Is there a reason why ryuu is so horrible lol? I was rlly excited about him getting out only to find out he’s the worst human being ever 😔

LOL SORRY there is a reason I've been agonizing over Ryuu for so long and it is 100% because he was always intended to be exactly Like This, and I knew that would be a wild tone change no matter how much I tried to sprinkle in little hints pointing towards it 😂

To answer this a little more seriously, there are effectively two reasons he's like this, the in-universe explanation and the writing explanation. In-universe will be properly revealed in a later arc, but the short/slightly spoiler-y summary is the Maki family household had some. Bad circumstances, let's say, that Sho and Ryuu experienced very differently while growing up, but both were very, very aware of each other's differing experiences.

The writing reason, meanwhile, is the fact that I kind of adore the trope "What you are in the dark" and other similar tropes, e.g. moments in which a character is put in the kind of circumstances designed to bring out their worst sides, and you get to see just what kind of person they are based on how they react to that. Ryuu is the dark for the other characters to react to.

I've already read the last chapter on the webtoon and left a comment, so I'm just here to tell you:

Man, you really made me love every member of the gang, except for Ryuu, who always seemed suspicious to me for giving Sho a scar, but I wanted to give him a chance for taking care of his brother as a teenage single father...

I've been disappointed by every member of the band for different reasons!

Especially Michi!!!

I expected the worst from Ryuu, and he managed to exceed my shitty expectations with even worse, but it still wasn't a surprise, what was a surprise was how every member of the gang, those who were currently Karin's friends, did NOTHING to protect Karin!

And Michi...

I admit that maybe I put him on a pedestal and got my hopes up for him, because he looks cute, his mother hen status, and his toxic yaoi thing with Ryuu lol; But in the end, he turned out to be HUMAN TRASH

Although my bets on the "toxic yaoi" with Ryuu have increased, because Ryuu definitely brings out the worst in Michi and knows he has emotional power over him, that Michi will always do anything for him even if it ruins his life or makes him worse, and Michi is basically a simp for Ryuu who makes himself worse to impress him (Victory for me? XD)

The worst part is that REI WAS FUCKING RIGHT ABOUT THE GANG!!!

(For the record, I understand why the others didn't help Karin, but it still hurts when your "friends" abandon you in harm way, they can still redeem themselves, but the damage has already been done)

Now that being said, I REALLY LOVED THE CHAPTER ☺️☺️☺️

I love the plot and character twists, and I just wish you had a Patreon so I could see early chapters lol

I'll wait patiently and devotedly for the next chapter, until Michi and Ryuu get what they deserve, and the gang apologizes to Karin

So I reached out to WEBTOON to find this out, and, no joke, I think it's in large part because I cussed Ryuu out and called him a cunt LMAO Apparently blackout boxes are not an acceptable form of censorship ahahahahaha 😂 orz

Anyway, I am working on editing the episode as a whole now just to make extra super duper certain everything falls within their guidelines for "Young Adult" rated comics, so it may take a little bit before it's back up! 🥲

Hi it's me again😋 so uhm I've been very curious about something ever since ive then rereading mbnssb like one billion times I always go across one episode where you did an doodle request and it was Ryu and Michi in an hot tub and I been super curious if we would ship Ryu and Michi? It's been on mind and I wanna know if it's legal or illegal 👉👈

I am personally a big believer of fandom having overall blanket permission to ship whatever they want, because shipping is the realm of the fans and does not require any author input or permission. With that said: You have so much of my permission to ship Michi and Ryuu. Please do not worry about me having any issues with you shipping Michi and Ryuu 😂

Ahahaha I was wondering when someone might ask about that! 😂 In my head, Maki's first kiss was with a girl who was told by his brother to go give him a smooch (Maki would have been either at the end of middle school or beginning of high school at the time, I think); and Kaito's was with a boy he went to the same afterschool cram school with (this would have been during middle school). I might make little bonus comics for this someday, but I haven't decided yet! 😂

How many people does each individual gang member love? (Including the Maki brothers)

Oh that is an INTERESTING question! 😂 I'm going to go with a fairly broad definition of "love," so it includes multiple types (platonic, romantic, familial, etc.), and who each of the characters' love aren't listed in any particular order, but I think I would say:

Sho—Kaito, Karin, Ryuu, his family (though it's complicated and details are still technically spoilers lol)

Itsuki—his family

Goto—his girlfriend, his older brother

Daiki—his parents

Michi—Sho, Ryuu (he would 100% be happy to also kill Ryuu though LMAO)

Ryuu—Sho
