Dada or Mama

Stefan Salvatore x Elena Gilbert

Summary: Stefan and Elena try to get their daughter to say Dada or Mama but it doesn't work out the way they think it will.

Warnings: None! Just fluff

Notes: Family fluff!! Inspired by full house and suggested by a friend of mine!

Characters: Elena Gilbert, Stefan Salvatore, and Bonnie Bennett.

Stefan's POV

"Come on Lexi, you can do it!" I encouraged my 1 year old. She was seated in her high chair in the kitchen. I made her breakfast or her soft food with a glass of milk.

Elena was making some coffee and she turned around to face me. She asked, "What are you trying to get her to do now?" She had hands on her hips.

"Can't talk now honey, I'm busy getting our 1 year old to say Dada!" I focus back on my little girl. I continued to try to coach her into saying Dada.

"Come on Lexi day Dada for me." All she did was babble and look adorable.

I lift her up from her high chair and place her on the ground. I started to shake her hands like I was gonna dance with her. She always loves this. "You can do it! All you have to say is Dada!" But again it does not work but this time she giggles cause we're dancing. Even though it didn't work I was happy to hear her giggle. But I was determined, I'm not giving up.

"I'm sorry you burst your bubble honey, but I don't think it's gonna work."

"Yeah it will."

"No it won't."

"I bet I could though." She said, with a smirk.

"Bet you couldn't." I retorted.

"Bet I could!" She retorted back.

"Bet you couldn't!" I hissed.

"Bet I could!" She blurted.

"Bet you could-" I was cut off by her and she said, "Don't you dare finish that sentence Stefan Salvatore! We are adults not children! But...I bet I could get her to say mama!" She smiled slyly.

"Fine! May the best one of us get her to say Mama or Dada, you have yourself a deal Mrs. Salvatore." I say.

"I accept it Mr.Salvatore." She held her hand out and I shook it firmly.

Elena turned to Lexi. “Alright Missy can you say mama?” Elena asked. Lexi giggled but said nothing.

“I guess you were wrong.” I say, crossing my arms.

“No I'm not! And I am not finished yet.” She retorted. She was right, we were acting like children but at the moment I don't really care. I am determined to get her to say Dada.

“Then neither am I!” I picked up Lexi and held her in my arms.

“Oh no you don't Mister!” She took Lexi back into her arms. Lexi kept looking between us both with a puzzled expression. Or at least the best puzzle expression a 1 year old can come up with.

“What do you think you're doing?” I inquired.

“Taking my daughter back, Thank You very much.” She moved swiftly away. But I could be faster.

“Gimme back my daughter!” My arms were around Elena's waist, and I was going to pull her away from Elena. That was until I heard the door open revealing Bonnie. Elena and I freeze when Bonnie meets our gazes. I forgot we gave Bonnie an extra key. I really regret doing that now.

“What are you doing?” She asked, she looked horrified. She was horrified by the fact Elena and I were fighting over our daughter.

“Ummm…” I was at a loss for words. Elena turns to me trying to come up with something, “We're…” She trailed off, unable to come up with a good excuse.

“Nothing to worry about!” I shrugged off and removed my arms from Elena's. She raised her eyebrow at us. “Really? Cause I could say otherwise.” She remarked sassily.

“Really nothing!” Elena spoke up. Finally! Thanks for the backup my dear wife. I gave her a dirty look. She gave me a bashful look. My gaze softened, I could never be angry at her for long. But I am gonna get some payback. I smirked to myself. Oh I'm definitely going to be pranking her later.

Lexi was off in her own world until she spotted Bonnie. “Bonnie!” She squealed. Bonnie came closer and said, “Hi Lex! How's it going?” Lexi giggled at her enthusiasm.

“Traitor!” I muttered.

“Seriously?” Elena questioned. We both sighed in defeat. I guess no one won. Yay!

“May I?” Bonnie motioned to hold Lexi. “Of course.” I handed Lexi over.

“Why are you here again?”

