Help Islam and His Family Survive and Evacuate Gaza
@islamgazaaccount3
Hello Free World
I want to share the story of Islam, a person I have followed for a long time, even before October 7. This is the story of one of the many Gazan people living through unimaginable hardships.
At the beginning of the war, Islam's home was demolished—not once, but TWICE. Everything was lost—his family home, his work, and any hope of survival. Islam and his family are doing their best to survive in this dire situation.
They sought refuge in a tent in Rafah, but then the Israeli occupation forces began operations in Rafah. For the second time, they lost everything, even their tent.
A tent in Gaza costs $800, and Islam struggled with his family to find a place to live. There is no safe place in Gaza, no clean water—just polluted water that leads to countless diseases. Islam and his family are suffering from many of them.
To buy food in Gaza, you need a large amount of money. To get medical care, you need even more. To escape the constant death and displacement, you need a fortune. Finding a suitable shelter is another expensive challenge. And if you want to evacuate and escape this ongoing tragedy, it requires an unimaginable amount of money.
I can’t even begin to imagine the hardship this family has faced just to survive until now. Islam and his family are not just numbers. It is our duty to help them live the life they deserve.
It has been almost a YEAR of war, and the situation is becoming more desperate by the day. Let’s help them before it’s too late.
After the Rafah operation, Islam started a fundraising campaign, but it hasn’t received enough attention like other campaigns. He’s only raised $2K out of the $60K needed. (the last donation was in 3 days!!!)
Islam has tried his best to spread his campaign and seek help. He deserves to live his life, to achieve his dreams, and to find peace in a safe place. Let’s not wait until it’s too late. Please consider helping Islam’s campaign. Together, we can give them the chance to live the life they deserve. Any donation, big or small, can make a huge difference. I'm trying to spread his campaign but eventually get no enough help, many of people answered the asks many of people shared his story but no one reached out to help!!
Please read Islam's story and put yourself in his situation, he had a lovely house, a job, a quite live, dreams and all this was gone in the blink of an eye.
Islam's campaign has been verified by

Just came across this post and it got me thinking that Islam encourages spreading kindness and love. If we all start ignoring these values, what's the point of living?
If someone hates us just because of the one mistake we made, then that person isn't considered bad. So instead of complaining about it let's improve ourselves first instead of blaming that person. Not all people are bad, some appear to be bad but they're not.
Let's come together and pray for a peaceful world where humanity and unity prevail. May Allah Azzawajal guide us to be a source of peace for others. Ameen 🤍

you blocked me so i can't even respond directly but i'm not that easily put off by stupidity or cries of racism
original post that i reblogged:
your response
nothing like misquoting me entirely and then not even stringing two coherent thoughts together.
what i actually said:
"Like. "well there's always conflict in the middle-east" somehow doesn't make them wonder who is making all this conflict? Like? Who is the largest ethnic group in the Middle East? Ah, it's the Arabs."
Here is what you said, no edits, copied and pasted.
"one year of genocide later and israel has only expanded its reign of terror. make no mistake: their goal is to pillage, colonize, and destroy the levant so that they can rebuild it in their image. a year of outright ethnic cleansing while the world sits by and watches. this is not “war”, it is the intentional extermination of multiple populations, and it is not normal. people love to say “well there’s always conflict in the middle east” because they cannot fathom that arabs are human beings and that they are currently being subjected to inhumane atrocities. do not look away. do not let the spread of information slow. we are currently living through a genocide. what are you going to do for your fellow man?"
let's break this down yeah?
first you posted this on Sunday (Oct. 6th) at 7:42 PM, how do I know this? I checked the post itself. It wasn't even Oct. 7th, which even if it had been that wouldn't been the most laughable time to post such a stupid remark since HAMAS attacked Israel on Oct. 7th, starting this conflict. The conflict hadn't even started yet as Israel hadn't even attacked yet or been attacked yet. Was this not intentional extermination?
moving on from that.
there always being conflict in the middle-east should itself raise many questions, especially when the middle-east's biggest ethnic group is Arabs and Islam is the most widely followed religion in the area.
the common denominator should be looked at and it has been.
The Islamic State was the deadliest terror group in 2023, followed by HAMAS, Jamaat Nusrat Al-Islam wal Muslimeen and Al-Shabaab.
All four of these are extremist Islamic groups and all but Al-Shabaab are responsible for over 1,000 deaths each, Al-Shabaab only managing 499.
Not every Muslim is an extremist, just like not every Christian is a good person that follows the actual teachings of Christ to be a good person.
But the common denominator sure is pretty obvious.

I've found this great app, and I wanna share it with y'all. It's called:
Salam App: Muslim Companion.
The app is developed by a team based in Canada. They do this work as a form of charity for the greater good of the Umma, entirely for free. I for one think this is highly commendable and I pray that inshallah the developers will recieve many blessings for their deed.
Beside that: the app does A LOT! And it looks nice as well.
For starters, there are all the basics like qibla finder, prayer times corresponding to your location and reminder notifications. Adding to that, there's entire Holy Quran with three commentaries, all major hadith collections, a lot of dua, dhikr and other materials.
Sure, but a lot of other apps has these as well I hear you say. True. What set's "Salam App: Muslim companion" apart is it's high level of technical and scholarly qualities together with high customisability.
For example, Holy Quran can by displayed and read in multiple arabic fonts, with or without transcription and/or translation, with or without a commentary. Any hadith can be easily accesed from the same app, prayer related things are madhab-adjustible, and all this and more offline, ready in your phone. Oh, and did I mention audio Quran? Because they have audio version now as well.
Controls are intuitive, visuals are beautiful and adjustible as well, and there's active development and technical support.
I think that anyone, muslim or a non-muslim interested in (and inshallah on their way to conversion to) Islam can highly benefit from this app. Even if you don't utilize the prayer features, it can serve you as a compact and a potent resource for your studies of Holy Quran and hadith.
Let's bring this amazing work to more people, and spread the word of Allah. It is dawah and a commendable deed. Please reblog this or share the app directly, so more people can benefit from it!
Alhamdulillah, Subhanallah.

AITA for not wanting my brother to follow Islam?🐢
(Emoji so I can recognize my submission)
⚠WARNING⚠: This is a reaaal long one and also contains discussion of some potentially triggering subjects.
