Hey! I couldn't find any post saying if the requests were closed, so if they're feel free to say no. I loved your last two astarion fics, may I make a request? Something light and funny would do the Fandom good. How about a piece based on this interview (https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMjrnuB4T/), where our dear vampire boi gets changed into a goose (did he lockpick the wrong chest? Pissed off the wrong magical entity/camp member? Was hit by a random spell during a fight? You tell me)? It can wear off in a little but just on that short period of time, the group learns why Goosetarion is a menace all on it's own >:)

The camp was quiet. Karlach, gale and astarion having gone out to hunt down some deer for supper, your spend your time alone tidying you and astarion's shared tent, lifting tomes and parchment off the bed rolls and placing them neatly in the corner. You here karlach yell your name "Tav come quick!", you sprint out of the tent in a panic thinking something terrible had happened only to find Karlach wearing a grin "look what Mr shiny boots went and did to himself" you follow her thinking something bad had happened to Astarion, however your greeted with gale trying to corner a flailing goose, the goose makes eye contact with you before sprinting to hide behind you.

you raise an eyebrow at karlach and gale, she stifles a laugh motioning you to watch the scene unfold, gale reaches towards the hiding goose. The goose snaps at the sorcerer's hand, gale says "Astarion if you want turned back you have to work with me, not against me" Astarion? Your Astarion is the goose cowering behind your legs, you looked down at the goose behind your legs, the more you looked the more you could see Astarion's features, his crimson eyes, the small fangs that peaked out of his beak, the soft silver poof of feathers that sat on top of his head. "Astarion, my love is that you?" the goose cowers its head at you, almost as if hes embarrassed. You reach down to pet his head "whatever happened my darling?", karlach snorts "he got cocky tryin' to lock pick a cursed chest" gale nods "i did try to warn him tav but he didnt-" the goose flairs his wings up, hissing at the pair, gale steps back but karlach stands her ground laughing at him.

you promptly lift him, scooping him up into your arms, "and how long till it wears off" gale stops staring at the, clearly, pissed goose in your arms "um...should wear off during the night" you sigh, "alright 'starion, try and behave till this wears off"

the hours pass and your surprised that Astarion hadnt caused much trouble, despite snapping at Gale every time he comes near you, you finish stirring the stew that was bubbling away on the camp fire; noticing that astarion is no longer sulking near you, so you wander around the camp looking for your vampire goose.

"ASTARION GIVE THAT BACK" gale yells frantically as the white goose runs rampant with one of his scrolls, the goose flails his wings, showing off his dominance, you watch as gale manages to corner Astarion, he reaches for the scroll but astarion is quick to drop it and bite gale's hand, the wizard lets out a pained yelp, you decide its time to intervene. "Astarion! let go of gale" you scold your feathered lover, the goose studies you before letting go of poor gale's hand, the wizard cluthes it and disappears to nurse his bitten hand. You look down at him "astarion that wasnt very nice, you took his scrolls" however it seemed he wasnt listening, he waddled off back into your shared tent, you follow before screeching at him "ASTARION THATS MY SANDWICH!" you chase the goose around the camp before loosing your temper with him, "fine astarion keep the damn sandwich, it's not like i was hungry or anything, damn you" you throw your hands up in the air before disappearing back into your tent to sulk.

it was nightfall before you heard the pitter patter of his webbed feet, you pretend to be asleep, you sense him checking you over, perhaps he was wondering if you were awake, you feel the creature wiggle its way into your arms, you dont fight him, it lays its head under your chin, you listen as its breathing slows, you both fall asleep.

the morning comes, light peaks through the tent causing you to wake, however the lump next to you feels larger, warmer. you peak down, looking at astarion's sleeping face, you cant help but smile, you lean down and plant a soft kiss to the top of his head before whispering "your a menace my love" you feel him snuggle closer "im your menace my darling" you smile before huffing "you still owe me a sandwhich" you both break into soft giggles.

-Oh s***, Ladybug never cast miraculous cure. So Adrien has some perminant trauma from the fight with Nightormentor. He still sees the antichat visions (its not chat blanc, and its just reverse color pallet)

-Chat noir left. before he could tell her. Cause the nightmare messed with him

-WAIT DID TOMOE AND GABRIEL JUST LOCK THEIR CHILDREN IN STERILE ROOMS? WTF!

