Linktober Day 14, akkala skyview tower!

Part of the duo’s jobs as Purah’s interns are to help with the remapping project of Hyrule after the Upheaval. Link’s the only little man sturdy enough to WANT to be flung out of a modified human canon attached to a cable, I think. (Introducing part of the research team! We have Jerrin, a hylian-sheikah researcher; bilson, a rito bolson employee; and truckson, a tarry town goron.)

I headcanon that after the "The Dragon's Tears" and "Crisis at Hyrule Castle" quests, Link's behavior is so erratic and self-destructive that Purah and the sages strap him to chair and make an INTERVENTION!! They are WORRIED!! 😢 Poor Link misses Zelda so much💔💔💔

I’ve picked out some names that you guys came up with and one of them will be the actual name. I’ll put all my art related to this under a hashtag with the title and maybe (when I do end up making a comic) one day make a separate blog for it!

Ancient Hero’s mask pt. 1

A lil comic about ancient masks… and curses. While the Ancient Hero’s Aspect armor is super handy upgraded, why he gotta give me that thousand yard stare?

I thought it would be fun to put a little spin on how the item might be used in a real life function sort of way, and seeing as form changing masks of lost spirits already exist in Majoras Mask, why not make the Aspect behave the same? The three parts of the decorative belt make up an owl, a dragon, and a boar, symbols of the Triforce’s virtues, so because it’s the hero I went with the dragon face as the mask design!

Featuring the fit I mostly wore for Link, as I found the Cap of the Wild early by complete panic induced accident and refused to take it off the rest of the game. Everything dyed black or grey for color coordination of course (I’m bad at color matching, it’s why I never color my lineart lol)

The Aspect itself is an interesting design for sure. Perhaps some kind of zonai or hybrid? Who knows. Maybe he’s an evolved mogma

Whatever he is, I doubt the citizens of Hyrule would recognize Link (less than they already do). There’s room for shenanigans there!

Well now, you sure know how to keep a woman waiting, Urbosa laughed. She appeared before him and immediately began to scan him for injuries. None that she could see, but that never meant much with Link; he always had a habit of hiding when he was hurt.

She could see burn scars creeping up his neck. The old scar on his forehead and the other, smaller one on his chin. He looked nearly exactly the same as he did one hundred years ago. The Master Sword was strapped to his back, already shining like a star.

He stared at her, the vague blur of her, with wide eyes. He’d always had such a poker-face before, rarely letting anyone except the Champions see his emotions.

“I’ve got a lot to tell you,” he blurted out. That alone was a surprise; her Link was speaking freely.

Urbosa had vowed to protect the younger Champions. Even before the inauguration ceremony, as soon as she heard how young they were, she vowed to herself that she’d keep them safe. She and Daruk frequently worried about them. How could they keep these teenagers safe during what promised to be an apocalyptic event- if they couldn’t stop it.

They didn’t stop it.

She didn’t protect them.

Urbosa floated closer to Link, reaching out to ruffle his hair, but her hand passed right through him. He twitched and she pulled back, sighing.

I can’t wait to see you take Naboris back from Ganon, she told him. We Gerudo hate unfinished business.

So did Link. She knew that very well.

With Riju's help, Link boards Vah Naboris and reunites with Urbosa. But the Thunderblight lies in wait, and freeing the last Champion won't be easy.

Day 1– Hateno Ancient Tech Lab

Introduction to Headaches— specifically, Zelda’s. Six months ago, blood moons started reappearing. Monsters started multiplying. Link’s been fished from the woods and put back on monster duty. Zelda’s researching as much as she can, serving as Purah’s understudy, but there’s only so much they can do with the continual tremors and growing concerns across the hyrulian continent.
