden chair. Leaning onto the left armrest.
Your ears pick up on Leon's strained noise, and you pull your knees up to your chest, breathing heavily between them. It's almost over, you think to yourself. Just a couple more minutes, and we can do something else. Forget about this, and maybe read the Bible to cleanse our minds.
The guy on the screen pulls her up so her back is flushed against his chest, his arm wrapped around her throat to keep her there. Her body is shaking uncontrollably, and he groans deeply, thrusting a couple more times before he comes to a halt.
"Fuck, baby girl, fuck. Take it. Mmhh, I want to get you pregnant so bad. Gonna suck on those fat tits until they're squirting milk into my mouth. I'm gonna love seeing you so swollen and full of my seed. God damn."
That's it. He pulls out of her, and you can vaguely see a white liquid pooling out of her and onto the bed. Her body is so red and bruised. It makes you take a deep breath.
By clicking out of it, you eject the disk and put it on the desk. Quickly shutting down his PC.
Both of you sit there in silence for a little while. Afraid to look at one another.
The air is so thick and hot, as if someone turned a heater on. It would make sense, as both of you have red faces and sweaty palms.
Leon's the first one to clear his throat and shift in his seat. "So, um. What did we watch?"
"For heavens sake, we just watched two people make love, Leon!" You whisper-yell at him, looking directly into his eyes.
He tugs his bottom lip between his teeth and looks to the side, clearly embarrassed. "Right."
You get up and flop onto his bed, face first. The coolness of his sheets is washing over you like an ice pack.
Leon sits next to you, practically burning his gaze on your thighs. Lost in thought of the possibility of doing something like what you both saw just mere moments ago. His hips are bucking upwards, seeking relief. Looking like a damn fool for humping the air.
"Do you think that felt good? Would God like...allow them to seek pleasure like that?" You mumble into the bed.
"I think so, but I don't know if God would be happy if they were to continue..without repenting for their sins and asking for forgiveness."
Yeah, you figured he would respond like that.
"I feel gross, Leon."
"Me too."
You turn on your side and look him up and down slowly. "Are you... aroused?"
Leon gulps and tilts down to meet your gaze with a small nod.
"Me too." Your voice is soft and hushed. Rubbing your thighs together for some relief.
At this point, you don't even care. God this. God that. Those women at the church don't seem to care when they get pregnant. They just pray and repent for their sins and move on with their day like nothing happened. So, God doesn't fucking care if you have intercourse or not. So long as you ask for forgiveness.
His baby blues drop to your lips and back up, licking his own lips. Then, he leans down and boxes you between his firm body and the plush bed.
Your breath catches in your throat as you feel him tremble above you. Heart thumping wildly in your ears, wondering if he can hear it too.
Unconsciously, your legs spread open to accommodate his hips. He shifts his weight nervously, his groin settling on top of yours.
Both of you moan and buck your hips towards one another, wanting more. Becoming insatiable beasts filled only with lust and need. Logic? God? Who needs that when you have horniness on the brain?
Leon groans and buries his face in your neck, panting hotly against your skin as he begins to dry hump you. "Please... It-It hurts. I'm sorry." He stops himself from rambling on, nosing up to your earlobe.
"Leon, it feels really good. Don't—don't stop, please."
His hips stutter, and he lets out a soft whimper, touching his forehead to yours. "May I... may I do what the video showed, to you?"
"Yes," you say as you connect your lips to his, tangling your hands into his thick locks of brown hair. Lightly pulling on it, earning you a groan into your mouth and a thrust against your clothed mound.
Tongues uniting sloppily, moans spewing out, and desire floating in the air. A perfect recipe for disaster.
He sits up on his knees, his eyes blown out, his lips red and glossy with spit. How can he get even prettier? It's not fair. It really isn't. God really gave him the best of the best, honestly.
Leon quickly made work of his button-up, throwing it across the room. His wife beater is the only article of clothing shielding you from seeing his chest and abdomen. What a shame. Though you do see a small silver chain, most likely it is his cross that he always wears, no matter what.
Breathing out of his mouth like his nose is fucking clogged, he hesitantly reaches up to the hem of your dress. "May I?" He whispers, pushing it up to where your shorts stop at your waist.
You nod, your hips lifting up to help him get rid of your dress. It soon hits the floor next to his shirt. Immediately feeling embarrassed, you cover your black bra with your hands.
Leon just stares in awe, his hands slowly trailing up your sides and tracing every contour and bend in your body.
"So beautiful," he mumbles. His thumb feels nice and is also ticklish where the sun doesn't see your body. He carefully removes your arms away from your bosom, kissing the inner parts of your wrists and making eye contact with you for the entirety of this undressing.
You gasp as he kisses down to your clavicles, making sure to take his time mapping out your figure with his lips now. Dipping down to your cleavage, his hands grab ahold of your waist, thumbs rubbing against the wire of your bra.
Leon presses his lips across your entire chest, making your skin buzz and your soul leave your body.
Never in your life would you have imagined Leon doing this to you in his own bed.
He fumbles with pulling your cups down, trying to get rid of the bra. "Can you, um.. take this off?"
You lean forward and unclip it, letting it fall forward into your lap. Getting your arms out of the straps, you are now topless in front of him. Topless in front of someone for the first time ever.
God is getting ready to punish the both of you for sinning, and you know it. Closing your eyes tightly for a few moments as you try to battle with continuing or just leaving Leon to deal with his own battle. That would be just mean. And if you were going to sin, why not together?
Gulping down the acid that clawed its way up your pipes once more, you shake off the guilt as much as you can. Opening your eyes, you see Leon getting closer to your chest. Ready to plant his love on them.
He slowly kisses around your areolas, nosing his way from breast to breast. You let out a nervous giggle as he makes eye contact with you as best he can.
Finally making contact with your nipples, he dips his tongue out and swirls around it. Pulling away with a soft 'pop', you card your fingers through his hair.
"Did that feel good?"
"Yeah, it felt really nice." You give him a shy smile, and he returns it.
Leon does the same to the other one before leaning back and admiring you once more. "You are honestly beautiful."
Covering your face with your arms, you push him with your knee, mumbling an embarrassed "thank you." You still have your manners, even for being the devil's best friend.
Some shuffling, and you peek through your arms and see he's taking off his white wife beater. You bite your lip and shift to your haunches, running your hands up his abdomen. Mesmerized by the way his muscles tense under your fingertips, dipping down to a small patch of hair trailing down beneath his jeans.
Smiling up at him, you wish to return the favor. Putting your lips near the belt of his pants, kissing each of his hip bones softly. His body twitches towards you, and he lets out a broken moan, putting his hands on your shoulders. You decide to be experimental and graze your teeth all the way up his stomach, stopping at his chest. Leon's sounds are going straight down south; you'll be surprised if your shorts aren't completely wet by now too.
"Can I?" You grab ahold of the button on his jeans, toying with it. Asking him for permission to undress him as well. He shakes his head, yes, and you immediately start undoing his fly. With a soft gasp, you see his bulge with a wet spot near the tip, staining his dark blue boxers. You continue to tug his pants down to his thighs so he can do the rest himself.
Leon's pants join the rest of your clothes on the floor. You shimmy your shorts and tights off. Both of you dressed in your undergarments.
You lay back, eyes on his cross necklace, hoping that God will accept you both as you are after this experience. Making love before marriage isn't acceptable, and you've been told your bodies are sacred temples and to not let anyone in or touch you inappropriately. Both of you would be shunned, and God knows what else would happen.
Leon begins to kiss his way down to your ankles and back up between your thighs. Slowly breathing in the scent of you. Pressing a few on your clothed mound, making you squirm, your thighs daring to close on his head. He gently pushes them away and up as he leaves little love bites where your legs connect to your most sacred spot.
Moaning softly, you cover your mouth. Your eyes dare to roll back into your head as you try and watch Leon explore your features before he removes the last article of clothing, keeping him away from seeing you completely bare. He moans into your panties, kitten-licking to taste your arousal. He is doing his best to try and copy the video from earlier.
"Please, Leon.." you whine, your hips pushing against his face, aching for more.
Leon nods his head and nuzzles against you, his nose stimulating you even further. He pulls away to remove your panties to dive back in.
Getting messy with it, he drools onto your folds, pressing open-mouth kisses all over. Paying attention to where you moan and squirm the most.
He dips his tongue down into your pulsating hole and groans, his eyes rolling back at the taste of you. "Tastes s'good, baby," he continues to ravage your poor, sensitive pussy, iron grip, keeping your thighs open.
You squeak and grab ahold of his hair, trying to push him away as you feel an unfamiliar warmth spread throughout your body. "Leon! Wait, wait, I-I—"
Leon moves his mouth up to your little pearl and begins to suck and nibble on it. That's what truly sends you over the edge.
Back bowing, legs shaking, head thrown back with your mouth open in a silent scream. You can't even feel your lower half; pins and needles are crawling down your legs and into your feet. You're sure your legs snapped shut on his head, as you feel him so much more now.
Soon you come back into reality with Leon hovering over you, his dick freed from its prison, poking your thigh. "You okay? Did that feel good, my love?" It's so sweet how he's checking in with you after giving you the best time of your life!
"Y-Yeah," you breathe out heavily, pulling him closer by his silver cross. Toying with it between your fingertips. "That felt amazing. Thank you."
Giving him a soft, sensual kiss. Tasting a bitter liquid on his lips. He chases you as soon as you part, dipping his tongue between your lips and asking for more. You oblige, and his thick muscle is invading your cavern, touching each tooth and swirling around your own tongue. It's turning hot and heavy as he presses his hips into yours, putting weight on you.
He starts humping your leg, his cock pulsating and leaking transparent sticky fluids on your skin. He is moaning and panting into your mouth as he cups your breasts. Slowly pulling away as he takes you in once more, completely infatuated with you, it seems. And it also seems the feeling is reciprocated by yours truly.
"Can I put it in, please?" Leon grabs ahold of his dick and clumsily strokes it over your cunt. His body is stuttering forward, and his grip on your breast is tightening just slightly.
Biting your swollen bottom lip, you nod slowly. Bracing yourself for the intrusion down there. It doesn't even look like he'll fit inside of you; you're afraid he's going to somehow rip you apart down there. But you push down the fear with a shaky sigh.
"Just, um.. let me know if it hurts," he swipes through your folds a few times before sinking into you gradually.
Your body tenses up, and you grab hold of his hand, squeezing it as you let out high pitched breathy whimpers. Squeezing your eyes shut as you try to get used to his size. You can't believe he's taking your virginity.
"W-wait, stop, stop, please... It hurts." You feel tears forming in your eyes, and Leon immediately halts.
Pressing chaste kisses to your eyes and one on your lips, his body bucks forward. With a groan, he murmurs, "God damn. I-I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, baby."
Your pussy flutters around his length, and you breathe in and out, getting used to him. Canting your hips up to get more of him on your terms, you roll your hips with a gasp and say, "Leon."
He takes that as a sign to push more of himself into you, filling you to the brim. Shifting to lay down on his forearms, next to your head, you wrap your legs around his waist. Your nails dig lightly into his back, eliciting a low growl from him as he tries to calm himself down. Too aroused with the feeling of you wrapped around his shaft so tightly that he can't even begin to think properly.
Taking a quick breather so that he doesn't accidentally fall on top of you. Lazily humping against you, stimulating your clitoral area while being so goddamn full of him.
"Baby, god," Leon starts to clumsily push in and out of your sopping heat. Barely even disconnecting himself from you. If anything, he doesn't ever want to pull out of you. You feel too good; it would greatly upset him to stop now.
It feels so intimate as he continues to hold your hand, sloppily kissing you as his dick slowly penetrates you deeper and deeper. Swallowing each other's noises, afraid of getting caught by his parents, is always lingering in the back of your mind.
"Mmnn, you're so tight, it's hard to move." Leon drops his forehead onto yours, staring at you intensely. His eyes are soft yet lustful, carrying love in them, you see.
Maybe you just hope that he loves you because you've loved him all your life. Having known him since you were 4 and he was 6, you couldn't have asked for anyone else to take your virginity but him. Even though he's the pastor's son.
"I love you," you can't help but blurt out. Biting your lip as he speeds up his movements for a few thrusts before going back to his lazy ones.
"You mean it?" He pants heavily into your mouth, feeling you nod your head against his. "I love you too. God, I really, really do. I promise, baby."
With those heartfelt (sort of) confessions, he begins to pick up his pace.
Growling softly when you clench around him or make squeaky noises that can't be discerned by a whimper or a moan. He loves you and all your little noises. The freckles that paint your body. The way your body curves and your stretch marks—everything about you is so gorgeous to him. He wouldn't want to do this with anyone else. He's tried giving you signs and hints that he wants to be your boyfriend, but he is always too scared to say it outright. But now he's glad about how things turned out. Including giving you his virginity.
You claw at his chest, grabbing ahold of his necklace as he fucks you harder. Looking down at his member, you see a white ring around his base. Throwing your head back into his pillows, you feel another orgasm creeping up your body.
"I'm gonna—it's gonna happen again, Leon, mmphh," you whine out as your legs try to close up, only to be blocked by his body.
Leon lets out a pained whimper, and then all of a sudden he grips onto your hair and starts to gently bite under your jawline next to your earlobe. It's syrupy and slow this time; your mind goes fuzzy and blank. No thoughts, just Leon. And his manhood bumps into your cervix.
"Please, let me... inside—can I?" His words are all jumbled up, and you can't help but say yes.
He speeds up even more, which seems impossible, but it really isn't. It has your chest bouncing with each thrust, and soft cries are leaving your lips. He keeps on holding onto your hair and hand, bringing your face up to meet him halfway to make out with you. Drooling into your mouth and his eyes rolling into the back of his head. With each thrust, his necklace bumps into your neck.
Hips stuttering into yours, he almost collapses onto your figure. Threatening to bury you into his mattress as he lazily thrusts a couple more times.
A hot liquid squirts into your womb, and Leon lets out a strained moan, dropping his head into your neck. Slowly letting go of your hair and letting your scalp relax after such harsh treatment. Your cunt clenches around him tightly.
His hips continue to jerk into yours, almost making sure his cum stays inside of you. It's like his body already knows what to do after watching one video of people making love.
Leon presses soft kisses up to your temple before getting off of you. Shifting back to his haunches, he hesitantly pulls out of your hole. Watching your cunt flutter around nothing, his seed slowly drips out of your hole. His dick jumps, hitting his toned stomach, almost ready to jump back into action for round two.
"Baby, just so beautiful. I love you."
You can't help but giggle at that, making more of the sticky white liquid squirt out of your hole and onto his sheets. He quickly notices that and grabs a few tissues to wipe it off, leaving you and himself clean.
"I love you too, pretty boy," you sigh deeply, truly enamored with the way Leon just is. He's so sweet without even trying.
You go to sit up and grab your undergarments, but your legs are too shaky to even stand up, and you almost fall over. Leon maneuvers you back onto his bed and fetches it all for you. Getting himself dressed as well.
Hell, maybe it wasn't so bad to become a sinner. It was definitely a heavenly sin, that's for sure.
You two stare at each other, lips swollen red, eyes swallowed by the black and flushed pink faces. Your hands interlocked as you slowly began to kiss. But this time, it's much sweeter and softer. No rush to feel skin on skin; just relaxing in the now.
"What're we going to do?" Mumbling into the kiss, you pull away.
"What do you mean?"
"You.. you did it inside of me. What if I get pregnant? I can't be a mother right now, Leon," you frown, looking down at your stomach.
"I'll figure it out, okay? And—And if you do end up carrying my child, I'll be there. I'm not just going to leave you."
And with that, your worries washed away, nodding alongside his words as if they were God's words. In a way, he is God to you. Constantly saving you, bettering you, loving you unconditionally, and listening to you. You'd get on your knees any day for Leon. He'd just have to say the word, and you'd do it.
"Was I too rough? Are you hurt anywhere?" He presses a few chaste kisses on your forehead and temple.
"No, but I am hurting... down there. It feels a little sore. But everything else is fine." You give him a thumbs-up with a goofy grin. He returns the silly smile, nuzzling your jawline.
"I can see if there's any ibuprofen; I'll be right back, okay?"
Shortly, he returns with two pills and sets them in your palm, bringing your water over to you. You take them with a gulp of water.
"I think I've got to use the restroom as well. I'll be back." You let out a breath and walked into the bathroom across the hall. Doing your business, flushing, and then washing your hands before returning back to him.
Joining him on his bed, under the covers, to snuggle up close to him.
"You're so warm. I love it."
"I'm glad you do, sweetheart."
You both end up talking for a few more hours about work, your friends, hobbies, and, lastly, how long you've liked one another.
"Wait, wait, wait," you giggle and lay on your elbows, resting your head in your palm. "You've liked me ever since elementary school? Why haven't you told me?"
"I tried. I tried giving you hints; I even brought you a flower that one time, remember? And, like, I always let you borrow my shirts and sweaters. I thought that was enough, and you saw that, and, uh, just didn't like me back." Leon rolls his eyes and pulls you into his arms. Attacking you with kisses on your ear and behind it.
You squeal and squirm in his grasp, letting out a breathy, "Okay, okay! I see it now!"
"What about you?"
"Since middle school. Remember the time on Valentine's Day when I gave you like all my candies? And then, when we did bingo at church, I gave you my prize and said I didn't want it. Yeah, well... I wanted it, but I gave it to you instead."
"So cute. I love you, baby bug," he mumbles into your neck.
"I love you too, handsome," you answer into his shoulder.
It is safe to say that you both fell asleep holding onto each other. With smiles on your faces. You both are dreaming of the day that you both get married and have the whole white picket fence, dog, children, and everything in between.
You'd risk your relationship with God again if it meant that you'd be with Leon forever.
He would absolutely risk being called a devil's spawn if it meant that he'd get to be your lover forever.
Maybe God would forgive you if you decided to sin again and again. As long as you are happy, it doesn't matter what happens. If and only if, you have Leon, the pastor's son, in your arms, everything will be alright.

reaction to you wearing a bikini - reo & nagi (separate)
Tumblr media
ft. reo, nagi cw: mentions of gunfire (video games), fem! reader
Tumblr media
reo
in preparation for an upcoming pool party with your friends, you had asked your boyfriend to accompany you bikini shopping at the mall. of course, reo, being the filthy rich man he is, agreed to take you to the finest boutiques (he wants you to look better than your friends).
reo followed you across the mall, patiently waiting as you window shopped at each clothes store. after picking out a large selection of bikinis without a care in the world, you hurried to the fitting room.
when you first left the room, his eyes widened like never before; he was entranced by your beauty- captivated by the way the lace ties hugged the sides of your hips ever so tightly.
"woah," he'd finally manage to say, "you look gorgeous..."
you giggled at his compliment and an hour later, you finished trying on all of the bikinis and had thrown them into your shopping basket.
"so, reo, which one looked the best on me? which one should i ge-", before you could finish your sentence, he cuts you off while waving his card in front of you. "all of them. you're getting all of 'em."
you give him a soft frown before pinching his cheek gently. "baby, i don't need twenty-three bikinis, i just n-"
your efforts were futile as reo was already talking to the lady at the cashier.
Tumblr media
nagi
for the past thirty minutes, you've been on a facetime call begging nagi to come over so he could compare, rate, and choose the perfect bikinis for you. after all, summer vacation was right around the corner, and you had to prepare the ideal beach wardrobe that would enhance your appearance. so why was nagi refusing to come over, arguing it would be a hassle, despite your persistent pleading? "nagi," you sighed, rubbing your temples in frustration, "can't you just come over? you could bring your nintendo switch too, ya know?" "...nah, 'tis too much of a hassle..." he mumbles softly while concentrating on the rather graphic game running on his computer, flashing lights bouncing off his face and loud gunfire sounds distracting him from focusing on you. then a thought hit you, one that he wouldn't, more accurately couldn't, resist.
so, here you were, posing for nagi and changing into one bikini after another, after drawing his focus away from his ridiculous game and insisting he needed to concentrate on you. upon first noticing your silence, he wasn't concerned and shrugged it off indifferently- that was until he heard your voice calling him from the other end of his phone. "ta-da~" you'd croon, quietly laughing at the look your boyfriend wore—his lips were slightly parted, a light pink blush dusting his pale cheeks. "holy shit," he'd finally gasp, not realizing he was holding in his breath from the breathtaking sight of your half-nude body on his screen, "change into the next one for me, baby." to say the least, you were pleased with yourself for having managed to redirect nagi's attention away from his beloved video games and onto you.

Hello! I came across you from the fic Dr. Ratio x quantum tentacles, and since this fic I have been serving on your blog! I absolutely love the way you write!! I also love your ideas, God, they are great! If requests are open ,would it be difficult for you to write a fic about Argenti? No matter what happens!(but I still have an idea about the Knight of Beauty!Reader in this fic)I just love him so madly!😭💞
And if there is an anon emoji feature, can I be "🌾" anon?
(I apologize if there are errors in the text! If you don’t like it, you can ignore it!)
my first anon <33
A/n: im in the middle of a Argenti drabble coincidentally during this req, so i hope you dont mind half swarm monster reader as well :33 tw, cw: monsterfucking, reader is literally half monster, i may not may not have indulged in a little too much twitter art iykyk
breeding Argenti would be lovely, no? 🛡️🌹
Argenti was your fellow knight of beauty. Really, he says Idrilla is the most beautiful, but in your half monster eyes, he's the only beautiful and worthy object of your affection. Even in your freakish state, he came up to you, and proclaimed you the most beautiful person he's set his eyes on. You loved him, more than Idrilla.
