another thing abt krystal with a k and the steepy podcast at the beginning: bloggers of that level are absolutely known and manipulated by a theme park company like that. disney food blog might pay for themselves and claim to do honest reporting, but they are often at media releases, and have the company’s best interests in mind. bloggers like them aren’t going to seriously disparage the company they are making their living off of. however, they’re still not directly working for disney themselves. krystal with a k is probably extremely in the know about some stuff, and definitely gets invited to/told about new attractions before the general populace, but she’s not working directly for dentonic. she’s just seriously enthusiastic and has monetized that enthusiasm.

krystal with a k is a fascinating bit of self-reflection from taz. she gets more and more toxic as she gets more and more scrubbed and corporate, which certainly feels like SOME sort of commentary on the podcast industry
