Your character being named Rook immediately made my Far Cry 5 brain perk up lmao. But ok you can be human /elf/dwarf/qunari again like in Inquisition?? Yesssssss. AND six faction backgrounds?? I hope they have more than just flavour text and we get even a wee bit of origins gameplay but idk. There are so many character ideas swirling around in my head. I'm sooooo tempted to go Grey Warden but I want to do something new since obviously we got a Warden PC in Origins.

Imho the combat looks fire. I'm really happy with the wheel and how it's basically more like Mass Effect? Still sad you can only have two companions at once though 😭😭😭

And yeah Varric is totally dying right? Which tbh I am not mad about. I'm so tired of him and him being like the BioWare assigned best friend when I've always had middling feelings about him at best. He's boring?! I think it would be such a cool intro to off him in some way (either by Solas who looks fucking dripped out might I add) or by those other... Gods?! Whatever or whoever the hell Solas pulled through?!

Also what the frick is going on with Meredith because the animated series sure made it seem like she was gonna be a problem in this game but no signs so far?

Indie Animations I Recommend

Haven’t posted in a while since, as I have said, my Apple Pencil broke and I haven’t been able to work on commissions or that one hazbin hotel animation… which I was actually getting through for once. Also I have fallen into a Varian And The Seven Kingdoms obsession.

Anyhow I shall now take the chance to share a couple indie animations I’ve watched/been watching recently possibly with a brief note about what kind of audience would enjoy it (might not be accurate I dunno)

First and foremost The Epilogue Of Endings which released approximately 12 hours ago as of when I’m writing this. And just before I summarise anything I just want to praise this pilot for HOW AMAZING IT IS DESPITE ITS SMALL BUDGET! The animation is fantastic and I swear something about it makes me so happy. The art style is also amazing (in my opinion) and suits the character designs perfectly. I love the character designs, just saying, and the voice acting is superb. I think my favourite designs from it are Blu (because I mean the mask and metal arms are pretty damn cool) and the ————. I won’t say who they are because the reveal is too good to miss, but you might be able to guess who I’m talking about if you’ve watched it.

Now to say what happens. This takes place after the sun ya know, goes. I think I’m probably the most interested by what exactly is going on with Mole but I think my favourite character thus far is Blu. I suggest you go watch it, it’s very cool. I think if you like Indie animation in general then this is a good pic due to its indie feel (positive). Also would suggest to people who enjoy slightly creepy media (it’s not that creepy in my opinion but it does feature the downfall of humanity and what happens after the sun dies so it’s slightly unsettling, it masters that feeling).

We also have Dreamworld which also has a season 2, I’m just linking the first one though so just so you know you can find the second season on the channel. As said by the creator, it borrows certain tropes/aspects from analogue horror and has animatronics. As it says up there it is a sci-fi horror series that is intended to be accessible to younger fans of the genre. Again, I love the story and the character designs. So far, my favourite character and character design belongs to THE Star Light. I’m starting to see a theme with me liking sun/moon/star themed animatronics. I mean this guy has a BOW TIE and a charming smile. If I wasn’t already dressing up as Varian for Halloween then I think I would’ve looked into trying to dress as Star Light.

The pilot hasn’t released but the animation from this teaser is SO GOOD! I’m excited to see the pilot. There’s also been music/songs released by them, I can’t remember if I’ve gotten around to listening to any but I fully intend on doing so.

I’m sorry but how is the animation this good with only one person animating it (I might’ve gotten that wrong). I find the character designs really cool and the art style is fun. They’re in space. The voice acting is good. Also just gonna say, they have merch.

This is Dungeon Flippers, a fantasy real-estate cartoon following Maulie, a manticore. (I copied and shortened down the description of the YouTube channel)

The animation is great and the voice acting is really good. The story is interesting and The Ace Of Wands Theme is a joy to listen to every time.

I don’t know how to describe the plot but lemme just… the animation deserves praise, it suits the vibe of the pilot and the character designs are amazing. Voice acting is also fun and I’d recommend this even if it’s just sea side/coast vibes you’re looking for.

This one is a YouTube channel that posts OC animatics and has posted Sundrop and Moondrop animations, just saying I think they drew the Sun and Moon Q&A comics soooo that was my introduction to their work.

Just watch this and you will see some PEAK animation.

And this is where we have the indie animated stuff (I consider it that at least) centred around pre-existing shows.

I myself am looking forward to making my own indie animated stuff or comics (I haven’t really decided, I’m just working on different characters whilst also writing fanfics and drawing fan comics and other art stuff on top of art homework. YAY

It’s for an OC, but with their old design. The new design has a satchel, otherwise nothing changed to be honest. I also have done another animation which was far more rough but it was me animating whilst seeing who would win the election so it’s political and not about any of my ocs or any actual characters. As I said, I already have another animation in the works for Alastor so I have to wait till my Apple Pencil gets fixed or replaced to continue working on it.

first off: the white hair

i’ll be dead honest, the inspo for the white hair was bc of tyler, the creator 😭 specifically his song Thought I Was Dead help

Now, the reason of the almost full head of hair, is all because of his use of the Entity’s powers. His magic formed due to the Entity’s hunger for agony and suffering. With Actor’s intense emotions boiling inside of his body, it allows the Entity to feed and feed, and in return, Mark harnesses its power.