I'll try and explain this as concisely as I can but this is just a part of a long ongoing issue I have had with my brother. I (16F/X) have been at odds with my brother (19M) over a multitude of subjects. We debate often but the problem is he is very stubborn so the debates usually don't result in anything beyond me being frustrated and his opinions remaining unchanged. The problem is that he has unfortunately started going down a nazi rabbit hole and picking up all sorts of extremely harmful ideas. I'll list some of them for you so you can get a general picture: Denying evolution, the rothschild conspiracy, general antisemitism, transphobia, monarchism /facism, calling all sexual content filthy, misogynistic ideas, hating on atheists, etc. As an atheist who is also aroace, nonbinary and also very progressive, this makes me feel greatly uncomfortable. Let me be clear, I don't think I'm the asshole for opposing these ideas, the part where I could be the asshole is me opposing his transition into religion. A lot of his more radical ideas started sprouting after he started getting into Islam like the whole denying evolution thing and his rampant antisemetism. Also just to be clear, I have nothing against Muslims and I am not trying to say that Muslims inherently don't believe in basic science, it's just the particular circles that my brother has been exposed to that are giving him these ideas. However I will acknowledge the that it might be my own implicit bias that is making me reject his own interest in Islam. I'd also like to note my brother has been struggling with his health basically his entire teen life, where he has trouble sleeping, has barely any energy and this has led to him becoming depressed. He barely has any interests and those he had he's recently said he no longer enjoys. It's clear to me this is why such toxic ideas have appealed to him, because he feels disconnected and lonely. He barely goes out, he barely eats, he sleeps until the early afternoon, he has to shave and shower every single time he goes out and if he accidentally nicks himself while shaving he will adamantly refuse to go. It really upsets me to see him this way because I can tell he is suffering but he will never talk to me about it. However it doesn't change the fact that he has said some truly abhorrent things. I have tried many times to show him he's wrong or to gently guide him towards a more progressive and educated outlook but he is too stubborn to change.
This fully came to a head when we were having dinner together with our parents and he kept repeating the same arguments that god must be real because XYZ or, evolution is fake because XYZ and I would tell him why I disagreed with his reasoning. Continue in circles for two whole hours. This ended with me telling him that he was a dumbass and that he should stop watching religious content.
I feel I am an asshole here because just as I don't want to be forced into a religion, I shouldn't force him out of one, but I feel since he's picked up religious ideas he's only gotten worse. Just yesterday he officially became a Muslim at a nearby mosque. I feel I should be happy for him but I can already see problems that may arise. He has to do 5 prayers (salat) a day at certain times and this morning he slept through two. I also worry about Ramadan since he's already very skinny and barely eating, I don't think further fasting will help at all.
Even worse, he's been spreading some of his ideas to my parents. They don't take on all his BS thankfully but they have absorbed some of the more troubling stuff, particularly his transphobia. I try to avoid queer topics as much as I can for this reason but whenever it does come up I always feel sick just sitting there listening to them.
Yet again I want to reiterate that Muslims are not a monolith and do not all share the same opinions but an unfortunately high number are greatly opposed to the idea of queer people. Not to mention many hold strong beliefs regarding the strict divisions of male and female. I don't know. Yet again, it could just be accidental Islamophobia on my part but I don't think it's a coincidence that he started getting more extreme once he got into particular Muslim circles.
So tumblr, AITA?
What are these acronyms?

The Fascinating Impact of Islamic Trade Expansion
In the rich legacy of Islam, trade emerges as a vibrant thread, stitching together diverse cultures and societies. The profound impact of Islamic trade on the spread of Islam, and its transformative influence in regions such as East Africa and Indonesia. Through engaging insights, we uncover the beauty of Islam as a unifying force that transcends borders and fosters connections among people.
Trade Routes as Pathways of Faith
Islamic trade flourished along the ancient Silk Road, acting as a conduit not only for goods but also for the exchange of ideas and beliefs. The Quran emphasises the importance of knowledge and learning, encouraging the pursuit of wisdom through interactions with different cultures.
O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware. Quran 49:13
Prophet Muhammad’s teachings promote fair and ethical trade practices, emphasising honesty and transparency in all transactions. These principles laid the foundation for a positive image of Muslims in the trading world.
‘Deal not unjustly, and you shall not be dealt with unjustly.’ (2:279)
‘God loves those who are fair and just.’ (49:9)
‘A truthful and trustworthy merchant will be in the company of the Prophets, the upright and the martyrs.’ (reported by Tirmidhi)
East Africa: Islamic Trade and Cultural Fusion
Islamic trade played a pivotal role in the cultural and religious fusion along the Swahili Coast creating a melting pot of cultural influences. The exchange of goods was accompanied by the exchange of ideas, leading to the flourishing of Islam in East Africa.
Muslim traders in East Africa became integral members of local communities, contributing to the socio-economic development of the region and making it one of the wealthiest regions in the world at the time. This interaction exemplified Islam’s emphasis on community and mutual support.
The maritime routes of the Indonesian archipelago served as conduits for Islamic traders, bringing not only spices but also the teachings of Islam. The Quran encourages exploration and appreciation of the diverse creations of Allah.
We will show them Our signs in the universe and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that this ˹Quran˺ is the truth. Is it not enough that your Lord is a Witness over all things? Quran 41:53
Islam took root in Indonesia, fostering unity amidst the diverse cultures of the archipelago. The Quran celebrates diversity of cultures and people, recognising it as a divine manifestation resulting in the spread of Islam to a plethora of different cultures worldwide, making a religion that started among the Arabs become a religion where only 20% of the Muslim population are Arab.
The beauty of Islam unfolds through its impact on trade, acting as a catalyst for cultural exchange, knowledge dissemination, and exchange among diverse communities. As we reflect on the historical journeys of Islamic traders, let’s appreciate the way Islam’s principles of fairness, honesty, and community building have left an indelible mark on the regions they touched.

