It's only in these little moments where Merryrose lets his lips loose. Devoid of the usual teasing and mischievous tone that decorated his voice whenever he was face to face with Adel, he found himself shifting to something much more sincere—softer. He was almost certain that he wouldn't wake up anyway, he was awake for three days straight trying to finish a dress for a princess in a faraway land.

He found his gaze drifting to the sketches scattered on his desk. They were all exquisite in their own way, any normal person would kill to have a chance to wear one of his designs but the ones in front of him were scrapped ideas that had no place to stay in his kingdom overflowing with fabrics and threads. However, Merryrose discovered a little habit Adel has.

Noticing such a small detail almost made Merryrose pity himself. Did he pay attention that much? Either way, it was too late.

The habit was quite simple once he figured it out. The scrapped designs Adel actually liked are hidden at the very bottom of the pile on his desk; Merry knew that he scrapped them because it didn't align with his client's vision... that's how it usually goes up until now.

It was impossible to hide the way Merryrose's face flushed when he caught sight of the sketch he dug from the very bottom of the pile. Embarrassing him wasn't exactly an easy task (it's usually the other way around) but when he does get embarrassed, it gets everyone else morbidly curious. His lips quivered slightly, pink dusting his cheeks and he can't help the way his tone shifted into something close to what seems to be bliss.

"Ahaha..." He had to stop his hand from touching his sleeping beauty's hair. "Do you like me that much? I can't believe you drew me!"

Adel doesn't wake up. Merryrose wished he did. He pondered if he should give him a kiss for a split second.

"And here you are, always pretending that you don't want me around. What a typical tsundere. Heh... You really are the cutest."
