The wildest thing about Ben 10 is that it took until 2005 for someone to have the idea "what if a kid could turn into a bunch of aliens" like this isn't obviously the coolest and most marketable premise for anything ever. Each design is a new toy. A new powerset. Come on.
But to prove that it wasn't a fluke, they continued to have the best ideas for every aspect of it. How does he transform? A cool watch you can also sell as a toy. That watch's name? Omnitrix. Say it. It's so satisfying. How many aliens? Ten. Nice round number. The kid's name? Ben. The show's name? Ben Ten. His full name is Benjamin Tennyson, a normal, plausible name, but he also turns into 10 aliens.
Bigger brands dream about this synergy. Better writers would kill for this coherence. So holistic. So intuitive. The identity alone!!! The retro alien sound motif? Chilling. The green? Any other color would be wrong. The kirby krackle pattern? It seems so obvious in retrospect. The roadtrip format? Genius. Lesser writers would've done the spider-man high school thing. His arch nemesis being Cthulhu darth vader? Inspired, iconic, intimidating!
The execution has its highs and lows, but the idea??? Game changing. So self-evident that it seems inevitable. If Ben 10 didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent him.

actually always thinking of darth vader through a transgender lense bc i’m insane but also bc it is SO EASY to do a trans reading of his whole deal like to me, personally, in the star wars in my brain that is better than yours and doesn’t gaf about authorial intent, darth vader is in part a manifestation/personification of the horrifying feelings of loss of control that come with long-term repression/closeting or forced detransition. and this works on a purely superficial level because darth vader is hypermasculine in a way that starkly contrasts a lot of anakin’s softer/more androgynous traits but if we are to actually think beyond the superficial the themes of loss of autonomy and rejection of personal identity in favor of one given to you are veryyyy resonant from a trans perspective. constant insistent rejection of your true self. “that name no longer has any meaning to me.” even his voice is not his own. etc etc. vader is a reinvention of anakin but that reinvention is into an empty husk whose entire existence is to be another person’s pawn. vader is not so much a new identity as he is a lack of one. and i don’t want to dismiss that on a literal textual level disability is a part of the Body aspect but all this is far less about his injuries and part more about how they’re treated, specifically how his body is altered in ways that are entirely about creating a more imposing image and basically turning him into a weapon (there is no reason for him to be 6’7), and that again ties into the idea of Erosion Of Self. and i think these aspects come together in a way that is so easy to read as trans, or at least that resonates with me as a trans person, because so much of repressing as a trans person is inventing an empty version of yourself and accepting your physical state as something you are fundamentally not in control of and self-denial for others. and vader encompasses a lot of those feelings taken to body horror space opera extremes
#some of this is very specific to my transfem anakin hc but i am trying to hit on some broader themes and ideas#because i think regardless of headcanons one can do a Queer Reading of vader and his relationship to his body and identity#and The Body and The Self in general. to me anything about the malleability of either is easy to make transgender#darth vader#anakin skywalker#star wars#anakin gender tag#keat.txt

fellas. fellas we are at "describes their past self as an entirely separate person that they violently hate and need to see wiped from existence at all costs but also upon seeing her* exist as a separate entity they break down crying doing whatever she wants even if that includes killing them on the spot and even when they get their mojo back all they can think about is how beautiful she looked even when she was actively trying to end their life but also a minute later they still insist she's horrible and they want her scorched off the face of the earth" levels of crisis. fellas they are combusting.

part 1 of 4
The stars have died, fizzling out into oblivion. All that remains is a charcoal heart that once belonged to Anakin Skywalker.
The boy from Tatooine is unreachable now, trapped inside the twisted soul of Darth Vader. The galaxy’s beloved Hero With No Fear is gone. With the rise of the Empire, the Jedi and their sympathisers will be erased from memory. A clean slate to start a new era.
Three years after the creation of the Empire, Darth Vader stands alone. His tower on Mustafar is isolating; its strategic position is a constant reminder of that day. His injuries still hurt sometimes: phantom itches on his now metal legs; scars from his burns that did not fully heal. The medical droids say he is lucky — the fire could have done more serious damage, and he could have been forced to rely on a suit keeping him alive for the rest of his days. Instead, the ebony coloured mask and suit he wears are to conceal his identity. A precaution so that Anakin Skywalker can fade from people’s tongues and memory, leaving the tyranny of Darth Vader in its place.
The weight of his failures is not the heaviest burden. Darth Vader drowns in his anger and grief. He was not strong enough to kill Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was not strong enough to save you.
(All things die. Even stars burn out.)
You were the stars in his sky, his light in the dark, the silvery moon to his blazing sun. So tender and kind. Perhaps your heart was too good for this world. Perhaps, it was your weakness all along. (How could peace ever love a dragon?)
Since you met, you had been Anakin’s sun. You anchored him; guided him home. You were his destiny. And, without you, the galaxy had turned cold. The fiery world outside, all hot air and lava fields, only stood as a reminder of his failure. He’d lost you. After everything Anakin had tried — surrendering himself to the dark side, betraying the light — he could not save you. Time had not quelled the pain.
Vader wonders if you would still recognise him. His copper hair has grown longer (he remembers how you used to cut it for him after he returned from another mission, and you’d giggle as you braided thin locks together), but his face hides behind an obsidian mask. You always loved the blue of Anakin’s eyes, but now they are blazing amber.
Mornings are the only time Vader allows himself to dwell on the past. It is when he finds himself alone and does not have to hide.
Vader recalls how you arrived on Mustafar like it was yesterday. (You haunt him every waking moment.) He could sense your conflicted emotions as soon as you disembarked your ship. Vader wasted no time approaching you, drawing you into his arms (where you belonged; where you were safe). His lips reconnected with yours, fitting together like puzzle pieces as he kissed you hungrily, his hands settled on your hips to keep you close.
You and Anakin had met after turning nineteen. He and Obi-Wan were called to Alderaan to protect the Queen and Viceroy from an assassination attempt. Being their ward, you had been there the whole time and quickly formed a connection with the young padawan — your relationship had blossomed during the Clone Wars.
He rested his forehead against yours as you spoke. “I heard terrible things. Tell me none of it is true.”
Vader hadn’t replied immediately and instead drew his head back to look at you. He would tell you any sweet lie if he needed to as he fought to quell the anger flaring in his eyes. “What have you been told?”
“Obi-Wan told me—”
Vader’s grasp around you tightened protectively. “Obi-Wan is alive?”
“He said you’d killed Jedi. Killed younglings.”
“You must not believe him, my love. He’s a traitor.”
It wasn’t the answer you sought, and you took a step backwards out of your husband’s grasp. “What have you done?”
“I did this for you. To save you.” He cupped your chin in his flesh hand and whispered your name. “I love you.”
Your eyes trained into his. There was no denial, no remorse in his stature; his only regret was letting Obi-Wan tell you anything.
He repeated his words. “I did this for you.”
From the shadows of your cloak, you drew a blaster. Only a small, weak thing. Vader watched your hands tremble. He did admire your courage. “Fix this,” you demanded. “Please,” you begged.
Anger flickered in Vader’s eyes. He had never seen you unimpressed with him. With an easy glide of his hand, Vader used the Force to knock the blaster out of your grip and pin your arms by your sides
“I am stronger than the Chancellor now,” he explained desperately, drawing you to his side. “I can overthrow him. Then you and I can be together; we can run away — just like you always wanted to.”
(But you didn’t. He lost you. Some might call you a traitor — Vader maintains that you were misguided.)
Three years later, regret still festers inside Vader’s hollow soul. There must have been a way to save you.
He misses you endlessly: craving your touch and the sound of your voice. (There is nothing Vader desires more than to have you back in his arms.)
Part of him wants to forget. To cast his memories of you into an abyss; to put the past behind him. But it is an impossible task. You are too well tangled into his soul. You haunt him. (And you’ll haunt him until his death.)
Today, there is no time to focus on you. A new morning brings meetings and training. You were Anakin’s Achilles Heel — but Darth Vader shows no such weakness. As Vader sits on his throne, reading over mission logs and other updates from the spread of the Empire across the galaxy, he receives a message: he must make his return to Coruscant immediately. (Your memory pulls him under the ocean again until he can no longer breathe.)

