Sweet Like Candy is Sena's debut mini-album, making her the fourth and final member of VENUS to debut solo. With a track list of eight songs, Sena performed the title tracks "Exes" and "Get Him Back" for a total of six weeks across various music shows and concert appearances. Exes would go on to win three music show awards, and Get Him Back would earn two.

With a star-studded all-female producing team, Sena's debut mini album will feature tracks produced by the acclaimed producing duo SODA, one of Japan's most popular idols, Kaori, Evangeline's leader Namra AKA angeleyes, the producing trio of Venus' sister group SNS Mika AKA M.ka, Yuki, and Piper, MORNINGSTAR member Eris, Kaleina from KRUSH, Hiro from LUCKY, Love AKA lovelies from REJECTS, and her always supportive groupmates Chloee Lee, Baebi, and Klara Blix.

Despite its divisive reception, Sweet Like Candy made a notable splash in the music scene. On its first release day, It sold over 1.8 million copies, showcasing Sena's shockingly strong fan base and the anticipation surrounding her solo debut. The album continued to perform well, reaching a total of 4 million copies sold.

The album's title tracks, "EXES" and "Get Him Back," quickly became fan favorites. "EXES" shot to the top of the Gaon chart, holding the number one spot for an impressive 20 days before "Get Him Back" entered the top ten and subsequently took over the number one position for 25 days. However, the album's overall chart performance was fleeting, with its presence dwindling from the charts after only a few weeks.

Sweet Like Candy sparked debate among fans and critics. Fans loved the album's personal, raw nature, speculating that several songs were about her past relationships, including rumored ties to a member of ArmCandy and Yeojun of Pushing Daisies. OO1. Let's start off with the fact Sena's debut showcase SOLD OUT! All 15,000 seats were filled with constellations, her closest friends, and some other idols. You already know all of Venus was there cheering her on. They all made little signs to show their support. Klara wore a cute little headband with Sena's face on it that she and Elliot of Pushing Daisies; it was all very cute and a much-needed moment for Constellations.

Shockingly, Bliss was there to show her support alongside HautePink members Misun and Fame, which caused a lot of heated debate on constellation Twitter and some fan wars between them and Coutures, but what's new there? Not only were the Venus girls there but a whole bunch of idols came to support their favorite fake maknae! SEE WHO WAS AT SENA'S SHOWCASE IN HER INSTA DUMP!

OO2. Sena did a lot of interviews for her debut! She was on PSICK SHOW, The Kstar Next Door, Buzzfeed UK, and Hong Seokcheon's Jewel Box! This girl was everywhere and capturing the hearts of literally everyone she interacted with. She also got her own variety show, "Sweet Like Sena," where she'd basically try to make candy from scratch every episode and fail miserably. She'd have some guests on the show, which caused some really fun and iconic moments, like when Klara joined her to make rock candy. They literally made the candy so hard it was like a rock, resulting in the girls losing their minds as they tried to see who could break the candy first. This was the first time Sena really got to show her variety skills and she did not disappoint!

OO3. While on PSICK SHOW, they repeatedly tried to get her to spill who the album was about, and she would not give it up! Either she'd laugh it off or answer with, "I think it's obvious. Listen to the songs." with a smirk on her face. There were a lot of speculations from fans, but most concluded that the album is either about Yeojun of Pushing Daisies; they did major detective work to come to this conclusion, like, building timelines based on posts, deleted posts, and when Sena and Yeojun were seen together or a member of Arm Candy due to the on the nose title of the album.

"I don't think it matters who it's about. It just matters that it's good," Sena would say during her PSICK interview as she played with the ends of her hair and puckered her lips at the camera, "but some of you guys are riiight!" She'd teased, laughing at herself and covering her mouth.

OO4. Every encore stage, she did something special like pulling her Venus members on stage with her, a tradition for Venus solos at this point, inhaling helium from some balloons to pitch her voice during a stage, dressing like a cat for one of them, and most famously letting her backup dancers sing while she danced which was a hit with fans. Her live vocals were praised for her stability, though she was trashed for an encore performance of "Get Him Back" where she was a bit pitchy and out of breath, but in her defense she was tired so!

OO5. Not many scandals! The only real notable ones were her outfits being "too revealing" or "try hard" which...wasn't a big deal. It stayed in the stan twitter bubble relatively so Sena never saw any of it despite being very active on social media.

The other scandal involved none other than our favorite DeepDive boy, Finn Lee! The pair were spotted out and about together A LOT, like if Sena was spotted by fans, Finn was right there behind her. Though they would consistently say they were just friends, they were also seen hugging and hanging onto each other outside of a club, which caused a bit of a stir. Still, they never cleared it up with fans, and Mydol never released a statement. This just wasn't at the top of the priorities list lol!