However, each time Actor uses those abilities, his hair strands shift from black to white, as if losing him. Just like he lost himself when his heart still beat.

those were the primary points where Mark where he had aimed to kill himself first, going for spots he knew would kill him quickly (or they were from a time of utter despairs, like the scars on his arms and legs)

the Entity knew this, and when finally was allowed into his body, set a permanent reminder of what he did, and that he cannot die, even if he tried. Mocking him in a way.

really, i was just having fun with the outfit, but to add character to it, i decided that everything you see with words? Those were possessions of his old friends. After he lost himself, lost his friends, lost the love of his life, lost his own life, he wanted to cling onto the last few things he had of humanity.

Headcanons: Jean, Lisa, Ninguang, and Ganyu Reacting to Reader Being a Veteran Military Soldier

You were calmly sipping tea and having snacks, relaxing with the character at your palace, talking about random conversations that come and go over the time.

This brought the conversation where you mention your experiences of being apart of the Military for a while before retiring due to the many scars you had over several many combat incidents.

This is how they'll react.

To hear that the Almighty Creator has been through so many battle experience and gaining so many scars, she wished she could've been there to assist you.

She is very much curious as what you've been through, but she doesn't push—she simply wants to make sure you are okay before diving into that topic.

"Your Grace, are you alright? Are your scars hurting you in any way?" She wants to make sure you aren't in any pain of sorts, and will fuss over you and get Barbara to check on you before you somehow find a way to reject this help.

Consider it her way of paying you back for letting her enjoy a cup of tea with you and a good conversation to know you better.

Lisa

Lisa, my oh my...This librarian will be ever so curious on your past battle experiences during this tea session, now that you mentioned it. Of course—she won't push you to explain. She doesn't want to make you upset, nor be struck down for giving the Almighty Creator trauma flashbacks of any sorts.

"Your Grace, if you allow me to indulge myself, may I ask of what kind of battle experiences you've been through? Feel free, of course, to continue to a different topic if I ever seem to be pushing any boundaries." Lisa is a good listener, she'll hear you out, word for word.

And, of course, she sticks to her word. If her questions ever seem to be too much, switch the subject and Lisa will hop onto the new one! After all, your tea is ever so lovely~

Ningguang

First of all, the fact that the Creator is inviting her to have tea and enjoy conversation with them in the first place? She already feels spoiled.

This is probably even better than becoming Tianquan or building her Jade Chamber/Palace.

Ningguang is rather surprised to hear that you've been to battle before. She'll be even more surprised once she digests the information that you've been to several battles. And gained battle scars through those experiences.

Of course, her face doesn't show any of this, but she's pretty impressed and awed. She's trying to imagine it: The Almighty Creator, fighting the front lines, destroying the enemies that dare to face them, etc.

"Your Grace, if I be bold to ask, but what kind of battles have you been in?" As she listens to you talk about some of your battle experience, Ningguang can now understand why people gawk at her and the Jade Chamber as/once they listen to the stories regarding it. Your stories, were very captivating and fed all sorts of scenarios in her imagination.

If you grant her the permission, Ningguang will personally start having storytellers tell the tales of the fierce and Almighty Creator facing threats in battle, for all of Liyue to gain a even deeper respect for you.

Ganyu

To be even in the presence of the Almighty Creator, she already feels super blessed. To hear that the creator has been through battles? Ganyu couldn't help but worry.

She knew that some scars, whether mental or physical, could case pain. So, naturally, she has to ask whether if you're okay or not.

"Uhm, Your Grace, forgive my intrusion, but are your scars harming you in any way?" As a veteran of the Archon War, she knows a thing or two about how people hide their scars, playing off their pain as if it were just an annoying pest. Ganyu wants to make sure you're okay and at top, peak condition!

Teyvat has already lost its Almighty Creator once, and she refuses to see you in pain after your re-descension!

Be prepared to take this task very seriously, because boy, if you are facing anything she finds unhealthy, you are being coaxed and voluntold into therapy.

Thoughts on My Adventures with Superman S2 FINALE

This has me kinda scared because Normally when this happens, it usually means 2 thing's; 1 this is either going to be Very long episode or 2, Somebody's going to die, and with the way the creator's have been teasing us with Tweets about Kara's demise, I'm guessing it's the ladder, and if that's the case WTF DC

Also if had a nickel for everytime that a Giant spaceship threatened to Destroy Earth as a way to Rebuild krypton in a Superman story, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't alot, but it's weird that it's happened twice

So lemme get this straight, this Lex is smart enough to build the parasite suit, have a fail safe for that, is able to frame Superman gaining Millions of followers and government access, infuse Kryptonite to Kryptonian built robots, but isn't smart enough to come up with a fail safe when said robots get hacked!?....yeah I call Bullshit

Uh oh scary Kara's back, Damn it Brainiac why you gotta be such a Bitch; Also it may be nothing, but the way those missiles were moving kinda reminded of the way Darksides Omega beams would move, which got me thinking about something; What if Kryptons technology is possibly made from Apocalypse

This shot is ABSOLUTELY Beautiful; from the colors, to the camera work, to even the Symbolism between him and the Sun, everything was just Screams Superman