He's so cute when your fucking him, he's strong, no doubt, but Aeons, he's so soft when he jerking you off. The way he gently bobs his head when he takes your first length in his mouth, the way his palm gently fists your cock, pretty green eyes welling up with tears as you hit the back of his throat, whining a little as you fist his hair. He diligently takes your other cock into his mouth, somehow only gagging slightly as your hips buck back involuntarily into his mouth. The knight's red hair is sticking to his face as he moans softly around your cocks, his hand reaching down to gently finger his clit as his throat bulges ever so slightly from you. He lets out a soft whimper as he comes, slick dripping down his thigh when you release into his throat, shocking you a little when he swallows it all without gagging. This man, he'll be the death of you.
The way his head throws back when he whimpers out while your forked tongue explores his cunt, spreading his legs wider as he combs his fingers through your hair, thighs trembling as your tongue finds his cervix, letting out a loud sound as you start to fuck it roughly, your sharp fingers tracing over his clit, making him come as he falls back on the mattress weakly, panting heavily as he watches you lick his pussy so tenderly, flushing slightly in embarrassment as you flash him a silly grin. His legs wrap weakly around your waist, his voice softly begging you to fuck him silly. Your two cocks harden again as your features show in all its glory, sharp fangs, glowing red eyes and sharper fingers than your normal ones.
The knight almost regrets it, but at the same time, holy shit, he wouldn't mind being ruined like this every night. You have both your cocks in him, one fucking his ass and the other in his cunt, fucking his cervix silly as he muffled his wails in the pillow, your fingers digging into his waist, piercing his skin, his blood making your instincts go absolutely wild. He trembles as your sharp teeth sink into his neck, drawing blood. Another sharp shriek escapes his throat when he squirts around the cock in his cunt, his eyes rolling back as his back arches into your body. Pulling out the cock in his ass, and shoving it alongside the one in his pussy as his mouth opens in a silent scream as he struggles to take in your length, babbling dumbly about how it was too much. Nonsense, you think as your hips slam into him, fascinated by the loud cries and squeals that comes out of him while he's being pounded into the bed by you.
Pumping load after load into him, his mind is completely hazy, merely filled with the thought of being your pretty mate. He cries out as he squirts around your cocks again for the nth time, fat drops of tears dripping down his face, the knight is drooling as you trace a hand over the bulge of cum and your cocks in the stomach, your instincts to mate going haywire as a low growl escapes your throat. His eyes widen as he feels your knot, as he bucks his hips back onto you, soft pleas and groans of wanting your knot. Well, since he's begging so sweetly, its not in your place to say no, is it?
Yeah, he definitely underestimated it. He's shrieking, choked gasps escaping him as he takes your knot, sobbing as he comes again, his body spasming in pure overstimulation, the lewd sounds coming out of his mouth was unlike anything you've ever heard, it was lovely. Your knot, keeping your seed inside your pretty mate, who's laying limp against the bed, soft sounds of contentment escaping his lips. So pretty. Reaching down, you bite his neck, leaving a mark. The knight shivers slightly, he's yours now. And he wouldn't have it any other way.

ON FILM
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairings; mean!ellie x fem reader
summary; spending countless nights wrapped in Ellie’s bed but not in her arms made you realise something. You want more, you’ve always wanted more. But Ellie doesn’t want more. Or maybe she does. But what if it’s too late?
cw; ellie is rlly mean :((, angst, guns, set in tlou universe!
Tumblr media
“ Els could you pass me my shirt?” You ask sitting yourself up on your girl- well not girlfriend. Your friend with benefits? Not even, not like it was decided and talked between the two of you that you are friends with benefits. Does your relationship with Ellie even tick the boxes of a friends with benefits one? It has benefits, most definitely. Like now, when you're laying half naked on her fitted sheets, which are supposed to be tightly secured around the corners of the mattress, may have come loose as a result of you and Ellie making love or from how harshly she sprung from the bed the second you two came down from your highs.
A delicate and tender brush of the strings of her guitar is the answer you get, did she not hear you? It's not like you're far away. She's only a few feet away from you. Sitting on her worn out black rolling chair with her guitar placed delicately on her thighs. You watch as the auburn strands of her hair that were just in your hands a mere 5 minutes ago move softly with the gentle bopping of her head, as her skilled fingers sweep across the strings like they are the most fragile thing. Nothing compared to the roughness she displays on her fingers when they are touching your skin. “ Els-” The strum resonates with an unpleasant, off-key twang.
She lets out a loud sigh. And suddenly, you're picking at the delicate skin of your palms. The same palms which were trying to feel the warmth of her palms only to be roughly grabbed and pinned above your head. With one hand gripping the neck of her guitar and the other resting over the strings she raises her head up. “ What?” She says with her eyes closed. You raise your hand and point at the dark green fabric laying down crumbled next to her feet. Ellie lets out a sigh as she bends over in her chair, grabbing your shirt and throwing it over to you.
The shirt didn't even make the flight as it fell to the ground near the edge of the bed. You push your body towards the end of the bed, leaning over to pick up the shirt. The rough fabric of your shirt doesn't meet your fingertips, cold metal does. You raise an eyebrow in confusion as you pull your hand up. Your eyes widen and your lips part. “ Holy shit you have a polaroid camera Els?!” You energetically exclaim rotating the camera in your hand.
“ Yeah yeah.. Joel told me to start a photo album. Apparently-” She cuts herself off placing her guitar down on the floor gently against her table. “ Hey, you're still covering my shift for me this morning right?” She asks, leaning her body back against the backrest of her chair. Crossing her arms as her eyes are planted at your hands holding the camera.
“ pfft yeah- But oh my god this is so cool! I've been wanting one for so long! I've never had my picture taken-” You rotate the camera around towards you, your finger presses a button. “ No wait-” Ellie stands up from her chair, sending it flying back. Almost hitting a wall from the violent shove the chair has fallen victim to. There's a bright flash on your face, your lips puckered and your eyes widely opened.
Ellie snatches the camera from your grasp. You furrow your eyebrows, your lips parted in surprise. “ E-Els what-” Your voice is high-pitched as your cheeks grow a slight shade of pink from shock.
“ Damn it!” Ellie shouts, throwing the camera on the other side of the bed, away from you. Your head shoots around to look at the camera, afraid that it was gonna bounce off the bed and break into a hundred pieces. “ W-what are you doing-” She cuts you off.
“ No, what are you doing?! Jesus.” She shouts, putting a hand over her face. Harshly sliding her hand over her skin in frustration. You raise an eyebrow in confusion and tilt your head to the side, “ What did I do?” You ask your voice rising in pitch but growing weaker in volume. Like a child.
Ellie throws her head back in annoyance, “ Do you have zero manners? Did your mom not teach you? You don't just grab someone's stuff and act like it's yours-” You shoot up from her bed quickly putting your shirt on, your lips are still parted in shock. Why is she so mad?
“ Jesus Els i-it's just a picture.” You say crossing your arms, suddenly feeling insecure and small. Ellies pacing back and forth, letting out disgruntled cuss words under her breath. “ That was the last film I had- And now it's been wasted on you! It wasn't meant to be used on you damn it! Now where else am I gonna find more films!” She shouts, throwing herself on her chair.
Ouch. You feel a sting in your heart. Actually no. A sting would be an understatement of the century compared to the hurt you feel in your heart. You feel sweat form on the back of your neck and your fingers immediately grabbing the ends of your worn out shirt. It feels like your heart was harshly grabbed and thrown into 50 layers of glass. Each little piece of glass  being every memory of you and Ellie in which she would treat you like a toy and the final big shard of glass piercing your heart through and through is this. Do you as a human being, as someone who searches for her in every crowd, as someone who looks at her whenever something funny happens during bar nights in Jackson, as someone who would be wrapped up in her sheets every other night have less value than polaroid film?
You remain silent. The realization just now hitting you. The reality of the situation just now hitting you like a harsh tidal wave knocking you out on the sand. Your fingers which were nervously picking at the loose strings of your shirt suddenly stop.
Your lack of response seems to anger Ellie more. “ You know what-” She shoots up from her chair and walks up to you. “ You're gonna find me more film today on your supply run. And your not coming back until you have it or whatever the fuck-” Her finger swats back and forth between the two of you. Just as she was about to open her mouth to throw more cruel words at you, there were 4 knocks on her door.
“ I don't wanna interrupt you two girls but Ellie, Jesse is looking for you.” A deep voice cut through like a worn, steadfast anchor falling down the depths of the ocean only to be pulled back as he mentioned Ellies name.
Ellies body softens as she hears Joel speak. His voice snapping her out of her trance, her sudden fit of anger. She shakes her head and looks at you. Her eyes soften as she gazes into what usually are your warm and soft eyes now suddenly distant. As if a veil had descended over them. Her gaze, accustomed to finding solace in the familiar gentleness of  your eyes, in which she would hate to admit and despise herself for , now falters upon encountering their newfound coolness. Where once there had been an openness that mirrored the tender embrace of a summer breeze, now there lay a guardedness that spoke of unspoken burdens and distant thoughts. And it had all been her doing.
“ Hey s-sweetheart- '' Her voice trembles at the nickname. And suddenly, you remember how her voice never trembles or shakes when she calls Dina or Cat sweet names. It 's just you. Do you disgust her so much you're not even worth the nickname. The sweet calling, the term of endearment which would usually make you melt. Not that she ever called you any sweet name. It's always Y/N or just ‘you’. And now that you've heard it. You never wanna hear it again.
“ It 's fine.” You whisper, scared that if you were to raise your voice just a note that you would break down. You gently push Ellie to the side, your shoulder hitting hers. Your voice, usually a beacon of exuberance, fell silent. It was as if the air around you had grown heavy with unspoken words and unshed tears, casting a solemn curtain over your once-cheerful demeanor.
Your touch, once a balm against the trials of the day, met an unexpected resistance, a subtle tensing beneath the surface of your skin. Ellie felt it instantly. The fleeting hesitation in your shoulder, the barely perceptible shift in your posture. Where once there had been a seamless connection, a dance of harmony between your souls, now there lay a fragile distance. A silent rift that echoed with unspoken questions.
—-
“ You're unusually quiet.” Jesse says shoving the christmas mugs on the shelf of a store you two stumbled upon. His fingers wrapped delicately around the handles of the bright red, green, and white mugs. It's Christmas time in Jackson. Maria had sent you and Jesse on the hunt for christmas decoration. Not forgetting to repeat that if it's red it doesn't mean it's Christmas themed to Jesse at least 5 times. Or maybe it was more. You weren't exactly listening, your mind preoccupied with the Ellie situation. You feel your body tense up at the mention of her name. You feel something poke your knee, immediately looking down. You see Jesse's hand holding the mug nudging you.
“ Hey. You okay?” He speaks, his voice soft and gentle. You almost feel bad for zoning out on his rambles. Rambles that would usually be spewing out of your mouth. You nod your head smiling, “ Yeah no im alright- Hey uh.. do you think they've got like camera film in here?”
Jesse laughs, shaking his head. “ Let me guess. Ellie has gotten you looking for film? Her fault for running out, she took like 30 of just Dina and Cat.” Jesse says standing up, turning around placing both of his hands on his hips looking around the store. He takes a deep breath in squinting his eyes trying to catch a glimpse of the store signs hanging above. “ Its too dark to see cus of these stupid lights but I think maybe-”
All you hear is static. Your entire body feels like it's being filled with static. You know that feeling, when your arm or leg is asleep and they feel too heavy to move and you just keep getting that stinging sensation. That's how your entire body feels. She took 30 of Dina and Cat. 30 pictures. 30 pictures of the flash hitting their face. 30 pictures of them doing a face. Maybe sticking their tongue out or even puckering their lips. So why was it a crime when you did it? Why was it a big deal when you did it?
“ Yeah thanks.” You say patting Jesse's shoulder. You dig your cold hands into the pocket of your jeans and start walking. Following the way down the aisles of the store, peeking your head in each aisle hoping to find a bright coloured pack of film. You weren't gonna talk to Ellie after you find her the film, that is if you can even find the film. If you can't find the film she[ll be the one not speaking to you.
You stop on one aisle. Removing your hands from your pockets, feeling the cold breeze hit them immediately. Cursing under your breath, you repeatedly rub your hands up and down the sides of your legs hoping that the friction would atleast give you some heat. You bring both hands up to your mouth, blowing into them. “ No way they had to worry about which color ribbon to buy.” You whisper to yourself, your eyes fixated on all of the colorful ribbons hanging on the shelves. Puckering up your lips, you breathe out through your nose. Walking down what seemed like an endless row of ribbons. You finally spot them.
You speed-walk towards the end of the aisle. You pull your backpack off and immediately start stuffing the packs of film. Grabbing as many as you can and shoving them in ruthlessly as you bite your lip. Your eyesight goes blurry. You're tearing up. Nope, scratch that you're crying. Tears roll down your cold cheeks as you keep shoving in the film at a remarkable speed. You're biting your lower lip trying to stop a sob from escaping. Before you were about to have a full blown breakdown you hear Jesse shout.
“ Y/N! WATCH OUT!” Jesse shouts running to you, shooting a clicker behind you. You immediately shoot up, throwing your backpack over your shoulder and grabbing your gun from your holster. “ Jesus fuck!” You shout stumbling backwards at the hoard of clickers running towards you and Jesse.
Jesse grabs you, pulling you up. “ We can't take them all- We have to make a run for it!” He says running, your hand still in his. Your heart is racing, you can feel it in your fingertips, your ears, your toes. Turning your head around to catch a glimpse of exactly what you're dealing with, you almost stop on your feet. There's at least 20. “ Fuck fuck Jesse we wont make it!” You shout, pointing your gun backwards shooting aimlessly at the hoard of clickers only growing faster.
Your brain is short-circuiting. Millions of scenarios are running through your head. 99% of them are of you dead, bleeding out on the floor with a hoard of clickers feasting on your body like it’s their first and final meal. Your chest is heaving up and down. Your breathing but it’s not enough. It probably is enough if it weren’t for your brain trying to convince you it’s not.
You two won’t make it out of the store without them attacking your horses. You need to come up with a plan. You need to come up with a plan now immediately.
“ Jesse, keep going! I’ll distract them!” You shout, ripping your hand out of his tight grasp, surely he’s left prints of his fingers on your hand. Jesse’s hand immediately tries to grab yours again, “ No Y/N! What are you doing you idiot!” Jesse shouts.
You push him forward out of the store doors, you turn around and shoot the clickers that were too close to you. You lean your back against the sliding glass doors, Jesse's on the other side pounding on the door trying to push it open. “ Fucking go!” You shout shooting more of them. God why are there so many.
“ Open the fucking door Y/N!” He shouts banging on the door. You shout in frustration, stomping your leg on the floor at his stubbornness. Your other hand reaches for the knife strapped to your thigh. Turning around you stab the window with the knife. The glass shattering all over the floor, some shards even landing on Jesse. You yank your backpack off and throw it throw the window  “ Give me your gun and fucking go!”
Jesse’s hand shakily hands you the gun as he grabs your backpack, slinging it over his shoulders and runs to his horse. You turn around and watch him mount the horse, his eyes are shiny with tears. He leans down grabbing a rock and throwing it to a glass window on the other side of the store distracting some of the clickers. Mounting his horse he sets off.
You move away from the glass and keep shooting the clickers, alerting the ones Jesse had just distracted. The hoard rushes towards you. “ Fuck.”
——
Ellie immediately runs to the gates of Jackson after hearing the shouts of the guards on the watchtowers announce Jesse’s arrivals. Her heart racing. Her hands sweaty at the thought of seeing you after everything that's happened, not like her hands aren’t usually sweaty when she thinks about you. Just the mere thought of you makes her heart race and her palms sweaty. And it scares her. Really fucking scares her.
The gates opening cuts her out of her trance. She sees Jesse. She doesn’t see you. Where are you? She makes a run for the gates expecting you to be following behind Jesse but your not. “ W-where’s?” Her voice is cut off by Jesse’s. “ We need backup! Damn it Y/N!” He jumps off his horse, his hands in his head.
No.
She sees your backpack on his back. No. No. No. Please no. God no.
Your backpack falls off his shoulders. Ellie makes a run for your bag, almost breaking the zipper.
“ T-the place got overrun and Y/N stupidly distracted them and-”
Your bag is full of films

"What?" Eddie says eloquently, tearing his eyes from the laminated menu.
The waiter is hovering next to his booth, pen tapping against the notepad in his hand. He looks annoyed. Probably pissed at Eddie for interrupting his quiet night shift. Well, tough luck, pretty boy.
"I said …" the waiter pauses, heaves a brief but heartfelt sigh. "Are you ready to roll?"
Eddie blinks.
"Listen, dude!" The waiter says flatly, but there's a blush blossoming on his neck. "I'd ask if I may take your order, but I'm, like, contractually obfuscated to say … this instead. Goes with the theme, y’know?"
He gestures at the entirety of himself. The cheerfully colored shirt and tiny shorts. The little apron around his waist. The knee-high socks disappearing into a pair of chunky, red-and-white rollerblades, and … oh, right.
"Well?"
Eddie snaps his eyes back up and shit, for how long has he been staring at those legs like a creep?
The waiter is scowling at him. He really is pretty. Exactly Eddie’s type. Gold-flecked eyes, stupidly voluminous hair, pink lips twisted into a bitchy little scowl. Eddie imagines pushing him up against the wall on those stupid wheels of his, sucking and biting that scowl right off.
"Hm," he makes instead. "The guys at the label said I'd enjoy the cake, but I'm starting to think they weren't talking about the menu."
The scowl deepens.
"Cheeseburger and fries," Eddie says. "And a strawberry milkshake."
One elegant eyebrow arches.
"... Please?"
Waiter boy smirks at him, a brief flash of perfectly white teeth. Eddie wants to lick them.
"Coming right up." He jots the order down, shoves pen and notepad into his apron pocket. As he does, Eddie catches a glimpse of the name tag attached to his uniform shirt. (Which has nothing to do with him ogling the way the fabric stretches over that toned chest, because he wasn't doing that, thank you.)
It says "Hi, I'm Steve. :-)"
Wait, what?
The whirr of rollerblades on the floor tiles jerks him out of his stupor. He's glad he didn't take off his sunglasses, because holy fuck, he must be gawking like an idiot right now.
Because he knows a guy named Steve. Or knew.
A guy named Steve with perfect, caramel hair, tan skin littered in moles and an irritatingly pretty, aloof smile. Not that Eddie was ever at the receiving end of that smile. The closest Eddie ever got to him was back in eighty-six, when he was dealing drugs out of his van. In the driveway of that palace in Loch Nora, while the King and his court partied inside.
Eddie watches how waiter boy comes gliding out of the kitchen, wipes down tables and refills napkin holders.
It can't be.
Steve Harrington is back in the hellhole that is Hawkins, Indiana - or maybe at some college halfway across the country, preparing to take over daddy's business. He's most certainly not wearing rollerblades and a pair of stupidly short shorts, waiting tables in a cheap twenty-four hour diner in Seattle.
Then again, back in eighty-six, who would've thought that Eddie Munson would be owning his own record label one day?
When waiter boy arrives with his order and leans in to put it down on the table, Eddie peers over his sunglasses to cast an inconspicuous look at his profile.
There's a pair of moles on his neck, near identical in size, spaced apart like a perfect little vampire bite.
Well, slap his ass and call him Sally.
Eddie knows these moles, has spent entire nights jerking off to the thought of sinking his teeth into them.
"Staring costs extra," Steve mutters at the milkshake.
Before Eddie can say anything, the phone on the counter rings and Steve rolls over to answer it. Eddie chews on his too-salty fries and can't help the grin that tugs at his lips as he watches the boy twirl the cord around his fingers while taking the order.
The night just officially got interesting.
Steve looks over, catches him staring and gives him the flattest, most unimpressed look Eddie has ever seen on a person who just realized they were being checked out. The blush has reached his cheekbones and the bridge of his nose. Eddie winks and Steve rolls his eyes before he turns his back on him. Eddie doesn’t complain. That ass does look fantastic in the shorts.
He takes his time with the meal. The burger is nothing to write home about, but the view more than makes up for it.
When he is done, he saunters over to the counter, pulling out his wallet. Steve is busy counting mayonnaise packages and muttering under his breath. He blinks in confusion when Eddie slaps down a fifty, starts digging for change in his apron.
"Nah," Eddie says. "Just keep it."
Steve frowns at him. "That's way too much."
"Don't sell yourself short. I thought staring was extra?"
Steve opens his mouth. Hesitates. Closes it. Pockets the money.
"Thanks," he murmurs, eyes trained at some point behind Eddie's shoulder. "Roll by again."
Eddie just barely manages to turn the incoming snort into a grin.
"Sure will,” he mutters, leaning across the counter and into the boy’s space. “Maybe I'll try that cake next time."
"Oh, please," Steve huffs. "As if you could afford me, Munson."
Eddie feels his jaw drop. "Wait, you knew who-"
The doorbell chimes.
"Hi there!" Steve chirps at the guy in the door. "You called, right? I'll check if your order is ready."
And then he's gone and Eddie is staring at the still swinging kitchen door like an idiot.
It isn't until he's back out in the dark street that his confusion morphs into something else. His majesty wants to play coy? Well, Eddie can indulge him, can't he?
He makes his way home with a new spring in his step. Looks like he's found his new favorite dinner spot.

