Disillusion - Bios
Becky Boxleitner - aka - Lady Corva: From that day on, Becky became a new type of person. She became the anti-hero Lady Corva. Her illusion of heroes shattered, especially when some of that corrupt hero's PR people tried to pay her dad off for silence. (They refused the money and left the city, no intention of returning.) She has a hatred and distrust for older heroes and pity for up and coming ones (Like Rex). As Lady Corva - Becky doesn't interfere with villain schemes. She rather just keeps civilians out of harms way. If the police come knocking or any hero comes around to stop the villain, she makes their jobs that much harder with her powers, skills, and tech her dad designed for her. She would often help villains with their crimes, making the getaway's easier, as long as people don't get hurt (unless those people are jerks). In her civilian life, Becky is still friendly and outgoing with her close friends Violet, Scoops, Victoria, Tobey, Rose, and Eileen. Otherwise she does not try to actively make friends and is only respectful and polite to people when they treat her and her family and friends well. She is warm with the Botsford family because why not. TJ has the International Lady Corva Fan Club. Instead of Art class, Becky takes gymnastics and fencing to help sharpen her skills. She does not solely rely on her powers in battle in this au. She has a pet crow named Rapier. Her aunt found the guy alone and abandoned on her way to visit her brother and niece in Fair City. The crow became Becky's pet. It was discovered by Steven that the poor crow was a result of an abandoned genetics experiment. Rapier has better eyesight and speed than an average crow and can live for a very long time. Rapier's secret identity Plague Hunter. This crow eats bugs and berries. Including some spiders. Steven - Dr. Two Brains: Still becomes Dr. Two Brains in this au. Although the mad scientist is miffed his arm never grew back. Two Brains: Come on it worked for Kurt Conners. Steven had gotten his arm amputated after the accident. His best friends Tubing and Doohickey helped Steven make his robotic prosthetic arm. Tobey is intrigued and curious to how it works but Two Brains won't let the kid touch it. After his accident, Two Brains repairs his arm by himself mostly. He made a few modifications to get it to resemble a mouse paw. He and Becky are not on opposing sides like in canon or the regular bbau's. Even back when he was Steven, Two Brains made gadgets and tech modifications to help his daughter with her anti-hero side. He still talks to Tubing and Doohickey even afterwards. Lady Corva has a black visor and earpiece to help her dad observe her battles (when he is not committing them), and give her aid and advice as usual. This Two Brains/Steven is not much different from his bbau and canon self. He did become slightly solemn after Becky learned the dark truth about corrupt heroes just because his child was sad now. Becky and her dad are both still sassy people. Squeaky was at first afraid of Rapier because he thought the crow would eat mice, but he calmed down after seeing the crow prefer berries and bugs, including spiders. Squeaky also relates to Rapier about being genetic experiments. Dr. Two Brains is also a practical joker and more relaxed in this au. Note: Don't ask him to give you a hand. Notable changes: - Mousebrain takeover is not that angsty. Two Brains was bored and Squeaky and Lady Corva mostly had friendly chats. Lady Corva felt Squeaky did cross a line when he openly terrorized people because it violated her rule. -Lady Corva was never fooled by Miss Power. -Becky is 12 to 13 when Kid Math comes around. This part is angsty.
-A world without Lady Corva (Wordgirl) - Becky's wish is for Bob to come back and that they never went to that city in the first place. @melodythebunny @dualnaturedscientist