Okay! This episode was A LOT.

Well there is no denying Sentimonster theory. Its confirmed. Its done. 100% GUARANTEE NO MONEY BACK.

It did explain a LOT about Felix and Adrien.

So I am still iffy on how it was handled.

Now this DOES NOT justify Felix's Actions. He was still an a**hole. And Kagami shouldnt have told Felix. Marinette is Ladybug. That was NOT her secret to tell.

BUT the play that explained what happened was very well done. It explained a LOT about the Graham de Vanily family and Felix's a**hole father.

I will say that I hated how tortured Marinette was during this. Felix and Kagami could have done something less cruel to lure her there.

I also greatly enjoyed Chat noir vs Nightormentor. very good catharsis and we have Adrien going through some additional mental trauma, inflicted by his father (I wouldnt call it Ironic, more of EXPECTED)

I give it 7.5/10

I will say its the most I have enjoyed the second half of this season since Emotion.

Part 2: Orb Boy and The Angry talk about their masters and hunt.

(For context: Gale gets spawned by Lord Artor Morlin )

Gale tells the camp what up with him and his orb. But later in private he approaches Astarion and invites him to hunt.

Astarion gets on the defensive. But gale doesnt quite understand.

"Oh sorry. I didnt even consider that youd found time to feed on your own. My mistake.

"Wait. What? How do y- I dont know what you're talking about."'

"You-...can you not tell?"

"Tell what?"

"I suppose the most obvious tells are a bit overshadowed, arent they?" He gestures to the tattoo that covers his neck. A mix of runes and decorative beasts. His left eye simmered with a sickly dark violet and seemed to bleed magic down his cheek towards the brand on his chest.

"What in the hells are you on ab-oh...." he notices the scarring, and pays attention to the less impressive but just as unusual red eye. And finally he realizes he hears no heartbeat from the man. Nor does he breathe. "OH! well thats actually rather amusing isnt it. What are the odds?"

"You dont know the half of it. My master was about to bloody set me free when i was picked up. Rotten luck to be sure."

"Funnily enough I was freeing myself from mine when Iwas lifted. " gale could hear the deep seeded bitterness behind his light tone, and the seething jealousy and disgust. Oh he HATED him. Utterly despised him for having a master whod just go and free their spawn. He could feel that through the tadpole. Artor had often said that as cruel as he was, he was infamous and frankly looked down on for his leniency with his spawn.

"Is that why youve an old blanket with you."

"Its not a 'blanket' its my bur-...its a keepsake from my old life. You will do well to keep your hands off of it."

"So...hunting? I thought i spotted a few paladins heading north not an hour ago."

"Paladins? You...youre going after" thinking creatures. "People."

"Yes. Astarion. Im hungry." He spoke as if it was obvious, (because it was) but he could feel their irritation spike again. The fuck had he said to earn that? "Are you coming or not? I could certainly use the help. I doubt id be able to go after them alone. im sure i could pick off one of the tieflings ...but id honestly rather not. Id feel bloody awful."

"...alright....lead on then."

"Fannntastic. Glad to have you along, my friend."

"The bloody baron of waterdeep, artor morlin. Damned fascinating chap, if a bit lacking in basic empathy. Good man in general though, i would think. Not like that Kozakuran twat in baldurs gate."

They both crouchedbin the bushes while a curly haired merc and one other male chat while they head back to their camp with game in tow.

Gale noted how nervous astarion is, and wonders just how long it had been since cazador allowed him a proper meal.

"Ill take the larger one down first, you can have him."

"I can hunt my own food!"

"Are you sure? Youre shaking."

"Soon to be remedied, darling."

Nonetheless, gale went after the smaller of the two for himself, not realizing that astarion had frozen in place.

He pulled up from his meal while the bigger one fled like a fucking coward.

"Gah- Astarion! Youre going to lose him." He all but barked, blood flying like spittle from his teeth.

Astarion nearly fumbled, hesitating long enough to get stabbed in the side before his victim passed out.