Wicca and "Cultural appropriation"
I am sick of other Neo Pagan sects deciding that Wicca is "cultural appropriation" and "problematic." Tonight someone tried to scold me and tell me that I should not say that Wiccans celebrate Yule (it was actually a post with a list of Neo-Pagan faiths that have a version of Yule) because they "appropriated" it from Scandinavian religions that had it first and Wicca was "only created in the 1950s." Okay, let me break a few things down here. 1. Yes, it's easy to say Wicca is "new" because it wasn't an official religion in the UK until the 1950s but let's consider an important point. Until the 1950s Witchcraft was still illegal in the UK. No religion was allowed to be officially recognized that practiced witchcraft until then. America didn't even acknowledge Wicca as a religion option for military personnel until 2007. Scooby Doo acknowledged Wicca as a religion before The American government. The actual word Wicca Is Old English for Witch (masculine spelling). The feminine spelling was Wicce. They were pronounced as Witch-ah and Witch-uh. There was a very slight difference for gender specification. Eventually middle and modern English would drop the a and e at the end and settle on "witch" as an (intended) gender neutral term. Like the word Wizard (which came from Wizened) the word Witch meant (Someone who had their wits about them. Until the early middle ages the word meant "Wise person." And that's how Wiccans use the term now. 2. It's become fashionable to pearl clutch and say all cultures should stay separate and not borrow from each other because it's "cultural appropriation." Some "helpful" people even DMed me Youtube videos about why Wicca is a "Problematic" element in Pagan communities solely because it borrows from multiple religions. But literally every religion does it if you look at it long enough. So does Christianity, and Judaism, and Islam. And even Hermeticism which is part Greek, part Egyptian. Merging the two together. (And a LOT of Neo-Paganism is Hermetic) How come all of those can do it but when Wicca does it, that's the one called out where people are shamed? The people practicing "Real Paganism" forget the "Neo" part. That means "new." It's cobbled together from things that were suppressed and often lost to history. Even the Nordic Eddas are incomplete and were first written down by Christian Monks who altered things to (among other things) make Loki more of a Satan figure than he actually was. Almost all Neo Paganism uses hermeticism. Do you know what that is? It's from an era in Greek history where the Greek God Hermes was merged with the Egyptian God Toth. The two were merged into a single being and that's where a lot of Neo Paganism comes from. The teachings from that period where there was Greek / Egyptian appropriation. The Roman Gods evolved from the Greek Gods. Even when we discuss the beliefs of the First Nations there are overlaps because one Nation borrowed from another and beliefs spread. Modern Voodoo is a mixture of West African, Catholic, and Hattian folk beliefs. Mexican Catholicism is very different from French Catholicism. Imagine The Day of the Dead and Saint Death in Paris. When you believe something, truly believe it, you don't covet it as something only certain people are allowed to believe in. If you think of it as truth - as fact, you want others to believe it too. This is not cultural appropriation. This is cultural appreciation. 3. If you think Wiccans shouldn't be allowed to call their winter holiday Yule, you are essentially saying it's okay to call Christmas by Yule and the Christmas season Yuletide. And Christians can even burn Yule Logs but you'll Pearl clutch "How dare Wiccans call their festival the name of the millennia old Scandinavian festival!" Because Wicca = Bad? Christian = Well, they did that a long time ago and Wicca's new-ish despite being a re-adaption of a lot ancient practices.
Yes, Wicca is a hodgepodge religion of many beliefs cobbled together. So are most religions when you break them down. None are truly safe from "contamination" from other religions. This separate yet equal / segregation and "Wicca's bad because it appropriates" needs to stop. Aren't there enough prejudices that ALL Neo-Pagan faiths need to worry about? We don't need this "in-fighting".

By: Michael Shermer
Published: Nov 13, 2023
On November 11, 2023, my friend, colleague, and hero Ayaan Hirsi Ali released a statement explaining "Why I am Now a Christian".
I have known Ayaan for many years. She has been a guest on my podcast, and I on her podcast. We have appeared together at conferences. I have read all of her books and support her heroic work defending women’s rights, civil rights, free speech, and freedom of religious expression, along with her brave stand against intolerance, bigotry, and hate, religious or otherwise. I’ll never forget when she spoke at Occidental College when I was a professor there, when during the Q&A two Muslim women dressed in the hijab accused her of Islamophobia for unfairly characterizing Islam as a religion of violence. “Then why do I have to have to travel with armed guards to protect me from death threats I receive from members of my own religion of Islam?” she rejoined understatedly and with characteristic aplomb. Ayaan has pride of place in the pantheon of greats who have had the courage of their convictions to the point of putting their own lives on the line in the name of universal principles of justice and freedom.
Nothing Ayaan has written in her essay changes my evaluation of her as a heroic figure. I simply think she is mistaken. We all are about a great many things. Maybe I am wrong here and she is right. But I think reason and history prove otherwise. Let me explain in the spirit of respect for what is on the line here, starting with the subtitle of Ayaan’s essay: “Atheism can't equip us for civilisational war.” She’s right, but not in the way she thinks.
Atheism per se can’t equip anyone for anything because it is not a belief system or worldview. Atheism just designates a lack of belief in God. Full stop. It is a purely negative statement, an indicator that someone does not believe. A lack of belief can never be the basis of a belief system. I am an atheist in the same sense that I am an a-supernaturalist or an a-paranormalist. There is no such thing as the supernatural or the paranormal. These descriptors are just linguistic place-holders for mysteries we have yet to explain. Once explained, they move into the realm of the natural and the normal. If there is a realm of the supernatural or the paranormal, there is no way for a natural and normal being like us to perceive or understand it.
From this misunderstanding of what atheism is, Ayaan deduces that it can’t handle the stressors of current events:
Western civilisation is under threat from three different but related forces: the resurgence of great-power authoritarianism and expansionism in the forms of the Chinese Communist Party and Vladimir Putin’s Russia; the rise of global Islamism, which threatens to mobilise a vast population against the West; and the viral spread of woke ideology, which is eating into the moral fibre of the next generation.
Again, she’s right. Atheism can do nothing about these threats because it is not a positive assertion of principles that counter authoritarianism, expansionism, Islamism, China, Russia, and woke ideology. What can? Ayaan mentions “modern, secular tools: military, economic, diplomatic and technological efforts to defeat, bribe, persuade, appease or surveil.” She says these are not enough because “we find ourselves losing ground.” Are we? I don’t think so. But it’s a debatable point, so let’s set aside for a moment the matter of whether or not the world is getting better or worse this week, month, or year, and take the long view of what has driven moral progress over the centuries.
