It's honestly crazy that discussion around testosterone HRT skews so much towards the beginning stages of it (to the point that you have dozens of guys thinking their transition is "failed" if they don't pass by like a year in lol) and what the initial changes of the first couple of months to years look like, like the classic laundry list of those early basic changes like bottom growth, voice drop, etc, when IMO literally none of that compares remotely to the depth and intensity of the long term total masculinization you start to experience like 3-5+ years in.

the world is so fucked up and i can't help but think the damage is irreparable when i see people talking about how unusual and prudish it is to wait six to ten dates before having sex with someone. ten dates??? roughly like twenty five hours of interaction????? ten old timer burgers and mango iced teas from chilis equals sex?????? the possibility of pregnancy, STDs, emotional devastation, lifelong consequences, not to mention just straight up the possibility of getting murdered, with a STRANGER you have hung out with for maybe like two months???? and that's a LONG TIME???? and if you feel weird about that and don't want to do that that makes you NOT HETEROSEXUAL????? THATS AN ORIENTATION???? BECAUSE ITS SO OUTSIDE OF THE NORM OF HUMAN BEHAVIOR ????? i hate all of you i hate you i hate you i hate you every day i hate and I hate and I hate you

A headcanon i really like is that Odin started despising Loki more and more because he displayed a lot of the qualities he wished Thor would have had. Thor was supposed to be the wise king while Loki was supposed to be the naive puppet sitting on another realms throne, but Loki's intelligence was too great to let himself be controlled like that, thus destroying Odins plan without even knowing it.

Me when I remember Frank Zhang’s is a child of the god of war whose mother died in combat and thus his mothers death is tied to his existence, and he will spend the rest of his life deconstructing that guilt.
Frank didn’t kill his mother, but his father is the incitement of all war. A soldier does not become a soldier without being at least acquainted with war, and in many cases they will fall to it, much like Emily. I’d be surprised if, in some capacity, Frank didn’t see Mars as a murderer. Like he understands that, on a wide scale, Mars did not kill Emily Zhang. But Mars started the war that killed her. And since Mars is his father, I think he’d feel disgusted with that fact, even if he logically knows that that’s not the case.
And then I think about how out of all of the gods Frank assumed he was the child of, Mars was never in the question. I almost wonder if he kind of knew, but convinced himself it wasn’t true. I mean his mom was a soldier, there’s a logical connection with the war god there. But the idea that he was a product of what hurt him and his family so much was too painful to consider. So he swore himself to his unshaken kindness. If cruelty took his mom, he would do anything in his power to counter that.

i’m obsessed with the idea of cult leader!geto pining for a reader who just fucking hates him. i don’t know why just. maybe it’s someone from his past that he left behind when he defected, maybe they’re bitter and spiteful and all they do is hiss and bite but he’s so smitten. you can do no wrong in his eyes. he deserves the curses and anger, he knows, and he receives them with a smile and eyes full of hearts. he gets giddy when you scowl at him. he just thinks you’re love personified. he’s so gentle and patient that it’s infuriating because nothing you do or say will get him to bite back. it’s like you’re a kitten gnawing at his fist but he does nothing but coo at you even when you draw blood

I've been following you for years, and I love your art. Seeing you repost your older art pieces reminded me how much I loved the angry, bitter, miserable Machete art and how it resonated with me... but a part of me is also so happy to see the current art of him being happy. Cute art of him as a unicorn, or chilling in a bathtub with Vasco. Like, we're all growing and healing :')

On the one hand, I do think Hob, as a greedy human, would of course want to know everything he could about his stranger. That said, I think Hob, as a greedy human, would be so understanding of Dream's reticence.
Hob is immortal, and he's had to deal with the ways human's view the "unnatural". He was drowned as a witch for not being careful enough to hide what he is. He knows he can't be open about his immortality because of the very real and dangerous ways humans react to that. He has to be careful. And he's not even powerful, he's just immortal, and that's enough to put him in danger of other humans.
And Dream is so obviously something powerful, something far beyond what Hob is, who knows what humans would do if they got their hands on a way to hurt him (Hob will, unfortunately, eventually get an answer to that question). So yeah. I think Hob would get it. Of course Dream has to be careful about revealing who and what he is. Normal humans tortured Hob without fully understanding what they were dealing with. If Hob had more information and the benefit of his immortality, realistically he could find a way to hurt his stranger in some way.
Especially after they reunite and Dream finally does give Hob that information he's been itching for for centuries. Especially when Dream tell him about his capture. Burgess got a hold of something he shouldn't have, but Dream could have eventually escaped if Burgess hadn't been given more information about his name and what he was.
I don't know, this is just me rambling, but I honestly think Hob would get it. I think even before learning about Dream's imprisonment, he would have been understanding of Dream holding back information. Hob knows humans suck- humans hurt Hob, Hob's hurt humans- as much as he wants to think he's earned Dream's friendship, he knows Dream has every right and reason to be extremely careful about who he gives information to.

another thing re: nobody else is doing it like eddie. in a lot of ways buck's response to eddie in 2x01 is a warped, backwards version of the way buck always responds to people he finds cool and competent and skilled and charming. it's only because eddie stepped onto buck's territory that he postured; in another world, buck would have been all over eddie from the get-go. as it stands in 2x01 he's needling eddie over his war stories, he's watching eddie's Super Cool Workout, he's craning his head to see just how attractive eddie can be. 2x01 is buck's hero worship of eddie, just the ugly version.
to be honest, i don't think buck ever stopped seeing eddie like that. i mean, even in 7x04 he's gushing to tommy about him. the difference is that eddie's the first person buck has admired like that who's actually genuinely respected him as a fully-formed adult capable of making his own choices, not just some stupid, reckless tantrum-throwing kid who needed to be scolded. bobby tells buck he doesn't have to get in the ambulance. eddie just tells buck he'll see him in there. eddie's a stupid-hot competent skilled charming war hero who's inviting buck to stand with him and trusting buck and buck has literally never had that.
and then eddie! never! stops! buck thinks eddie's the best thing since sliced bread, his best friend. and eddie just... accepts all his love and gives it right back. eddie is never condescending or patronizing or paternalistic and he doesn't see buck as a nuisance. not only is eddie super cool and capable, he treats buck like he's capable too (not super cool)! so buck has spent the last six years like, being obsessed with this guy, and it's not the first time he's been obsessed with a shiny new someone, but eddie is... literally obsessed with him back. that's SPECIAL.
