KuroEne have some official art refs (official art, merch arts) that can be inconsistent in colours (ex. their headphones) so I also gave some notes and quick edits of official arts.

I sent these arts of Kuroha and Ene as my main refs 🖤💙

I sent more too, but I felt that since I'm commissioning chibis of them, that these arts simplify their designs nicely.

I did a little edit of their concept arts for fun. I mainly did it to get a clearer full body ref of Saeru to make it easier for the artists I'm commissioning

My main focus is on 9/6 and XX/6, basically all related ships (KuroEne, HaruTaka, KonoEne)

Depending on the arts (including merch arts), Kuroha's clothes either get coloured with the same black colour, or with the inner clothes as a darker black.

I prefer when his inner clothes and boots, etc., are a darker black cuz it has more visual contrast against his design. It also differentiates the clothes more to have the outer shirt be a lighter gray black vs. the darker blacks in his hair and inner clothes.

His entire design is in dark colours (black, gray), and the gold in his eyes and facial markings cuts away from that. Yellow is a bright vivid colour.

Though it makes sense in MVs like Outer Science and some official arts/merch why his outer and inner shirts are the same colour to not distract from the mood/atmosphere, and also in pieces/merch that use a limited colour palette

For the FIRST time, I finally get to see that Kuroha art in full and not in crusty quality for once. It's a happy day for me

She is TINY compared to them... Haruka/Konoha/Kuroha is 182 cm (6'0") and Ene is 157 cm (5'2") or 640 px tall... Portable gf. They could put her in their pocket

Interesting that Ene's thigh highs were originally asymmetrical in the concept arts. The finalized design definitely fits her more.

Simplifying Ene's headphones is completely fine with me cuz of the rectangular part on it...

Commissions

Whenever I commission artists, I send a detailed description of the characters' relevant design details, poses and expressions, etc., in the form itself.

Then I attach all necessary art refs in a Google Drive Folder and then send the link to the artist.

Because I know that sending a lot of art refs and a detailed description, just makes things easier for the artists you're commissioning.

VGen Rambles

VGen's site layout and format are honestly better than Ko-fi's imo

VGen has a REALLY nice UI for commissioning artists... I prefer it over Ko-fi when it comes to commissioning artists.

It shows all your commission requests in an organized format, and it has a really good commission request form, where the artist can send invoices.

VGen lets you upload more files and links as art refs. It's better than Ko-fi's in that it allows you to upload more files and add links. Iirc, I think Ko-fi's has a limit of 5

The artists can DM with their clients on VGen directly, and also leave files in high quality directly on the commission form after completion

There's also a review section, typically the artist leaves a review for the client and the client can give one. I always leave a message for the artist after the commission is done to show my gratitude 🥰

The two eventually split after an argument and for 16 years since then, Shinju began operating an inn in Takigakure along with her recent girlfriend Kohaku, who has been researching forbidden justu used by the Akatsuki.

It's a beautiful day and I am a horrible goose.

So chapter 5 of ‘The People We Think We Know’ is almost done so don't worry, but I’ve had a brain worm for a one or two-shot Iruka x Reader that is the oblivious!Sunshine x infatuated!Grumpy trope, with the Reader being the Grumpy one of the two that goes something like this:

Reader is tall (like 6'4"/1.94m) and intimidating (with a heavy RBF)

To give you an idea of how they would seem intimidating with their height, most of the Konoha shinobi are about 5'10"/1.78m or shorter

(For ref: Iruka is 5'10"/1.78m, Kakashi is 5'11"/1.81m, Guy is 6'/1.84m)

Reader is seen as pretty desirable by other shinobi. There are a lot of people that have tried to woo them, but they have been generally uninterested

Reader hadn’t met Iruka yet since they primarily take a lot of high-ranking escort missions outside of Konoha

Meets Iruka for the first time at a large jounin/chuunin mixer at a bar:

Iruka: Hi, it’s lovely to meet you! *big, sweet smile* Reader (internally): Oh…I guess I need to go buy a ring now.