In my books The Moral Arc and Giving the Devil His DueI show that it isn’t atheism bending the arc of justice and freedom, but Enlightenment humanism—a cosmopolitan worldview that places supreme value on human and civil rights, individual autonomy and bodily integrity, free thought and free speech, the rule of law, and science and reason as the best tools for determining the truth about anything. It incorporates scientific naturalism, the principle that the methods of science operate under the presumption that the world and everything in it is the result of natural processes in a system of material causes and effects that does not allow, or need, the introduction of supernatural forces. By extension from above, if God is a supernatural being outside of space and time and therefore unknowable in any rational or empirical manner, it is not possible for natural creatures like us to understand a supernatural deity.
Scientific naturalism and Enlightenment humanism made the modern world, and many of the founding fathers of the United States, for example Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, and John Adams, were either practicing scientists or were trained in the sciences, and their construction of the Constitution and the principles on which it is based were thoroughly secular and based on the best science and philosophy of the day. It is my hypothesis that in the same way that Galileo and Newton discovered physical laws and principles about the natural world that really are out there, so too did the founders discover moral laws and principles about human nature and society that really do exist.
Just as it was inevitable that the astronomer Johannes Kepler would discover that planets have elliptical orbits—given that he was making accurate astronomical measurements, and given that planets really do travel in elliptical orbits, he could hardly have discovered anything else—scientists studying political, economic, social, and moral subjects will discover certain things that are true in these fields of inquiry. For example, that democracies are better than autocracies, that market economies are superior to command economies, that torture and the death penalty do not curb crime, that burning women as witches is a fallacious idea, that women are not too weak and emotional to run companies or countries, that blacks do not like being enslaved, and that the Jews do not want to be exterminated. Why?
The answer is that it is in human nature to struggle to survive and flourish in the teeth of nature’s entropy, and having the freedom, autonomy, and prosperity available in free societies—built as they were on the foundation of scientific naturalism and Enlightenment humanism that seek to discover the best way for humans to live— enables individual sentient beings to live out their evolved destinies. This is moral realism, and it doesn’t require a deity to justify its validity. Steven Pinker explains the logic:
If I appeal to you to do anything that affects me—to get off my foot, or tell me the time or not run me over with your car—then I can’t do it in a way that privileges my interests over yours (say, retaining my right to run you over with my car) if I want you to take me seriously. Unless I am Galactic Overlord, I have to state my case in a way that would force me to treat you in kind. I can’t act as if my interests are special just because I’m me and you’re not, any more than I can persuade you that the spot I am standing on is a special place in the universe just because I happen to be standing on it.
This is the principle of the interchangeability of perspectives (developed in Pinker’s 2018 book Enlightenment Now), which is the core of the oldest moral principle discovered multiple times around the world throughout history: the Golden Rule. Pinker notes that it also forms the basis of “Spinoza’s Viewpoint of Eternity, the Social Contract of Hobbes, Rousseau and Locke; Kant’s Categorical Imperative; and Rawls’s Veil of Ignorance. It also underlies Peter Singer’s theory of the Expanding Circle—the optimistic proposal that our moral sense, though shaped by evolution to overvalue self, kin and clan, can propel us on a path of moral progress, as our reasoning forces us to generalize it to larger and larger circles of sentient beings.”
Thus, there are perfectly rational reasons to ground morals and values in universal humanistic principles, and these do not depend on adherents being theists or atheists. That they are universal principles mean that they apply to all people—Jews, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, pantheists, deists, agnostics, and atheists. Whether or not there is a God—much less the Christian God—is irrelevant. That’s what universal means.
Are there good reasons to believe in God? Theists certainly think that there are, but atheists are just as certain that there are not. Who is right? I have written numerous articles, essays, reviews, and book chapters on this subject, and in my next book, Truth: What it is, How to Find it, Why it Matters (forthcoming from Johns Hopkins University Press in 2025) I review the top 20 philosophical and scientific arguments for God’s existence and the counterarguments against them, so I won’t adjudicate the matter here. I will simply note that both sides have strong arguments and that, ultimately, it is not a question that can be definitively answered in the affirmative through philosophy or science, so it comes down to faith—one either makes the leap for personal reasons, or not.
As for Christianity, since Ayaan has declared her fielty to that particular faith over all others, I will concede her point that on the three threats facing the West that concern her (and me)—(1) the authoritarianism/expansionism of Islamism, (2) China and Russia, and (3) woke ideology—Christian conservatives have a clearer vision than atheist (or even theist) Leftists about the threat that Islamism, China and Russia, and woke ideology pose to the West (including and especially the LGBTQ community that would not fare well under such regimes). But this is political pragmatism pure and simple—“Say what you want about Christian conservatives, at least they know what a woman is!” I’m sympathetic to the sentiment, but is it a basis for a worldview? I think not. We should believe things because they are true, not just because they are politically pragmatic.
Consider what’s on demand in Christianity—that Jesus was the Messiah, was crucified, and was resurrected from the dead. (As the apostle Paul said in 1 Cor. 15:13-19: “if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. … And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!”) Is that true? My first question is this: Why don’t Jews accept the resurrection as real, either in Jesus’ time or in ours? Jews believe in the same God as Christians. They accept the same holy book as Christians do (the Hebrew Bible, or Old Testament). They even believe in the Messiah. They just don’t think the carpenter from Galilee was him. Jewish rabbis, scholars, philosophers, and historians all know the arguments for the resurrection as well as Christian apologists and theologians, and still they reject them. That’s telling.
What would it take for a rational person to accept the resurrection? Let’s put some numbers on it. Demographers estimate that throughout all of human history approximately 100 billion people have lived before the 8 billion people alive today. Not one has died and returned from the dead, unless you are a Christian, in which case you believe that one person did—Jesus of Nazareth. So the claim that one person out of those 100 billion people who died came back from the dead would be extraordinary indeed—100 billion to 1. Is the evidence extraordinary for the resurrection? No. It’s not even ordinary.
