Someone on here said that Harvey would collect Lego and I posted a Lego plane model. But I found THE set he would have in his apartment and might be one of his prized possessions

And it's old so I can see this on the top shelf in his apartment with a thin layer of dust.

Hard to believe I built the V2 of this wonderful MOC by The Darth Designer, then ripped it apart to rebuild it as the V3, but I like the new look a lot more. I hope you all do as well!

20230203: today’s classic town rebuild was 6368: Jet Airliner with 126 pieces from 1985. this is a pretty standard airplane build for this time frame, with rotational landing gear in the front, a pilot seat, passenger area, and the luggage compartment. this set also had the unique red and black tail wedge, which was unique to this set.

France was only a one hour flight away from the US, and it was daylight savings so I couldn't sleep so I decided to fly to France until I was tired and then fly back.

The airport wasn't an airport it was just a little restaurant where they let planes land? And in the back there was a Lego reconstruction of the Statue of Liberty. While checking it out my mom called me to ask where I was and I was like, "Don't be mad but I'm in France," and she hung up on me.

While trying to take a selfie with Lego Liberty this French family found me and assumed I was a runaway based on how I was acting and they adopted me against my will? The dad said I was the daughter he wanted but never had even though he had like. Two daughters.

20230125: today’s rebuild is 6687: Turbo Prop-I from 1987 with 67 pieces. it’s always nostalgic to find the sets I had when I was younger and I haven’t seen the box for this set in decades, though I do still have my own original of this set packed nicely in my own collection. it’s a simple plane with two minifigures, propellers that spin, and wheels that turn. I like the color scheme and it really is just a cute little set :)

the lego movie is insane. you go into it thinking it'll be some cheap cashgrab kids movie make to sell overpriced plastic toys to kids. then you watch it and it's the most profound exploration of institutional control and totalitarian governments and neglect in relationships and repression of individual creativity and restricting parental authority you've ever seen. and then you see an ad for a cloud cuckoo land lego set and realise all that was to sell overpriced plastic toys to kids.