Yes for the personality. I think her dads let her test the waters for both sides. She moonlights as a hero and villain from time to time. I think both of them will feel bad for putting pressure on her and try to talk out what she wants to do. They are fine with her acting on both sides and will wait till she wants to decide what she wants to be.
Though I can also see her in a neutral path like that au ask I sent where Becky has powers, she just uses them to help others like a volunteer rather than a hero and where Violet knows in the beginning. She aids people and villains and heroes with minor tasks without taking sides.
Lady Corva - Villain
Wordgirl - Hero.
This is called my villain/hero dad au.
You remember your idea of Professor Terror. Well what about an au where Professor Terror raised Becky along with Steven. Would Becky still be a hero, a villain, or somewhere in between.
YES. YES. Becky having two dads in one. Both very different parenting styles but also both influencing Becky. This is a very good question, does she become a hero? Does she become a villain? Does she take interest in neither due to her dads encouraging her to be one or the other?
I can see this going down a route where they both want her to be on the good and evil side. Steven trying his best to steer her to be a hero. Professor Terror doing his best to push her into villainy just like him.
The thing is. Due to so much fighting and pulling her apart, when they take over. The other one has to butt out of the others parenting time. Which means neither would be present. The only reason they let this happen is because Bob is there. Anything that happens Bob is the first to let them know. But he let's Becky keep her as solution a secret.
With Professor Terror, she goes along with his lessons in villainy. She has a whole villain persona and a gimmick.
With Steven. She's a hero that he had kept training. He guided her and everything. The ins and outs of heros and villains.
Even when the two stop fighting over her fate. She's still being split between the two of them.
At one point she decides she has had enough with the facade and finally goes to them. And tells them she's decided what she wants to do.
Or
Instead of them not knowing, they're letting her test out the waters on both ends. They both train her and teach her the ways of heroics and villainy.
Which one shall be up to you.
Becky has habits and mannerisms from both. Both bad and good. Cunning and wily from Professor Terror. Brave and kind hearted from Steven. But twice as sassy. Also the clumsiness.

My name is Corva Aemilius. I am a priestess of Kynareth and I come from High Rock on a pilgrimage to see the Gildergreen in Whiterun.
Tumblr media
But I don't plan to return to the Betony temple. I wish to return to Cyrodiil, my native land. I am a Great War orphan and was raised by distant relatives in High Rock. I hate the elves and what they did to my family. I don't know if my desire for revenge is compatible with the life I have dedicated to the Lady of the Winds. I want to go to the Imperial City first. See where my birthplace was. If anyone still remembers the Aemilius family. See everything the elves took from me.
Tumblr media
I come across three sacred stones. I feel the power emanating from them. I approach that of the Mage, my birth sign. I feel its energy flowing through me.
Tumblr media
Pursued by wolves, I manage to take refuge in a small camp against a cliff. It seems deserted. I approach the fire. It feels good after a day of walking in the cold. It's still summer but the evenings are already very cool in this province. And I know that the closer I get to the Jerall Mountains that mark the natural border with Cyrodiil, the more bitter the cold will be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hadn't heard them approach: the bandits who owned this camp. I tried to parley, they opposed my prayers with their axes and daggers. Wounded but alive, I was able to take refuge in a cave not far away. I had just enough strength left to heal my wounds...
Tumblr media
Exhausted, my dresses sticky with blood, I ended up leaving my shelter to continue on my way. The road takes me to the town of Helgen. Finally, what's left of it. So was what they said in Whiterun really true? That Helgen had been completely destroyed by a dragon?

I don't know where this came from, but here you go I guess
an AU in which Lady Umbra's schemes come to fruition and she gets her husband on the throne of the planet Veran. additionally, instead of Aurelia being adopted by the Ry clan, Navree ends up adopted by Aurelia's father before her birth
Aurelia Valeria Corva -- princess of Veran Umbra Val'Kyria -- Sith sorcerer from the Unknown Region Faustus Valerius Veritas -- current King of Veran Publius Naevius Veritas -- adopted first child of Faustus and crown prince of Veran
Lady Umbra wanted to keep the kids with them, but Faustus decided it was in their best interest to let them be trained by the Jedi. Aurelia is extremely precocious and manages to stay with her brother despite being several years younger (also she'd just become incredibly difficult to deal with when they separated the siblings, so it was best to let her stick to her brother)
notes on names:
(under a cut because I got rambly and I know my thought process might not be interesting)
Aurelia means 'gold'. Revan acquired the title of Prodigal Knight, which refers to someone who spends money and resources freely and recklessly, I think there's a bit of irony there. I know it's a nomen and not a praenomen, I'm not trying to construct a perfectly accurate name, I'm going for what I think sounds good
Umbra means 'shadow' and for a Sith, it works quite well. I must admit I don't know what my thought process for Val'Kyria was, but I like it too much to figure out a replacement
Faustus shares the name of a man who made a deal with the Devil -- in this case, his Devil was Lady Umbra. Veritas means 'truth' or 'honesty'. he is actually truthful and honest but people don't tend to believe him
Publius means 'of the people', which fits Navree's personality quite well. I don't know, Naevius just feels like it's keeping in line with both the naming scheme and Navree himself. he also gets the cognomen Veritas because like his adopted father, he is very upfront, truthful and honest. thankfully, people are more willing to accept his truthfulness