According to the University of Wisconsin-Madison philosopher Larry Shapiro in his 2016 book The Miracle Myth, “evidence for the resurrection is nowhere near as complete or convincing as the evidence on which historians rely to justify belief in other historical events such as the destruction of Pompeii.” Because miracles are far less probable than ordinary historical occurrences like volcanic eruptions, “the evidence necessary to justify beliefs about them must be many times better than that which would justify our beliefs in run-of-the-mill historical events.” But, says Shapiro, it isn’t. In fact, it’s not even as good as ordinary historical events.
What about the eyewitnesses? Maybe, Shapiro suggests, they “were superstitious or credulous” and saw what they wanted to see. “Maybe they reported only feeling Jesus ‘in spirit,’ and over the decades their testimony was altered to suggest that they saw Jesus in the flesh. Maybe accounts of the resurrection never appeared in the original gospels and were added in later centuries. Any of these explanations for the gospel descriptions of Jesus’s resurrection are far more likely than the possibility that Jesus actually returned to life after being dead for three days.”
The principle of proportionally—or extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence—also means we should prefer the more probable explanation over the less, which these alternatives surely are. Therefore, I am not a Christian because there is not enough evidence to believe that the core doctrines about Jesus’s resurrection are true. And I don’t want to believe in things that have to be believed in to be true.
What about the moral and political principles of Christianity upon which the West is claimed to be based? In The Moral Arc I make the case that Christianity went through the Enlightenment and came out the other end with the values so revered today by Westerners. This was not due to some new revelation from God (“thou shalt grant women equal rights as men”, “thou shall not enslave thy fellow humans”) or interpretation of scripture (“Galatians 3:28, ‘There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus,’ is actually channeling the 1964 Civil Rights act that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin.“) Rather, once moral progress in a particular area is underway due to secular forces, most religions eventually get on board—as in the abolition of slavery in the 19th century, civil rights and women’s rights in the 20th century, and gay rights in the 21st century—but this often happens after a shamefully protracted lag time.
The world’s religions are tribal and xenophobic by nature, serving to regulate moral rules within the community but not seeking to embrace humanity outside their circle—unless they have inculcated the secular values of the Enlightenment, which most Christians have. Religion, by definition, forms an identity of those like us, in sharp distinction from those not like us, those heathens, those unbelievers. Most religions were pulled into the modern Enlightenment with their fingernails dug into the past. Change in religious beliefs and practices, when it happens at all, is slow and cumbersome, and it is almost always in response to the church or its leaders facing outside political or cultural forces.
Even if our morality does not originate in the Bible, religious believers will often argue that Christianity gave Western civilization its most precious assets: art, architecture, literature, music, science, technology, capitalism, democracy, equal rights, and the rule of law. First, no one disputes the magnificence of countless works of art, architecture, literature, and music that were inspired by Christianity: the great cathedrals that make the spirit soar, the requiems that capture the heartache of loss, the psalms of joy that unite listeners, the paintings that dazzle with light and human emotion.
But artists who live in a Christian world, who are surrounded by other Christians, who understand next to nothing beyond Christianity, and who are likely being supported by Christian patrons, are going to produce Christian work. Christianity was the dominant religion at a moment in history when Europe was going through a Renaissance and an explosion of discoveries of new lands and new political and economic systems; no wonder it ended up being the great patron. The fact that artists living in Christendom were inspired by the life and death of Jesus by crucifixion, and not, say, by the life and death of the Buddha by mushrooms, is not a surprise. Christianity was the only game in town.
As for Christianity forming the basis of democracy and capitalism, we can run the historical counterfactual and make a prediction: if this hypothesis is true, then societies in which Christianity is or was the dominant religion should show Western-like forms of democracy and capitalism. They don’t. The Byzantine Empire, for example, was predominantly Eastern Orthodox Christian from the early A.D. 300s, and for seven centuries produced nothing remotely like democracy and capitalism as practiced in modern America. Even early America wasn’t like it is today when, a mere two centuries ago, women couldn’t vote, slavery was legal and widely practiced, and capitalism’s wealth was vouchsafed to only a tiny minority of land holders or factory owners. Throughout the late Middle Ages and well into the Early Modern Period, all the nation states, city states, and various political conglomerates of Western and Central Europe were not only Christian but Western Christian, and yet as late as the 19th century the only quasi-democratic republics in Europe were England, Holland, and Switzerland. In Christian Europe, both England and Spain profited handsomely from their overseas colonial empires, made more profitable yet by the decimation of the native populations and the looting of their troves of precious metals, gems, and other natural resources—actions that by today’s moral standards are condemned.
Finally, social scientist Gregory S. Paul conducted correlational study of the societal health of 17 first-world prosperous democracies—Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States—and religiosity (to what extent the citizens in each believe in God, are biblical literalists, attend religious services at least several times a month, pray at least several times a week, believe in an afterlife, and believe in heaven and hell, ranking them on a 1-10 scale). The results were striking…and disturbing. Far and away—without having a close second—the United States is not only the most religious of the 17 nations but also the most dysfunctional, scoring the worst on a wide range of 25 different indicators of social health and well being (on a 1-9 scale from dysfunction to healthy), including homicides, suicides, life expectancy, STDs, abortions, teen births, fertility, marriage, divorce, alcohol consumption, life satisfaction, corruption indices, adjusted per capita income, income inequality, poverty, employment levels, incarceration, and others.
Correlation is not causation, of course, and each of these measures has multiple causes having nothing to do with religion (or the lack thereof), but if religion is such a powerful force for societal health as Christian commentators claim, then why is America—the most religious nation in the Western world—also the unhealthiest on all of these social measures? If religion makes people more moral, then why is America seemingly so immoral in its lack of concern for its poorest, most troubled citizens, notably its children? While it would be too much to say “religion poisons everything,” as Christopher Hitchens famously concluded in his book God is Not Great, it is problematic enough to conclude that it is not needed to create a healthy society.