Ramblin' Gamblin' Man
Written for @corrodedcoffinfest
Day #20 - Prompt: Under The Covers | Word Count: 979 | Rating: M | CW: period typical homophobia (alluded to) | POV: Steve | Pairing: Steddie | Tags: secret relationship, sharp suits, Steve Harrington is stupid for Eddie Munson, Fluff but make it lustful
Tumblr media
Steve’s at the Grammys. Holy Shit.
It’s not the first time Eddie’s been here, but it’s the first time he’s brought Steve. He walked the red carpet alone last time, the rest of the band ahead of him with their wives and girlfriends, Eddie playing up the bachelor angle. Steve watched from their home.
Tonight they’re ’best friends if anyone asks’, which Eddie thinks is unlikely because there are some big names here and like, who the fuck are they in the scheme of things?
They’re not nominated for anything; Eddie said they’d been asked to play a cover of Ramblin’ Gamblin Man and both Wayne and Steve’s dad are big Bob Seger fans so the band said yes. See, its little things like that that make him want to climb inside Eddie and never come out. Any other act is thinking about the prestige, Eddie’s thinking about whether his family would like it.
He loves this man so fucking much.
The band are sitting about ten rows back; he’s got a clear view of Sheryl Crow from his seat, and he’s pretty sure that’s the back of Whitney Houston’s head over to his left.
His new phone is buzzing in his pocket. Robin is obsessed with sending him messages. Tonight so far:
‘Is Stevie Nicks there?’
‘If she is please tell me she’s hot.’
‘Shit I think I just saw you!’
‘Is that Sheryl Crow in front of you?’
He deletes them to make space for new messages, hopefully something about how their friends are at the goddamn Grammys and not whether Shania Twain has a nice ass. (She does, he looked.)
Eddie taps his arm. “Okay, we have to go get changed.”
“Huh? Why?”
They’re wearing their ‘Corroded Coffin smart attire’, essentially their usual clothes minus the rips. They’re not exactly scruffy, per se, but… Steve’s in a suit here, you know? (The suit is borrowed, but it’s all about the effort.)
Eddie grins at him. “You didn’t think I was performing at the Grammys in this, did you?” He pulls at the long sleeve tee he’s wearing under his new leather jacket.
“I mean, yeah, I kind of did.”
Eddie tsks. “For shame, Steve.” He leans in, achingly close, his breath tickling Steve’s neck. “Wish me luck.”
Just for a second Steve thinks about kissing him. Fuck everyone else, fuck the fans, the industry, he just wants to kiss his man publicly. But he doesn’t. Instead he shifts so his lips are practically touching the shell of Eddie’s ear.
“Good luck,” he whispers.
Eddie shivers. Steve laughs.
The boys all leave, and now it’s Steve and The Wives.
Thirty minutes later the sound of a trashy high-hat fills the auditorium, lights flashing in time to the thu-thu thump bass drum pattern. Despite Jeff being their lead vocalist it’s Eddie, with his raspier, bluesier voice, that’s taking the lead tonight, and doesn’t that just make Steve’s heart fucking cry out with pride? And you know, Eddie, his Eddie, singing at a nationally televised event should be the thing he’s concentrating on, and it is! It is. But when the lights go up the first thing he actually notices is—
“Holy shit, they’re wearing suits!”
Bonnie says it before anyone else gets a chance. He imagines the four of them are a picture right now, side by side, eyes on stalks because their men are all on stage at the Grammy’s wearing blacks suits, crisp white shirts and… fucking sunglasses.
Look, he’s seen Eddie in a suit. It was a nice suit, but he looked about as comfortable as a priest in a lingerie store. This is not that.
These are sharp tailored suits, fitted to perfection. Eddie has too many buttons undone on the shirt, some of his chest exposed, that old Fender guitar pick necklace replaced with a solid silver copy (the original with Wayne). The stage lights hit his mirrored Ray Bans, the chain, the rings. But Steve can’t take his eyes off that fucking suit.
He’s going to devour him.
Eddie’s not a frontman, says he loves being able to just do his thing and let Jeff take care of the crowd. But he has a feeling things might change after tonight.
The audience are on their feet, and Steve grabs the girls so they can head down to the backstage area. They have passes but even then he has to pull the ‘pregnant ladies coming through’ card to get them back to the green room. And when they get in there--
They’re still dressed in those fucking suits.
Eddie spins toward him. “Hey! What did you—“
Steve doesn’t give him a chance to finish the sentence, he has his hands on Eddie’s face and he’s dragging him in for a long, deep kiss, Eddie’s eyes wide and cross eyed.
When he finally comes up for air he realises Jeff, Gareth and Matt are all getting much the same treatment from their wives.
“You’re never taking this off, understand?” Steve says breathlessly. “Never.”
“What… the suit?”
“Duh, the suit, yes the suit. You’re never taking it off. I don’t care what you’re doing, mowing the lawn, taking the trash out, washing the car, don’t care. This,” he says gently pulling at a very expensive lapel, “is never leaving your body.” He goes in for another kiss. “God the things I’m going to do to you tonight.”
“In the suit?”
“Fuck yes, in the suit! Told you, you’re never taking this off.”
Eddie’s grin is slow and mischievous. “This is really doing it for you, huh?”
“You have no idea.”
It’s doing it for everyone. There are three respectable married ladies here, mothers no less, acting like groupies at an Aerosmith gig.
Steve squeezes his hips. “Let’s go.”
“Sunglasses: on or off?”
Steve wants to sink his teeth into him right here.
“On. Definitely on.”

Francis mosses is just a milkman, a nobody. But you were a something he wanted, and what's the difference between wants and needs?
CW: weed usage, hair pulling, cum eating, elongated tongue, misuse of shape shifting, Francis is a shy little freak, sub Francis, marking, reader gets stoned and gets an idea,
It's gonna be... 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 👅
You were so nice for a creature. Your smile, although a bit sharp was so mesmerizing. Your morning greetings were so pleasant, and genuinely made his day. He was so lonely, and you're small acts of kindness made him develop a small crush on you.
"Are you alright Francis? Your eyes have been getting darker." He'd shrug, however delighted that you'd noticed. "Mmm... Long shifts." You gave him a sympathetic look, and he looked the other way. "Come over tonight. I have something that might help."
So he came to you that night. He had changed out of his uniform into his button up pajamas, (1950s pajamas are Ebeneezer Scrooge couture okay 😭 lets act like that's sexy), and he approached your door, knocking on it.
Within a few seconds you had opened the wooden door, gazing at him with a smile. "Oh you're here already?" Another smile, it's like you're the original, but so much nicer. "Mmm, need all the help I can get." Your eyes scan him up and down and he shudders, but you shake your head, inviting him. "Take a seat on the couch, I'll be with you in a second." He does as told, but he's so stiff about it. Awkwardly sitting with perfect posture, his legs spread apart, and tapping his thigh anxiously. You return with a soft blanket and a two cups of hot cocoa, and two neatly rolled joints between your fingers. "Oh don't be so rigid, darling."
Fuck if only you knew the things you did to him. "Mmm, sorry about that." Francis apologizes, but you're quick to dismiss it. "I don't want to hear any of that." Settling down to his right, you pull out your lighter, and set the cups of warmed chocolate on the nightstand beside you. "Have you ever smoked weed, Francis?" The way you asked the question was so casual, that he looked almost taken back (this is the 1950s guys.)
"Mmm, well no." He glanced nervously at the joint in your hand as you set the end aflame, pulling on it once and holding the cocoa in your hand. You exhale the smoke and quickly take a swig. "I heard the coughing hurts."
You laugh, and it almost sounds like you're making fun of him. Once again, your teeth flash at him, and he swallows. Francis wonders how they would feel on his neck, his collarbone, his thighs... "Here," Lifting the other mug in your hand, you pass it to him. "If you exhale after a moment and drink this really fast you won't cough as much, if at all." He takes the drink, and sets it in his lap. However his attention is back in you and the way your lips curl around the blunt. You look so graceful about it.
"Here." You pass the joint to him between two fingers, and he copies you. "Now just take a small hit, this is your first time after all." The milkman nods, pressing his lips to it, and of course he doesn't listen. He barely feels it go down so after a solid 5 seconds you press your fingers to his lips and take the weed from him. "That's enough for you big fella."
Francis blows the white cloud from his lunge, and after a solid second of not feeling anything, he gets a scratchy burning feeling, and immediately sips on the cocoa. Afterwards he starts coughing, but it's not as bad as it would be without the drink. "H-Holy shit..." He manages in between coughs. "Damn that..." Francis leans back, his brain already starting to feel the effects. "That hits."
You chuckle lowly, taking another couple of puffs before passing it back to him. He goes through the cycle again before finally both of you are at a good high.
His eyes are dropped, eyelids lowered as he gazes at the wall. "Francis." You whisper, grabbing his attention, and suddenly he's locked in on you. Your hair, your lips, your eyes. God you're just a sight to behold.
"How are you feeling." He blinks at you, before smiling. "I feel great." He whispers. "Really good."
He moves a little closer, pulling the blanket further over himself. "Why haven't I done this before?" He leans his head back against the back of the couch, sighing. You can't help but appreciate the proximity. "Ummm..." He smells good, like deep cologne and the hint of flower in the air. "I don't know, but I'm glad you're feeling this good." Your hand goes to his thigh, landing on his knee and he shudders.
You had to be doing this in purpose. He felt his heart beating faster, and his body felt heavy. The way your fingertips glided over his knee to the center of his thigh, he wanted your hand just a bit further up. He wanted your hands everywhere. Really, he couldn't help it. His eyes fluttered shut as you kept running your hand over his thigh and he sighed heavily. "(Y/N)..." He whispered under his breath, and you took your hand away. You didn't want to push it, or do anything he didn't want.
You would have been an idiot to not notice that Francis had taken an interest in you. His flushed glances as you complimented him on his appearance, even if he was disheveled; or, when you touched his arm as a thank you for helping when you had "accidentally" knocked one of the bottles down.
"Are you alright, darling?" That nickname again, he parted his lips to speak. He wanted to be your darling, he had for a while. "I do like when you call me that." He admitted slowly, and his eyes sifted opened to peer at you. "Do you call anyone else darling?" He asked so innocently, but with a smidge of potential envy. "I don't." You reply simply, and you turn to face him fully. He returns the gesture, and now he's inches away from your face. "Mmm... So I'm your darling then?" He stated as though it were fact, speaking aloud.
Right in front of his eyes this time, your right hand drifts down to his thigh, and he twitches. "Mmm, don't do this to me." He wrenches his eyes from the scene back to you.
"What's the matter Francis?" It's his upper thigh this time that you graze, and it drives him to a point of no return. Already his pants are swelling with the thoughts he can't say, and if it weren't for the thickness of the blanket you would have seen it. However, you can feel the heat radiating from it. "Is there something wrong?"
Francis puts a hand over his eyes, he doesn't want to admit it, but he's already so painfully hard, a bead of precum staining his boxers and all you've done is pet his thigh. "Mmm... No- no." He shakes his head, and he nearly lurches out of his skin when all of a sudden your hand grazes over the spot that's affected the most. "Fuck- I just-" Francis mumbles, his hips chasing the contact, the stiffened member behind the clothing twitching beneath your ministrations. "Please-"
You don't deny him any further. You set your mugs to the side and crawl into his lap, and attach your lips to his. It's like a finely tuned instrument, both of you in sync, your hips moving over his slowly, and your kisses in the same agonizing rhythm.
He tries kissing you sweetly, this is the first time, but he can't control himself that well when it comes to this. "mmm- mm!" Your sharpened teeth bite his bottom lip, and he whines at the sting. But fuck he wants it, he wants those teeth to sinking into his neck, he wants the marks, he wants it all.
So you can't blame him when he grabs your hips and bucks into them, his eyes squeezed shut as he pushed his tongue into your mouth. Only to lose when your much longer one, which he hadn't noticed before, fills his. Your mixed saliva drops down his chin and he starts fully thrusting against you practically, his hands on your waist and your assisted pressure. "oh fuck- fuck-" he parts from the kiss to groan into your shoulder, and he sits down, begging into your ear while you did all the work. "Feels so good-"
Francis had been so lonely, so pent up. "Mmm more-" He pleaded, but you felt like being a little cruel to him. He could take it.
Your hand pulls his hair backwards and his hips jerk, a long moan escaping his throat. "You want more?" Your hips went faster and his eyebrows furrowed upwards, sweat at his hairline as you relentlessly dug your hips into him. "Huh, darling?"
The grip you had on his hair was just tight enough to ache and when you shook him around a little bit he couldn't stop himself from crying out. "yes!" He gasped, and suddenly he admitted what he wanted. "Please I want your fucking teeth in my neck- I want your tongue on my chest and-" he didn't even need to say it for you to know what he meant, because he keeps dragging his hips over yours when he has the mind to.
You quickly ripped his shirt open, and he shuddered when you let go of his hair. His tired eyes watched you get on your knees in front of him, his lip pulled between his teeth as you immediately peppered his neck with kisses.

The crowd, alongside you, was singing the lyrics to “wie du manchmal fehlst”. You were standing in the first row, mesmerised by Aggu’s form. Throughout the night he would run around the stage but during this song he walked closer to the crowd. You realised at that moment that he was making a beeline for you. You quickly thanked your earlier self for wearing something revealing and extended your arm towards him.
When your fingers connected with his own your brain short-circuited. Suddenly the room started spinning. You were literally holding Aggu’s hand. You kept singing hoping your singing skills were satisfactory, if he heard them. He looked down at you and gave you a smile as if to reassure you that it was happening in real life. You saw his grills alongside the grin he flashed you and my god, did he look good from that point of view.
He moved around near the crowd for a moment more and went back to his usual theatrics. You got a video of him holding your hand which might’ve been the happiest moment of your life so far. He moved away from you after a moment of closeness to get close to other fans, avoiding holding hands with anyone else. The song was one of the last ones he performed so not long after he said his goodbyes he walked backstage.
After the concert Aggu posted a story in English pertaining to the person who held his hand. It so happened to be you. You dm’d him, sending the video as proof if he wanted it. He didn’t answer quickly. Your anxiety was rising with each passing hour. Suddenly when you were just about to go to sleep, you heard a notification. “How’d you like the concert?”
You couldn’t believe this. “I loved it!! I honestly was sooo happy when I got the tickets and-” You stopped for a moment, deleting the message entirely. “It was lovely!” You tried to seem nonchalant but it couldn’t be denied that you were fucking texting The Ski Aggu. He sent you a voice message.
Holy shit. Did he expect one back? What did he say? What was even going on?! “Mmm, glad you liked it. I couldn’t help but notice such a beautiful person among the crowd.” It was only a few seconds long but it made your heart flutter like a ballad sung by the greatest singer to ever live. You gathered all your courage and pressed ‘record’. You rambled for a minute straight and when your phone buzzed with the message reaching its full capability you decided against sending it. ‘Okay. We can do this.’ You thought about what you wanted to say and attempted to try again. Then a message popped up. “Hesitating gorgeous?”
…oh my god.
“I wouldn’t dream of it.” You responded, quickly regretting your decision. He saw the message and started typing. “Good.” Your heart stopped for a second. You pressed record and began rambling once more. Sent. Okay. Alright. “You’ve got a voice as gorgeous as your face angel.” The answer came quicker than you expected. He sent another voice message. “I was thinking, maybe you’d like to meet up today? I heard you’ve got great clubs here.”
You were frantically getting ready, suddenly forgetting how to do eyeliner and what clothes suited you the best. “I’m here.” You read the message in your notifications. You brushed your teeth quickly and ran out the door, almost breaking a leg on the stairs. You saw him in his car waiting, scrolling through tiktok. He was wearing his usual clothes and you started feeling a bit too overdressed. His reaction to your appearance swept you off your feet.
“Hi dov-” Looking up from his phone he saw what he would describe as the embodiment of the word breathtaking. His jaw almost went slack from seeing you in those clothes. “My goodness, you’re even more beautiful now. How’d you do that?” You blushed. “Tried my best with what I have.” He looked at you with lust in his eyes. “Oh and you’ve got so much.”

you cling to your papers and pens (wait until you like me again)
Tumblr media
sana x fem!reader — angst, fluff | cw: mention of cigs, weed
it's been a rough, gruesome six months. you've locked yourself away from everyone else, only focused on your work to keep your expenses in the living range, barely eating with the empty bottles of jack daniel’s and soju lying around the dinner table properly like it's your personal bar.
“holy shit,” your friend, nayeon laughs as she sees your wrecked state. “you look like shit,” she says as she walks in, removing her white leather shoes and tucks them away neatly at the step beside the doorway. “your house looks like shit,” she sighs, taking the bottles of alcohol away from your table to your kitchen top. “everything’s shit.”
“don't need to point out the obvious,” you sighed and followed, also cleaning your mess one by one. “i just want my life back, you know?”
she just laughs as she helps you wipe down the mess on your table, “no, you want sana back.”
“well,” you sighed deeply at the memory of what you once, well, whom you still love. “i don't know. she can't leave me like this when i didn't expect that this would happen.”
nayeon was one of the people whom you ranted and cried to the moment sana went m.i.a on you. honestly, you didn't even know the reason why she did. the days before that event of her leaving, you two were happy; you cooked breakfast together, you kissed every time you wanted to, you made love in every corner, you two talked about the most random shit in the world, you rode bikes beside the river, you went on dates, rarely fought, and solved everything by communicating— like in a deep, boundless honeymoon phase.
with sana, you thought that it was never-ending. unconditional. something you could never find everywhere, even if you tried to scurry the ends of the earth for a similar feeling.
but then, on one winter night, just a few days before her birthday, she disappeared like white smoke as cold as your breaths when you cried and screamed her name in the streets of seoul.
up until now, you call her number, text her number, go to the firm she works at (well, it's unavoidable, your workplace was across the street.), text her friends (which, were also your friends and had no clue that sana also left.) hoping for a little update from her, and why she left you.
after hours of cleaning, you finally found yourself satisfied with the step of making (at least) your house a little cleaner. now, everything's clear to you; how sana left you with an empty home— an empty dinner table, an empty bed, an empty sofa, an empty heart. you went into tears remembering almost everything like it all washed, crashed, and flashed in front of you.
she left you with ghosts that you didn't know how to manage, and you're the only one left to deal with it.
does it haunt her the way it does to you? you cursed that she’d be so haunted by it and come running back.

on the other side of the world, there's 8 empty bottles of wine on a kitchen top, a woman holding a glass as she wakes up from her ‘nap’ that lasted 8 hours on her couch.
new york. there was sana in the middle of a seemingly concrete jungle, the buildings looming into her as she walks, bigger than anything else she's seen before.
but, this was her escape. she didn't even know what she would escape from.
she confided in the wine glasses, pouring both cheap and expensive wine in one night, crying and lulling herself with your voice in her messages to sleep. it didn't help that it was cold, and your embrace was the only thing that she can ever confide in. it was awful too, how the memory of you talking about new york haunts her, how she imagines you in every street, in every store, in every corner of it and how much you'd enjoy it both.
she doesn't know why she needs time if she chooses to hurt. she's so afraid of the fact that she'll break you, that she can never give what you want.
she found a small, blue velvet box in your cabinet as she wanted to steal one of your hoodies (which happens more often than not) which sent chills to her spine. you wanted to marry her.
at first, she didn't really mind as maybe you'll give it another time, or maybe it's a different ring. but you've been hinting about it ever so slightly since, and that just kept her away. she didn't even know why she was so afraid of telling you just that.
but sana's smart enough to catch on, hearing you on a call with your friend at 3am, talking about the ring, and how you'd give it to her on her birthday, basically like a double thing where you'd propose and surprise her.
on the 28th, she decided, taking one of your hoodies with her as her pairs of shoes, clothes, things, and she herself, leaves your shared home.
she sighs, putting the wineglass to a safer place, her coffee table. it doesn't help that the layout of her flat was so similar to your shared home, and she sometimes just wakes up with tears in her eyes, knowing that she had dreamt about you.
she doesn't know. what she knows is that your hurting at the same time she was hurting.

“we're going to relocate you to new york for this project,” your boss says as he slides you a thick pile of manila folders, supposedly from the new client. “they liked your portfolio.”
“okay,” you leaned back at the cushioned chair. “what are the conditions?”
“what they've said is that you’ll be on the project for the whole duration,” your boss sighs against his own chair. “and then they’ll put you on their team of other architects in new york. they have a similar style than yours, but they'd make you the head.”
“when will i meet them?” i asked. “i mean, before i fly, there's an initial meeting, right?”
“it’s gonna be on friday,” your boss says. “read the profiles on those so that you could get a rough draft of what they want from you.”
“and surprisingly, they wanted me,” you laughed over the phone at just how ridiculous it was. you haven't had any big projects since six months ago, which was your break-up. you refused to accept, but then, this one's different. “plus, it's a two year contract. they want me there until the building stands upright.”
your friend, momo, laughs in absolute delight. “great. you'd meet me often then,” she joked, but then, you don't see why not. “and, i assure you that i've got the stuff, you know? girls, booze, and even the devil's grass— i have them.”
“god, can you calm down for a second, i'm not even there yet,” you joked back. “wait, isn't weed illegal in new york?”
“yeah, it is,” momo chuckles. “well, you've got to get your ass to other states too to live a little. that's why it's called the united states of america, not united state of new york.”
“i can't believe you can't even stay still,” you sighed over the phone. it was a classic, momo was an adventurer all on her own, so you couldn't blame her. “anyways, meet me at the airport, okay?”
“yes, sure,” she sighs over the phone too. you could just feel the eye roll from thousands of miles away. “you better get me what i've said to you.”
