Hiccup once again being extremely relatable when he's struggling to understand how he's supposed to respond to Astrid's frustration. Just straight up asks "what would you like me to say?" Honestly...people should just say why they're upset or what they want you to notice. And tbh I felt like Astrid was a little out of character in this episode. I feel like it would have made more sense for her to be upset but she would keep it bottled up inside because she *didn't* want Hiccup to notice.

I understand where Astrid is coming from, but I strongly believe that what Hiccup and Astrid have is stronger and more stable than Dagur and Mala's relationship - not just because they've known each other longer, but because I just think the fact that they're comfortable with each other is a better indication than the life or death intensity of Dagur and Mala's attraction. That intensity is going to lessen at some point and if they don't learn how to adjust after the rose-tinted lens honeymoon period, things will not go very well.

(hence the dysfunctional dagur/mala dynamic ive referenced briefly before in a fic and that I will focus on in more depth in other fics)

My Stand in Ep 11. Ah the curse

OK. So this felt rushed. Do I care? Kinda. My entire rant below

Joe's mum got a letter exposing his relationship with Ming. I cringed. But then it was supposed to be resolved. "We'll go and see her this afternoon?" Did that happen off screen?

Then we have May being an absolute queen who deserves none of this shit.

Then the Mum. She was the one who sent the lawyer. I cant defend her but I do understand her desperate actions. But then she relents to the man when he gets to feed Ming. Love her dreaded face cause there was still hope in her face when that idiot gave Ming an ultimatum.

Speaking of that dinosaur. HAH! his face. His face. That was it. The conflict in his face. The fact that he wants his son to be happy but in HIS way is interesting. When Ming pulls two up on him and WINS is hilarious. He was so sure that Ming was the one who exploited his wealth the most (he isn't wrong), so to him, it WAS clear what the simple choice would be.

Oh YOU! older brother. I cannot wait for you to bring the secretary to the dinner table and give that geizer a heart attack. Please. But HIS ENTIRE CHARACTER IS CONSISTENT BUT HIS CHOICES ARE NOT! Broke his sister's rose coloured glasses. He asked good questions like when will Joe stop being the good person. Then, he puts himself at risk for this stand-in. No notes, apart from that he should have punched Tong when he saw him at the studio.

That was a rushed episode. But i think with the run time they had, this was the best we would have gotten. There is still so much to cover in the 12th episode and not having a preview is a wild choice. A good one. This raises the stakes and keeps people on edge. Perhaps they will release it but it would be wise to keep things as a mystery since the trailer is already out there. This series has drastically changed from the book and I appreciate both separately. I've always had the opinion of keeping the book and the series separate. Pepsi is brilliant in keeping the beauty of the story while Up and Poom portray the characters with such detail. A whole series cannot be judged on a single episode that only lacks in a certain attribute - in this case, pacing.

I cannot wait for episode 12 and May's signature on the divorce papers. One thing though, if Tong gets to apologize, i want Mek to pull off so much patheticness that you can only feel pity. And if Joe does end up in a wheelchair, I want him to be drowning in money. Nope. None of this stuggle in poverty. Enough of that in real life. If switching souls exists, i want infinite money for the afflicted, too.

Things to consider:

1. Aradia and Dave would be SO disrespectful of invasive of peoples privacy and property that they would cause a whole upheaval about the ethics of true crime. Like Aradia obviously respects the dead but I dont think she respects alive people. And also her definition of respecting the dead is a lot different than the average person's, trolls included. I think their cancelled initally because of some sketch shit they said and then cancelled FULLY because they both get arrested for breaking and entering into a mourge. And it turns out part of the reason theyve solved so many cases is because theyve been digging up cadavers. Also, these two have a black hole where their emotional development should have gone. One copes by latching onto things and concepts with their whole being to avoid mentally disintegrating, the only dissociates and just says shit in a stream of consciousness when even mildly uncomfortable. Also, they keep dead human body parts in their shared bedroom, and people arent too happy about that.

2. To me I think Rose and Gamzee are too esoteric and anonymous online to be turly cancelled. Like yeah sure Gamzee posts blurry 13pix pictures of his face with low light and at odd angles but Rose carefully edits every single picture she posts on line to look completely photoshopped before posting it. However, the contents of their stories are insane enough that people would give it a try anyways. Rose is writing intense hardcore human centipede au beetles fanfiction, and Gamzee is writing x reader erotica about the pope. They live opposite sides of Rose's mother's mansion, and Rose has made it her personal quest to keep an eye on Gamzee. Hes still recovering from being in the fridge. Their not doing great.

3. The fact that Kanaya and Feferi are not a popular vote is surprising to me, consitering that Feferi was raised eugenist. Like, shes pretty abelist and would also say some transphobic stuff by accident. Also, shes a beauty vlogger, and do you know what kind of shit beauty vloggers get into? She doesnt believe in therapy, has crystals around her house instead of a support system, and says the r slur. Kanaya however is veiwed as largely unproblematic until the murder charges come out and at that point a lot of people quietly unfollow her.