Tbh out of all the anime tropes they've done this season, I gotta say Talk no jutsu the 1 was NOT expecting them pull, and ya know what, I'm actually kinda glad they did, because it just fits Superman's MO; Superman has always been represented for kindness not his strength, like even if you've done him dirty, he'll still always choose to help you because that's just who he is, hes the person who just wants to help, he'll carry the weight of the world on his shoulders, he's the person who will try to stop a threat with his words before having to result to violence, he's the Man of Steel not because of what he can do, but because of who he is and always will be, hence why this trope works perfectly for him, it's the Perfect representation of what he embodies, Compassion, That's what makes him Superman

Ok I have a few things regarding this scene, 1st off i Absolutely love my 2 star children, 2nd of all Kara don't throw him into the sun, that's how make Nuclear man 😂 3rd of all, in all honesty, I was not worried 1 bit when Kara got shot mainly for 2 reasons; 1 even tho she was clearly shot by Kryptonite, they were directly near the sun and if I remember correctly, the Sun is what gives them their power, granting them the abilities to heal from critical wounds as well as even more strength, and because 2, kryptonians have invulnerable skin meaning she won't burn up from the sun even if she falls into it, all in all touching scene but No stakes

Kara's lighting's, Kryptonite Saber, Clean animation, Super sayian references!? OMG this episode is AMAZINGGG!! Also Kara's lighting's Red!? Ngl but I SWEAR I thought it was gonna be yellow, not because it would only go good with her hair, but because it in my opinion, it just fits her better, plus we did see kinda of it Start to spark in her fight against Brainiac 2 episodes ago, and since Clark's is blue it would only just made sense for hers to be yellow, hopefully maybe it can like evolve in season 3 or something, don't get wrong I like the Red but in my opinion, it just feels like a missed opportunity, In other News

Eff yeah Brainiac's Dead! Be honest, how many of you actually thought kara was dead after that scene, because my heart immediately stopped after she passed out 😅

Also can we talk about how Amazing Kara's suit looks, like Omg this Has to be one of the best desings I've seen, I just love everything about it from the colors to the boots all the way to especially the Cape, like I just love how it looks like a scarf UwU

Fandom Etiquette

It has come to my attention that today's fandoms just keep turning toxic, getting created and ruined within a week, and the etiquette we used to follow like law is vanishing. More and more people, especially minors, are joining fandoms, and they don't know the etiquette or unofficial rules that we once went by.

These "rules" are merely what I have observed through the years.

1) Understand what a fandom is- A fandom is a SAFE SPACE where people can talk about a show/movie/game/book + characters within it that they like. It is a space where people can be free to make headcannons, self-inserts, ocs, memes, shit posts, create and share theories, create fanart and fanfics.

2)Respect - If you don't want something happening to you, then don't do it to others. More directly: don't hate on other people for their preferences of reading, writing, and characters they like. So if someone likes character A because of __ but you like character B, that doesn't give you the right of hating on the other person fit liking character A. If a person sets a boundary: "I won't write _ _ and _," then don't push them to write it.

3) Creators of a fandom (people who created the characters, movie, book etc that you like).- If they request something, respect it. "Please don't sexulize this character" so don't sexualize them. Do not force a creator into a fandom, don't be sending them fanart, graphic contents, threats to get a specific ship you want, etc. They are a person, treat them like one, if they want to be in the fandom and interact with it they will do it in their own time, don't force them.

4) 18+ spaces! 🔞- Now minors, I NEED you to understand this part. A person with 18+, 🔞 or MDNI (minors do not interact), don't interact ESSPECALLY if it's a group chat, discord, and/or rolepay. I emphasize this FOR YOUR SAFETY! As a minor, you can easily get groomed, no matter how safe it seems adult predators are there and will make you feel like they are the safest person to be around before they attack (I did an essay on this just a few months ago, trust me it's bad). Some people make an 18+ space because they fear a they cannot prevent a predator from going after minors who enter that space (predators will often be your friend before they attacked via grooming).

5) 18+ pt2- Many people create an 18+ space so they can talk about more adult related topics, or simply because they find it easier to talk to people their age when speaking about fandom related topics. Also it's weird being like 20 and agreeing with a 12 y/o that a character is hot, it's extremely uncomfortable for us adults when we realize we're having that conversation with a kid.

⚠️NEVER PRETEND TO BE 18+ IF YOU'RE UNDER 18 BECAUSE THEN THE ADULT YOU'RE TALKING TO WILL NOT REALIZE YOU'RE A MINOR, YALL TALK ABOUT ADULT CONTENT, MOM/DAD CATCHES YOU AND THEN THE INNOCENT ADULT GOES TO JAIL AND/OR BECOMES A REGISTERED CHILD PREDATOR!!⚠️

6) MDNI and 18+ tags!- These are warnings that a topic in a post is NOT CHILD FRIENDLY!! Also us adults can get in trouble if a child interacts with our 18+ content- a parent could see, report us, get us banned and possibly worse scenarios depending on the situation. Also adults don't want children reading 🌽, graphic violence etc.

I got maladaptive daydreaming, and while it may be boring in a fanfic, I find may daydreams much more entertaining when I have powers and a backstory that's fictional.

10) Pro-shipping- If you do this you're not welcome, and leave the fandom. ✨️ If you wanna read a story with multiple chapters you can find them on whattpad and Ao3. Ao3 is better at filtering out unwanted content and finding certain content you want. Tumblr fanfics are mostly oneshots, but multiple chapter stories do exist.✨️

16) Give support to authors writing multiple chapter stories bc those are hard af to make! Support via: Tumbler: reblog and comment. Ao3: kudos and comment. Whattpad: comment, and vote for it.