Headcanons for being a Skywalker triplet and being raised in the Empire
Skywalkers x sibling!reader
warnings: death and destruction. reader lowkey evil in the first half
a/n: yeah,,,its based on an oc. timeline is slightly out of order/weird bc im doing it from memory
prompt:
when you were born, you and your other two siblings were separated
your brother was sent to live with an uncle on tattooine
your sister was raised by alderaan nobility
and you, you never made it to your destination
the ship that carried you and the jedi that would care for you was intercepted, you were taken and brought to your father, anakin—now known as darth vader
as far as he knew, you were the only child and he had killed your mother, padmé
the emperor saw use for you and decided you’d be kept within the empire, vader could be close and you’d know your father, but you were not to reveal your true identities
“father, you used to be a jedi?” -you
“i was once, but that was a long time ago” -vader
“what happened?” -you
“the order betrayed me, sent my master to kill me. they could not be trusted, which is why we must kill all jedi” -vader
“yes, father” -you
your training to be an inquisitor was overseen by vader, who grew more and more angry at your spar partner every time you were hit
“patience, vader. you must not show weakness—or else i will kill y/n myself” -palpatine
you had a lot of weight on your shoulders. hiding the fact you were anakin skywalker and padmé amidala’s child. vader’s child. palpatine always had his eye on you. he wanted you to be one of his soldiers
you were very young when you were appointed an inquisitor role. about 13
and you had been given a new last name as not to tip off anyone in the empire
you often reported to vader—a petty complaint or a real crime
“another inquisitor compared me to a bantha” -you
“it will be dealt with” -vader
that inquisitor was dead by the end of the day
you were tasked with a lot of special missions, trusted with sensitive information—the other inquisitors noticed and were very jealous
but palpatine was impressed by the way you handled yourself
“y/n, you remind me of your father when he was young. powerful, strong, passionate. one day you may have a place by my side” -palpatine
you were shaken by that offer as you knew the rule of twos
rebels feared you, an inquisitor who swiftly wiped them from the galaxy without a second thought
the clone wars fascinated you, and as much as you wanted to pry for information from your father, you conceded
but you always heard whispers of anakin skywalker’s famed 501st legion and his padawan, ahsoka
you always wondered if he compared the two of you
sometime, when away from palpatine—often on mustafar—you’d be vader’s child and not another inquisitor. you’d be able to spar and speak a bit more freely.
“your mother. she was a politician. formerly the queen of naboo when she was your age. i…loved her dearly. but the jedi forbid it, we had to keep it a secret” -vader
“would the emperor have allowed it?” -you
“he was one of few who knew” -vader
some days he wished he were just anakin and the three of you lived peacefully on naboo. he wished you were not a soldier like him. but he was truly proud of what you’d amounted to
your faith in the empire started to falter around the time the ghost crew began to wreak havoc
as capable as you were, you hesitated to use your full potential to take them out
and it was noticed
“you will not show these criminals mercy, y/n! you take them out, or i will find someone more deserving of power!” -palpatine
it was around age 16 you questioned the cause
analyzed it without the influence of palpatine or vader or any soldiers
unfortunately, it wasn’t that simple
some years later, you were assigned to the death star—an honor, it was
one day you and vader had captured princess leia of alderaan and you felt…different. some sort of connection
“not often you see an inquisitor these days” -leia
“nor a princess committing treason against the empire” -you, putting her in her cell
before you knew it, there was a whole crew of rebels on board trying to save her
some more familiar than others
kenobi?
“i know that name” -you
“silence, child. i will finish what i started” -vader
obi-wan recognized you right away, the child he failed to bring to safety
but what didn’t sit right with you was when you’d hunted the other rebels going to save the princess, you heard
“i’m luke skywalker, i’m here to rescue you”
skywalker
your true name was shared by another
were you a twin?
there wasn’t enough time to figure out the details, you were a servant to the empire—to palpatine. you had a mission
but before long you’d have to escape the destruction of the death star
“father. that boy. his name is skywalker” -you
“the force is strong in him” -vader
“what do we do?” -you
“you will receive instruction when necessary” -vader
lots to ponder, lots to unpack
a brother. a brother even vader didn’t know about. he had to be. theres no other explanation
and with obi-wan kenobi? your father’s master. this was no coincidence
some time passed and you met the rebels again in bespin—cloud city
it was here your father confronted luke about his parentage.
“luke, i am your father” -vader
but as vader was distracted, you fled to help the rest of the millennium falcon crew escape
“how can we trust you?” -lando
“please, understand, i have been raised in the empire my entire life. forced to hide my true identity. my real name is y/n skywalker. my parents are padmé amidala and anakin skywalker. i believe luke is my twin brother” -you
“oh, please, you’ll say anything to get the chance to kill us—” -lando
“i believe they’re telling the truth. come with us, y/n” -leia
you’d saved luke and fled bespin with the remainder of the crew, apologizing for han’s fate in the carbonite
and luke was thrilled to see you face to face all things considered
“so it’s true? vader is my—our father?” -luke
“i was found in a ship with a jedi—presumably on a mission to hide me from the empire. vader had no idea you existed. until you met on the death star” -you
“you spent your whole life in the empire?” -luke
“i did. but to preserve vader’s anonymity, i was not permitted to be his ‘child,’ although—vader has a hard time following rules. they trained me as soon as my power began to show and inducted me into the inquisitors early on. i just…it never felt right. i’ve killed…so many people. done so many unforgivable things and yet i could never break free until now” -you
luke hugged you. it was the first time anyone ever had
“y/n. i know we’re strangers, but i understand regret. you left of your own free will, knowing there could be consequences. you came with us. there is good in you” -luke
you felt bad luke was comforting you when your dad had just had his hand chopped off
he asked what you knew of your father’s history, your mother’s history, and you told him all you could
your freedom from the empire felt refreshing
being y/n skywalker was refreshing
and although building trust took time, luke advocated for you every chance he could
“y/n knows the empire inside and out. they have training as a pilot, a soldier, a leader. you can’t go wrong with them” -luke
“y/n was complicit in the destruction of alderaan and countless other planets. millions murdered without so much as a warning. gone. like that” -mon mothma
“if i may, considering it is my people’s demise you are invoking—y/n has made their choice to join the rebellion. shed their imperial image and train as a jedi with luke. we are lucky to have someone so well-versed in the ways of the empire” -leia
“and you’re comfortable with y/n, the sith raised by darth vader and the empire, to command rebel troops? what if they lead them into a trap?” -mon mothma
“y/n has done nothing since their departure from the empire to invoke such suspicion. i’ve seen nothing but acts or remorse and kindness as they rebuild their image” -leia
you couldn’t figure out why leia was so kind to you. you felt guilty about the destruction of her planet
but she blamed vader. she didn’t blame you as you were just a pawn in a sick game
the battle of endor was fought while you and luke handled vader and palpatine
“are you ready, brother?” -you, grabbing his hand
“i am glad to have you by my side” -luke
palpatine laughed in your face
“six months away from the empire and you’re already claiming to be a jedi? hah! you have years of darkness inside of you, i was ready to make you my new protégé. it is a shame, you’d be a good one” -palpatine
you, luke, and vader fought together to vanquish him, and as you watched your father die, you knew he did everything he could to protect you in this life
“y/n. seeing you as a jedi…has been the most fulfilling part of my life. luke, thank you for guiding them where they should have always been” -anakin
as the rebels won the war, you went back to the forest moon of endor, where luke informed you of something he had been waiting to tell you for some time
“obi-wan told me something, it feels like a miracle, really” -luke
“well, spit it out, already!” -you
“we’re triplets” -luke
“we have another sibling?” -you
“leia is our sister” -luke
it felt like everything clicked at that very moment. a sister. you three were connected from the beginning
you soon hugged leia and delivered the news with luke
a family reunion years in the making
after the events of the war died down and the galaxy began to rebuild, you decided you needed to atone for your sins
do some good on your own
“don’t hesitate to call. we’re just a hologram away” -leia
“thank you for being there for me. and believing in me. i wouldn’t be here you without you guys” -you

