This was supposed to be Mel's origin story. Basically, someone sneaked on to Flower Fruit mountain and gave 'em a magic melon fruit, and my boy had a rude awakening and was blasted with sapience Xdd

Yeah, I'm never finishing that I guess. It was remade once because I lost most files, and then I lost motivation as I was trying to figure out the background

But thought it was interesting, so I might as well show what I got from that

okay so I know I said I wouldn't do art again on this account except if I did but I lied because I was reading this fic and I was like "oh my god I want to draw swk ontop of a fridge." and I wanted to find a cool reference photo for that but I instead found this image and I was like oh?!?!?!? my god. so now swk has a fridge in my mind. not for food (he has hair for that) but for sitting in. it's pleasantly cold. it's a valid choice. why are you looking at him like that mk it's normal tons of people do it he's just the only one that admits it

Ok!!! Found a design l like, he went through so much that he got a nose lift and all of that glow up. I had to draw him naked so l can map out all of the detail l wanted to apply.

For example he's covered in sunspots and though you can't see the headband he those wear one to push back his curly hair. Also that the second slide is Macaque's skin color as his mask.

Since it's canon that wukong's peach color mask is the same colors as Macaque's skin tone.

I also used poodle fur as a reference for l can l draw his fur.
