disheartening that a lot of people don't seem to notice the extreme tonal dissonance between botw/totk cutscenes and the actual gameplay dialogue
#like. the cutscenes' tone is very different its very. stiff? serious except for when its trying to make Joke Of Mild Chuckle#and then you have the game itself which has a lady who is obsessed with a sheikah ball and impa yelling about her granddaughter's birthmark#i dont mind a serious tone usually but its so...jarring and uncomfortable#with these games in particular#like the thing about zelda is its generally quite lighthearted but it can be serious#but botw/totk are waayyy too committed to being serious storywise#when the rest of the game is goofy af#and its sort of annoying#doubly annoying that seemingly no one has picked up on thid#glider rambles