17) SUPPORT FANART ARTISTS! With Ai their motivation to create has weakened. Fancfictions and fanart are both vital in keeping fandoms alive, and artists are do much better at art than Ai. And we love the little comics the artists make, so give em some love

18) Cosplay- we all have to start somewhere and cosplay is expensive af. So support rather than critisize, and provide tips to help them (where to find affordable good materials, how to sew, good glues etc)

19) Writing is hard, some people like me are dyslexic and not everyone has English as their native language, ontop of that with grammarly (Ai based autocorrect) it's harder to notice mistakes and the autocorrect will also make incorrect corrections.

The Seer and the Singer

Disclaimer: While I consider the below theorizing to be pro-Gwyn, as well as pro-Elain, I do want to go ahead and note that this post discusses Gwyn being a lightsinger. There will be no ships discussed in the below text and I ask that ships be left out of any discussion surrounding this post. My goal here was to theorize about the characters, not the ships. If anything mentioned above might potentially bother you, please consider scrolling! kk now that that's out of the way lemme yap.

I’d like to discuss the potential implications of Gwyn being a lightsinger and how she might play a role in an Elain book. In particular, how she might use her powers to help amplify/summon/control Elain’s sight.

Let’s get into it!

The Lightsinger Theory

There’s been countless other creators who have complied amazing theories and metas on this, so I’ll only be touching on this briefly.

At current, I believe that Gwyn is most likely unaware of her powers or at least somewhat aware of her magic, but does not fully understand it due to the loss of any familial relations who could have taught her about them. Which is incredibly heartbreaking when you think about it.

Disclaimer: Regardless of the outcome, I do not think Gwyn will be evil. I repeat, I DO NOT THINK GWYN WILL BE EVIL.

Regardless if she knows or if she doesn't, I do think we will see Gwyn come to a better understanding of these powers in the background of the next books (similar to how I think we will see the continuation of Nesta's journey + the Valks just like we saw Feyre's pregnancy arc occur in the background of SF). I think this largely because I suspect that Nesta, and therefore her best friends in Gwyn and Emerie, will be present in an Elain book, regardless of the endgame, due to that fact that both sisters are Made, therefore connected to the forces of the Mother and the Cauldron. If you’re interested to hear my thoughts on how Elain specifically is connected to both entities you can read more here.

How will Gwyn come to learn of these powers and/or reveal them to her friends? I think we will see the narrative call back to what Nesta experienced upon hearing Gwyn's voice during the priestesses' 7pm ceremony + (potentially) the events of Azriel's bonus chapters. But there’s other creators who have talked way more in-depth about why, or why not, they think Gwyn could be a lightsinger so let’s move on to what I think that could mean for Gwyn’s role in an Elain-centric book!

Gwyn’s Voice - Pure and Clean, Becknoning Any Listener

Time and time again, we are shown within the text that Gwyn’s voice, in particular, her singing has… some atypical effect on the characters. Most notably Nesta and Azriel. Below are the complied moments where this is highlighted in ACOSF:

Across the hushed, cavernous space, it was easy to hear Gwyn’s soft singing as she flitted from table to table, looking at the piles of discarded books. Trying desperately to find the missing tome. The words of Gwyn’s merry song were in a language Nesta didn’t know, but for a heartbeat, Nesta allowed herself to listen—to savor the pure, sweet voice that rose and fell with sinuous ease. Gwyn’s hair seemed to glow brighter with her song, skin radiating a beckoning light. Drawing any listener in. But Merrill’s warning clanged through the beauty of Gwyn’s voice, and Nesta... - ACOSF, Chap.

Drawing any listener in. Beckoning. These words just feel... so intentional. And never before have we seen a character's voice described with such intentional language.

Nesta could only gape at the lovely melody, the voices from the front of the cavern leading it, lifting higher than the others. Gwyn sang, chin high, a faint glow seeming to radiate from her. The music was pure, ancient, by turns whispering and bold, one moment like a tendril of mist, the next like a gilded ray of light. It finished, and Merrill spoke about the Mother and the Cauldron and the land and sun and water...

I find the fact both the Mother and the Cauldron being mentioned here is very, very interesting Could the old language, these ancient whisperings, be the language of the Mother? Of the Cauldron? The soft murmurs of fate? I need to do a bit more reflecting on the priestess's connection to both entities, but, I do find it interesting that the Cauldron is mentioned here. The Cauldron that Made both Nesta and Elain.

Gwyn’s voice soared like a bird through the cavern as she started the third song with a solo, and Nesta closed her eyes, leaning into the music, shutting out one sense in order to luxuriate in the sound of her friend. Something beckoned in Gwyn’s song, in a way the others’ hadn’t. Like Gwyn was calling only to her, her voice full of sunshine and joy and unshakable determination. Nesta had never heard a voice like Gwyn’s—by turns trained and wild, as if there was so much sound fighting to break free of Gwyn that she couldn’t quite contain it all. As if the sound needed to be loose in the world.

Again, Gwyn's voice is described as beckoning. Her voice draws Nesta in a way that the other voices does not. Like Gwyn is calling to her. Like her voice is summoning Nesta, drawing her in, drawing her down.