OO5. OVERALL! SENA HAS A GREAT TIME! She was always glowing when she was on stage or at fansigns and giving it her all every performance. It was a breath of fresh air for constellations fighting for their lives just a few months ago. It was really a good time, genuinely. Everyone was pretty happy and supportive of their girl, and she was so happy with how everything turned out! Despite not having much creative control over her music videos and outfits, she was super proud of how the songs turned out and how it all went about. Pretty smooth and overall happy era!

☻ ₊ ⊹ THE DOWNFALL OF 2LUVU

2LUVU (often shortened to 2LU, which, let’s be honest, is weird and kinda stupid since the name wasn’t exactly long to begin with) was JYP Entertainment’s first and last attempt at a coed group, currently inactive and disbanded. The lineup consisted on four members (two boys and two girls): Liv, Hanse, Jules, and Junseo. 2LUVU made their debut on March 12, 2018, with the EP ACTION!, which, unfortunately, flopped hard due to JYP’s half-hearted promotion efforts.

The EP was promoted for the sad amount of three weeks, including the pre-release period in which JYP posted a couple of photos of each member and called it a day. The MV teaser dropped only three days before the actual release, leaving no time for barely any hype to build up around the group’s debut. Once the EP was out, 2LUVU only performed the title track U READY? four times. Surprise, surprise! They didn’t get any wins because who were they, anyways? No one knew! They came out of nowhere so no one was expecting them. On top of all the lack of promotion, a lot was going on in the industry at the moment. Just to name some names, KRUSH and STUPID CUPID happened to be promoting around the same time, which banished any remaining hope the group had at getting any win at all. If the effect these groups had wasn’t negative enough for 2LUVU, the VENUS debuted only five days later, completely overshadowing them and their silly little song. Let’s just say, JYP wasn’t the brightest when deciding on the group’s debut date.

Following their debut, 2LUVU remained silent for almost a year. This made the few fans the group had gathered completely forget about them. Honestly, with JYP in charge, the group was doomed from the start, but leaving them without any new music for a whole year? Even their small fanbase was losing their minds! Rumor has it that JYP had bigger, more successful groups to focus on, so they just sidelined 2LUVU after their flop of a debut. I guess, at some point, someone remembered the group existed and that they hadn’t had a single comeback. So, they got a second chance in February 2019, though this time with a way smaller budget but slightly better promotions. Their digital single XOXO did better than ACTION!, but it still wasn’t enough to cover all the costs. JYP ended up disbanding the group and pretending they never existed in the first place. I mean it! No one in the company talks about them and, when being asked about their time in 2LUVU, the former members always avoid the question. Expect for Junseo, I guess. He likes to point out how awful his time in the group was and how much he despised their concept and discography.

She’s now an active member of IDOL MAKER’s EVERMORE as the group’s main vocalist and visual princess.

🍓 CHOI HANSE, 2002 ₊ ⊹ Hanse’s contract was bought by IDOL MAKER right away, but he’s still in the company’s basement ever since! His fans continuously beg for his redebut on twitter, but so far IDOL MAKER has turn a deaf ear to their pleas.

🦋 JULIANA ‘JULES’ SANTOS, 2002 ₊ ⊹ Jules is now one of the famous Pick Me dolls! After 2LUVU disbanded, Jules was sent to Girls Planet 999, where she didn’t make the cut to debut with Kep1er. But then her contract was bought by Heartbreak and she’s finally got the success she always deserved.

🌈 LEE JUNSEO, 2000 ₊ ⊹ Junseo, now going by the stage name JUNO, is a soloist under IDOL MAKER. He redebuted on 2020, only a year after 2LUVU’s disbandment. Even though his redebut was a total success thanks to IDOL MAKER’s management, he’s initial fame has been declining lately. You could say people has grown tired of his music!

DEAR CHERUBS is a five-part project released between 2021 and 2023 by the girl group STUPID CUPID. each member released two songs wrapped in an ep album, with each ep being promoted for a specific number of weeks. the project showcases each member's individual talents and unique styles, highlighting their versatility and creativity. through this project, STUPID CUPID aimed to give fans a deeper insight into their personal artistry and musical influences, offering a diverse range of genres and concepts.