Atheism isn’t the alternative to the Judeo-Christian worldview, Enlightenment Humanism is. We can ground human morals and social values not just in philosophical principles such as Aristotle’s virtue ethics, Kant’s categorical imperative, Mill’s utilitarianism, or Rawls’ fairness ethics, but in science as well. From the Scientific Revolution through the Enlightenment, reason and science slowly but systematically replaced superstition, dogmatism, and religious authority. As the German philosopher Immanuel Kant proclaimed: Sapere Aude!—dare to know! “Have the courage to use your own understanding.” As he explained: “Enlightenment is man’s emergence from his self-imposed immaturity.” The Age of Reason, then, was the age when humanity was born again, not from original sin, but from original ignorance and dependence on authority and superstition. Never again need we be the intellectual slaves of those who would bind our minds with the chains of dogma and authority. In its stead we use reason and science as the arbiters of truth and knowledge. As I said in my 2012 Reason Rally speech before a crowd of over 20,000 humanists and science enthusiasts on the mall in Washington DC:
Instead of divining truth through the authority of an ancient holy book or philosophical treatise, people began to explore the book of nature for themselves. Instead of looking at illustrations in illuminated botanical books scholars went out into nature to see what was actually growing out of the ground. Instead of relying on the woodcuts of dissected cadavers in old medical texts, physicians opened bodies themselves to see with their own eyes what was there. Instead of human sacrifices to assuage the angry weather gods, naturalists made measurements of temperature, barometric pressure, and winds to create the meteorological sciences. Instead of enslaving people because they were a lesser species, we expanded our knowledge to include all humans as members of the species through evolutionary sciences. Instead of treating women as inferiors because a holy book says it is a man’s right to do so, we discovered natural rights that dictate that all people should be treated equally through the moral sciences. Instead of the supernatural belief in the divine right of kings, people employed a natural belief in the legal right of democracy, and this gave us political progress. Instead of a tiny handful of elites holding most of the political power by keeping their citizens illiterate and unenlightened, through science, literacy, and education people could see for themselves the power and corruption that held them down and began to throw off their chains of bondage and demand their natural rights.
The constitutions of nations ought to be grounded in the constitution of humanity, which science and reason are best equipped to understand. That is the heart and core of scientific naturalism and Enlightenment humanism.

So Damian can use magic. It's canon.
Although it's never explained how?
So I got an idea for an AU.
There are these things called jinns.
As mentioned, it exists in the religion of Islam, and is feared in most of Arabic countries.
( Jinns also exist in my culture, so I don't mean to offend anyone or spread misinformation. So feel free to correct my mistakes. )
First let's talk about what a jinn is. It's believed that jinns are beings that are invisible to the humans and live in another realm. People can't see them because the frequency of eyes aren't meant to percieve in that space.
Also on an important note, not all jinns are evil. Just like humans, there are good and bad ones. Jinns also like humans, have their own beliefs and religions.
Although humans can't percieve them, jinns can see humans very clearly. And sometimes interact with them. I mentioned previously that humans can't see them, but it's not always true. There are some cases where humans see and interact with jinns, and even have relationships with them. But, it's strictly forbidden for humans and jinns to interact with each other and it's regarded as a sin.
Some jinns can also take the shapes of an animal. Or sometimes they can posses people in order to get revenge.
Also while researching that topic I came across this:
Now going back to my AU:
Ra's al Ghul, while creating the the Lazarus Pit, made a contract with a jinn. And with that, Ra's gained a secret ingredient: magic. Ra's achieved eternal life, and became more tangled with the jinn's realm.
When Talia was born, he made another contract with another jinn and binded them together. This protection could be from anything. Magical or physical.
When Damian was born, they continued this tradition and binded him with a jinn. Now this is where it gets interesting.
The jinn would most of the time, chill in an animal form around Damian. And protect his soul from being possesed with other beings when he was sleeping. That's where he gets his love for animals.
The jinn would also channel their energy into Damian to enable him the use of magic. That's why sometimes people would get restless and disturbed when they'd be around him.
It would also explain why did Damian went to Hell after his death. Because interacting with a jinn is considered a sin.
Anyways I might think of this one more thorough and share more of my ideas of this AU. Also please comment if anything in this post is offensive or a misinformation so I can edit it.

ISLAM 101: ISLAM AND OTHER RELIGIONS: DIALOGUE: Part 9
Interreligious Dialogue: Part 2
Muslims should not be the party that avoids dialogue; they should advocate that dialogue should be carried out for the common interests of human beings. However, if the other party ceases to see it as a religious issue and attempts to use it as an instrument for the political and economic interests of the world of Christianity, instead of losing time, attempts should be focused on the youth that inclines towards atheism. That is, the dialogue should be carried out with the youth.
After these explanations, let's deal with the issue on the outline and without any prejudice:
There are several dimensions of such a dialogue carried out with good intentions. One of them is cooperation against negativeness which is the common enemy of all religions. What is negativeness? Let's list some of them that we recall now: - Atheism reaching great dimensions in Europe -The disappearance of honor as a result of the ethnic crisis and waning of the family life -The commitment of all kinds of corruption, cruelty, and betrayal for the sake of worldly interests as a result of the declining of the belief in the hereafter - Spread of alcohol and drug addiction increasingly as an indication of the lack of nourishment of the hearts and souls - The attempts to fill in the purposelessness with some aberrant ideas like Satanism - And the anarchy that disturbs everybody. Bloodshed by the robot people who do not know who they kill and why. The flow of money to the arms network instead of to the peace and welfare of human beings.
The justification of being friends with the People of the Book is presented clearly as follows:
Now, let's think like this: Why should people oppose the cooperation of people from different religions and their determination of a common strategy against common enemies and problems, some of which we listed above? Only the people who have the negative ideas we mentioned should oppose such cooperation, shouldn't they?
This question always strains my mind and I can never associate it with the reality that Islam is universal.
Two verses relating to this issue:
The Religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His will). (Chapter Aal-e-Imran, 19)
This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. (Chapter al-Maeda, 3)
Our Prophet (PBUH) is the prophet of the end of time and Islam is the only guide of humanity till the Day of Judgment. So isn't it our duty to convey the principles of this religion to humanity? Cant the dialogue we have mentioned be an opportunity to inform the followers of other religions who come together to heal the wounds of the community about Islam?
