A few years ago at a con I met an Enjolras cosplayer. When I went over to talk to him he was fully in character. He called me "citizen", shook my hand, thanked me for supporting the revolution and invited me to the next Amis meeting.

Considering the real Enjolras personally invited me to a meeting I think it is safe to say I am basically an official member.

happy daschon anniversary to all who celebrate, but more specifically, happy "welcome to night vale showing up and then being told that they would not be paid for their performance because the organizers had tried to crowdsource the funds from a bunch of teenagers singing les mis; the organizers left people waiting for two hours and then said night vale had walked without further explanation and only offered an extra hour in the ballpit in lieu of refunds leaving fans crying in the bathroom, and after cancelling the performance a bunch of night vale cosplayers did an impromptu panel instead while the actual night vale team booked out a room for the night and offered their extra couch to ND Stevenson (creator of lumberjanes and she-ra princesses of power) since ND had also not received payment or a room" anniversary

@amikoroyaiart did this awesome commission of my OC Lennie and my version of Ghost! I've wanted to commission her since I first came across her art over a year ago but it took me a while to save and just ahhhhhhh so worth it

Fun fact! The pants are uniform accurate. 141 is an international task force, and while Ghost and many of the rest of the team are SAS and wear black or navy fatigues, Lennie is an tArm (Irish Army) and wears that specific camo pattern! Their neon pink hair is definitely out of regulation, but no one dares call them on it.

Lennie is nonbinary and their full name and rank is Lieutenant Lennie Lynch. They're from Carrick-on-Shannon in Leitrim County of Ireland, and they're the 141's Chief Logistics & Supply Officer. Anything from toilet paper to ammo to fresh fruit to video games, it all goes through them. They have a ton of smuggler contacts in order to get supplies out to remote areas, and they use this network for information as well.

Basically Laswell's job, but more focused on keeping people alive via food and bandages and etc than keeping people alive via intel on the enemy.

Price met Lennie at the same time he met Nikolai. It was a joint an tArm and SAS operation where the two squads wound up trapped in a snowstorm with dwindling supplies, including much-needed medical supplies. Lennie asked for an hour with the sat phone, spent that time making threats and promises and calling in favors, and then Nikolai (the only pilot good enough and crazy enough) dropped off the supplies not too much later, which is how he and Price met. Then, a few years later, Price pulled Lennie for the Taskforce knowing their skills would be needed.

Lennie drinks far too many cups of coffee a day, barely sleeps, and spends the majority of their time in their dark office staring at computer screens. Their first date with Ghost was a joint nap on their office couch. Their best frenemy is @atohii 's OC Niko, the Chief Medical Officer, friend because they've made him weep tears of gratitude over the supplies he needs to keep everyone healthy, enemy because they've cut him off from energy drinks (the hypocrite) and gotten the entire rest of the base involved in it.

It's best assumed that Lennie knows everything and could be anywhere. They walk very quietly and often surprise people by slurping their coffee from right behind them. If they were an animal, they'd be a wild hare - the kind that surely speaks a thousand tongues and knows exactly how you die.

Ghost is still with Soap, and Soap is also with Niko, and sometimes Ghost and Niko are together as well, but romantically, Lennie's just with Ghost. We love a poly141.

This Ghost is based on TikTok cosplayer Kuromi (his account is tagged MDNI, please respect that) and Irish actor Fra Fee (because Les Mis is an old SpIn and my Ghost is Irish, his ggparents immigrated to Manchester during the Great Hunger). I don't have any specific scar or tattoo headcanons for Ghost, but I like Amiko's usual spread so I asked her to just use those, and I'm thrilled with how it came out!