you think i'm gone 'cause i left - anakin skywalker/darth vader x fem!jedi!reader (part 2 of 3)
a/n: you can read it as a stand-alone ♡
summary: when a ghost born from his past regrets returns to haunt him, darth vader has no choice but to confront it.
warnings: angst, no use of y/n, blood, mentions of death, mentions of torture, mentions of sex (no smut), reader is manipulating darth vader (but in a girlboss way), darth vader and darth sidious are their own warnings, no proofread, my english is the biggest warning.
word count: 2k
part 1
Darth Vader, who made the galaxy tremble with fear just by the idea of his existence, had subdued leaders who were said to never bow down, destroyed kingdoms that were said to never be destroyed, and made even the proudest warriors beg for mercy. Ironically, the only person who could bring this Sith Lord, who struck fear into every beating heart, to his knees was the ghost of a woman whose heart had stopped years ago.
Was his master manipulating his thoughts to create an illusion of you in order to punish his failures? Or were you the reflection of a ghost trapped in this world because the parts of his soul that belonged to Anakin Skywalker were not ready to let you go?
Darth Vader had no answers to these questions. If there was one thing he knew, it was that you were haunting him and that you would not let go until his heart, which had become a mass that did nothing but pump blood, was numb and torn apart with pain and regret.
Your presence wasn't always this disturbing to be honest, at first he was taking a pleasure in seeing you that he couldn't even admit to himself. You were looking at him with a magnificent light in your eyes that even the greatest massacres and most brutal executions you had ever witnessed couldn't extinguish, you were smiling at him affectionately as if the man in front of you wasn't a war criminal but the little boy you entrusted your lightsaber to. Sometimes he felt a shiver as if you were running your hands over his armored shoulders, and this sweet feeling that covered his entire body reminded him of the times you spent together. Perhaps it was your presence mixed with the air he breathed that prevented Darth Vader from taking complete control...
However, with each passing day in the empire of fear he and his master had established; with every innocent person he ruthlessly killed, with every enemy he tortured with disregard for their honor in the hope of getting information about his plans, the mask that had become the symbol of brutality was sticking more to the face underneath and his new identity was taking over him
While his burnt, torn body was trapped in an armor, the only thing that gave him a sense of freedom was his memories of you. But they began to fade one by one, leaving nothing but the memory of your bloody body being dragged by a clone soldier. Your first meeting at the temple, the first time he held you in his arms at the weapons factory that had become a battlefield, the exchange of your lightsabers, the first mission you officially went on together, the first moment he realized he liked you, the first kiss you shared, the first night you spent together... All of them were so distant now.
Maybe that was why your ghost had also slowly begun to change. Your reflection no longer radiated the noble glow it had when you first appeared; your image was more colorless, paler. The sweet feeling he felt when you appeared had been replaced by a pain like an ice burn. You weren't even smiling. A disgusted expression that you only reserved for the most vicious criminals in the galaxy appeared on your face. Especially those eyes... Darth Vader had never seen even his greatest enemy look at him with such devastating hatred.
"You killed me," you said with great anger. "You are responsible for my death!"
Darth Vader had tried everything not to witness those words that had been echoing in his mind for years coming out of your lips. He had told you to leave, tried to ignore you, used the force to disperse your reflection... But you weren't leaving! No matter what he did, he couldn't get rid of you. Finally, he was about to ask his master for help, even if it meant enduring his punishment for being weak, when you asked a question he couldn't leave unanswered.
"Where's my lightsaber, Anakin?"
You were in the throne room of his fortress on Mustafar. Darth Vader was thinking deeply, leaning his arm on the edge of his throne and leaning his helmet on his hands, when he heard your hysterical voice. He reached for his lightsaber as a reflex, but he also knew that the only enemy who could stand against his saber, which was red as if referring to the blood he had shed, was you.
"Anakin... A name I haven't heard in a long time," he said with his robotic voice hiding his emotions. But he also knew that he couldn't hide his feelings from you. You knew his deepest desires and fears. You might have been living in different bodies, but you two were the same person.
You smiled mockingly as if he was a buffoon instead of a commander who had the galaxy wrapped around his finger. "You didn't think I would call you by that funny name your master gave you, did you? Please don't take offense, but you have the stupidest name out of all the Sith Lords."
"How dare you!?" he roared, raising his hand into the air and trying to throw you to the other side of the room with the help of the force, but nothing happened. You continued to stand tall. Apparently, even the force couldn't harm those who didn't belong in the world of the living.
"Do you really think you can get rid of me like that? It's surprising that a ruthless Lord like you can have such naive ideas."
Although you emphasized the word ruthless, an expression appeared on your face as if the anger of the man in front of you amused you.
"What are you and what do you want from me?"
You slowly shrugged your shoulders and started to wander around the throne room. Sometimes you would delicately run your fingers over the objects in the room and sometimes you would go behind the throne and watch the hellish view of Mustafar. There was a silence that Darth Vader, even the most fearless man in the universe, did not dare to break. Finally, you answered the question in a low voice, "Only you can know the answer." Obviously, the answer you gave was not satisfactory for you either.
"I could be your guilt or your regret. Maybe I am your remorse that you cannot silence. Who knows?"
"Nonsense." Darth Vader snapped. "I have no regrets about the past. Such feelings are only excuses for those who are weak enough to succumb to them."
"You may not have it, but Anakin Skywalker does. Maybe that's why you can't defeat him. The remnants of him you can't destroy are suffering, right? Even if you block your ears, you can hear his screams. The more you try to suppress him, the more he finds ways to survive. Look, his pain has created me: the only enemy you can't defeat."
"Shut up! You're not real!"
In a sudden move, he took his lightsaber and tried to separate your head from your body, but your reflection only waved for a few seconds.
"That's what I meant when I said the only enemy you can't defeat." You said with an exasperated tone and rolled your eyes. "Anyway, you've asked enough questions. Now answer my question. Where's my lightsaber?"
"Obi-Wan took it." he said with great passion. His hands clenched involuntarily as he said his former master's name. Even his robotic voice couldn't hide his hatred.
"Ah, I see. So you couldn't protect it. What a shame, it really was a beautiful lightsaber."
You slowly walked towards the throne and sat on the armrest. You tried to keep a sad expression, but it was obvious that the commander’s failures were amusing you. You began to gently run your hands over his shoulders. Even the touch of your abstract presence was enough to soothe him. You could feel him relax under his armor.
“I didn’t think you would give up the only thing I had left so easily.”
“We made a deal. First I saved your life, then you saved mine. After you paid your debt to me, I had no reason to protect the lightsaber.”
"So you're saying that our only bond was some stupid pact we made when we were kids? That the lies we told our masters just so we could spend time together, the kisses we shared, the nights we spent together meant nothing? Don't expect me to believe that, Anakin. If I were truly that worthless to you, you wouldn't have built this fortress on Mustafar as a monument to your failures, you wouldn't have found every clone trooper there that day and tortured them all to death, and most importantly, you wouldn't have sold your soul to your new master in order to save me."
Without waiting for him to respond, you removed your hands from his shoulders and gripped his chin tightly. Technically, you had no power over him, and your fingers had even passed through his mask, but Darth Vader had surrendered to you so much that he lifted his head slightly, just as you wished he would.
"Do you know what I'm actually thinking? Maybe your desire to be Palpatine's toy has nothing to do with me, Skywalker. You turned to the dark side to save me, didn't you? Nonsense! You were just looking for a new master, that's all."
These were words that were too degrading and humiliating for a Sith Lord like him, who was used to being feared and obeyed. He rose from his throne in a sudden movement and held his hands out to you. He knew that he could not harm you, but for the first time, he felt that his anger was harming him, not powering him. He had to do something to get rid of you! However, his desperate efforts to catch you were only making you laugh.
You sat down comfortably on the throne that was vacated by him and crossed your legs with confidence. Your hands were gripping the throne on either side as if you were its rightful owner.
"Look, you can't even sit on the throne, Anakin," you said. "How pathetic."
"The men your master has given you, or that stupid word added to your new name, mean nothing. No matter how much you deny it, you are nothing but a slave. When you were a child, you belonged to Watto, now you belong to Sidious."
Darth Vader clenched his hands into fists and held them up to his face, "I rule the galaxy," he shouted at you. But his voice was weaker, more insecure. You continued, enjoying the pleasure of hitting him in his most sensitive spot.
"No, your master rules the galaxy. You are merely one of his insignificant, dispensable puppets. You have no free will, you still have the soul of a slave. You need others to control you in order to survive. In the past, you needed Obi-Wan and my approval, now you look to your master for help. Because you destroyed everyone who ever cared for you for nothing, and no one else has accepted the monster your sins have created."
"Why are you punishing me like this?"
You had finally done it! The most powerful man in the galaxy, that magnificent figure who bowed to no one but his master, was now kneeling in front of you, his hands on his helmet as if to silence the thoughts in his mind. He was trying to stop Anakin Skywalker, whom he thought he had killed years ago, from taking control with the strength he got from your screams, but he couldn't.
"I am not punishing you, Ani. You are doing this to yourself. Do you want to get rid of me? Then go and avenge me. Make your crimes have meaning. You know who your enemy is."

