LMAO SO, I FAILED TO ROB THE BRASS EMBASSY,

I decided that after the Shallows, Sam finally had a Motivation to do some Shadowy Tasks while he's trying to figure out what the HECK is up with the afterlife in the Neath, but uh, well!! For his trouble Samuel got branded with a hell letter that apparently glows through four layers of clothing for a while, which I'm choosing to interpret as the devilish equivalent of one of those shame signs you put on pets.

He got invited to tea by a friend directly after getting out of jail and the idea of him showing up and just studiously ignoring this glowing brand like "yes. hello im here. i will not be taking questions at this time." is entirely too amusing to me

#keese draws #oc art #oc #pmd #pokemon #pokemon mystery dungeon #pmd oc #these guys are inspired by my usual pokerogue team #oh also imagine a question mark after every he/him I have the trans woman beam pointed at all of them #these are just initial concepts for the actual characters themselves now that I’ve developed the world a lil bit #but yeah these 4 were childhood friends who wanted to be in an exploration team together but had to split up for years #tart and quart both had to move away and cart ended up leaving his hometown to try and become a real adventure a few months later #cart and bart remained in contact for a few years before cart got caught up in some crime circles #he was incredibly trusting when he was younger so he got taken advantage of and ended up digging himself a deeper hole in an attempt to be #manipulative back and eventually he got scared enough that he tried to reach out to a guild and acted as a spy for them in turn for them #eventually helping to clear his name and allowing him membership #there were parts of the deal that were unfair and kind of shady but he was desperate enough to pretend he didn’t notice #after he joined he started immediately putting out listings for new team members and he fully planned on being super picky #but when two of his childhood friends applied he was over the moon about it #and immediately accepted both of them #now quart also applied because he had recently ran away from his old life and was desperate to have a new one #and he missed his old friends deeply so when he saw one of them actually managed to start building the team they all wanted to make he was #quick to apply even if he was rusty as hell on normal non contest combat #cart didn’t recognize him at first and mostly only let him have a trial run because he thought it was funny that an eevee of all things was #applying for a high level exploration team and he fully planned on telling quart off immediately afterwards #this ofc made quart very upset and angry but he didn’t try to clairify who he was because he just assumed that time had made cart into an #asshole which isn’t wrong per say but quart didn’t realize cart didn’t recognize him #it was a rough trial expedition but cart found himself actually quite impressed with quart’s slight of paw skills and his impressive biting #speed so he decided to give quart a real chance instead of a mocking one #eventually quart laughs for the first time around him and that makes cart realize who he is and that makes him feel horrible

Will probably delete later but genuinely WHY do so many ppl hate uf papyrus. "He’s horrible and a bad brother and abusive >:(((" my guy. YOU made him that way

#always weirds me out when a really bad take becomes popular fanon and ppl treat it like it's an inherent universal take #happens to all characters I feel but it's esp frustrating when it's not just a bad take but just straight making a character a certain way #as a plot device. or to project ur own issues onto. at that point just. make an oc or smth. why mangle a character so severely. what is #the purpose #im not even going to TRY to pretend i have perfect ic flawless interps (I absolutely don't and know this)#but even w/ characters I have minimal interest in (like asgore for ex) it's important to me to at least *try* to keep them in line w/ their #og counterparts.#and you'd think. given how so many ppl infantilized Papyrus. that some of that would've bled thru into au counterparts #but nope. the fanon versions are practically just wholly different characters who just look similar and 'fill the same role' in their au #and it's honestly not like there's a shortage of other characters sans could have a toxic relationship with in uf #(bc let's be honest here that's 90% of the reason uf papyrus got characterized that way. for ppl to project onto and sympathize with sans)#I don't like having strong negative opinions on things and I especially don't like talking abt them publicly but idk if it's just weird #timing or smth I've seen so many bad takes the past couple weeks #to each their own and I'd never like. bash someone for having a diff take than me. Also idk what au I'm even crafting at this point but they own where the Dads are monsters. And Henry is a Harpy. I have a Harpy hierarchy/species guide I was making for my own use/OCS that helps categorize harpies based on like.....their heritage??

It's 3 tiers and it's Matriarch Harpies, Mother's Blood Harpies, and Mother's Tears Harpies. They're all based on certain depictions of harpies in media/myths, with Matriarch being the least human and Tears being the most human.

My OC Vali is a Matriarch harpy, and they're based on ancient green myths/"classic" harpies which tend to just be large bird months with a human's face and head. Mother's Blood Harpies are more human but still pretty large and birdlike, having human torsos and heads but still majorly Bird. Mother's Tears Harpies are like the modern day Harpy, with wings for arms and feathers/bird feet, but human torsos, legs, and heads, and they tend to be the smallest/most human sized.

Maybe I'll make a diagram someday but it's IRRELEVANT bc it's just A CONCEPT I MADE FOR OC NONSENSE. the point is I'm using is for Henry as a Harpy and I think he'd be a Blood or Tears Harpy because it mimicks his elf heritage. I think he'd be a Tears Harpy while Bearry would be Blood Harpy for the sake of it?

Henry would have a mostly human body but he's still pretty feathery. bird guy hes a bird #and i was debating to base him on an bird is particular......i was think a Heron tbh bc hes so Heron coded to me #other possible birds. Wood Grouse. Pheasant. Ruffed Grouse. or just straight up A Chicken. MOURNING DOVE HENRY? ANYONE?#bruceys au stuff