“Oh Damon wanted me to drop your jacket off for him, you forgot it the last time you were at our place.”

She handed me my jacket. “Oh uh thanks!”

“You're welcome.” She turned away and bounced Lexi in her arms. I turned to Elena.

“I guess neither of us won the bet eh?”

“Nope.” She looked a little disappointed so was I but it did work out in the end.

“But she did say her first words.” I noted. “Our little girl said her first words!” Elena smiled at my enthusiasm.

“Just not in the way we thought she would.” She concluded.

“Yeah no. I didn't think her first words would be Bonnie but hey at least we know who her favorite aunt is.” I shrugged.

“Caroline will be mad.” Elena laughed softly.

“Yeah probably.” I agreed.

“I guess we shouldn't have fought over her huh then?” I said thoughtfully.

“Yeah probably not.” I lean closer, “Am I forgiven?”

“Stefan Salvatore asking for forgiveness? What a shame?” She gasped dramatically, putting her hand over her heart. I raised my eyebrow. She giggled. “Then yes as long as I am forgiven as well.”

“Yes you are forgiven as well.” I voiced. I leaned forward, closing the gap between us and pressing my lips to hers.

“Ew you two! Get a room!” Bonnie pleaded. while Lexi continued to chant Bonnie's name. We both giggled, smiling brightly at one another.

“This is our house, you know!” Elena says.

“Yeah well still!” She said she still looked disgusted. Elena and I let out another laugh, we shook our heads. Elena moved to Lexi's side and kissed her forehead affectionately. I followed suit and kissed her cheek, she let out another giggle. She was adorable. A traitor but adorable.

Her first words were not what we were expecting but it was still sweet. Even if she didn't say Dada or Mama.

Ships I ship even though they conflict with each other and the fandoms hate each other

Drarry/Dramione/any other Draco ship with some exceptions

Loved them both even though I’m not a fan of the original source. Never read the books. I’ve only seen the first two movies and bits and pieces of the others, but I like the ships. But I don’t really like Harry x Hermione, but if it’s in a fic I won’t complain about it. And I can ship Draco with literally any other student and the fics that are out there are amazing.

Zutara/Zukka

Love both. Not at the same time though. Love different things about both. But I still love both either way. Don’t get the hate both ships have for each other, cause they’re both kinda similar.

Hellcheer/Steddie

Don’t care that the fandoms hate each other cause I can read fics about both ships and love both of them equally. Didn’t even watch every season of stranger things, stopped at season two, but gifs and small clips have made me love both ships. Haven’t read a poly fic, yet, but open to it.

Rachel x Joey/Rachel x Chandler

Fell for these at different times. During the show I loved Joey and Rachel, but for fics I love Rachel and Chandler. Like they give different vibes and depending on which I want I just choose which kid of fic I want to read.

Jiara/jafe/kafe

Not 100% sure if those last two are the ship names but all three are interesting. But I do not like all three in a single ship. Last two are crack ships that have some good fics that I low key became an actual shipper.

Fexi/Lexi x Nate

The second started off as a crack ship, but there were some REALLY good fics on it that I just love it now. Wouldn’t work for the show at all and would not like it if the show let it happen cause it wouldn’t make sense, but that’s what’s the first ship is for.

Merthur/Merwaine

Either ship just works for me. There’s small things about each that just click and I can see it being a good idea. Any fic on whichever ship would just make sense.

Bamon/DamonxRose/Benzo

Absolutely love bamon with my whole heart but I can read an occasional fic about Damon and Rose. Fuck Julia for what she did to Kat cause Bonnie carried.

I could read fanfics on either ship and I’m okay with the other half being in a different ship in the meantime. Like if I’m reading about A x C I’m okay with B being in a ship I don’t like. Cause right now it’s not about A x B it’s about A x C and B is free to do whatever. (If this makes sense, it’s 3 am)

Always and Forever

A/N: This is upon the request of a very special friend who has an undying love for Stelena. Thank you so much for requesting this, I have never written a character x character fiction before and this was so exciting. Hope you like it <3 p.s. sorry for the delay!