Gwyn’s voice rose again, holding such a high note it was like a ray of pure light, piercing and summoning. Two other voices rolled in to join, pulsing around that repeated high note, the harp still strumming, voices whispering and flowing, lulling Nesta down, down, down into a pure, ancient place where no outside world existed, no time, nothing but the music in her bones, the stones at her feet, her side, overhead. The music took form behind Nesta’s eyes as the priestesses sang lyrics in languages so old, no one voiced them anymore. She saw what the song spoke of: mossy earth and golden sun, clear rivers and the deep shadows of an ancient forest. The harp strummed, and mountains rolled ahead, as if a veil had been cleared with the stroke of those strings, and she was flying toward it—toward a massive, mist-veiled mountain, the land barren save for moss and stones and a gray, stormy sea around it. The mountain itself held two peaks at its very top, and the stones jutting from its sides were carved in strange, ancient symbols, as old as the song itself.

Could this vision have been induced by the lyrics of the song? Perhaps. But within the narrative the author takes great care to highlight that it's Gwyn's voice that draws Nesta down, down, down... It's GWYN'S VOICE that evokes, summons, beckons this vision into Nesta's minds eye.

In particular, I find it really interesting that mossy earth and golden sun, two symbols that I feel are connected to Elain, are mentioned. As well as mist. Mist, which we learned in HOFAS, can be used to veil and shroud lands such as the Prison and Avallen, dampening it's natural power and purpose.

Another line I found to be very compelling, and the main reason I'm writing this blasted post, is that Nesta feels as if a "veil had been cleared". [Yes, this is in reference to the harp strings, but I still think it's important.]

Now on to Elain. How was her mind described? A misty veil. A void, a land of dreams, unclear and shrouded, with gates of iron covered by sleeping blooms.

So, if Gwyn's voice could do beckon a vision for Nesta.. imagine what her voice could do for a certain Seer.

A Voice to Lull You Down into the Void

Now, here's where I get into theory-mode. I think we will see Gwyn, with the encouragement of Nesta and Emerie, her found sisters, use her voice to help lull Elain down, down, down into a vision at a pivotal time in the story.

Perhaps when the Prison roars back to life in the same way we saw with Avallen? Or maybe when one of the sisters needs to see back through time to better understand the creation of the Starsword or the rule of Theia? Perhaps we see this play out in a desperate effort to save Elain’s kidnapped love (a post for another day) where she finds herself needing to peer through the world in search of him.

To me, I think this would make Gwyn being a lightsinger play into the “misunderstood murder faeries who are actually benevolent creatures” subversion SJM likes to write and has used with both Bryaxis and the Suriel. Because I do think that lightsingers, whether Gwyn is one or not, are just that: misunderstood creatures. Creatures and beings who can be used for good. Who can be empowered by their magic. Beings and entities who, like the Suriel, are just simply misunderstood.

Just picture it:

Gwyn leaving the Library because Nesta needs her help. Her voice. Her power of song. Arriving at the townhome to find Elain floating in a tub a la the mystics of Crescent City. She spreads her arms wide, eyes fluttering closed, and begins to sing. Maybe she knows the song. Maybe it just flows from her. But the words guide Elain down, down, down, through that murky realm, through the mists and the threads of time and fate, to the place she needs to be, to the time she needs to see.

I know at this point I’m diving into headcanon territory, but I think this could be an amazing twist on Gwyn being a lightsinger, and a chance for us to see more of her again in the next book. Because I do think we will see her again in the next book!

Also imagine how badass this skill would be for Gwyn as a Valkyrie. She could use her voice to induce visions while in the field or to lure the enemies to her and her squad. An ability like this could be invaluable for the Valkyries as a unit. One day I'll do a yap session on my theories for the future of the Valkyries and expand more on this, but for now, just imagine the badass potential with someone like a lightsinger in their ranks.

A Closing Word: The Valkyrie and the Seer

So, with that, I’ll close this post with this. I do not think Gwyn will just disappear from the narrative. Just like I don’t Nesta will. In fact, I think Nesta will be a key player in Elain’s book, and by extension, the Valkyries as well. At least in one way or another.

And gods would I love to see that.

Give me women working together. Give me women leaning on one another’s magic and strengths. Give me the Seer and the Singer!!

It was in super fancy, almost unintelligible writing, but you were able to get a gist of it all. "It says (F/N) ploose-oh-ney."

".. Eh? What did you say there?"

You shifted to face her properly, trying to make sense of the words signed on the bottom. "Ploose-oh-ney. That's what it looks like it says." Shiver asks to see the invite, and you hand it to her. She looks puzzled as she attempts to decrypt the fancy writing.

After a moment, she lets out an audible 'oh!' and hands the invitation back to you. "It says 'plus one'." You take the fancy letter back and put it close to your face. "Really?" It took you a while to see it.

"The fancy writing didn't help with that, to be honest." Shiver admitted. You looked up at her and set the invitation down in your lap. "Well, if we do ever go to that special event.."

You grinned from ear to ear and leaned on her. "I would love for you to be my ploose-oh-ney."

Shiver couldn't help but turn a bright inky red at the comment. Believe it or not, she gets flustered really easily. She hides behind her fan and begins to aggressively fan herself. "A-ah! Thank you, (N/N). Now, I, uh.. I think it'd be best if we kept searching just in case we find anything better!"