Gods but he barely felt it though. Groaning as the nectar of gods slid down his throat.

He was nearly finished when gale aproached, pocketing what looked like a tiny body.

"Need any help cleaning up?"

"Hm? "

"I could shrink it down for you. Easier than mauling or burying the body. A spawn as young as you, im guessing youre still squeamish about supping on other people, yes?"

"The hells are you on about? Im well past my second century."

"Well yes, i understand how elves work. Im talking about your time as a sp-"

"Yes i bloody well know what youre talking about. And im saying its been a fucking eternity!!"

"...you...then why are you so..."

He looks over astarions general state of having been stabbed, and wasting so much of the mans blood to the bedrock they stood on under the crumbling bridge. Messy, sloppy, uncoordinated.

"Unpracticed..."

"Well forgive me if my table manners are a bit lacking!" He sneers. "Im rather used to rats and insects. No thinking creatures. Cazador always said....i always wondered if hed made up those rules. Now i know why he did...."

Gale was tempted to dig deeper, but perhaps now was a good time to just let astarion enjoy himself.

"This is your first taste of blood." Real blood at least, he thought.

"Proper blood at least" gale tried not to smile at that.

OK SO I FINISHED BG3 thoughts and stuff under the cut (spoilers obvs) . Pals and mutuals that played feel free to comment it with me, and also wyll enjoyers pls do interact fkfkdk

SPOILER about the ending

-Ok so i was playing a good tav dwarf paladin romancing wyll, got my team of wyll/lae'zel/karlach, but lae'zel felt like the real main character of this story and honestly its what she deserves.

-got orpheus and turned him into a mind flayer sorry bro. and then the emperor gets angry and fights with the baddies. like gosh this guy sucks

-saved the day yadda yadda and lae'zel went away to guide her kind and LOOK SHE IS MY BEST FRIEND FOREVER i was so sad but i knew it was what she wanted but IT PAINS ME

-then gale leaves me to become a god, and then astarion gets attacked by the sun and runs away and im like wow this ending is such a downer everyone is leaving me

-AND THEN. KARLACH.......

-Ok so i cried like a baby like. i fucked up i dont know what i did wrogn i cant believe karlach is gonna die im SOBBING

-But wyll is like "WE CAN LIVE ALL FIGHTING DEMONS IN HELL" and got the coolest shit ever of these 3 going on adventures like you dont know HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS ENDING!!! im so happy aaah TOT

-then there is the epilogue and it's the cutest thing i can hug shadow heart and halsin and karlach :_) tried with astarion but i dont know if its impossible or i had him too low (every companion loves me but he finds me acceptable fgoihdgfjiodgio) anyways i wanted to hug all my friends

-gale is a god and like good for him but im like ??? damn we dont see his mission or anything he does this all off screen?? i wanted to see his struggles and stuff idk i wanted to see the FEELINGS

-anyways idk if i got a bug or something but when i get to talk with people about what i am doing is just me and karlach and 0 mention of wyll idk why TOT let me talk about my romantic companion pls

-also i had like 2 options to talk with romanced wyll and way more conver with astarion wich again i didnt even have very high on his love for me (i do love him and my chara frienenemy status tho) but why only 2 options for wyll i wanna talk with him moreeee at the end

-he did blow me a kiss it was the cutest thing tho

-Again idk if i got a bug but i never get anyone commenting on my relationship with wyll and i know the companions gossip about karlach and probs other charas >-<

-i heard a friend who had to kill karlach to get to see her gale ending so i tried in another save to see what happened (it was awful btw) and that was the only way to get an extra scene of wyll telling me to go for mizora and having other people aknowledge him in the epilogue (just with jaheira it lets me say wyll, with astarion and shadow heart they gave me answer like "oh im with my lover" and such instead of by name)

-i am a big fan of wyll but not so much of wyll missions, like they are fun to play but gosh i wanted the cool FEELINGS moments like lae'zel, shadow heart, astarion and karlach had, i feel he is straight up a classic hero tale and i want to see this man overwhelming with feelings of all the stuff he suffered. also more stuff with the dad idk i couldnt even tell him im with his son that could had been cool

-gale also feels like ???? he didnt have a proper mission and was like off screen wich is a bit weird to me ??

