So I did a thing...

I decided to make a dedicated side blog! It's something I've been wanting to do for a while now, and since it's 2023, I figured that I'd finally do it.

Nothing on this blog will change, you'll still get fanfiction updates from my main blog. This side blog is mainly for a fandom oriented that I've been meaning to get more involved in for a while now. The reason why it's taken me so long to do this? I'm a little nervous to say it out loud, but at the same time I love the community and I shouldn't be ashamed of my passions.

To put it simply, I'm in the Thomas the Tank Engine fandom.

I've been hinting at it for a while, so I might as well come out and say it. It started out as a joke back when I was around 13 or so. I accidentally found the community here on Tumblr while I was browsing for fanfictions. What immediately caught my attention were all the humanizations and aus that people were doing...especially for a blog in particular.

The Blogs Asktrio and @dilemmaart was the catalyst for me finding all of this. While there are plenty more that got me interested in the fandom, she was the one who started it all for me and likely many others. She's such a talented and kind human being and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the fandom. Her artwork and stories, Thomas related or not, will always have a place in my heart. She's inspired so many people, and I hope that I can do the same for others one day.

I know this isn't the best way to thank her for everything, (trust me, I got something in the works for a big surprise. In case you haven't notice, I'm a poor planer and I have the attention span of a squirrel lmao), but I can't explain how I got here without bringing her up at least once. She's a great person, and I highly recommend checking her blogs out!

Getting back to the story, as I got older, I fell out of it for a few years, and stopped looking at projects and the stuff here on Tumblr. I can't remember how or when it happened, but I've been getting back into it thanks to all of the new talented people who have joined on here recently. That, and I'm now heavily invested in the lore. (Yes, there's lore. Yes, it's crazy and I love it).

I know this isn't anything huge or exciting, but I really do want to give back to the community that I've been watching for years now. And now that I have an account here, it's high time that I got to that.

Don't worry, I'll still be working on the Sequel fic and other fanfics! I've put so much into that, and I'm not going to abandon it until it's done! If anything, this just means more content from me! I got a lot of old stuff and old aus that I want to share, and I

Here's my controversial opinion; if you're trying to write Bruce as a non-abusive, good parent, you should also write him respecting his kids' privacy, boundaries, and not stalking&surveying them.

sometimes I forget that my experience has been. um. not 'your experiences are not universal' vibes but more like 'your experiences are EXTREMELY atypical'

#red said #recent events have reminded me that my life has involved like. a LOT of other people's psychosis #like not in a way where i have been Beset By Terrifying Crazies bc that's not like. a thing.#but a lot of people in my life have had a lot of really severe psychotic episodes #and i FORGET sometimes. that actually that is an Unusual Amount Of Experience With Psychosis for someone who's not #for somebody who has not really personally ever had psychotic episodes (unless severe PTSD flashbacks count)#actually i tell a lie i have maybe had One psychotic episode but because it was very situational and i knew what was happening #i was able to ride it out. because i am literally only psychotic Inside Hospitals and so that's all fine #as long as i LITERALLY NEVER HAVE TO HAVE INPATIENT CARE. Very important to me to never ever ever require surgery i think.#i can handle the amount of psychosis i get from a 1-4 hour stopoff in hospital #as long as i know I'm leaving soon then i can just Cope with the fact that the walls are moving and reality is thin #ANYWAY that's not the point the point is i forget! that most ppl i know have experience of at most a handful of severe psychotic episodes #some people i know have experienced more for sure. especially if the episodes were mostly theirs.#but people really seem to expect me to be more freaked out by their symptoms of psychosis than i am #bc i don't think i really register it as frightening unless they're in actual danger or Currently Aggressing Actually At Me #like i WORRY about them bc it can super suck but it's not SHOCKING or WEIRD #there have definitely been times ive been frightened. one time i woke up in the night and my friend was standing over me with a knife #but also like he was still HIM he was just having a moment. and as soon as i got the knife off him he just came back and broke down.#and we were fine and he was safe and i learnt the valuable lesson that even when people seem like they wanna kill you they probably don't #tbf now I'm thinking about it it's honestly a tossup whether he was there to threaten or because he felt a need to guard us #like to be clear probably don't try and take a knife off someone having a psychotic break. i was 17 and it was 3am and i knew him very well #i probably did not make the smartest call but nobody got hurt is the point #anyway you know there's that kind of psychotic episode and my granny got very violently angry a few times. buuuut you know there's also #been plenty of other times I've been with somebody having an episode and it's been chill as hell.#my ex saw and heard monsters so much that eventually she just got sick of being scared. we used to watch TV with them #i would sometimes have to sit on a bit of sofa that wasn't haunted and we might not be able to watch certain things bc they didn't like it #most of the time she was hallucinating there was absolutely nothing to worry about we just had a few extra variables #honestly of everyone i know who's had psychotic episodes or schizophrenia the amount of times it's been a material risk #is like. low single figures? maybe low double if you include self harm but idk what the cause and effect is there.#idk why you would need to be frightened like 99.99% of the time it truly is usually just Oh No That Seems Distressing For You I'm Sorry