“of course,” you affirmed. it was a list of her favourite snacks and some other asian kitchen staples, since she does cook often. “half of my luggage is like your stuff. don't even complain if the jjapaggeti noodles are broken.”
“yeah, whatever,” momo chuckles over the phone. “just bring yourself here in one piece. you already have a place?”
“yup,” you breathe, remembering how much you were looking forward to that house. it was supposed to be your home after you've proposed to sana. “i, um, kept it for a while.”
“alright,” momo replied. “i gotta go.”
you then smiled, “okay, see you.”
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
momo fetches you from the airport with a silly little sign that read: “WELCOME TO NEW YORK Y/N!” then, she happily shows you around the new york city like a tourist before going home.
“is this it?” momo asks, looking up through her window to see if she was in the right apartment complex.
you nodded and said, “yes, this is it.” you smiled as you got off the car, helping momo unload the luggage. you took out a big bag and a small plastic bag out of your luggage, and gave it to momo who was already smiling with joy. “snacks.”
“you're my bestest friend ever.” she says, quite sarcastically as she loads the stuff back to the backseats of her sedan. “you really sure that you can't spend the night out?”
“i need to deal with the jetlag first,” you explained as you closed your luggage. “plus, i have a meeting tomorrow. i need to deal with that first.”
“okay,” momo smiles and hugs you. “just give me a call whenever you need someone, okay?”
“yes, yes,” you smiled and hugged her back. “you go home now.”
“yup,” she says, going back to the driver's seat. “good night, y/n!”
you smiled and waved at her until she disappeared from the street, as now you're left with your heavy luggage and your stuffed backpack. you get your keycard from your wallet and slowly went up the stairs, having a breath of relief seeing the entrance to go up the complex.
it had an elevator, luckily, it was working, and you pushed the button to the 4th floor. your door was to the left, a huge studio unit facing the street. although it isn't that busy, you really liked it as there were trees, and it was downtown.
god, you wished that sana could live in this beauty with you. the apartment, by your design, had taken inspiration from the 60s, mid century modern at it's very best. you turn on the lights to see the furniture still covered with what you left it.
you quickly remove it to take a seat on the sofa. you couldn't believe just how much it feels this big. it was like someone was meant to be beside you, but now you're left all by yourself.
the big windows show just what's outside. another complex, another window, weirdly, your neighbor's windows were open. you didn't have your glasses on, so you didn't really mind, but there was a woman who held a glass of wine, her hair tied into a bun as she read a book. it was a quiet life, and you were sure of it.
you take out something from your backpack, a little journal for your sketches. you draw the lines of your window, and draw the woman just across you. you don't know her, but you smile at the sight of her just turning pages and drinking her wine. you finished your sketch, smiling, and you passed out on the same sofa.
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
sana, after a while of drinking wine and reading, takes a look across the road. it's the first time she sees the lights open from the neighbor's window, and she sees just how big the windows were compared to hers. must've been great to live there as she sees the furniture. it looks like a damn museum in soho.
she doesn't miss the sight of a person, still wrapped up in their most uncomfortable clothes, a brown, long trench coat, dress pants, and a dress shirt; passed out on the sofa. that's how she remembers you sleeping when you've had a bad, excruciating day from your work, and she chuckles at it. she must've been so drunk to think that it was you, so she gets her eyeglasses.
“fuck.” she cursed. she rubs her eyes in disbelief, maybe she's going crazy that now you haunt her. “fuck, this can't be.” she slaps herself, trying to make sense of it all as she hurriedly closes her windows shut.
she knows you've had a couple of apartment complexes in new york way before she ghosted you. she knows that you own several here— one in the upper west, one in soho, and this one, all of it being rented. she was going crazy and filled her wineglass again, trying to relieve her veins.
she couldn't sleep that night without trying to look at the other side. seeing you sleep like that, so uncomfortable and busy. her heart aches as she still knows just how much your forehead creases like that, at just how much she knows your heart sleeps heavy too. she wants to hold you like she always does, and wants you to let it all out on her.
sana cries herself to sleep that night.
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
you wake up to the bright sunlight seeping into the corners of your home. you even forgot to take out the lights before you slept so uncomfortably on the sofa. you looked at your watch, seeing that it was already 9 AM, just an hour before your meeting, so you hurriedly stood up, cursing as you pulled down the blinds of the window to have some privacy before you left. you didn't miss how the woman across you had shut her windows down even if she was letting it all open at night. weird.
you then chuckled at the thought and got rid of your other clothes to take a bath and hurriedly made yourself presentable for the meeting.
you just thanked god for the subway system, and how fast you can run. you arrived at the meeting room 10 AM, on the dot, and you immediately took out your laptop to present.
it went well, and now you're reassigned into a team on the 14th floor, working on the same project as you. it's a two year contract with them, so you made a promise to yourself that you'll not slack off about it. well, it's just that you can't. it's a big project and you need to design both interior and exterior.
the same night, since it was a weekend, you decided to get a couple of drinks from the deli just right at the corner of your street. you were already dressed comfortably, and you're now looking at the selection of alcohol in the back of the deli. you can't deny that you've been drinking more now than ever, even when you were partying. you sigh as you get two bottles of smirnoff mule, a staple since you've been spending time here and not finding cheaper-than-water soju.
you went to the cashier and saw a woman getting in, hair falling down to her shoulders, wearing a comfortable pair of slides, with a pair of black rimmed round glasses and one of your favorite hoodies. wait. what?
you look at her again, her back facing you. that mclaren formula one hoodie. it was plain in the front, just having the team’s logo, and it had a huge print of the car at the back. it was a gift from her since she knows just how much you like formula one.
“that'll be $5.28.” the cashier reminds you. “anything else?”
“a pack of marlboro reds too, please.” you smiled, and you heard the woman, whom you think was sana, clear her throat. she knows you've been trying to come clean, and since the four years you've been together, you haven't touched any type of cigarette. she can't bear the feeling that pangs in her chest, knowing that you'll relapse because of her.
“that'll be $22.28.” the cashier says. damn, that expensive? you thought in your head. it was just a fake buy, yeah, you'd put it, but you'll leave it rotting. you become sick at the smell of tobacco in your system.
“have a great night!” you greet as you went outside the deli, waiting for the woman to come out. you don't plan to confront her, but you do plan to get something out of her. you don't care if she'll nag at you, or hit you, or ignore you. you just want her to know you're here and you've found her.
you put a stick of cigarette between your lips, and you pull out your lighter (you keep it as a fidget toy, and you recently put some fluid on it.) you spark it as you saw, at the corner of your eye, sana leaving the deli to go to your street too.
you took a sickly puff out as she passes by, and she coughs loudly.
“what? have a problem with it?” you confronted her. “it’s not like it's your first time seeing me like this, minatozaki.”
you quickly disposed of the cigarette. you hated it already, and it was no use. she stopped in her tracks, hearing her last name come out of your mouth.
“just stop running away.” you chuckled to yourself. “you already know i can never get mad at you.”
“i live at number 14, 4th floor, number 229, the door's always open.” you shouted as she continues walking. you didn't care if you just exposed your room number, or your literal address to everyone. not that they’d care. what's important is that sana does. “i want my hoodie back!”
“well fuck you!” she shouts back, and from that, you can see her tears run from her face. “it's mine now!”
she runs to her apartment, and you observed, it was the one just across yours. you waited until you knew which floor she was on. you knew it the moment the second unit of the third floor opened their lights, and it was the one directly in your direction. you laugh at the realization that she was the woman whom you were drawing the first night you were here.
“god, i can't believe she's still this stubborn.” you say to yourself as you keep smiling your way to your apartment. thank god you have a hundred papers for creating your blueprints, and you lay one out on your drawing table to write ‘give me my hoodie back!’ in big letters, enough for sana to see the next morning when she opens her windows.
days passed. you haven't been opening your window since she still isn't giving you back your hoodie.
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
“damn, it's dark in here,” momo laughs as she puts down her chinese takeout, seeing your apartment this dim in the afternoon. the only one with a light was your work table, which had most of your blueprints. “i know you hate overhead lighting but don't fuck your eyes up more.”
“yes, i know,” you sigh as you open the lights. “i'm just trying to cut down on the costs.”
“you own the damn building,” momo scoffed as she opened her box. “plus, you have more money than you think.”
“please don't get me to try weed again.” you joked as you also took a box, opening it to smell the most scrumptious chow fan you've ever smelled. “this is enough.”
“yeah, it's great, probably the greatest one around here,” momo smiles as she takes another bite of her food. “sana lives just right across from you then?”
you just nodded as you went to get some water from your fridge. “she just said fuck you.”
“i mean, she would,” momo joked. “but like, that's kinda asshole-y of her to just ignore you.”
“she ghosted me, of course she would ignore me,” you laughed. “no one gets friendly with people they've ghosted.”
“why didn't you like, pull her to you?” momo asked. “you know. like ones in dramas?”
“nothing would ever come out of it either.” you sighed. “plus, i didn't have the guts too. maybe i was so upset that i really just wanted my hoodie back. don't even try to sound me out. i know that you'll say you kissed mina the moment you reconcile. but she didn't ghost you!”
“okay, yes, that's right, but still.” momo holds you by the shoulders to calm you down. “get your girl back.”
“i can't,” you laughed. “i'm so busy that i didn't even remember that i got dumped. honestly, at how busy i am, i might even forget that she lives just right across from me. i haven't called her number, i haven't texted her for days. the last text i sent her was i told her that my detergent was still the same.”
“why the hell would she want to know that?” momo laughs.
“dunno,” you pouted. “she has my hoodie, might as well make it smell like me.”
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
“i fucking hate that she hasn't even changed one bit,” sana sobs as she confides in her friend's side. “it’s so annoying.”
sana remembers the way you screamed. the way you faked buying cigarettes and taking one stick that you immediately threw as she turned her back against you. the way you called her last name. the way your voice cracked in pain. the way you drew your note with a silly character. it annoys her that you keep on staying on her mind. she was supposed to forget you.
“i'm,” she sobs more, nursing a bottle of some alcohol she got offered with. “so annoyed that i still want her.”
“then get her back,” mina laughs as she hugs sana. “honestly, she'd understand it. like she always would.”
“i don't wanna hurt her anymore,” sana sobs as she takes another sip. “i never deserved her.”
“she pursued you back then,” mina remembered, rubbing her hand across sana's arm to calm her down. “what makes you think that you don't deserve her when she literally wanted you?”
“i just can't.”
“do you still want her?” mina asked.
“yes,” sana chuckles through her tears. “a little too much.”
“then pursue her,” mina whispered. “try to win her back.”
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
sana kept that in mind. that night, she wanted to go home by herself, and mina let her do so, even if she was too concerned. sana got too annoying and mina just dropped her off by the subway instead.
sana stops by the corner deli to try and see you.
you were at the deli to grab a little snack, and you opened the door to go outside but you almost hit someone, “shit, look where you're going!” your stuff fell to the ground and you heard the person chuckle.
“sorry,” you looked up at the person. “i shouldn't have.”
you realized it was sana. she wasn't standing upright, her outfit looked like it was chilly, and her eyes were almost closing. “sana,” you held her by the waist, trying to get her upright. you pull her close to you as she pulls you by the waist too, her head leaning to your neck. “goddamnit.”
“don't say that,” sana laughs against your skin. “but i get it though.” she slurred her speech. it was probably the copious amount of alcohol she consumed.
“i swear if you ever vomit on me i won’t meet you again.” you've seen it all. she vomited on you the first night you went out and she was too drunk. “i'm serious.”
“i know,” she whined as she hugged you again. “just take me home. i don't do that anymore, baby.”
“stop,” you tried to unclasp her from you, but her hold on you was tight. “i can't walk properly.”
“you do,” she looks down and sees that your steps were completely fine. how the hell is she still this conscious? “please.”
“we're gonna trip.” you chuckled. “get off of me first.”
she did get off of you, but she continued pouting, and you see her tears pooling around her lower eyelids.
“okay,” you took off your jacket and let her wear it, then you carried her with your arms, which took her by surprise and she immediately wrapped her arms around your neck. “don’t think that i'm still head over heels for you,” you warned. “i'm doing this because your feet are fucking swollen.” you were right. she was wearing those heels with such a steep form, and it was inches away from the ground too. you're surprised that she haven't even removed it yet.
she just nods, and her tears fall down. she can't believe that you're not mad. that you're not fuming. that you haven't even refused her yet. you don't hate her.
you take her to her apartment, lay her down on the couch, and you search for a glass to pour some water in. “here,” you handed it to her. “sober up.”
“thanks.” she smiles and wipes her tears.
“don't even,” you said. it hurts her to hear that you're almost monotonous. “where's my hoodie?”
“i’ll return it to you,” sana says as she rests her head on the couch, surrendering her whole drunk body in it. “it's in the wash basket. don't even bother to find it. i promise.”
it was an excuse for you to get her a blanket, which you got from her bed. you saw that her eyes were already closed, and you're even more surprised that she's actually already sleeping. you laid the blanket on her legs, and she pulled it up to consume her whole body with it.
you don't know why, but you watched her sleep. you watched if her eyes also tear up, or if she mumbles your name. you heard it and sana full on sobs, you saw at just how much her hand tightens around the edge of the blanket, how her breath heaved as she mumbled your name.
you don't understand. why does she seem more hurt than you? you're the one she left, and not the other way around. did that drunk curse work that well for her to miss you this much?
you find yourself crying. you just can't bear it so you left, but you didn't miss to tuck her hair behind her ear, and you didn't miss to wipe her tears by the tip of your thumb. you just couldn't bear seeing her this hurt.
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
sana grunts as she sits up from the couch, feeling her head throbbing against her skull. she was warm, having the jacket on and a blanket. she saw that she had water and hangover pills just on the table where her night lamp was placed. well, fuck.
she looks at her phone hurriedly, wanting to see if she got a new message or a new call from you. she opened her windows and saw a new note saying: drink your meds!
she forgot for a moment that you were there with her last night, that's why she has your black puffer jacket, and that there's a note on the table too. it was your number, and you wrote: “whenever you're ready.”
she just couldn't believe how calm you were. she just can't bring herself to admit that you don't hate her.
her eyes run a tear once more. she doesn't even know why she's this hurt. she chose to leave, didn't she?
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
sana conquered the fear of texting you first. but after telling that the number she texted with is her active number, you just left her on read.
her day passes by like that, looking at her phone every once in 30 minutes, staring at her phone the whole lunch break, and her heart races everytime she gets a notification, hoping that it was from you.
honestly, she doesn't know what she'd say to you. maybe you were busy, or maybe you just chose to ignore her to pay back what she did. (which, honestly, isn't that bad.)
she pouts, staring at the text. still on read.
sana: are you free this weekend?
she asks. in over a record time, you read it and you reply.
y/n: yeah, why?
sana: i was wishing if we could talk over dinner and hopefully i could give your jacket and hoodie back.
y/n: don't bother to return the hoodie.
sana: why?
y/n: i changed my mind. plus, you technically bought it and you just handed it to me as a gift, right?
sana: yes, but what about your jacket?
y/n: i have three of those. that one's already wearing off and it has holes anyways.
you were honest. you do have three of it in similar styles, sana knows of it, doesn't know why, and you don't even know why.
sana: but what about dinner?
y/n: i can cook 🙂
sana pouts, but she knows you're playing with her to get something out.
sana: please. let me treat you out.
y/n: you don't need to. why?
sana: yes, i don't need to, but i want to.
y/n: then?
sana: i’d talk with you.
y/n: aren't we technically talking now?
sana: look, i just want to spend time with you.
y/n: minatozaki, this is leading to nothing.
sana: please let me treat you out to dinner.
y/n: we're going in circles. why?
sana: i need you to hear me out.
y/n: okay.
sana: 6pm. pontios.
y/n: okay. anything else you need to say?
sana: your jacket doesn't have holes.
y/n: just keep it.
sana smiles. it was such a you thing to do, letting her get away with your jackets in her closet. it's the best thing that keeps her warm, wrapped around the similar woody vanilla scent of your perfume.
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
the weekend comes quickly, and you were so exhausted to finish checking and doing what seems like thousands of blueprints in a span of a day. you need to clear your schedule for saturday and sunday to finally get some rest. of course, to also finally meet sana.
it's the time where you'd actually find why she left. why she made you cry. why she moved to new york.
you sighed as you put on your best outfit, and went out just before 6pm. you went to the restaurant to see her already waiting for you in a table closed off from the windows, in a more intimate area of it. you looked around and saw the interior, and you guessed that it's sana's favourite. it had the same mid-century feel to it, but it was more of a diner, and it was very bright with the presence of fluorescent light bulbs.
“did you wait long?” you asked as you looked at your watch as you sat down on the sofa right in front of her.
“not at all,” she flashes you a tight lipped smile. “i arrived a couple of minutes ago.”
“good,” you said as the waiter makes their way to your table. “should we order now?”
“yeah, go on,” she says, handing you a menu. “pick anything you like.”
you just hummed and you flipped the menu to every page. apparently, it was an all day breakfast restaurant. most of the meals only consist of either coffee, pancakes, sausages, fried chicken, bacon, and eggs.
“i’d get the chicken platter, please,” you dictated. “plus a can of coke.”
“i’d get the same.” sana closes her menu as well and hands it over to the waiter with a smile.
“so,” you sighed as you adjusted yourself, leaning back on the cushions of your seat. “what am i even here for, minatozaki?”
“do you really want me to make it quick?” she sighs.
“i thought you were ready?” you scoffed.
“i know what to say, yes,” she said. her eyebrows were already meeting in the middle of her forehead slightly. “where do you want me to start?”
“where do you want to start?” you chuckled.
sana knew you were toying with her with your little repetitive questions. “since you wanna play that way,” sana sighs. “i left because i knew you were gonna propose to me.”
your jaw immediately drops to the floor the moment you heard her, but you tried to pull it back before flies could come in.
sana smiles at your reaction. “i didn't want to reject you, so i chose to leave instead. i thought there was nothing else i could do. it was either to reject you and break your heart like that; or break your heart by leaving and ghosting you.”
“okay,” you breathed and collected your thoughts. “why didn't you tell me that?”
“i'm not a party pooper, y/n,” she joked as the food arrived at your table already. “i didn't want to ruin your surprise either.”
“so you surprised me instead,” you joked, eating a slice from your pancakes. “nice one there, minatozaki.”
she sighs under her breath. it was hard for her to process just how much she hates being called by her last name from you. it used to be so sweet. now it's just plain, boring, and hurtful— like a dull knife piercing right through her stupid little heart.
“what i was trying to say,” you said as you gulped on the cola. “is that why didn't you tell me the day before? there was plenty of time for me to blow up my surprise.”
“yes, but it's your surprise,” she sighs as she takes a bite from her chicken. “it’s foolish if i find it out first when i am the one who'll take the surprise, right?”
you smiled at her, “yes, but what made you think that i’ll look at you and love you differently if you say no?”
“because you were so sure of it.” she says, looking at you right in the eyes. “you don't want your expectations to be broken, and that's the first thing i knew about you when we met. i just couldn't let it happen.”
“i just couldn't let myself see you cry because of me.” she sighs, interlocking her hands together as a relief. you see the tears pool around her eyes as she looks down on her untouched pair of fried chicken and waffles.
“okay.” you just took a bite out of your food once more, ignoring the overwhelming feeling in your chest. “is that all of it?”
she just nodded as she sniffled.
“eat up,” you smiled, quite foolishly and teasingly. “you said you wanted to take me out to dinner, right? it ain't fair if i'm the only one actually having dinner.”
sana chuckles to herself. this was how you usually are, trying to ignore the feelings that come from everything.
“but you made me cry still,” you laughed to yourself as you spoke. “you made me drink, you made me lonely, you made me coop myself up at home when i should be celebrating my birthday, made me think so much where did i go wrong when i remembered that i kissed you to sleep. you made me question everything i did from the start, sana. and at some point, you even made me doubt you.”
you're quite surprised that you're not shedding a single tear. maybe it was the relief of getting the point across to the person that you really want to talk with, and getting the answers you wanted for such a long time.
sana realized that you're awfully kind. it hurts for her to hear that there are nights you spent drinking on your own, thinking about what you could have done to get her back.
you hand her your handkerchief, but you can't bring yourself to dry her tears just yet.
she gladly takes it, and she smiles, finally calming down from the heavy feeling. it soothes her that you never lost yourself, even if she left you clueless.
“i'm sorry, y/n.” sana sighed deeply as she wiped her tears down with the soft cotton of your hanky.
you then chuckled again, “what for? are you leaving me again?”
“no,” sana pouts. “i'm just sorry for everything that hap-”
“it's all in the past,” you smiled again. sana missed seeing that, but she felt that something was lacking. “and your food is getting cold.”
“oh, right,” sana then picks up her cutlery and gets into action. she must've been hungry too. “why are you in new york, though?”
“do you want a stupid answer or a good answer?”
“both.”
“i'm tired of finding girls in seoul,” you joked. “and my, supposed to be, our apartment was rotting so i had to stay. plus, i got a two year contract for building a 35-storey office in manhattan. although it's technically a refurbishment project, since it has so many floors it'll probably take some time.”
“oh, that's why…” she then ate away what she was about to say. she knows you were joking from your first statement, but she can't help but think about it.
“i was too busy finishing my job before i can even party, don't worry about that,” you said. “anyways, why new york though?”
“no one knows me here,” sana says as she chews on her syrup drizzled waffles. “although, i did meet an old friend, no one knows me here.”
“hm, okay,” you just nodded. “and the old friend?”
“mina.” she smiles.
“wait, sorry? mina?”