-my fav chara is wyll and then second lae'zel who is perfect 0 notes on her 100% increible. Then Do Not Make Me Choose for the other origin companions i cant. I love them so much. I didn't like astarion at first and i was like "really this is the man all my friends and everyone is obsessed about??" but then act 3 arrived and i was like Ah. I Get It Now. I would say my less fav is gale but because i didnt bring him anywhere so next game im def paying him more attention.

-anyways i could have some notes but in general i fucking loved this game so much TOT

if i could ask for any changes for the bg3 dark urge playthrough in patch 7 i would ask larian studios for bigger reactions to the redeemed durge scene in act 3. and of course i am strange about bg3 and my ocs so i WILL be expanding on what could possibly happen because it truly felt so underwhelming :(( DARK URGE SPOILERS DOWN BELOW

okay SO the redeemed durge getting killed by bhaal in act 3 if you choose not to follow bhaal anymore. i am always of the opinion that a dark urge playthrough is THE way to play bg3 if you want to make an original character because you are truly involved in the story, integrated into the lore, and get to have great story moments like your fellow party members do!! the weight of your decisions is SO heavy, and you are given fantastic motive/underlying intentions to each decision, with this huge dilemma of "good versus evil" being far more important to the dark urge (in my opinion ofc). it's a huge buildup all the way up to the end, ESPECIALLY for me who played a redeemed dark urge character that was fighting with itself for the entire playthrough. and then it just sort of falls flat bgfhdgbsjfg

as mentioned before, the dark urge gets a lot more special cutscenes than a regular tav does, which makes it feel as if the durge is more strongly integrated into the narrative. and with these cutscenes comes the expectation that there will be some kind of resolution to their own personal journey (as the dark urge gets a much more specific one than simply "get rid of that tadpole and defeat the absolute"). most of the other party members get resolutions-- think astarions final battle with cazador, shadowheart resolving the situation with her parents, gales decision about whether he should blow up or not, etc. for the dark urge, this "final resolution" is the battle with orin and the decision they make concerning if they become bhaals chosen one or not. off the bat this is pretty damn cool already!! your oc gets their own special battle with their blood-sibling, they get special perks depending on if they succumbed to their urges or not, and it is truly the culmination of their personal journey. which is why its so INFURIATING that nobody CARESS

i played a dark urge cleric of "lathander" that was teetering back and forth between her worship. it was fun!! they were a redeemed dark urge, which meant they fought through the orin battle without any special perks, and afterwards didnt accept bhaals powers. the battle was cool. the talk with bhaal was admittedly pretty cool. but then, when it finally came down to her refusing to be bhaals chosen, she just kind of Dies. and so much of why the scene falls flat comes down to how LITTLE the companions react LMAO.

like that death is HORRIFYING!! they didnt just get killed normally, because that would mean they could be revivified. the dark urge gets UNMADE right in front of their party. a god of death contorts them in the middle of a bhaal temple, revokes the blood that had created them, and unmakes them entirely right then and there. thats SCARY! but there is SO LITTLE REACTION. they just look a LITTLE unnerved all of the sudden as the dark urge unravels right in front of them, and then we dont see the rest of their reactions. like this is somebody who has been travelling with them this entire time, in most cases has helped them with their own personal journeys, has made deep connections with them, and then when all of this happens theyre just kind like 😧

AND THEN WHEN YOU GET REVIVED THEY ARENT THAT FUSSED EITHER? most you get is a pat on the back and a good job. i really think they need bigger reactions all around

here are some beautiful suggestions from me because i have a lot of opinions. number 1 give the companions dialogue when the dark urge dies. right now where its at the companions are more devastated when you go down in battle than they are when you are UNMADE BY A GOD IN FRONT OF THEIR EYES lmao. edit the cutscene just a little bit so that characters are running up to your durge trying desperately to do something and it isnt working. have an overhead shot showing the people youve befriended running over with PANIC in their eyes because truly what can they even do here. and then when the dark urge falls suddenly limp and life has left their eyes, have an unbelievably tense moment of silence before the companion you are closest with (love interest if you have one) give one final "NO!!!!!" or something before the screen cuts to black