Corva quietly slipped out of the guest room and silently shut the door behind her. She followed the source of the concerning emotions back to their source, another room in the house. From this close, she could almost make out the sound of people talking.
She gently tapped one finger on the door in the quietest attempt at a knock she could give.
The panic, which had slowly started to ebb, surged sharply enough to make Corva flinch. The protective anger of the second person turned outward, to a more destructive kind of anger. She had no doubt that person would do whatever it took to keep their friend safe.
Corva almost left, then. These people didn't want her there, so why should she stay? But no. She had come this far, and she needed to know what was truly going on here. No use backing down now.
"Come in," came a soft call from the room.
Corva turned the knob, finding it unlocked. Strange; she would have expected anyone as scared as these people to have locked the door at the very least. She opened it just far enough to slip inside, then shut it behind her.
There were two people inside, sitting together on the bed. One was dark-skinned with long red hair, bright red eyes, horns, and a tail. They were glaring at Corva as if daring her to try anything. The second was tan, with pale hair cut just above their shoulders and yellow-gold eyes.
"Hello," she said softly. "I'm Corva."
How could she explain the situation best...
"I was a little bit lost, and am imposing on Melanie's hospitality for the evening," she continued. "I'm not from here, and I don't know or understand the local rules and customs. Melanie explained little about how she's bonded to her familiars, but she made it sound like everything was idyllic here.
"But I'm an empath. I sensed you panicking, and that doesn't fit with her story of how things work around here. I was hoping you could maybe explain things more, and give me a perspective that Melanie can't or won't."
She looked between the two of them. The red-head was looking at her with wariness now rather than outright anger, and the blonde was almost... wistful, maybe. Cautiously hopeful.
It spurred Corva to add, "And then, if you need and want my assistance, maybe I can help you."

Nevaeh kept holding Briar close, in a way that would be hard to get free without hurting her, a thing Briar would never do.
"I... I don't know much about how Melanie is bounded with the others," she started cautiously, trying to ease her heart, "I believe she went through the proper process in court for them. They aren't mixed, after all, they probably wouldn't make just any contract."
Briar gritted his teeth, remembering the contract he signed, one too unfair for the court, but still valid and working.
"She is bounded as any witch is," Briar said, knowing that if he kept silent Neveah would just force herself to talk through the fear.
He gestured to the collar around his neck, comfortable but always there, partially covering the scars Pavel gave him, almost nothing compared with the scars under Nevaeh's.
"Old signs and everything. She also does whatever the hell she wants as any fucking wi-" he stopped when Nevaeh tightened her grip, keeping talking like this would only get her more scared.
"I don't think I can tell you anything about her that isn't common knowledge about witches in general. I don't know her anyway."
"A-about the panic-" Nevaeh started, ignoring Briar's whispers saying she didn't need to talk. "I-I it was just a-a nightmare," it wasn't a lie. "I-it was about- about something else. We don't need help."
Briar watched the woman who was blocking the way out of the room, he got his share of getting help from random women, and someone who just entered the room like this can't be trustworthy.
It's not like he is desperate to run away now, he still wants to, he will someday, but not today.

"Uh Sure." The lady was starting to remind him of his brothers and the way they used to mess around hitting trees and stumps with their abilities or just doing something fun and simple.
Corva grinned and tossed the ball. Andre had to think fast to catch it with his magic.
In her experience, magical practice felt a lot less like drudge work when it was something fun like a game, and Andre needed the practice to get his control back. He didn't even notice her slowly increasing the size of the ball, and that he was able to keep control of it even as it grew incrementally.

I really enjoy your art but I’m just noticing...do you ever draw LGTB+ relationships or characters? It’s kind of sad seeing only hetero couples drawn in your style.
Hallo!! I do on occasion, but admittedly I'm:
Still at home. All my parents are generally okay? They still be concerned about my posting these to Instagram where my family can see 😬.
Posting most of this to IG, where it gets.... Nasty. Posting Myna and the High Republic twins alone was a nightmare in the comments.
I'm a big ol ho for self inserts and semi-self-insert characters, so I keep making those sorts of ships?? 😅
HOWEVER. I'm hoping to get more drawn, especially with Pride Month coming up!! I've got a SWTOR couple I need to get back to, as well as some Codywan and my Lovely Lady, Myna!! Who's got a girlfriend in @singsofbly 's Corva!!

