hii selfshippers!! if your f/o has trauma or even ptsd, imagine comforting them after they've had a nightmare

they wake up or even jolt awake looking really distressed and panicked. you realize what happened and take some time to tell them that they're safe, and that nothing here can hurt them

it might take a while for them to be ready to go back to sleep, so you could spend that time getting them something warm to drink or holding them in your arms. maybe they want to vent a bit and tell you about their nightmare. this could be their first time opening up or maybe you already know all about what happened. maybe they don't even need to vent at all and your silent comfort is more than enough to make them feel better. either way, your f/o appreciates what you did so much and feels safest when they're with you :)
