HSR x Fate UBW coming in Q3 2025 !

(I write these in mind for anyone doesn't know Fate series at all)

For now it's unknown will it come with stories or just skin or full pack with playable UBW character

Not long ago HSR had interview with FGO team, the magazine only release their Q&A but considering both side love each other project, these collab shouldn't really suprising. If there's suprising fact is why only UBW not FGO directly ? Since there is no info about collab details, let's make some analysis for now :

FGO especially Fate series is really big world ! If you need comparasion, it's not only Honkai Impact world but all Hoyoverse become one and you need to know at least a bit of each title to make sense about Fate series !

Continuing point above, which is the reason they gave us years for this collab ! Their developer consider years should be enough for player to quick read most Fate series franchise (lol)

Fate as whole already into their 20 years old now so it's kinda impossible for anyone to learn that series from start (even I only know fifty percent of it). So to make it simple, they just pick their well known franchise but not making players too confused about their world building which is Fate Stay Night. UBW is decent choice considering what's happened with other two.

If anyone need comparasion, UBW kinda like GGZ in term of popularity and reminiscing (lol) while FGO kinda like former Genshin in term of popularity.

I kinda saw FGO pretty desperate nowdays or maybe they're already out of idea to promote Fate series onward. For anyone doesn't know, FGO was the king of mobile gacha games but after Genshin release their revenue drop sharply and with more Chinese gacha games out lately, you can say now it's their lowest situations so to be honest Fate series feels like gonna dying sooner or later which is this collab came.

I can say for sure that this collab came from HSR side since those otaku ops growth like now while watching/reading Fate series (lol) so I think there's no way HSR or even Fate team will slack off especially for storytelling since it's Fate main selling (if there's one for collab later lol)

Onto collab prediction since it's specifically UBW, means the main character is either Rin or/and Emiya. Maybe anyone still not read questionable leaks but there's info this collab need two version to finish means there's at least four and max six new character avaliable later. Considering UBW stories, I can think of Saber and Gilgamesh or maybe Kirei can join the roaster too.

Now for everyone who doesn't know Fate series and need pointer for later collab, first please watch Fate Stay Night, it have three titles with same story premise but different PoV with different ending (Fate Stay Night 24 episode -> Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works 1 movie -> Fate Stay Night Heaven's Feel 3 parts movie). Next it's Fate Stay Night prologue, Fate Zero 24 episode and you're good to breakthrough the collab only.

Sounds simple right, which is the reason they choose Unlimited Blade Works for collab. If FGO, you could swarm yourself with 9 years FGO lore materials + other works with and without "Fate" titles on it (lol)

really the entire world instantly melting away both times she lays eyes on her i.e. "gudako, why do you look like time's just stopped?" and "I see life return to gudako's eyes as she watches her go"

the looney tunes scene transition they randomly used twice

"the whole empire is stanning cnoc na riabh with all their might"

altria accidentally baking a chocolate nuke

guda doing a fuckton of drugs before summoning more servants to fight barghest

and then just collapsing to the cold hard floor of the shadow border for her 3 minute nap only to instantly bolt upright again and sprint out the door because she remembered pepe's warning

It really is crazy how at the end of LB6 if you choose the right options and get the red text one of the things Oberon opens up and talks about is the consumptive nature of modern fiction and how people just move on to the next thing but LB6 was so phenomenal that it has a permanent spot in my brain and it irreversibily changed how I look at stories

percival pokemon team?

So, with that big combo of being super doting + very food focused + adoring kids, i think he would probably be very comfortable as a pokemon breeder? Raising healthy pokemon for children just about to start their adventures, as well as fostering abandoned baby pokemon, and taking care of smaller pokemon until they're ready to be rereleased into the wild.

so the important notes here:

every pokemon breeder worth their salt is going to have a dependable fire type to help incubate eggs, and i feel he would pick Talonflame. not only do they have the advantage of being a bird and naturally nesting, but talonflames are also very strong battlers, on top of being able to carry very heavy loads at high speeds, so he doesn't have to worry about the safety of the eggs.

a very obvious pick is Kangaskhan, theyre able to carry around an extra egg, watch the children (and enjoying its own children socializing with other pokemon being raised), just a good non-human force to help around the daycare.