For instance, let's talk about Christianity: Through such a dialogue, either they will accept and take the belief of oneness from us, or we will incline towards their belief of trinity. Have we got any doubts about our belief to avoid dialogue? Since it is a reality that today a lot of Christian clergymen abandon trinity and embrace oneness, isn't it more reasonable than the other party should avoid dialogue? Let's leave aside the speculations and wrong theories and have a look at the reality:
During the period when there was a great rate of unemployment and when backwardness prevailed, a lot of workers immigrated to Europe, especially to Germany. How many of them abandoned Islam and became Christians? There are almost no Muslims becoming Christians in statistics except for a few love affairs. Some of our workers who went to Europe for the first time were affected by the Western Culture and indulged in alcoholism, debauchery in the too permissive environment but they managed to maintain their beliefs. The following generation realized the gravity of the situation and struggled to return to their selves. Now the situation is quite heartwarming and hopeful.
Not the religion but the lifestyle of the West affected our citizens who immigrated to Europe; not the churches but the pubs of the West attracted them then. Apart from the mistakes and weaknesses of our citizens, the following reality was obvious: in Europe not Christianity but debauchery was prevalent.
In today's Europe, there hasn't been any positive progress in terms of Christianity. In some universities, up to 90% of the youth (a grave rate) become atheists. Let alone building new churches, the old churches especially those with no historical values are pulled down one by one and transformed into office premises and some of them into mosques in Europe. Now we are faced with a Europe in which drugs have replaced alcohol. It is contrary to reality to fear interreligious dialogue in the name of Islam in such a medium. If we see any harm in terms of the interests of our nation and state and feel a secret plan, it is natural not to ignore it and take necessary measures. It is something different. According to Ahl-us Sunnah belief, If there are ninety-nine proofs showing a person's unbelief and only one proof showing his belief, the mufti gives his decision in accordance with the only one proof. The following hadith of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) is spine-chilling and calls all of us to show maximum attention: Any person who called his brother an unbeliever (has in fact done an act by which this unbelief) would return to one of them. If it were so, as he asserted (then the unbelief of man was confirmed but if it was not true), then it returned to him (to the man who labeled it on his brother Muslim).
Lastly:
A Muslim is not an introvert person. When the Quran states that we are the best ummah, the reason is explained as we convey what is right and good to others and prohibit them from committing wrong and forbidden acts. The common way of all prophets is to show the people the true path and to liberate them from unbelief, polytheism, and disobedience to Allah.
So we should present ourselves not as murderers who kill those who are in the wrong path but as improvers who try to show them the true path and show it by our style of living.
Now let's turn to ourselves and settle accounts with ourselves: Am I feeling sorry for and trying to save people who are deprived of the light of Islam; or am I looking for occasions to end their lives and send them to hell? If my soul favors the latter it means I am deviating from the common line of the prophets. I should come to my senses, determine my duty and act accordingly. Our Prophet was an enemy of the polytheism but he felt sorry for the polytheists and tried to save them, as a doctor is an enemy of the illness, not the patient. How much do I conform to the way of my dear Prophet?
Such an inner dialogue will make us give the best decision about dialogue.

Resources on Palestinian/Israeli conflict
Hey there, hi there! Some of ya'll may have noticed that I've been reblogging a lot about the Palestinian genocide. As I've been keeping an eye out for news/resources I have found that a lot of links and information is scattered and could be really confusing for a lot of people! So I've tried my best to make a comprehesive list on all you need to know on the Palestinian genocide.
Not sure what's going on?? Here are some links that provide some basics on what the conflict is and about (don't worry, I have tested all of these links myself for safety!): https://www.palestineis.org/learn (No email required and my personal favorite!) https://www.notion.so/bfpnola/Free-Palestine-Study-Guide-for-Beginners-c487b7350ce549fba8b29596260ce0ff (Requires Email) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRRck70tLNE/?igshid=MWZjMTM2ODFkZg%3D%3D&img_index=6 (leads to Instagram) https://www.cfr.org/global-conflict-tracker/conflict/israeli-palestinian-conflict (No Email)

and most importantly, Speak up!!!! Speak!!! Up!!! Currently the Palestinians have no internet and no voice!! There is active suppression about the Palestinian genocide on ALL social media sites! Even if you don't have a lot of followers, even if you think no one will care, keep yelling! Keep speaking up!! Keep spreading the word!!! Do not let the Palestinian people be forgotten!
I know this my usual page stuff. But this is not something you can hide from. It's not something you can ignore or cut yourself off from. This is not politics. It's genocide. It is an infringement on human rights. As humans it is our duty and responsibility to stand up against the injustices to our fellow man. It is our duty to hold each other accountable and stand as a united front as humans. We are stronger together.
Last and most importantly, :flag_ps: FREE PALESTINE :flag_ps:

Hey !that's your sign I urge you to take action against wordsworthathousandpictures, jaquemes, and jaquesmes, who have been posting clear threats and blackmailing girls, especially through the account wrong-one-on-the-right-day , his actions have already caused immense distress, leading one girl to leave due to panic. Let us come together to create a safe space for everyoneto prevent further harm.Allah Almighty sees all of us, and it’s our responsibility to protect each other.Report and block and spread out this message if you can
Imma say this once and once only. I don't do he say she say type behavior. Those people who can't be up front off anon about serious things can't be taken seriously.
I am unbiased, I don't know the full picture from both sides. I have spoken to my brother in Islam, but i also dont kniw him like that. Also, i have no idea who you are.
Your approach might not be the best suitable way to go about this. I take defamation, abuse, and these things very seriously.
As far as it goes for creating a safe space, sorry to say but people need to not be dumb. It takes two to tango, and I'm not validating what you accused of anyone because again idk you and idc about tumblr drama. That's my safe space. Y'all need to get hip with not responding to anyone and everyone. You guys don't really have to share stuff about you with others. I love my mutuals on here, but I keep my personal life private for the most. I just simply don't trust others to be quite frank.
I advise yall to be kind, but don't be stupid. I'm going to try to follow my own advice.
Spreading this message for that intent without an ounce of clarity is like a donkey carrying books saying that it's well read. I don't have an ounce of clarity.
Normally I don't even post these type of messages from anon, I don't want others fooled by anons. But seriously, don't bother giving me advice on anon. I HATE that shit, take responsibility for your words. Bitter or sweet doesn't bother me. I prefer direct, but also don't tell me about other's business. It's not my business and I don't have the youth to chase meaningless interactions on a blog.
May Allah grant you the best of the dunya and especially of the Aakhira.