4. The reason Nepeta is not in the "rpf" category is because he writes friendfiction, which is a grey enough area that I dont think people would be able to cancel him about it. However, the reason he has twitter blue and the reason he is cancelled is the same: He is best friends with racist cryptobro Equius Zahhak. Also, he was a proshipper as a teenager. Dirk gets cancelled because his autoresponder calls someone a fag.

5. I dont think I need to tell you why Eridan would get cancelled. I think you know why. But, the reason him and Roxy are cancelled together is because a) their a duo and b) their both transgender "wrong" and people would call them transphobic because their bigender, or something. Honestly, I think Roxy gets into enough drama on the daily that they dont even realize they where cancelled until Karkat texts them about it.

6. Terezi is cancelled because shes a problematic lesbain and Jake gets cancelled because he uses transsexual instead of transgender in a post-kink era. The canibalism thing isnt widely known. Both of them wouldn't even notice because their online exactly one week a year, two weeks if theres a solar eclipse.

7. June and Travos get cancelled because they call eachother slurs affectionately on livestreams and once where mean to a homeless man. They probably would have been fine if their apology video wasnt a garbage fire, and it all snowballed from here.

8. Sollux and Jade get cancelled because they say people who treat their pets badly are stupid and exotic pet accounts send their followers to attack them. They say something like "you cannot domesticate a wild animal and it is morally wrong to try and make them a pet" and people who own alligators flip their shit. Sollux gets extra-cancelled because she self-identifies as a faggot.

9. Karkat is a famous tiktoker who starts shilling crypto after Dave convinces him its a good idea (Dave can see the stock market and knows it isnt) and Equius is racist. What more must I say. These two should not be roomates.

10. You see now this one is interesting because while Jane absolutely does have an nft, she only sets it as her profile and does nothing else with it. Vriska prints it out on everything and has a framed picture of it in her room and she is sooo annoying about it to the point where it reads like a bit and we are honestly uncertain if shes even bought an nft and if shes just lying. However, both of them are pretty radio silent online right now (or, well, as offline as Vriska can be) because the two of them are on a cross country ♤ road trip across earth c fueled by Jane's incoming gender crisis and Vriska's need to get away from facing her actions in regards to Terezi, so shes using Jane's journey as an excuse. They are both cancelled for being republican.

Theres no "see results" you have to vote. Theres no logic behind my parings besides "who do I think would cause the most events to happen". If you cant decide you can also consider "who would be on the news" and "who would tiktok hate".

Wow it seems in this fandom it's just normal and not rude at all to speculate openly about someone's appearance and make wild conclusions, right?

No one is saying rockstar life or smoking or their schedule is healthy for the band but the current obsession that Damiano is sabotaging himself (and no one else in the band?) and placing the blame subtly on him doesn't sit right with me, don't you think?

No I don't care whether the conclusion was right or wrong, of course Damiano is tired from touring, making multiple big energetic gigs per week and travelling all over the place in strange beds are exhausting to anyone, of course having to go through so many commitment to one so anxious as him would take tolls which may or may not result in him smoking visibly more. It's the language and attitude of these people lording over their "blorbo rocker" or whatever that makes me roll my eyes so hard I can see the back of my own socket. 🧸hurt/comfort headcanon

since jay and gillion are so emotionally fucked up and traumatised, they have a reeeeally hard time figuring out their feelings and talking about them. talk through it is not something they understand. they are used to action and violence, not emotional support.

chip, on the other hand, had a better childhood (at least for as long as it lasted w the black rose pirates), he had people to talk to him when he was upset and who were there for him when he needed support. obviously he's still pretty fucked up bc of his own traumas, but i believe he's the one who's most likely to actually process his own feelings in a healthier way than the other two.

so, its slow and it doesnt always end well, but he tries his best to be patient and to show the others that they can be vulnerable around him. that he will listen to them, that they dont have to suppress it all, that they dont have to suck it up and deal with everything by themselves anymore. its not easy, but they're slowly opening up and healing.

not sure if silly or angsty, and i said this b4 i think, but i believe timothy rand knows how to bake. his only reason for learning that is because he wants to make edibles (or thats what he tells himself). so he'd often hang out in the kitchen with his mom to watch or maybe even help her cook when his dad wasnt around. but deep down thats a way for him to bond with his mom, because he doesnt know how else to approach her.

so, the silly part is that although rolan is the canon malewife and does all the cooking, he lets rand help him sometimes. rand, ofc, tries to sprinkle some weed in their food when rolan isnt looking, and even tries to create his own recipes with kians help (well, help is a strong word), which may or not go terribly wrong and end up w rolan scolding them and making them clean the entire kitchen.

idk about unpopular, but i believe there's a chance niklaus isnt a villain. i know i was brainstorming with bee earlier (which btw she has some pretty fucking cool ideas, everyone should check it out), but hear me out.

ik niklaus has everything to be the bad guy: he knows everything, he's too powerful, keeps making shady deals, and his name is followed by dread. hell, he fits perfectly in the stereotype of 'villain wants powerful thing that he cant get it by himself, so he manipulates everyone to get it for him'.