Corva - Human Swashbuckler
Captain of “The Crimson Devourer”
Lady of Tidewater Rock
———
Sometimes ya just have to sit and take in the last few days.
After a sahaguin attack, turning a red dragon into a cat, and a ship christening ceremony, the party finally left Rickety Squibbs. During the two-day journey to Tidewater Rock, the party was attacked by a ghost ship belonging to Sharess, a banshee trapped in her current form by Raugsmada. Upon her defeat, Corva made a deal with Sharess, and the party continued on to Tidewater Rock.
Rather than try to attack the fortress, Corva accompanied Anath, Nasha, and Olive inside, and had a cordial if tense dinner with Lady Agasta Smythe. Agasta inquired as to Corva’s intentions, and after some discussion, suggested the two enter a business arrangement, sealed with a marriage contract.
At that moment, Isabella Locke bombarded Tidewater Rock and The Crimson Devourer with a fierce sahaguin attack. In the cacophony, Corva sealed the deal, and the party repelled the attack. Nasha struck Isabella with a deafening attack, and knocked her out of the sky to her death.
The party now heads to Quent, hoping to chat with one Tessa Fairwind and acquire arms and reinforcements for Tidewater Rock and Corva’s new wife.

Lady Corva Saxor of Meadows had her teen portrait taken!
It’s tradition in most hight nobility homes that teenagers have their formal portrait taken between the age of 15 and 20. Some houses prefer head shots only, while House of Saxor does a mix. Corva’s photo ia already up on the wall.
In two years she will probably be off to study at Windenburg Business High School, meaning she will move there because it’s quite a journey from San Myshuno. She has not yet decided on University or not, but there will be enough time to think while in Windenburg.
Ah, if you like the photos, their backgrounds are included in the Photo Studio remake I announced some time ago .

Disillusion - A Lady Corva AU
Tw: Character death, amputation, corruption, dark idea.
There are realities where Becky becomes the hero known as Wordgirl or a villain with a new gimmick or the same name. Other realities have Becky hop onto the villain path earlier or later in her villain career. What if there is one reality where Becky did plan to become a hero, but something happened that made that dream of hers dash away for ever, replaced with a new path.
The scene sets one day when a 7 year old Becky Boxleitner along with her monkey Bob, and her dad Steven were visiting Steven's sister who lived in another city a few hours away. So the visit happens and Becky's aunt suggests that one day, they visit the local park. Since the park was close to her aunt's house, they walked there together. The group passed by some buildings when suddenly an explosion happens right near them. Becky and her family are caught in a battle between a hero and a villain. Becky gets separated from Steven, Bob, and her aunt. Her vision is obstructed by the chaotic battle. She soon finds her dad and Bob but it is a grisly sight. The hero was tossing rubble to hit the villain and they missed. Steven and Bob who were frantically searching for Becky were in the line of attack. Bob pushed Steven out of the way to save him, but he ended up getting slammed into some broken metal beams by the rubble, causing him to get impaled as he bled to death. Steven got knocked out by some fallen debris and his right arm got squashed underneath some walls. Poor bewildered and scared Becky screamed, pushing at Bob and Steven, trying to get them to get up so they could leave and get to safety. The villain sees a crying Becky and an injured Steven and dead Bob. This villain was a bad guy but still had morals. He yelled at the hero to stop the battle and to get these injured civilians out of the way. This hero though was corrupt and only cared about fame and glory. They didn't care who got hurt as long as the villain was captured. So the villain rescued the three himself and it resulted him getting captured. At the hospital, Becky definitely suffered through a traumatic experience with seeing Bob dead and her dad seriously injured. Becky stayed with her dad and wouldn't leave his side while he was knocked out. Becky's aunt was injured from the battle as well but not as bad as her brother was. While there Becky saw on TV the hero talking who claimed the tragic deaths and injuries were the fault of the villain, making the hero look like a saint and the villain look like a monster. Becky frowned in anger in confusion. That wasn't true at all. The villain saved her and her dad. The villain cared about their safety. The villain did the hero's job. It was the hero who was the monster. When Steven woke up, Becky told her dad everything that happened. She asked him so many questions. Becky: Daddy. That hero was being a bad guy. They didn't care what happened to us or Bob. They only focused on stopping the villain. The villain saved us. I don't understand daddy? You wrote in your book how heroes are supposed to protect people and stop bad guys. To care for other's as well as their own health. Why was that hero so...corrupt? Becky could only stare as her dad developed a dark look at her inquiries. Steven told her the truth she learned too early. That not every hero was like the ones in his book. Most were corrupt and greedy individuals who only cared about themselves and looking good to the public. He wrote that book so young and upcoming heroes like her would be different, be better than the old generation. To be like those who are sadly too few and too far gone. That day, Becky's fantasy world of heroes and villains shattered. The illusion broken, Becky silently told her dad she didn't want to become a hero anymore. With one good arm, Steven hugged her tightly, he didn't blame her for her choice. That day Wordgirl would never come to be. A new type of hero would rise instead in the future. Her name - Lady Corva. @dualnaturedscientist