Day 4: friends/halloween

vamoooooos estan disfasados como personajes de undertale!!! que viva 2016 ok uh Fox - alphys Creemos que a Fox le gustaría el tema de la moralidad que tiene Undertale, lo que sucedió entre monstruos y humanos, y más los experimentos entre los dos que hizo Alphys. Ver que un personaje que fue presentada por la historia como alguien nervioso y amable, aprender sus gustos, confiar en ella para que ayude en guiarte, ver que si te ayuda, y luego aprender que es capaz de someter a varios monstruos a estos experimentos de inyectarles determinación. Tenia sus razones, queria romper la barrera y mantener vivas las almas de los monstruos fuera de sus cuerpos, pero sigue siendo un acto bastante terrible lol. Creemos que estaría muy interesado Bonnie - sans Ok, si "jajaja, , sans undertale," esa es gran parte de la razon inicial para elegir sans. sans es EL personaje de Undertale. puedes vestirte de el sin saber mucho del juego es un poco más seguro que los otros personajes xq puedes decir que es ironico- ¡Pero creo que a Bonnie le gustaría el personaje! los chistes, la dinámica entre el y Papyrus. Creo que Bonnie se encariñaría con el desde el principio de su primera vez jugando Undertale, solo porque es un personaje divertido, tiene una dinamica divertida con su hermano, y luego, cuando lo encuentra en la sala del juicio, su mundo se pone al revés (¡¿al revés?!) otra vez un personaje que conocias de forma agradable, chistosa, y casual cambia. no de forma tan seria como los experimentos de alphys pero ahora vez que sans toma nota sobre lo que haces, y se acuerda de lo que intentas ocultar. Creo que por primera vez Bonnie tomaría una ruta neutral del juego y trataría de hacer save-scum, pero ver cómo cambia con esas decisiones le fascinaría. Chica - mettaton mettatoooon!! De nuevo, es un personaje divertido, tiene una faciasion con ser una estrella, tener atencion, y tiene toda una historia con lo que quiere hacer, y como se siente sobre compartir una pasion con un camiliar (nabstablook) . Creo que a Chica le gustaria todo como se mueve, su forma de ser, lo dramaico que es, la energia que tiene y por supuesto su musica. Todos los personajes de undertale son divertidos man que quieres que te diga lol... Creo que ella se identificaría con el, chica siendo una niña muy alegre e energetica, y vería cuán dividida esta/estaba el fandom con Mettaton, ya sea disfrutándolo o estando molesta con el y se identificaría aun más. Creo que la gente la trata de manera similar, viéndola como ruidosa y molesta la mayoría de las veces. Y lo de compartir una pasion con un familiar la recordaria a su relacion con Robin. (la hermana mayor que le dimos) o y chica es la unica que puede ponerse una peluca kjarfgb , nose ve su cabello y con fox y freddy si. #cosplayer Golden - nabstablook Un fantasma triste que le gusta hacer música, tiene talento, pero más que nada quiere poder tener una vida alejada, tranquila donde pueda vivir en paz... yeah. creo que golden tiene el mejor disfraz, me gusto es diseño pero no puse eseñar como funciona en este dibujo. tiene 2 formas... silly...

