the fact that buck didn't start smiling or try to play it off as a joke when eddie asked if he was okay. bc with maddie and the others he felt like he had to be okay FOR them. like they were waiting for him to fall apart but he just couldn't allow himself that, because no matter how much he loves them, he can never be truly vulnerable with them without feeling like a burden. but with eddie, he doesn't have that. eddie is his safe place, the person who has seen him at his worst and let buck see him at his worst. so no, he didn't play dying off as a joke bc this was eddie and eddie never needed him to pretend to be alright, he only needed him to be there, alive and with eddie. that's the difference.

it really boils down to buck saying "you don't need to pretend with me" in s5. because they don't, they really don't have to pretend with each other and now that eddie is in a better place he can recognize that and apply it to their relationship as well.

how can it be possible to try a child as an adult. isn't the point of having separate legal processes for children and adults that children are. different from adults. like if you want to just argue that that's not true and children are exactly the same as adults and if they do bad things then they should be held to the same standards as adults who do bad things that's one thing. You check the Google search trends for the words, 'Undertale' and 'Meglovania,' among several other words and phrases more unique to the game and fandom than 'Sans,' and 'Papyrus.' You want to get to the bottom of this, but you're pretty sure those character names won't get you any closer to an answer with how common they are to describe non-Undertale related things.

It's somehow not a surprise to you when search trends show that exactly zero people are looking for the answers you are.

Okay, so that kicks the possibility of finding anyone else who remembers Undertale.

No, you definitely couldn't, especially not the game itself. You aren't a one-man game dev team, and the idea of trying to profit off someone else's ideas like that makes you feel slimy. Even if you're in an alternate dimension or if your brain actually came up with everything and created false memories, you couldn't bring yourself to claim what you feel is someone else's intellectual property. You'll just have to quietly remember on your own and create fan-content privately from now on. That thought makes you feel kind of alone…

You push that down and bottle it up for future you to deal with. Right now you need to determine how and why this happened through some gentle research. No need to end up on any government watchlists.