BUT we know too little. theres some information there that we dont know yet, that we're missing. he could very much make a deal with the other bad and powerful guys (aka the navy or the elders or god knows who else is out there) but he's sticking to the people who are against those guys. idk, something about the deals he makes sound kinda desperate for me. obvsly he's too composed to show that when he talks, but i sense there's something that makes him worried, anxious, so he's always ready to intervene if the situation goes out of hand. and the whole thing with arlin? sus af imo.

maybe he is the bad guy. or maybe he has the knowledge of some greater thing thats still beyond our (and the crew) comprehension. so he can sense what things are leading up to and is pulling some strings to shift their destiny to do or avoid something specific. but we'll have to wait and see

Currently, you are on your way to third wheel for your best friend, Dakota. This guy that Dakota was dating was one that you really did not like. He was all sweet and kind around Dakota but the second they turned their back, he was a complete jerk. You knew you should tell Dakota but they just looked so happy being with this guy that you didn't want to ruin this momentary happiness.

Anyhow, both of you were walking down the street to a small yet busy pub that he had asked Dakota to meet. Dakota had asked him if you could come and he said yes but you knew he would have said no if that didn't ruin his "perfect boyfriend" image. You developed feelings for Dakota years ago, long into your friendship with him but you never confessed. You knew they didn't feel the same so you decided to just try to be the very best friend you could be.

Dakota pointed out the place you two were going and you followed them up to the front door. You opened it for them and they almost instantly spot their boyfriend, going over to him and hugging him. You smiled a sad smile and looked at the two before joining them at their table. He had sent Dakota off to get drinks for the three of you. "How have you been (R/n)?" He looks over to you with a not glare for once. "I'm breaking up with him."

Your eyes widened slightly. "What?" He nods. "Yeah I got hit pretty hard in the face with reality after the last time we met." His whole demeanor had changed from what it was before. You tried to say something but Dakota came back with a beer bottle and two glasses. They set one of the glasses down in front of you and handed the bottle to their soon to be ex who's demeanor went back to perfect boyfriend mode.

You smiled at Dakotas smile before taking a drink of what they got you. "Ah, (R/n)! Did you see the new episode yesterday? It was so good!" Dakota said before going on to ramble about bits and pieces. (R/n) smiled and nodded, chatting about said episode with Dakota.

A few minutes had past with the three of you talking before (R/n) decided it was time to bring the bad news. "Dakota." They looked up to (R/n) who looked like he just accidentally kicked a puppy. Dakota noticed and went to grab his hands to ask what's wrong but he pulled away. You looked away out of courtesy but still listened in. "I'm sorry Dakota. I dont think we can be together anymore. Its really me, not you. You've been nothing but good to me and I want you to be happy but it can't be with me."

"Maybe we'll see each other around. Don't worry about paying for drinks, I'll cover it on the way out." He said standing up to leave. Dakota couldn't seem to process what what happening as they watched their now ex-boyfriend walk away. "Kota, let's go." You said standing and grabbing their hand.

They didn't move but instead started to shake slightly. "Dakota, please." You pulled them up and practically dragged them out of the pub and stopped when you were a block away from it. Dakota hadn't said a word but held on tightly to your hand. "Do you wanna go back to your house?" You asked, looking to them. They nodded softly, more hair moving to cover their usually covered eyes.

You squeezed their hand gently as the two of you walked back to Dakotas place. It wasn't too far from the pub so neither of you saw the point in taking the car. After a few minutes of walking, Dakota stopped, making you look back. "Im... S-so sorry... I... I cant..." They tried to say something but ended up almost collapsing, legs shaking like crazy. You caught them before they could and opted to carry them the rest of the way.

Dakota holds onto you and cries into your neck. You gently rub the back of their head and whisper reassuring words into their ears. After a few more minutes of walking, you make it to the house and carefully unlock the door and close it behind you before taking them upstairs to their bedroom. "I'll go grab some water. I'll be right back ok?"

You head back down stairs, lost in thought as you grabbed water from the fridge before heading back up. You didn't expect to see what you did though.

Your body stood ridgid with shock. Standing in front of you, staring back with wild and afraid eyes was your best friend of 5 years. They looked like they were wearing pants but they weren't. Their legs were covered in dark brown fur, same colour as their hair. Your eyes followed the soft digitigrade shape down to the cloven hooves in place of feet. A small tail to match laid tight against their body.