The Dana Terrace Vs Vivienne Medrano, The Great Debate of Two Female Creators

Hello Starry Knights, This is the lovely Kyoko Cane, The Brown Sugah Queen, & cosplayer who performs and visits numerous cons throughout, while making blogs/vlogs on animated media & entertainment.

as you know or are new to this page, I am an artist who also dedicated my fashion in drag, on all my platforms along my artwork & discussions (be it anime or Western) that can affect real-life even fandoms, with a variety of videos.

the title of the post is about The two proclaimed talked about animators, Dana Terrace & Vivienne Medrano, I'll be critiquing how these two women of animation tackle the industry. This will have strong opinions from recent interview videos I've watched.

1. The Different Artstyles That Made Us Love These Shows.

Vivis work (Helluva Boss & Hazbin Hotel)

Now We all know as fans & lovers of animation when we hear a series that's greenlit after viewing on a television screen, in a magazine, or sponsored in commercials, right? As for these two,

The first time I heard of VIVI's work was on a YouTube ad commercial in line & premiered for the pilot, I was fully captivated by its groundbreaking story, from hazbin hotel to the comedy in helluva boss, along with its ghoulish Beetlejuice-inspired art style.

(which I'm a sucker for the niche, indie projects & gothic horror.)

observing her sketchbook on YouTube, I was drawn in by the captivated humanoid shapes she sketches, along with her fluid & flowing style.

the worldbuilding version of heaven & hell drew me in, after watching hazbin hotel. The pilot had a lot to offer from its dreary horrific turns/obstacles from its character debut, story & distorted beauty that there was a lot to tune Into along my first episode of Helluva Boss,

Now we are gonna get down to lore storytelling and character growth.

(and im fully aware of how the fandom treats the rest of the main & supporting cast not letting them flesh out including the females, btw)

Vivi has so much to offer, after watching the latest episode of Helluva Boss and finishing Hazbin Hotel, I see she has the potential to make a good show on drama & sell it, however with her controversy coming through I feel she needs to learn on how to perceive herself online, so makes it hard for me not to hate her series, be it art and her work.

The owl House by Dana terrace

Now you all know by now, I am a full-on Owl House fan regardless of its show ending early, and my many critics on Dana Terrace drew me in with her macabre art and full-on passionate skeletal pieces after looking at her socials and sketchbook online, as a debut showrunner who made her great stance on lgbt representation she has cemented herself as an acclaimed cartoon creator.

However, she does have her flaws ever since rewatching the series, and a lot to learn about the business, after rewatching The Show and yes I have notes written to prove them,

To add I felt if alex Hirsch wasn't on the project, everyone wouldn't watch that show since yall want it to be the next GRAVITY FALLS,

I love the fandoms that discuss the errors of these creators cause it gives more insight on how to portray yourselves on in the real world, cause lemme tell you, it was all watered down I'm get to that in a minute

one problem i have with particularly since she's a good artist & creator is her depending on certain tropes to carry out her cast, cause some may be harmful, along tropes being flanderized & the writing of character being generic & stereotyped.

She needs work on being a better showrunner cause those skills need Cleaning up including writing certain characters on who gets the spotlight.

2. The Good, Great, Bad & Ugly in Fandom Discourse,

Vivis Work (Wow Yall can be Wow)

Vivienne Has made her mark in the YouTube market ever since making her pilot debut on Kesha video & hazbin hotel pilot,

I'm so glad for her contributions towards the indie market cementing her way to showing great representation in the general audience for an adult show, not to mmention disablity rep, yes an adult show and that's not without its controversy,

with her grand debate, I feel everyone took this woman's artwork turning it into something ugly, which is so uncool.

and I for one will not stand for the hate trains of now popular shows flip-flopping and then float back to it cause your series is acclaimed now, let's be real she deserves her crowns and laurels, Just keeping it real, regardless cause its a fire show

The fandom has shown their love of the show cause it knocked down so many doors in many ways, but let's be real the audience is now geared toward children cause we all know, this generation can be doing some crazy things, the way they all need to tone down the language, and let characters breath in the show

which I feel viv needs to work on the jokes. I get, it's an adult show which is concerning and it's a Gen Z world where people have access to computers 247, which contributes to all the nasty discourse and crass behavior not to mention,

fandom needs to calm down her fans when it comes down to her work and the way stoliz is perceived.l can be questionable, not to mention how the females are written which I do know the key word for this below.

cause i rarely do find the females are compelling, but yet to fleshed out like the rest of the male characters so misogynist comes into mind in this show and how it sells

there some moments it only aims to the infamous ship Stolitz (and doesn't let other characters breathe (this is a problem with the owl house which ill get to right now cause the pacing is wow smh)

THE OWL HOUSE FANDOM (GRRRR) lemme calm down

The owl house fandom i was on ride or die for lumity. however we all know how that ship got it start and built up cause they expected it to be this thing to say (F you to Disney) which is good cause disney had its comuppence howver, after the show ended

fans have become the most foulest ugliest & disrespectful fandom ever since the Steven Universe, Voltron and miraculous incidents,

its sad to see how these two franchises fell into the worse cases, the two creators may come across not caring of there fandom acts cause there's a saying

The captain always goes down with his ship MEANING

A captain should not have to sacrifice their life or crew, simply because the vessel they are in control of is in distress

There’s two fandoms such as Steven universe & voltron fell from grace into toxicity down below that are prime examples

The Owl House fandom has got to be some of the most entitled, uppity if not (racist) fans!

yall clearly have not listened to other fans or can't take criticism, yes the show did make very feminist undertones and the male characters didn't shine at all in their titular episodes or moments, which doesn't help at all.