“yeah!” she says, quite amused at the situation. “i think i told you before that i had a friend that went to the states and grew up here too.”
“hm, yeah you did,” you muffled as you were still eating. “do you know her girlfriend? momo?”
“yeah,” sana nodded. “wait. you know momo?”
you just nodded. “she's a friend from college who moved here immediately after getting a good hire from a famous firm.”
“oh, so you know momo.” she laughed to herself. she just can't believe how small the world is, and she ends up always having to meet you. it just seems to her that you'll always find her.
“do you have like,” you looked at her again as you took a sip from the cola. “a job?”
“oh, yeah,” she smiles. “i work at a company and it's just in soho,” she explains. “what about you?”
“i'm in midtown manhattan,” you said. “it's quite terrifying to get lost in the subways, though.”
“you still work late?”
you just nodded, “of course. i can't avoid it.”
“hm,” sana thinks. you work late. you rarely open the windows. you work at the most exhausting part of new york. she clears her throat. “um, do you have a, like…” she hesitates. it's quite the dumb question to ask if you ghosted someone. “girlfriend or a fling?”
“honestly?” you asked in a sharp tone that gets to her ears so well it makes her heart go faster. “i would love to.” you teased. “but, i'm too busy with work, still very stuck up with this one person and that one person happens to be just in front of me.”
sana just watched you eat away the final bites from your food as you smiled to yourself. she just can't figure it out. you were straightforward back then, and it's the same case up until now.
“what if i'm not here?”
“i'm still going to be very busy though,” you said. “so my thoughts really can't escape beyond what i do for work, and you.”
sana, unbelievably so, blushed. “oh.”
“it's kinda scary and amusing, actually,” you said, reflecting on the past few days, weeks, and months. “it's like i'm just thinking of you. when i'm not thinking about how i’d do my work and evaluate my team’s work, i think about if you already had lunch, or if you got late at work, or if you had your morning coffee— you know, trivial stuff like that which i usually ask you.”
“really?” she then beams, the situation making her overly happy. “i, um,” she calms herself down and breathes deep before saying, “think of that too. if you're pissed off because you don't have the right pencil to draw with, or if you got your favorite coffee, what did you eat for breakfast, what do you wanna eat for lunch… stuff like that fills my mind all the time.”
you just nodded. you don't know what to feel about it. you don't even know what to feel about anything that's happening right now. it seems like you really needed her in front of you to explain what she did, but a part of you thinks that this isn't enough. a part of you was still doubtful of it, but a part of you wants to just engulf her in your hug, knowing just how much she hid from you.
she had every right to be scared. you just don't know how she had the heart to leave.
“when i left,” sana sits back on the couch again, sighing deeply. “i don't want you to pity me or anything, honestly i want you to be super angry at me,” she joked. “i hesitated. i didn't like imagining how you'd lose yourself, get drunk, find another girl,” she emits a weary breath. “but then, i flew here and lived by myself as i promised, ignored your calls, your texts— just to find myself still listening to your voice at night, looking at the photos of us to relive those moments that i had with you. i was so stupid.”
“you are,” you said. “but i can't be mad at you.”
“why?”
“i just can't deny the fact that i have a lot of love in my heart for you that it consumes any other feeling that i have in me,” you explained. “i’m fine with it now since you admitted to yourself. i'm sorry too if i got too ahead, sana.”
“you don't need to be.” she smiles. “you were just expecting the obvious.”
“why did you get scared of it, though?”
“i know that you'll treat me right, but there are so many doubts that i had,” she pondered. “but it's mostly on my part. i didn't like seeing myself not being able to commit to you. i hated that at some point, i’ll be the one to leave, so i left before anything worse can happen.”
“okay,” you sighed. “what do you wanna do now?”
sana softly laughs, “ah, well,” she looks down on her food again. “i honestly want to win you back.”
“i'm not a trophy, sana,” you joked. “but then, if that's what you want,” you looked at her, that feeling of spark rising within you as she let her honey brown eyes meet yours. “i’d let you do it. it's not going to be easy though.”
“i know,” sana murmured. “and i'm gonna try my very best.”
you laughed, seeing the determination that rises in her— cheeks flushed, eyes sparkly, just like how you remembered her. “good luck.”
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
that night was the first time you slept well without alcohol, and sana, as you saw from across the window, slept on the couch comfortably as she watched her favorite tv show. (you bet that she finished the series already, and that she's only rewatching it.)
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
the morning comes and someone comes knocking at your door, calling your full government name like you're getting arrested for tax fraud.
“yeah, wait,” you rub your eyes, trying to get all the morning dust out of the way. you opened to see sana, smiling like she was the sun. “oh, hi.”
“hello,” she sing-songed. “i just wanted to drop by,” she handed you over a bag. you wondered, one of your eyebrows lifting as you held it. “breakfast. your favorite,” she chuckled as she pats down the stray hair from your sleep. “eat well.”
“nice,” you chuckled, prying the bag open. “have you eaten already?”
“uh, yeah,” she said, nervously palming the back of her neck. “i'm about to go now, actually.”
“are you sure? this is a lot,” you smiled, seeing the big container of your favorite breakfast. “you know i don't eat that much.”
“you know what,” sana laughs. “just tell me if you wanna eat with me.”
“i have extra plates, come on,” you respond, letting her in your apartment. she was resisting at first, stepping away from the door, but then, you showed her the best puppy eyes that she'll always fall for, and she's trapped when you said, “please.”
“okay,” she smiles and comes inside your apartment, leaving her shoes by the step before going in. “looks warm here.”
“hm,” you nodded, taking out the big container out of the bag. “you really cooked, huh.” you saw that it really was your favourite breakfast, one with fried rice, eggs, and spam. it was a simple meal you always shared with her in your apartment before you went to work.
you move to pull out a chair for her, and you get the cutlery from your kitchen. “do you want coffee?”
“yeah, that'll be nice,” she smiles. she doesn't know how weird it feels how you easily go into the routine that you had when you two were still together. it was always like this, your back facing her as you were busy in the kitchen, making sure that her breakfast is great, and that she'll start her day as great as possible. “can i have it i-”
“iced, three pumps of cream, and vanilla.” you recite as you run your espresso machine. “i still don't know how you like your coffee so sweet.”
“well, thanks for remembering that,” sana laughs, glad to know that you still question the amount of sugar to coffee ratio on her drink. “how about you? still a shot of espresso, a pump of creamer, and iced?”
you nodded, funnily so. you didn't expect that you've spent that much time with sana that she knows you, down to your littlest, mundane, and absurd routines.
you smiled at her as you made way to the table, sitting across her like you usually do. for a while, you forget that sana ghosted you for months.
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
to say that you were sana's love of her life was an understatement. seeing you again, like this, eating your favorite breakfast after not reaching out to you for months makes her throat and eyes burn. it's ridiculous of her to let you live alone, to let you be deprived of her love.
it continues, you two fall back into a simple routine.
sana spends the mornings with breakfast she makes at the crack of dawn and you two share, you fix yourself as sana waits, and you get unexpectedly early at your office.
during the afternoons, you have coffee that she bought in hand, something she's been weirdly doing every now and then, even dropping by to your office. during the night, she fetches you, saying that: “it's gonna be a waste of energy if you go home by the subway, we're literally living across each other.”
occasionally, and during the weekends, sana, if time permits, takes you to restaurants, bars, or parks to ease your mind. new york was huge, and you're surprised she knows it down to a t, and to it's hidden spots.
──⋆⋅🗽⋅⋆──
she knows that the schedule of yours was very hectic. she dreads that more as you spend less time with her, since recently as you held the ground-breaking for the site.
“it was a mini project that they didn't tell me about,” you munched on the churros she bought you before you sat down on one of the steps facing the vast, winding hudson river. “and you know, it made me much busier than i am.”
“you need a raise,” sana laughs. “and 20 leaves.”
“they're giving me a raise,” you laugh as well, finally easing up. “so yeah, but i still became more busy.”
sana sighs as she stares off at the sight. the skyline of new york fades away as the sun starts to set, and the lights of the buildings slowly turn on.
it was a moment. it reminded you that you needed time, whether productive or not.
you just needed time.
“sana,” you then looked at her. “what do you think about coming back together?”
“what do you mean?” sana nervously laughs. she didn't expect for you to say it sooner. it's only been two months since you started reconciling.
“us,” your eyes stared at her honey brown ones like they're the only things you've ever known. “look, i just-”
“i realized that i can’t go a day without you,” you sighed in relief as you then held both of her hands, saying your truth. “i figured that i was thinking too ahead, and i didn't give you time and i ruined that for us. i'm sorry-”
sana then pulls you into a warm, loving hug, “you don't need to be. i'm the one who left, right?”
“yeah, bu-”
“i'm the one who left,” she repeats, trying to sink those words into your head. “and i think i'm not trying my best getting you back just yet.”
“but you are,” you whispered. “i just want you to call me yours again, please.”
“god,” sana lowly chuckled as she ran a hand behind your back, comforting you. “you don't know how much i've been waiting for this, my love.”
you sinked your head into her neck, trying to suppress your feelings as you heard that one phrase you've wanted to hear from her for months. “i love you.”
“i love you too,” sana then kisses your forehead gently as you close your eyes, savoring this little moment in time with her. “i hope i could prove that every day.”
“you don't need to,” you held her hand again and kissed it. “just stay by my side. it'll be enough.”
sana held your cheek with her hand, soft against the surface of it, as she brushed her thumb below your eyelid, something she always does like a little habit. “okay,” she comes closer to meet her forehead with yours, and locks your lips as you two share a longing, electrifying kiss. she smiles, lips inward as you pull away. “i waited for that, too.”
“well, that's just fair.” you then held her hand as she wrapped her arm on your shoulders, letting you lean onto her. you two stared off at the view, just admiring the warmth of the sunset before it gets cold during the night.
“and i’ll always wait,” sana whispered. “i won't get tired.”
you then smiled, now holding the hand that was on your shoulder as you stared off the river in a comforting silence. “as long as you're with me,” you then looked at her. “i won't mind taking time and waiting.”

Back at Yan! Bishop vs Yan! Preacher agenda (GN)
CW: Somnophilia, tentacles (Eldritch horror), asphyxiation
Yan! Preacher who is just a walking menace, he is much more of a demon than a man of holy scriptures, always teaching you entirely false things.
Yan! Preacher who won't hesitate to pull Yan! Bishop's leg for shits and giggles, a hand that lingers on you longer than intended, a lip that is so threateningly close to yours, and a knee pressed down on your crotch by the church altar.
Yan! Bishop who is almost always fuming in anger whenever such indecencies are shown, chiding hands and lips get close to you as he yanks you close to him instead. Despite the vein that popped out of his skin, he could never get angry with you.
Yan! Preacher who enjoys the little cat and mouse game thoroughly with both you and him, ready to end the game whenever he feels so.
Yan! Bishop who will resort to restricting you from meeting the preacher, even going as far as installing locks on your bedroom.
Yan! Bishop who loves you dearly to the point he’s ready to burn the full ache he gets from looking at you sticking around the Preacher, so much that forbidden magic is imbued on the locks.
"Quite the nice locks there, huh? These would burn if I ever lay my fingers on it, no?"
"Then I suggest you not try your hand on it or them lest I decide to burn you myself."
Noel frowned at the way Caelus leaned onto the door to your bedroom casually, as though challenging him to do so. As much as the locks would burn him, it would only amount to tripping him but never making him fall.
At that statement, the bishop raised one of his eyebrows, "Pardon?"
"Done locking it? If so, I think it's time for you to scram."
"The same can be said of you, what are you waiting for?"
"The same as you."
The golden-eyed man flashed him a toothy grin that reached his eyes, "Think I'd never catch your tail? How many times have you worshipped them to the point you copulate with them?"
Noel twitched at his remarks. As though he was remarked to be a mutt in heat, he could also not deny the fact that he had done something unpardonable.
Caelus rounded his way toward Noel and gave his shoulder a squeezing pat, "I'd also rather not sit idly waiting for you to leave just to get my fair share of play."
With a flick of a wrist, the Preacher's finger was imbued with a glowing magic that allowed him to break the locks. Caelus nodded in gratitude for the undoing, "But when it comes to exorcising, I suppose having a lending hand won't hurt."
"Your point is?"
The Preacher smiled at his words, "I'd say we enjoy this together, I won't do anything with your little adoration game to my doll though I must say, sharing is never my forte..."
It felt vivid. Within your dreamscape, you could feel something rocking you yet in an oddly pleasurable way. Ghost of fingers and tongues that felt your skin to a dull ache between your legs.
"Didn't I tell you to not fuck like a bitch in heat?" Noel chided the other, failing to keep his wording proper when his cock was snuggled deep inside your mouth, tip twitching just from the rumble of your throat when Caelus managed to hit the right spot.
"Shut it, fraud." Caelus hissed in gritted teeth as he angled you to take his cock even deeper, "𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴, can't you hear those little whimpers they make for me?"
As much as he'd like to give his fair face a punch, Noel couldn't help but acknowledge the fact that you two were never an item. But so were you and Caelus!
"Then I have the right to say the same too." Noel's eyes fell on your sex, his fingers trailed from your navel to it, feeling the warmth it emitted before working on it, earning yet another whimper from you that made him jerk his hips unwillingly.
"Ooh~? Pretty boy is having a hard time?"
"Shut it-" Noel clasped his mouth with the back of his hand, his hips snapping backward and forward, chasing his own climax albeit gently in a sense. Just as the Bishop's mind was clouded in lust, his red orbs focused on your face, the Preacher took his chance to manipulate your dream into a picture of reality.
"Hm..." His hand traveled to your neck, holding the rosary tightly for a moment before snapping his hips hard and fast.
Caelus couldn't manipulate it even just for a 1/3, let alone entirely. It was not a pleasant fact knowing that he wasn't in charge of the situation alas he could only unravel his displeasure into you.
His finger grazed the rosary as he muttered out a spell, his other hand rested on Noel's back before imbuing it with magic, pushing Noel toward you abruptly.
"Hkh-! What in the world are you-" Just before Noel could elbow him, the rosary tightened around your neck, causing you to groan and sending a wave of pleasure toward Noel's cock that was nuzzled deep in your throat now.
Noel's eyes were trained to the ominous threat yet his mind just could not stop causing him to rut into you, desperate for a release. And release did he have it, the idea of it trickling down through your trachea in ease made him shiver.
"Wh-what? Shit, can't pull it out."
"Hm? I never knew the Bishop enjoys molesting his followers like this, bruising their throat and getting off from it." The Preacher snarked at him, his pace remained steady as shadows of tentacles glowered into an image.
The rosary fell loose, allowing Noel to pull out and adore the mess he had done. His finger went to wipe the stain he left before he gave your lip a soft kiss, causing the other entity to roll his eyes.
"How uncivilized."
"More like you're the uncivilized one here with how foul your methods are..."
"I'm not a mirror you know."
"Done being lovey dovey? If so, you ought to scram, I need space."
Noel raised one of his eyebrows before he saw the shadow again. Numerous tentacles appeared out of the shadow and folded you into a mating press, ankles placed by your ears.
"You-!" Noel's hand was swung into motion as he tried to imbue it with magic yet nothing would come out, causing Caelus to chortle at his attempt.
"You are doing great in controlling their dream but that's just as far as you can go. Abuse more power and you might just set yourself on fire instead." As much as Noel was capable of doing so, he knew that he was not on the same level when it came down to magic with Caelus.
𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘢 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘩 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭.
Caelus hummed out an ancient lullaby you had always enjoyed hearing him sing, his rutting rocking you back and forth like a baby in a cradle being rocked back and forth.
The tentacle threatened itself into your mouth, the suckers feeling your tongue before it entered deeper, and the other gave your neck a squeeze that was barely below crashing your windpipe.
Whimpers, or should Noel noted, choked sobs slipped past your filled mouth, and a single tear fell out of your heavily lidded eyes. Noel knelt down and his tongue went to lick it upward, savoring the saltiness before peppering your face with kisses as he hushed you down, his hand clasped against yours.
"You are doing great, shh... good... good..."
At the sight of your hand clasped with Noel's, Caelus's eyes flickered in disdain yet he held back his comment, lip turning downward and his pace started to turn into a bruising one, uncaring of whether you were pleasured or not.
If he could snap you out of your dream, he would. That way, just perhaps you would freak out and let go of Noel's hand, gripping the bedsheet tightly looked better if you were hesitant in holding his hand or tentacle.
The tentacles squeezed themselves harder against your neck, causing more tears to slip out and louder sobs to fall out. It did not bother Caelus in the slightest for he knew,
𝘛𝘩𝘦 '𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘦' 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.
A flash of you passed through his mind, snapping him out of his trance, and he bit his lip to the point it bled, his seed nestled deep inside you as his hip halted in place.
The tentacles retreated as he pulled himself out, and your body laid back properly as a dribble of cum leaked out of your abused hole. Noel's hand was still clasping yours as his now gleaming turquoise eyes locked with Caelus' golden orbs.
Two glowing eyes stared at each other in disdain, ready to strangle each other.
"Keep looking at me like that and I'll have you sent to Carcosa."
"And keep sticking around them and I'll have you burnt, monster."
You woke up to the birds chirping, opening your eyes as you adjusted your eyes to the light. You tried to sit up only to feel a dull ache in your hip. Weirded out, you slipped your feet into your slippers only to feel ached on your ankles,
"Wha-" You clasped your throat, it hurt when you tried to speak and your voice was hoarse.
Just what in the world had happened during your sleep? Setting worries aside, you were certain that both Noel and Caelus would have the answer for it.
Author’s Note:
Carcosa is a fictional city in Ambrose Bierce's short story "An Inhabitant of Carcosa" (1886)
While writing this, I have to make @thescribeoflostmemories helps me around with Caelus [one, because Caelus is half inspired by one of his OC so she knows his way around lol (also to not OOC his OC painfully <3)]

It was around 11:00pm as you struggled to find your passport.
"I could've sworn it was on my desk yesterday," you thought to yourself, searching through your messy bedroom.
After your morning cafe date with Riki, he dropped you off at your apartment so you could get started with packing as soon as possible, given that your flight was booked for take off the next day.
You're still not sure why you said yes to Riki's impulsive offer, though, part of you wanted to believe that saying "no" would've been an even riskier call.
Riki, in all of his handsome glory, had been a menace to your soul. You just couldn't put a finger on what is was about him that kept luring you in almost magnetically.
Ding, dong.
Your breath hitched at the sound of someone knocking outside your apartment door. Grabbing the purple ink pen from your dresser, conveniently sitting next to your diary, you gripped it like a weapon as you approached the door cautiously.
Knock, knock, knock.
Unlocking the latch and twisting the handle, you slung the door open to reveal none other than Riki, standing calmly with grocery bags in each hand.
"Good night! And yes, that can be a greeting… What's the pen for?" He shrugged, walking past you and straight into your apartment as if owning the place.
You flashed him an annoyed look before closing the door behind him, suddenly feeling embarrassed while dressed in your pjs.
"It's for self defense, night stalker. And how'd you even know where I live?" You asked accusingly.
"I drove you here earlier after the cafe, remember?" He said while placing the grocery bags on your study desk to unload the items.
Damn, you thought to yourself, It must be wayyy past my bedtime...
"Anyways, I brought you this neck pillow-thingy for the plane," Riki smiled, walking up to you and fastening the pillow around your neck, "Pretty cool, right?"
"Uhhh, sure," you mumbled, standing awkwardly as he welcomed himself to explore your bedroom.
"So...," he began with a grin, "this is where you keep your pretty little panties, huh?" Running a finger over the surface of your dresser, he stopped once he met your oh-so familiar diary.
"Hmm. I remember this little guy. How many pages have you written about me so far? My guess is at least 3."
"Jokes on you, Riki. I don't reminisce about people I haven't even known for a week," you said with a sigh, plopping on your bed, too tired to retaliate physically.
He parts his lips as if wanting to say something, but nothing came out. He only walked over to your bed, taking a seat beside you.
"Look, ____. If you wanna back out of this trip, it's not too late. I understand that this is a pretty big thing I'm asking of you."
"No, Riki, I really do wanna go. It's just that I lost my passport somewhere in this stupid apartment and now I can't find it," you pouted before suddenly feeling his weight escape your side.
He paced around your room as if an internal GPS was guiding him in the right direction.
"What're you doing?" You giggled, watching as he picked up a random toilet paper tube to use as a searching tool.
"Shh, I think I see it!" He whispered, reaching for a navy blue and gold envelope from under one of your shoe boxes, "Voici!"
You gazed in shock, not only at his use of French, but also at how he actually managed to find it, let alone that quickly.
"Holy shit, Riki! You're a lifesaver!" You beamed, running to give him a bear hug.
"I bet you've been dying to do that since I came in," he teased, trying to conceal his own blushing.
You were losing track of how many times he flirted with you in the past five minutes, but you were just glad that he found your passport in time.
All there was left to do now after packing was explain to your best friend Hanni where you'd be for the next 2-3 days.
Tumblr media
The following morning came by quicker than you already expected it to.
Fortunately, y'all arrived at the airport just in time for boarding, going to your respectful seats on the aircraft according to your ticket numbers.
And finally, it was time for takeoff.
You and Riki hadn't even been on the plane for thirty minutes before you started bumping heads with each other.
“How come you get to sit by the window? You’re not even taking pictures,” You scolded him, crossing your arms in frustration.
“You see? That’s the problem with this generation. Always seeking technology to bring them happiness," He said, shaking his head.