Summary: So this fiction is based on the timeline of when the travelers did their spell and made Mystic Falls vampire free and Bonnie and Damon were stuck on the other side. Elena is still a human in this one because it's AU and she was together with Stefan until he turned his humanity off because he could not handle the pain. He leaves Elena which makes the situation worse. One night, Elena is attacked by a newbie vampire, would Stefan be there to save her or would he lose control?

Word Count: 2k

“Elena? …. Elena?” called out Caroline.

Elena soon zoned in, “Yeah, Caroline I was just thinking about…”

“Stefan?” said Caroline raising an eyebrow at her.

“No, actually I was thinking about what to gift you for your birthday.”

It has been nearly a month since the travelers sacrificed themselves and made mystic falls vampire-free. It was not easy for anyone. Bonnie and Damon could not make it through the other side. Elena and Caroline were missing their best friend and Stefan was missing the only family he had his brother Damon.

Caroline could not spend time with her mother. As Caroline couldn’t cross the Mystic Falls border, they had to meet just outside of Mystic Falls. Elena had it worse of all. She lost her best friend and her boyfriend Stefan. Stefan finally had the hope to get his best friend Lexi back but unfortunately Luke abruptly stopped Liv from doing the spell leaving Bonnie, Damon, and Lexi on the other side.

When Stefan got the news that Lexi and Damon are not coming back, he was devastated. He could not handle that pain and in turn, he flipped his humanity switch. No one could get him to turn his humanity back on. That was the thing with Stefan, he was an escapist he wanted to escape from all the overwhelming emotions and the thought of never seeing his brother ever again. He knew the consequences of turning into a ripper, but the pain of losing his brother overcame the love he had for his girl. He could not bear the loss and somehow felt that it was all his fault.

His ripper side worried everyone. He got admission into Whitmore college and started recklessly feeding off the students with no remorse.

Elena with help of her friends tried it all, the sweet talk of love, trying to show him hope, trying to tell him that their love is worth holding on to. When the talks failed, they adopted ‘The Lexi Method’. In some way, Enzo deceived Stefan and injected him with vervain. They locked him up, tortured him, and starved him. Nothing seemed to work, he was acting extremely stubborn this time. One day when Enzo went in to check on Stefan, he was surprised to see him gone. He had escaped and was nowhere to be found.

Elena lost all hope to get the love of her life back. She was not a vampire who could just turn her emotions off, she was a human and had no way to escape the feelings. She felt hollow and did want to have that spark of hope anymore. She soon realized that she had to keep herself together, she had to go through her life, and she had to keep moving. Maybe the love she was holding onto was not worth it and if their love was real Stefan would find a way back to her.

To distract herself she decided to throw Caroline a birthday party. To Elena it does not matter if her world was falling apart, she always wanted the best for her friends and she wanted everyone to make a fresh start, therefore she planned a surprise party for Caroline at the McKinley diner near their college since they could not go to the Grill. Back to the present, there she was sitting lifeless at the table “pretending” to enjoy the party.

“Oh, come on Elena, snap out of!” said Caroline as she knew Elena was lying to her about forgetting about Stefan. She knew her best friend more than anyone in the world.

“You need to get over that selfish man who could not even hold onto the love you had for him. Look around so many cute and hot guys are here at the party, and Liam hasn’t taken his eyes off of you the whole night, you should go talk to him aren’t you guys in the same class?”

“Yes, Caroline we are. But I am not in the mood for talking to guys and stuff,” said Elena.

Caroline pouted at the response “No I am not listening to you, it’s my birthday and you have to do as the birthday girl says,” she demanded.

Caroline was not wrong. Elena was a beautiful girl, and she wore a black laced V-neck dress exposing her cleavage but in a cute way. Elena could date any guy she wanted to, but she still missed Stefan, he was her soulmate after all.