THE  MURDER  OF  THE  WHITE  SWAN  narrates  the  intense,  unspoken  attraction  between  two  individuals.  VIVA  is  tormented  by  the  thought  of  her  love  interest  being  with  someone  else,  and  her  feelings  are  further  heightened  by  this  person's  physical  presence  and  allure.  the  lyrics  convey  longing  and  frustration,  as  both  parties  are  aware  of  their  mutual  desire  but  have  yet  to  act  on  it.  the  lyrics  highlight  the  internal  conflict  between  maintaining  the  fantasy  of  this  perfect  connection  and  the  desire  to  turn  it  into  reality.  VIVA  dreams  of  being  with  the  love  interest  but  is  tired  of  the  unfulfilled  fantasies  and  wants  to  make  them  real.  this  tension  between  dreaming  and  actualising  her  desires  is  a  central  theme  throughout  the  album.  just  like  JEANNE,  VIVA  shocked  everyone  by  releasing  such  a  mature  ep,  but  the  fandom  praised  the  company  for  waiting  until  VIVA  was of  legal  age  before  letting  her  release  this.

the  main  story  of  CALLBACK?  is about an  emotional  struggle  and  the  desire  for  clarity  in  a  relationship  filled  with  mixed  signals.  the  album  explores  yearning,  frustration,  and  vulnerability  as  AIMEE  navigates  the  complexities  of  dealing  with  an  indecisive  love  interest.  the  narrative  captures  the  tension  of  wanting  someone  deeply  while  grappling  with  the  uncertainty  and  confusion  of  their  inconsistent  behaviour.  the  ep  was  released  after  the  group’s  second  english  track,  B.O.Y.,  and  it  seemed  like  it  came  at  the  right  time  due  to  the  CHERUBS’  strike  against  the  english  single.  many  came  to  support  AIMEE’s  solo,  yet  no  matter  what,  they  still  called  it  THE  WORST  SOLO  DEBUT  because  of  their  dislike  towards  the  song's  repetitiveness.  during  a  live  session,  AIMEE  revealed  that  she  was  heartbroken  after  finding  out  the  fans  disliked  the  music  because  it  was  the  first  time  she  had  no  help  producing  it.

90S  BABY  is  TOMIE's  story  of  someone  who  has  been  confined  by  societal  norms  and  expectations,  always  trying  to  fit  into  a  certain  mold.  the  lyrics  "always  the  same  old  recipe,  like  a  good  kid"  and  "the  image  of  me  that  you  judged  arbitrarily"  highlight  the  pressure  to  conform  and  the  struggle  to  meet  others'  expectations.  TOMIE  decided  to  cast  off  these  expectations  and  embrace  her  true  self.  lines  like  "sugarcoat,  i  cast  off"  and  "just  move,  as  i  want,  dancing  for  myself"  signify  a  bold  decision  to  live  authentically  and  pursue  personal  happiness,  regardless  of  others'  opinions.  this  marks  a  significant  shift  from  seeking  external  validation  to  finding  self-worth  within.  after  releasing  this  ep  at  the  end  of  2023,  the  group's  fandom  decided  to  make  a  poll,  and  vote  for  their  favourite  DEAR  CHERUBS  ep.  TOMIE's  ep  won  by  a  landslide,  and  VIVA  received  second  place  in  the  votes.

RXMANCE is KRUSH’s fifth full studio album. the album includes nine tracks, including the title track, MIDAS TOUCH. RXMANCE sold 701,219 copies on the first day of its release, and 1,262,272 in the first week. RXMANCE peaked at number two on the gaon album chart along with MIDAS TOUCH on the k-pop hot 100. the song also won 7 music show awards. it did amazing both domestically and internationally internationally, debuting at number one on the billboard k-pop hot 100 and the world digital songs chart. promotions for RXMANCE lasted about a month, performing MIDAS TOUCH and a few other b-sides such as I GO CRAZY BECAUSE OF YOU, YOU THINK?, LOOK AT ME, and OH BOY on music shows and festivals, along with multiple variety show appearances.

↳ they were the topic of the week on stan twitter. from comments calling them the queens of the 2010s renaissance, to the multiple viral pictures of their styling and concept photos

↳ the official bratz tiktok account posted a video using midas touch and kaeleina freaked out on live for 10 minutes. she also commented on the bratz post “slayyyy 💜” and people demanded a collab… we’ll see if that happens in the future

↳ kaleina and moonsun stole the show with their rap verses while l.i and aeri hit the mark with their vocals. all girls received heavy praise for their stage presence, with many believing this concept suit them perfectly

౨ৎ ₊˚﹒✶ JANUARY 15TH MARKED PRIM’S 26th birthday. to celebrate the milestone, the idol had an industry wide birthday party, choosing to spend her special day beachside at doellette’s very own exclusive OPULENCE RESORT. given the expensive location and expansive guest list, it was compared to a red carpet event rather than a ‘small get together’ — as primrose had labelled it. the all exclusive party had the presence of press, with professional photographers also present to capture pictures of the night, filled with dinner, dancing and music.