“Riki, we’re literally depending on technology to carry us cross country. Welcome to our advanced society.”
“That’s not even a fair comparison, but go off.”
You scoffed, “Don’t ‘but go off’ me!”
“Or what?” He challenged, flashing you a smirk that made you internally curse him for being so effortlessly attractive.
“I said, or what?” He continued, putting an arm around the head of your seat and pulling your face towards his by your chin.
The way he peered into your eyes made you feel like kissing h—
OH GOD, NO! NOT AT ALL! NEVER, you thought to yourself.
He licked his lower lip, making you stutter as you answered, “O-or I’ll… I’ll tell your mom on you!”
He snorted at your empty threat, “Yeah, good luck with that. She doesn’t speak English for shit.”
“Well, whatever, I’ll just use google translate,” you snapped back.
“Oh, so you think fast?”
“Only when I-“
He interrupted your words with a kiss to your forehead, “Not fast enough, apparently,” he winked, sitting back in his seat.
Oh boy. This trip is already kicking off to an interesting start.
You sat frozen as if he’d just snatched your soul away, focusing on the moisture his lips left on your skin.
“And don’t even think about wiping that off,” he smirked, searching through his carrier bag before pulling out a pair of wired headphones.
You weren't gonna let him win that easily.
Exhaling your nerves, you thought of something catty to say back to him/
“Now look who’s a product of our e-generation, Mr. iPad Kid. Let me guess, is it time for Cocomelon?” You pouted facetiously, trying to conceal your nervousness from whatever the hell possessed him to kiss you.
“I’m just tired of hearing the air conditioner," he shrugged, "Sue me.”
Riki plugged the headphones into his phone port, opening the Spotify app (not sponsored lol) on his phone and selecting a random playlist. “Wanna listen?” He asked softly, meeting you with his dark brown eyes.
You took the left earbud from his hand, positioning it into your own ear as the sounds of lofi rhythms met your ears. After a few minutes, you drifted off to sleep, not even realizing that you were laying on his shoulder.
Riki eventually followed after you, leaning his head atop yours as he snored softly. Though, he’d likely never tell you that part of the story once you woke up.
A couple more hours in the plane passed, and you were officially landing at your final destination: Paris, France.
“I'm sorry, you’re WHERE? With WHO?!?!” Hanni yelled over the phone.
You didn’t mean to make it seem like you'd been keeping this big secret from her, but you simply never got around to telling her... that you were impulsivey traveling across country with a guy you met at the airport last week.
“Look, it’s only for a few days, I’ll be fine,” you replied, unpacking your luggage on the hotel room bed.
Riki was busy getting you an extra key card for the room, so you didn’t have to worry about him barging in on your conversation for a while.
“Tell me. Why did you think this was a good idea, ____. Honestly? Hell, did you even think before saying yes?”
“Of course I did, Hanni… but if you’re just gonna keep scolding me, I’d rather we talk about something else,” you whined, hating the way she started to make you feel.
"Ugh, I’m sorry, bestie! Please don’t misinterpret my concern for cruelty.”
“It’s okay, Hanni, I know you're just looking out for me... but, maybe this was a bad idea.”
“Omg, naur!! Forget I said anything! I want you to enjoy yourself in Paris! Just call me if you need anything, alright?…unless it’s love advice or—”
“Money, I know. Talk to you later, pigtails!”
“Later,” she giggled, ending the call with a ‘mwah’ from her end. You placed your phone down on the mattress, flinching at the sight of Riki walking out of the bathroom, tossing the extra key card on the bed.
“What the- I thought you were in the lobby?”
“Yeah, but I came back up not too long ago. Don’t worry, I didn’t eavesdrop… the entire time,” he teased, running a hand through his hair as he observed your luggage. “I hope you have a pretty outfit in there.”
“Mhm, and why’s that?”
“Because, we’re going out to dinner, silly,” he said, pulling out an ironing board from the closet to press his wrinkled pants.
Tumblr media
You didn't expect for Riki to wanna go out so soon after just arriving.
Either way, you tried on a few outfits before finally choosing the beret and plaid pink skirt-suit you usually wore during business meetings, which ironically fit the chic Parisian aesthetic.
“Bonjour, and welcome to Le Goût! Do you need help navigating the menu or are you familiar with French dishes?” The waitress asked in a friendly accent.
“We actually already spoke to one of your waiters. He’s putting in our order right now,” Riki replied, handing her one of the extra menus from your table.
“Very well, then. I’ll pop back around once you’re ready to order dessert. Call for Ines if you need anything else,” she smiled, walking away.
You swirled the ice cubes in your glass, just as your previous waiter came out with your food.
“Velvety Escargots Bourguignonne for the gentleman, and Chicken Fricassee for the lady,” he said, placing down your plates and walking away.
Riki stared at his plate with disgust in his eyes.
“What’s wrong?” You asked, folding a napkin over your lap to catch any spills or crumbs as you ate.
“Uhmmm, I didn’t order snails…,” he cringed, poking at the shelled creatures on his plate with a fork.
“You literally looked at the menu and told the waiter that’s what you wanted. I thought you spoke French!”
“I do, but that doesn’t mean I can read it,” he replied.
“What did you think ‘escargot bourguignonne’ meant anyways?”
“Dunno, sounds like a pasta dish to me.”
“Well… do you wanna trade plates?” You offered, not wanting to come off as silly foreigners for misreading the menu.
“Pfft, of course not, I’m getting my money back! Ines! Excusez-moi, madame Ines?!”
You reached for Riki’s hand, trying to redirect his attention, “Riki, please, let’s just enjoy our food. Paris is a culinary landmark, I’m sure we’ll run into some better places after this,” you pleaded, swapping the plates on the table.
He let out a sigh, unrolling his napkin and placing it on his lap as well, “Fine. Bon appétit and what not.”
After finishing up in Le Goût, you and Riki took a walk from the restaurant, exploring the streets of France.
You weren’t too worried about getting lost, because Riki hired a personal chauffeur to guide you two through the city if needed..
He hadn’t realized how much farther ahead of you he was walking until you grabbed onto his hand.
“Oh, so we’re making it a public thing, I see?” He winked, pulling you closer to him.
“No, you just walk fast as hell and I can’t keep up with your legs,” you corrected, giving him a look.
“Mhm, whatever you say, ____.”
That’s when you two stumbled upon a group of people, waiting at the edge of a dock to be boarded on for a boat ride.
“Please don’t say you’re afraid of water,” Riki looked at you with hopeful eyes.
You weren’t too fond of potentially getting your cute outfit soiled, but with the way Riki peered into your eyes, it was hard to say no... again.
“Okay, let’s go,” you smiled, following behind him as he led you by the hand.
It didn’t take long for the officials to load you and Riki on the raft, as he opted for the cheaper version that gave him control to row the boat.
You watched as he paddled across the Seine River with childlike glee, observing the antique buildings surrounding the Eiffel Tower.
If it wasn’t for the cool breeze pulling you back to reality, you would’ve believed you were dreaming at how beautiful the scenery was.
How beautiful this moment with Riki was—
Ugh, never mind, it’s probably the snails affecting the chemicals in your brain.
“This is incredible,” Riki exclaimed, his arms rotating at a constant circle as he maneuvered the boat paddles, soaking up the Parisian sun.
“Like how incredible it is that despite your amateurish being, you can somehow pull everything off,” you smirked, nudging his knee with your shoe.
“Amateurish being? I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve that you haven’t even seen yet, ____. Trust, biologically, I was BUILT to pull everything off.”
“Right, so what happened with those snails earlier?”
“Gosh, are you seriously bringing that up right now?”
“Yes, I am seriously, deadass, on God, for real am bringing this up.”
He tried to hide the smile that dared to show on his face at the way you mocked his previous use of slang.
“Don’t get shy now, Riki. I can see you blushing.”
He quirked an eyebrow at you, clicking his teeth with his tongue before throwing the paddles into the river.
“RIKI!”
“Whoops! Looks like my bashful little fingers slipped,” he giggled, not being able to contain his laughter from the shocked expression on your face.
“Guess we’re gonna have to swim back. Come on,” he beamed, talking off his turtleneck before diving into the lake, water splashing all over your lap.
“Oh my God, Riki, you’re such an imbecile!”
“And you’re such a baby! Now come on, the water feels great, I promise!”
You watched as the water rippled around his movements.
You couldn't see anything below the dark blue river, making you feel anxious about actually jumping in.
“W-w-what if there are alligators hiding in there?”
“Pfft,” he scoffed, “French alligators? I mean, if I’m still swimming, they must have a pretty low appetite… unless… they prefer breast meat,” he winked, treading in the water.
“Gosh, you’re such a weirdo,” you whined, watching as he made his way over to the other side of the lake, marching up the rocky land.
He shook his head like a puppy, trying to get rid of the access water in his hair.
You looked away from him shyly, trying not to peek at how the white t-shirt he wore clung to his toned abs.
“Are you coming over here today, or what?” He teased, putting his hands on his hips.
You took a deep breath and closed your eyes, leveling your nerves before jumping in the water, leaving your favorite beret behind in the now abandoned boat.
So much for being peaceable foreigners.
After making it to Riki, which wasn’t nearly as daunting as you expected, he applauded your performance. “Brava, ____! Brava!! You successfully swam across a 30ft deep river!”
“30?!” you shivered in disbelief, thankful that he shared the rivers depth with you after you already got across.
“Relax, ____, that’s like a kiddy pool. Anyways, let’s get back to the hotel before we get sick,” he said as the chilly winds hit both your wet bodies.
Under any other ordinary circumstances, you probably would’ve beaten the hell out of Riki for being so careless.
But it was something about the Parisian air that made you care less.
Tumblr media
Riki phoned the chauffeur to bring you back to the resort, where he arranged a spa evening for you to be professionally pampered by French beauticians.
Meanwhile, he went to shower in the hotel room, saying that he’d meet you back at the spa when you were finished.
One of the hairdressers gave you a blow out and quick trim just to clean up your ends.
Then, conveniently after your finger nail polish finished drying, your phone beeped with a message from Hanni.
Tumblr media
Riki tapped you on the shoulder, the scent of his sweet citrus cologne hitting your senses.
“You ready?” He asked, picking up one of the matcha macarons the spa staff gave you.
“Ready for what?”
“To eat. I know you’ve gotten all pretty, but I think it’s best we stay in since it’s dark out now.”
Did he just call you pretty?!?!
“Okay, we can hit up the French market and maybe make something for dinner," you suggested.
“Oh my gosh, great idea! We could make my mom’s gyoza recipe!”
“Oh, did she make the ones you let me try at the airport that day, too?”
“I can’t believe you still remember that," he said in shock.
“Well yeah, that was only a few days ago…”
“Hmm. I guess you just don’t seem like a stranger to me anymore,” He smiled, grabbing your hand and leading you from the resort spa.
Tumblr media
After shopping at the market, where the prices were surprisingly affordable, you and Riki headed back to your hotel room to unpack the groceries.
“I hope you’re good at cooking,” Riki chimed, grabbing a large bowl to fill with all the French snacks you brought from the store.
“Why, exactly?”
“Because, I’m mostly gonna watch while you keep me entertained, Chef ____.”
You rolled your eyes at his words, grabbing a knife and chopping board as you started prepping the ingredients you’d need.
“Does ‘tsp’ mean tablespoon or teaspoon?” You asked, struggling to interpret his Mom’s recipe instructions.
“All I know is big spoon and little spoon,” he smirked, leaning closer over the counter.
You brushed off his flirting as you kept trying to figure out the recipe. That’s when Riki grabbed a handful of fondue flavored chips from the snack bowl, crunching them between his teeth.
“Gosh, would you stop chewing so freaking loud? I can’t think!”
“It’s not my fault you’re a babo,” he teased, poking you on the nose.
“Bet you can’t say that in French.”
“Pfft, why would I need to?”
“Because you said you speak French?”
“For the last time, I do! I’m just not a dictionary.”
“Sounds like another lame excuse, but whatever. Pass me the sesame oil… Oh, and one of those chips!”
Making the gyoza wasn’t nearly as hard as you anticipated. Though, your main struggle came with capturing the authentic flavors.
After steaming the doughy purses and tossing them in a dark chili sauce, you plated a few for Riki to try, even though you both were already stuffed from the snacks alone.
“Ugh, can you at least try them while they’re fresh?” You whined, bringing one of the saucy gyozas to Riki’s mouth with a pair of chopsticks.
He complied with a sigh, parting his lips as he hummed.
“What do you think?”
“Well, they don’t taste like my mom’s, but they’re not horrible. I’ll give it a 4/10.”
“Huh?!”
“Well, I didn’t expect you to do better than her, or even come close, so don’t feel too bad about it.”
You pouted, wrapping the remaining dumplings in plastic wrap before placing them in the hotel fridge.
“Alright, let’s freshen up and head to bed,” he suggested, wiping the kitchen counter and heading to the bathroom to wash up.
You went in after he finished, changing into your pajamas and meeting him on the kingsized bed.
“Ahh... I love Paris,” he smiled, adjusting his head on the pillow.
“Yeah. Me too, but why?”
“Because, the next time I visit, I’ll be reminded of you.”
“Aww, how cheesy,” you smiled, returning a poke to his nose.
“No, I’m serious. I’ve never had this much fun with someone before.”
“But we’ve been arguing the entire time.”
“I know, but… that’s just our way of…”
“Flirting?”
He blushed at your words, “Yea. Our way of flirting.”
You felt your own face heat up in the moment, fighting the urge to scoot closer to him on the mattress.
“So,” you began timidly, “what comes after this stage?”
“Depends,” he replied, resting his hands behind his head, “Where do you want it to go?”
“Riki…”
“What?”
“We just met—“
“That doesn’t answer my question, ____.”
You let out a breath, thinking on his words, “Hmm. I think we would make great fr-enemies.”
He giggled, “That’s it?”
“That's it. But maybe with time… we could—”
Buzz, buzz.
A notification from Riki’s phone lit up the dim hotel room. He reached for his phone, only to see a text from his friend Jake, who said he just arrived in Paris and wanted to meet up tomorrow.
“Was this planned?” You asked confused.
“No?… I don’t know why he’s here... or how he even knows I’m here.”
“Well. Looks like we better get some rest for tomorrow.”
“Ughh, but I wanted to spend our last day here together,” he pouted, rubbing his eyebrows.
“And we still can, Riki. It’ll probably be fun having your friend around, anyway.”
A moment of silence filled the air before he spoke.
“Fine. As long as you don’t mind, neither do I,” he smiled, turning off the night light before trying to get some sleep.
Tumblr media
“Hanni. Pham. You sneaky salamander!”
"Bonjour, bestie! Turns out, Riki does have a cute and single friend. Meet Jake, my favorite Aussie boy!" She beamed, clinging onto him as if they've known each other for life.
You wondered if that's how you and Riki looked together.
"Nice to meet you, Jake," you forced a smile, shaking his hand.
"You too, Miss ____," he returned with an Australian accent that caught you off guard.
No wonder Hanni and him were already getting along so well.
"Jake-hyung, when you said you wanted to hang out at the amusement park, I didn't think you meant for a double-date," Riki said with an awkward smile, searching your face for an 'okay' sign.
"Aww, c'mon Nishi, it's not every day that you're granted with such convenient chances (😉) to hang out with friends," Jake began.
"Exactly. Let's make the most of this beautiful day, shall we?" Hanni encouraged, taking your hand in hers as you, Riki, and Jake went on to explore the park.
The four of you went on more rides than you could keep track of, ranging from ferris wheels, spinning teacups, and rollercoasters.
It was also fun watching Riki and Jake battle it out on an amusement park mini game to win a stuffed animal prize: Of course, Riki won, but you gave the plush to Hanni because you didn't feel like carrying it around.
You all planned to end the night with ice cream, but that was until Riki caught sight of a jewelry making station.
"____, we have to," Riki said in a serious tone.
You giggled, "Have to what? Make matching friendship bracelets?"
"Uh, YES!"
Hanni and Jake sat at a different table than you and Riki, hooking different charms to the silver bracelet chains provided by the staff.
You and Riki decided to make one for each other and then swap them once you finished.
"Are you guys almost done?" Jake asked, looking at the time which was running close to 7:30pm.
"Almost, I just need to make a few finishing touches," Riki smiled, adding on some beads.
Finally, you all payed for the bracelets and put them in velvet baby blue goody bags, bidding your farewells before heading back to your respective hotel rooms to pack.
"Today was so much fun," Riki exclaimed, sorting the clothes in his suitcase.
"I know, I'm already sad just thinking about how we go back to reality tomorrow."
"Yeah...but in the meantime, let's enjoy our last few hours in Paris," he smiled, closing his suitcase before putting on a French film for you both to fall asleep to.
Tumblr media
The next morning came by faster than desired. On the flight back home, you reminisced about your fun weekend in Paris as though you might forget the moment you stopped thinking.
It was the simple things that started to effect you the most.
Riki's random Spotify playlist knitted memories with songs, faces to feelings.
You were falling hard for Riki, and the truth was, you had been since day one. It was obvious that he felt the same way about you, too.
The only thing holding you back was the fear of letting go.
The fear of letting love.
"All flight passengers, we have started our descent and will be landing shortly. Please remain seated after making sure your tray tables are in their upright positions and any other personal belongings are within your vicinity. Thank you," the pilot spoke from the head of the plane.
You and Riki were sharing a box of cream filled French cookies as you finished the last few minutes of the movie "Your Name" on his laptop.
"So you're telling me that this ends with Taki and Mitsuha not remembering each other?" You asked sadly, wishing the two characters could've had a happier ending.
"Not in this film, no. But the director mentioned something in an interview about them eventually reuniting and even getting married," Riki clarified, taking a sip from his carton of chocolate milk.
You sighed, looking out the window as the ending credits played silently in the background.
Riki tapped your shoulder, causing you to whip your head to face him.
"Here," he said, handing you the baby blue velvet sack he kept from Paris.
After making your bracelet, he said he wouldn't let you see it until y'all were in the plane. Turns out, that moment was now.
"Open it," he nearly whispered, his usual piercing eyes becoming more soft.
You took the bag in your hand, untying the string as you slid the silver bracelet in your palm. Riki didn't hesitate to fasten the hook around your wrist, a hue of pink rising to his cheeks at the sight.
You observed the rainbow heart beads and other cute charms that ran across the length of the bracelet.
One charm that stood out to you most was the shimmery blue airplane, dangling next to a cursive letter R.
The bracelet was so nice that it made you feel insecure about the one you made for him. He payed attention to so many little details, all apart of every moment that you shared together so far.
Even though the gesture was simple, you were left speechless.
"Riki, it's beautiful," you beamed, fighting the urge to hug him.
"Alright, alright, now where's mine," he teased, shaking with anticipation.
"Oh, right, I almost forgot," you giggled, reaching in your purse to hand him the velvet sack containing the bracelet you made him.
That's when a robotic voice emitted a series of beeps and tones from the ceiling speakers: a familiar chime that let you know the airplane had officially landed.
Riki was quick to grab your luggage and his, making his way to the airport base as you trailed behind him.
You knew after landing, the peaceful nature of your weekend would be bombarded with the busy world you knew best.
You still couldn't believe that you had just traveled cross-country with a complete stranger, and if given the opportunity, you wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
Riki took your hands in his just as your Uber ride pulled up outside the airport, since your usual chauffeur, Hanni, was still in Paris with her 'favorite Aussie boy.'
"I don't really know what to say, but... Paris was cool...with you, I mean," Riki admitted shyly, his usually dominant aura faltering before you.
"Yeah. Paris was cool with you, too, Riki," you smiled, stepping on your tip-toes and kissing him on the cheek.
You turned on your heel, walking towards the shiny glass doors with your polkadot suitcase clicking behind you.
Of course you looked back, and of course he was still there waiting for you to leave with a smile.
You made your way to the vehicle, loaded your things in the trunk before hopping in the backseat.
The quiet Uber driver made his way out of the parking lot while a certain thought meddled in the back of your mind: Riki and I will probably never see each other again.
Still, unlike Taki and Mitsuha, you could never forget the flirty TSA agent who stole your heart.
You looked at the bracelet on your wrist again, smiling at the recent memories that were already started to feel distant.
That's when you felt butterflies erupt in your stomach.
Buzz, buzz.
You pulled your phone from your purse, revealing a text on your screen from a number you hadn't made a contact for yet:
"Hey, it's Riki. I know you just left, but I might die if we don't hang out tomorrow. Coffee at Café Royale's? Again? Maybe?"

Sakusa Kiyoomi hated cameras. Unfortunately, in his line of work, they were essentially gnats buzzing constantly around his head. They were always trying to make him do something, look here or there, pose with his shoulders angling this way or that. After the commands came the interrogations, nosy reporters sniffing around his private life for something sellable. Then there were the phone cameras and the fans behind them, and they could be a hit or miss depending on if they respected his boundaries. When he was in highschool, he could get away with avoiding socialization; but now, as a striker for one of the most famous teams in the country, socialization was a required skill.
“I’m happy you agreed to go with us, Sakusa,” Bokuto says for the fifth time since they parked at the venue in the heart of Tokyo. It was a little irritating, the way they kept thanking him for his presence like he’d back out if they didn’t continue expressing their gratitude. He couldn’t leave, even if he wanted to; Atsumu insisted on being the one behind the wheel and the car narrowly avoided a collision after Hinata said he’d missed the exit. “We know you’re still a little grumpy because of the drive, so don’t feel the need to talk to us right now.”