But as Caroline insisted further, she walked up to Liam and talked to him. He was sweet, respectful, and hot. For a while Elena felt good, she had a smile on her face that was missing for the past month, and after a long time, she was happy.

She decided to leave for the dormitory early as she wanted to spend some time alone with herself and reflect on her thoughts.

“Hey, could I walk you to your room?” asked Liam politely.

“Um, thank you so much for asking Liam, but you should enjoy the party, it's still early. I'll be fine.”

“Yeah, yeah sure! So, see you in class?”

“Yeah, see you!” Elena smiled and proceeded towards the college.

The night was cold as it was October. Elena forgot to bring her coat and wanted to reach her room as fast as possible. Elena looked up and the sight of the night sky was alluring. The stars were shining brightly, and the pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw. She sighed and grinned at the sight in front of her eyes.

As she was walking towards the college, Stefan appeared in front of her out of nowhere and started walking with her. But she did not care, she was hurt enough and did not want to let her guard down again. She ignored him and started walking on her path.

“So, you are ignoring me now?” asked Stefan.

“What do you want Stefan?”

“Nothing, I just thought you could use some company as you are alone. Is it safe for you to be all alone at this hour of the night?” questioned Stefan.

“Why do you even care? Huh? You left me remember?”

“Oh no, I do not care at all. I don’t care if you are bitten by a vampire or get attacked by some drunk asshole. I just wanted to have some company because I was getting bored and look you are in a need of company too.”

Elena scoffed, “Well the vampire who was rashly feeding ran away so I guess I am safe," said Elena savagely.

Before Stefan could say anything, Elena continued, “you don’t get to do this Stefan. There was a man who loved me, who would do anything to protect me, but he left me and with him, all my feelings for him left too. He could not care less about the connection we had, about the memories we had. He left me. You don’t get to show up anytime you want to and pretend like you did not do anything like you didn’t hurt anyone. Just leave me alone, okay? I do not want you here no one does.”

Elena was on the verge of crying, but she did not want to show Stefan that she cared. She was strong enough to tell him that he made a mistake. Stefan stood there speechless as Elena walked away from him. Doesn't matter how hard she tried, the memories flooded back to her, she started thinking about the time when they were together and how he would do anything to save her. But unfortunately, that Stefan was far gone, and this thought made her sob and tears started streaming down her face as she continued walking.

She stopped abruptly as she saw a tall man standing in front of her, she was terrified and for a moment lost all her senses. Her heart was racing inside her chest as the man started walking closer to her, she reached for the pepper spray in her bag and sprayed it all over his face. This gave her a little head start and she ran as fast as she could, but that man was faster and as she turned she saw him standing right in front of her with the speed of light. She realized that he was a vampire. She gasped and decided to run again but before she could take any action, the vampire sunk his fangs into Elena’s neck.

Elena drowned in a terrifying blankness, the pain was hot and sharp. She could not scream, and tears started flowing down her eyes as she started losing consciousness. Before the vampire could suck more blood, he was thrown away from her and Elena fell to the ground. She was not strong enough to stand but she could see everything that was happening. Stefan came to her rescue. Stefan was infuriated by the incident and had no control over his anger, he walked up to the vampire in rage and ripped his heart out.

Stefan soon realized that Elena was hurt and needed help. He saw Elena and froze at the sight. Elena’s blood was rushing out of her body frantically and Stefan started losing control. He could smell her blood, he could hear the veins pumping inside her body, his face turned blue-black and his eyes red. He felt helpless and uneasy.

“Stefan, please don’t,” Elena whined. “Stefan, please don’t hurt me. You can control it, Stefan, just breathe.”

Stefan shut his eyes and took a deep breath. The veins started disappearing from his face and his eyes came back to normal. He rushed towards Elena and knelt on her body. He took her into his arms and bit one of his wrists to feed her some of his blood to save her life as she was losing consciousness. Elena started feeling better and glared into Stefan’s beautiful green eyes, the eyes she missed staring into.

“You flipped your switch?” Elena whimpered.