number 2 establish the durge's death as FAR MORE PERMANENT. because its dnd when a character dies there is always this safety net of "oh i can just revivify them". shadowheart is likely in the party and with how they react before/after the durge's unmaking it really does feel like all of your companions knew you could be easily revivified lmao. UP THE STAKES!! i mean fuck while youre at it have every character in your camp in this cutscene, so that when they are all panicking in that hypothetical scene i illustrated above shadowheart can give a worried line about how "revivify is impossible because this isnt death, this is an unmaking. a god has reclaimed them and i cant bring them back". when bhaal kills the dark urge, it should feel like they are truly GONE and characters should react accordingly

number 3 make it so the day has changed before the durge gets revived by withers. you wake up entirely alone in that temple, hell maybe you even wake up in a GRAVE, and the implication is that your companions truly tried everything they could but eventually realised they couldnt do anything. this gives withers' intervention FAR more weight, as it has now been established that he is one of the only people capable of reviving somebody who has been unmade by a god. not only that, but this second chance of life has now ALSO been given far more weight, because this was truly, TRULY a miracle. it is a MIRACLE you are alive right now. have the conversation with withers, and then have a small cutscene of everybody at camp looking forlorn and sad or whatever before you come stumbling in with withers behind you. everybody is surprised and happy, and your partner might even run up and say a few emotional lines and give you a hug or something. and then when you speak with all of them after the cutscene is over they all have stuff to say about how it is INSANE you survived, so not only are they patting you on the back for defeating your dark urges but they are also just so happy youre still there!! HAPPY ENDING!!!!! a lot more payoff!!!!!

34. How well do they deal with grief?

this is a difficult one because i dont know if theyve ever dealt with true grief .....trying to thonk.. i mean rather than experience grief afhiri will become immortal to never have to bury gale so one must assume it wouldn't be dealt with very well. but also does afhiri have the mental capacity to truly understand the complexity of grief and how to navigate it at all? would they just be sad and not really understand and just live with that until they don't? afhiri has never experienced the deaths most do in order to learn of grief as a concept. no grandparents to mourn, no pet deaths, and nothing happens in game that could trigger that in afhiri ...... after much deliberation i've come to the conclusion that afhiri does not understand the feeling, does not know the word for it (has to be taught), and deals with it in a very child like way. they understand it hurts, they don't like it, they want it to stop and they don't understand why this person, or pet, is gone, and just wants them to come back. very, why did you leave me . haha .. hurt myself now damn YOOUUU

38. What are their dreams like? Do they have any recurring dreams/nightmares?

ignoring the tadpole/guardian related dreams..... they absolutely have recurring nightmares of the moment in act 2 with the heart of the absolute where gale is intent on dying. see afhiri is intent on dying with him but has this nagging feeling that they could just decide to live, actually. wouldnt that be so much nicer? and i can see them repeating that moment in their head with the result of gale deciding that being alive together isnt enough and they need to die. haha this kind of falls in line with the other question doesnt it ahaha........ afhiri has grief inspired nightmares over a possibility that never actually occurred.

in General though we must accept that afhiri has the type of dreams we assume dogs to have. oh look, she's running! she's running in her sleep! is she.. chewing in her sleep ?? oh you know....very simple very happy having a good time doing her favourite things!!!! (playing the flute, hanging out with her friends, holding gales hand!!! etc etc )

43. Can they handle stressful situations?

oh yes, with incredible efficiency. (does not know theyre stressful) THIS IS A HALF JOKE. they handle many many many of the stressful situations in game extremely well because they are acting the entire time its all a performance they are doing a bit they are clownin on you right now and if anything stressful happens it washes over them because a clown can't get stressed in the middle of the bit, be a pretty terrible clown if that happened (still a terrible clown though)

however if its a serious (to afhiri) stressful situation like. boyfriend blow up time, afhiri is the type to look at their loved ones for help. how on earth can someone who can't string two thoughts together figure out the correct way to handle a situation that actually requires two thoughts. thats stressful man. someone please approach the stage and take this clowns hand. wheres their assistant !!!

it really comes down to how personally important they are to afhiri. this also means most of the games events are not personally important to afhiri and i still dont know why they let them lead???

