idk i'm just thinking about josie saying "my sister is the queen of self harm" while she's trying to stop landon from hurting himself, yet when Lizzie is having a major breakdown and Hope wants to help her, Josie says that Hope should just isolate Lizzie because letting her crash is "the only way anything will ever change" or whatever the fuck. knowing her sister struggles with self harm. "lizzies so full of herself" lizzie hates herself. she puts on an act and pretends she's better than everyone but she literally just wants to be loved so desperately. she tries not to show that the way everyone treats her gets to her by acting like she's better than them anyway but she's so deeply affected and hurt by it. She cares so so much. and no matter what she does it's never enough. No matter how she changes. No matter how many kind things she goes out of her way to do, they still just hate her. of course it makes her hate herself. how could it not?