“Yes, I did. I am so sorry Elena. I should not have done that. I should not have left you alone, I should have understood that you were going through the same thing. You lost your best friend too. I am so sorry to abandon you like that and to turn my back on you. I promise that I am here with you. We will go through this together. I love you so much and I never want to leave you ever again. I committed a terrible mistake, Elena, please forgive me.”

Tears were streaming down Stefan’s eyes as he could see that just because of him Elena was hurt and that she could have died tonight. He was hurt because of the pain that Elena had to go through because of him and he was apologetic about it. He wanted to make everything okay. He was trapped under a pile of guilt and felt terrible.

“It’s okay Stefan. I forgive you. There is nothing more than okay to know that you are here with me and that you turned your humanity back on. I love you too Stefan, more than anything. I am so glad that you were here to save me, I could have died,” said Elena wiping tears off Stefan’s face while sobbing.

Stefan cut her off and said, “Hey, don’t say that. And I feel terrible that you had to nearly die to get my humanity back. I am here for you always and remember you are Elena Gilbert, you always survive.” Elena lightly chucked and said, “I love you, Stefan, we are in this together.”

Stefan held her tight like he was never going to let her go ever again. He loved her and she loved him. The connection between them was impenetrable. They were soulmates and no matter what the circumstances were, they always found a way back to each other.

ABOUT.

Melanie grew up in the countryside of Georgia, with her twin sister, Vic, and her younger sisters Jasmine and Lexi. And even though they were each twins, all four sisters were close in their own way. Melanie fell somewhere between Vic’s wild shouts, Lexi’s indignant screeches and Jasmine’s sensitive sweetness. She was a bit of a schemer, always a bit mischievous – using any natural charm at her disposal to her advantage. She and Vic in particular were known for causing their own brand of mayhem, with Mel lulling people into a false sense of security before Vic struck. They were their own sort of Bonnie and Clyde, at least until they moved closer to Atlanta.

Vic chose to join the Cross pack while Melanie followed their other sisters to the Vaismans. It was hard at first, feeling that her sister chose another pack over their family, but it didn’t negate the bond the sisters shared, even between packs. And it was an opportunity for Mel to prove her own cunning and mettle apart from her twin. Things changed when the Cross pack pushed the Vaismans out of the Atlanta region, and Mel held her breath until Vic joined them again, going to New Orleans.

Settling in Nola meant finding a new rhythm and way of living in a city that marched to the beat of its own drum. She would get jobs waiting tables or as a bartender at trendy restaurants in the French Quarter, identifying marks that she and Vic could “run” into later.

Three years in the French Quarter flew by before the war on supernaturals began. The French Quarter fires burned their lives to ash, forcing them to leave yet another home. Separated from their younger sisters and pack members, Melanie and Vic managed to get out of the city by the skin of their teeth.

What would follow is three years of trial by fire. They survived together, scheming their way across the country and avoiding capture. Though they searched for their sisters and pack members, Mel and Vic never encountered them. But along the way they did meet a fair number of supernaturals. Still, they never trusted anyone beyond themselves and often took what they could from groups they encountered, making away like thieves in the night.

By 2023, they’d made their way into Canada and in the summer they stumbled upon a small town. They planned to take supplies in the night, thinking they could get away with it. Mistaken, Mel and Vic were captured by wolves there and taken to the town’s leader. Adrie Grimm saw Mel’s cunning and Vic’s strength and knew they could be of use. They were offered a place amongst the sisterhood of werewolves and witches Adrie had established and for the first time in three years, they decided to stay somewhere for longer than a week.

Mel is still searching for their sisters along with Vic but she can’t deny that it feels good to have a pack again. Winter’s arrival has been tough, with supplies dwindling and searches for family stalled, so Mel’s begun to exchange glances with Vic, wondering if they should cut their losses and get on the road once more.

