Lei Kung has always been one of my favorite Iron Fist characters, this incredible combination of strength and tenderness, an unmatched immortal warrior and a champion for the lost and abandoned, a guardian of tradition and a revolutionary willing to break a few rules to change K'un-Lun for the better, a passionate mentor to countless students who was nevertheless unable to mend his relationship with his biological child. It's amazing how much complexity was fit into a character with relatively few on-panel appearances.

He's always been a physically imposing guy, but I love the sheer weight and presence that Kaare Andrews gives him in Living Weapon. He is quite literally larger than life, filling every panel, mighty and noble and seemingly indestructible, which makes it extra impactful that this scene is the last time we see him alive.

Iron Fist #6 (Claremont/Byrne, Aug 1976). Danny finds a new use for his chi — overwhelming the deadly programming that pits Colleen against him! Meanwhile, his father’s lawyer finally catches up with Danny to bequeath a fortune. Danny’s rich now, because I guess that’s been working out for the other Iron superhero!

In other words, Buddha didn't mention the other monkeys because they were DEAD. This could loop back around to what @quitealotofsodapop said about Luzhen or MK being the thunder primate, one of them- probably Luzhen- is the reincarnation of Lei Kung.

As for Rin-rin, what if she was like a big sister to Wukong and her death is what set him on his quest for immortality in the first place? After all, losing someone you think will be there forever makes you think about what "forever" really means....

Hmm...*looks up which numbers are lucky in China*, okay, so 4 is actually unlucky, which is probs why the 4 Celestial Monkeys are also called the Monkeys of Destruction.

But the lucky numbers are 6 and 8, with 7 being a generally good number, but being also that the 7th Month is called the Ghost Month and it sounds close to 'to deceive'...hmmm...

Oh, and it sounds like a vulgar way of saying 'penis'.

Okay, so, Duke of Thunder, Long Armed Gibbon, Red Buttocked Horse Monkey, Intelligent Stone Monkey and Six Eared Macaque make 5.

Including our little Harbinger of Chaos, that makes 6, which is a lucky number.

But MK being the 7th Celestial Monkey would make it more fun - at least a part of me thinks so - so, who the hell could be the Sixth Monkey?

Wait...Wuxing has Earth and Wood be different elements...

Rin-Rin!

In Saiyuuki, she has similar eye markings to SWK - much like how Macaque has a similar one to SWK - which should mean, she is also a Celestial Monkey!

I once saw somebody headcanon that Rin-Rin is a flower monkey demon and her flower do give me Cosmo (a plant alien) from Sonic X vibes...that could work.

She's just chilling somewhere, never knew what she is and just exists, vibing along the way, not knowing all the bullshit that is going on, like:

Rin-Rin being that friend in the group who never got into any drama, and is still living their best life at home.

I even plan on her (at least a character based on her) still being alive/youthful in the TMKATI au, and the other monkeys are confused af. She's like the aunt/cousin in the monkey village who just... never aged?? They think maybe she ate a peach of immortality and didn't know about it.

Someone like Erlang (all seeing eye) peaks in and is like "Whoa. That monkey came *out* of a tree of immortality. Thats new. Wonder if anyone else knows about this... Best not say anything and cause a fuss."

Alright...sooo call me crazy but is it just me or Tigress has some connection with flowers a lot? And I mean A LOT!!

First let's start with Tigress's clothing. All her vests & hanfu with floral pattern which throughout the franchise represents her growth

But even before the the whole vine pattern we get to see the same pattern on Tigress's bed when she was still in Bao Gu Orphanage in Secrets of the Furious Five

Next in Secrets of the Scroll when Oogway is talking to Tigress at the Peach tree we see Oogway takes a look at a blossom & tells Tigress "The Question is; Can you be Tigress?" & the same flower flies near her

Next; Every time Tigress get's sick there's always a FLOWER involved to cure her. Now I know LoA isn't considered canon but there's one chapter in one of the KFP comics where the story is sorta similar to LoA's Scorpion Sting's episode where Tigress gets river fever. BOTH in the episode & in the comic there's a flower that's her medicine. Also coincidence in both cases Po (WHO'S BIRTH NAME IS ALSO LOTUS) is the one get's the flowers for her

Next in KFP3 while Po is trying to bloom a flower by using the chi technique the camera immediately zooms to injured Tigress with the flower also being in the shot & later Tigress wearing a flower garland & wearing a little flower on her ear just like Lei Lei.

And finally this is by far the most interesting one which got me screaming!

Viper, Po & Lei Lei ALL 3 who are close to Tigress also represents flowers in someway. Mostly in protective or comfort ways.

Viper as flower is her two little flower clips on her head.

Po who's birth name is LITTLE LOTUS!!

And FINALLY Lei Lei. Apparently Lei in Chinese means a bud of a flower!

I MEAN??? THIS CANNOT BE SOME WEIRD COINCIDENCE RIGHT?!?!? THERE HAS TO BE SOME REASON BEHIND IT??

I maybe overthinking but hey...at least I got all out from my chest. But seriously tho i'm sure there's a good explanation behind this flower connection!!

Hello Kung Fu Panda fandom, I've come with a proposition:

KFP 4 rewrite, and Lei Lei (now grown up), is Po's successor and she was training under Master Tigress' tutelage in between KFP 3 and 4, which will have a major time gap.

I have more stuff written down but it's not complete..... but I have mostly rewritten the major characters and their arcs, and in this rewrite Po is.... well, let's just say he's feeling a little burnt out with being the whole "protector of the valley" and stuff, and questions his stance a little.
