Korean Conflict - Trump Vs Biden

Hello! What kind of workouts do you do, and what youtube channels do you rec???? I know youve answered this before, but i cant find the ask (^///^ )
hey! i don't really follow any youtube channels closely anymore, i just do my own thing. and also i don't mind this question being asked like 50 times because i like getting people active LOL. if my mediocre body inspires people, then i don't mind at all! read carefully anon :)
again to be completely honest, i am not an expert, never claimed to be, so whatever advice you're going to read right now is just my own experience/research. i am just a casual person who likes to move.
i started doing pushups during the pandemic in 2020 after a breakup basically, i was looking at shirtless guys on tiktok and i got inspired LOL so i just googled how to get a chest and it said pushups do the trick. and it does in fact work.
right now i'm trying to walk everyday, for example today i walked like 12-13k steps (your phone tracks this automatically, you can download an app for it too) because i read that walking is extremely good for weight loss, and just VERY good for you in general.
aside from that i have a pull up bar in my room, so basically i just lift myself up with both arms, as much as i can. i do this everyday pretty much, just randomly. i don't track anything, i just do it to maintain my body i guess? like i said idk what the fk i'm doing LOL i just workout for fun. genuinely.
in general, diet is key, make sure you're eating like an insane amount of protein per day. like 100g per day average, depends on your weight. i think the recommended amount is like 0.7-0.8g of protein times your weight. do not stop eating protein. every single day eat stuff like greek yogurt, protein shakes, protein bars (i get these from gas stations and amazon tbh) like you have to be consistent lmao.
i know protein is DISGUSTING most of the time. especially those chalky protein chips and bars. but, beauty is pain. just do it.
#anon#i need to start a fucking tag for this shit#i swear i have one already idk#but since i keep getting asked lmao#sen's workout advice#i should get paid to write these LMAOOO#ALSO please note (i hope people still read tags) my diet is pretty shitty right now#i prioritize happiness and eating good food over looking good#but i still wanna look good shirtless/naked lmao#so idk i'm at this eternal conflict between eating fat/sugary stuff like sweet bread at korean cafes#but then i'll chug like protein right after#etc. etc. it's just a constant battle#like with my current diet my abs will never reveal#so just letting you know i'm not really a good role model

best bls with external conflict (conflict outside the relationship)?
Hum, this one kind of answers this but it's not been updated in a while:
BLs With The Best External Conflict
Until We Meet Again (Thailand) - will probably always top this list. It’s a perfectly executed story, fantastic well seeded plot twists, and the only BL I would love to see adapted by other countries or read professionally translated. There is a lot of internal strife but the conflict is the result of the sins of the past, so I think it counts.
Color Rush (Korea) - I lost my mind over the allegory and the perfection of the story to the point of forgiving it certain other sins in stiffness and low heat. The world-building is too simple for it to play well to a SF/F genre only audience but it’s absolutely groundbreaking for BL. (Color Rush 2 continues the story and while I don’t like it as a BL, and the plot is somewhat typical, it’s still better than most.)
He’s Coming to Me (Thailand) - such a clever take on both paranormal romance and the cohabitation trope, what I love about this is how closely the story and the supernatural conceits are married to each other. Basically boy and ghost move in together, fall in love while they investigate murder.
HIStory 3: Trapped (Taiwan) - Taiwan often struggles with story structure but Trapped is different. It has a baby murder investigation that promotes conflict between the leads, so the romantic tension is between plot and character, it’s so clever.
Long Time No See (Korea) - Catfishing assassins on either side of a turf war who fall in love not knowing they are on opposite sides. Or do they? Good fight sequences, mature characters, high heat, very suspenseful, AND an HEA. If you like KinnPorsche you will LOVE this one.
Bad Buddy (Thailand) - This was GMMTV’s flagship BL and it started 2022 on a BANG (okay no actual banging but you know what I mean), starring heavy hitters Ohm & Nanon in a pitch perfect university Romeo & Romeo masterpiece that will give you domesticity meets pain whiplash throughout and jet lag at the end. The conflict is all family and friend pressure, some of which is overworked, but it has great production values, killer acting, and some conscious effort to correct for half a decade of Thai BL’s anti-queer mistakes. Full review.
Nobleman Ryu’s Wedding (Korea) - this has a 12th Night meets Cinderfella feel to it, plus some great story tricks like a plot that requires a historical setting (I love it when narrative elements are codependent).
Triage (Thailand) - a “correct the past” Groundhog Day story, that has narrative baggage I normally do not like but is so clever about time loops, I have to forgive it my own hang-ups. About a doctor who must save a boy to fix reality, but not in the usual way.
Not Me (Thailand) - GMMTV gave us a dark disestablishment narrative (in a time of civil unrest) with established queer award-winning director Anucha and starring the biggest guns of BL, OffGun and IT WAS AN AMAZING THING to get to experience at the time - nerve racking but remarkable. But was it ACTUALLY BL? It certainly has a lot of BL elements, but in the end romance was not what this show was about, or even what it was genuinely trying to be as a performance piece. Still a special moment in Thai cinema, certainly worth your time. Don’t worry, it all ends happily. Full review.
The Eclipse (Thailand) - GMMTV does gay Blacklist with a good boy/bad boy pairing. Starred First & Khaotung plus the side dish pair from FUTS NeoLouis. This is a good show but the cast was excellent and the leads were absolutely flawless elivating it beyond good. They gave us a nuanced and multifaceted burgeoning relationship: philosophical (and socio-political) conflict contrasted to moments of empathy; flirtation contrasted to moments of genuine affection. This narrative is less about love than it is about courage and tenderness. However, near the end the pacing was off and the plot frustrating. Still, this is an enjoyable watch, with an finale that features verbal consent and a funny blooper reel.

