Not too deep of a story, but @extra-standard-deviation requested a comic of Letho and Eskel and I of course HAD to include Lil'Bleater lskdjfsd During a battle, Letho spotted the goat and spent the entire fight protecting the baby.

Thank you so much Kestrel for being so patient and for indulging me in the wonderful world of Witcher~ As I finished this up I was reminded of how much I missed these two (especially Letho <3) It felt so good to draw these two again!

Thinking of Letho and how interesting it is that his primary motivation is, of all things, safety. For himself and also for the people he cares about. Regicide can demand as high a price tag as it likes but he didn't want power or glory or even wealth particularly - he wanted his home back. The kingslayers absolutely did not have to take Yennefer in and sure a sorceress (even a mad one) may be useful but also here is someone who needs our help and needs the safety we can provide. His desire for safety and home is such a fundamental part of his character that Emhyr knows that is exactly where he needs to put the pressure to make Letho do whatever he wants. And Letho knows he’s being played but he doesn't care because the restoration of safety and security for his family is the Only Thing he cares about.

CDPR devs really went "lets make a character who is terrifying to look at, ugly as all hell, morally grey to the extreme, maybe even outright sadistic at times and let's make his primary character motivation be home and let's give his design smile lines around the eyes" and I want to go to Warsaw and BITE THEM about it.

2023 Summary!

Went into making this figuring I'd have a lot more blank months - but I guess I managed to get at least one piece in most months despite the chaos this year was. I'll take it!

Started the year off decently strong but getting laid off really puts a kink in your ambition. Here's hoping next year is a bit smoother! 🐺💜 Big shout out to @midzilla and the entire @continentcakeshop for helping cheer on the little ambition I did manage to scrape together this year. ily all 💜

Headcanons for the Witcher story I'm currently working on

Vesemir: Has taken up gardening. Currently trying to bring the rose bushes on his property back to life.

Aiden: Owns a Maserati. Lives on espresso shots. Collects tiny figurines of animals.

Lambert: Borrows Aiden's Maserati (regularly). Spends a small fortune on Lego sets. Has the most expensive, stylish and impersonal flat.

Eskel: Right now recovering from the injury that gave him the scars as well as from serious heartbreak. Loves to end the day with hot chocolate.

Geralt: Chill big brother who holds everything together (don't tell Vesemir). (I'm still fleshing out a hobby for him.)

Letho: Does yoga. Listens to classical music. Loves white tea.

Gaetan: Listens to Industrial and Noise during training and Future Pop to calm himself down. Runs the Database at Headquarters. Loves Japanese food and learns Japanese (in secret).