- liz has care/davina, good with the girls but also super busy … the girls are always hanging out w/ the salvatores ‘cause liz and giuseppe find it convenient (self-babysitting),

- klaus and damon have a deal where they pretend their injuries were from fighting each other (probably began one day when they did get into a fight and the next day, there were bruises that didn’t match, unspoken agreement/alliance)

- angst. so much angst. 60% internalised homophobia and 40% externalised homophobia.

- enzo works in a bar, plays guitar there some nights. (damon coincidentally turns up whenever live musics playing, eventually says something like “the food at this restaurant is crappy, i just come to watch you play/sing.”) their dynamic is very “i always tease you because that’s just our thing we tease each other but for some reason you snapped at me and are you okay? what’s wrong?” and their friendship began one day when damon was all “I took a liking to you the second you tried to bullshit your way through your forgotten motivational speech assignment in class by just reciting the lyrics to 'Circle of Life’ from the Lion King and seeing how long you could get away with it.” and enzo’s just “yeah. got an a for it, too.”

- street urchin x rich boy aesthetic.

- enzo’s too stubborn to ask for help and damon’s too stubborn to let it go (and vice versa.) [you showed up at my place in the middle of the night with bruises and blood and you won’t say what happened so I just lead you into the bathroom and clean you up//your hands ache and your knuckles are bleeding and you won’t tell me why so I’m gonna bandage them and hold your hand while we sit here in companionable silence.]

- damon’s very impulsive and acts all ‘i don’t care’ yet he gets up at the crack of dawn to feed the neighbourhood cats. enzo’s all old boots and roughhousing in public, but at home he’s really shakespeare and chamomile tea.

- late at night when enzo can’t sleep he throws pebbles at damon’s window and they go sit on the rooftop, hanging out, sharing a joint and secret smiles while enzo spouts all this deep philosophical bullshit he got out of whichever novel damon’s lent him lately, and damon just listens, commenting here and there, until they eventually fall asleep with their legs tangled and bodies pressed together.

Rowing the Rarepair Rowboat: Bonnie Bennett x Lexi Branson (The Vampire Diaries)

There's a quiet thunk from the other side of the room. Bonnie startles and spins around in her chair, only to sigh in relief when she realizes it's not a traveller or any other enemy coming to bother her. Just a ghost.

Lexi appears just as startled. She stares down at the book now on the floor by Bonnie's bed, then lifts her wide eyes to meet Bonnie's frown.

'It's getting worse,' Lexi says with a note of urgency. She steps closer as Bonnie turns back around with another sigh. 'I can touch things now, Bonnie. Move things. How much worse is this going to get?'

She doesn't want to answer that. Her mind gets stuck on part of what she said. That she can touch things now. It takes all of her self-restraint to bite her tongue and not ask the thing she wants to ask.

'I know,' she says in response to the first part. 'I'm trying to fix it.'

There's silence. It's deafening. Suffocating. It smothers Bonnie, getting into her lungs and her head, and she feels like she's about to explode with the hopeless statement full of false promises and lies.

When she glances back at Lexi to see if she's gone, she finds her hesitating with an outstretched hand. Bonnie's breath catches but she nods shakily for her to try.

The fear of it not working radiates off of both of them, filling the air with a pulsing beat. Bonnie wants to grab her hand herself.

Closing her eyes, Lexi exhales with a breathless smile as Bonnie deflates with further relief. She swallows, then places her hand on top of Lexi's and carefully takes it between both of her own.

Lexi looks down at her with wide eyes once more. 'I've wanted to be able to touch someone... to feel another person for... so long.'

Bonnie holds her tighter. Assuring her with a steady nod.

The longer that they both stare, the more their smiles slip. The realization sinks in and it's harder to find the sliver of joy in the collision between their planes.

'That's not... good, is it?' Lexi says quietly.

Bonnie smiles sadly at her. 'No. I don't think it is.' Then she takes a deep breath. 'But for now, it's okay to be happy about it. I would too if I hadn't had any physical contact for as long as you have.'

Lexi nods jerkily. She sits on the empty space on Bonnie's desk, keeping hold of one of her hands. Bonnie doesn't mind, just goes back to what she was doing, which happened to be trying to find any way to stop the collapse of the Other Side.