“Hey, if you wanted to leave so badly, you could just call a car,” Atsumu points out, “but I know you secretly like spending time with us.” Sakusa fixes his teammate with a stare that could be perceived as a grimace, but his friends know him better than that. Sakusa wasn’t angry, he was bored. It was originally Bokuto and Hinata’s idea to see some artist he didn’t listen to in concert, saying that it was ‘a once in a lifetime experience’ and that the artist hadn’t played in the country in over a decade. He was vaguely aware of some songs, mostly because his teammates cranked the speaker volume during conditioning. Still, it wasn’t his ideal Saturday night, especially before a big game. “And, guess what?”
“Holy shit, box seats!”
“We have our own bathroom!” Bokuto and Hinata’s shouts of excitement drown out the rest of Atsumu’s sentence and the security guards are barely able to open the doors as they tumble into the private section.
“Yo, Shoyo. Be careful of that railing or you’ll fall into the general audience,” Atsumu warns while Hinata willfully ignores him, staring out over the crowds slowly filing into their seats. “Pretty cool, ain’t it?” Sakusa nods once, approaching the balcony and then deciding against it when he catches the telltale flash of a phone camera. Like clockwork, he and the other Jackals would be on every update page within ten minutes. A small object appears from behind the balcony wall, floating upwards in a thin arc before falling back to the seats below.
“The hell are they doing?”
“Sakusa, fans are trying to give us bracelets,” Bokuto beams, holding up his forearm halfway-covered in colorful beads. “Apparently it’s a tradition with this artist.”
“I don’t like gifts,” Sakusa deadpans, his mouth taut in a frown. “Tell them I can’t take it.”
“Too late,” Atsumu says, snagging a vibrant purple bracelet as it’s tossed upwards. He looks down at the eager fans below and claps, gesturing for them to throw more. “We’re already taking ‘em, so they’re gonna wonder why you’re not taking them too.”
“If they’re real fans, they’ll know I don’t like gifts,” he counters with narrowed eyes.
“C’mon, Sakusa. Take one, at least,” Hinata says. His shorter teammate carefully pulls one off and slides it onto his wrist. The pattern alternates between yellow and lime green beads, with letter beads in the center spelling ‘NOKMLYDANOEW.’ It looked like Bokuto and Akaashi’s cat stepped on their computer keyboard. “The letters are an acronym for a song, I think. It’s an inside thing with the artist,” Hinata explains, leaning his bracelet-covered arms against the railing and waving to excited fans.
“I’m gonna see if they have time to meet us backstage. The fans’ll go berserk.” Bokuto’s words make Sakusa’s eye twitch involuntarily. Staying longer than expected of him was a surefire way to make him irritated and they knew that.
“Yeah, they’re not the only ones who will benefit from a little meet and greet,” Atsumu whispers cryptically and it’s impossible not to see the way he looks Sakusa up and down.
“The hell is that supposed to mean?”
“It’s nothing, really. Don’t worry about it, man,” Bokuto reassures him with a pat on the back, but he doesn’t budge.
“No, I’m interested. What’re you on about, Miya?”
“Trust us, it’s nothing!”
“Just grab a soju and relax, Sakusa–”
“They’re trying to set you up with the artist!” Sakusa flinches, turning slowly to his teammates that shrink away like vampires in direct sunlight. Hinata looks mortified, his hands slapped over his mouth as if to seal off what was already revealed. Atsumu and Bokuto shrug, giving him guilty smiles and showing their palms to convey their surrender. “That’s…that’s what they were talking about before we picked you up,” Hinata continues sheepishly.
“This whole thing is a blind date?” He seethes through gritted teeth, the lights of the stadium starting to give him a migraine. “You guys brought me here to set me up?”
“All we’re trying to do is have you meet someone new,” Atsumu says gently, stepping forward and then abruptly backward when Sakusa looks like he’s about to commit a homicide. “We think it’ll be good for you.”
“I don’t care about new people. I have work and you idiots to keep me busy,” Sakusa argues, crossing his arms over his chest. The beads on his arm press into his skin and he fights the urge to rip the entire thing off. “Why would I wanna meet some musician I don’t listen to?”
“Even if you don’t listen to their music,” Bokuto replies without hesitation, “You should read through their lyrics sometime; I think you’ll find a lot of stuff you can relate to. I bet they get just as much bad publicity as we do.”
“As if,” he scoffs. “I don’t need someone with a purple guitar telling me what I think.”
“You said there were volleyball guys in attendance, right? If they’re still here, I should probably meet them,” you say to your publicist as you step out from the automatic riser that brought you below the stage following the last song of the show. The sound of your platform boots echo on the linoleum in the back halls of the stadium, your exit music faintly audible from above. “Who are they?”
“There’s four in total, along with some managers and press. They’re on a team called the MSBY Jackals, with an outstanding record in the sport. From what I’ve seen, three of them are pretty nice.” The two of you, along with a handful of security guards, climb into a waiting golf cart.
“And the other one?”
“Toss-up. He might not even talk to you.” You take a sip from your water bottle and briefly glance at the photo your publicist has pulled up on her phone. You can guess which one is the quiet one from his face in the photo alone, staring blankly at the camera while his other teammates smile brightly.
“He looks like he’d kill me in my sleep,” you observe bluntly. “The type of serial killer people make fan accounts about.”
“In his defense, I don’t think this is his type of crowd,” she shrugs, her attention flicking to the way you stretch your legs in the seat of the small vehicle. “Sore?”
“Beyond belief,” you chuckle, wincing as a small stab of pain shoots through your calf. “I think I might need a little more padding on the soles, if possible. Chunky heels, in all their wonder, were not made for three hour shows.”
“I’ll see what I can do. You focus on turning back on for the players.”
After a few more minutes of sipping water and stretching out your legs in the backseat of the golf cart, you pull up to the loading dock where the four athletes are waiting. Two of them, one with iced tips and the other with vibrantly orange hair, practically jump in place when you arrive. The grumpy one lingers at the back of the group; the blonde player extends his hand to you as you step out.
“Thank you so much.” You greet them with a practiced smile and hope your exhaustion isn’t too visible. “Did you enjoy the show?”
“I couldn’t stop screaming the entire time and I think my voice is shot.”
“You are incredibly talented.”
“It was wonderful!”
“Oh, I’m so glad. It’s such a pleasure to meet you all,” you say warmly, truly wanting nothing more than to curl up in bed and sleep for 24 hours straight. Even when his friends chatter your ear off, the curly-haired one at the back doesn’t say anything. The short one with orange hair and the widest smile introduces himself as Hinata Shoyo, excitedly leading you to each of his teammates: loud Bokuto, flirty Atsumu, and reclusive Sakusa. You’re left alone with Sakusa when the other three rush off to find a bathroom, having been too excited to use one during your show.
“I didn’t take you for the bracelet type, Sakusa,” you comment, clocking the single bracelet on his wrist. “The colors are nice, though. They go with your eyes.” You let some of your facade come down, mostly because you figured you didn’t need to be as energetic around this one compared to the others.
“Yeah, Shoyo let me have one of his. Didn’t realize you had such a passionate fanbase,” he states and you fight the urge to laugh. “Or such a large one.”
“You didn’t think I had fans, Sakusa?” His eyes widen ever so slightly and the chuckle slips out before you can stop it, his ears turning a shade pinker.
“Not what I said,” he backtracks, avoiding eye contact. “The show was good,” he continues unexpectedly, and you find yourself appreciating his praise more than you should. It was a triumph, in your mind, every time you won over a new listener, and he was no different. At least he wasn’t one of the guys harassing you in your Instagram messages.
“I appreciate the compliment,” you say and catch his ears turning even redder. As much as he was trying to seem offputting, you could read him like a book. “You guys are in town for a game?”
“We’re playing not tomorrow night, but the night after. Coach would kill us if he knew we were going out before a big game,” he answers and you nod, gears starting to turn in your brain. It would be a headline tomorrow that the four players came to your show, but it would break the Internet entirely if you attended their game, especially in the middle of a sold-out tour. It was the kind of publicity you needed to drown out the tabloids.
“My last show of this city is tomorrow night, but I can get away with skipping a rest day. Would it be weird if I came to watch you play?”
“You want to watch me play?” Sakusa echoes. The tiniest little smirk plays on the corner of his lips. Ugh. For all his introvertedness, he still had the ego of a pro athlete. “That’s what you’re saying?”
“I meant you guys. Don’t think I forgot about the players that actually came to talk to me,” you correct quickly. You exhale through your nose and shake your head with a small smile. The enthusiastic conversation behind you tells you that the rest of the team is returning. “Fine. Maybe I do wanna see who you are under all that antisocial attitude.”
“Have fun with that. I don’t like new people,” he says, testing you. Too bad you were used to men that probably weren’t healthy for you. “There’s no changing that.” Your forehead throbs at his pure audacity, but you manage to keep an unbothered expression.
“Good thing I love a challenge.”
“I didn’t think they’d actually show up,” he mutters, taking another look at the large screens projecting the image of you in a VIP box. Sakusa didn’t recognize you without your concert makeup and stage outfit until Shoyo practically knocked him over in excitement. Seeing you smiling and catching your eye, even from at the bottom of the court, made his stomach turn in a way he wasn’t used to.
“I can’t believe we didn’t think of that first,” Bokuto beams, sending a powerful serve that barely cilps the top of the net. Sakusa finds his eyes drifting to your box, his scowl deepening when you blow an exaggerated kiss to his teammate. His next serve he puts more effort into, but when he looks up, you’re not even watching. Not only were you crashing his game, you were distracting his team. “Nice plan, Sakusa! Maybe we can become friends with them and go to each others’ events.”
“That wasn’t my intention,” he cringes, the idea of spending more time with you making him nauseous. He couldn’t put his finger on it, but the fact that you were making an effort to engage with him and his friends was outlandish. And all because he invited you to a game? Didn’t you have anything better to do?
“You thought inviting them to the game would scare them away, huh?” Atsumu’s watching Sakusa carefully, inspecting his disgruntled expression under a microscope. “Believe it or not, Omi, some people actually want to be around you…despite how difficult you make it sometimes.”
“I don’t remember asking for your input,” he threatens, but the blonde Miya merely shrugs, impervious to Sakusa’s warnings. “Can we agree to ignore their presence? Focus on the game. It’s your job.” Atsumu and Bokuto share a look, with typical Hinata none the wiser. Whether they knew it or not, your attendance was throwing off Sakusa’s entire concentration. The average spectator wouldn’t notice the change in Sakusa’s behavior; if anything, they would think he was functioning at a higher level than he usually plays. His serves are stronger, his spikes are sharper, and his steps are quicker than any other player on the court. Fans rave on social media about how focused he is in the game, and the reporters scribble in their notebooks the pressing question for the post-game press conference: Why are you playing so well today?
“I always play that well,” he mutters, his lie drowned out by the lively conversation around the booth in the corner of the restaurant. The Jackals had cinched an easy victory and Bokuto and Hinata dragged you from your box to get dinner with them. Sakusa sits at the edge of the booth, flanked by Atsumu, followed by Bokuto and Hinata. You sit at the other end, laughing at some dumb story being recounted. It made his forehead pound. “You just don’t notice.”
“Yeah, right,” Atsumu snickers with another sip of beer. “Admit it, something’s pissing you off.” Maybe I do wanna see who you are under all that anti-social attitude. Your words linger in the back of his mind and fire him up again, unknowingly furrowing his eyebrows and incriminating him. “Yep. Knew it.”
“Shut the hell up, Atsumu.” He hated that his normally-idiotic teammate was on the cusp of exposing the truth, not to mention the fact that he’d downed one too many soju bombs and was feeling pushier than usual.
“Is it ‘cause they actually listened to you and showed up?”
“I told you to shut up,” he hisses through gritted teeth. You’re laughing so hard that tears are starting to prickle at the corner of your eyes. It’s the kind of laugh where no noise is actually leaving you and you’re fanning yourself with your hand. Gross.
“Aww, look at little baby Omi-Omi, finally having a feeling over someone wanting to get to know him,” Atsumu gushes and Sakusa’s ears burn. He threatens his friend with an indescribable death to no avail. “I knew you had a heart under all that coldness!”
Sakusa’s fist clenches around his glass and he realizes his mistake a split second before there’s a sharp crack! and sudden pain prickles in his palm. “Oh shit, man. I–” His teammate swears under his breath when drops of dark red and amber starts to trickle down Sakusa’s arm, staining the white napkin on his lap. He grinds his teeth down to keep from crying out, the whiskey in his shattered cup burning his raw skin.
“What happened?” You’re by his side in an instant, your perfume flooding his senses in a way that makes him dizzy. “Jeez, Atsumu. What’d you do?”
“Why are you blaming me? He’s the one who was holding the cup,” Atsumu says defensively and you shoot him a look. “Fine. I got him riled up and he did,” he gestures to the mess on the table, “that.”
“Could one of you call your driver please? I think it’s time you three head back to your hotel,” you recommend calmly.
“What about Sakusa?” Hinata asks as he climbs out from the booth, dragging an apologetic Atsumu and a very buzzed Bokuto toward the door. “He should probably get that checked out.”
“I know. I’ll stay with him,” you reassure him and, after a brief pause of thinking, the short spiker nods and heads for the exit. Sakusa is rigidly still, save for the involuntarily twitching of his injured fingers. “C’mon, let’s go,” you say, gently guiding him out of the booth and grabbing some unused napkins to catch the bleeding. He follows you wordlessly, a million thoughts stewing in his eyes that he refuses to verbalize. He knew he didn’t like you when you tried to read him after your show, but the alcohol in his system was making him despise you.
You, sitting with him on the way to the nearest hospital. You, carefully looping the elastic bands of his mask over his face before leaving the car. You, politely declining a fan’s attempt to introduce themselves while you’re checking him in at the reception desk. You, listening intently to the doctor as she says that he’ll need stitches in his right hand and that they’ll need to pick every last particle of glass from his palm so that it doesn’t become infected. You, ignoring your vocal coach’s orders for a rest day and staying by his side from 11:00pm to 3:00am when the doctors finally finish his hand.
He despises you and his pride becomes a gag in his mouth once you drop him off at the Jackals’ hotel, rendering him unable to choke out a simple ‘thank you’ as you continue to treat him with unending kindness. You’ll get hurt if you keep being nice, he thinks to himself, and the way you flinch like you’d been shot tells him he’d spoken his thoughts aloud. He hears you murmur Sleep well, Sakusa, as he shuts the door with his left hand and stalks away, lost in the trenches of his mind.
“But, I’m not sure if it should be the A minor to keep with the chord progression or go to E to create some tension.” Your producer nods at you, his chin resting on his knuckles as you strum your latest song idea on your purple acoustic. It’d been a few days since your late-night trip to the emergency room with Sakusa, and you decided to spend a few hours in the studio before catching your flight to your next tour city. “And when I tried to do it on piano, I just wanted to change the key entirely.” He opens his mouth to speak but is abruptly cut off by three insistent raps on the doorframe of the control room.
“You have a visitor,” your publicist informs you, peeking her head into the room with a slightly bewildered look in her eyes. “He says it’s urgent.” Your eyebrows dip but you stand anyways, walking through the halls of the recording space until you reach the lobby of the building and stop in your tracks.
What the hell was he doing here?
“Hey,” Sakusa greets and you blink at him, like he was a figment of your imagination that would disappear if you ignored him. It’s impossible to ignore him, though, considering the outrageously large bundle of flowers cradled in his arm. He follows your eyeline, muttering, “I didn’t know which ones you liked, so I just…bought all of them.”
“I’ll, uh,” your publicist glances at you for a brief moment, giving you an unreadable look before gingerly taking the bouquet from the Olympian in the lobby. “I’ll take these and have them brought to your next hotel, okay?” She dismisses herself, leaving you alone with him.
“Why are you here?”
“Are you busy right now?” You cross your arms over your chest, annoyed that he replied to your question with a question of his own. Since dropping him off at the team’s hotel, you’d come to peace with his hatred for you even though you’d tried to be nothing but cordial; maybe he could tell that you wanted to be friends for the publicity, you theorized.
“I’m in a recording studio doing my job, so yeah,” you reply and allow all your suppressed attitude to rear its head. To your surprise, he doesn’t immediately fire back at you. If anything, Sakusa looked uneasy, nothing like the cold confidence you previously saw. “What do you want?”
“Do you have time for lunch?”
“Oh, now you’re interested in my company,” you scoff, rolling your eyes. In the time following that night at the hospital, you hadn’t received any updates other than an unprompted photo of hungover Atsumu. “Unless you’re ready to apologize for how much of an asshole you’ve been, I don’t wanna hear it.”
“I wanna start over,” he says as you turn your back on him to return to the studio. “One meal,” he proposes, “and if you want nothing to do with me after that, I’ll leave you alone.” You check the wall-mounted clock and make your decision.
“You get two hours.”
By the time you sneak through the back of a restaurant and sit down to eat, your stomach is turning itself inside out. You thumb through the menu eagerly, ignoring your present company until water glasses are set out and orders are taken.
“Look,” you begin, peering at him in the dim light, “I haven’t been completely honest with you.”
“That makes two of us,” he agrees. “You go first.”
“Truth is, I didn’t go to the game to see you, or any of the Jackals, for that matter,” you admit. “I went to get the tabloids off my back and give them a different reason to talk. I didn’t mean to mess up whatever dynamic you guys had going, so for that I am sorry.” You can’t see much of Sakusa’s expression, but you can tell his eyes are on you by the way they shine like a cat’s. It was off-putting, but also drew you in like a black hole. “Is your hand doing okay?”
“It’s better now,” he replies. “Doc’ told me that if we’d left that glass in for longer, it would’ve been more serious.” You nod and take a drink from your water as an excuse not to respond, to see if he would go further. “I, uh,” he swallows thickly, steadying his nerves. “I’m sorry for being avoidant and just being a general asshole. You didn’t deserve that, and I’m…incredibly remorseful.” A puff of air leaves your nostrils in amusement and he can hear you smirk from across the small table.
“I appreciate the apology, and the apology lunch. Wanna start over without our respective teams breathing down our necks? Friends?” You stick your open hand toward him and he shakes it without hesitation, sealing your deal. “Awesome.”
“You said ‘tabloids.’ What do they say about you?” Your smile fades and for a moment, he thinks he’s pushed too far too soon. He’s on the brink of apologizing again when you exhale an unsteady breath.
“The tame ones call me an industry plant,” you explain awkwardly. “The–uh–bolder ones call me a slut.” His nostrils flare and he’s glad there’s no glass in his hand again, otherwise he couldn’t promise it wouldn’t be shattered. “The big drama came from me leaving the producer who’d helped me start my career. The media got the wrong idea, said I’d slept my way into working with him, and left when I’d had my fill.” Sakusa slowly stretches his neck from side to side, willing the sudden tension in his body to relax as he starts to see red. “I hope you can see why I wanted to give them a different reason to talk.” It’s more of a struggle than he expected to keep his voice steady.
“What actually happened? With the original producer?” You hum in lieu of answering, grateful to catch the approaching servers out of the corner of your eye.
“I’ll tell you another time,” you dodge, giving him a smile that he can tell is off. “For now, can we eat? I’m so hungry I’m about to eat these silly little herbs in the centerpiece.”
Sakusa stays in Tokyo longer than the rest of his teammates, who depart on the team jet for the next game. He says he wants to do a little more sightseeing, despite having an apartment in the most expensive highrise in the city and knowing the streets like the back of his hand. The truth was, he wasn’t ready to give up the…thing…he’d established with you. He fell into an odd sort of routine: saying goodnight over text, calling you in the morning and telling you what time he’s picking you up, choosing the best places that can shut down for the world’s biggest rockstar on a day’s notice. You were in town for three more days and ended up spending every waking moment of them with Sakusa.
“You’re really good at dodging the cameras,” you remark over a shared cup of ice cream on your last day, digging your spoon past the numerous toppings you’d insisted on adding. “How do you do it?”
“It helps when I’m not surrounded by the three biggest noisemakers on the planet,” he deadpans and you giggle, a sound he was increasingly becoming fond of the more time he spent with you. “I’m pretty good at laying low. People don’t know where I am unless I want them to know.”
“Everyone seems to know where I am before even I know,” you frown. “I envy you; I really do.”
“I don’t,” he shrugs.
“Why not?”
“When you’re trying so hard to avoid people, they tend to stop looking for you. Makes my job easier.” Your lips part in an oh of understanding. “But, I guess you’re here, so either you truly care about my wellbeing or you’re clinically insane.” You burst out laughing, so much so that you snort and have to cover your mouth with a napkin. “My running theory is that it’s a mix of both,” he declares with a rare upturn at the corner of his mouth.
“Oh, shit,” you mutter once you’ve caught your breath and checked the time on your phone. “I should go. My plane leaves soon and my manager’ll kill me if I’m late. She’s already iffy about me staying in Tokyo this long.”
“What’s your next city?”
“Madrid. I’m starting the European leg,” you reply while you pack up your things. He stands, walking you to the door of your waiting car. His eyes instinctively scan the surroundings street for cameras, and he subtly positions his body to block you from any passing eyes as you climb into the car. The window makes a humming noise as you roll it down.
“Have a safe flight.”
“Don’t be a stranger, yeah? I’ll miss you, even if you don’t want me to.” He memorizes the way the afternoon sunlight catches in your eyes, how each thump of his heartbeat seems louder when you’re near. Something is wrong in my brain, he thinks to himself. Once he’s completely sure your car isn’t being tailed, he dials Atsumu on the drive to the hotel to collect the rest of his things.
“You land already, Miya?” His car purrs beneath his fingertips as he speeds through the busy streets.