Note
Yeah she does. She tells Becky she is better than those Bureaucratic and snobby people in power. I mean she is right but Becky doesn't want to take over the city and not hurt anybody, including jerks. Lady Corva doesn't want to take over the city either, too much work according to her and it interrupts much needed Pretty Princess Time. She still wants to cause chaos with her crimes which Becky doesn't approve of. Lady Corva doesn't harm everyone, mostly playful torments or bouts of humiliation for people. Those she really ends up killing are those who have dark secrets, she manipulates them, mentally tortures them, then later kills them off. Becky's view on there is good in everyone is slightly damaged when she realizes that regular people who appear good in public harbor such dark secrets. The villains she is fine with, both as Wordgirl and Lady Corva, she tends to bond with them a bit more in both persona's. Lady Corva is more like Becky's little devil on her shoulder, trying to convince her she is not fit for a hero role, she can still protect and save her loved ones, but everyone else can suffer. Lady Corva doesn't bully but rather has an extreme method of her actions that seem a bit like Mr. Charming's twisted justice on her victims. With the villains, its usually playful teasing, especially with the kid ones. Bob is the only one who knows so far but he can't exactly do anything because he is not skilled enough to handle something like this. He is not happy about it, but Lady Corva gives him food he likes so he let's it slide, sometimes. As for Steven, neither Becky nor Lady Corva want to tell him the truth. They don't wan't him to blame himself for what happened to Becky because of what his machine caused accidentally. Also Squeaky is not docile like in your Professor Terror au. Neither girls want to see their dad said and angry at himself. Lady Corva doesn't want anything bad to happen to her dad so one time Lady Corva kidnapped Steven temporarily so he wouldn't get caught up in a major crime she was committing. Steven tries to ask her who she is and all Lady Corva said that she couldn't tell him because the truth would break his heart and she could never live with herself for causing that. Steven will always love his child, hero or villain, but Lady Corva and Becky still don't want to hurt their dad emotionally or physically.
@drtwobrainsstuff
@melodythebunny
So you know how we talked about Professor Terror that you came up with. I have an alternate idea for that. A Professor Terror version of Becky instead of Steven (like with the mousebraingirl au). She calls herself Lady Corva after the constellation Corvus which is named for a crow connected to Apollo and crows in myths usually mean death. She is different from Miss Crimes as she is not that bloodthirsty, but she does enjoy torturing her victims. She wears a black mask when committing her crimes and a glittery black hood with bedazzled red gems lining the hood because its Becky. She has black fingerless gloves which allow her to extend her claws and a black formal jumpsuit similar to her Wordgirl outfit but a Crow in the middle holding a scythe instead of a star. She is still manipulative and Becky is aware of her at some point like with Steven and Professor Terror, but she has difficulty getting rid of her. Lady Corva's victims, they are those with dark secrets of their own that no one else knows about except for her somehow. Lady Corva has some of Mr. Charming's vigilantism ideals mixed in though she does care for her fellow villains still. She doesn't kill heroes because that is a waste and no one around to oppose her or her fellow villains which ruins the fun of things.
So any thoughts or questions for this?
@melodythebunny
Yesss. I loving this so much. This is so cool and poor Becky. Does she taunt Becky the same way Professor Terror taunt Steven? What is it like for Becky? Does anyone know?