Idk if there are any fics like this but Star Wars fic where Padme lives but she goes into hiding to escape the empire Of course she ends up involved with rebellion bc Padme is just like that but she is cautious to keep her identity and the existence of the twins hidden
Anakin and Padme both think the other is dead
This leads to a years long cat and mouse game where Vader is hunting what he knows as a rebellion leader (prob with a cool nickname) known for bringing hope through the galaxy with their bold speeches (spread in secret over holorecording and featuring voice changer+mask) rallying thousands to the cause
Vader comes close to finding her many times but she evades him each time Something about it is thrilling and Vader becomes obsessed without being able to acknowledge why (bc he would never be able to accept having the hots for anyone but Padme but something about her teasing/bickering with him over com as she slips out of his grasp time and again or her dedication to her cause or her way with words that makes it clear how deeply she cares it's worse than drugs to him)
Something something Anakin 'slave his whole life' Skywalker and Padme 'never saw a dictator she wouldn't overthrow even if she never can be happy herself' Amidala
Anyway this culminates in Vader taking the twins hostage (just imagine Darth Vader cradling 5 y/o Luke in his arms while little Leia pouts angrily in the corner bc she tried to pull one of padmes guns on the sith but he literally just pulled it out of her hands with the force Luke thought this was very cool and Vader ends up floating random things through the room to amuse him)
Vader is panicking on the inside bc he actually doesn't know what to do with children that young (it's not like he was ordered to kill them) and something in the force sings when he's near them
Anyway Padme finds them eventually and is alarmed+confused to find Vader with a tiny yellow handprint on his mask while Luke is fingerprinting in the corner and Leia is huffing at the two and the man says in a very demanding voice, "what took you so long", like he was just the baby sitter(now dead) staying at work an extra hour bc Padme was late home again
She is not amused
Anyway she is forced to reveal herself and this somehow leads to them overthrowing Palpatine and living happily ever after now that Anakin is in the role he was born for (trophy wife to a famous senator) after going through the justice system of course (he manages to get a reduced sentence given his willingness to work with the new Republic and the fact that there is literally no one powerful enough to defeat him)
#star wars#anidala#anakin skywalker#padme amidala#luke skywalker#princess leia#star wars fic#anyway idk where this came from#was just thinking about them today#Padme gets the most relaxing vacation after this#pretending the characters i like get a happy ending#its for my heart not the plot#i was listening to 'will you fall in love with me again' the other night#maybe thats why my feelings are all over the place

His Theme (Darth Vader x Reader)
‧₊˚❀ First fic and post ever. Wrote this with no power and stuck in a thunderstorm. New to tumblr.
‧₊˚❀ Summary: Reader is Luke’s partner. Get’s captured and held prisoner. Reader has a chance to escape and refuses it, choosing to help Vader see what he was missing for such a long time. Reader is too good for the world. Platonic Vader x reader.
‧₊˚❀ Warnings: None. Unless you count first time writing.
A/N-Trying to beat the weird kid allegations but I wrote a Vader songfic with fuckin undertale music.
Song: https://youtu.be/FobrRO8EkAM?si=nUsR9vKDxiovCZ4H
Can my damage be undone?
I'd forgotten how to feel.
Vader watched as the random cargo ship flew off to the void.
You had the chance to run away, escape and reunite with your friends, family, be with your Luke and live some sort of fairytale ending.
So why the hell were you standing there like a silly idiot trying to comfort probably the most ruthless, monstrous man in the galaxy?? To Vader, you were one of the weirdest people he had ever met in his life, his long, tragic life.
His reasoning for capturing you was also his biggest drawback. You are Luke’s partner, lover, whatever you both call it. His plan on luring his son with his partner wasn’t going as planned, having you here for quite some time now.
Luke confided in you shortly before your capture. Telling you his father’s true identity. You kept it a secret, even from Vader—even though it was clearly a “I know what you are” situation to the both of you whenever you looked at one another.
You barely spoke, not fighting back at all.
Luke wouldnt want that. You told yourself. You knew of Luke’s yearn for his father to turn to the light, not wanting to hinder that.
You deserve far better friends...
Now you're here at the end.
I can let all them go.
I'll be okay alone..
Today you had walked into the wrong room, running into his broken, destroyed, and burned form over the bacta tank. You scurried off, almost stupidly.
Neither of you spoke a word since the incident.
You couldn’t see his face concealed by his helmet, but you sensed he was troubled today. You chose to just sit beside him in the small room when he came by to check on you, probably making sure you weren’t plotting his downfall, like your friends and the rebellion probably would.
—But deep down Vader knew you were too soft for that, in his eyes too good for the world you were given in this life, though he still viewed you as his enemy in some ways.
“I know you’re sad, I can feel it.” You murmured gently as I shifted my gaze up to look up at the imposing man.
“—You know nothing, (y/n).” The mechanical voice almost snaps back, but he doesn’t shift or move. Looking down at you. Your big, wide, soft and sweet gaze almost terrifying him, your lack of fear always scared him in an unsettling, odd, sort of way.
Leave me be.
Say goodbye.
You can't help. Why must you try?
Why must you.. Stay with me...
Your battle's won. Go with your family.
“It’s okay to be sad.” You spoke up slightly, not fidgeting away or wincing at his sharp reply.
“Let’s be real no one would be happy in this boring floating ball, it’s not too too crazy to put together how you feel.”
Vader’s shoulders shook momentarily, as if he found your little comment amusing and laughed—but one could only assume what that was.
“That’s the most words I think I’ve ever heard you speak, I’m impressed.” His voiced echoed out, no tension, anger, or any emotion.
“Yeahhhhh.” You drew out with a small, childish, and silly laugh. Fidgeting with your own sleeves before it went quiet again, the silence making the two of you beside each other a bit more awkward than it already was.
After a long while, you realized that he probably wasn’t going to hurt you, not physically at least.
“What was life like before all of this for you??” You spoke up, beginning to play with your sleeve, the edges of his dark, silky cape started prodding at your shoulders, unintentionally making you face him.
“What type of question is that?” Vader gruffly replied. A scoff accompanying it.
“No no!” You lightly chuckled with a nervous tinge, shaking your hands a bit as if signaling him to listen to what you had to say.
“I just mean— ‘cause you know, Luke is your son, and he doesn’t know a single thing about you.” Your explanation rang in the air.
It went quiet again. God damn it, these two both suck at talking, who would blame you two, on opposite sides of a war and everything.
“He really wants to help you, you know?” Your voice softened up a bit more. You began unconsciously tugging at the edges of his cape that poked you, playing with the fabric while you talk.
“He sees the good in you, and because I love him, I believe him and want that for you too.” You continued. You let out a soft smile, thinking about Luke. How much you miss him, love him, and want nothing more than to see him again.
I don't deserve your mercy...
It's not fair to be alone
If you wont fight please just leave...
After what you've been though
No one came or heard my call...
So let me ease your pain
I'm so glad you took your fall.
“Stop.” Vader snapped.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“I know a little,” you piped up.
“Nobody would want to feel how you feel, it’s okay to be sad, I’m sad too.” You murmured your gaze tired and sad, emphasizing your imprisonment, being away from everyone you love, it would drain anyone really.
“You can’t understand an ounce of what I’ve been through, child.” The robotic voice scratched out, but he didn’t move, or shoo you away, or even touch you.