Since Dana drew inspiration from Powerpuff Girls

(which comes on and the writers being all female, might have some damaging effects)

Cause its stifled the male characters in a way where there not as prominent or impactful,

The fandom has gone down to the point of no return, I mean,

its not that the Disney drama was too blame for the project, (to an extent) which I'm proud for the fandom for banding together on animation, but need to take off the lgbt glasses, cause boy the show's writing was pushed in favor of that.

Dana Terrace has the makings of doing good shows however when it comes down to an audience to kid she has some major damage control on how the fandom will come across,

i mean have we not learned from the Lilith and Camilla toxic issues, you can tell the show likes to demonize the adults which is unacceptable, and can damage storytelling and characters.

the truth i feel there needs to be proper staff on how to write POC, ethnic and cultural representation In the show, Amphibia, Molly mcgee, Haileys on it and other break-out shows did it better,

hell even Amphibia doing those cuisines food culture in Frogworld, can you imagine the boiling isles taking on Hispanic cuisine.

Which i felt could've hit a mark on luz home life and culture if written & fleshed out,

Like the staff didn't know how to write those topics, they've coulda gone so far with it but unfortunately fall flat in that area,, not to mention the fashion. UGH

ViVI WORKS ( i try not to make this quick but i can discuss more on comments be NICE)

Vivienne Medrano has good fashion and business sense

its important to have that cause having a Cloud Nine franchise coming from nothing can do wonders for how you are perceived as an artist,

The discourse has come due to her take on the controversy on platforms talking on her many harsh topics

(in my opinions she too needs to work on controlling scenarios & damage control that can affect her

first off, who are these guys? skipp (the blonde-ish happy one), stone (the skrunkly emo boi), and vinnie (the pirate gremlin) are three hobos who do whatever they can to survive on the streets. pickpocketing, other kinds of theivery, murder, and general mischief. anything goes! the world theyre in is old-timey (@zeddyzi, the creator, has described it as walking into an antique shop). it was originally a comic on webtoon/tumblr, and now its getting an animated pilot sometimes! isnt that cool!?

so, do you like hobo children? the found family trope? little guys? amazing, unique art? funny characters? ramshackle has all of that and more!! so much more!

He’s opening up portals that angle specifically to show when a character from an AU is staring straight ahead, making it seem as if they’re staring straight, at, you.

Making it look like they’re watching as you’re moaning and screaming out in pleasure, as you’re begging him to keep fucking you and to fill you with his cum till you’re about to burst.

“You’re so shameless. Look at you, getting watched by all these AUs and you’re too much of a mindless whore to even try and control yourself. It’s honestly pathetic.”

Is the type of stuff Ink would spit out with distain as he’s shoving your body into a new position, maybe one where your chest and face are shoved against the ground with your hips up in the air so that he’s able to get niiiiice and deep.

He’ll say something to the person and then look back down at your trembling moaning form beneath him with the biggest fucking grin as he grips your hair and whispers oh so casually words like: “Isn’t that right Y/n??” Or “Awhhh Y/n aren’t you gonna reply?? It’s simply rude to leave someone unanswered!”

As he’s making sure to angle each thrust to hit a spot that’s got you whimpering and whining like a bitch in heat.

making it to where you can’t get out the words in response and only heightening your humiliation as Ink keeps staring at you with that sadistic gleam in his eye and making sure that the other person is forced to stare at you and wait for a simple response.

Opinion Hour - Dick Grayson’s fursona; improved?

Hello readers, once again I have returned with another overview and review on the eldest Wayne son, Richard ‘Dick’ Grayson’s ( @notnotnightwing ) (see related articles), fursona design and characterization (see related posts).

As per my previous articles on the subject of the Wayne’s and their fursonas (see related posts), I will be giving my two cents on the matter as well as the professional opinion of my trusted colleague and expert in fursona design (see related articles), though they will remain anonymous.

On top of this I have instructed this journal, which I would like to thank for providing me a platform, to interview Mr. Grayson on his thought process behind this new redesign.

Given Mr. Graysons apparent frustration at the previous reviews of his anthropomorphic character (see related articles), this reporter sincerely hopes he has given ample thought to his new design.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at this (hopefully improved) fursona -

To begin, there are several changes from his earlier designs to note;

The inclusion of what appears to be top-surgery scars (see related articles) on the characters chest and a more defined under-coat (see related articles), aka the section of fur on the anthro’s stomach.

There also seems to be more piercings and general expression in these designs, something we commend Mr. Grayson for as his prior art lacked further emotion for the character.

This reporter also finds it prudent to note the change in style from his previous design, and how it helps further the characterization of the anthro, something akin to late 1990’s/early 2000’s emo and scene fashion (see related articles).

I was able to, once again, reach out to the fursona design and psychology (see related articles) expert to ask for their opinion on this new design. Here is what they had to say -

“Good development, [I] like the scars. Very 00’s skaterboy energy but in the best way possible. Can def see more personality in it now.