—— the theme for event was white glam, with prim showing up in a pearl skirt and corset she had custom made for the night. guests were to enter via a white carpet, in contrast to red, to further fit the theme. nana’s outfit was a simple white dress with a large jacket and fur boots, along with a fur purse. bae instead opted for something more chic, wearing a white dress with a fur edge that extended towards the back. fans got a first look at the girls’ outfits for the night on prim’s official instagram, where she posted the three of them with the caption ‘🤍🤍’.

—— the night was highlighted by it’s dinner, with a range of courses on offer for those in attendance to enjoy, accompanied by music and dancing. taking place in opulence’s ballroom, the party also had access to the beach behind them, watching the sun set as they all shared cocktails before the official party started. some snuck away to swim, while others instead opted to stay inside and enjoy the ambience. regardless of how guests chose to spend it, it was a fun night for all involved. towards the end, bae gave a toast for the birthday girl, wishing her “a life full of love and laughs.”

so my laptop died last week, which sucks, and like, it was covered under a protection plan, so Amazon was taking it back, and I shipped it back on Monday, and it was supposed to arrive via UPS on Wednesday, at which point I would get my credit back and be able to buy a new laptop, easy peasy right? Not even a long trip. Florida to Mississippi, not far! And by Tuesday it was already in Mississippi, but then it said "delayed" and then of course Thursday was the 4th, but i wasn't so worried, because like, it was in the state! Mississippi isn't a very big state!

-_- well today it updated it and it's in NASHVILLE?? buddy, fella, we are going backwards now, we are not going in the right direction, this is not helpful

filled with dread that they will lose this and I will have to wait weeks for Amazon to sort it out

like, it could be worse, my mom's BFF lent me her laptop that she left down here (she lives with my mom during the winter, spends the rest of the year up at her permanent home in Cape Cod) but it's like... 11 inches and I'm totally a size queen when it comes to my preferred method of accessing the internet. Like, it's way better than a phone or a tablet (god tablets are stupid. What a stupid way to use the internet. Phones too. I can touch type at like 100+ words a minute and touchscreens OFFEND ME because i need the clacky-clacky)

so yeah it could be worse, so thanks for the substitute laptop Donna, but like, it's a borrowed computer and y'all know that's not ideal for myriad reasons. I had to customize a few things, like installing f.lux so eyestrain doesn't give me a fucking banger of a migraine

Today is Mom's 75th birthday! She is my favorite person in the world and I am going over to spend the weekend with her. I am going to get her a Reese's ice cream cake and a shit ton of her favorite chocolate because she has the most tremendous sweet tooth in her old age. And my other gift is that she's going out to see her best friend's band, an all women lesbian band called Girl Krush, play at a show and I'll be staying at her house to hang out with her dog. She doesn't like leaving him home alone for too long because he has a bit of separation anxiety and as I often like to joke, he is my mother's favorite child and must be comfortable at all times lol

HII MOOTIE! I'm really wanting to expand my music taste so I wanted to reach out to a few friends and see if there were any suggestions like musical artists or specific songs that were well-liked by my friends and moots! No pressure if you can't think of any/ don't want to!

Ghost. A Swedish rock band who have absolutely amazing music and I've been a fan for over 6 years!! They're a little (lot) satanic but that's ok it's part of their charm and vibes y'know. My favorite songs are definitely Cirice, Rats, Dance Macabre, Life Eternal, their cover of Jesus He Knows Me and Monstrance Clock

Nightwish. A Finnish symphonic metal band with absolutely lovely sounds and powerful instrumentals. Proud to say that I've been a fan practically since I was born because my mom is a fan, their music basically lives rent free in my head constantly. Some favorites of mine are Noise, Elan, and Wish I Had An Angel

Arctic Monkeys. They're pretty popular so I won't say much, but they're an indie rock group and as always, amazing sound. Favorites are Dangerous Animals, Arabella, No. 1 Party Anthem and I Wanna Be Yours

takayan is a Japanese rapper who follows the phenomenon of grown Japanese men somehow understanding perfectly mentally ill teenage girls. He plays around with genres because he takes recommendations from fans a lot but usually it's pretty upbeat and catchy. Lots of heavy topics, but still a vibe. Favorites are LOVE BEAM!!, Antithesis, Main Character, STALKER KRUSH FUNK!, Everything Is Painful Krush Funk! and Nightclub busters

Last one so I don't yap too much, but yesterday I finally checked out an artist my dear Nursey likes and now she's on my playlist a whole lot, Chappell Roan. I have no idea how to describe her sound since it does tend to vary a little,, but my fave songs are Good Luck, Babe!, Femininomenon, My Kink Is Karma and After Midnight