“I can tell it’s a lot, though.” You quickly replied. Were you referring to earlier when you saw his true form without his suit? Who knows.
Vader sighed, his shoulders relaxed a bit, slumping down as he looked at you. Compared to him you were just this soft little thing, not a bad bone in ya. Whether either of you liked it or not, you two were bound to get close in some sort of way, especially with how you two are tied to Luke, his father and his partner, sitting together and talking.
Knowing you probably were too weak to do anything, plus you’re imprisoned,
It’s not like they can actually do anything. Vader thought to himself, he finally said something.
“It started a long time ago.” He muttered sadly as if thinking you wouldn’t be interested
“That’s okay, I wanna hear.” You reassured
A mechanical exhale was heard through the quiet atmosphere. As if mimicking a sigh. You sat there while Vader explained his life. A chain of events, almost like a story was told.
His life as a slave, his love for his mother, training under the order with his best friend as a master, his forbidden love with his late wife, which sounded like something straight of a novel they would make you read in school.
His battle with his old master, where you would see the 20 year old aftermath of his broken, damaged body—what was left of it.
And now we were here, the prisoner meant to lure his son, now listening to him vent.
At some point his voice began to break as he told you about his life, and you couldn’t help but feel for him. Everything about his life was hardship and tragedy.
No one deserves that
I won't abandon you
You can't help.
Determination fuels me…
Why must you try?
To keep on trying to save you
You gently placed a hand on his shoulder, the coolness of the his metal suit tickling your palm as you raised it up slightly in reaction, before settling it there.
“I’m sorry.” You comforted, a soft quiet utter of your voice.
“I’m sorry the world didn’t treat you kindly from the start.”
Vader paused. His mind kept telling him he shouldn’t feel comforted by his enemy. But it didn’t help that the enemy in question was this sweet soul who never spoke an ill word of him or his empire since her capture.
He replied, confused but accepting the comfort.
“It’s not your fault.” He returned your gesture, settling his gloved hand on your head, ruffling your hair up a bit.
“You’re so strong.”You mused, looking up at him with the most awestruck look on your face. You settled into his touch raising your arms to touch his hand with your two tiny ones, acting almost childlike.
“You’re only saying that.” He scoffs, a tiny laugh hidden in there as he drops his hand. You’re fingers immediately going to smooth your hair out
“I mean it!” You giggled out as you playfully tugged his cape, sensing some form of joy in the room.
*Wow.* V thought to himself. *They’re actually smiling. I’m actually smiling*
“You only speak kindly because…” he trailed, remembering how you ran into him earlier today, you were probably the only person to ever see his burned self that wasn’t one of his men.
“Because you saw what you saw today. You saw how I truly look. I’m a monster an ugly, deformed, monster, I don’t deserve your kindness.” He croaked out, looking down at the floor to avoid what he thought would be your judgmental gaze.
You shook your head with a frown, disagreeing with his self deprecation, pawing at his cape in some way to show some comfort without overstepping.
“You’re not ugly.” A firm reply left your lips.
“I argue that you’re beautiful, you just look different—But different is good!” You replied with a soft little smile on your lips
“You’re such a liar.” Vader scoffed with a humorous smile
“Nuh uh! You’re like those cryptic sculptures and artworks that cost like a million credits in a museum! You’re… majestic” You mused, leaning into him a little bit.
“You went through hell and back. But you’re still alive, proving to the galaxy how strong you truly are!”
“We may be enemies but even I need to appreciate that.” You finished with a bashful little smile on your face.
Vader’s demeanor shifted. Shuddering.
“I’m supposed to hate you, kill you even, b-but I cant.” His mechanical voice shook the room.
I don't deserve your mercy..
I will stay by your side
If you won't fight please just leave...
“Do you love your son?” You spoke up, shifting your whole body to face him.
“Of course I do….” The sith answered quickly.
“Me loving others is what led me here.” He added.
You gave a big smile. One of those smiles a child gives a parent when they’re really excited about something.
“Looks like my Luke is correct!—” You gushed, squeezing his shoulder.
“There is still some good in you.”
That broke Vader. The s lord putting his helmeted face in his hands, as if breaking down. Crying? Maybe. You couldn’t really tell with his voice modifier.
“Stop, you remind me so much of her.” A mechanical whimper escaped his mask.
“Who?” You asked softly.
“My mom!—And my wife! Stop, you’re so unsettling.” He bawled, but made no effort to shoo me away so you stayed in place.
“Hey, hey.” You shushed him, pulling the man by his metal suit into a hug, an awkward one but you still made it work.
You simply held the man, rubbing his suited back as you let him cry it out. Usually it was Luke comforting you when you were sad about something minuscule and random, for maybe the first time you were comforting someone, it just so happened to be the most terrifying being in the galaxy.
“I’m here for you.” You spoke up, with a questioning tone as if asking if it was okay for me to be there for him.
Vader calmed down for a moment, his scratchy artificial breaths steadying.
“I don’t deserve your kindness—”
“I want to be kind so yes you do.” I cut him off.
I know its frightening
Your battle's won...
To think you might now leave
Go with your family..
But that my friend is why—
“I cant change your mind right away, but I know theres good in you, Luke knows it too, and when you’re ready, I want to help, and if Luke ever comes to rescue me, I know he’ll want to help too.” You explained as you cooed at him, it was almost silly to look at, but neither of you cared in that moment.
Maybe you were biting off more than you can chew, or maybe there was a chance that V would turn to the light.
Vader, now more relaxed, still in your arms finally spoke, his small pants dying down finally.
“I can see why Luke loves you so much, you’re too good, even holding out hope for me.” He groaned sheepishly.
Your idea of helping Vader was unrealistic, obviously, but he didn’t need to think about that in the moment, simply enjoying the embrace of another person.
A kind soul, not one who sees him as an intimidating sith lord, or a symbol of power, nor a terrifying monster.
No. You saw him for who he was. Just a man, a man who was fucked over by the galaxy and the order for way too long.
“What’s your name?” You asked, your eyes held a peaceful presence that seemed to only be welcoming.
“My name?”
“Yes, your real name. I doubt you popped out of the womb called Darth Vader. If you were I feel so bad for you.” Your childishness bloomed out with that comment, it was somewhat cute to him.
“So immature.” He commented a small chuckle escaping his helmet.
“My name is Anakin Skywalker.” He replied, his voice a bit quieter this time, a small whisper, but you sure as hell heard it.
Your face was adored with this wide, big, happy smile, feeling accomplished. You broke from the hug to stand up in front of Vader. Hugging him this time so that my chin rested on his black, shiny helmet.
“Well Anakin, I’m here for you, I hope to change your mind for the better and bring you back to the light, maybe with Luke’s help.” You giggled out that last part.
“You can’t let that old bag of bones control your life forever.” You lightly added.
Were they referring to the emperor?? Probably yeah.
Vader responded by wrapping his arms around you. He wont admit it, but you definitely don’t need your little boyfriend who happens to be his son to make him reconsider all his life choices.
“Yeah. Maybe. I’m not convinced.” He gruffly stated.
He nestled his head into your shoulder, seeking the comfort he got from you a moment ago.
“But for you, I’ll consider it, (Y/N).”
Forgive me...
I will spare your life always
Stay with me..
And hold you tight and close
You’re the last...
We will be together here
Light I'll see....
Until its safe to go
A/N I’ll probably write more in the future, just not cringy undertale songfics (love that game haha)
-Ignore the plot holes and OOC, I lowkey was on that 2018 gacha type shit writing this