what are your opinions on the yeojin mcdonalds thing?
Umm I think it's really awkward and everyones handling it stupidly. Tell yeojin and ctd that she should stop eating mcdonalds if she cares about palestinian lives yes. Demand an apology if you want yes. Verbally abuse her no. Immature of her to close comments without addressing the controversy yes. Is her disordered eating relevant whatsoever? No. Pretend that Korea is some isolated land full of idiots who know nothing about global politics no. Pretend that Korea is on par with the US regarding info about boycotts and the palestinian genocide no. But at the end of the day Yeojin has access to the internet, she's undoubtedly seen the complaints, all it takes is a little sorry won't happen again. But everyone is being so weird about it. Like its always all about nuance really.
I'm just thinking of the time Yeojin reacted badly when she got called out for her disordered eating the first time, then took some time away and apologised sincerely. Hoping this will happen again because I have faith she's that type of person. Though understandable if people aren't wanting to forgive her over this.
#idk why people who don't live in korea are trying to say that everyone in korea knows about the conflict and boycotts because#well no! not really!#that being said it's not hard for a gen MZ korean person to make themselves aware especially with intl fans who are directly telling you#i don't blame yeojin for not knowing in the first place because nobody fucking discusses it here#but NOW? after closing the comments? thats too egregious.#also i know the fact that hannams are speaking about her ig comments section will be stressing her out too

I meant demoralizing to russians
#this harkens back to korean war & vietnam war in terms of casualties.#that casualties can mount gradually to really big numbers but the conflict turns stalemate.#I hope ukrainians understand that they’re much closer to victory than they realize.#and so ukraine is at a pivotal point to avert a stalemate#nothing is more demoralizing than proving that russians are faking strength behind russian frontlines.#for example to penetrate and reach luhansk city even if unable to keep it would cast a deep doubt in russian forces#taiwantalk#ukraine#russia

Hello, P’ABL! I have a pretty specific ask, and since you know more BLs and more about BLs than anyone else I know, I thought maybe you could help me.
I’m doing a presentation for uni next week about diversity and intercultural communication in the workplace, and I was thinking about including a scene from a series to talk about how this can look like in real life (or as real as you can get with scripted shows). And BL might be a good genre to include here, since a) it’s Asian which means it’s already culturally different from the European setting our uni is in, and b) there might be the added bonus of including people with diverse sexual and gender identities in a workplace setting.
So, my question is: can you think of any scenes from BLs that include culturally diverse characters in the workplace, talk specifically about the issue of cultures clashing in the workplace, or (even better) show characters from different cultures having difficulties working together/understanding each other because of their differences? Culture can be anything here—nationality, language, age, gender, sexual orientation, disabilities, ethnicity, social class, religion, etc. If the characters being queer factors into it, even better (we don’t talk nearly enough about queer identities in this class, and I don’t think we mentioned genderqueer people even once).
I realize this is super specific, but I would be really glad for any ideas. At least we’ve been getting a lot more office BLs recently, so that might make it easier? I personally still haven’t come up with anything good. Thank you for helping!!
You mean since the ZeeNew stanning fucktards gunned down the Step By Step boardroom advertising scene?
Sadly, no. Although I am sure someone banked that scene.
can you think of any scenes from BLs that include culturally diverse characters in the workplace, talk specifically about the issue of cultures clashing in the workplace, or (even better) show characters from different cultures having difficulties working together/understanding each other because of their differences?
The different cultures in play would be queer vs straight. Mostly it will be Thailand and Taiwan who grapples with this. But as more office BLs are being made, it's being addressed more often.
If the characters being queer factors into it, even better:
Cutie Pie
Definitely New Employee addresses this a few times. In fact it's the best BL for representing the contrast of queer/straight culture and how that can interest with the culture of a workplace.
Step by Step certainly. I'm thinking about Chot being out at work but also the way Pat gets treated and Jeng gets talked about after they start a relationship. It's different than it would be for a straight couple.
A Boss and A Babe had a few scenes about this kind of thing too.
Some others but I can't think of an exact scene:
Paint with Love
Top Secret Together
Love is Science
Call it What You Want
Work From Heart
Senpai, This Can’t be Love!
Plus & Minus