(No, non ho lavorato per Capcom! Mettiamolo in chiaro!) Anche se una delle mie amiche e colleghe di agenzia, si! Come Juuri 😍 Quest’anno ho fatto solo un giorno da business day per parlare di affari, sabato niente perché ero MORTA dal jet lag e dal viaggio e domenica mi son vestita da Manon perché mi piace, fine (sempre a far i francesi oh). Però chissà… Chissà 👀 Non mi dispiacerebbe visto che il 6 è l’unico titolo a cui sto giocando più degli altri dopo millenni! E mi piacerebbe fare cosplay con una persona che già conosco e so che gli piace il gioco!! Adoro i personaggi egocentrici come Karin (e si era capito) ma ho fatto Manon più per “sfida” pensando ci starci malissimo!! E invece mi ci vedo un sacco 😳 Comunque do un consiglio a chi vuole far diventare il cosplay un lavoro: Le bugie hanno le gambe corte e soprattutto i clienti (o potenziali clienti come aziende), lo notano e si vanno a informare. Per quanto si può dire su di me, ogni mio lavoro è registrato direttamente insieme all’immigrazione 😐. Dire che “non è vero” perché non si sa leggere il giapponese equivale a diffamazione e anche una denuncia. Persona avvisata mezza salvata 🙏🏻 Ve lo dico giusto per visto che molti fanno i furbi dicendo “ho lavorato al TGS” e poi hanno il pass da… Visitatori. Questa storia l’abbiamo già sentita, no? ….. Ecco. Non fatelo. Ci stanno gia alcuni italiani (ovviamente italiani) a puntare il dito sul “eh ma non eri sul palco della Bandai” (non pensate che son scema, conosco più gente di voi e vivo qua da dieci anni. Daje.) Ora vi spiego: I lavori vanno a titoli di contratto! Si, rimango sempre la cosplayer ufficiale di Tekken ma questo non vuole ne’ che son l’unica, ne’ che lavori solo per loro! Ho lavorato a tutti Tekken7 ma non so’ nulla dell’8 perché in 7-8 anni, i team di marketing cambiano e anche le mode. Una delle Xiayou è un’altra mia amica cosplayer quindi son solo felice quando qualche mia collega lavora al mio stesso titolo ✨(era un sacco patata e so quando gli piace Tekken perché abbiamo legato per quello). È proprio brutto vedere solo gente che rosica di continuo.. Divertitevi con il proprio cosplay qualche volta 🥲💦 Avevo dei lavori, non per vantarmi ma non avevo proprio cazzis. Mi sono fatta due settimane in Italia belle piene, atterrata e 6 ore dopo ero MakuhariMesse… MACHICHAPIULASBATTAH. Se ci sono novità, le scriverò 🙂!! Barricades invites fans and scholars to submit proposals for the convention’s fan track, which will form the programming of the con. Submissions could address any aspect of Les Mis and its adaptations, and take variety of forms, including but not limited to presentations, workshops or games. All programming takes place online.

On Iginio Straffi finally catering adult fans

English speaking fans are now discovering this, I guess after the recent New York Comicon panel.

I'm sorry but this has been going for over a year according to italian interviews and events. In fact, to be fair, he always knew about adult fans, he spoke about it in interviews regarding season 8.

He was just convinced they wouldn't be buying merch or watch the cartoon on TV, since auditel data shows that toddlers are the ones watching cartoons in Italy on TV (he's not wrong!). Adults watch stuff in streaming, so that's why he thought Netwinx was a good idea.

Until it wasn't. And then season 8 kind of flopped. Dolls got cancelled, the pandemic happened, merch sales dropped for many reasons. Solely catering to toddlers wasn't a good idea, nor was making something edgy that wasn't really Winx.

Then he had an epiphany or something.

For the 18th anniversary, he said

In 18 anni come sono cambiate le Winx? «Le prime serie avevano un target fra gli 8 e i 12 anni. Con il passare del tempo la crescente offerta di fiction ha attirato i bambini sopra ai dieci anni, relegando i cartoni ai più piccoli e costringendoci ad adattarci a un target 4-9 anni. Ma nella nuova serie a cartoni, che stiamo preparando, torneremo al target originario». We'll be back to the original target audience (8-12 years olds)

And then, in december 2022:

Il lato positivo è proprio quello che ora possiamo pensare di rimettere al centro il vero DNA delle Winx, fatto di magia, trasformazioni... Come ci chiedono anche i fan. Ho fatto un incontro al Milan Games Week & Cartoomics e c'erano migliaia di fan di tutto il mondo, anche per l'elezione del miglior cosplay. Sono rimasto commosso dalla testimonianza di tutte queste ventenni cresciute con le Winx che mi hanno riempito di lettere, dalle parole che mi hanno rivolto. 

Our man Iginio has been going to italian anime conventions, hugging adult fans, doing fans q&a (multiple times), signing autographs and taking photos with cosplayers, as early as late 2022. Telling in interviews how moving it was to see all these adults still into Winx despite everything, happy to see him and ask questions. Milan Games Week, Napoli Comicon, Rimini Comics, he's doing the whole Italy tour.