Session 5 Recap
When we left off last time, the gang had just finished defeating a group of racists in a street brawl involving fire and puns. Now, the leader of the orc group they were defending, Siv, has suggested they move someplace more discreet to avoid the gathering crowd’s eyes. The gang (minus Belloth who was busy arm wrestling villagers or something) reaches a basement tavern on the impoverished side of town where the orcs reside.
Shadowdancer orders her usual tall glass o cow juice.
Shadowdancer: "Gimme the tit squeezins!"
Bartender: “Calm down...Here...”
Eff Off (Shadowdancer): [I taste it]
Eff Off (Shadowdancer): [is it cold]
Hamster Master (GM):  [its the coldest and most delicious milk you've ever tasted]
Shadowdancer: "Holy shit."
Shadowdancer drinks all of it and leaves the milk mustache on.
The group is curious about what happened back at the town. Siv tries to explain as best as she can.
Apparently those kinds of scuffles happen often, with people that like to push the orcs around whenever they enter the town square. The mood grows even icier at the mention of Frida.
Tuile: "Have you...spoken to or interacted with the woman known as Lady Frida lately?"
Shadowdancer: "Or with the people working for her?"
As the name of the lady leaves your lips you notice how the orcs around you suddenly tense up, and the friendly smile on Siv's face turns almost sour and forced.
Siv: Ah...the lady.
Tuile: "Oh. Welp.”
Corva: "I take it you guys aren't on good terms."
Siv: Well I can't say she's very...popular among us.
Shadowdancer: "Why's that?"
The orc beside her, a shorter male, scoffs at that.
Shadowdancer: "I heard some of you had a bit of a scuffle with a few of her guards that were out of uniform."
Male Orc: She's a fucken piece of wolf-shit.
Shadowdancer: "I don't doubt that.”
Tuile: "From what we've learned, that seems reasonable."
Despite the discrimination the orcs have faced before, Frida is the only noble to try and actively get rid of them.
Siv: When she stepped into power she immediately began renovating our homes, and at first that gave us hope of course but....then we weren't let back in. It's like she's waiting for the people to take us out...or sickness...or the cold of sleeping outside at night.
Corva: "That's awful, I'm so sorry. Who were the houses given to after they were stolen from you?"
Shadowdancer wipes her milk stache with a sympathetic expression.
Siv: Thank you...Well it was given to anyone else, really. People from the bad parts that needed new homes. As long as they weren't orcs.
Tuile tries to prompt Siv into saying more but fails a persuasion check. Shadowdancer tries and passes, leading Siv and Shadowdancer to a conversation the rest of the group isn’t privy to.
Shadowdancer: "You knew he was watching but didn't do anything about it? I suppose there wasn't much to do without looking even worse."
Siv: “He was adorable. We were going to talk to him but then they showed up and we didn't want him to get hurt.”
Shadowdancer nods.
Siv: “He was safer up there.”
Shadowdancer: "Fair enough."
The group is confused but Shadowdancer waves it off.
A room check shows nothing out of the ordinary besides the orcs regarding the group with suspicion. Shadowdancer agrees to help the orcs in any way. After a quiet discussion, the rest of the group reaches that same agreement after acknowledging that they hold no loyalties to Frida and are mostly in it for the money they were promised.
Siv then mentions a ‘Boss,’ much to the confusion of the group.
Siv: “Well if you want to help we can probably find something for you, though we'll have to save that talk for later.”
She looks at her group and they nod, all smiling.
Siv: “We got to speak with Boss first about this. Don't worry. We'll send someone to find you.”
Shadowdancer looks at the others and mouths "Boss?"
Corva shrugs.
Tuile shakes her head and crosses her arms, looking down.
The group decides it’s time to go, but not without being reminded of the goal they’ve all been striving for with all their hearts:
Camilla (Corva): [guys i reckon larry is lost forever now]
Cravin Raisins (Tuile): [:( thats quitter talk]
Eff Off (Shadowdancer): [sock keeper ate him]
Cravin Raisins (Tuile): [prOBABLY]
Hamster Master (GM): [#justiceforlarry]
Briar (Heskan): [larry is secretly some eldritch abomination and is heskan's patron]
Tuile thirsts after Siv and her orc teeth.
The group heads out for the night to sleep but realize it’s only 16:00 (4 PM) in game. They find ways to pass the time.
Shadowdancer flirts with orcs, who are very interested in her sparkling horns.
Tuile sulks in the corner and complains to Freya, her goddess. She answers with feelings of anger and sadness, which worry Tuile.
Corva spends the evening sorting through her things, looking unhappy.
Heskan does His Thing.
Shadowdancer rolls persuasion to try to convince an orc to invite her home so she doesn’t have to pay for a room. She rolls a 20. Two orcs, a muscly lady and one guy, are interested.
Eff Off (Shadowdancer): [bye lads i'm getting dicked down by an orc]
Tuile looks at the camera likes she's on the fantasy office.
More of the evening passes with Tuile fuming to her goddess about stress baking and moral crises, though Freya doesn’t seem concerned with baking at the moment.
Eff and Ham convince Cravin to roll persuasion to see if any of the Hot Orcs will wanna spend the night with Tuile.
Camilla (Corva): [Corva isn't interested in any peen or vageen]
Cravin Raisins (Tuile): [im gonna roll a 2 and have to leave town]
Hamster Master (GM): [there's a lady orc sitting next to ya]
Hamster Master (GM): [she's glancing over at you]
Tuile rolls and gets a 23.
Hamster Master (GM): [HOLY]
Eff Off (Shadowdancer): [NICE]
Camilla (Corva): [damn]
Cravin Raisins (Tuile): [BYE LOSERS]
While Tuile and Shadowdancer are occupied, Heskan and Corva figure out where they’re going to sleep for the night. Both decide to spend the night at the tavern they’re occupying for 5 silver.
The night passes and the group meets up once again at the tavern’s main area. It is uneventful and Shadowdancer definitely does NOT ask Tuile is she nutted. Neither Shadowdancer nor Tuile explicitly admit they had sex with the orcs, either.
Then, the ground begins to shake.
Everyone rolls dexterity to see if they fall.
Heskan and Corva manage to stay upright by grabbing onto the bar counter.
Shadowdancer falls but is unhurt.
Tuile falls on her face immediately.
Everyone is confused.
The bartender makes a comment about the gods, making Tuile suspicious. She helps Shadowdancer pick up the broken glass from the bar, deep in thought. She gives herself a cut and is healed by Corva. Tuile recollects talking to her goddess earlier and the feelings of anger and stress she felt. She decides to try and contact her goddess again.
Slowly the feeling of anxiety spread to your body, as if it's being forced upon you. But just as sudden as it appeared it's gone again.
Heskan: "What's wrong?
Tuile: "She's angry. Scared of something. Anxious. I-I don't know exactly..."
Heskan: "What could be powerful enough to make a god scared?"
Shadowdancer: "Don't like that."
Heskan: "Me neither."
Tuile looks sick and panicked.
She heads to the door for fresh air when it opens, another person crashing into her. The figure reveals herself to be Mari!
She says she is here to meet with the group, and when questioned takes out a piece of paper.
There's only a sigil on it, a blind raven with an eye in its beak.
Mari: “We've decided to welcome your help.”