It's Been A Long Time, Old Friend (Part I) - Unburnt!Darth Vader x Reader

summary: where Darth Vader arrives on the planet of Lianna. Only to discover that the Queen of Lianna was once his old flame during his Jedi years.
"And there you are! You're all set to go your Excellency." Chira, your handmaiden said after putting some final touches to your look.
"Chira, you know you don't have to call me that when we're alone right?" You responded, looking at yourself in the large vanity mirror. Your husband, Kairos, King of Lianna, was having meeting with the Emperor's right hand man, Lord Vader. Ever since your arranged marriage to him, it is expected of you to appear alongside him in his meetings to get a second opinion and to look like an accessory.
Never in million of years you would find yourself in an arranged marriage to a man you've never met, but here you are. Two years after the fall of the Jedi, you've traveled from planet to planet, evading inquisitors from finding and capturing you. There was one day you found yourself in a slave trading operation, where you sold off as a promising bride to your now husband, King Kairos of Lianna. At first, Kairos was hesitant in marrying you since you were a slave, but he had a duty to give his father a long lineage of heirs and his people a beautiful Queen to follow.
However, the marriage had been rocky from the get-go and continued to remain that way. You were never interested in him nor was he into you. No matter how hard you both tried to like each other, and understand one another, you both would always have opposing viewing points and would always clash. Maybe it had something to do with your Jedi beliefs instilled in you or your distaste towards members of royal families, or the fact your husband was a bootlicker for the Emperor and his Galactic Empire, and was a constant supplier for their TIE fighters.
Because of this, you both decided to remain separate from each other from all hours of the day, as you both had your own duties to fulfill. You both eventually agreed to sleep in separate chambers due to how sour the marriage had turned.
As dangerous and stupid of an idea it was at the time, you believed it was somewhat a smart plan on your end to marry a royal family member. The inquisitors couldn't suspect a former Jedi to marry into royalty, right? Luckily, it helps that women who are apart of the Royal Family of Lianna, are expected to wear face paint and makeup to cover up their real identity. A similar practice that derived from the Royal Family of Naboo.
You had also cut yourself off the force right after the rise of the Empire. After Obi-Wan had told you that Anakin had turned to the dark side, you both knew what was expected to come for the both of you. Obi-Wan had gone his separate way, and you followed suit onto your own path.
Now here you were, covered in white face paint, heavy purple eyeshadow, and bright red lipstick embellished your facial features.
Chira assisted you in your royal gown. The gown was a deep purple, adorned with thousands of beads from the waist down. Chira placed your large halo crown onto your head, securing it place.
"Andddddd we're done! It looks like it's time for your meeting!" Chira said, eyeing you up and down, making sure you were looking like royalty.
"Thank you Chira. You are free to leave." You replied. Chira bowed before exiting your chambers.
You met your husband on the landing pad to the palace, where you both awaited for the arrival of Lord Vader.
"Darling, don't you look delightful today." Your husband, Kairos spoke up, lending his arm for you to take.
"Don't I always do?" You quipped, wrapping your arm around his. The whirring sound of a ship approached the landing pad. The door to the ship opened, revealing a line of stormtroopers, as they walked down the ramp. Right behind them, stood the terrifying Darth Vader.
"Ah, Lord Vader, shall we began our discourse?" Kairos spoke up, bowing to him, to which I silently followed his action.
"As always King Kairos." Lord Vader responded. The three of us, alongside the stormtrooper and our guards made our way to the conference hall.
-
The meeting was long and agonizing, as per usual. Kairos would argue for a larger price, the opposing party would try to bargain for a lower price, and yadda yadda.
Though this was your first meeting with the Emperor's apprentice, you have to stay, you weren't as intimidated as you thought you were. Yeah, you've heard grisly stories about the Sith Lord and cruel he can be, but after having to sit 2 hours straight across from him wasn't as bad. However, you did feel small under his gaze. His attention may be focused on your husband, but you couldn't help but sense the seeking glances from the Sith Lord himself from time to time.
"Perhaps we could ask your wife about her thoughts on this matter." Vader's mechanical voice shook you out of your thoughts and brought you back to reality. You looked at your husband, then at Lord Vader, before speaking up.
"Well, I do think it's possible to increase production and have our men producing 20,000 TIE fighters per week the next four weeks with the price of 7,000,000 Imperial credits." You offered, the amount that was way less than what your husband had originally offer, that being 20,000,000. Kairos feigned a smile as he squeezed your thigh in response to your offer, indicating that he was not satisfied with the amount you've offered to Lord Vader.
"We have a deal. I will return in two weeks to see the progress. It was a pleasure doing business with you as always King Kairos." The Sith Lord responded, now standing abruptly from his seat. Both Kairos and I followed suit. Kairos shaking his hand with Lord Vader, sealing the deal.
"And I see you have a wife. From what I recall, I don't remember you being married." The Sith Lord piqued. I adverted my gaze away from Lord Vader's intense gaze. Kairos squeezed my arm before speaking up.
"Well, we haven't been married that long Lord Vader. We had just gotten married shortly after our last meeting, so it's been 4 months." Kairos smiled down at me, to which I returned. "You will see her more often in our future encounters my Lord."
"I look forward to them." Vader responded, eyeing me up and down once more. Kairos and I assist Vader and his stormtroopers to his ship on the landing pad. After watching his ship depart, Kairos releases his arm from mine and walks back inside the palace, into his private chambers. I sigh to myself, watching Lord Vader's ship fly off in the horizon, before making my way into my chambers.
-
He couldn't put a finger on it, but something about you stirred something inside him. He didn't want to stare at you for too long, he knew it would make you uncomfortable, but there was just something about you that seemed familiar. Upon landing on the landing pad, he felt a faint force signature. Though you cut off yourself off from the force two years ago, some parts of you still lingered in the force.
After Vader's departure from the palace, he hadn't left the planet's atmosphere yet. In fact, his ship was on autopilot in the sky as he was busy sending a message to his master to tell him his discovery. Vader had a mission to get rid of every last Jedi, whether it meant to turn them into inquisitors or kill them off entirely.
"Master, it would seem I've made a discovery." Vader spoke to the blue figure on the holotable to his ship.
"And what would that discovery be Lord Vader?" The Emperor's tone sounding a bit impatient at his apprentice's words.
"It would appear that Queen of Lianna could be a force-sensitive individual, Master."
"Is that so my apprentice? What an interesting discovery... Perhaps we could turn her into a pawn, or a weapon... I would keep an eye on this one, Lord Vader. Perhaps she is a lot stronger with the force than we may realize." The Emperor responded, somewhat surprised that a Jedi had found themselves entangled in a royal family.
"Yes my master." Vader responded before the figure of Palpatine disappeared from the holotable. He had a new objective now. Vader wanted to alter the deal now. Instead of visiting in two weeks to check on the progress, he in fact, wanted to oversee the progress every day until he had gotten his TIE fighters. With this, Vader had made his way back to the palace.
-
"Your Majesty! You must come quickly!" Chira, your handmaiden had barged into your chambers. Unsure what was happening, you dropped the book you were reading and followed her.
"What's the matter Chira? Has something happened?" You asked, both of you fastening your pace in the direction of the throne room.
"I-it's Lord Vader. He came back...The King requested your presence." Chira huffed out. Both you and Chira arrived outside the tall doors to the throne room. You took a deep breath and corrected your posture before entering the room. The doors slowly opened, revealing the backsides of numerous stormtroopers and Lord Vader. Kairos, was seated on his throne, talking to Lord Vader when you caught his attention.
"My love, come." Kairos stood up, gesturing for you to come sit in your throne next to his. The stormtroopers and Lord Vader turn around to face you as you hurriedly made your way over to your royal seat.
"I have altered the deal. I will be overseeing the progress on the TIE fighters from now." Darth Vader's voice echoed throughout the room. You nervously looked over at your husband, unsure what he had gotten yourselves into.
"Y-Yes, your Lord. May I ask-"
"There will be no questions. I ask that you will provide my men lodging and meals for the duration of their stay." The Sith Lord interrupted him. To which Kairos could do nothing about nod enthusiastically at Lord Vader's requests. "Tomorrow, you will provide me a tour of your facilities as I will begin to oversee all production of my TIE fighters."
"Of course my Lord." Kairos stood up, bowing to Lord Vader. You sat there, staring at your husband, anxious of what was yet to come.
-
"What the hell was that Kairos?!" You exclaimed. Both you and Kairos were having another one of your disputes in his chambers once again. This time, it was about Lord Vader's little vacation at the palace and overseeing the planet's assets. "When are you going to stop kissing the Empire ass and stand up for yourself for once?"
"I had no choice Y/N! Have you forgotten that Lord Vader and the Emperor are the most cruel and powerful beings in this star system?! They'll cut off my arm if I were to disagree with them." Kairos retorted. You scoffed at the same excuse he had used ever since you brought this topic up. "The Empire is funding our planet. We are an asset to the Empire. We're becoming richer and richer with every TIE fighter and Imperial weapons we sell them. With this, we can help our people."
"I don't know want to hear it anymore Kairos. Our people still suffer at the hands of the Empire, whether it is happening directly or indirectly." You made your way to the door. "You may not see it now, but the damage done to the planet and the people will be irreparable when you come to your senses." With that, you slammed the door your husband's door shut. You huffed out in frustration, your heels clicking on the marble flooring as you stormed toward your chambers. Little did you know, Vader was around the corner, eavesdropping on the argument that you and Kairos had moments ago. The Sith Lord smiled to himself, realizing that he use this to further manipulate the King of Lianna with the knowledge that his marriage was crippling.
-
After taking a long soak in your bath and finishing your nighttime routine, you were eager to get some rest. Shutting the lamp on your nightstand, you began to snooze off.
Images of being in the Jedi Temple began to flood your dreams. Realizing what your mind was doing, you tried to shut down those dreams, worried that it would pull you deeper into the force and down the path of memories that you did not want to relive. But what you didn't know, Darth Vader was in the meditation chambers that the Lianna medical staff and engineers had constructed for the Sith Lord. Darth Vader was using the force to encourage you to reveal yourself. There was something oddly familiar about you that made him curious.
After trying to get into your mind, he couldn't. Either you had nothing interesting going in your mind or that you were really good at blocking him out. Vader knew he had to be careful. He couldn't give away his true intentions to why he was here on the planet of Lianna. Yes, he and Palpatine need the TIE fighters, however this is different now. A force-sensitive woman who was a Queen was the topic interest at the moment. Plus, Vader needed to be away from the Death Star. Staring at the dark gray walls and into hyperspace just wasn't cutting it for him. Luckily the planet of Lianna was filled with lush gardens and vast lakes that Vader and his men could enjoy the duration of their stay.

"What is this Darth Vader breathing noise? Meet Mister Strontium! He's a nice chemistry assistant teacher with a lot of secrets!"
[Mod here. This used to be a Marvin Sterling roleplay blog and was originally gonna be changed into a Count Nihil blog, but I changed my mind and there's no Benedict Ignite roleplay blog yet so why not-]

- Tries to avoid Mister Barrel at all costs, but feels extremely guilty for bullying him so badly when they were younger.
- Sleep deprived and a bit of a workaholic-
- Hates his old friends and wants nothing to do with them.
- May be ticklish.. (Go for his stomach, hips or palms :33)
- A bit uncomfortable with taking off his gasmask in public- Worries Mister Barrel or his father will see him and realize who he is.
- Can purr like a cat ✨

Rules
- No NSFW or suggestive asks. I'm aware the character I roleplay as is 29, but still-
- Don't be weird or gross in the asks either.
- No trying to harm/kill Benedict.
- Donation asks will be deleted.
Benedict/Mister Strontium will talk like this.
[Mod will talk like this]
Benedict's masked, unmasked and younger appearance.