They stay like that for a while. Neither of them speaks. When Bonnie glances up at Lexi, she finds her with her head resting again the wall but her eyes open, watching her in silence. They share a small smile, then Bonnie lowers her gaze again, gently rubbing the back of Lexi's hand with her other, reminding her that it's real.

There is nothing. They are all alone.

It's an overwhelmingly lonely thought and it makes Bonnie's breath catch and her eyes sting. She buries her face in her hands with a deep noise like a whimper, then buries them in her knees as she pulls them close to her body.

For the first time since they got to this... prison. This Other World. She feels hopeless. She had staved off the feeling for as long as possible with unshakeable optimism, clinging desperately to hope and all of the ways in which the universe has turned around for her before.

Not right now. It's maybe three in the morning and she's tired. Exhausted, actually. Of being hopeful. Of repeating this stupid day over and over again. Of only seeing two other people. Of being here.

She wants to just cry it all out until she falls asleep, and then maybe, maybe, she'll wake up and she'll be home. Back in her own world by some miraculous intervention.

There's a soft knock on the door. Bonnie doesn't respond, expecting them to go away. Instead, she hears the click of it opening, followed by a gentle sigh. The old Salvatore House floorboards creak lightly.

It's definitely not Damon. If it were, he would've said something snarky by now. He would've probably flung the door open and waltzed in.

Lexi sits beside her on the bed. Her hand sits on Bonnie's knee, and another strokes the back of her head.

'It's okay to cry,' she tells her softly. 'This sucks, right?'

For some reason, a laugh bubbles in Bonnie's throat.

'Trust me, I definitely would not have chosen to get stuck with Damon Salvatore. I would've let the Other Side drag me to hell if I'd known I'd be stuck with him for all of eternity.'

Bonnie hums her agreement, sniffles, and turns her head to look up at her. She attempts to smile back at Lexi, who tilts her head with a sympathetic sort of look.

'It doesn't have to suck, though,' she continues, shaking her head. 'We can make the best of it. Think about it, Bonnie. We have a whole world to ourselves. No barriers. No borders. We could go literally anywhere without it costing a single dollar. You ever wanted to travel?'

Truth be told, she has. She nods.

'Where have you always wanted to go?' Lexi asks.

Bonnie sniffs again, wiping away a stray tear before resting her cheek in her hand. 'Don't judge me, but... Paris.'

Lexi grins. 'Great choice. It's beautiful. So, let's go.'

Bonnie's smile slips away and she shakes her head. 'It's not that simple. We need to find a way back. And what if we leave here, then someone on the other side finds a way to get us out, but they can't find us?'

A fragile silence falls between them as they look at each other. They both know that it's a quickly crumbling hope built on already broken ground. They're not getting out. No one is looking for them. No one will find them.

Tears threaten to fall again but she blinks quickly, refusing to let them win. Rubbing her eyes roughly, she looks away as Lexi sighs softly.

'Bonnie... I don't think we're ever getting out of here. Maybe there is a way, I don't know, but I don't think we're going to find it just... waiting here miserably.'

'And we would in Paris?' Bonnie says, half-bitter, half-joking.

Lexi shrugs. 'Maybe. Maybe not. But at least we'd have fun. And, bright side, we'd be away from our third musketeer. God, wouldn't you love a week without hearing him singing in the morning? Without his constant complaining? You could even get a full night's sleep without his snoring.'

Bonnie laughs again. Why is she actually tempted? Maybe Lexi has a point. Maybe this is her chance to just... give in to what the universe has thrown at her and she might actually get something out of it for once. A little bit of fun. Like dancing in the rain. Find the good in the bad.

She takes a deep breath, then says, 'Can I think about it?'

Lexi smiles softly and nods. She pats his knee. 'Of course. Think of Paris. And French pastries.' She gets off of the bed to leave. 'Think about whatever will make you happy, Bonnie.'
