Was originally gunna draw a Zora for this prompt but ended up drawing Impa instead and ya know what I’m here for it. The Sheikah always have such cool lore and designs in each game their in and I love drawing them hehe >:]

Ocarina of Time's Impa is a bit out of my comfort zone outfit wise but I actually really like how this turned out! She is very pretty :3

Post-ToTK | Angst Drabble

What if Link does manage to get Zelda back after defeating Ganondorf. He truly finds her and she’s no longer a dragon, but she isn’t Hylian either. Not entirely. She comes back with some features left over from the dragonification process. Still, she’s recognizable as the Princess, as Zelda.

It comes as a shock to Link when he realizes that Zelda doesn’t have a sense of self anymore; at least, not as the Princess of Hyrule. She can’t seem to remember herself as she was before it all. It makes sense, he thinks. She’s been an immortal being, an immortal dragon, for so long now that it stands to reason that she’s lost sight of the Hylian she once was. Zelda, at the very least, knows something is off, but she doesn’t know what she’s lost. Not quite.

She doesn’t know why she’s there; furthermore, she doesn’t understand why she’s mortal now. Zelda lost her immortality and her connection with the other great dragons she would often fly with. She felt every bit of her connection with herself as an immortal being getting ripped away from her. Alive as she is, she can feel her body dying all around her. She finds herself missing what she once was.

She’s not entirely lost herself, and people who knew her can see that she’s still there somewhere, but it’s buried so far into her mind. What’s worse is that she can’t understand why everyone looks at her with such sadness in their eyes.

Oh man I am having so much fun with Strangers across eras! Bascially something happens in lbl and Lana and Cia accidentally drags the father figures + impas to the world. I’m debating on having grandpa smith and Gaepora here cuz they wouldn’t do well with adventuring and fighting (tho grandpa smith is jacked so maybe he’ll be fine) but they all agree to go find their missing sons! They all butt heads bit general Impa loves to hang out with Talon who is nothing but anxiety this entire story. Linebeck, Leon, and Rusl chill with each other simply cuz I like their dynamic, they actually get annoyed with each other a lot lol. But regardless they still care. Idk about everyone else… I feel like I have too many characters for this, but regardless it’s a lot of fun!

Hm…. My Linebeck is very obnoxious, so I feel like he’d piss off Abel a lot, but he’s also charming so I think that Tillieth would enjoy his company. (He wouldn’t flirt with her of course.) but that’s what I think lol. But they’re your characters!

And I have three favorite colors! Forest green, sunset orange, and pastel yellow 🧡💚💛

Ganon growled and hissed, but he did not shout threats. His bright red fire sparked off her golden chains, and the chains stayed strong. 

Zelda could breathe, she could stand tall. Her legs did not shake, her lungs did not burn. Her vision did not swim and her mind stayed clear. 

Ganon stared at her. His eyes, made of golden fire, were as bright as ever. His body, made entirely of malice and blood-red fire, stank of rot.

“When your Hero arrives,” he finally hissed. “I will tear him apart. I will crush him. He will die screaming and I will make you watch every second. I will hurt you, foolish girl; I will make you regret every second you dared to imagine that you could contain me and my power.”

Beneath all that rage, he almost sounded human.

Safe within her dome of light, her heart and mind clear, Zelda boldly met Ganon’s gaze. Not for the first time, she smiled at him. It infuriated him. She couldn’t resist. 

He wanted her to break. He wanted her to be consumed by terror.

She refused.

Zelda continues to hold Ganon at bay. With Nayru's aid, she can finally breathe easily for the first time in decades.

For the first time in so long, Zelda has Ganon well and truly trapped.

Impa is my long-standing go-to when I need to melt bosses quickly, but I’m both surprised and delighted that Zelda is my highest level character in Age of Calamity right now.

Even though she, in-fact, didn’t escape on her own, Zelda must have been visibly offended for Impa to apologize like that too, I love it! 🤣

Fr I get the vibes of a very trusting playful relationship with Impa (& most of those who know Zelda) in this game, I love it. 🥰

Me: Wow, why do all the townsfolk seem to know Zelda personally like she’s just any ol local girl.

Also me: Spends like an hour hopping onto any & every surface that can be hopped onto, hopping into the town square fountain, trying to hop into the well, hopping into & hiding in pots, jumpscaring the local cops, crawling out of the well dripping wet somehow, chasing butterflies, & occasionally managing some parkour on the rooftops… ah, I see.

you don't get the paraglider before leaving the tutorial area in totk like you did in botw, you have to do a quick early game quest to get it. i didn't know this. the game doesn't tell you this. once you leave tutorial area you can explore in any direction you wish bc open world. i was doing just that, exploring in any direction i wished! collecting eggs from trees and ripping plants off the ground! imagine my surprise when i accompany lady impa on a hot air balloon ride to get a birds eye view look at stuff on the ground and she says to me "don't worry, i'll be able to get back down when i'm done here, you can just paraglide off now" when i don't have the fucking paraglider

Like okay I had a break down over Lady Impa while writing this story haha, the joys of actually exploring crossover aus and looking up to realize the colossal abyss you've dug yourself in

Home girl lost her best friend and her family and her purpose to live all in one fucking night and for 100 years she watches her ward Zelda fighting this fucking monster and she can't do jack shit but wait for Link's ass to wake up but that doesn't mean this woman's gonna let shit go to waist no sir. and like yeah she's old but that's not gonna stop her and NO she is NOT going to use the weird rejuvenating serum that her fucking sister made because she can do it by herself thank you very much! (it's totally not because she'd be the younger sister again plus some sibling angst that's i've been thinking up an)