you know i had a feeling i would end up having to break my oath to make an in-character choice, and it would have been cute and gay if it came as a consequence of something to do with gale, but all things considered im like, of course it would end up being related to astarion. an oath of the ancients paladin cannot just become besties with an undead vampire without enduring at least one major moral dilemma. gonna add a readmore for spoilers and rambling

i released the 7000 spawn. of course i did. the alternatives were to let them rot in cages for eternity or kill all of them. im curious if letting astarion complete the ritual would have broken the oath as well. It would be painfully ironic if the answer was no. but when it came down to make a choice between protecting the innocent and destroying the undead, my paladin chose to protect the innocent, and that was apparently the wrong answer. But really, it was the only answer that didnt prove them to be a complete hypocrite.

i like this a lot as the logical conclusion of their friendship with astarion, extreme opposites meeting in the middle. specifically im thinking of a line you get from him early on, when he tries to convince you to take control of the cult of the absolute. if you say "that is evil power" he says something along the lines of, "power is just power, its the people who use it who are good or evil." Damn if that isn't almost exactly the same sentiment you get form your conversation with the oathbreaker knight.

i have an imagined backstory for my tav that is related to the character they're based on--which is, ironically, also an oathbreaker paladin. That character broke his oath because he refused to give up on someone he loved past the point when they were dangerous to keep alive, and betrayed another paladin to protect them. But for my Tav, I let the opposite be true--they did give up on that person, because their order had convinced them it was the right thing to do, and as a result they had to watch their loved one die. So my Tav carried a deep sense of regret their whole life for that one mistake, and made a personal conviction to never give up on someone who needed them, or who they loved.

That conviction is what I imagine lead them down the morally dubious paths they had to take to complete the various companion quests, and on some level, i think they knew that eventually the oath they made to their god and the oath they made to themself would split. this backstory tidbit also adds a lot of extra layers to the line you say to gale (if you are romancing him) when you confront the elder brain at the end of act two, to "choose the one who loves you." because thats exactly what they failed to do, and it was a mistake they refuse to make again.

And in a game where gods are generally not to be trusted, my paladin abandoning an oath in favor of their own sense of justice thematically makes a lot more sense then being like, rip to you guys but my god is different lmao (although i guess selune is shown to be unambiguously good but thats only because shes standing next to shar, the bitch of all time.) also when romancing gale theres something kind of extra gay about "lets abandon our gods together." im sure gale would have a LOT to say to a distressed paladin with a freshly broken oath given everything with mystra being just as fresh.

mechanically though, idk if i can keep this change lmao. i rely way too much on misty step to give it up as a spell. Unless i dual class in to something else that gives me misty step. or i can just stay next to gale every fight and rely on him dragging me around with dimension door lmao--i do have at least one item that gives me one free misty step per short rest. also not having speak with animals will shatter my heart lmfao. i guess ill decide tomorrow if i want to reclaim my oath for purely mechanical reasons and just hc the oath staying broken, or actually commit to the practical consequences. I could also just like. try it out for awhile and talk to the knight again if i change my mind. at least i fucking hope thats the case lol.

Okay so I just finished with 5x08 and first off: fuck Justin’s dad. Second of all: damn, i wish that somehow it would’ve been Brian that had to help get Justin out of prison. I just know he’d have something to say but also would be very protective about it. Now: the Ted and Brian conversation KILLED me! The fact that Brian actually admitted all that to Ted? Fuck! I wish i could just give him a huge hug. Also, i love that Brian didn’t end up sleeping with that guy. Aso im glad the bet is over but i will say, the moment when the camera pans to Brian on the plane? I actually laughed so hard. No matter how bad an episode or storyline is, Brian is always funny. The ending got me though ngl. Part of me is confused and the other part is hoping that whatever that means it’s something good for Britin (the you can lock the doors, bar the windows but eventually it’ll get in’ part) he is killing me! Also honorable mentions: i love Lindsey and Brian’s friendship so much, and that moment when he banged his head in the attic before she told him about moving on from his past, if they didnt mention him hitting his head, id fully believe that Gale actually hit himself. And my all time favorite mention, that is actually also a fave Brian moment. I love that there are multiple moments throughout the series, where someone tells him nice things or compliments him or says they wanna help and he goes ‘thats so nice..now what do you need?’ Or like the getting Justin back from NY moment (which btw i still wish we got a little bit of a car moment for the back trip) when Emmett and Ted say theyre going with him because he’s their friend and he says thats nice, now whats the real reason?’ I just love how he always sees through a person and also never takes it as an insult but kinda loves it in a way. Anyway so sorry for rambling about episodes but it’s killing me that It’s ending slowly and there’s no one i know that watched/watches the show :/