I am in no way actually qualified to do this but today I shall be diagnosing Anakin Skywalker with BPD (Bordeline Personality Disorder) and explaining why I'm right.
My "qualifications" are: my own former diagnosis of bpd and having taken A-level psychology.
The DSM-5 describes BPD as a pattern of instability in interpersonal relationships, self-image, and emotions, as well as impulsivity beginning by early adulthood. In order to be diagnosed the person must present at minimum 5 of the 9 following bpd criteria:
1. Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment
This one is pretty obvious as Anakin literally fell to the dark side, let all other jedi be killed, and ignored Palpatine being the major sith they were spent years searching for and fighting, in order to gain the knowledge he thought he needed to keep Padmé from dying. Additionally, on Mustafar when he spots Obi-Wan on Padmé's ship he goes to far as to strangle her as he views this as abandonment and betrayal from her.
2. A pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterised by alternating between extremes of idealisation and devaluation.
This one is very obvious in his relationship with Obi-Wan. Going from caring about him- "I'm not leaving without you, Master" (ROTS) and saving his life at minimum 9 separate times throughout the clone wars, to hating him- "I HATE YOU" (ROTS), "YOU TURNED HER AGAINST ME" (ROTS), "it's all Obi-Wan's fault! He's jealous!" (AOTC), just to name a few examples.
3. Identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self.
The entire plot point of Anakin separating his identity from that of Darth Vader and his own. Later, when Darth Vader takes complete control he refers to his past self as only "The Jedi", showing a complete split of identity and self. Furthermore, throughout Attack of the Clones there are multiple instances of Anakin believing that he is the most powerful jedi ever and that he is invincible and yet he was unable to save his mother, this shows cases of an unstable sense of self wherein he switches between idolising himself and not living up to that idolisation.
4. Impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g. spending, sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating).
The first area to prove this is his podracing which then later on influences how he drives. Anakin was podracing since he was a young child (Phantom Menace), which can be excused as he had no other choice while he was a slave and then did it to gain his own freedom, however, throughout the earlier books of Obi-Wan's and Anakins adventures, Anakin continued to sneak out of the jedi temple to bet on and occasionally participate in podracing on the lower levels. Podracing is an incredibly dangerous sport with an incredibly high death rate. Later on we can see how Anakin continues to drive recklessly, very often crashing his vehicles.
Now, he doesn't canonically meet any of the other suggested areas, however, I would like to raise his impulsivity throughout the Clone Wars. Yes, they were at war, however, Anakin put his life at risk unnecessarily on many repeated occasions, barely coming out unscratched.
5. Recurrent suicidal behaviour, gestures or threats, or self-mutilating behaviour.
Now, this is a controversial one but I think that Anakin does in fact meet this criteria as well. Firstly, continuously putting his life at risk unnecessarily throughout the clone wars can be seen as suicidal behaviour, yes he's not actually attempting but he is not not attempting, if that makes sense. Secondly, on Mustafar when Anakin jumped despite how Obi-Wan was positioned, it was obvious that Anakin was not going to win that, however, he attempted to anyway, very nearly costing him his life. Thirdly, later as Darth Vader when he is told that Padmé is dead there are multiple occurrences throughout the comics where he wishes for death rather than to continue living without his Padmé. Lastly, he sacrifices himself The Return of the Jedi in order to save Luke and beat Palpatine.
6. Affective instability due to marked reactivity of mood (e.g. intense episodic dysphoria, irritability or anxiety usually lasting a few hours or a couple of days).
Anakin becomes very easily irritated about nearly everything, such as sand or the Jedi's lack of faith in him. Throughout ROTS he becomes exceedingly frustrated with both the Jedi council and Obi-Wan believing that they do not trust him and are purposely settling him up for failure. He is increasingly anxious about Padmé and his child's deaths based on a nightmare he had, going as far as to turn to Palpatine for help and turning to the dark side to save them. He is also portrayed throughout the Clone War's as struggling with mood swings, such as when he force chokes Clovis.
7. Inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger.
He massacred the Tusken Raiders, including the innocent ones, for the murder of his mother. He wiped out all the Jedi at the jedi temple at the command of Palpatine. He force choked Clovis (and multiple other characters throughout the Clone War's) after finding him hitting on his wife. He tried to kill Obi-Wan believing that he had turned Padmé against him.
8. Chronic feelings of emptiness
This one is the only criteria I am struggling to pin on Anakin. He does not seem to portray feelings of emptiness, rather the opposite, as he struggles with his feelings of anger, distrust, attachment, love and heartbreak. However, one could argue that as Darth Vader, he does portray this quite often as he is often depicted throughout the comics as struggling to feel much of anything.
9. Transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms.
Many people argue that this is the one that Anakin does not meet, however, I would strongly disagree. In the deleted scenes of ROTS and in the books Anakin is shown to be paranoid about Padmé and Obi-Wan's relationship, going as far as to even accuse Padmé of cheating on him with Obi-Wan. This is further shown when Anakin spots Obi-Wan on Padmé's ship and believes that he has turned her against him. He also shows paranoia regarding Padmé and his mother's deaths based on dreams he has had. Further, he believes that the Jedi do not trust him and are turning against him.
Those are all 9 criteria of BPD. As I said before one must meet at minimum 5 for a diagnosis of BPD and as I have shown here Anakin meets nearly all of them, if not all, and so it is in my (correct) belief that Anakin Skywalker portrays BPD and life with it exceedingly well, and is actually a really good and accurate representation of it (even though it's not actually canon).
#anakin skywalker#actually bpd#prequels#star wars#the clone wars#bpd problems#star wars anakin#obi wan kenobi#obi wan and anakin#anakin and padme#padme is definitely anakins favourite person

Jason in Post-Crisis repeatedly attempts to recruit his siblings…while also attempting to murder them. It’s hilarious. And kind of pathetic. But definitely hilarious.
So after Red Hood’s confrontation with Batman goes down…poorly…he decides to go bother Dick. But Dick’s not there! So, he impersonates him (because he’s almost as bad as Tim when it comes to identity theft) and, when Dick finds him, during One Year Later, Jason is like “hey bro, let’s be Nightwing together!”

(Nightwing #119)
Obviously, Dick does not agree. They fight, Jason gets turned into a tentacle monster, etc. Jason sends Dick a telegraph saying he wants to be family again, because he just doesn’t know when to quit. Dick never responds.
But don’t worry! Jason has another sibling. And sure, he’s tried to murder him once or twice, but water under the bridge, right? …right?

(Robin #177)
Yeah, so Jason then tries to recruit Tim, after the kid needed stitches from the Hush incident and Jason broke into Titans Tower to beat him up. Because somehow he thinks this will work.
It does not work. Tim (predictably) turns him down. Jason’s reaction? Shoot at him!
But never fear. The definition of insanity is repeating the same action and expecting different results! Now that Jason’s Batman, surely he can recruit a sibling to be his Robin!
This time, he asks Tim first, apparently impressed by his ruthlessness in their Batman vs. Batman fight.

(Battle for the Cowl #2)
And thus we get the “be my Robin” moment that you may have seen mentioned in fanfiction. Tim calls Jason a psychopathic killer and refuses. So Jason stabs him and leaves him for dead.
But wait! That’s not the end. Robin refused to be Jason’s Robin, but surely a grown man will agree to be his sidekick!

(Battle for the Cowl #3)
Yeah…no. Not really sure what Jason was expecting here.
This is not counting:
That time Jason tracked Dick down in The Outsiders just to give him information.
Jason’s attempt to get Dick to turn a blind eye to his killing in Batman and Robin.
Literally anything past post-crisis.
In conclusion: Jason in is like a glitchy Darth Vader going “join me Luke, I am your father” on repeat, but put “brother” in there instead.