“Safe and sound,” his teammate confirms. “Though jet lag is starting to hit Shoyo and Bo. How were the rest of your dates?”
“They weren’t dates,” he argues, his hands unconsciously gripping the wheel tighter in indignance. “I was just thanking them for that night.”
“Yeah, and a bit more than that, I figure.”
“I don’t even know why I bothered calling you,” he groans.
“Because you want me to say ‘I told you so,’ right? That it was a good idea for me to bring you to that show. You know, a trip to that conveyor belt sushi place will suffice as repayment.”
“In your dreams, Atsumu,” Sakusa deadpans.
“C’mon, Omi. I know you wouldn’t keep spending time with them if you didn’t feel some kind of tug.”
“Tug?”
“Like you’re drawn to them,” Atsumu gushes and Sakusa feels like gagging. “Intimately.” Sakusa definitely didn’t think of you that way…right?
“You’re such a pervert.” His disgust is clear, and his speakers blow out with Atsumu’s screams of Not like that! and You don’t even pull enough for me to make fun of! “I’m at the hotel now so I’m gonna hang up. Not sure again why I even bother talking to you.”
“Because I’m your best friend,” Atsumu answers. “See you soon, my sweet Omi~”
“Remind me to punch you when I touch down.”
“How was the show a few nights ago?”
“Amazing, as always. Almost fell on my ass running around to meet people at the barricade, but thankfully kept my balance,” you chuckle, running the pad of your thumb over the petal of a purple gladiolus. “You can probably see a clip of it on all the fan pages.”
“You think I follow fan pages about you?”
“What? I follow fan pages about you,” you insist. “User ‘omi-omisbigtits’ has some pretty funny posts of you.” Sakusa groans from the other end of the line.
“That’s the one fan account I have blocked because they post such heinous things,” he recalls. “Did you scroll far enough to see the one where I’m at the zoo and–”
“You’re running away from the peacock, yep,” you finish. Out of the various presents and letters your fans gifted you, you find yourself drawn again and again to the pot of sword lilies. “I screenshotted it and made it your contact photo.”
“I’m never sending you flowers again,” he mutters, but you hear it, snapping your head upwards.
“These were you?” Your jaw drops so forcefully that it aches. “You’re the mystery flower sender? No one would tell me who sent these!”
“Because I told them I’d sue if you found out it was me,” he shrugs and you roll your eyes, a grin creeping onto your face.
“Why’d you want to send them anonymously?” Upon inspecting the color further, you realize where you’ve seen the shade before.
He’d sent you flowers that matched your favorite guitar.
“I didn’t wanna distract you before your shows. I was aiming for subtlety.” You blink in disbelief. Sakusa had sent you flowers the night before you started your show run in Paris, knowing you would be at the venue for soundcheck. Maybe he did care about you and your career.
“Well, you failed,” you state, staring at the large bundle of purple taking up half the space on your dressing room’s side table. “This bouquet is the opposite of subtle.”
“Bouquet? I ordered you one stem.”
“No,” you restated. Even though you’d never video called Sakusa before, you switch on your phone’s camera anyway to show him the absolutely gargantuan amount of flowers he mistakenly sent you. “You ordered this.” To your surprise, he turns on his camera as well. His face contorts into such a shocked and puzzled expression that you snort out the water you were sipping, burning your nostrils as tears prickle your eyes. “Stop looking like that, I can’t breathe!”
“What do you mean, ‘stop looking like that?’ I didn’t mean to send you the whole rainforest!” You choke out another uncontrollable laugh, turning the camera to face yourself and setting it in front of your vanity mirror. “Alright, at least you got them.”
“Yes, and I really appreciate you sending them.” You can tell he’s not used to having his camera on, as he keeps tilting the phone at odd angles and barely showing his face half the time. “What’re you doing right now?”
“Just in bed.” Or a snowstorm, from the looks of it.
“Why does it look like your poor phone is in a typhoon?”
“You’re literally so annoying,” he grumbles, reluctantly positioning himself so that he’s sitting against the headboard. With the new point of view, you also notice very quickly that he…is completely shirtless. “Better?”
“Yep, yeah. That’s fine,” you force out, clearing your throat aggressively while the image of his very broad shoulders assault your brain. “Sorry that I didn’t send you flowers for your game.”
“The guys would give me shit about it if you do, so I’m glad you did not,” he replies. “Though, it does suck not having you around.”
“This is the closest I’m ever getting to you saying you miss me. I should commemorate it with a plaque.” Sakusa clicks his tongue and rolls his eyes, but you can tell he’s trying not to smile. He must’ve taken a shower recently; his curls look slightly wet and dangle haphazardly across his eyes. You have the sudden urge to run your fingers through it, and then the even more sudden urge to slap yourself for thinking in such a way.
“What city are you in now? I know you just finished up Dublin.” His voice snaps you out of your daydreaming.
“Paris,” you manage to reply without too awkward of a pause. “You?”
“Paris.”
“Huh? I thought your next game was in Brazil,” you ask. His face goes still for a moment and you figure it’s probably frozen from bad service, wherever he is. “Hello?”
“Sorry, you broke up for a second. What were you saying?”
“I was asking why you were in Paris.”
“I’m not in Paris,” he states. “I’m in Seoul.”
“Isn’t your next game in Brazil?” He pauses for an almost imperceptible amount of time.
“Game schedule got rearranged. We’re in Seoul, then the States, then Brazil.”
“Oh. I see.” A loud series of knocking on your dressing room door makes you jump. “Ah, I’m sorry. I need to go.”
“Rockstar duties?”
“You know it,” you yawn, taking one last indulgent look at the exposed muscle on his shoulders. “Hopefully we both get some rest for the coming days.”
“Yep. G’night.”
There was a little bit of lingering guilt on his end after you hang up; the fact that he’d lied to you about his whereabouts didn’t escape him.
He wasn’t sure what came over him, what sentimental demon temporarily possessed him to take a plane to wherever you were (Paris, not the lie that he gaslit you into believing) and buy a last minute ticket to your show. His emotions and desires were thrown completely off balance; he truly didn’t care if he was up in the nosebleeds if it meant he got to see you. Thankfully, a wealthy couple had bought out an entire area of club seats for their granddaughter’s birthday, but decided last minute that they wanted to fly to Cancun. It made him a little anxious, having all that space to himself, but he figured he could have his guards and team invite family to make it a little less lonely. It didn’t matter how many strangers he needed to meet or how much he had to spend.
He just wanted to see you.
He finds himself in a familiar position from the first time he went to one of your shows, rooted under the awning of the expansive lounge area and just out of sight from fans. His arms unconsciously cross over his chest and the beads of the bracelet he’d dug through his luggage to find presses against his skin. But, this time, he isn’t annoyed by the pain; if anything, it reminds him that he’s actually here with you, even if you don’t know it yet.
I’m pretty good at laying low. People don’t know where I am unless I want them to know. His words echo back to him and he makes his decision, stepping out into the stadium lights and resting his forearms on the railing.
He wants you to know he’s there.
The first fan to notice is a girl in purple, slapping her friend furiously until they both are gawking at him. One pair of eyes becomes two, which becomes five, which becomes twenty, until hundreds of phone cameras are pointed at him and snapping photos. The sentimental demon possesses him again and he sticks up an involuntary peace sign, even going so far as to smile to look less bored. They scream for him and he thinks the sentimental demon is Atsumu, because he finds himself imitating his teammate’s movements. His hands clap together and he gestures for fans to toss him bracelets, which become an impossible shower as dozens are thrown at once. By the time the lights dim and news of his presence is trending across the continent, his arms are covered in sleeves of rainbow beads.
—
The ache in your feet is immediately replaced by adrenaline when your head of security informs you who came to the show. You don’t bother waiting for the golf cart to bring you to the back of the stadium and take off sprinting, chunky heels and all. They’re calling after you to hold on to let the rest of your team catch up, but you don’t listen. The stadium staff look at you fondly but also have a reasonably startled reaction to you running like you’d escaped from an asylum.
You round the corner absolutely heaving and his face breaks into a wide smile. You’d never seen him look like that before, never at his games or during any of the time you’d spent together. It was an expression reserved for only you in this moment. You don’t remember if he catches you or if you embrace him first, but soon enough your face is tucked into the crook of his neck, eyes squeezed shut and grinning like a lunatic. His arms are rock solid around your waist, pulling you impossibly closer until you can hear his heartbeat slamming against his ribcage. Neither of you speak for a few minutes because you don’t feel the need to; only when you pull away to hold his face with your hands do you manage to articulate words.
“You’re here,” you breathe. “You’re actually here.” Recognition blinks onto your face and you suddenly frown, lightheartedly slapping his shoulder, saying, “You lied! Your dumb ass said you were in Seoul!”
“I wanted it to be a surprise,” he concludes unapologetically. “I did slip up with my story a few times, though.”
“Yeah, you got your own game schedule wrong.”
“To be fair, some games did get rescheduled, which is why I’m able to be here. Our next game’s in Seoul, which is why I blanked and said that instead,” he explains and you respond with an exasperated eyeroll. “Find it in your heart to forgive me?”
“I see right through you, Sakusa Kiyoomi. You don’t…uhm…” He comes close enough that you can count his eyelashes and it takes you a few seconds to recompose yourself. “Mmm, you wanna kiss me so bad, it makes you look stupid,” you challenge and hope he doesn’t hear the butterflies going wild in your stomach.
“Maybe I do,” he smirks and it only makes the situation more sweat-inducing. “I missed you, after all.” Your eyes flutter closed as he leans in but instantly shoot back open, gently pushing him away as he pouts. “What is it?”
“Take me out to dinner, first. If you apologize sufficiently for being a terrible liar, maybe you’ll get a kiss,” you propose and he’s already lacing his fingers in yours.
“Good thing I love a challenge.”
—
In spite of his attempts to ignore the cameras and the footsteps that were always a few feet behind him, there was a pit in his stomach every time Sakusa was in public with you. He couldn’t figure out why he was so irked, but the feeling made it difficult to enjoy how you smiled at him in quiet moments and pointed out things he’d never think to notice before. Most perplexingly, you didn’t seem bothered at all by the cameras. It was like they disappeared as soon as he came into your proximity; you barely spared them a glance in favor of beaming up at him.
Even though you agreed that there was a feeling more than platonic between you two, he hadn’t mustered up the urge to kiss you properly, opting for your forehead or your hands instead. It didn’t seem to bother you, the way he only reserved showing his affection when you were out of view. But, he slips up the night before you have to part ways, him for his next game and you for your final European date. The dread he’d experienced for days felt like intuition telling him something was inherently wrong, like he was teetering on the edge of a cliff he didn’t know the height of.
It comes crashing down when the tabloids catch him holding your hand.
“Can you believe this?” You snort, showing Sakusa the headline as he forces down the bile in his throat. “They think you’re my next ‘big catch,’ like you’re a fish or something,” you chuckle obliviously, leaning into him on the living room couch of his hotel suite. He manages a pained mhmm and watches as you continue to scroll through the news site, the photos of him holding your hand and grabbing your waist flying by like a nightmarish film reel. He rubs his palms back and forth over the fabric of his sweats, feeling suddenly feverish from every single point where your body was touching his. Clearing his throat, he swallows thickly and you finally look at him, concern pinching in your eyebrows. Your voice is gentle and you reach up to feel his forehead; he dodges your hand and you carefully hide your disappointment. “Hey, are you feeling okay?”
“We can’t do this.” His heart sinks as you sit up and blink at him, his words registering slowly in your mind. “I can’t…I can’t do this with you,” he sputters out. You exhale a single time and he watches your eyes flick from side to side, your brain running a thousand miles a minute.
“I don’t understand.”
“We need to stop.” You laugh forcefully, like you were commanding your body to feel lighter.
“If this is a joke, Kiyoomi, it isn’t funny–”
“It’s not a fucking joke; you need to stop being with me,” he snaps and the room falls silent. The only thing he can hear is his heartbeat rushing through his ears, his face hotter than the sun.
“Why?” Your voice breaks and so does something in him, his jaw clenching unconsciously.
“You need to stop being nice to me,” he says through gritted teeth, “because I can’t guarantee I’ll be nice back.” This is how it always ends. Push them away before things get messy. This is how it works for Sakusa Kiyoomi.
“But you have been nice,” you fight back, your grief morphing into unfiltered rage as you stand and scream at him. “You sent me flowers. You bought me dinner. You flew across the world to see my fucking show!”
“That doesn’t matter. None of it mattered.” His composure wavers momentarily, unreadable emotions flashing across his face. “You can’t be close to me without getting hurt.” He gestures to your phone, the paparazzi image of you two together brighter than a Times Square billboard.
“Who said it needed to be that way?”
“Everyone did!” He stands without warning and you flinch backward, stumbling against the coffee table. “People think I’m an asshole, so that’s how I choose to stay. At the very least, I can predict things and prevent people from getting too close. You’re too close.”
“But you’re not an asshole. You’ve shown me that much,” you insist, arguing with his back as he starts to retreat into the master suite. What you say next makes him freeze, trapped in an endless time loop with you.
Tell me you care for your friends.
“What?” He’s seething as he turns, meeting your eyes. “What the fuck do you mean, do I–”
“Do you care about your friends?” You repeat, stepping closer to him. His eyes are burning, molten to the core even when you refuse to shrink away. “If Bo, Shoyo, and Atsumu were dying in a fucking fire, would you save them?”
“Of course I would,” he spits indignantly. “What kind of–”
“Then you have the capacity to love, Kiyoomi, as much as you don’t want to admit it.” You’re crying, tears streaming uncontrollably down your cheeks. Why are you crying? He never wanted to make you cry. What did he do to make you cry?
“Because the last time you loved something, people scorned you.” They told him his passion was suffocating. They told him he was walking a path that one could only walk alone. He’s frozen, his feet left immobile on the hotel carpet. He makes no sound beside shaking exhales and can sense nothing but your voice coming closer.
“You made it your career to prove that it’s worthy of your love…but you forgot how to love anything else.” Time slows. He doesn’t remember when your face appeared so close to his. He can see a universe behind your eyes and he wants nothing more than to hold you and call you his. His passion was suffocating. It would hurt you. It would burn you. It would–
“I wish you could love yourself as much as I love you.”
One breath, and then another.
A crack in an eggshell. A hole in a fortress.
You are an asteroid completely obliterating the planet he considered himself.
And when he finally kisses you properly, he understands just how freeing being destroyed could be.
Sakusa Kiyoomi did not like cameras. They were gnats buzzing around his head, calling for him to look this way and that, catching his every reaction to whatever crossed his path. They were broken whispers that floated to his ears, unintelligible conversations that stayed as voices in his head. He did not like cameras, but he found that looking at you was infinitely better than looking at anything else.
“You doing okay?” Your murmur is the only thing he hears, quieting the rest of the chatter around him. Swaths of dresses and suits brush against his arms and he fights the instinct to shield you from view, despite being sat in the very center of the huge theater. It was the biggest award show of the season, and he’d made a vow with himself that he wouldn’t ruin tonight for you. With your hand in his, as long as he had physical contact with you, it was easier to keep the doubts in his mind at bay. “I’m feeling fine, if that’s what you need to know.”
“I’m doing okay as long as you’re okay,” he confirms softly, barely sparing a glance at the giant lens a few feet from his face. “I’m here to celebrate you. I won’t let them bother me tonight.” You beam at him, opening your mouth to say something when a commotion comes tumbling down the aisle. “Actually,” he mutters as his three teammates trip over themselves to find their seats in the rest of the row, “Do you think I can have one nasty scowl? I promise I’ll behave otherwise.”
“Having a rockstar best friend is like, the best thing ever,” Bokuto declares before you can respond to Kiyoomi.
“I’m so glad Omi finally got his head out of his ass, too,” Atsumu drawls with an unbothered yawn that makes Sakusa’s blood boil. The blonde Miya sibling had been very vocal with the press about playing as the matchmaker, pointedly dodging questions about his own romantic status. “I think I’ll secretly have ‘I told you so’ engraved on the inside of your wedding rings.”
“Over my dead body,” Kiyoomi grumbles and you smile, squeezing his hand once. He squeezes back, pressing a rare public kiss to the side of your head. You shift your body to lean more closely to his and your wrist presses down on something wrapped around his wrist.
“What’s under your sleeve?”
“Hmm? Oh, this?” He pulls back the freshly ironed fabric to reveal a familiar pattern of green and yellow beads, out of place compared to the rest of his formal attire. “Got it from a concert,” he smirks knowingly. “The show was cool, but I think I’m in love with the artist.”
“Yeah? You never figured out what that acronym stands for, did you?” He shakes his head and you point at each letter bead, explaining, “No one knows me like you do, and no one ever will.”
“Well, isn’t that fitting?” The lights dim and the orchestra starts to play its signature fanfare, spotlights gliding in aimless directions across the audience. “Thank you for helping me understand.”
“The meaning of the lyric? Of course, I think of you every time I sing it, now,” you smile.
“No, about what you said that night when we argued.” He feels a familiar blush creeping up his cheeks. “About loving me how you love me.”
“And do you get it now?”
“I do,” he nods, glancing at the colorful bracelet on his wrist and your fingers intertwined with his. “I just needed a little bit of convincing.” Your head settles on his shoulder and he lets you, allowing himself to relax in spite of the sea of cameras surrounding him.
“Good thing I love a challenge.”

The towering trees loomed over your figure, enveloping you in a long cast shadow rocking back and forth from the occasional gusts of gentle wind traversing in the clear sky. Glancing up, you squinted your eyes and shielded a hand atop your forehead, filtering the flooding rays of sunlight as it shone onto the earth. You held the porcelain cup between your fingers a bit tighter as the soft breeze of Inazuma whistled into your ears, making your mind wander blissfully amidst the comfortable silence.
Lacking the ability to speak has always seemed like a curse bestowed upon you by the gods. You had never understood why it was you who was subjected to the suffering of remaining silent while everyone around you chattered endlessly. You’d part your lips to speak, hoping for something—anything to push past your throat. However, that wish of yours was to no avail. With a hand to your chest, you’d frequently push past crowds of people, mind racing with a longing to speak as they did.
You believed you’d always fall short of others. That you would have nothing more than longing for your desire to be like those who surrounded you, while you were devoid of the ability to utter even a small sound. Or that was what you thought.
Until you had met your husband, Ayato.
His soothing voice was something you always yearned to hear, preferably over the voices of others who only struck shameful envy in you. However, Ayato had always been a kindhearted man, frequently understanding you and remaining patient as he took his time to understand your quirks. He had never once attempted to push you, nor had he harbored even the slightest bit of frustration whenever you had trouble communicating with him non-verbally. He would only let out a hum of understanding and nurture your hand between his, placing his palm atop your knuckles as his eyes locked onto yours and awaited for you to regain yourself patiently.
It was quite nice, really. Although you couldn’t say it, you cherished your time with him. Always huddling shoulder to shoulder affectionately in his embrace, as you felt as if you had the life that you’ve always wanted when you were in Ayato’s arms. Just by that, he could tell. He always understood your every signal, every cue, every gesture even.
You only let out a closed-mouth sigh as you reminisced upon every time your dear husband had been there for you through thick and thin. You adored every detail about him. His pale blue hair swaying through the wind, that gentle smile complimenting his pool-like eyes, the small mole briefly dotted below the corner of his lip…
You could go on and on about him honestly.
“Dear, I’ve brought some tea.”
A quiet, yet sharp voice called out to you from a distance, inching closer to you as your back rested against the smooth bark. Ayato made his way over to the spot you were sitting, lowering himself into the shade to cross his legs in seated position beside you. The cool tone of the shadows shrouded his face as he carefully set down the teapot, giving his complexion a sweet touch.
You flashed him a grateful smile, setting the porcelain cup down to wrap your fingers around the handle of the teapot. Ayato’s gaze simply followed your movements, as if he was carefully tracing each gesture like a hawk. The tea filled a little below the rim of the cup, clouds of steam drifting out of the hot beverage and vanishing into the air. You blew on it with a subtle breeze of wind from your lips, cooling down the tea as its steam wafted in the direction of your breath, the floral smell still present.
Ayato suddenly cleared his throat, extending an arm out to fumble through a pocket in his clothing. He seemed intent on finding it, fingers feeling up every portion as if he had hidden it quite well. You could only cock your head to the side slightly in response, feeling a blink of curiosity overtaking you, and thinking solely about what this might be.
“Here. Happy anniversary, darling. It may not be much but…I hope you do cherish it.”
Ayato suddenly cupped your face, palms angled against your cheeks as he positioned your head to come level to his chest. Slowly and carefully, he slid a small hairpin into the side of your hair, tangling the clip into your strands steadily. You leaned up to touch the pin, fingers ridging along the gold accents surrounding the center gem. And it didn’t take long for your heart to nearly burst from the fuzzy feeling you felt inside upon realizing…
It was your favorite precious stone.
Although you deeply yearned to verbally articulate how happy you were in this moment, how joyous he had always made you feel—you felt strangely content with not being able to express it. Ayato had understood and cared for you enough, knowing full well what you meant although you couldn’t say it. That was more than enough for you. He was everything you could ever ask for in this jealousy struck world.
His hands kept firm against your cheeks, continuing to cup them as he nearly squeezed them together. You swore he was resisting the urge to do that. Everything went quiet, and time stopped as he pressed his lips to your forehead, both of your eyelids lowering shut as you felt your heart flutter at your husband’s affectionate actions.
You would be together in every life. You knew that as a fact. And you prayed to the archons that in the life ahead of you, he’d love you just the same.