Reader shows some interest in him, chatting him up some and subtly asks him on a date

After Iruka leaves, Reader takes a nonchalant sip of their drink and just blankly says: I’m gonna fuck that man

Everyone loses it:

Iruka (internally): Ah, there’s no way this successful, kickass, and amazing person would be interested in someone like me. Reader (with a wedding ring burning a hole in their pocket): No, no, you aren't boring me and I have nothing to do today (is absolutely shirking the thing they're supposed to be doing today). Please, tell me more about how you developed Konoha’s early development program for our child education system on your own.

If there is a parent or someone bothering Iruka, Reader will just come up from behind Iruka’s shoulder and glare at the person with an intimidating “is there something wrong here?”

Reader absolutely is the one to propose first:

Iruka: We haven’t even dated yet! Reader (still on one knee with the ring out): All of our hangouts have been dates. Iruka: ??? No they weren’t–…WAIT A MINUTE

Just overall, the Gomez and Morticia Addams dynamic, but Reader is Gomez and Iruka is Morticia

Tf is she even doing here!!!: Aiko is sent to Otogakure on behalf of ROOT as a line of communication. She doesn’t particularly like doing this, as she knows that it’s crawling with people she’d consider to be “bad” (she is not wrong), but does it out of obligation for her village. She quickly realizes that Kabuto is awful, Orochimaru scares the shit out of her to the point she doesn’t even want to face him, and that this place sucks. Aiko isn’t completely alone, however, as she finds Daia to be the most “normal” out of the three she has to deal with. She wouldn’t consider the girl a friend, but she seems the most willing to listen to her.

More about that: Aiko really only talks to Daia outside of official business, considering they’re both 16 year old girls who do similar things. Again, Aiko doesn’t consider her a “friend”, she wouldn’t go around Konoha talking about Daia like she’s her bestest friend ever. She feels somewhat safe with her, as safe as one could be in Otogakure, and thus formed a connection. Aiko, to make herself feel somewhat better, feels some sort of attraction towards Daia. WOAH

Daia initially found Aiko a tad annoying and was also somewhat jealous of her. When she realized that Aiko was flawed and was weaker than her, that’s when she wanted to spark a connection. Aiko holds no power over her, and Daia revels in that. Due to her upbringing as well, Daia isn’t used to having friends or a connection beyond that of service. She’s willing to do anything to keep her around, even if that means crossing some moral boundaries.

Tldr: Aiko is really out of her element and kinda trauma bonds with Daia, while Daia becomes heavily attracted to her in a not so normal way. Damn.

So, this started cuz I wanted to find out who the merch artist for the KagePro chibi (SD) merch was, and I eventually found out that it's Fujimori.

Fujimori has a very cute chibi style ^^ Fujimori drew for a LOT of the KagePro chibi (SD) merch. I feel like their chibi style is very recognizable.

I love how they do colours and expressions... They're very cute. I love the gold highlights on the hair too hehe

I made a colour edit for fun ^^ These are just my personal prefs for his colours ^^

I'm in the process of sorting Kuroha and Ene's refs cuz their official arts + merch arts can be inconsistent in colours, and I'm trying to make it easier for the artists I commission. Since I wanna comm more arts of them...

I started getting into archiving arts in the past few years, so it's something I'm doing for fun in my personal time ^^

I edited Ene to get a sense of scale, though it's not perfect.

I personally like having his clothes as gray outer clothes, and dark black inner clothes (undershirt) since it adds more visual contrast to his design.

I also like keeping his headphones and neckwarmer/neckband arrows as gray, Sidu's canon colours for him.

Since his design is in all dark colours (black, white, gray), the contrast then gets drawn to his yellow eyes. It breaks away from all the dark colours, since it's a bright warm colour.

Adds a splash of gold colour to his overall dark colour scheme.

But the idea of his headphones glowing yellow as an HC is cool, too!

Iirc it varies depending on the official arts + merch arts whether his black clothes are coloured gray shirt + dark black shirt (underneath), or his clothes are all black (like in Outer Science, where it looks better that way to have his hair/clothes as pitch black, due to the limited colour palette, and for visual contrast reasons)

Sakumo being forced to watch as his son breaks around the edges and all but throws himself on his opponents blades despite never turning his weapons against himself. Not like Sakumo did. Never that.