Can’t stop thinking about an au where Luke is the Imperial prince and Ezra fell to the Dark side because of a trick by [insert villain here], he was made to believe his family had abandoned him, thrown him aside, and the despair got to him. In this world, he and Imperial Prince Luke Skywalker knew each other as enemies, often clashing on the battlefield, but they grudgingly respected one another’s skills and intelligence and even made each other grin a few times, so after the ‘betrayal’ Luke happens to come across Ezra sobbing (“What are you doing here? Come to laugh at the failed Jedi? Go on then, laugh!”) and manages to pry the story from him, and he can admit he’s furious at those stupid rebels. He’s Ezra’s enemy, but even he knows the man is a powerful adversary with unique skills who inspires hope in even the most downtrodden, and he had seen firsthand how much Ezra’s family meant to him, how much this had clearly shattered him.
It’s not even a decision really, to reach over and take Ezra’s face in his hands, thumbing his tears away and asking if Ezra has anywhere to go, if he needs a place to lay low for a bit. Ezra snarls that he’s not going to fall into an Imperial’s arms just from a little worldshaking tragedy, but he’s trembling at the gentle touch, the genuine anger in those yellow eyes, anger on his behalf. He knew that there was some sliver of good in Prince Skywalker, had seen it in the way he interacted with children and maintained a sense of honor, and it’s these things plus the pure honesty he senses in the Force that make him feel just safe enough to take Luke’s hand.
That and those fierce golden eyes that looked at him like he was worth a damn.
Time passes, they talk, they get to know each other, Ezra finds himself growing protective of Luke, finds himself naturally taking on the role of bodyguard and right hand, having a severe crisis of identity as he realizes that his feelings for Luke are becoming a problem. Likewise, what Luke first saw as an opportunity has swiftly become a turning point in his life because now he can no longer imagine a world without Ezra Bridger at his side, laughing and joking and lightening the heavy burdens that came with being the son of Darth Vader. It all comes to a head one day when Ezra kills a rebel or four to protect Luke, and as he stands there in horror realizing just how far he’s fallen, Luke cups his face with a big warm sincere smile and tells him he did good, that he saved his life, that’s he’s so proud of him, that Ezra is so so good and Luke is so lucky to have found him.
Luke asks Ezra to officially become his right hand, his personal Inquisitor, free to be whoever he wants, answering to no one but Luke. The only rule being to stay by his side forever.
Ezra accepts.
There’s no going back after that, not for Luke, and certainly not for Ezra. Kanan didn’t want him, his family chose Kanan over him, he didn’t really have any other friends, he’d never really fit the mold of a Jedi… might as well give himself over to the Dark. To Luke. At least he could have affection and love, even if unreciprocated. (It’s absolutely reciprocated, Luke is literally crazy about him, possessive and obsessed and completely adoring, but Ezra doesn’t know that)
Years later Luke is quickly gaining power and Ezra is an ever-present shadow at his side, always ready with an easy smile and a sly glint in his blue-yellow eyes, the only one who has the Imperial Prince’s complete and absolute trust. He lounges in the rafters and vents while Luke does important Empire business, he sits on the edge of Luke’s throne and sharpens knives when Luke is negotiating, he props his feet up in Luke’s lap and laughs at the shock and outrage it earns him, especially from Luke’s family. If Ezra isn’t there, Luke is always visibly more quiet and tetchy, to the point where petitioners will call ahead to ask if the Prince’s strange little shadow will be present before coming in.
Ezra takes a special sort of joy in disrupting the plans of the Ghost crew, taunting them and challenging them and getting really angry whenever they ‘pretend’ to have no idea why he suddenly turned to the Dark side, why he turned against them. They want Ezra back so badly, they think Luke did something to him, corrupted his mind or something, why else would he be so loyal? Why else would he say things like “Guess you shouldn’t have thrown me away” and “If I wasn’t enough for you, that’s your problem, not mine”.
Also a side plot where a near death experience has Luke paranoid about Ezra’s safety and he ends up hiring Din Djarin to guard him, much to Ezra’s annoyance. It starts off with Din being stoically silent and Ezra constantly needling him, but the relationship softens as Din takes his job seriously and starts to look after Ezra’s health and sanity instead of just his body, as Ezra starts to make a game out of getting any kind of reaction from Din (“Oooh, a slight exhale, that’s practically a guffaw from you, Din!”) and Luke starts taking a personal interest in keeping Din happy and loyal while also taking time to train his adorable kid, and maybe at first he’s jealous of Din for making Ezra so happy, for edging in on what they have, but then Ezra insists on them getting to know each other and Luke finds that Din is actually very pleasant company and they bond over their affection for Ezra, and Din finds out that the coldly beautiful prince has a kind heart and genuine desire to make the galaxy a better place, even with the Empire’s methods.
The three of them end up as The power trio of the Empire and also a polycule and Grogu gets three dads for the price of one

Hey there! You’re one of the first artists to put Wind and Train together (there are probably more, but I haven’t gotten to them yet). Anyway… there’s a theory out there that Train is a descendant of Wind. Are the distantly related in your AU and if so, how do you think they would react to learning their practically Grandpa and Grandson? Personally, I think their reaction would be similar to the Darth Vader meme.
I LOVE THEORIZING, HEAR ME OUT
That would be funny ngl but I have some reasons to believe that this isn’t true, mainly because of this dialogue of the game

“You look just like a friend of mine”
Wouldn’t it be something weird to say that if they were related? Im not saying thats like a 100% proof but Niko gives me the impression of being surprised and I wouldn’t be surprised if the grandson of my old friend looked like him.
However I do see him as the grandfather of that Zelda, I have even less proofs for that but it’s a personal headcanon that I like, that after many years traveling with Tetra they found New Hyrule and started the new royal family there.
But what they are gonna absolutely notice is that they look almost identical from one another, THAT spooked them out, it was like seeing a sunburned-pirate version of yourself.
And I have another headcanon that probably makes no sense but I like to think that Spirit tracks Link IS a reincarnation of the hero, not sky but Wind. That he started a “new spirit of the hero” in the adult timeline, wouldn’t that be cool? Wind is no reincarnation of no one, but instead the hero hyrule needed.
Anyway thanks for the ask!

he is so silly

Inquisitor Women in Star Wars: a 2024 Summary
while women are underrepresented in the Sith order, the Inquisitorius is quite an egalitarian organization :) let's sum up what we know about these lovely ladies
(spoilers for everything concerning inquisitor characters, including the manner of their death)
2. Second Sister aka Trilla Suduri

Padawan to Cere Junda at the time of Order 66
captured and tortured into joining the Inquisitorius shortly after
dies 5 years later, executed by Vader for her perceived failure
human; age unknown, I'd estimate late teens to mid-twenties at the time of recruitment
created for Jedi: Fallen Order (2019), appeared before the game's release as a cameo in Darth Vader 2017 issue 19 (2018) and as a main character in the game tie-in miniseries Dark Temple. mentioned in Rise of the Red Blade (2023).
ambitious, relentless, a good slicer. wears a full helmet all the time when on the job.
3. Third Sister aka Reva Sevander

12-year-old human youngling at the time of Order 66
joined the organization voluntarily and while hiding her identity, at an unspecified point a relatively short time before 10 years post-Order 66
left the Inquisitorius 10 years after Order 66, after failing to kill Darth Vader and being left to die
created for Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022). not in RotRB, likely due to not yet being a member during the book's timeline. does not appear and isn't mentioned in other canon material, outside of OWK's comic adaptation.
spent 10 years single-mindedly pursuing her goal of revenge. very intense and ambitious. youngest recruit we know of and the only one to have at least a quasi-canon number duplicate (the Third Brother).
4. Fourth Sister aka Lyn Rakish

joined the Inquisitorius around the time of Order 66, apparently of her own free will
species, age and rank at that point unknown, may have been a peer of Barriss or somewhat older
left the Inquisitorius after serving it for over 15 years (actual time unknown but less than 20 years)
created for Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022), part of the main cast in Tales of the Empire (2024), mentioned in RotRB (2023).
dedicated to the organization, pragmatic and better at cooperation than most colleagues.
7. Seventh Sister

joined the Inquisitorius shortly after Order 66, and appears to have been tortured into it
mirialan; age and rank before recruitment unknown, implied she may have been a peer of Aayla Secura or younger
killed in action after serving the Inquisitorius for 16 years
created for Rebels s2 (2015), a minor character with several scenes in Darth Vader 2017, RotRB (2023) and the Inquisitors comic miniseries (2024)
only one on the list without a known name. snarky and flirty with targets. strained relationship with multiple coworkers.
9. Ninth Sister aka Masana Tide

Dowutin, age unknown and hard to estimate
joined the Inquisitorius involuntarily shortly after Order 66, through torture and mutilation
dies 10 years later, killed by her target
created for Darth Vader (2017) as a recurring character. part of the main cast in Jedi: Fallen Order (2019), shows up in Jedi: Survivor (2023), has a part in RotRB (2023) and Inquisitors (2024).
best empath of the Inquisitorius. snarky and jovial even with Darth Vader. very traumatized. keeps losing body parts.
13. Thirteenth Sister aka Iskat Akaris

joined voluntarily after flirting with the dark side for years and being groomed by Palpatine
21-year-old Knight at the time, pkorian (species created for her)
killed 5 years after joining by Vader for perceived disloyalty
created for Darth Vader 2017 issue 19 (2018), main character of novel Rise of the Red Blade (2023)
only inquisitor to have a boyfriend in canon. has a helmet she wears on missions but is pretty laid back about it. only gets her inquisitor name a while into her tenure, so her birth name is known to others.
+ Barriss Offee

former Jedi in Republic prison at the time of joining
agreed to get recruited a short while after Order 66, but left on her first mission after learning more about the organization, never got a proper inquisitor title
mirialan; age unknown but is around the age or slightly older than Ahsoka, 17 year old at the time; would have been 21 according to a non-canon reference book
has existed since 2002 as a background character in the prequels and their now non-canon tie-in novels, her short-lived inquisitor iteration was long rumored and introduced in Tales of the Empire (2024).
