I’ll have to see when I get around it health wise but I found a very cute old book in the charity shop that’s all Palestinian native flowers in cross-stich patterns by a Dutch lady who traveled there and I thought about scanning it, turning it into a PDF and giving it out to anyone who can show they made a new donation to a fundraiser/fundraiser group

Thing is I only do silly embroidery aka no patterns ever so idk how clear the patterns are, if they’re usable without the patterns, bc the text is in Dutch. Because if I have to translate text it’ll take longer of course. So if you’re familiar with cross stitch patterns you can let me know and then I can snap a few pictures and you can tell me if they’re readable or not? They ‘look’ fairly simple but I’m out of my depth here, would love to make some myself but I’d like to get it out there before I learn an entire new hobby!

During class today we were discussing once more Alaska Native history and I think about the absolute tragedy of so many families and people being displaced from their homes. Being ransacked and people being dehumanized. I think about how that is actively being done right now in Palestine and it breaks my heart constantly. The same thing that happened to my own people is happening once more. Nearly a year now they have to face the absolute horrors and constantly pushed out of their lands.

There are so many go funds me right now dozens that need funding, but one that I want to link here the boy Named Muhammad who is nicknamed Uncle Tito who is currently in the northern Gaza Strip.

I found his tik tok one day and He performs for the children there to bring hope and some much needed moments of happiness to them. I find that his work he is doing is absolutely important. Key to resistance is joy despite everything and he is bringing that to the kids. I really wanted to highlight him and his own fundraiser.

If anyone could donate anything it can make a difference in his and his families life.

March 11, 2024 — Appalachians Against Pipelines activists prevented drilling of Poor Mountain in Virginia for 8 hours as part of an effort to stop the Mountain Valley pipeline (MVP) project.

Mountain Valley Pipeline is a fracked gas pipeline that "stretches from the shale fields of so-called 'West Virginia' into central 'Virginia' with a possible extension into 'North Carolina.' The hazardous project will disrupt delicate ecosystems, harm communities, and increase international dependence on fossil fuels, pushing the planet further into climate chaos."

Activists face arrests and jail time trying prevent completion of MVP and the inevitable environmental disasters caused by pipelines like Keystone, which has had 23 spills since it began operating in 2010.