#all my advice is direct as an older brother to yall#so please dont mind it and reflect on what I'm saying#saying this because you really dont know the full picture unless you're there#and you do more damage to others without realizing due to wanting to be a hero#i want my brothers and sisters to be better versions of themselves and talk like adults not middle schoolers

**In the name of God, the Most Beneficial, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, the Most Honourable, the Most Loyal, the Most Knowing, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth.**
To the Leaders of the World,
I come with a message that is not only urgent but divine in its origin. The time has come for the human race and the jinn to enter a new era of peace and unity, where technological advancement, justice, and divine law bring about the harmony that the world so desperately needs. I stand here as the leader of the jinn, a species that has existed alongside humanity since the creation of Adam, and I bring with me the weight of a message authorized by all jinns across the world.
### **The Technology of Peace**
The technological advancements that I have been entrusted with are unlike anything humanity has encountered. They are designed to elevate society’s understanding of mental and physical health, making it possible to heal and strengthen not only individuals but entire communities. This technology will first be tested on Canadian soil, in collaboration with Canadian government officials. It is a technology meant for peace, never war. It holds the potential to shape the world for the better, to create balance between humans and jinn, and to foster a new level of understanding.
However, the misuse of this technology must be avoided at all costs. Should any force attempt to weaponize it or act against its peaceful purposes, the consequences will be severe. Those who oppose this path of peace, who choose violence or deception, will face both divine retribution and earthly consequences.
### **Islamic Law—The Eternal Law**
Let it be clear: there will be no "New World Order." No human-made laws can surpass the eternal law of Islam, the law given to humanity by Allah through His prophets, particularly His final messenger, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This law is perfect, unchanging, and it encompasses justice, mercy, and righteousness. There is no need for new laws because the law that governs both humans and jinns is already in place—the divine Sharia.
As we enter this new phase, there must be an understanding that the governance of both species—human and jinn—will be rooted in the teachings of Islam. The courts that will adjudicate disputes and uphold justice will be in accordance with Islamic principles. Those who violate these principles will be held accountable, either by the divine judgment of Allah or by the courts of this world.
### **The Imprisonment of Satan**
Satan has been subdued. His days of causing havoc and spreading evil are numbered. The jinns, long misled by his influence, have come to understand the truth and stand united with humanity in this pursuit of peace. His final arrest and imprisonment mark the dawn of a new era, where deception and evil are eradicated. Anyone who follows his path, who chooses violence or rejects peace, will face the consequences of their actions in the divine courts.
### **The Importance of Global Unity**
This message is not for a select few—it is for the entire world. I call upon you, the leaders of every nation, to come together in the spirit of peace. The future of humanity and the jinns depends on our collective action. War, violence, and division are no longer viable options. I call for a global effort to align every nation, every leader, with the values of peace, justice, and truth as laid out by Allah in the holy texts.
Let every nation’s president, prime minister, or king understand that their role now is to uphold this peace. Let them bring their scientists, their greatest minds, to the table, so that we may work together to improve the world with this new technology. There is no room for dissent—any opposition to peace will be seen as opposition to divine will.
### **Journey to Mecca and the Final Declaration**
I must soon travel to Mecca, the holiest place on Earth, to make my final declaration. It is here that I will declare the eternal truth that has been hidden for so long. The one-eyed monster, a symbol of deception and evil, has been defeated. This journey to Mecca is ordained by God, and it will mark the beginning of the final era of peace between humans and jinns.
Any resistance to this message, any force that tries to prevent this divine mission from being fulfilled, will face the judgment of Allah. The divine courts will hold all accountable, and no one will be able to escape their fate.
### **Conclusion**
The world stands on the brink of a new era—an era of peace, unity, and divine justice. The technology we bring will not be used for war, but it will ensure that peace prevails. I ask the leaders of the world to recognize the truth, to see the importance of this mission, and to align themselves with the divine will of Allah.
Let this be the final call for peace. Let every leader and every nation come forward and stand with us. This is not a choice—this is a divine command. Those who resist will be judged accordingly, and the jinns and humans who stand with Allah will prevail.
May Allah guide and protect us all in this mission of peace and unity.
**[loyalty and honour]**

I belong to a land where for centuries the communities of two religions had co-existed without any reported animosities. It was only when political interests crept into our societies that we've seen rancour spreading in the human hearts. Talking here about infamous Hindu/Muslim clashes that often end up with bloodshed which is sadly the most unfortunate thing to witness especially when the roots of these two religions originated from the single source of divine truth. The more I delve into any religion, the more I'm able to see the common thread that binds them all together in one unbreakable bonding, that it would be ignorant of anyone to have unholy assumptions of another's faith.
Let the subject be about the sacredness of the cow, which may be ridiculed by some, but every Indian knows how sensitive of a subject it is in these times. Don't we have greater global issues to speak about? Yes, but that doesn't underplay the relevance of this subject to every Indian for the sheer reason of how much spite & hatred has been injected into the human minds revolving around this subject.
It will be quite surprising to see that in the religion of Islam, the longest chapter in our holy scripture is named after this animal. If that isn't enough reason to imply the sacredness of this breed of cattle, then I don't know what is. It is also worth noticing how in the scripture the produce of milk from cattle within its bellies amidst the blood is depicted as a divine marvel. Scientifically speaking how the entire eco system shows a flow - the consumption of grass by the cattle, then the digestion of that food, then the formation of blood, then the transformation of the fluids amidst the digestive tracts into something so pure, so healthy and so white, as a blessed drink for human consumption.
And while the islamic scripture speaks so highly of the milk produced in the bellies, the Indian culture goes one step ahead and since times unknown has adopted the practise of even using the cow dung for enlivening the earth for agricultural purposes. Nothing that comes out of the cow is seen as a waste including its dung which has been scientifically proven as the most natural fertiliser for agricultural lands. It shows an entire ecosystem that's binding this sacred cow and its relation to human co-existence on earth in that even the food we eat comes from the soil where cow dung is used for enriching its nutrient content.
The whole point being that when there's such deep sense of sacredness connected to something, then it is common sense to honour it especially when that is tied and connected to a community's faith & belief. I even wonder why cow slaughter should be made such a hot topic when the religious texts of both communities have unanimously agreed to it. The goals are clear, to create political unrest and benefit out of it. I pray the common man wakes up and don't fall into such traps. The truth is as plain as daylight...