"Dakota..?"

You breathed out hesitantly. They seemed to snap out of whatever trance they were in for a moment and they started to shake. "Hey... Hey whats wrong?" You asked as you very slowly approached them, as if the wrong step could send them sprinting away. They didn't say a word and you eventually got to their side. You very carefully grabbed their hand but they pulled it away faster than you could blink.

They looked at you with such fear that you could barely even tell if it was your sweet Dakota anymore. A tense moment passed as you had seen his eyes for the first time. You gently took their hand again and pressed their palm against your chest. They could feel your heart pounding, theirs was probably just as fast. You and Dakota had this thing where if one of you were panicking, the other would place a hand on the heart of the one whos panicking. It usually ended with a hug but it was really just a comfort thing that Dakota had started with you when they had a panic attack in public. Once they had seemed to realized, some lever must have flipped as they pulled you into a tight hug.

"(Y/n)..."

You hugged them back, gently placing a hand on the back of their head to keep them close. A silent minute had past before you felt your shoulder getting wet again. "I'm so sorry." It was barely a whisper but you heard it. Neither of you said a word after that. Dakota pulled their head out from the crook of your neck and rested their forehead against your chest.

"I didn't want you to find out like this..." Their voice was small as they spoke, hands gripping tightly to the back of your shirt. You carefully set a hand on their cheek, coaxing them to look up to you. Their eyes were red and slightly puffy from crying. The bright green, almost yellow irises stood out against their pink-ish scleras. "Your eyes are so beautiful." You mumbled out without thinking.

Dakota blushed and looked away. "I know you probably don't wanna talk so let's sit down and I'll go first." You lead them over to the bed and both of you sat down. "Judging by your reaction you didn't want me knowing about the whole... Lower half thing." You paused to look at Dakota who nodded. "Sorry." You said, still processing everything. Dakota shook their head. "N-no... I..."

"I don't know what to say..." Dakota said with a heavy sigh. "It's ok. You don't have to say anything-" They cut you off before you could continue. "(Y/n) I've lied to you for 5 years about it! Of course I have to say something!" You looked away from them and sighed. "I would be lying if I said it didn't upset me that you never told me what you were." Without hesitation, you grabbed Dakotas hand again, staring at it as they let you intertwine your fingers. "But I always had a feeling you weren't exactly human anyways... Of course I wanted to know but I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable around me."

Dakota looked to your eyes, tears welling up in theirs again. You could see that they wanted to apologize for not saying anything but you just shook your head. "Kota, I could care less that your a Satyr. If anything I like you even more." You mumbled the last part but they still heard it anyway, signaled by the blush that rose to their cheeks yet again. Dakota placed their free hand on your cheek and made you look back to them.

"I love you so fucking much Kota. You don't even know. I'm sorry. This is probably a lot on top of me finding out about probably your biggest secret and the... Y'know." Dakota shook their head. "Its all been so overwhelming. I'm honestly surprised I haven't passed out yet." You let a small huff of a laugh pass as they pulled your face closer to theirs. "You seemed to have calmed down a lot." You mumbled out.

Dakota nodded. "Yeah. I guess I'm... Relieved... I've known you long enough that I know you when you aren't feigning truths." They pause for a moment. You took this moment to observe their tear stained face. "(Y/n). I dont ever want you to leave me." Their voice had been shaky since you found out about them being a Satyr but it was even worse when they said that. "I couldn't truly live if you weren't in my life Kota."

They looked at you with wide eyes. "Sorry, said something weird didnt-" You were cut off by a pair of soft lips against yours. You carefully kissed back, tangling your hand in their soft, fuffy hair. The second both of you pulled away, Dakota smiled and pulled you into a tight hug. "Kota-" "I think him breaking up with me was the best decision ever." You furrowed your brows, really confused.

"What? Why? I though you two were happy together." Dakota nodded. "I was happy. But I also saw how unhappy you were. A-and it made me realize... Just how much I wanted to make you happy because you make me happy." You couldn't say anything but just looked at them with surprise. "Can I... Can I kiss you?" You asked quietly. Dakota laughed and nodded, pulling you into a kiss.

Your hands decided to test the waters a bit and you gently ran a hand through the soft fur that coat their leg. They shivered and gripped onto your shirt, leaning into the kiss more. You pulled away and let your hand linger on their thigh. "Did... Did you really mean it when you said that you liked me more knowing I was a Satyr?" You blushed and laughed awkwardly while looking away. "Yeah... I didn't realize I said that out loud."

Dakota let out a gentle laugh and pulled you into a tight hug. "Let's take a nap, I'm tired after crying so much..." You nodded and kissed their neck softly as the two of you laid down.

"Please stay by my side."