Sakumo not telling him that even when Kakashi was home he spent as much time watching over Naruto as Sakumo himself did. Sakumo watching Naruto walk up to an ANBU in a hound mask and ask why he felt so sad.

little Naruto would probably be really uncomfortable with human touch at first because the only kind he’s ever know is cold and sends shudders down even his spine sometimes. Warmth is something he’s always craved, but it’s lack has made it feel like too much. Though oddly enough, it’s only in certain situations. Lord thirds hand in his hair, Mizuki’s resting between his shoulder blades. Too much.

I hate everything. How DARE that hurt so much. Just fuckkkk

The only time warmth felt comfortable was when he pressed up against Hound-San, who felt enough like Uncle Sakumo that Naruto could forget the too hot feeling that made shoulder pats or side hugs feel so… weird.

Hashirama and Naruto hold funerals for the dead plants with the ghosts their named after crying in the background. Whenever a new generation is sent off, they get a speech for their “bravery and valor” and are thanked for their “sacrifice for the cause” which is making Kakashi happy.

They both do the knitting with senbon. Naruto makes the most garish neon sweaters that are so unfairly comfortable. Kakashi probably does a dog pattern. Omfg Pakkun with a little old man sweater

Sakumo is fully sold on the pair of Kiba-and-Akamaru taking care of his youngest pup for the rest of his life.

After the tenth WWE Smackdown between the two of them Naruto sits them down like toddlers and make them talk it out. Half of the time every week is dedicated to the Tobirama and Madara show because they never stop.

If you could choose a favorite oc of yours, who would it be? Can you send refs of them? Talk a bit about them, please

Omg, this is probably my first genuine ask that is not related to ask games, pretty excited right now, not gonna lie. ;-; Before I answer, I'd like to thank you for dropping an ask and for the interest, this means so so much to me. ♥ While my biggest obsession has been Attack On Titan for years now, my favourite OC is Myline, my Naruto fan character. Here is her reference sheet, I commissioned Xcaeli for this one:

Visually speaking, she has a pretty simple design with some Uchiha blood in her, nothing really impressive about her, just another character with black hair that shares blood with the Uchiha clan, but for me she is perfect!

This girl was also the first OC I ever created, I have had her for 17 years, which is crazy! Her design changed only a bit as she has my favourite combo, aka black hair + red eyes, but her personality and story has changed several times over the years.

She is from my own fanmade village, which I called Yamigakure, an independent village that is now part of Ame No Kuni (fan name people use for the country of rain) after years of war and colonization attempts. She is the result of an affair between Yashiro Uchiha (who was among the ninjas that Konoha sent to Yamigakure to help protect the village from the invaders, a last resort mission that Yamigakure paid for) and her mother, Yabuza Mizuno, so she is fruit of a betrayal.

She loses her family to the war and is rescued by old Madara, who knew about Yashiro's affair and decided she'd probably be helpful for his future plans, later on he also rescues Obito and asks him to keep her alive once he is gone for their own future benefit. She is Obito's disciple.

She is an Akatsuki member, which makes her a villain, however, her character is full of nuances and has valid reasons for her goals in my opinion. She is a grumpy introvert and her lack of social skills mostly come from the negligence she suffered during her childhood and youth, while she looks very intimidating to strangers, she cares a lot and is extremely loyal to the few she loves and literally lives for them, sometimes she feels like she is no one, like she is just a shadow of Obito.

She is an extremely avid reader, books and ninja history are her passion and she is known for stealing books during her missions. As someone who was raised in poverty, inequality and oppression were not strangers to her, such life experiences made her respect the poor and the oppressed, especially the ones that can't do much about it, such as kids and the eldery. Whenever she can, she is seen helping people around Amegakure, not only with groceries but also with books as she believes that everyone should read more, so she likes to encourage people to do so, she is also often seen teaching children how to read and write as most parents can't afford education. And omg, I just realized I talked too much already, I didn't even realize it, I'm so sorry for the long answer!