“As you wish,” Hannu said. “Although, In my experience people who say ‘all I need is some sleep’ needs way more than some sleep."
Hannu was perceptive—possibly too perceptive. But she would only intrude on these people's lives for some sleep. That was all she needed in the short term, at least.
"Anyway, I’ll lead you to the room, since I don’t think those two would let you sleep," he continued, gesturing to Cody and Melanie. They at least had the grace to look sheepish.
“Corva, I’m sure you want to do this alone, but you can lean on Hannu if you are too tired," Melanie said. "It would make things easier and we would worry less."
Oh, now she cared about how tired Corva was. Not before, when she was interrogating her about her supposed magic and putting out enough curiosity and disbelief for a three-course meal. No, when that's the case, Melanie was all for goading Corva into doing magic, despite how she told them she was too drained for it.
You're as much at fault as they are, she told herself. You had the opportunity to say no.
Even though that would have continued the interrogation...
"You don’t need to if you don’t what, though,” Melanie added.
Corva gave a polite nod. She rose to her feet, thankful that her knees stayed steady.
"If you would lead the way?" she prompted Hannu.
He nodded and offered her his arm, like an old-fashioned gentleman might give to escort a lady. Corva looked between the arm and Hannu's face, and he gave her a wry smile.
Ah. Clever. He was offering her an out, a way to lean on him without leaning on him. She took the offered arm and used his solid presence to keep her shaky balance.

"They are chaotic but they are good people," Hannu said on the way to the room, "Even Ducan, although he is somewhat more selective about who to take care of."
The room was truly ready, and Hannu helped Corva on the bed, "Sleep truly, as much as you need, we won't let anything happen to you, child, Melanie can be like that but she isn't weak, nor as irresponsible as she let herself show, it's your choice of course."
