The fan buzz around DDBA says that The Plan is to position Fisk as the "Street-Level Thanos", and in Season 2, Matt's going to contact Jessica, Luke, and Danny (and hopefully Colleen and Misty) to re-form the Defenders to take him down.

Yes, I would love to see this, but I would also love to see him add Jennifer to that list.

Daredevil S1: “OMG, best Marvel show ever! I love this darker side of the MCU!”

Jessica Jones S1: “OMG, best Marvel show ever! I love this darker side of the MCU! Marvel does female representation right!”

Daredevil S2: “Punisher was amazing! Elektra and the Hand…eh.”

Luke Cage S1: (first half) “OMG, best Marvel show ever! I love this darker side of the MCU! Marvel does black representation right!” / (second half) “This show is corny and terrible. They did Mahershala Ali dirty.”

Iron Fist S1: “Wtf is this shit?”

The Defenders: “That was certainly a crossover. They did cross over. And things happened.”

The Punisher S1: “This is fine, but it’s tone deaf for Marvel to make this show when we need gun control now.”

Jessica Jones S2: “The story is all over the place. What’s even the focus here? What the heck is happening?”

Luke Cage S2: “I guess this is better than S1 but I still hate that Mahershala Ali got killed off so soon.”

Iron Fist S2: “Better than S1, but that’s not saying much. Also, I welcome our new Iron Fist, Colleen Wing.”

Daredevil S3: “They redeemed the Netflix Marvel shows! Hallelujah!”

The Punisher S2: “This feels rushed. Like there’s two seasons worth of story here.”

Is there a plot reason for this scene? Kind of... Not really... Is there a reason for this scene in the fact that it underlines the interwoven bonds that exist within the growing NYC superhero community in a way that feels grounded and real? Abso-goddamn-lutely.

[Iron Fist Aside(TM): Peter asking if Misty and Danny are still "...uh, y'know..." cracks me up because if he hasn't seen them since the fight with Steel Serpent, as Colleen says here, then the last time Peter saw Misty and Danny, they were making out.]

Idea for “The Defenders 2”:

1) Daredevil Born Again seasons 1 and 2 sets up the reign of Mayor Fisk. Mayor Fisk is the main villain of Defenders 2.

2) The Iron Fists - both Colleen Wing and Danny Rand - make their return in Shang-Chi 2. Maybe call the movie “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Iron Fist”.

3) Jessica Jones returns in Spider-Man 4 as J. Jonah Jameson’s lead investigator, albeit reluctantly. Wilson Fisk is the main villain once again, this time coming into direct conflict with Peter and Jessica.

4) The Punisher special coming out next year is this John Wick-esque chase sequence in which Frank is trying to get away from Fisk’s hit squad. So it’s straight up 30-40 minutes of Frank going crazy on Fisk’s goons while trying to get out of the city.

5) Luke Cage makes his return in Hawkeye season 2. Since his show ended, Luke has become a congressman representing Harlem (he also makes a joke that he’s friends with Congressman Bucky Barnes). Hawkeye season 2 has Clint and Kate deal with Wilson Fisk wanting revenge on them.

6) “The Defenders 2” is focused on the Defenders coming together to take down Mayor Fisk once and for all. In addition to the original line-up of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist (Danny Rand), the miniseries adds Shang-Chi, Iron Fist (Colleen Wing), Spiderman, The Punisher, and both Hawkeyes (Clint Barton and Kate Bishop).