Rey, who is in my very biased opinion, one of the funniest "girls" I have because she's just a guy, truly. Like Rey is just short for Reynold because he was recruited by a a goddess to help the hero she selected and the hero is conveniently Reynold's younger brother. So he agrees to help under the condition that the goddess gives him a female body for the other world. She's like "really odd flex but whatever" and gives him a female form and he's like "you know. I can't really blame anyone but myself for not specifying 'please don't turn me into a Lisa Frank personification'."

I am so fucking sick of living with my roommate and his fuck ass boyfriend. Also watching my roommate burn every single one of his (already rather minimal, I might add) bridges for this guy is also kind of painful but also his relationship with me is one of said bridges so I'm almost past the point of even feeling bad for him lmao

okay im reading an unauthorized fan treatise and im loving it already. just finished the prologue and it’s just. perfectly captured the energy of toxic fandom culture. the absolute speculation… i’ve avoided spoilers and i’ve once again literally only just finished the prologue so idk if this is a running theme or something ppl already talk about one of my favorite details so far is just. how much the fandom (or at least the part we see) ignores anya. like it starts with an article talking about how she’s the star of the show and literally no one talks about her or her character. gottie literally removes her section of the interview. that’s so fucking real. the amount of fandoms i’ve been in that just ignore the girl characters/actors to instead focus on gay romance (that most of the time doesn’t exist) is staggering

A succubus and a demon! (The succubi don't have names but the demon is Kronos and the succubus is one of his bosses in Hell and he's not /fond/ of the succubi for many reasons but they all adore picking on him)

Also because I love them and like to point it out, the succubi act more as pleasure dealers in the sense of they offer up whatever a human wants most in exchange for their soul. It's rarely of a sexual nature since it's what they want MOST in life. And most people's ambitions are outside of a bedroom. #my characters #did i make succubi in a plot that i could fall victim to as an asexual personally? yeah #kronos is just a petty lil baby with a younger brother who is very nice for a demon #kronos is responsible for being a dick to everyone in the plot and yet has the weirdest morals and its not fine #but hes gonna make that everyone elses problem not his #for instance he originally goes to earth bc a human has somehow just stolen all of the Devils attention and its annoying #why fixate on one human doomed to Hell just let the guy live and die then fixate #so he goes to kill the human but ends up saving the guy and then agonizes because even as a demon #its REALLY tacky to save someone and then kill them #so he doesnt kill him and instead demands to be a roommate until he returns to hell #and then they team up to kill demons and other creatures that seem obsessed with the human #and so they just kinda kill and banish demons back to hell and its fiiiine kronos is just causing problems for Hell #thats not even a new issue hes always doing that !#and then they meet a siren who refuses to talk and kronos is like oh time to be the biggest dick ever #and is like well if she wont talk and she needs a name i vote halibut #as a mean joke bc why would she want to be named after a fish #and she lights up and is SUPER happy and nods and beams and is so happy with her new name #and then the human is like well she needs more clothes than one outfit right #also shes barefoot and its cold i need to buy her shoes idk what tho #and kronos is like here buy her these rainboots and so the guy buys them and is like just wear these #until you can show me what you want bought ok and halibut is in love with her cute lil yellow rainboots #so basically everything kronos does out of spite to the weird mute siren (by choice) backfires #and she adores him and doesnt know hes trying to be mean to her #anyway the succubi collectively like to pick on the really silly and childish demons they outrank #like kronos! so he is constantly a target for them to mock which is why he isnt fond of them which fuels them more #the succubi are just really chill most of the time though ?#and its just. i love my succubi ok theyre wonderful #and that has been another story time in the tags bye