Escavalier would be a pokemon from his journey as a child, now older and happy to play-spar with the more battle hungry babymon that come through the daycare. He can still get over-eager and occasionally scare them though. He is one of Percival's battle pokemon.

Blissey was one of Percivals first hatched pokemon, who he ended up loving too much to adopt out. He also rationalized that its good to keep a pokemon that can heal others around the daycare just in case.

Appletun is another pokemon from his original journey, spending most of its days accidentally tripping people and larger pokemon by taking naps in the middle of doorways, walking paths, roads, rooms, and more. While super sleepy and seemingly unmotivated to do much else, Appletun is from Percivals journey as a child and is one of his battle pokemon.

Aggron is a battle hungry former foster that stomps around the daycare causing trouble. While they seem out of place due to their large everything and troublemaking personality, they are babied by the entirety of Percival's team. Like a teenager acting out for attention, yet they always try to fix what they break. Most babymon think theyre cool and end up following them around. Theyre also one of Percival's battle pokemon.

Wait, SAKURAI WROTE TUNGUSKA SANCTUARY???

Here I was, thinking it was bad due to being an attempt at shoving what should have been a whole-ass story chapter into a short Raid event, but in hindsight, it being the product of Sakurai's writing does make sense, and in that case, Tunguska Sanctuary's probably the de facto worst thing they've written to date... right?

Please tell me there's nothing worse made by them on the horizon, my heart can't take it.

Haha yeah. Quill had told me Tunguska's disappointing writing was why they never advanced in JP, so I went in prepared. It was shorter than Olympus and Heian Kyo, so I didn't fry my braincells as much as back then. Plus I'm still riding on my Lostbelt 6 high.

My main gripe with Tunguska is that it was a story that was meant to focus on Koyanskaya, but it gave us 8 entire chapters of Taigong wank and not a single appearance from Koyanskaya herself until near the end. It soured me from Taigong's character until I saw an analysis of him and warmed up to him just a little after the event ended. And the end resolution was literally, "What if we turned Talk-no-Jutsu into an actual way to resolve a convoluted situation which didn't need to be convoluted in the first place."

An egg, really?

I don't think there's anything upcoming (i.e., currently on JP) that's what I would consider worse than Tunguska. I actually haven't read any of the fan translations of the chapters myself so I can't speak for myself. But for the main story chapters...

I think Higashide (the guy who wrote Fate/Apocrphya) wrote Traum? Quill just went through it and said it seemed pretty good until the end when it felt like the ball had dropped a ton. They said it still can't compare to how disappointing Tunguska was, which is a good sign I guess lol.

Nasu wrote Lostbelt 7, and as far as I've heard it seems fine (not on the same level of hype as Lostbelt 6, but also pretty good too if not dampened by the slow release after its hype). Ironically, Koyanskaya is in Lostbelt 7 and when Quill finally got to reading it, told me it feels like Nasu and Sakurai did not communicate at all with how Tunguska should be written.

Ordeal Call I also sounded ok. Again, dampened by the slow release (there's a reason why people nicknamed it "Ordeal Stall").

But as disappointing as Tunguska was, the contents of the chapter itself still can't top the utter cringe that is known as the Agartha chapter. That was just bad. Sakurai's writing may be flawed, but she hasn't written anything that's blatantly horrible like Agartha lol.

i’d already read and gone insane over lb6 in japanese 2 years ago so i took my time when it came out in na and uwaaaaaa the oberon-aurora mirroring the scheming destroyer and innocent usurper how while aurora in her final moments recognized her titania (melusine) oberon could not recognize he had met his titania-like person (castoria of the future) lb6.................... LB6 you can't just have the thing I think of as the MC after the torment of being hit with a powerful artifact meant to trap people in loops of despair be the Doctor goofily telling me how to live a better life and have that and Mash be what snaps me out of it and expect me to be ok, that's not fair 🥲
