Strange metal constructs roamed the floors, patrolling in what appeared to be set patterns. Hallownest's crystal extraction golems had become non-operational by the time Ghost arrived in the kingdom, but if anything, the behaviour brought to mind the repetitive movements of the bugs under the Infection's influence. Still, the machinery did not appear to pay Ghost any mind as they observed them from afar, so they ignored them in turn.

Eventually, their exploration brought them to the entrance of a much smaller tunnel. It was encased entirely in metal, and emitted a sound of blowing wind that Ghost hadn't noticed elsewhere in the area. A larger creature may have found the space cramped, but Ghost climbed into it with little issue. Good things often waited for them at the ends of hidden passageways like this, so they ventured further onward, using the light of their Lumafly Lantern to guide their way.

However, much like the burrows of Deepnest, this tunnel was not without its own dangers.