Main downside is just the 3 facial piercing things, they kinda make it look stuffy, ya know? 7.5/10”

This reporter is still inclined to agree, though I’d lean the ranking closer to an 8/10 for the inclusion of multiple angles and facial expressions.

As requested by the anonymous journalist, we sent our intern to interview Mr. Grayson on this fursona in order to get a better picture of who this anthro is. This is what he had to say -

“ Q: What is the characters age, name, and pronouns? ”

“ A: Cosmo, 28, he/him they/them. ”

“ Q: And what time period is he from? 90’s, 00’s, 10’s? ”

“ A: 2010’s I guess. ”

“ Q: Are the scars on his chest top-surgery scars or simply there for decoration? ”

“ A: Top Surgery ”

“ Q: Lastly, in what ways does Cosmo reflect you [Mr. Grayson]; their creator? ”

“ A: The trans stuff, duh, how they act..what they say and do. Well, did.

I try not to do any of that stuff anymore at least...And I do have some of the piercings that they have, and some that I haven't shown.

But yeah, some of the stuff that they do I did in the past. And how their mindset works. ”

We can only assume this is referencing the smoking habit and seeming self-deprecating view of himself that Cosmo holds.

When asked what he would like to say to the anonymous journalist who has been responsible for these past reviews, he responded as follows -

“ FUCK YOU COSMO IS PEAK ”

All in all we hope both Mr. Grayson and the public are satisfied with this, hopefully final, part in the story of the Wayne’s and their various fursona’s.

Okay this ask is over a YEAR old but I never saw it so sorry lol,, that being said my all time fav ships in order of when I got into them include:

Frank/Gerard of MCR: This was the first ship I genuinely got super feral and invested in and learned all the lore and history and spent hours reading smut of them every night in middle school. I think this is the only RPF ship I still interact with to this day because they're just too perfect idk in an alternate universe they're together forever.

Stiles/Derek from Teen Wolf: My first love in terms of fictional ship, this one is very cutesy and nostalgic for me bc of my age at the time of watching, also my first time feeling the agony and evil of unfulfiled queerbaiting because WHY did Derek have that twink thrown up against the wall like that if not...

Marcline/Princess bubblegum from AdvT: One of my very rare sweet and wholesome ships,, I can't even think of them sexually I just love them and they make me cry

Carl/Negan from TWD: It feels weird to include this for obvious reasons but at the time Negan appeared in the show I was the same age as carl and that whole storyline rewired my brain and heavily impacted my sexuality lmao so that's that. I was just a silly little fujo and Carl was my self insert ahaha I was crazy back then

Ramsay/Theon/Reek from GoT/ASOIAF: To this day this is THE ship for me. I have never been more into a ship than Thramsay it's ruined my life a bit. Their whole arc in season 3 with Ramsays growing obsession and Theon's transformation into reek made me realize that there is something wrong with my brain bcs I was NOT thinking normal thoughts about them. Theon is also one of my fav characters like ever he's so tragic and beautiful and do I relate to him and see him as a self insert a bit too much?? Who's to say. I also think this ship is so adaptable and amazing in so many different AUs and also explores and psyches of both characters amazingly blah blah blah I could go on for hours about this so I'll cut myself off now but I'm always down to gab about these characters, as a ship or just in general.

Jennifer/Needy from Jennifer's body: I don't have as much to say about them BUT their dynamic is so ajshsksksis childhood besties who grow to be very different people but still grow up to be attached at the hip is something I love very much. Also they way they're like obsessed with each other and lowkey want each other so bad but neither of them understand it so they just end up destroying each other instead???? Spectacular I'll take 14 more.

Billy/Steve from Stranger Things (+Tommy if ya nasty): This is another ship that's like beautiful and perfect to me I think they go together so well their tension in the show is crazy and they just look so good together??? I was a Billy devotee from the start and lemme tell y'all when season 3 hit the streets????? and Billy was getting physically and emotionally destroyed every single episdose???? Trust me I was feeling things. Also regarding Billy being canonically racist,,,I'm black and I kinda dgaf I think that was kinda a random choice by the creators, its not integral to the character and its easy to do away with in fic! Also Harringrove is in the running for my personal best ship names ever.

Billy/Stu from Scream: WAITER??? MORE REPRESSED GAYS CLINGING TO EACH OTHER FOR SURVIVAL IN A WORLD THAT DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THEM!!! I love how goofy and chaotic and dramatic and immature they are, ellos son toxicos but they need each other I think. Also the fact that an actual QUEER CODED THIS (gay director) theres so much subtext and little things between them so theres just a lot of explore.

For romantic tropes, I'll make this section a lil shorter because I'm already writing a novel here but I very much enjoy: Tragic/doomed/haunting the narrative characters, strong power dynamics, mutual obsession, obsessive/emotional villans, secret relationships, captive/captor, childhood friends to lovers, opposites attract, unrequited crushes/love, rebounds, and lastly whatever the FUCK Theon Greyjoy got going on.

I post updates on stuff I’m working on here sometimes, but most stuff you’ll see on this blog is for my machinima series, Lykaia. Every single character you see on my page (that I’ve made ofc) is from said series. Most cc I post on Kiricheu is stuff I’ve just made for the series also. I’ve played TS4 for years (since it came out actually. and the sims in general too. My first game was TS2) but since I’ve started my series creating it is the only way I play really.
