I've been picking mostly only the essential flirt options with lucanis in the romance so far (I've personally found the dynamic much more natural and mutual when you do that, more like forming a solid friendship slowly and inevitably becoming something else and less like you keep pushing on him and getting little back b/c he seemingly just gets overwhelmed and goes into freeze instead), and I think rye is a pretty hard person to read at the best of times even though he's been Down Real Bad from pretty early on and their chemistry as people is naturally really good. so the way the almost-kiss plays out in this playthrough feels a lot like it has the added layer of lucanis realizing that no but for sure rook is flirting and not just being kind or a good friend* it IS actually happening it's not just wishful/fearful thinking!!! and then uh. maybe going a bit too hard a bit too fast in all the excitement at that revelation haha

*in lucanis' defense he has seemingly literally never had a friend who wasn't his cousin-brother before, under those circumstances I suppose some confusion is extremely natural if not outright expected lmao

i mean he was somehow able to convince GMMTV to let him add bdsm practices. if he can't give us explicit versatility in sex, then im pretty sure no one else in that company can

but as i said i do understand the hesitancy and think it's completely warranted, however im feeling mildly optimistic about the heart killers for two main reasons:

if i don't remember wrong, only friends was still in the middle of the filming process while it started airing, which means that the editing was done along the way episode by episode. for the heart killers, however, they already wrapped up filming and now have 20 days to focus on editing at least a bunch of episodes before the show starts airing. this doesn't mean they can't do any last minute changes, but it does lower the chances of the story being altered along the way;

i do believe p'jojo learned his lesson with only friends. he tried so hard to please everyone, but the truth is that you can't, and i think that as a creator is important to be able to stay true to your vision. you always have to be ready to face criticism and be open to it, because there ARE times where you should actually listen to what your viewers are saying, but that can be a lesson to learn for the future, not something to apply to a work that's already halfway through, and i think p'jojo understood that in the end.

so yeah, im reining my hopes in while also being fairly excited and keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!!

If Danny and Ramona are already there, well, it's going to be the most violent and dramatic custody battle anyone in the fog has ever seen. The cat's pretty much out of the bag for Danny's little side hustle, but like fuck is Belle ever going to let him see or be around Ramona again. And sure, Danny's not the most involved father, but he doesn't like being told no. Who the fuck does she think she is? That's his child, too, she does not get to take that right away from him just being she's being pissy.

Especially when there's nothing stopping Danny from finally digging his knife into her lungs now.

My first match was against an Oni and he cut me off when I was running to unhook Kate so Kate hit struggle and I got hooked. This is the part where he tunnels Kate after she gets unhooked. Only he didn't. He also didn't tunnel me when I got unhooked. He went for Yui and Steve and eventually killed Kate and me and Yui and Steve.

I know DBD is known for being toxic and people are like "I'm not responsible for the other side's fun!" but some Killers do give a fuck. He saw Kate hit struggle and probably figured I was the only one trying to go for the unhook. He realized Steve hadn't been hooked all match and went for him instead of me when I was an easy down and a kill.

If you play Killer like that, you're appreciated. You're letting the Survivors stay in the match a bit longer and they do appreciate that. I defend tunneling when necessary but I'll never be like "Yeah, tunneling someone out at 5 gens is fine!" It sucks. Hard.

I know Killers who play nice or are considerate sometimes lose because of it. I know they get tbagged and told "gg ez". Don't let people like that ruin your mood. If you like playing chill and not being merciless - Survivors do appreciate you. Sometimes they can't say thank you because console. Or they're like me and are too shy to mention it...

Guilt

Sometimes, Peter feels guilty.

He knows he shouldn't, because the skipped lab days with Tony and missed dinners with May, and all the little lies and excuses he's told them to ease their worries, are really for the greater good - a fact he has been told time and time again by his superiors. But no matter how much he tells himself this, he can't stop feeling guilty about all of it.

As he bids May a hasty goodbye, throwing his backpack over his shoulder, that same guilt threatens to crush him once again. He almost wants to stay, to have dinner with his aunt like he had promised he would. But he can't.

He hopes he doesn't have a mission tomorrow night, so he can make it up to her.

He steps into the alley outside his apartment, where two men are waiting for him. They hand him a folder, he skims over the information, and he hands it back. They leave without another word.

He quickly climbs onto the roof and changes into the clothes he brought with him. The mask - the final piece of his uniform - slides over his mouth, and he finds the familiarity comforting. Unlike his Spider-Man mask, which always seems so suffocating, it covers just enough of his face to keep him anonymous. He prefers this mask, and wishes he could use it instead. But he can't, because it isn't Spider-Man's.

The mission is quick, far quicker than most. The file had included the likely locations of the target, and Peter finds the man right away. The target is in an unprotected building. All it takes is one shot from Peter's gun, and the man is dead. No one sees him leave the rooftop he took the shot from, and he makes it home without incident.

He changes back into his civilian clothing, tucking his uniform and weapons back into his bag, and goes into the apartment. May is waiting for him, and he rattles off some story of what he had done, the lies falling easily from his tongue. He tells her nothing of his mission.

He does have dinner with her that night, even though it's late. He has dinner with her the next night, too. He still doesn't feel like it quite makes up for his repeated absences, especially with how strained May's smile always looks.

He tries not to feel guilty about all of the lies and excuses he tells her. It's for the greater good, after all. Everyone he kills in Hydra's name deserves it, and their absence from this world makes the lives of everyone else better. But he knows May won't see it that way; not many people do.

Maybe someday, he can tell her the truth. But for now, he lies.

And despite knowing that what he's doing is what's best for her and everyone he cares about, he feels guilty about it all.