Justin's dad being the same piece of shit he was since day one, disappointed but not surprised. The scene with Ted and Brian is one of my favourite ever moments, Brian's self awareness into how his parents fucked him up so that he cannot love properly without fear <- relatable. This is the angle I wish they'd leaned into for him in S5 can you imagine?! Also Ted and Brian's friendship developing at Kinnetik is so important to me.

It is bittersweet because anyone complimenting him in a real way or showing concern he finds it hard to hear, Brian is the caretaker that's his job, he does the fixing around here you flip it on him and he doesn't know how to deal with the vulnerability. So he covers it with wit and sarcasm, and addiction issues. Apart from the afore mentioned moment with Ted, however he said it didn't make him feel better, but it did Ted. He's not one to spill his guts - child of trauma syndrome.

Thoughts I Had While Re-Watching The Hunger Games After 6 Years

1. I was crying for the first couple of minutes but as soon as Katniss went hunting and she met up with Gale I realized that the acting is so bad. Like literally horrific. At first i thought I was going to throw up because I loved it so much but now I'm going to throw up because its so bad

2. The only emotion I’m feeling in all of this so far is because of the prim and katniss sister relationship

moon ball: in the pokemo games do you prefer morning or night night more than likely cause it's always day in a million old games. especially if the music changes at night (great example: dppt outside pokemon league at night)

dive ball: favorite water route/area in pokemon dragon's den! i love the music and playing crystal the first time and going there was super serioues. i remember having a serious expression on my face as i answered all the questions honestly to get my dratini.

luxury ball: if pokemon were real, would you travel alone or with friends? not really sure. i would more than likely pursue the pokemon league and if my friends wanted to come with me i would be more than happy! but idk... i'd probably tavel alone cause i'd totally be in a "my pace" zone and i would feel bad if i got impatient if someone couldn't keep him... more than likely, i'd be by myself but would meet up with friends often!

quick ball: luckiest pokemon memory a few... oh! one time i was playing crystal and early in the game i encounter raikou and was trying to catch it, but my dad got mad at me for something and he was yelling at me and it was awkward cause my game was still on and i was just holding it... even tho i wasn't playing it or anything while he was yelling, he snatched it from me and since it was the delicate gba cartridge in a gameboy sp it messed up and i didn't save... SO when he was done yelling and i played again, i unknowingly did the same actions before and encounter raikou again and caught it in my first try! also i've won like 10 tumblr give aways and 7 of them were for shiny pokemon

dusk ball: unluckiest pokemon memory about ~70 floors in pokemon mystery dungeon i finally encounter mew .if u don't know mew is only post game in one dungeon and only spawns either with the first pokemon that spawn when the room loads or monster house. also the dungeon sets you to level one (im p sure) and also sets you in with no items. i don't recall if you had to go in alone or not. BUT i finally got a monster house with mew but it didn't join me... i cleared the dungeon without seeing another and i was just tired LOL

cherish ball: best pokemon memory one day my parents went out shopping while i was sleeping during summer and i was home alone. my dog came upstairs into my room even tho she wasn't suppose to and i got up and made pancakes. i gave her a tiny pancake and we watched pokemon.

park ball: worst pokemon memory AFTER A MILLION TIMES OF TRYING i finally beat red in pokemon crystal but we had to go somewhere and i was still going through the credits and couldn't save and my dad was like "you can't take your gameboy" took it from me (what a surprise) and closed it. the battery died and the best part was, my mom didn't know why he didn't let me bring my game cause me and her were sitting in a car waiting for like almost 2 hours :)

Okay this needs to be said.

The Hunger Games is a good series. The books were. But im gonna say this. Yall are gremlins for bagging on it now after the fact.

The movies could have been better, but let's look at the books. Now I haven't read the books in a few years so my memory is hazy. Feel free to correct me, but don't be aggressive about it.

The love triangle: I have never been a fan of love triangles. Most of all the "oh! Two hot guys love me and I have feelings for both of them woe is me!" And while Suzanne Collins can write what she wants, to this day I don't like how she ended it. You had like 10 years to read this story so Spoilers ahead.

Katniss should not have ended up with Peeta. And on the same mark, she shouldn't have ended up with Gale either and thankfully she didnt. Katniss was right in that being the last thing she needed was more anger in her life. But I don't think saying that Peeta is the only help that can be given. Ver-batum "What I need is the dandelion in the spring...that it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that" Katniss suffers from fits of PTSD post the first novel. I'm not a psycologist, and my 2 trimesters of high school psych. Concepts and personal Psych don't mean shit, but I think I studied mental disorders enough to where YOU DON'T FOCUS ON ONE PERSON TO THROW YOUR PROBLEMS ONTO. Let alone Peeta had PTSD for the same reasons, then the tracker jacker (is think that's it. Can't remember. The bees) interrogation. Katniss needed professional and prolonged help, and I don't recall her getting it. I don't know if I'm coming off as too brutal, but this needs to be said. It's nice to talk to someone, but to make that person the one thing that keeps you stable is not a good mindset.

Gale. Now, I liked Gale. I enjoy seeing brotherly dynamics that don't "evolve" into love beyond friendship. But of course you have to include a child best friend in these kinds of stories. And I had that creeping suspicion the entire time the "you knew this man for years you'll go out with him" moment would come. And in book two it did. And then I disliked Gale for having been a total ass, like Katniss betrayed his trust when she had to kiss Peeta during the games. The woman was allowed to make her own choices, put on your big boy pants and stop acting like you deserved her.

Now that my biggest bugbears area out of the way, let's talk about what they did right, albeit some of them are right just barely (Sorry if my wording doesn't make too much sense. Most people who know me decipher what I mean rather easily when I rant)

The Human Cost: As anyone who read the series would point out, or remotely knows about it, the story was bloody and conflict driven. It wasn't watered down (for the audience considered, it wasn't). I was 14 when I read the series. The young adult audience Collins had in mind. Before then, I read mythologies and slice of life manga, if the most brutal I read was DBZ (They didn't have that in the school library though) so the time I read it, I was in shock. A child like Rue dying, that was jarring. Then the attack on the Capital. The moment with Prim and all the other children. Children as war casualties. 14 year old me still only thought that adults died in war, all I knew was that refugees were a thing. Im turning 20, I know it's much more than that now. But reading the death of those who were trying to help the hurt, that scared the life out if me. So I think Collins did well, if not hit the line, with the war.

Traumatic Events Affecting the Psyche: A lot, and I mean a lot of writers do this. They write off the after affects of battles. What should have been a traumatic event they just. Shrug off. Katniss, Peeta, Haymitch, and several other tributes develop with some form of mental harm because of the game. What Haymitch saw made him an alcoholic for Christ's sake. Katniss' only way to deal with what she saw was to hunt, but even then, she got flashbacks. And Peeta was a mess midway through Mockingjay. It showed how ones mental state can be affected in times fear and violence.

Now, I'm gonna adress a few problems I had with the movie.

The Casting: I did wish the cast was more diverse, but once you realize how vague a lot of descriptions are, you'd get why they just went for "copy paste white dude/woman." Katniss and a lot of people in the Seam were described as "olive skinned and black hair' which sounds like ...Mediterranean decent to me? I don't know how you can solve that. Don't know many Mediterranean actors. And yeah, making damn near the entirety of District 11, the agriculture district, African American wasn't the best idea now that I look back at it. It smells heavily of a throwback to Civil War America. A lot of descriptions were loose at the end of the day.

The Hunger Games isn't the perfect story. Now with what I read, it's far from it. But it was my first Dystopia. And it was my first series. That won't stop me from admitting it's problems. But it was good, and it still holds up as "Baby's first military run state" story.
